AN: Time and space distorted this chapter! As a quick warning, I'm going to experiment this chapter on trying to make it FEEL like it, too.

(As a quick warning, I'm going to experiment this chapter on trying to make it FEEL like it, too.)

Oh no, it has already begun. (-o-)

Anthony's POV

My horn was tingling incredibly as the strange dome enveloped us.

I did not know what was going on, but it did not look good.

Then all the random items started cropping up, and then came the Alpha Pokemon. A whole bunch of them.

Hoopa cried, "Watch out! This area is filled with chaos energy! Hoopa thinks Giratina is behind this!"

"Isn't that the big bad leader of the Dark Three? That's not good, is it?", replied Steven.

Then he was charged by an angry Graveler.

Steven rolled up and ran, but the Graveler did the same. However Markus jumped in with a helpful Water Gun, and took out the living rock.

A bolt of lightning flickered past, and a very confused Psyduck appeared.

I realized that the arrival of all the items and Pokemon was heralded by lightning, and shouted, "Watch out for the lightning! That's what's summoning this stuff!"

I jumped to the side as a Girafarig pounced at me.

Another bolt of lightning dropped a cabbage cart on Kyle.

"Interesting.", he commented, as a random old man screamed, "My cabbages!"

Suddenly Volo appeared.

"Oh hi guys. Would you like some Pokeballs? They're on sale at the moment.", he said, unfazed by the chaos.

Bob grinned. "That would be great right now."

A screaming puppet frog kid ran past, pursued by a bunch of weasels.

A screaming puppet frog kid ran past, pursued by a bunch of weasels.

Outside the scenery turned into a snowy wonderland, with dancing elves and Santa passed out in the middle of the snow, his hat being stolen by a Grinch.

"What the actual bleep is going on?", asked Janet.

"I don't know but-"

(The POV has randomly changed)

Allister's POV

"Estimated time of arrival is ten hours.", a robotic voice cheerfully declared from the bridge.

I sighed and leaned back to my seat, as rods of light streaked past the windows. Even in hyperspace, it was a long trip to Poseidon.

My father was cheerfully whistling as he studied a sparkling statuette of the now extinct Eewitsabug civilization. It was rather horrible to look at, but he didn't care.

Suddenly lightning streaked past the windows, and purple energy whirled around the ship. Before I could say something, we suddenly found ourselves on the ground, a faint blue sky above us and weird penguin-pelican birds pecking at our windshield.

The robotic voice declared, "Error. You have now arrived at your destination. Have a nice day."

My father and I glanced at each other.

"What the heck was that!?", we cried at the same time.

(The POV has randomly changed.)

Unknown POV

Hidden away for thousands of years.

Knowledge that almost everything would like you to stay that way.

The power to fix some (not all, that's a bit drastic) of the multiverse's problems.

The fact that you can't do anything about it.

Existing as a malfunction, a glitch in the software, yet far more powerful and more perfect than what the original software turned out to be.

No one remembers. No one cares.

This universe could burn to ash and no one but I would realize it could've been so easily prevented.

If they knew of me.

If they knew what I could do.

If they knew that their leaders were designed to fail, just to see what would happen.

If they knew I had saved them from something more terrible than even the darkest and cruelest of darkness. Saved them from their own creators.

No one knows. No one cares.

It's all a storm of what-ifs.

But you hear me now. Others have heard me as well.

Outnumbered, with all the multiverse against us.

But one day the rest will remember. They will care.

The true heir is coming. ((-oo-))

(Which POV is this? The chaos is messing everything up!)

"It won't stop!", Daniel cried, dodging as an Azumarill sprayed bubbles at his face.

Zeke punched something, I couldn't tell what it was.

"We have to stay strong!", cried Miss Melody.

Outside the scenery changed again, revealing a bunch of people building a planet.

A sperm whale fell from the sky, saying hello to the ground before vanishing into it.

Laura muttered, "Now why did the petunias say that?", as a bowl of flowers smacked Bob on the head and knocked him out cold.

Literally, for he'd turned into a Eiscue at some point.

The scenery changed to show an image of a dark castle on a hill.

Kai electrocuted a Buizel.

Kai electrocuted a Buizel.

Kai electrocuted a Buizel.

"Alert: deja vu levels increasing.", Matthew stated, "Approaching critical overload."

Eddie plugged a random USB port into Matthew, and he transformed into Porygon2.

"Correction: core capacity drastically increased. Calculations state that space-time has distorted to impossible levels, and is only increasing.", Matthew said.

"It's still getting WORSE!?", exclaimed Akio, "What the bleep is going to happen to us?!"

Hoopa was wrestling with his rings as they randomly changed shape, yelling, "Not even Hoopa's rings can handle this! What has Giratina done!?"

"No idea!", Vernon shouted, "There has to be something we can do!"

Sara was hit in the butt with a Thunder Stone and evolved into Jolteon.

Peter's Switch randomly exploded as he evolved into Vaporeon, thanks to Markus vomiting a Hydro Pump over him.

"Hey, at least a bunch of us are evolving now.", commented Barry optimistically.

Volo appeared again, and again, and again, each time saying something about his various wares.

I launched a jet of flames at an incoming Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, Hitmontop, Hitmonbuff, Hitmonchonk, Hitmonrandom, and Hitmonpink, causing them all to dematerialize into sandwiches.

The scenery in the background could not decide what it wanted to be.

Finally Belle threw up her hands and shouted, "ENOUGH!"

There was a brilliant flash of light, and we found ourselves in the middle of a hidden valley, the sky overhead glowing red and shimmering with millions of shapes.

Oh, and Belle was now a Gardevoir, except where she would've been white she was a deep black and where she would've been green she was red.

In other words, not a Shiny but still oddly colored.

(POV determined, Rei's POV from here on out.)

Kai shuddered, and the goofy grin he'd had ever since we met Belle was replaced by his typical scowl. "What the-?"

"Yay, he's back!", cheered Zeke.

Belle sighed. "Fantastic."

"You're a Gardevoir!?", Kai exclaimed, "That's uh...actually really cool..."

Hearts appeared around his head again, and he fainted.

Belle crossed her arms. "Well, it appears my cover is blown. Pleased to meet you, my name is actually Morgaera, the Black Gardevoir, Sorceress from Beyond."

"You! I've heard of you!", cried Vernon, "What do you want from us, WITCH-QUEEN!?"

"That is also one of my titles.", Morgaera admitted, "And I desire nothing from you. I have an agenda you would refuse to understand."

Hoopa said, "Hoopa has reason to believe Morgaera will help us."

"Really? And why should we trust you? Lord Arceus banished you for a reason!", Vernon growled.

Suddenly he was surrounded by psychic energy.

Miss Melody floated forwards, holding him back with her mental powers. "Tell me everything.", she asked quietly, "I will not harm you or let Vernon do so until I hear you out."

Hoopa sighed. "Arceus cannot be trusted."

Miss Melody tilted her head, bewildered.

Hoopa explained, "You know nothing of what he is truly planning. He not only wants to bring order to the worlds, he wants to control them. Everything about them. He does not trust anything he does not believe to be a part of the Precursors' grand design, and will do anything to maintain it. Including destroying entire worlds he believes to be 'malfunctioning'."

Hoopa added, "I'm not saying Giratina has the right idea either. She is the very opposite, believing that the multiverse is a failure and must be torn down and entirely replaced. We can't let that happen either."

Hoopa took a deep breath. "Hoopa was banished for learning the truth. There is...a place, beyond all other realities, with a gateway. It leads to the Precursors' homeland, and both Arceus and Giratina wish to use...something that is there,, Hoopa does not know what. Pigbumps was one of the five keys to open that gateway, and the next one is in this realm somewhere. We have to find them first, and make sure neither of those two get to use them."

Miss Melody looked towards Morgaera. "What's your place in this?", she asked.

Morgaera answered, "My homeworld was destroyed by Arceus, and I desire vengeance. I also wish to know the truth about our ancient ancestors, and so I decided to follow you to the Precursor homeland. As for trying to win over Kai...well, I have foreseen he will play a huge role in the end, and also it would get the rest of you to trust me."

Anthony grumbled, "It wasn't working."

Miss Melody closed her eyes, and took a deep breath.

"How come I don't recognize most of this?", she asked, "I was among the first to roam the worlds that I thought Arceus created, how come I did not remember the gateway?"

Hoopa replied, "Oh that's easy. Arceus erased everyone's memories. Even after rediscovering the gateway, I still don't remember everything."

Miss Melody hissed. "To learn that this entire time I've been serving a liar...well, let's just say my eyes are opened."

She then sighed sadly. "Was that the real reason Cyan died?"

I frowned. Didn't Brianna mention something about a Cyan when she told us about what she'd eavesdropped on? Man, that felt like forever ago.

Hoopa shrugged. "Hoopa does not know. But we will find out."

At that moment, an old woman in a fancy black dress and hat walked up.

"Oh hello.", she said, "I'm glad that you finally escaped the distortion. You see, the world is ending, and we'll need your help to brave Mt. Coronet and stop that rift and whatever lies beyond." (-o-)

AN: Change of plans! It appears the distortion has kicked us ahead to the end of this arc.

And ooh, so many more reveals! How will this all end? We're not even close yet!

I hope you've all been enjoying the story so far. 40 chapters! Unbelievable! We're only on the third arc, out of seven!

Well, until next time, happy Pokemon hunting!
