Danny was heading to the lunchroom when he saw Tucker getting harassed by Dash. Danny rushed over to his best friend and bully.
"Guys wait, violence is never the answer," Danny told the two.
"Well, look who's finally here. I have been waiting for you, Fenton," Danny closed his eye, waiting for Dash to hurt him, but nothing happened. "No, seriously, we've been saving your seat for ten minutes. So where have you been, buddy?" Dash asked.
Is Dash being nice? Something must be wrong here. Did he eat the bad meat again, or bumped his head or something? He took his set, and the football team came over to Tucker and started to cheer for him. He picked up a newspaper and saw himself in football gear throwing a football.
"Fenton throws the winning pass?" Danny questioned. "Throws? Winning... Fenton?"
This made him question this even more before his Ghost Sense went off. He saw that it was the Fright Knight on his sted Nightmare.
"Danny, outside the Fright Knight," Dash pointed at the ghost.
"Why are you telling me?" Danny started to sweat
"Duh, because you have ghost powers," he said like it was obvious.
As the students of Casper High began to cheer Danny on, he transformed and phased out of the building.
"Hey, Fright But! You know the freezing point of metal?" Danny fired an ice blast from his hands, froze the Fright Knight, and caught him in the Fenton Thermos. "I'm getting an A+ in science because of Marinette, so that rhetoric question."
Danny phased back into the lunchroom as the students cheered for his victory. But Danny thinks something is wrong because he knows that the Fright Knight should have been tougher than that.
"It must be nice, Fenton being a superhero and having a harem of girls being all lovesick for ya," Dash said.
"Sounds like someone's tired of taking his cousin to all the dances," Tucker quipped.
"She's my mom, sister's stepdaughter," Dash said, annoyed by Tucker's comment.
"Come on, guys, there is only one girl for me," Danny said.
"I'm hoping that you're talking about me," Sam came up with a lettermen jacket on her with his name stitched on the upper pocket.
"Sam!?" Danny said in surprise. "I thought you were still in Paris for the student exchange program?" Danny was now confused about why she was there now.
"Yeah, but I came back early. So can you make room for your girlfriend?" she asked.
"Girlfriend? But Marinette is my girlfriend. So what is going on here, Sam?" Danny asked, feeling this was getting weird.
"Danny, I thought you dreamt of being with me?" Sam questioned him.
"I did at one point, but when Marinette showed up, I began to have feelings for her. She is smart, pretty, and funny. I might have asked you to be my girlfriend if you weren't sent to Paris. Or I realized my feelings for you earlier, but I love you as my best friend, and no one can take that away from us," Danny said as the world became static, and he woke up on a rock in the Ghost Zone.
"Danny, I'm glad you woke up! Everyone is in trouble now!" Tikki float right next to him.
"Hey, your Marinette's Kwami, right?" Danny asked.
"Yes, I'm Tikki, the Kwami of creation. It's nice to meet you, Danny Fenton," she greeted.
"It's nice to meet you, Tikki. What is happening, and why are we in the Ghost Zone?" Danny asked.
"Well, Danny. Marinette was about to sleep before getting attacked by a ghost that put her to sleep. After that, I went to find you, but you were nowhere in sight before I saw a ghost that looked like a starry sky taking you to that big machine in the basement. I tried to wake you up but couldn't because of the helmet on your head," Tikki explained.
"That ghost that looks like a starry night is the one I faced when my ghost sense went off when Marinette left my room," Danny said as it returned to him.
"We got to go help them, Tikki. Come on, follow me," Danny told the Kwami.
Danny and Tikki went to the ghost portal to help the people of Amity Park. As they made it back to the lab, Danny and Tikki phased into Marinette's room, seeing her with the helmet that Danny had on before.
"Marinette!" both cried out as Danny tried to touch the helmet for him only to get shocked by it.
"Ow!" Danny pulled his hand back after being shocked.
"It seems like those helmets protect the wearer from being taken off," Tikki observed.
"I see that, but I think I could wake her by going into her dream," Danny told the Kwami.
"Did you ever do that before, Danny?" Tikki asked the ghost boy.
"Well, no, but I have to try for Marinette and everyone else," Danny said.
"Can I go with you? I could help to wake Marinette up," Kwami asked Danny.
"I never had anyone overshadow someone with me, including magical beings like you," Danny felt unsure that he could have someone else overshadow another person.
Danny decided to wing it and went intangible with Tikki in his palm. Tikki gave an adorable giggle when they turned intangible.
"How does it feel?" Danny wondered why she was laughing.
"It tickles," the Kwami answered while still giggling.
Danny phased into Marinette and went into her dreams.
Vlad has made a deal with Hawk Moth that if he helped him get the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous, he'd help him create his perfect son with his Miraculous.
"I want him to have my eyes but Maddie's hair." He said to himself.
The Akuma left the bowtie and returned to Hawkmoth's lair. Vlad smiled that he had a new partner to help him out, and now he would do business with some of the wealthy people of Paris, starting with Gaberal Agreste.
Vlad went to Gaberal Agreste's mansion, and the security camera came out of the wall and looked at him.
"Who is this, and state your business?" Natalie asked on the microphone.
"Greeting. My name is Vlad Masters, and I came from Amity Park to speak business to Gabriel Agreste, and I want that talk now." Vlad greeted.
Natalie was about to tell Vlad that Gabriel could not talk to him, but Gabriel was behind her.
"Let him in, Natalie. Let us see what he wants." Gabriel told her.
Surprising her why he was letting this stranger in the house, she looked into the man's eyes and decided to let Vlad inside the mansion.
As Vlad walked into the mansion, the two villains stared at each other. They were waiting for the other to make a move.
Vlad then made the first move. "Greetings, Gabriel Agreste. My name is Vlad Masters. It is a pleasure to meet someone of your reputation, and not just the business side of you," Vlad greets the stoic man.
"It's nice to meet you, Mr. Masters. I heard a bit about you after researching Amity Park, Mr. Mayor." Gabriel said, giving the same stoic look. "I am impressed that you came from nothing to something in a short amount of time."
"What can I say? I'm very negotiable when it comes to business, almost supernaturally." Vlad smirked.
"Anyway, what do you want to talk about, Mr. Master?" Gabriel asked the older halfa.
"I was thinking of you coming to Amity Park to showcase some of the new designs you're coming up with this summer. Also, I think Vlad-co would also use your designs for inventions for space and other worlds," Vlad pitched the idea to Gabriel.
Gabriel thought for a minute. For one, this could expand his business beyond Paris, and two, he could get revenge on Danny Phantom for ruining his plans with Ragtash. "I'll take up on your offer, Mr. Master."
Both of them shook hands, and both of them smiled.
Danny and Tikki made it to Marinette's dream. They were in Paris, and Danny was amazed at how beautiful Paris was. He would want to visit Paris to go on a date with Marinette.
Danny and Tikki flew around to find where Marinette was and had her help them take down the ghost take to put them to sleep. They found where Marinette was, and she was with a dream version of Danny.
"I'm so happy you came to help me get the Butterfly and the Peacock Miraculous, Danny. And now I'm glad we are together as a couple," Marinette said as she wrapped her arm around his.
"Yeah, I can't believe Hawkmoth was just as or even more of a fruitloop than Vlad was. But I'm glad I was here to help you and Chat Noir to take him down. And now I'm glad I can be together with you, Mari," Dream Danny said.
"Mari?" Danny asked the Kwami.
"Short for Marinette," Tikki answered.
"That is a nice nickname for her. I guess I'll call her that when we capture that dream ghost," Danny said.
"Even though I have to go back to Amity Park to protect the people from the ghost attacks, I always think about you, Mari," Dream Danny looked into Marinette's eyes as they kissed on the lips.
Danny decided to overshadow his dream self to wake up Marinette.
"I have a question, Mari?" the overshadowed Dream Danny asked.
"What is it, my Chevalier?" Marinette asked.
"Are you still in love with Adrien?" Danny said as Marinette put his finger on her cheek. She then took a deep breath and looked at Danny with a smile. "Even though I still like Adrien, I want to give us a chance. If Adrien loves another girl, I should let him go and move on. Even though I have only known you for two weeks, I feel like we have a connection with each other, and I want to see how far that connection goes, Mon Chevalier," Marinette told him.
"So you are going to let go of Adrien for me?" Danny had a surprised look on his face.
Marinette wrapped her arms around Danny's neck and kissed Danny on the lips. It surprised Danny, and he kissed her back. After they finish kissing, the world becomes static, and Marinette wakes up.
"AHHH," she yelled as Danny and Tikki came out of her dream.
"Marinette, are you alright?" Danny asked.
"I'm alright, but what is going on? And why are you Phantom now?" Marinette asked him.
"Well, Tikki said that some ghost put you to sleep and went to get me to do something about it, but I was dealing with a ghost. I think I was dealing with one," Danny still feeling unsure about what happened when he was out of it after being in the Ghost Zone for who knows how long.
"We need to know what these ghosts look like and what we are fighting. Then we might need to talk, Danny," Marinette blushed as she looked away from him.
Danny did the same as he grabbed her hand. Marinette blushes, and Danny flies them up with his intangibility to the OP Center. Danny when to the OP Center's computers to look at the security footage 0f what happened. He found what he was looking for and found these green ghost phrasing in the front door.
"It looks like they are breaking and entering to me. Well, like phasing and entering," Danny joked.
Danny changes the screen to other security cameras in the kitchen, the living room, and the lab showing the green ghost putting their hands near their faces and causing them to be put to sleep, then placing the helmet on their heads.
'I Wonder why those ghosts go after my family and you?" Danny asked.
"I don't know, but we should find out why they put your family to sleep," Marinette said.
Danny thought for a moment, then came up with an idea. "I wonder if Tucker's can shed some more light on this problem," Danny told her.
Danny grabbed Marinette's hand and made them intangible to get out of the OP Center. He carried Marinette bridely style and saw that many people had those helmets on their heads. Finally, they made it to Tucker's room, and Tucker was asleep.
"Let's see what's on Tucker's vision," Danny said as he typed on the computer, and a hologram showed the ghost with the stary night body putting the helmet on his head.
"That's the ghost I saw putting the helmet on you and Marinette," Tikki said.
"Yeah, he does look familiar," Danny put his finger on his chin.
"What are we going to do now, Danny? Should we wake up Tucker, or should we try to find the ghost that is putting everyone to sleep," Marinette asked Danny.
"Yes, we need to wake up Tucker because he could help us against this new ghost," Danny told him, and he phased into Tucker's dream to wake him up.
In Tucker's dream, Danny saw that he was rich and had many different vehicles like a helicopter, fancy cars, and SUVs. He also had a fancy mansion that was in front of him. In the mansion, Danny saw his best friend on a couch with twins that looked like Star.
"Can I interest either of you ladies in a beverage? Say chocolate milk?"Tucker offered as he pressed a remote to a fridge raised from the ground and opened to have multiple chocolate milk.
The Star twins went to get the milk as a janitor cleaned with a vacuum passed by. "That will be all, Fenton," the janitor was Danny Fenton.
Danny was angry about this and decided to go to Tucker. Tucker was now dancing with the Star twins and kissed on the hand and was about to kiss the other before Danny Phantom glared at him.
"I'm your janitor?!: Danny is upset that Tucker made him a janitor in his dream.
Tucker causes Tucker to panic and s up from his dream.
"That was some nightmare that I had," Tucker said as he saw Danny and Marinette next to him.
"Dude, does she knows?" Tucker asked.
"Yes, she does, but that doesn't matter right now," Danny said. "I need your help to deal with this ghost that put everyone to sleep."
"You can count on me, Danny!" Tucker gave him a thumbs up.
"Also, I do not do windows," Danny grumbled.
It made Tucker wonder if Danny saw the part of his dream where he was a janitor. Even though Danny was his best friend, he still felt a little bit jealous of him from time to time.
Danny carried Marinette and Tucker to Fenton Works. As Tucker and Marinette waited, he went to Jazz's room to wake her up.
"So how long have you known Danny's secret as Phantom, Marinette?" Tucker asked.
"Since the dance yesterday. We were attacked by a robotic ghost named Skulker, and Danny didn't want to leave me alone so he could transform. So he transformed and protected me from that metalhead hunter," Marinette lied.
"Never transform in front of people unless the people are running for their lives from a ghost," Tucker explained. "Danny must really trust you if he is going to tell you his biggest secret."
"Uh, yeah, he trusts me with his secret of being Danny Phantom," Marinette didn't look at Tucker and rubbed the back of her neck.
Before Tucker could ask her what was wrong, Danny came out of Jazz's room with Jazz rubbing her hand on her head.
"So is that everyone, Danny, to deal with this dream ghost?" Marinette asked.
"Yeah, so let's get geared up and stop this ghost from putting everyone to sleep," Danny said as they went down to the lab to get some Fenton weapons.
As they were gearing up to face off the ghosts, Danny's ghost sense went off, and multiple green ghosts began to phase in the house.
"Oh great," Danny grumbled as he got into a fighting stance.
The green ghost was about to grab Marinette, Tucker, and Jazz before Danny blasted them with his ghost ray to knock them back.
"Thanks Mon chevalier," Marinette call out.
Danny was confused about what Marinette called him, but he kept his attention on the green ghost by freezing them with his eye beams. Danny then kicked and punched the frozen ghost shattering them.
Suddenly the ghost that looked like a starry night phased in. Danny suddenly recognized him as the ghost he was fighting before getting shoved into the Ghost Zone.
"You!" Danny exclaimed. "You're the one that sent me to the Ghost Zone!"
"Yes, and how dare you wake my livestock," the ghost glared at Danny with his red eyes.
"Who are you anyway?" Danny asked the ghost.
I'm Nocturn, the ghost of sleep. I go from town to town to put being of this realm to sleep. With this realm having millions of beings I can put to sleep, I can be all-powerful," he explained. "But you, ghost child, are getting my way of completing those plans."
"And I won't let you do that!" Danny charged at him.
Nocturn fired a white wave of energy at Danny to stop him. Danny shot his energy wave to block it. However, his energy wave was too weak compared to his, and it stuck him in the chest, pushing him back. The dream ghost lifted his hand and used telekinesis that lifted Danny off the ground, then smashed him against the wall.
"Danny!" Marinette, Tucker, and Jazz cried out.
Jazz and Marinette grabbed a blaster from the desk and fired at the dream ghost. The blast gave him holes in his body where they shot him; however, the holes began to regenerate. Nocturn turned around and was about to strike before Danny fired a large ectoblast that made a large hole in his chest.
"Don't you dare touch them, you dream creep!" Danny said as he charged at Nocturn, and roundhouse kicked him to the wall.
Danny followed that up with an ectobeam which Nocturn fired one of his own, which collied in the air. There was a sight beam struggle before the beams exploded in mid-air, pushing them both back to the opposite walls.
"Sleepwalkers form," the green ghost known as Sleepwalkers appears out of nowhere and begins to dog pile on Danny.
"Hey, get off my boyfriend, you blobs," Marinette fired the Fenton ghost blaster at them. However, there were too many of them for her to shoot off Danny.
"Fire all you want, French girl, but with many people asleep, it fuels my Sleepwalkers and me to be all-powerful. And I can do this all day," Nocturn said. "And now I'll permanently put your boyfriend into a deep sleep."
When Danny heard this, he lifted the Sleepwalkers over his head and froze them with his ice-eye beams. Then, Danny smashes the block of ice into pieces.
"Sleepwalkers fo-" before he could finish the sentence, Danny froze his mouth shut.
"I'm not going to let you finish that sentence, mister tall, dark, and spooky," Danny quipped. "Now it's time to hibernate!" Danny charged at him, and he kicked him, then freezing him solid.
Tucker, who had gotten the Fenton Thermos, captured the dream ghost and closed the cap. "Sweet dream," he quipped.
With Nocturn captured, the Sleepwalkers began to disappear.
"Great work Tuck," Danny congratulate.
"No problem, dude. We must deactivate those helmets to wake everyone up," Tucker told them as Jazz followed Tucker.
Only Danny and Marinette were the only ones that didn't follow them.
"Danny, we need to talk," Marinette said, which made Danny wonder what she wanted to talk about.
"Okay, what do you want to talk about, Mari?" Danny asked her.
"How did you know that, Danny?" Marinette was surprised that Danny knew her nickname.
"Uh, I went into your dream and heard the dream me call you that. I'm sorry for entering your dream. That was the only way I would wake you up," Danny explained.
"It's okay, Danny. You had no other choice," Marinette said. "Anyway, I want to tell you that I want our relationship to work, and I have to give up on Adrien if I want to do that," Marinette sighed.
"Are you sure about giving up on him?" Danny asked.
Marinette kissed him on the cheek, then on the nose, and finally on the lips. "Does that answer your question, Mon Chevalier," she said with a confident smile.
Danny blushed heavily from the kiss that Marinette gave him. Marinette was then about to faint from what she did, but Danny was able to catch her.
"Hey."
"Hey."
Both of them smile with blush on their faces.
"Uh, we sure go before Jazz and Tucker ask us what's taking us so long," Danny said.
"Yeah, we should go before they ask us why we're taking so long," Danny and Marinette went out of the lab while holding hands.
This is the end of that chapter. I decided to adapt the Fightmare because I wanted to slightly. So Marinette and Danny are now a true couple. Also, the season three finale will be adapted as well.
