Mylene Loved Ivan she really did but if there was one thing she didn't like was how he treated her like she was made of glass, like the slightest inconvenience was the end of the world, she scraped her knee and had to talk him down from calling an ambulance, it was great that he cared sure but it was a little overbearing, though perhaps she hadn't helped the situation she did tend to be easily frightened still she'd resolved to try and prove that he didn't need to treat her like a porcelain doll.

As expected on their date Ivan was walking on eggshells around her and as usual it was beginning to grate on her nerves, Mylene was not someone who got annoyed easily but even she had her limits and today it was Ivan pulling her out of the way to prevent her from walking through the smallest puddle you'd ever seen. "Ivan, I know you're only trying to help but I don't need you to do all this for me"

A certain Feline had overheard that, he overheard a lot out on patrol like this, it didn't really count as eavesdropping if he helped out right? Though still he'd remain out of sight for now.

"Do what?" Ivan asked, a little confused by what she said though there was a hint of concern to his tone, had he done something wrong?

"Well, like just then, I'm not going to die if I stand in a puddle. You didn't need to help." Mylene explained, though judging from the look on Ivan's face he didn't get it. "Or the other week when I tripped, it hurt sure, but I didn't need you to carry me."

"So, you don't want me to help you?" Ivan questioned; he didn't really like the sound of that. "I'm not sure I could do that."

"No, you can help me if I ask for your help but otherwise just assume I'm okay" Mylene sounded somewhat meek. She didn't really like confrontations and she could tell this was awkward for the both of them.

"Alright well I'll try but I sort of do it without thinking, I just want to make sure you're alright." He didn't exactly sound happy about it, but he agreed and that was something.

"And I love you for that, but it's a little much" Mylene tried to comfort him, but he tried to assure her he was fine.

"I love you too, and I'll try my best. I should really get going." Ivan waved before heading home he was a little worried. He had to stop treating her like she was fragile, but he wasn't sure he could. Fortunately, he had the best superhero in town in his corner.

Ivan sighed audibly as he slumped against one of the trees in the park however when he opened his eyes, he was face to face with Chat Noir hanging upside down from one of the branches which understandably made him jump. "When did you get here!?" Ivan yelled a little louder than he meant to in surprise.

"Pretty recently but I did hear that sigh, trouble with your girlfriend?" Chat asked, acting Oblivious.

"How did you- " Ivan began to ask before being cut off.

"When you're a love master like me, you've seen a broken heart for every star in the sky I can spot it a mile off" Chat replied dramatically as he leaned against the tree, clearly trying to act cool.

"How are you a love master? Everyone in Paris knows you've been reflected by Ladybug hundreds of times." Ivan pointed out shattering the superhero's ego.

"How very cruel" Chat replied in mock offence but that had legitimately caught him off guard, still he was Minotaurox no surprise he had horns. "Though from the look of you, you aren't doing much better yourself."

"Well... you're not wrong, Mylene said I need to be less protective of her, but I can't help myself. She's just so small and fragile, whenever I see her struggling, I just want to help her out." Ivan began to ramble before being interrupted by Chat Noir.

"Shhh, I get it you just want to help her out, but it sounds to me like you don't have much faith in Mylene." Chat replied slyly, intentionally trying to provoke the young man.

"What? of course I do how could say tha-" Ivan began before being cut off by Chat once again.

"If that's the case then prove it. Next time you're on a date with your darling Mylene don't do anything unless you're asked, or if that's too hard ask her if she needs help before you do anything" Ivan felt like he was being lectured but Chat was right of course

"Alright well I'll try my best" Ivan didn't sound entirely confident but Chat was sure he'd make an effort and Mylene would appreciate that at least. Ivan took his leave and Chat waved him goodbye before turning to leave himself only to freeze when he saw Marinette on the other side of the park

Chat's brain told him to leave but he found himself stuck in place and it just got worse when she noticed him, she waved of course and he waved back it was only polite manners after all then she motioned for him to come over and he meant to deny he really did but his hand didn't listen and he unconsciously gave a thumbs up, he couldn't ditch her now he'd already agreed.

"Hello Purincess, nice to see you again" Chat did his best to act normal around her but it came off as forced and awkward. "That didn't work at all did it?" Chat asked, earning a laugh from the young girl, how come she could act normal?

"Yeah, it was a little awkward but don't worry about it, I wasn't sure what to say to you either" Marinette admitted which actually made him feel a little better, it wasn't just him. "So, you didn't really answer me yesterday, why are you giving love advice Chat?"

"Well, I sort of did tell you, but I guess it was a little vague. My love life is a sinking ship and I figured it was time to abandon it for the time being, but as I'm sure you know I love a good romance; I might not be able to have that, but I can still help other people with there's" Chat's explanation didn't seem logical to Marinette but it did sound very Chat Noir, of course he'd do something like this.

"Are you sure that you're the right guy to give romantic advice?" Marinette asked in a playful tone.

"Ivan said the same thing but I'm two for two so far. I gave I got Kim to be honest about his feelings for Ondine and I helped Juleka think of a birthday present for Rose" Chat defended, he was pretty good at this so far.

"Wasn't helping Juleka, more me than you?" She sort of had a point there but Chat wouldn't concede that.

"oh, contraire mon soeur, Juleka wouldn't have thought to go to you without my advice but I'm willing to count that as an assist for you." Chat admitted only causing Marinette to roll her eyes which was perhaps the reasonable response.

"Well I'm sure I don't need to tell you this but, be careful, love is complicated, and you don't want to make things worse."

"When did you get so wise, maybe you can be a love master like me someday" Chat boasted, Marinette simply groaned in response playfully punching him in the shoulder.

"Not in your wildest dreams kitty, I'll see you later Alright?" Marinette said with a wave before heading home.

Chat had to admit he felt relieved, talking to Marinette hadn't been as awkward as he'd anticipated, things seemed pretty normal between them like it hadn't even happened.

Adrien headed home not long after Marinette dropping his transformation a few blocks away and going straight to his room once he was home.

"Kid the way you've been acting the past few days is Cheesy even by my standards you I don't know how you can say lines like that with a straight face" Plagg teased but Adrien could tell he wasn't being malicious.

"Maybe but it seems to be working so far, right? Though I won't know if I've helped Ivan until his next date with Mylene and who knows when that is." Adrien didn't sound too concerned Ivan might not be the brightest guy in the world, but he had a good heart he'd do his best.

Over the next few days Ivan did indeed try his best to treat Mylene like she was a little more capable only giving her a hand when she asked him and this didn't escape her notice things seemed to be going well, which Adrien took note of.

Just as Marinette got home for the day, she found a note in her room that looked as if it had been slipped through her window which simply read 'Three for Three' with a drawing of a Cat, she could swear she recognised that handwriting, but she wasn't sure where from.

"Dumb Cat" She thought aloud before starting on her homework.
