Sansa didn't know what to do. They needed allies, and The Vale was a powerful one. But she didn't really want to marry Littlefinger. In fact, she wasn't even that keen on returning to King's Landing. She had experienced so many things there, most of them bad. Being queen didn't hold the same appeal it once had.

But it was nice to be with Bran and Arya again. So much had changed. None of them were the same as they had been the last time they were together.

And they couldn't even really enjoy getting to know each other again. Not with the threat of an invasion. Of course, it was possible Cersei would come through for them and actually decide to help. But she had learned a long time ago not to count on Cersei doing the right thing. It just wasn't her way to do the right thing simply because it was right.

At the same time, Elijah knew his siblings. If Freya was going to King's Landing, maybe she could do something. If Klaus or Rebekah were already there, that might be even better. They would surely be able to get through to the queen, or at least they might try.

At the same time, he had to focus on things here. He did like Bran's sister Sansa. But he worried about her too. It seemed she had been through a lot in her life. They all had, but she seemed troubled by current events, perhaps more than anyone else.

And there were people he didn't fully trust. It seemed to be hard to know who to trust here. But some people seemed to have their own agendas, and those may not always align with what was right or what needed to be done. And sure enough, he overheard Sansa and Arya talking. It seemed Sansa had been approached by someone that claimed to care for her. But from all she said had happened, Elijah had a hard time believing it was true. Arya didn't seem to believe it either. But it didn't seem like there was much they could do, and something needed to be done about this soon. And maybe he was the one that needed to do it. Alliances were important, but they couldn't exist if both parties weren't able to be open and trust each other.
