Chapter 19 – Interlude…

Sirius, Hadriana and Teddy.

Sirius was carrying Teddy towards their own little room, while Hadriana held his hand. They were walking quietly together not worrying about what everyone else was doing with their time, they had enough with themselves.

"Sleep tight Teddy…" Sirius said and spread a blanket over their son in a bed which would be his through this adventure.

Hadriana kissed Teddy's forehead as he cosied up into his blanket and took Sirius's hand leading him to their own cot silently casting a Silencio around his bed so that they wouldn't wake him up because they all knew of their own nightmares that bothered them some nights.

They changed into their night clothes silently not saying a word, but the atmosphere was easy and comfortable around them.

Hadriana was laying atop of him listening to his heartbeat, feeling it beating and that he was breathing something she had done for the last couple of years since the war. She was feeling her eyes fill up with tears, but she couldn't let them fall.

"Shh…" Sirius hummed, as he were running his fingers through her long hair knowing how hard it was for her. "I'm here." He tried to give her comfort and kissed her hair.

Tightening her arms around his torso, she sighed and finally let the tear run from her eyes. "I… I don't know why I'm like this right now?" she hiccuped and pressed her face into his chest.

"I think… everything is coming back to you, how you felt, and things are dragged up from your subconscious that you have either forgotten or suppressed." He told her, letting her find comfort. "I wish I had been there… I wish I hadn't been so stupid, and gone to Dumbledor's office back then, and just worried about finding you." This had bothered him for years and still bothered him. It was something he regretted and would regret for the rest of his life.

Hadriana thought about what he was saying and was something that she had known could happen if they went on this journey to the past to warn them about what was coming their way. "It's not easy, but I think this could be good for me – get everything out there." She sighed, kissing the skin above his heart.

"We agreed… It was not your fault; you couldn't have known that Dumbledore would curse you with the Imperio to go after that despicable rat." She hissed, raising up with her hands and looking him right in the eyes fiercely.

Sirius dried her face softly, smiled his charming smile and said, "I love you!" and swiftly kissed her. Turning them, so that she was underneath him. Running his fingers softly on her face, staring into her eyes – firstly leaning down to kiss her forehead, then her nose and then kissed her.

Kissing him back softly, and gently her hands in his hair gently tugging at his hair, opening up to him as the kiss deepened. Hadriana sighed, leaning back, and looked into his eyes one finger at his lower lip. "Love you too."

"I know!" Sirius said and laid beside her on his sides so that he could still look her in the eyes. Laying a hand on her stomach, caressing it softly. "What do you think about being pregnant?" he asked, and swiftly kissed her stomach.

"Incredibly happy!" Hadriana said with a smile, and stretched her tired body, "and still a little bit weird. You?"

"Ecstatic!" Sirius smiled widely with a glint in his eyes, "our little tadpole, is going to be so loved!" he laughed at the outraged look on Hadriana's face at hearing his nickname for their child.

"You are not calling our daughter, tadpole!" Hadriana laughed and hit his arm. Something that was his purpose in saying it.

"It's our little one!" Sirius smiled, kissing her one more time before dragging her into his arms to sleep for a couple of hours.

"Ours!" Hadriana sighed happily over the little one growing inside of her, starting her own life, snuggling into his arms falling asleep with a fond smile across her face.

Sirius looked at her, "Love you!" he whispered and closed his arms tightening his arms around her before he swiftly drifted off.

Ron and Hermione

They were quiet as they went into their own room after they had talked with his parents for a while. To them, it was funny to see them this carefree even with three sons, but it made them a little bit sad to see them like this, they weren't their parents even if they somewhat could emphasize what they had gone through.

They hadn't been through the things they had in the future, and maybe never would.

Sitting down together on the bed, Hermione laid her head down on Ron's shoulder. Hermione couldn't take it anymore; it was hard to see themselves so young. So naïve. So optimistic. In a wonder of a world that had done them such a disservice.

Ron looked, really looked and with a swiftness that came with growing up he lifted Hermione up in his arms, swiftly making room on the bed for them sitting upraised in the bed with her across his lap with the duvet around them. "It's going to be alright," Ron told her and dried the tears that were falling down her face.

"How do you know that?" Hermione asked and raised her head to look him in the eyes.

"I know so…" Ron smiled, "we've managed to live through hell, we are creating a life for ourselves, you are making head waves in the ministry back home, I'm embracing my inner prankster and pursuing a career in magizoologist." He reminded her swiftly; it wasn't often that it was him that had to remind her about what they were going forwards in life. It had always been her that had reminded him why he had started to go into his now-chosen career.

Hermione laughed and gave him a kiss.

After that they made their bed and went to sleep in each other's arms.

Neville and Luna

Neville wondered if they were doing right by themselves to do this, it was harder than he had imagined watching his younger self being so insecure. "Are we doing the right thing, love?"

"I think it will be cathartic for them to see this," Luna told him without seeming to be in her own space. It had always been her coping mechanism to stay in a state of 'I-don't-care' mind, even when she could see some things no one else could know or see. However, there was something that Luna was unsure about, and that was about her own life and looked towards Neville. She was so incredibly fond of him, he had helped her through the aftermath of the war, and losing her father, even helping her with her estate that he left her. They had just fallen for one another, but sometimes she'd had second thoughts about their relationship.

There was nothing he could do, but he could see the slow doubt in his fiancée's eyes about where their relationship was going. "Are you also having doubts of our relationship?" he worried out loud. "To be fair, I've had them for a while now," he admitted.

All of her insecurities went haywire at hearing that he too had these thoughts, "I love you." she said listlessly, a little bit frustrated she had never been good at coming across with her feelings. Walking towards him, she laid her hand on his cheek looking at him with fondness. "Don't want to lose you, but I've been feeling dread creeping up through my spine since we began."

"You won't lose me!" Neville told her fiercely and looked into her blue eyes that used to have that small sparkle of mischief in them. Neville swiftly hugged her, letting her rest in his arms before they talked some more about what was happening before, they got some sleep.

Lily, James, Remus, Frank, and Alice

They told their goodbye to a Sirius as he was going to talk to his brother more, it was great fun to finally see the two of them making up and getting close again.

James knew about how close they had been to one another before Sirius went to Hogwarts, and it had hurt him to see his brother in all but blood look so down every year as he watched Regulus from their table.

"What a day!" James said dramatically and plopped down on the couch with Lily on his lap.

"James!" Lily said, hitting him on the back of his head. "But I have to agree," Lily said with a yawn.

"This is just the start!" Remus gave off a yawn too and told him goodbye.

"I think we are also going to sleep," Frank said to the two of them.

It was just the two of them sitting in the common room, they were in companionable silence and loved that they didn't have to say anything to one another all the time. In the end, they kissed goodbye and that they would see one another the next day and went to their own rooms since they were the head boy and girl this last year at Hogwarts.

Fleamont and Euphemia

"Why didn't you tell me about the invisibility cloak?" Euphemia narrowed her eyes and looked towards her husband; a little bit pissed off that he hadn't told her this.

"Mostly tradition. It was the date my father gave me the clock, so, I did it like that with my son." Fleamont told her winching at her hiss, "I'm sorry, I should have told you, but it's always been between father and son/daughter." He sighed.

"That I would have understood, dear." Euphemia said fondly, "you could have told me this, at least."

"I know that now dear," he snickered, kissed her quickly and spelt the room as they wanted it before they snuggled up to one another under the duvet on the bed.

Younger Sirius and Regulus.

"Brother!" Younger Sirius said, and lead Regulus to a corner and a small crock in the great hall where they could talk before, they had to go back to their rooms.

"Yeah?" Regulus inquired happily wondering what it was he wanted to know, even if the last couple of hours had gone quickly and that they had somewhat made-up things weren't easier between them.

"I'm sorry that I just left you there, but I didn't see any other options." Younger Sirius told him, thinking back on what had happened when he left a year ago.

"I am beginning to see that, but you must understand it. You were my big brother, the one that protected me from them, and suddenly I was alone with mother." Regulus said angrily.

"I know." sighed Sirius, a little bit frustrated over the whole thing. "What do you think about all of this?"

"Its interesting to see you as a grown-up, and happy. Also, it will be interesting to see what will happen." Regulus told him excitingly, and maybe things would right themselves up.

"That I can see too, and I can't wait to see more!" Sirius told him, and thereafter they said their goodbyes and left for their own common room.
