At night, in Valerie's bedroom, she was on her bed listening to Star recap the most shocking thing that had happened to Dash in the afternoon.

"You're telling me that Danny Fenton kneed Dash in the dick so hard that Dash was walking funny for two hours," said Valerie.

Yeah, I couldn't believe it myself," said Star.

"And what's Dash going to do about it?"

"He told me that he was going to handle Danny himself."

"I guess his pride got hurt by that nut shot."

"I think Paulina would laugh about this if she wasn't still pissed about Dash running her shirt two days ago."

"Yeah, she is still bitching about it," Valerie thought.

"Now, let's forget about Dash and Danny. The winter formal is coming. Who do you think you're going to ask out?"

Valerie hadn't thought about asking someone out for the winter formal. There are some boys she could ask out just for one date.

"I don't know you yet," said Valerie.

"Kwan, of course," said Star.

"Hopefully he doesn't forget it."

"He better not."

Valerie and Star talked for a while before getting off the phone and doing other things.

The next day, after school, Valerie left her phone in the girls' locker room. When she got out of the locker room, she was about to head out of school when she saw Danny coming out of the gym with a bruise on his left cheek and looked annoyed.

"Did Dash do that to him?" Valerie thought

Valerie looked at the gym door window and saw Dash on the ground clutching his knee, and his nose was bleeding. She ran toward Danny, seeing how he was in the gym. It was quite obvious what had happened, but Valerie wanted to hear from her.

Valerie caught her with Danny, turned him around, and asked, "What did you do to Dash?"

"I have no idea what you are talking about," said Danny, still with the annoyed look on his face.

"I'm not stupid. You walked out of the gym and I saw Dash on the ground."

"Oh, then to answer your question, I beat up Dash."

"How come you couldn't even lift the heaviest of weights?"

"I learned to fight better thanks to two people. Now is that all because I've got paper to write."

"Do you think you'll get away with what you did to Dash?"

Danny raised an eyebrow and said, "yeah."

"What!"

"I mean, you still can't believe that I of all you people would kick Dash's ass who else will. Besides, Dash will be a laughing stock if anyone finds out."

Valerie realized that Danny had a point about him getting away with it.

"Now, before I leave, I would like to say that you need better friends." Danny walked off.

Valerie couldn't believe what had just happened and saw Danny walking away with no regard to what he had done to Dash.

"What the hell is going on with Danny?" Valerie thought

Later in the day, Valerie was back in her room. She couldn't stop thinking about Danny. She wonders if his friend knows what is going on with him. If not, she asks or tells them what's going on with their friend.

"Either way, I'm dreading the conversation I'm having with those two."
