"ELLIOT!" roared a young female's voice. "HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I TOLD YOU NOT TO TURN THE RADIO OFF, WHEN I'M LISTENING TO IT! DON'T YOU KNOW THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO ME!"
"Well now that my ear drums have burst, can you, PLEASE BE QUIET!" the man roared. "And you shouldn't be listening to the radio it's not important this job is important."
"Look Elliot I know we are all still Mew's but we haven't had to fight a predacyte for 6 months don't you think we ought to have a break? I mean Renee's studying really hard to complete 12th grade and Kikki's trying to manage her brothers and sister and get a good spot for high school, and it seems there's not going to be any predacytes for a long time to come, so we all should focus on our personal lives for a while" Zoey finished.
"I know you all have really important times in your lives at the moment but it is important, just in case, to stay here ready for a surprise attack, now I want you all to go home and have a fresh start tomorrow morning" Elliot said dismissing the girls form their duties.
"Argh!" Zoey screamed and kicked a rock and hit somebody on the head.
"Ouch! Who the hell?" the person said. The person said. The person stood up and turned around to reveal himself. It was Mark. Suddenly Zoey felt like an idiot.
"Oh I'm so sorry Mark I didn't see you there! Oh! You probably think I'm an idiot, but also a freak, oh wait maybe I am an idiot and a freak…" Zoey mumbled.
As Zoey mumbled Mark came up to her and hugged her tight, this made Zoey stop.
" I don't think you're any of those" Mark said.
"Oh, you don't? Anyway what are you doing here?" Zoey asked.
"Oh…me…I…um, needed, some…uh…fresh…uh, air, that's it fresh air" Mark stuttered.
"Oh well, ok! Well I gotta get going, see you!" Zoey said trying to prance off but got stopped by Mark.
"Oh no you don't, I'm walking you home" Mark demanded.
"Oh, ok…" Zoey said sounding confused but happy grabbing Mark's arm tight.
"Hmm…I wonder what Elliot meant when he said 'surprise attack'? Oh well better be on guard. Oh…oh, don't see me I'll go all blushy again, god damn it Renee you stopped right in front of him you idiot! Now quick think of something smart to say" Renee thought.
"Oh, Hi David" Renee said shyly.
"Hi Renee, want to walk home together? I just finished listening to your latest song, 'A Man Like You' very deep. Is it about someone you know?" David asked.
"Um, I don't know, but I do want it to be about someone" Renee answered.
Renee suddenly went bright red as David linked his arm in hers.
