Artist Mayhem with a Stroke of Brush
"Okay, I think it I have everything I need to get started." A little girl finished setting up the art panting set.
"Lilly Pad, you got everything for your new art hobby?" A woman asked.
"Yeah mom, just need the paintbrushes to get started." Lilly Pad said as she looks round in her room and surprised to not find any paintbrushes.
"That's odd, I could have sworn I bought some paintbrushes for the set." Lilly Pad puzzled.
"Hey mom, did I buy those paintbrushes?" Lilly Pad asked calling out from her room.
"I think so, you must have dropped the bag outside on the step." Her mom responded.
"Oh, maybe that's where it is." Lilly Pad snapped her fingers of realization.
Lilly Pad went downstairs toward the front door to see that a small plastic bag sitting at the small step of the front door.
"Now we can really get started." Lilly Pad smiled as she picks up the bag of paintbrushes.
What she didn't know is that one of the black paintbrushes is glowing white from within the bag which may mean something trouble could happen.
(Canterlot High, Soccer Field)
"I don't know if this is a good idea." Flash said nervously to Rainbow Dash.
"Come on, what's the worst that can happen?" Rainbow Dash asked exciting.
"Maybe with me using my signature guitar as a metal bat to smack the soccer ball that you're about to kick." Flash pointed out as he holds up his guitar.
"And having that ball bounce off of our heads for a little "chain reaction" all the way to Applejack." Sunset said as she and some of the other Rainbooms are standing in line together.
"Which I have to kick the ball back at you. During all of that you will be ponied up and flying high into the sky to perform that Sonic Rainbooms." Applejack added the other things for this stunt.
"To make an awesome kick that would send the ball WAY out of town and all the way to the Everfree Forest!" Rainbow Dash proclaimed.
"How would you even know the ball made its way to the camp?" Flash asked.
"Because she asked me to put in a tracking device into the ball." Twilight asked.
"I even colored it in rainbow color just like Rainbow Dash's hair." Pinkie showed the rainbow-colored soccer ball.
"It's to let others know that Rainbow Dash kicked this ball." Pinkie grinned as she place the soccer ball down.
"Oh yeah, let's get this extreme on!" Spike cheered while waving a flag with his tail.
"Okay, enough talking! Let's get this awesomeness started!" Rainbow Dash excited.
"I don't know how she got us into doing this silly stunt. I should be at my shop to make some new fashion wear." Rarity complained.
"I'm not scared that Flash might hit the ball too hard to us." Fluttershy hid behind Sunset.
"Don't worry, Flash used to play baseball as a little hobby until he stops after his freshman year." Sunset explained.
"I may not do much baseball like before, but I still got the strong grip in my arms for a good swinging." Flash bragged.
"Can we talk about how your husband is good at some things and maybe you give you two a good time in bed soon later." Rainbow Dash said.
"Rainbow Dash, darling! You do not say such things out loud like that!" Rarity scolded.
"Yeah, all already picked out that Jessica would be the first one to go, then Sunset, and me. Then we also do a threesome." Pinkie blurted out causing both Flash and Sunset to blush of extreme embarrassment.
"Pinkie, you weren't supposed to say anything about that." Sunset moaned.
"Don't worry, I haven't said when it will happen." Pinkie chuckled patting on Sunset's arm.
"You better prepare yourself, Flashy honey because your three wives are coming for you love!" Pinkie called out.
"Sure, whatever you say." Flash scratched the back of his head while feeling his heart racing like crazy.
"Here I come with the kick!" Rainbow Dash walked backward while making sure her aim is good.
Flash ready himself with his guitar while the rest of the Rainbooms are standing firm in their positions as Applejack tap her toes on the ground ready for the kicking.
"(Good thing Jessica helped made my guitar unbreakable.)" Flash thought.
Then Rainbow Dash use her superspeed to charge at the soccer ball to kick it strong toward Flash who was able to hit it with his guitar, the rainbow-haired girl jumps up going into her ponied up form to fly fast into the air.
"Okay girls, just like we practice." Sunset said as she sees the ball coming at them.
"But we haven't done any practice about this stunt at all!" Twilight pointed out.
"Here it comes!" Sunset bounced the ball toward the girls.
Twilight gulps nervously and closes her eyes though manages to bounce the ball from her head which went to Rarity, Pinkie, then Fluttershy as it swore towards Applejack who ready herself and clutching her butt cheeks.
Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash is still flying higher and higher for several more seconds with her speed increasing until she made a powerful sharp U-turn, going back down to the soccer field as she glows white for a moment.
Applejack sees the ball getting closer to her and activate her magic geode power to kick the ball with her super strength, sending it flying into the air.
"AWESOME!" Rainbow Dash shouted.
Then when everything felt like all it's going slow motion, she turn her head a little to the left to see something strange: a bat in daylight flying by before quickly getting her focus back on the soccer ball which immediately she performed the Sonic Rainboom going much faster. She flew fast to the ball and kick it with all the force behind it from the superspeed, the kick sends the ball flying very fast from the group's view until they can no longer see it.
"Oh boy, I bet Gloriosa, and Timer are going to be surprised when they see the ball coming their way." Rainbow Dash excited.
"I just hope you won't break anything at the camp." Applejack concerned.
"Well, according to the tracker. The ball should be arriving at Camp Everfree in one minute and eleven seconds." Twilight said tracking the soccer ball with her phone.
"Oh, that reminds me. Can bats fly in the daytime?" Rainbow Dash asked Fluttershy.
"No, bats are nocturnal. Nighttime is the only time they can do what any bats would do, and sunlight can blind them because of their sensitive night vision." Fluttershy explained about bats.
"Well, I could have sworn I saw a bat fly by while I was doing the Sonic Rainboom." Rainbow Dash mentioned looking up.
"Are you sure you weren't just seeing a blur of a bird or something?" Rarity asked.
"Hey, I know how fast I can go and see everything around me. So, I'm pretty sure I know what I saw." Rainbow Dash stated.
"Well, I don't smell any bats around." Spike said sniffing the air.
Suddenly the bat Rainbow Dash saw earlier come trying to swoop on Spike getting him on the head as he quickly duck and barks angrily at the bat.
"Whoa, it is a bat!" Twilight shocked.
"See! I told you so!" Rainbow Dash pointed at the bat.
"Get back, I am not a bug for you to eat and you won't get my blood either!" Spike barked.
"Hold on, let me try calming it down." Fluttershy said as she approached the bat holding out her hand and the bat lands on her wrist hanging upside-down.
"Hello little one, where did you come from?" Fluttershy asked and the bat screeches softly at the girl.
"Huh, you came from a white world?" Fluttershy confused and the bat screeches some more.
"Brought here by something that gave you colors?" Fluttershy confused even more.
"Uh, Fluttershy, are you sure you're understanding the bat correctly because what it's saying sounds ridiculous." Twilight stated.
"No, my power is working fine. It just what the bat saying is… well, like you said, ridiculous." Fluttershy said and the bat screeches again.
"Oh, and he's sorry for attacking you like that, Spike." Fluttershy informed holding the bat close to Spike.
"Well, I guess I can't be mad at you for long." Spike chuckled and like the bat on the face.
However, the licking somehow made the Bat's face look all weird like it was melting from something hot like the sun.
"Oh no, I think I killed it!" Spike panicked, but the bat screeches stating he is still alive.
"Whoa, what happened to the little guy's face?" Pinkie asked looking closely at the bat.
"I don't know, all I did was accepting his apology with my licking and then it just looks like that." Spike explained and parts of the bat's face drips onto the grass.
"If this is something out of the ordinary, then we need to go see Jessica about it." Sunset suggested.
"Okay, I'll activate the Crimson Gate." Flash said getting out his phone and pressed the red icon with a black lightning bolt symbol.
"I'm glad Jessica gave you that kind of app, so we don't have to worry about going to your locket every time." Pinkie said.
"Yeah, but she said we'll be going to other openings that the app would always send us through." Sunset mentioned.
"Looks like the way is in this trashcan." Flash opened the lid showing the red portal.
"Oh no, I am not going in there. Nope, not happening." Rarity crossed her arms under her breasts.
"Come on, it's fun to go through the Crimson Gate." Flash tried talking Rarity into this.
"But why does it have to be in the trash. It's disgusting." Rarity complained.
"Okay, I think it's time for the apple helper." Sunset said.
"Apple helper?" Rarity confused.
"That's me." Applejack wrapped her arms around Rarity's stomach and lifts her up moving to the Crimson Gate trashcan.
"Applejack! Put me down this instant! Applejack, don't you dare!" Rarity struggled to break free from the incredibly strong cowgirl as she throws her legs around.
"Sorry Rarity, but we have a potential emergency on our hands, and we need to get to the Hopping Scarlet, lickidy split." Applejack said.
"But it's a trashcan-AAAAHHH?!" Rarity screamed when Applejack just threw Rarity right into the Crimson Gate.
"See you all there." Applejack jumped in and everyone goes in with Fluttershy being last.
"Now just hang on to me and you'll be okay. I hope." Fluttershy said to the bat before jumping through the Crimson Gate.
(Hopping Scarlet, Jessica's Office)
Jessica is seen at her desk looking over this month's bill seeing that everyone appears to be doing okay as she already sent the money to those companies, then she saw her closet glowing red meaning Flash and the Rainbooms have arrived and open it as everyone came crashing in.
"Hey Jessica, doing okay at work?" Flash asked nicely to his wife.
"Yeah, nothing much going on until in the late afternoon." Jessica answered.
"Well, you may want to check this out." Rainbow Dash pointed at Fluttershy who showed the weird bat at Jessica.
"A bat?" Jessica confused.
"In daytime, and we think his face might be melting when Spike licked him." Fluttershy explained.
"He's not dying, is he?" Spike asked worry.
"Uh, I have encounter weird things in my secret magical police work, but I don't think I ever heard about bats having most of their face mess up from just licking." Jessica said as she looks closely at the bat.
"Well, there must be something odd about that bat we can figure out." Spike jumped onto Jessica's desk though accidentally spilled some white paper.
"Oops, sorry about that." Spike apologized.
"No worries, I was done with those papers anyway." Jessica shrugged.
The bat saw those papers and suddenly flew off from Fluttershy's arm landing onto one of the papers, then it merges into the paper becoming a picture of the bat itself which shocked everyone as Fluttershy picks up the paper seeing it closely with her own eyes.
"Oh dear, did the bat just… became one with the paper?" Fluttershy asked.
"Hold on, let me check something." Twilight pulled out a vail from pocket.
"What's that?" Pinkie asked.
"A sample of the bat after Spike licked his face, dripping from it got me curious and wanted to see what this was." Twilight answered as she microscope to see the sample.
"And I know this structure, inorganic pigment!" Twilight discovered.
"Huh?" Most of the group confused of what Twilight just said.
"She said that sample is paint." Sunset pointed out.
"Wait, so you're saying that bat was literally made of paint, and I just licked paint?" Spike asked, feeling more confused than ever.
"But how exactly did a panting of a bat came to life?" Flash asked.
"Oh, do you think it's gonna be a new case for us?" Pinkie asked Jessica.
"Not unless the Magic-Commissioner gives us a case that involves magic in the arts." Jessica said.
Then the phone started ringing from Jessica's desk, and Pinkie and Rainbow Dash glare at each other.
"Applejack! Tackle Pinkie!" Rainbow Dash shoved the cowgirl to suddenly tackle Pinkie into the floor.
"Hey, no fair!" Pinkie yelled and used her Breaking the Fourth Wall ability to push herself down crashing onto top of Rainbow Dash right when she was about to reach for the phone.
"Look Pinkie, it's the Joker!" Rainbow Dash gasped pointing at a random direction.
"Your days of destroying clowns' good names are done!" Pinkie yelled at a wall and Rainbow Dash pushed Pinkie off getting to the phone.
"Hello, Equestrian Detectives, the awesome Rainbow Dash speaking." Rainbow Dash answered the call with her confident smirk.
"Hey there, Magic- Commissioner, we were just talking about something strange that just happened." Rainbow Dash said then heard mumbling.
"Actually, it does have something to do with painting." Rainbow Dash nodded and gesture Jessica to come over for her to listen too.
"Okay, we're on the case." Jessica nodded before Rainbow Dash hanged up.
"What did the Magic-Commissioner said?" Rarity asked.
"It looks like there has been some weird sightings in a neighborhood: a bunch of small rainbows, flamingos, flying books with one eye on the front cover, a pirate is somehow anchored in the middle of the street, and other things." Jessica reported.
"Oh dear, those are definitely not normal things." Twilight stated.
"Right, but what's strange is that those things always a strange trail of paint behind." Jessica mentioned.
"Paint, just like the bat." Flash said.
"But where are they coming from?" Applejack wondered.
"He said this strange occurs started in one neighborhood. Let's go!" Jessica said as the case has just started.
(Few Minutes Later)
Everyone is seen riding into Jessica's red car onto the street of the neighborhood that was reported where all the strange things are happening, and few flying books flew above them.
"I know I always love reading books that makes my mind fly, but them literally flying is just weird." Twilight said.
"Pirate ship, coming up." Jessica alerted as she drove around the pirate ship.
"You know, when there are pirate ships there are usually a pirate crew with it." Pinkie pointed out.
Suddenly tow cannonballs where shot from the ship going for Jessica and the group though she dodges them swiftly as they look back seeing the pirate crew.
"Found them!" Pinkie smiled.
"We need to find the source of where are they coming from." Jessica said.
Then one pirate man landed on the back of the car freaking mostly everyone out as he tries to climb aboard.
"Get back, you dirty brute!" Rarity threw a water bottle.
The bottle flew over the pirate though it was open without a lid and splashes water on the pirate causing him to become smush and splash off the car, Jessica hit the break stopping the car and everyone got out seeing it.
"This is just like how the bat was meaning… It's paint." Sunset figured out.
"Hey Rarity, isn't this the neighborhood where Lilly Pad lives?" Pinkie asked as she looks around.
"Why yes, I believe it is." Rarity recognized the place.
"You two can worry about your kid later, we're on a case." Rainbow Dash reminded.
"Well, it wouldn't hurt to at least check up on the little darling." Rarity shrugged as she walks to Lilly Pad's house with Pinkie following.

The Equestrian Detectives are on a new case which is mostly involves paint and it may seem like Rarity made the right call with checking up on Lilly Pad, let's hope this art case doesn't turn them into art in the worst possible way.
