The pursuit continues as Sonic continues to dodge laser blasts from Robotnik, even sliding under a large trailer to avoid them.
"How is this possible?! No one's ever caught up to me before!"
Pulling out a ring from his pouch, Izuku tosses it, thinking of anywhere away from here.
As Sonic dives through the ring, Eggman chasing at an even pace behind, a strange sight greets them. A mime is entertaining a little girl and her mother. When the mime makes a circular movement with his hands, a Ring portal opens up behind them, and Sonic zips through.
"Coming through!" He shout running faster than ever before.
"Sacrebleu!" The mime says angered as Eggman in his Eggpod charge through the golden ring.
"Excusez-moi, monsieur!"
Sonic throws another ring, this one leading to the Great Wall of China.
"Here we go! Room to open it up!" Sonic launches at Mach speed across the wall, tearing parts of it up as a sonic boom erupts in his wake. Eggman does the same, causing more damage and scaring nearby creatures. The two increase their speed even more until Sonic tosses another ring, opening a new portal.
"I can't lose him!" Sonic says in panic, jumping through the new ring.
Launching out the new ring, Sonic races through the streets of a crowed city, dodging and weaving around cars and people on the busy streets. Racing past a rather large ice cream stand, Izuku grabs a chocolate and vanilla ice cream out of the hand of a pink skinned girl, winking as he raced off once more, Robotnik chasing close behind.
The girl's amber and black eyes blinks, noticing a 5-dollar American bill in her hand. "Wait until Hagakure hears about this!" She says aloud, rushing off down the street.
Exiting another ring, Sonic picks up the pace racing across a desert. Robotnik fires multiple laser blasts from the Eggpod, destroying century-old monuments in its wake. Sonic skids to a stop in the sand, coming up with an idea.
"If you can't beat 'em, blind 'em!"
Sonic catches up to Robotnik and uses his speed to create a tornado of sand, which disrupts Robotnik's visual sight.
"Lost… visual contact!" Suddenly Robotnik sees Sonic speed up the Great Pyramid of Giza! "You're not allowed up there! It's one of the Seven Wonders!"
Robotnik blasts out of the whirlwind, just as Izuku opens another ring gate, Robotnik fires a laser blast at him, sending him flying through the portal and hurtling him onto the streets just outside of the coffee shop in Green Hills, where he lays motionless and unconscious.
Robotnik menacingly appears through the portal as it closes. Jiro, Tom, Maddie and a bunch of civilian's rush to see what the commotion is all about. When Robotnik cackles loudly and takes off his flight goggles.
"You're an astonishing little creature! It'll be fun to take you back to the lab for a litany of invasive exploratory procedures. Any last words?"
With his remaining strength, Izuku whispers. "Guac… I like that word…" Sonic slumps over on the ground, motionless.
Kyoka, looking on in complete fear, notices Izuku's bag lying at her feet, and gets an idea. Turning around she throws a ring and jumps through. Jiro appears behind Robotnik via a Ring portal.
"I don't have to tell you how many scientific breakthroughs have been made possible by animal testing. You're being very selfish." Robotnik says chuckling to himself.
Suddenly Robotnik hears, "Going my way?" and turns around just intime to see a fist hit his face, hard! Jiro hits Robotnik, using her quirk to amplify the punch, knocking his flight glasses off his head, and the two-start fighting inside the Eggpod. Robotnik grabs Kyoka by her shirt.
"Who the hell do you think you are?!" Robotnik demands. Jiro breaks free and punches Robotnik again and grabs him. "I'm Pulse, your worst nightmare, asshole!" Jiro shouts, launching a sonic blast straight into the pod's engine, destroying it. Kyoka, distracted by her victory, does not notice Robotnik rearing back.
Kyoka gets elbowed by Robotnik and thrown off the Eggpod when Robotnik jerks the steering yoke. Jiro hits the ground hard, a loud crack echoing across the area.
"Ahhh!" Jiro screams, clutching her now broken left arm.
"Autopilot, adjust!" Robotnik announces, levelling out the craft.
Robotnik puts his flight goggles back on his head as many people try to run over to Kyoka, only to stopped at the sight of Eggman aiming his Eggpod's cannon at her.
"Why? Why would you throw your life away for this...thing? That's why I don't have friends. Next thing you know, you're somebody's best man, they want to have the wedding out of town... Like nobody has anything better to do!" Eggman sighs. "Anyway, where were we? Oh, yes-you were about to die!"
Suddenly, a bullet bounces of the side of the Eggpod, Robotnik looks over to see the members of the public guarding Jiro with their lives.
"That's our purple demon you're messing with." Wade shouts holding his ground with the rest. Kyoka smiles at the effort of the town.
"And our Blue Devil!" Crazy Carl shouts, holding a chainsaw! "Who, as everyone can see, is a very real creature and not at all invented by me!" Wade grabs the chainsaw off him, throwing it to the ground.
Looking over to an unconscious Sonic, Kyoka and everybody present, but Robotnik, sees him un-moving, causing everyone to feel grief.
"I don't mean to be indelicate here, but someone should get some ice, keep the body fresh." Robotnik comments, not a care in the world.
Jiro lowers her head, tears on full display.
"He's just a silly little alien. He didn't belong here!" Robotnik shouts, making Kyoka's head snap up in anger.
"That little alien... knew more about being human... than you ever will. His name was Izuku. This was his home... and he was my friend!" She says with such power, that even Robotnik flinched.
Suddenly, Izuku's eyes snap open. Upon hearing Jiro's speech, Sonic slowly stands up, his once emerald, green eyes, now sharp electric blue. Massive bolts of lightning radiate off him as he builds up his energy levels, becoming supercharged! Dr. Robotnik stares on bewildered, while Kyoka smiles wider than ever before.
"He's all yours!" everyone begins backing away from the fight, Jiro following in their footsteps.
"Everyone get back!" She shouts as the final battle between Dr Ivo Robotnik and Sonic commences.
"I think you have something that belongs to me!" Sonic shouts, anger, and determination in his voice.
Clenching a fist, Izuku starts to siphon the energy from his quill in Robotnik's Eggpod until it is no longer glowing. The energy, now transferred back to Sonic.
"This is my power, and I'm not using it to run away anymore. I'm using it to protect… my… friends!"
Dr. Robotnik puts on his flight goggles and readies the Eggpod's concealed weapons, the laser markers pointing at Sonic, who sets a start position on the road.
Robotnik smirks and fires the weapons. Sonic leaps into action, dodging the projectiles and starts to bombard the vehicle with lightning-fast kicks and punches, each barrage increasing in speed until the only thing visible is a glowing ball of blue light. With the Eggpod now disabled, Robotnik becomes infuriated.
"Now you've really done it!"
"Guess what, Eggman? I'm not leaving Earth. YOU are! Pulse?" Izuku shouts commandingly as Kyoka, with all the strength in her right arm, rears back and tosses the ring, forming a golden portal behind Robotnik.
Both Robotnik and Sonic charge at each other, but with Sonic landing a powerful blow to the Eggpod, shattering it into pieces, sending it and a screaming Dr. Robotnik through the portal and it closes, sealing Eggman away. The electricity emanating from Izuku fades away with the crowd cheering for Sonic's victory as Jiro reunites with him.
"I told you, you got this." Says Kyoka, a knowing smirk on her face.
"Hey, WE got this. I could not have done this without you!" Izuku says back, running up to her, embracing her in a hug. Kyoka blushes heavily, not noticing Maddie smirking knowingly in the background.
"Ow!" Jiro says, her arm still hurting from the fight.
Izuku, noticing this, pulls out a bandage from his bag, which Kyoka is still holding, and wraps it next to her arm. All of a sudden, the pain stops, and Jiro looks on in shock as her arm becomes completely healed.
"What? How? Huh?" Jiro stutters, looking at Izuku and the spare bandage in shock.
"What, you think this is the first time I have seriously hurt myself; Longclaw gave me these because I hurt myself so often." Izuku says, crap eating grin plastered on his face.
Jiro punches him in the side. "Idiot!" She shout, before laughing along with Izuku. She then punches him again. "No more pushing people off buildings!"
Izuku just shrugs. "You know I can't promise that."
"You did pretty good, space 'hog." Jiro says, laughing at the stupid nickname.
"Thanks, purple Angel!" Jiro goes red and Izuku laughs again.
"You're going to have to explain this who name thing…" Maddie says with a questioning look.
"Nope, sorry. That's between me and my bestie here." Kyoka says, putting her right arm around Izuku's waist.
"Oh, so now I've been upgraded to bestie?" Izuku deadpans, making Kyoka, Tom and Maddie laugh.
"All right, everybody. Nothing to see here." Wade says, clapping his hands together. "Let's disperse! Just another ordinary day in Green Hills. Carl, I'll take that chainsaw." Everyone except Jiro, Izuku and her Aunt and Uncle start to disperse.
"Come on, let's go! You act like you've never seen a fight between an intergalactic space rodent and a robot with a doctorate before!" Wade continue to shout.
The next day, everyone in Green Hills has gone back to their normal, everyday lives… well, almost everyone.
"You got enough there?" Tom questions, holding up a white paint can to Maddie.
"Yes, Mr. Manager…" Maddie answers with a giggle.
Tom picks up a paint roller, waving it in the face of Kyoka, who squeals, jumping back playfully. "Need any more?"
"You get that thing away from me!" She states with a laugh, putting her arms up in front of her face.
They continue to paint the walls of their now repaired house, having as much fun as the possibly can. Suddenly, they hear a knock at the door. Tom, curiously goes to answer it, revealing two people at the door.
The first man was dressed in very formal military wear. Judging by his badges, he appeared to be a commander. He had light grey hair and with a set of blue and green miss matched eyes.
The second figure was a lot more interesting. It looked like a dog… or a mouse… or maybe a bear. Tom wasn't really to sure… however, he was sure he had seen him somewhere before.
"Mr. and Mis. Wachowski?" The commander asked calmly, looking back and forth between the two.
"Yes?"
The commander reached into his coat pocket, handing Tom an envelope. "As a token of appreciation from your government for keeping quiet about the recent incident which never occurred."
"Wow!" Tom states, taking the envelope off the commander. "Wonder what it is?"
"Money to fix the house?" Maddie guessed.
"Letter from the president?" Tom suggested with a chuckle.
"You'll see…" Commander Walters said ominously.
"Okay…" Tom said, raising an eyebrow, ripping open the envelope.
Inside is a $50 gift card to Olive Garden, with a note that says "From Uncle Sam."
"Olive Garden?" Maddie questions with raised brows… not really what she was expecting.
"Yeah… to be honest, the way you said 'You'll see' made me think it was something better than the things these two said…" Kyoka states, butting into the convention. "Although, the never-ending pasta bowl does sound good…"
She then notices the small creature standing in the doorway. Her eyes go wide with surprise.
"Y-you're Principal Nezu of U.A. High School in Japan!" Kyoka all but shouts, jumping up and down in excitement. "What are you doing here!? N-not that it's a bad thing you're here or anything… I-It's just, why are you here?"
"Miss Jiro, we will get to that in a minute. For now, lets leave your Aunt and Uncle to finish off their convention, shall we… that's if, you don't mind me coming inside?" Kyoka waves Nezu to come on through, leading him to the living room.
"You haven't by any chance been in contact with a certain blue-haired alien creature since the incident, have you? Uncle Sam would love to have a chat with him… very casual, of course. Brunch, perhaps?" Walters questions, trying to peer into the house.
"Oh, you mean the blue haired kid? Nah, haven't seen him." Tom says, blocking the commanders view.
"Doubt we'll ever hear from him again…" Maddie finishes, doing the same.
"Very well." Commander Walters replies, walking off back down the drive.
Tom shuts the door, turning around in the hallway… only to jump, finding Izuku standing right behind him.
"So, the old guy is gone, right?" He asks, questioning look in his eyes.
"He's gone… but, there is someone else here…" Maddie states, walking into the living room. Sonic and Tom follow close behind, finding Nezu sitting on the sofa, mug of tea in his hands.
"Ah, there's the boy I just wanted to see…" Nezu states, holding out a hand to Izuku. "Principal Nezu of U.A. High School. A pleasure to meet such an interesting individual such as yourself, Mr.?"
"Izuku… although my friends call me Sonic." Izuku says, taking the small creature's hand in a firm shake.
"Well, Sonic… I have come here for a very important reason." Nezu begins, climbing down from the chair, pacing the living room. "You're actions in taking down Doctor Ivo Robotnik, while unrecorded to the public for safety reasons, will forever go down in history as one of the greatest villain takedowns of all time… which is impressive for a boy of your age, alien or not."
Izuku goes to speak, only to be shushed by Nezu. "Yes, while impressive, it was also dangerous. In our world, we have strict rules against people using their quirks without a licence. And, while technically you don't have a quirk, the public and governments of the world wouldn't view it that way." Nezu stops pacing, turning to the boy and Kyoka, who just entered back into the room. "That's where me and my school come in… you see Izuku, U.A. High is one of the few schools on the planet that run a Pro Hero course, the only current way to achieve a hero licence. I would like to invite you and your friend here to attend. Clear records with full access passes to use your quirks outside of U.A. grounds… if, that's what you want?"
Kyoka and Izuku freeze, glancing at each other. While Izuku didn't know why this was so important, Kyoka did. Having a pro hero licence basically meant you could use your quirk in public to not only help in everyday life, but to save people as well. This was a once in a lifetime chance… and she was sure as hell not about to give it up.
"Yes!" Kyoka stated almost immediately, earning a few chuckles from around the room. "I-I mean, if Izuku wants to, of course."
Izuku looked to his best friend, seeing the hope and pleading look in her eyes. He glanced to Tom and Maddie, seeing their smiling faces staring back at him. Finally, he looked to the small creature before him, letting out a sigh.
"All right Mr Nezu, ya got yourself a deal." Izuku states, giving the dog, mouse, bear creature a thumbs up.
And that's it for the first Movie! I thought about writing this tomorrow, however, I kinda just got carried away with planning, writing this entire chapter in the last 2 hours… impressive, I must admit.
A little bit to explain… U.A. will not kick into full swing until after the second film. We will still get to meet some of the characters, mainly from Jiro's interactions with them, but the next few chapters will be focusing on the growing relationship between Izuku and Kyoka, the friendship between Tails and Izuku and of course, what I have dubbed… sexy Knuckles. Blame Idris Elba and his voice, not me. Oh, and the legend that is Jim Carrey Robotnik.
Anyway, I finally have review and view back! So expect thing to be going back to usual now. I will still be releasing chapter daily, if not every few days. So, stay tuned for the next chapter and I will see you all in the next one…
