Two days later, at Sam's house, she and Tucker were hanging out without Danny, who was at work. The two were playing a fighting game in the living room, in which Sam was annihilating Tucker until she beat him.
"Man, how did you get so good?" said Tucker.
"Ton of practice," says Sam, who grins.
"Let's go again."
"Seriously, I beat you about five times. What makes you think a sixth time is going to be different?"
"Um, I might get lucky."
Sam rolled her eyes. "Alright, but don't go complaining when I win again."
The doorbell rang; Sam got up from the floor and went to the door. She opened the door and saw Valerie. Sam immediately frowns upon seeing one of the A-listers and wonders why she was at her house.
"What do you want, Valerie?" "Sam said
Valerie gave her own frown at the goth girl. "Look, I'm not planning to stay here for long, Sam. I just want to talk about your friend Danny."
"About what was he?"
"Look, can we talk inside? I don't want anyone to notice me being here."
"I'll do you a favor. I'll just close the door on you. "
"Listen, just hear me out for a moment, then I'll let you get back to whatever you're doing."
"Fine," Sam sighs, "get in."
Valerie walked into Sam's house. As Sam closed the door behind her, Tucker got out of the living room to find out what was going on and saw Valerie. He put on a cocky grin.
"Hello, beautiful," said Tucker.
"Oh god, why are you here?" said Valerie.
"I could ask you the same thing, but I'm not complaining."
"Alright, Tucker knocked it off with the ladies' man gimmick for a moment," said Sam, whose arms were crossed, and looked at Valerie. "Now, why do you want to talk about Danny?"
"Have you noticed that he has been acting a lot different for the past few months?" asked Valerie.
"Yeah, I mean, ever since he started going to this new job," said Tucker.
"And what is that job?"
"He doesn't tell us about it."
"Are you just here to get dirt on him?" asked Sam.
"No, because for once I'm actually worried about your friend seeing how he beat up Dash two days ago," said Valerie.
"WHAT!" both Sam and Tucker shouted,
"He didn't tell you?"
Sam and Tucker indeed didn't know that Danny beat up Dash as much. They would have loved to see a beat-up Dash, but they would never have imagined Danny kicking Dash's ass.
"I'm sorry, but there is no way Danny could beat up Dash," said Tucker.
"Yeah, even if he could, he would tell us," said Sam.
"I guess he doesn't tell you much then," said Valerie.
Sam took out her phone, and she called Danny, who picked up his phone. Sam heard a lot of background noise from Danny's end.
"Hello Sam, this isn't a good time to talk," said Danny.
"Ah yeah, this would be quick. Did you beat up Dash?" Sam said
Then she heard another noise from Danny's end, the sound of someone screaming.
"I'll talk about that after work," said Danny.
Then Sam heard someone shouting at Danny, "Hey Danny, take a picture of this asshole!"
"Yeah, I gotta go." Danny got off the phone.
"What did he say?" asked Tucker.
"He didn't tell me, but from the sound of his voice, he might have beat up Dash and hung up because something was happening at his work."
"And what's that?"
"I have no idea."
"Now do you believe me?" said Valerie.
"Sorta," said Sam.
"I think we should ask Jazz what's going on," said Tucker.
"Good idea."
"You two go do that. I've got somewhere else to be," said Valerie as she walked out of Sam's house.
Sam mutters, "Bitch."
"Hey, don't call my future girlfriend a bitch, Sam," said Tucker.
"Of all the people, why her?"
"I don't know. I guess I have a type."
"Sure you do."
Later, Sam and Tucker came to Fenton's house. They rang the doorbell, and the door opened to Mr. Fenton.
"Hello kids, Danny is not here, he's at work," said Jack.
"No, we're here to talk jazz, sir," said Tucker.
"Oh alright, then I'll go get her."
Jack left, and then a minute later, Jazz came to the door.
"Hey guys, what do you want to talk about?" said Jazz.
"It's about Danny. You have noticed that he's been acting all different since he started this job, which he doesn't tell us much about," said Sam.
Yeah, we just heard from Valerie that he beat up Dash. Did you know about that?" said Tucker.
"Um, no, I'll have talked to him about it, don't you worry about it," said Jazz, trying her best to lie to Sam and Tucker.
Sam wasn't buying it. "Jazz, you know something, don't you?"
Jazz came up with a quick excuse in her head: "crap, look at the time. I've got a project to talk to you guys later." Jazz quickly closes the door.
"That wasn't subtle," said Tucker.
"That's it. We're confronting Danny about this tomorrow, and I want the truth," said Sam.
"I have to agree."
"Good," then she thought, "because this has to end."
Meanwhile, at I.M.P. headquarters in the lounge room, Loona noticed Danny was thinking, and she asked him.
"What are you thinking about?"
"Sam called while I was helping Blitz kill a piano teacher. I was thinking if I should tell her and Tucker the truth," said Danny.
"Um, no, because enough people know that you can turn into a demon."
"Well, it's getting harder and harder to lie to them, especially now that they know I beat up Dash."
"Oh please, they should be glad you beat up that jerk off."
"They probably won't be glad that I lied to them about it."
"Yeah, I would be pissed off if that happened to me, but just tell them that you don't want them to get in trouble."
"That could work, I guess."
"And listen, it's probably hard to lie to your friends about what you do, but it's best for them. Because you have no idea how they'll react to crazy and mess up part of your life."
"Thanks, Loona, that was helpful."
"No problem, besides, you got me to talk to you about your job."
"That'll help."
Then Millie and Moxxie came to the room with bags of fast food.
"We got lunch," said Millie.
"Finally, I'm starving," said Loona.
Back in the human world, in an unknown room, was a pale man with a pointy nose, looking at an old, dusty book on a desk. Next to him was a woman wearing a red robe.
"I just need a few more sacrifices in order to get the ultimate power," said the man, then looked at the woman. "Give me the map."
The woman handed him a map. It was the U.S. map with cities crossed out from the east to the midwest. He looked at the town that was next to a city that was crossed out.
"Next up, Amity Park," said the man.
(Author note: Yep, another cliffhanger. I know I'm a dick.)
