« Jeez, Makoto, for the Ultimate Lucky Student you sure are unlucky ! First Rantaro is executed, and now Mikan got herself killed ! No more siblings for ya ! » He mocked me as I was sobbing.
« Hey ! Leave him alone ! » Kazuichi came to my rescue.
« I mean, am I wrong ? He's all alone now. Well, except all of you- Oh wait, where is Himiko ? » Monokuma replied.
And soon enough, the Ultimate Mage arrived. She instantly froze when she saw the bodies.
« I-it… It happened again… » Himiko broke down in tears, dropping to her knees.
« Hey ! What did I tell you, Himiko ? You have to stay strong to survive, sis ! » Kokichi had a disapproving look.
« B-but… » She just stopped and sighed.
« Welp, here's the Monokuma File for both victims ! Since there are two of them, I will give you more time to investigate than usual ! » Monokuma handed the file.
« Wait, two ? But there's three of them ! » Kazuichi exclaimed.
« Have you forgotten ? The rules say you can't have more than two victims. » Kyoko told him.

We all turned our attention to the robot who was sitting against the shelf.
« Keebo is still alive… ? » I repeated, as I was wiping off my tears.
« It seems like it. I don't see any blood… Well, oil blood ? » Mahiru said.
« Let me take a look. » Kazuichi approached the unconscious robot.
« Oh, oh ! Let me try ! » Kokichi approached them.
« No ! Let the professional handle it ! » Kazuichi said.
« Oh ? What does this button do ? » He looked behind Keebo's neck.

Too late, Kokichi pressed the button.
Then suddenly…
Keebo gasped and opened his eyes !
« Wha- ?! What's going on ?! Why are you two so close to me ? » Keebo panicked as he got up.
« Thank goodness you're ok… » Mahiru sighed in relief.
Then he looked around…
« M-miu… ? » He looked at her corpse.
« Oh yeah, she's dead ! » Kokichi told him.
« Kokichi ! You can't say it like that ! » Taka scolded him.
« N-no… I-it can't be ! » He kneeled and held her.
« Keebo… » Himiko cried.
« Why… ? » Keebo cried too.
« Huh ? No oily tears ? » Kokichi tilted his head in confusion.
« Kokichi ! » Taka snapped.
« N-no… He's right… I want to cry, but Miu didn't add me this ability ! » He made crying sounds, jut nothing came out of his eyes.
« Everyone, I know this is hard, but we need to investigate, we are running out of time. » Kyoko pointed out.
« How are we going to do that ? Mikan can't give us her autopsy report now ! » Kazuichi panicked.
« Well, first of all, we need to guard the bodies. » Kyoko replied.
« She's right ! But does that mean I will have to guard the bodies alone ? » Taka asked.

First I would better check the Monokuma File…
The victims were Mikan Tsumiki and Miu Iruma. The cause of death for each was a blow to the head. It is thought that they were both killed with a similar weapon.

I stared at it, and noticed of tire mark going through the pool of blood in the middle of room. Could that blood have come from here… ?

We did so, as Rantaro, Mikan and Miu's crossed portraits were here. Rantaro's was a machete and a torch forming a cross Mikan's was two band-aids forming a cross, and Miu's was three Xs… for obvious reasons.

« Maybe because they didn't have the time. Remember, the killer told them to come to the Art Room at 6:30 am, then kill them. If they sticked around to clean the crime scene, they wouldn't have been at the Dining Hall, and made themselves suspicious, or worse for them, getting caught in the act. » Kyoko theorized.
« That's true, by going back to the Dining Hall, they would give themselves an alibi, but ironically, they would leave a lot of evidence for us to uncover. Nishishi, they were doomed anyway.~ » Kokichi chuckled.
« Now, we can return on the matter on how Keebo ended at the crime scene. We know Miu could have entered his room thanks to the double key she created. You know what happened, don't you, Keebo ? » Kyoko frowned at the robot.

But it was Miu's fault… If she didn't plan to murder… Taka wouldn't have killed them…
Yet I can't hate Miu too… It's all Monokuma and the mastermind's fault…
« Makoto, I know this is hard for you, but we should give everyone a review of this case now we know everything. Do you think you can do it ? » Kyoko asked.
I was surprised a bit, as she asked me if I could do it despite the emotional pain… She even had a worried look in her face.
« Alright, I will do it. Here's everything that happened in this case. » I said.
CLOSING ARGUMENT
Act 1 :
It all began a few days ago, when Monokuma gave us the new motive… Money. He would give us millions if we killed someone. None of us wanted it, but one person was considering killing someone to get out… Miu. She wanted to get out since the very beginning, and now she couldn't resist anymore, as the world needed her inventions. So she began a plan to commit a murder and survive the class trial.
Act 2 :
First, she wrote a note with our culprit, who was supposed to be her victim, to meet with her at the Art Room's Repository Room around 6:30 am, most likely to frame one of us for killing them by breaking the nighttime rule. One of the persons she likely planned to frame was none other than Keebo, who joined her by her request, when she deactivated him by pressing the emergency button in the back of his neck.
Act 3 :
Around 3 am, the culprit was awaken by Mahiru, as both of them established nightshifts in hope to prevent another murder. The culprit then locked their room, and began their nightshift until 6:30 am, where they went to the Art Room's Repository Room, not knowing they were going to their doom.
Act 4 :
With Keebo unconscious, Miu waited for the culprit to show up. They did show up, and Miu cornered them after the culprit tried to talk her out of it. It failed, and Miu attacked the blackened with one of the Art Room's hammers. They struggled, with the culprit's wristwatch falling off of their wrist. Eventually, the killer came out on top, as they grabbed the hammer… And killed Miu in self-defence. It was at this moment, for reasons we will likely never know, that Mikan entered the Art Room's Repository Room, discovering the murder scene. As she ran away, fearing of being executed, the culprit reluctantly killed Mikan to silence her…
Act 5 :
Realizing they didn't have much time left before the morning announcement, the culprit began a plan to clear themselves of the crime they just committed. They began to move the bodies to the Physics Lab's Storage Room by using the Art Room's dolly, including Keebo in order to frame him for the murder. And just in case, they dropped the note Miu made inside Mikan's apron, to make us believe she was the intended victim. Unfortunately for the blackened, they didn't have the time left to clean the blood and get rid of yhe hammer, so they ran back to their dorm, changed their clothes, and arrived first at the Dining Hall to not look suspicious. They did their best to fool us, but in the end, with the evidence they couldn't get rid of because of the lack of time, we found who is responsible for this double murder…
Makoto is seen on the right, a determined yet sad look on his face. On the left was the blackened, who was in shock with tears in his eyes.
« It was you, Kiyotaka Ishimaru, the Ultimate Moral Compass ! » I exclaimed.
The blackened was revealed to be indeed Taka, his shock even greater.
BREAK !
« And that's about it… » I sighed.
No one said a word, too depressed to say anything.
« Alllriiight then ! Time to vote ! Who will you choose as the blackened ? Will you make the right choice, or the dreadfully wrong one ? Let's get started ! » Monokuma cheered.
We began voting, as I pressed Taka's picture and pulled down the lever.
Once again, the slot machine came up, the screen ending on the three rows of Taka's picture, as the word Guilty, the flowers and coins appeared.
« Good job on getting it right yet again ! And once again, the vote was unanimous ! The blackened is indeed Kiyotaka Ishimaru ! » Monokuma cheered.
« Please make it stop… make it stop… » Himiko cried.
« E-everyone… I am sorry… I didn't want them to die… I'm ashamed of myself… I couldn't man up and confess… » Taka said somberly.
« I trust you… and I forgive you. » I said.
Everyone turned to me in surprise.
« Huh ? But Makoto, he killed Mikan ! Didn't you see her as some kind of sister ? » Kokichi asked in confusion.
« I won't forget what Taka did… But like he said, he was defending himself, and if it wasn't for Miu, then Mikan wouldn't be dead. » I replied.
« Oh, so you hate Miu then ? » Kazuichi asked me.
« No, because she planned this whole thing… only because of you ! » I pointed at Monokuma.
« Urgh, here we go again with the 'pointing fingers at me'. » Monokuma sighed.
« If this motive never came… Then both Miu and Mikan would be alive. » I clenched my teeth.
« Well, it came ! And now, the moment we have all been waiting for ! The punishment ! » Monokuma declared.
« Everyone, I am sorry… I failed you all… » Taka said somberly.
« So did Rantaro with Toko, yet he was executed, and so will you ! I have prepared a very special punishment for you, the Ultimate Moral Compass ! » Monokuma grinned evilly.
« Mahiru, I leave it up to you. Don't let another murder take place ! » Taka said out loud.
« Let's give it everything we've got ! It's… PUNISHMENT TIME ! » Monokuma shouted.
« Don't lose to him ! You can do it, my friends ! » Taka shouted.
Monokuma pulled out his hammer, and hit the red button with it again.
Kiyotaka's white sprite appeared on the red screen as he was taken away by Monokuma to the right of the screen.
GAME OVER
Kiyotaka has been found guilty.
Time for the punishment !
Taka didn't fight back the metal collar wrapping around his neck, and forced him out of the courtroom as he was taken to his execution room.
Our podiums moved to that location, once again surrounded by a wire fence. It appeared we were in the streets of a city, with Monokumas wearing different clothes of both genders, on both sides of the road, as if they were assisting some kind of event.

Kiyotaka Ishimaru's Execution : Executed
Taka was attached to a pole on top of a truck, surrounded by Monokuma dressed like police officers on motorcycles. Taka felt his hand being forced to raise and wave at the crowd.
He tried to move and find a way out, but he realized there were none. So he watched carefully the crowd of Monokumas cheering for him a bit anxiously. He saw he was being inaugurated as the new Prime Minister of Japan, like his grandfather before him.
In reality, the truck didn't move at all, it was stationary, and there was a reason why. On a rooftop was a Monokuma dressed in a black military gear, with a sniper rifle. The Monokuma looked through the scope, and shot Taka in his stomach !
Taka let out a scream of pain, as blood came out of the bullet hole, tainting his white vest in red. The Monokumas around him screamed in panic and ran away.
He felt more bullets puncture his body, as more and more Monokuma snipers shot at him. The worst thing was that they made sure to not aim any vital parts of his body to make him suffer even more.
But… He thought he deserved it… He's respondible for a double murder… He just hoped the others wouldn't repeat his mistakes…
He felt his head lower down, and his hand stopped waving, as he passed away.
A newspaper fell on the ground, titled 'Prime Minister Kiyotaka Ishimaru assassinated !'.
Taka's execution was over… I looked at the others…
And realized they and I weren't as shocked as we were with the other two executions…
It's like…
We were getting used to it…
« Isn't it just awful ? Someone couldn't cut free of their regrets from the outside world, and so more people had to die… You guys are still young ! You need to place more value on your lives ! » Monokuma sighed.
« Don't talk like you're not responsible ! How long are you gonna make us keep going through this ? What do you want from us ?! » I snapped.
« God, I'm so sick of people asking me that ! Give it a rest already ! » Monokuma growled.
« I have a question. » Kyoko said out of the sudden.
« What now ? » Monokuma asked impatiently.
« What did you do ? What did you… do to me ? » She asked.
« Eh ? » Monokuma tilted his head in confusion.
« Answer me. What did you do to my body ? » She frowned at him.
« O-oh ! W-what do you mean, what did I do… ? I don't know what you are talking about ! » Monokuma looked uncomfortable.
He's definitely hiding something…
« Annyyywwayyy, it's getting a little awkward. I think it's about time I got out of here… Puhuhu, see ya ! » Monokuma left.
We were alone, seeing Taka's corpse on top of the truck, leaving uw all depressed and in despair…
But there was one small hope…
The hope of getting out of here alive…
« We should just get out of here… » Keebo said somberly.
« Yeah… » Mahiru said depressed.
As we went upstairs and outside of the elevator entrance, in front of the red door. Suddenly, Kyoko grabbed my arm and let the others advance.
« K-kyoko… ? » I asked.
« Makoto, can I trust you about something ? » She asked.
« H-huh ? O-oh, I mean, of course Kyoko ! What is it ? » I nodded.
« Have you always wondered why I have been disappearing, and where I have been going ? » She asked.
« Actually… Yeah, I do wonder about that. » I nodded.
« Listen, I'll tell you why and where I have been going, and in exchange, I want you to believe me, and not tell the others of what I am about to tell you. Can I trust you on that ? » She asked.
I thought about it, then nodded.
« Of course, Kyoko ! We are friends ! I trust and believe you ! » I smiled.
« Alright then, listen up, because this is important… » She smiled back.
Then she told me everything… I was shocked… So I had to confirm if she told me, so I left my room at nighttime, and went to the boys bathroom on the second floor.
When I arrived, I opened the storage closet, and placed my hand on the wall…
When I fell through the wall, leading me to a hidden room ! Kyoko was right about this !
So I decided to check the room, there was a bookshelf full of files, a desk and stool.
I checked through the files, and noticed one that brought my attention…
'Hope's Peak Academy Student Registry ?' I thought.
I was about to open it, when a piece of paper fell on the ground. I picked it up and read it…
You must not leave.
As I read it, I felt a headache, as if those words were familiar to me…
I felt something hit the back of my head, causing me to fall on the ground, and pass out.
When I woke up, everything was gone !
I cursed myself for letting my guard down, as I decided to return to my room, when I heard someone… shouting… ?
It was coming from the gym, so I went there…
« I-I can't take it anymore ! I don't want to do this anymore ! » A female voice shouted, crying.
Was that…
Himiko ?
« Why you ! How dare you defy me ?! You can't back down now ! » Monokuma glared at her.
« I'm tired of seeing my friends die ! We are through ! I'm… going to resist you ! » She returned the glare, clearing her tears out of her eyes.
« If you want… But… you do realize what will happen if you go through with this, right ? You haven't forgotten, have you ? What I'm holding hostage… ? » Monokuma smirked evilly.
Himiko froze in fear.
What is going on… ?
