Notes: Everyone enjoys a night watching the stars and Loona and Octavia talk about life. I loved describing the human forms of Octavia and Blitzo.

"So what's on the agenda today my owlette?" Stolas asked.

Octavia finally had started making breakfast for herself.

"I've always wanted to go see the stars you talked about all those years ago," Octavia said before sitting down at the table. "But...you know how that ended up." She looked down solemnly.

"Right."

There was an awkward silence between them.

"Buuttt there is a meteor shower that's going to occur in the human realm quite soon."

"There is?!" Octavia exclaimed, slamming the milk carton she held on the table.

"Yes! We could make a day of it! We would just have to be in our disguises in case any humans so happen to set afoot."

It was decided then. The group would have a night out in the human realm together, Stolas, Octavia, Blitzo and Loona.

They traversed to the human realm later that night, close to the best spot for the meteor shower. It was a remote area up on a cliff, somewhat away from civilization, near an offshoot highway next to a forest.

They hid in the forest, ready to disguise themselves. Stolas and Loona were already in their human forms.

"You know I have never seen either of your human forms so this will be a new experience for all of us," Stolas said grimoire in hand, pointing back and forth at Octavia and Blitzo.

With a wave of Stolas's hand, in a spectacle of magic laden with the colors of the cosmos, Blitzo and Octavia had transformed.

Octavia looked, quite frankly, like your average scene kid. She had the same lithy body as before. Her teased black hair, shoved inside a beanie like always, draped down to the middle of her back and contrasted with her pale complexion. She wore simple eyeliner, a pair of striped arm sleeves, a tee shirt for the band F*ck You Dad, a pair of black ripped skinny jeans and a pair of worn slip-on sneakers.

"Oh Octavia you look simply delightful !"

"Daaaddd," Octavia groaned, trying to hide her face with her beanie.

Stolas then turned his attention to Blitzo and oh my word.

He was of relatively average build, if a bit lanky. His complexion was a medium chestnut, with patches of ivory dotting various parts of his body. He had jet black hair in a messy short mullet. He wore black fingerless gloves, a worn red graphic tee, ripped black skinny jeans, black chunky boots and topped it off with his favorite worn-in leather jacket.

"You look... amazing," Stolas commented, completely stunned.

The group made their way out of the woods and over to their spots for the meteor shower. Octavia and Loona rushed toward the edge of the cliff while Stolas and Blitzo sat further back, closer to the empty road.

"Have fun you two," Blitzo said, waving goodbye as they split off.

"Come on, I think we'll have fun as well, don't you think?" Stolas said, linking arms with Blitzo.

"Yeah, I guess that's a bit of a given," Blitzo responded.

Oh shit did he just say that out loud?

"I-uh yeah, I think we'll enjoy ourselves," he stumbled over his words.

A stray shooting star made its way across the sky.

"Oh it's about to start," Stolas commented excitedly.

The two began looking up at the night sky. First one star, then another and another painted along the canvas that was the darkness of the night until it was completely aglow with stars.

"It's beautiful !" Octavia beamed in childlike wonder.

"Yeah, it's a shame we don't get this type of thing in the demon realm," Loona responded, looking over at her.

A sudden chill blew over the two of them.

"I should've brought a jacket with me," Octavia shivered, starting to curl her body up.

"We could share," Loona said, showing the fur-lined jacket she was wearing.

"At least you came prepared."

The two nestled closer together as Loona draped the jacket over their bodies.

"Kinda sucks not having my fur right now," Loona commented.

"Hehe, same here. Having my feathers would be nice," Octavia laughed.

"You always liked the stars?"

"Yeah, ever since I was an owlette." Octavia brushed her hair out of her face. "My dad would always tell me about the cosmos, he even made up a lullaby for me," she chuckled. "You know, even if he can be a bit embarrassing sometimes, I still love him, a lot more than mum."

"What would she do?"

"She was fighting with him a lot, yelling and throwing things. I always tried to ignore it. I stayed in my room a lot."

"Yeah, parents are complicated."

The wind started to whip around again. Octavia and Loona pulled the jacket closer as they moved even closer to one another.

"Hey come on, try not to rip this thing," Loona joked.

"Y'know, I dunno how to feel about Blitzo. I love him, but I don't really know how to express that. I never had that chance before."

She sighed.

"I didn't really get love for most of my life. I was stuck with a bunch of other asshole hellhounds treating me like shit. So I learned to push them away. Then one day, before I aged out of the system, he picked me out of everybody else."

She took a cigarette from the pack stashed away in her jacket pocket and started to flick away at her lighter for a spark while Octavia looked over. She lit the cigarette and took a drag.

"I'm trying to quit," she laughed.

The pair looked back up at the show going on in the night sky.

Blitzo and Stolas were looking up at the display before them.

"It's such a beautiful sight to see," Stolas said in awe.

"It really is," Blitzo responded.

He looked over at the pair in front of them sharing Loona's jacket.

"Heh, what do you think they're talking about?"

"Most likely about life and the stars. I feel like that's always a topic that's landed upon."

"You think they're happy?"

"Of course Blitzy, why wouldn't they be?"

"You're right, I worry about them too much."

The two watched in stunned silence at the display in the night sky.

"This is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen," Blitzo said.

"Yeah," Stolas said, looking at Blitzo.

The group met back up in the woods again once the show had ended.

"It's a shame you can't be in this disguise all the time, Blitzy," Stolas said, pinching Blitzo's cheek.

"Yeah, yeah, just change us back before we head home."

Stolas waved his hand and in a swirl of magic they transformed back into their demonic selves before returning to the palace through a portal.

"Goodnight you two," Stolas said, bowing his regards to Blitzo and Loona before they were whisked away back to their own abode.
