Again, I am sorry that it's late :/ I promise I will try and upload every week. I hope you guys aren't getting bored because I am really enjoying this story :)

Chapter 10

I stay standing on the spot, staring at the floor and wishing for all this hurt to go away. I can explain later, right?

A small chuckle was heard and I look up at Sasuke to see a small, but sad, smile on his face.

"You look like you're on the verge of tears, you know" He said as he stood to walk over to me. As if on cue, droplets of water began to fall down my cheeks. Sasuke kissed away the salty wetness and clung onto me, as if he never intended to let me go.

"Thank god" I whisper, sniffing as I grip him tight, "I'm so glad you didn't fall for that"

"It was a shock at first," replied Sasuke, releasing his touch slightly, "I mean, obviously it was much more than just a shock . . ."

A betrayed expression placed itself onto Sasuke's face so I kissed him lightly on his lip, portraying all the regret I was feeling.

"I'm sorry," I whisper into his ear, "I'm so sorry."

"I'm not an idiot, Naruto," stated Sasuke, "I heard you on the phone but I didn't know what it was about. Then, you acted so cold towards me . . ."

I felt another wave a guilt spread through me and I was about to say something when he cut me off, "It was horrible but then you said . . . What you said and then I realised what might have been going on."

"How?" I asked. We began making our way back to the kitchen before Sasuke continued his explanation.

"I just thought that you wouldn't have risked your life to bring me back to the village just for you to just break up with me so suddenly. You're not the type to do that, Naruto. You don't like hurting people's feelings so you'd prefer to let them down gently rather than the abrupt way that you . . . Just did."

I had no idea that Sasuke knew this much about me. He always ignored me or just 'Hn'ed whenever I asked a question.

I leant across the table to place a passionate kiss onto his lips. They parted slightly, allowing me to enter. We poured our emotions into the kiss, silently reassuring each other. A realization suddenly came to me and I pushed Sasuke away.

"Don't s-"

I cover his mouth with my hand and I lean towards his ear, whispering,

"She can see us."

Sasuke's eyes opened wide in alarm and he looked outside each window. Only darkness was visible, he couldn't see anyone.

A loud ring made us both jump. We both stared at the phone on the table, hesitating to answer it.

I finally pick up the device and I hold it to my ear, not wanting to say anything.

"You failed." The woman growled in anger, "You do realise what's going to happen now, don't you?"

My entire body was enraged at her bold statement.

"Now you listen to me and you listen good," I state in warning, almost shouting, "I will not say this twice. You will stay away from my family and you will leave this village. It's time for you to play my game and if you fail, if I manage to find you and I will not stop until I do, the one who will be facing any consequences is you. Do I make myself clear? Because believe me, you do not want me near you. You do not want face my wrath. Understood?"

I turn myself aroun and face Sasuke who flinched in return. I became aware that my eyes had become red and my nails had become claws. I hear a loud gulp in the phone and I calm down at the fact that I had scared her. The nails retracted back to normal but my eyes were still filled with fury.

"You've just made the biggest mistake of your life." The woman whispered before a dull tone rang in my ear. I almost crush the phone in my grip and I look at Sasuke.

"You will be with me at all times." I order and he sighed in response,

"As much as I love your dominant side, I think I can protect myself. I'm not weak, Naruto"

"I know, baby" I reply lovingly and I lean my forehead against his, "I just don't want you . . . Either of you, to get hurt"

Sasuke gave a small, rare smile and he placed his soft lips against my cheek,

"I love you,"

"I love you too" I say, each word said with a kiss to his face as I make my way to his mouth. Sasuke places his arms around my shoulders and pulls me closer. My hands found their way to his protruding belly and I felt my princess kick again. I smile knowing she's still well and healthy.

"How much longer until I get to meet you? . . ." I mumble to myself. Sasuke thought I was asking him so he answered, "2 months and 3 weeks, I think"

I freeze at how close the due date was. I remember that we still have a lot to do. Is this place bug enough? A thought struck me but I must not tell Sasuke. It'll be my little secret. I grin at my evil conscience. Sasuke hates surprise but wait until he sees what I have planned.

"What are you thinking?" He asked in suspicion,

"Nothing," I reply innocently,

"You're smiling from ear to ear," he said, doubtful of my answer,

"I do that all the time," I explain,

"Well . . . Yeah but this is somehow . . . Different . . . Are you planning something?"

Damn him and that special ability of his.

"I'm so untrustworthy" I chuckle as I place a rough kiss on his mouth in hopes to distract him . . . Which failed miserably. He turned his head away and began to interrogate me with questions so I ran to the bed room. The next few hours were filled with Sasuke demanding answers and me laughing at the small distrust he had in all of my answers

We're going to be just fine . . . I hope.
