The Funny Question

"Well, what about this number, Fox?" said Krystal. The number in question was a tank top with an ocean design on it, and the top showed a generous amount of midriff and accentuated the vixen's ample bosom. Fox blushed, and smiled, letting himself stare a bit. That was Krystal's aim after all, and she was certainly accomplishing it.

"I think that looks amazing on you," he said. It really did, too, the white of the top contrasting well with the dark blue jeans she wore and her own fur.

Krystal's tail wagged. "Thank you, love," she said. "Yes, I think I'll buy this as well."

It was the first time they were shopping together for clothes since becoming an item. Doing anything with Krystal was a joy, and this was no exception. Fox was still floating on the warm and fuzzy high of just knowing that he and Krystal were romantic, something that Krystal never failed to notice and always loved to tease him gently about, or just be lovey-dovey in return.

As for the clothes shopping, it was all the more enjoyable because he to get to see Krystal look good. The vixen was quite fashionable, thanks to exposure to Cornerian trends, and Fay's and her friend's help. It didn't hurt too that she was physically stunning.

"Fox?" she asked.

"Yes?" said Fox.

"Another question," she said, neutrally. She turned around. "Do these jeans make my butt look big?"

Ah, yes, this question. The question that slept in the mind of every boyfriend, steeped in fear. A question that, frankly, Fox wasn't too nervous about as far as Krystal was concerned. Even without Krystal's powers, Fox wasn't going to lie, and instead he took the direct route.

"No, not really," said Fox. "I just like your butt in general, though." He blushed a little.

Krystal looked back at him searchingly. Then, with the ghost of a smile on her cheeks, she cocked her hips to the side—what a view indeed—and asked, "would you like it if they did make my butt look a little bigger?"

Fox blushed brighter. The things this vixen did to him. Fox's smile got demure. "Uh…yeah, a bit?"

"There's the blush I wanted," she said, giggling. "My powers betray me sometimes. I wanted that first question to fluster you a bit more."

"Krystal, that first question is in the boyfriend pantheon of frightful questions for a reason. Even though I don't personally fear it too much, my friends told me enough about it. Heck, I remember Fay would sometimes model jeans and ask that question both to tease me and get me used to having that question asked of me! And Slippy's told me numerous times to just be honest," said Fox.

Krystal raised an eyebrow. "And Falco?"

"Falco's determined that Katt's moods hinge on unknowable forces of the universe, and solar wind," said Fox, deadpan. "He told me he flips a coin in his head every time she asks that, and answers according to the flip, just to tease her."

"She's going to murder him someday," said Krystal, palming her face.

"It's a small miracle that hasn't happened yet," said Fox.

"Alright, your turn," she said. "Try on what you picked out, so the lady can admire you and give her opinion."

Fox took his item into the changing room. "If I still decide to buy it even you don't like it?"

"Veto power does rest in me, you know," said Krystal, the playful notes in her voice making his heart flutter.

"Checks and balances indeed," said Fox, smiling and rolling his eyes.

His item was a polo. Fox loved polos; he had a great build for them, a strong chest and arms. In fashion Fox was laidback but refined; he was never going to be ostentatious, but he didn't like to seem a slob. He put it on, and was happy to see the fit was perfect, and the dark green color of the polo complimented his eyes. Liking what he saw in the mirror, he walked out of the dressing room and showed Krystal.

She looked him over with a glint in her eyes. Oh, yes. She loved it.

"I'm worried about the buttons," said Krystal.

"Huh? Why?" said Fox. The buttons were a simple white color, nondescript.

"They might get torn off whenever I pull that shirt off you, in the future," she said. "It would be such a shame, too, as it's so fetching on you too."

Fox smiled, blushing again. This vixen, really. He wouldn't have it any other way.
