Worms with the Blue Mood for Control
The scene shows Flash's locker looking normal for a second before it glows red again and the blue hair owner himself pops right out, landing on his back hard and groaning a little in pain.
"Ouch. I think I need to have a talk with Jessica about making this transportation less painful in the near future." Flash said making a note to himself as he gets up.
"Okay, now just need to get my car and on my way to the office." Flash walked through the hallway.
Once he got outside, he made his way to the parking lot where his car is and was about to open the car door to the driver seat until he notices something at the back of his car.
Flash decided to check it out for a bit and lower himself on one knee to see that there is some dirt at the back of the tire.
"Odd, I don't think I ran into any mud puddle along the way here." Flash said, for some reason think this is strange.
"It's probably nothing, maybe tried kicking the dirt on my car." Flash shrugged and felt a bump when someone walked by him.
"Hey dude, I think you should-Sandalwood?" Flash shocked of see one of his best friends.
"Oh, hey there, Flash. Enjoying the day of nature?" Sandalwood asked and Flash notice something on him.
"Uh, you're wearing the same sunglasses Wallflower I saw her wore." Flash said.
"Yes, she said these are the coolest things to wear now. Dude." Sandalwood said.
"Did she now? Maybe Rarity will start wearing them soon." Flash said and noticed a box in Sandalwood's arms.
"What you got in the box?" Flash asked, pointing at the box.
"These are for the gardening club; they need to be taken there soon." Sandalwood answered.
"Weird, you never mention about joining the gardening club. Oh, I bet you're trying to make a big score with Wallflower, me and Micro Chip have always thought you had a crush on the girl." Flash grinned, tapping his elbow on his friend.
"Perhaps, but the more precious thing I care about right now is helping the dirt we stand on become firm and natural." Sandalwood said which sounds weird to Flash.
"Okay, have with the huh… dirt, I guess." Flash said.
"Farwell, Flash Sentry, and I believe the time for you to embrace the dirt will come too." Sandalwood said as he turns around to leave.
At that moment, Flash notice something Sandalwood's eyes that wasn't normal as they were glowing a little blue, not mention the way Sandalwood have been talking to him was not his usual self. It almost felt like he was talking to a different person right there.
"Okay, now that is something to look into." Flash said to himself.
Flash wanted to go after Sandalwood to see if there is anything wrong with him though he also thought that should wait for a little while, he decided to go met with the Rainbooms and his wives at one of the flower shops they're at by now as he got in his car and drove out of the parking lot.
(With Jessica and the Rainbooms)
"Okay, let check this place out next." Jessica said as she and the teen magical girls are standing in front of the second flower shop in the city.
"It's really weird that all the flower shops were close for the last few days." Fluttershy said.
"Yeah, you would think the shop owners would have left a note saying why or how long." Pinkie stated as that would some people do.
"Yet the last flower shop didn't have that, just the close sign and nothing else." Twilight said finding that suspicious.
"Not to mention the place was all covered in dirt, I mean normally dirt for the fertilizer and all, but there was literally dirt everywhere on the floor and all." Rarity pointed out.
"Let's not forget the flower spilled all over the place too." Applejack added.
"Well, if this shop is anything like the first one, we checked then maybe we can find a pattern in this case." Jessica believed as she reaches her hand for the door, finding it to be open.
"And just like the last one, it's unlocked." Jessica gestured the girls to follow her.
"You would think someone should remember the lock the place up when closing down." Rainbow Dash said as they started looking around.
The inside of the flower shop is just like how the other one is, everything is all dirty with the floor and counter being covered in dirt and some flowers are out of their plastic pots and the fertilizer bags were ripped open too.
"Wow, it looks like was another a dirty party here too." Pinkie commented.
"Pinkie, please don't say it like that while we're on an investigation." Sunset said.
Jessica scans the area with her eyes trying to see if she can find anything that could be a clue of some kind since they couldn't find any at the last flower shop, she walks around not minding stepping on the dirt and notice something on the floor under some dirt. She picks it up to see that it's a nametag meaning this must have belonged to an employee, she put the nametag in the pocket of her dress before continuing searching the place.
"Hmm, come out, come out, whatever you are, little clues." Pinkie hummed and dug her face into the dirt.
"Do you think there was a fight here or something?" Fluttershy wondered.
"If it was a fight then this place would be messier than pig mudding up a living room." Applejack pointed out.
"I have to agree with Applejack here, it's more like whoever worked here in that other flower shop wanted to mess up the place on purpose." Rainbow Dash stated.
"Yeah, it definitely gets off that kind of feeling, but the question is why." Sunset said looking at an empty fertilizer bag.
"Hey, look what I found!" Pinkie called out as she is standing next to a trashcan.
"Found a clue?" Applejack asked.
"Not sure if it counts as a clue, but I think this should count as suspicious." Pinkie pointed at what inside the trashcan is.
Inside the trashcan is fill with stuff like anti-pest spray bottles with red painted cross on them.
"Huh, why anyone throw this away?" Applejack asked as she picked up one bottle.
"Maybe someone realized that those bottles aren't meant for cleaning windows and mirrors but are very effective as pepper spray." Pinkie guessed silly.
"Pretty sure if more like someone doesn't want this stuff around." Applejack decided to take one just in case.
Fluttershy is looking at the dirt trying to see if she could find something and then she saw some of the dirt moving which spook her at first, but then she realizes that dirt couldn't move like that unless something is moving within the dirt. She scoops up the dirt with both hands and felt wiggling and crawling on her hand as she started to recognize this feeling she felt before.
"Oh, it just a worm." Fluttershy sighed in relief.
"Find anything, Fluttershy?" Twilight asked.
"No, but I did find a worm here." Fluttershy informed.
"A worm! Eew! Put it away, Fluttershy dear! You don't know where those disguising little things have been!" Rarity complained.
"There's nothing to worry, Rarity. I've actually handled worms before and got a few of them to be adopted from the animal shelter too." Fluttershy mentioned as she stands up.
"I didn't think anyone would be interested in worms." Sunset surprised.
"Oh, they are quite helpful in the ecosystem and few find that they are easier to take care of them other animals." Fluttershy explained.
"Well, unless that worm can give us a clue about what happened here, then we got nothing." Jessica said.
"I think I might have something." Flash walked in.
"Hey Flash, how was your day?" Pinkie hopped next to him.
"Great, and you should know consider you were with me most of the day." Flash answered.
"I know." Pinkie smiled and kissed him on the cheek.
"Anyway, I should you guys something weird has happened while I was getting my car." Flash informed everyone.
"What happened?" Jessica asked.
"Well, I bumped into Sandalwood, more like he bumped into me, we were talking for a bit though his behavior was a little off not like his usual self. I even found out he joined the gardening club." Flash explained.
"Gardening club, I didn't think he was into that." Applejack surprised.
"Probably because he wants to impress Wallflower Blush." Fluttershy guessed.
"There was also wearing a pair of blue sunglasses, saying that Wallflower told him to wear it because it's the latest thing." Flash mentioned.
"Blue sunglasses in this season? Please darling, yellow sunglasses are the ways to go." Rarity bragged of her fashion sense.
"Was there anything else about your friend you found him odd?" Jessica asked.
"Well, hear comes the strange because when Sandalwood was leaving to meet up with Wallflower, I saw his eyes glowing blue." Flash revealed shocking the girls.
"His eyes were blue and glowing, are you sure?" Twilight asked.
"Yeah, it was only a glance, but I always remember that blue is not his natural eye color." Flash nodded.
"Hmm, so far we found two of the closed flower shops are all trashed of dirt with no sign of what has happened to the employees, and now Flash's friend might be under some kind of trance." Jessica said.
"Wait, didn't you mentioned that Wallflower was wearing blue sunglasses too?" Rarity asked.
"Yeah, I even bumped into her before we came to the office. Now that I think about it, she was acting strange too." Flash recalled.
"You don't think she's also under the trance?" Pinkie asked worry.
"Could be. Now that I think about all this, I think there might be a connection to all this." Jessica's mind started to tick on everything they found out so far.
Fluttershy felt the worm wiggling in her hands again about to come out of the dirt and reveal itself to be a blue worm.
"Aw, what a cute blue worm." Fluttershy said.
"Blue worm?" Jessica's eyes widen of shock upon realizing what is going on.
"Fluttershy! Get rid of that worm, now!" Jessica warned.
However, the blue worm reacted faster and jumped right into Fluttershy's ear crawling inside causing the girl to jump in fear and her eyes became glowing blue.
"Fluttershy!" Everyone feared.
"Hello everyone, it is time for the whole world to embrace the dirt of the earth." Fluttershy said strangely.
"Hey, you stupid tiny excuse of a snake, get out of my friend!" Rainbow Dash demanded, then suddenly got grabbed by the mind controlled Fluttershy and throw away using only one arm.
"Okay, didn't see that coming." Rainbow Dash groaned.
"Jessica, what's happening to her?" Sunset asked before dodging a sudden attack from Fluttershy.
"It's a Blue Mind Worm, they taken control of anyone they come into contact with." Jessica answered and quickly grab a hose.
"What do they want with controlling humans?" Applejack asked before catching the hose.
"They want to bury the humans in the ground, to kill them so that their bodies can be use as fertilizer for the planet thinking that humanity can pay their sins this way." Jessica explained as she pulls out a tag with a sealing circle on it from her breasts.
Applejack lasso Fluttershy with the hose tying her up good and Jessica place the tag on the hose which made it heavy causing the brainwashed girl to fall hard on the floor.
"Okay, so we're dealing with killer worms. Didn't see that coming." Twilight shocked.
"Is there any way to get the worm out?" Rarity asked worrying for Fluttershy.
"It's no use, all will become one with the earth." Fluttershy proclaimed.
"Can it, worm bitch!" Rainbow Dash snapped.
"Easy, Rainbow Dash, that's still Fluttershy. For the most part." Applejack said.
"There are only two ways to force the Blue Mind Worms: one is to the kind of chemical that can render them weaker than a normal worm and the other is playing a very high-pitch sound like a dog whistle." Jessica explained.
"Dog whistle?" Flash confused.
"The Blue Mind Worms have very sensitive hearing, a bit more than dogs, one melody of that sound can make them leave the human they are possessing." Jessica said.
"Hold on, would the chemical happen to be like this?" Applejack pulled out the pest spray bottle.
The mind controlled Fluttershy saw the bottle screaming in fear she struggles to move the body away from the girls and the bottle, but the sealing tag on the hose makes it very hard for her to move.
"Looks like we got our answer." Twilight said.
"Hold on, if this worm is connected to Fluttershy's mind then maybe I can see that the Blue Mind Worms are planning." Sunset placed her hand on Fluttershy's forehead to peek into the mind with her eyes glowing white for a moment.
"Okay, I got it." Sunset said.
Applejack grabbed Fluttershy's head squirting the spray bottle into her ear and she screams in pain as her eyes switched from the blue of the evil worm to her normal color a few times until it stops at Fluttershy's normal ear. The animal-loving girls stop struggling as the Blue Mind Worm came out wiggling like crazy because of the pain from the pest spray bottle, then it stops moving as it has died.
"Are you okay, Fluttershy?" Rainbow Dash asked her childhood friend.
"Normally, I'm against animal abuse, but I think I'm willing to make an exception with this one." Fluttershy said, feeling dizzy from being controlled by a worm.
"Now we know why these were in the trashcans, to get rid of this stuff before they could be use against them." Applejack figured out.
"And I know where more of these things are, they're near Canterlot High at the gardening club." Sunset revealed.
"I should have known the Blue Mind Worm, were in town though they're hard to find like in big forests and rarely attack any humans unless their nearby." Jessica mentioned.
"We better get moving to stop more of these blue worms from controlling any more people." Flash suggested.
"And killing them. What kind of idiots think sins can be paid by being buried, it just beyond weird." Rainbow Dash grossed out from just thinking about.
"We better grab as much of the spray bottle as we can before going." Jessica suggested.
"Problem, most of them have holes meaning their empty and there are only three bottles left including the ones Applejack is holding." Twilight reported.
"Then we'll have to make do of what we can get." Jessica said.
"Hold on, I think there's something else we can do." Flash said getting the girls' attention.
(Canterlot High Gardening Club)
"Come on, the gardening club is just over those bushes." Sunset whispered to the group as they follow her.
They hide behind some trees and peek over to see what appears to be some kind of culture ceremony or something like that as they can see some people, they know with their eyes glowing blue, and most of their bodies are covered in dirt. Standing on top of large rock is Wallflower without the blue sunglasses showing that she is indeed under the Blue Mind Worm's control, with a scary glare.
"The time has come for the humans we have gathered to become one with the earth!" Wallflower announced making the others chant.
"Damn it, they're gonna start burying the humans." Jessica feared.
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go in and kick their asses!" Rainbow Dash pounded her fists together, ready for action.
"Hold on, we have to do this right or else we'll put everyone in danger." Rarity reminded her sports-loving friend.
"Okay, we all remember the plan?" Flash asked, and the girls nodded.
"I sure hope we can pull this off." Fluttershy gulped, feeling nervous of doing this plan.
"Don't worry, Fluttershy, we'll make it through this." Jessica smiled, feeling confident for these kids as they're about to crack their first case.
