The Daily Lives of The Owl Familia:
Another Cute Morning
Summary; Turns out, Luz isn't the only member of the "Knocked-down" Coven who has special ways to wake their families. And the Porters have a serious morning talk.
Timeline: The Morning after the witch's duel.
It was early in the morning, and most people were still asleep in their beds. This included Gilbert and Harvey Park. They showed no signs of stirring to start the day, even when their door creaked open and the sound of soft giggling entered the room.
Willow, with comically oversized glasses, walked up to her fathers' bed and giggled into her hands. She reached her fathers' bedside and was about to pull the sheet off of it. She suddenly let out cute noise as she found herself lifted into the air, thanks to one of her father's abominations.
"No faiw," Willow pouted cutely.
Harvey just chuckled good-naturally as he took his daughter from his abomination and called it off. He gently cuddled his "knocked-down" daughter as he turned around and into the arms of his husband.
"Like we would forget you liked to wake up by tickling us," Gilbert said lovingly and nuzzled close to his family. Willow still had that cute pout on her face but lost it when her father's beard tickled her face and caused her to laugh.
This brought a smile to Willow's fathers' faces, and the family settled in for a few extra hours of sleep. Harvey frowned as he gingerly removed his daughter's glasses and put them on the nightstand next to him.
"Dear, do you think we still have some of Willow's old glasses around?" Harvey asked his husband with concern.
"I will just cast a re-sizing spell on our bud's Glasses later," Gilbert said with a lazy hand wave. "Now go back to sleep. We have a few hours before we need to head out. Let's enjoy having our little bud back for the now."
Harvey smiled and got settled. He was close to falling asleep when he felt something hit his face. He smiled slightly as he looked over and saw Willow sprawled across the bed. With a small chuckle, Harvey got comfortable and soon was sleeping like a rock.
(A few hours later)
Jane Porter sighed as she finished making breakfast. She wasn't in the best of moods, and it didn't go unnoticed by her husband.
"You can call in and take a few days to yourself," Perry suggested hopefully.
The head of the Supernation Museum of History sighed again and took her seat. "I would like nothing more, dear. But with Lilith taking some time to herself and with those slackers finally fired, we don't have the witch power needed to finish the major event coming up."
Perry nodded as he began to cut into some eggs. The slackers his wife was talking about were two demons with animal-like figures. Those two did nothing most of the time and when they finally worked, it was always half-finished.
Honestly, it often perplexed the reporter why those two demons were kept on for nearly eight years.
"And if this even wasn't so important, I wouldn't think twice about skipping a few days of work," Jane said dramatically. "I mean, what mother wouldn't jump on the chance to have a couple of days with their kid at such a cute age? Speaking of kids…"
Jane made a spell circle and Gus poofed into view a second later. The currently three-and-half-year let out a cute 'meep' as he was literally caught with a hand in the cookie jar.
With a mirthful grin, the Porter woman stood up and walked over to her son. She placed her hand on her hip and playfully glared at the "knocked-down" witch.
"Youg man, you know that you don't sneak snacks, no matter the age," Jane told her son with a mix of playfulness and sternness to let Gus know her standing on the matter.
Gus just gave his mother a mischievous smile and Jane knew what that smile meant. She nearly gushed at the cute scene before but kept herself in control. Instead, she scooped up her son and returned to the table. She placed Gus in his usual spot and gave him a quick kiss on the forehead behind she returned to her seat.
The three ate in somewhat uneasy silence, and it didn't go unnoticed by a certain "knocked-down" witch.
"Mommy, otay?" Gus asked cutely.
Jane laughed; her son was always good at reading her.
"I'm fine, my little stink bug," Jane replied affectingly.
She reached out and ruffled her son's hair, knowing but not caring about how Gus hated that old nickname.
"I'm just sad that I can't spend the day with you and daddy," Jane said warmingly.
"Later?" Gus suddenly asked hopefully.
Jane get the idea her son was suggesting and that got her thinking; the project was actually close to being completed. The only reason why she was stressed was that the higher-ups at the Bonesborough's head office were pressing her.
She didn't know the full reason behind it, but apparently, someone from the castle was coming to inspect the event.
Still, if she managed things right, they should be able to complete the project, and that will allow her to take some time off. This idea brought a smile to her face.
"You always know how to cheer me up, my little stink bug," Jane said warmly and leaned over to hug her son.
Despite hating that nickname, Gus had a smile on his face as he returned the hug. Perry watched all of this with a smile.
"Well, how about we finished breakfast and get ready for the day," the reporter suggested kindly.
Jane and Gus looked at Perry and both simply nodded. Together, the Porter family went back to breakfast.

I wonder if anyone thought I would turn a timeless reference into an actual character.
