Pyllis could not find sleep. It was not uncommon, but this time, she didn't find out why. Maybe the news Eligos gave them, or the strange fain shaking she felt earlier, but she didn't manage to close her eyes.

Maybe a little walk won't hurt. She get out of her bed, leave the room and was about to open the entrance door when she saw something past the gap.

Light ?But we are in the middle of the night, don't we ? She slowly open the door, before discovering that they were in a total unknow location.

In a secret bulding merged in a mountain, where a tall and half naked muscular man was training with a sword made of purposely heavy material, he had sweats all over his body, but his exotic hairdressing was still perfect just stopped his doing. His stare was thoughfull, as if something disturbed him. A black haired girl with red eyes approached him, with the same look.

"Did you feel it too?"

"Yes. It's like something supernatural disappeared as fast as it popped. I don't know what it is, but I hope it's not something too dangerous."

"I bet we are not the only peoples who feel it. The ones in the empire must too." Both of them looked far away, with a mixt of doubt and fear.

Night Raid was indeed not the only who had that strange feeling. Inside the throne room, the great general Budo looked over a window, thinking.

"Great general, is there a problem ?" The little emperor asked.

"No, nothing your majesty" the blonde man replied.

Outside of the capital, the same was for a gril with black hair and eyes, munching a cookie. Unlike others, she didn't paying much attention, as she had a fixed mission, a personnal one.

Eligos was sitting on a chair with a harder look. How things could change like that ? Not later than yesterday, things were mostly fine, but now? Nothing made any sense.

After Pyllis called him for an emergency, Eligos was annoyed, but mostly worried by her face, after verifying what nonsense she was saying, he now must face the truth:

The base had changed place.

But how? How did a litteral building could just change place like that ? But no time for him to find an answer. Firstly, he awoke everyone, explained very briefly the situation and ordored Cidd and Coli to scrutinized the perimeter, Pyllis to look after the surrounding and Haste to stay here. After all, it was day time, and sunlight didn't fit well for vampires. After a while, the trio came back with a frown.

"So, what did you found ?" Eligos asked.

"It's like Pyllis said, the surrounding are totally different from the ones we know" Coli replied.

"It's like, no. We were teleported to another totally different place. The question is, why and mostly, who?" Cidd said, stillnot believing what he said"

Eligos rubbed his chin "Hmm, for why, I don't know, but I maybe have an idea of who, or rather, what".

"What do you mean ?" Haste asked at the doorstep.

"When I was at Taranor, I heard some rumors about stranges phenomena. Some peoples dissapeared and reappeared in a totally different place instantly. If I remember well, they call it 'chaos gate', even peoples from others world came in Orbis"

"And you think it's one of these chaos gate which transported us here ?"

"But boss didn't just said it transported peoples ? In our case, it's the entire building which was affected" Pyllis remarked.

"Good point Pyllis, maybe it was a special one" Eligos nodded.

"How lucky for us" Cidd deadpanned.

"Anyway, what did you discover ?"

"The surrounding are mostly trees and grass, similar to before our transportation" Coli explained

"And no kind of people or monsters nearby" Cidd finished.

"What now boss ?" Haste asked.

"Knowing how chaos gate work, being discreet is probably the best thing to do. Unfortunately, we can't know when another one will appear and mostly where. No one could say if our base will be affected again. We can't stay hidden eternaly, and we must gather as much informations than we !"

"Yes!"

"You come with me, we will found if there is a city or any civilisations. Haste, you will stay here and protect the base. Cidd and Coli will go deeper in the forest to investigate. Remember, if you see people, try to not be remarked and don't cause trouble. We will gather here when night come. Understood ?"

"Understood" His crew replied.

"Then, let's go !"

The members of Night raid made a meeting about the feel they all feel without exception. Even those who infiltrated the capital were called. They were all silent, waiting for their boss, who was puffing in her cigar, to speak.

"I don't think I must explain why I called all of you?"

"Everyone felt it, right ? Personally I don't know what it is, but it can only be bad ? " The boy with green hair Lubbock asked

"Maybe a trick from the empire ? Or a teigu ?" Akame suggested, but her boss Najenda shook her head.

"No, I don't think so. If it's the use of a teigu then I would be able to recognise it, but I can't identify what's the cause, or even what kind of ability can do whatever what object this is"

"I hope the empire would not take hand on it, if that's the case..." Sheele said, worried

"Then we might be in big trouble" Bulat finished.

"So we must hurry. Disperse yourself and solved this mystery." Najenda ordored.

"Yes!"

Eligos and Pyllis stood on a cliff, where the sight of the immense capital was difficult to miss. For obvious reason of discretion, thry choose to look more 'normal'. Pyllis removed her foulard and her hood, letting her long brown hair going down her back and her smooth face being seen. She hid her sword and her shield inside her clothing, now she look more like a teenage. It was more difficult for Eligos, not only because all of his clothes look like mafia leader, but also because his stature was quite impressive, he was tall and his arms had visible muscles, but he did at best. He wore a shirt open on the top, removed his gloves and his pants were cheaper.

"This is a big city" Pyllis stated.

"Indeed, from there it can be easy to find informations, but impossible to enter with these walls. We will enter by the front door" Eligos said.

"But guards may keep the entrance from intruders, and it's not like we have any passport to allow us to enter" Pyllis remarked, she turned toward Eligos, who smirked "Euh...boss ?"

"Don't forget who are we, Pyllis. Even in the daytime, we are the most fearful assassins ever. Also, it will be a good warm up for me" Eligos stretched his arms.

Pyllis eyes wided by what he said "Wait! You-"

"Heh, where did I started, child ? I was already an assassin when I was not older than Haste" Eligos smiled proudly "I suggested you to not underestimate me".

Pyllis now sparkled with excitation I can't believe I will see boss in action! I wonder what face Cidd and Coli will make.

They approached the main road where they encountered a carriage which wanted to enter too. When it arrived, they were surprised to see the guards doing their job lazily. After 'verifying' the carriage, Eligos and Pyllis, who was hiding at the other side, not allowing the one who was ckecking to see them, it was quite big, so even the boss of Dagger Sicar had no problems, the other one just stood here, yawning. Just after it was done, they discreetly entered inside.

After the carriage entered the capital and making sure nobody was watching them, Eligos and Pyllis exited in a not very visited alley. From there, the massive castle stood just in the center, towering high in the sky. The walls were even more impressive when inside. It could give the impression of secure, or imprisonment, depending on the person, but for the two assassins, it was the latter.

"Whoa! This is juge!" Pyllis exclaimed.

"Don't let you impress, we have much to do, and not a lot of time" Eligo said as they traveled the capital.

In the forest, Cidd and Coli were on top of trees, why? Because there was creatures none of ther recognised, looking like oversized wolfs with sharper features. They could not kill them, because someone found the corpses, they could have a trail, since the HQ wasn't very far away.

"Won't they go away ? I'm tired of hiding here" Cidd complained

"Stop barking ! If there is so many of them, then we may approach a herd. Maybe worse."Coli responded with a frown.

"Maybe du to the chaos gate, but if they continued to advanced, then we won't have much choice. But for now, let's just continue" Cidd said as the both of them parted from their hideout.

"Hey! You think boss will be alright ?" Cidd asked.

"Why? Are you worried for him?" Coli turned her gaze upon him.

"Pff, no! Of course not. It's just as long as I can remember, I didn't see him in action." Cidd responded.

"You worried too much for him. He's not our boss for nothing" Coli said with a smirk, already proud for whatever Eligos can do.

Guess dogs are always worried for their owner. That was what Cidd wanted to say, but that was not the moment, they had a job.

Unfortunately, the researches were not fruitfull. Instead of the pack they meet, trees, roots and rocks, there was nothing interesting.

Cidd scratched the back of his head "I can't believe we found nothing."

"It don't really surprise me" Coli replied "Running randomly in the forest is not exactly the best idea to find something, but it's not like we have much choice".

"Plus, with the leafs, it's getting dark, and really difficult to see anything. Guess it's time to leave"

"Agree. Let's go home" Coli nodded as they departed.

At the same time, Haste was waiting on one of the walls, munching a gum. The shadows allowing him to move more freely. It was not like the sun would turn him into ashes, but it greatly reduced his abilities. And in a unknow and potentially dangerous place, it was logical Eligos chose him over the others to keep the guard, so it didn't mind him. He stopped doing his things when he heard a faint bush. He stopped doing his things and pointed his scythe toward the sound.

"Wow Wow, calm down, Presto. It'm me" Cidd quickly went out of thebushed, hands up, Coli behind him. Realising who it was, Haste ('Presto' by Cidd) posed his weapon on his shoulder. During all this time, his face didn't change. Some times after, Eligos and Pyllis arrived. The boss ordored them to enter to summarize their discoveries.

Once inside, Eligos took seat, taking a glass of red wine "Let's begin with Cidd and Coli, what did you discovered ?"

"Unfortunately, not so much" Cidd said with a hint if shame, same for Coli "That forest is so big, with two of us alone, it will be very difficult, if not impossible to find something, even by luck."

"But things are not better, boss. We discovered a bunch of monsters nearby. Judging by their movment, they're getting closer and closer from us. Cidd and I suggested it may be because of the chaos gate, but we are not sure. We didn't go very far to not attract any attention, sorry for that" Coli said, bowing in apologie at the end.

Eligos nodded, taking a sip of his glass "It's okay for that. Regarding to I and Pyllis, we found a large city surrounded by thicc walls and a large castle in the middle. It's like we found ourself in a sort of kingdom. By it's size, it must be an influent city, or even a capital."

Pyllis continued" The city seems to be divided in multiples parts. The more we approched the center, the more peoples are wealthier. From where we started, the things looks decent enough, but we found something."

"The difference was astounish. Despite being hidden, if we are a little curious, the poor side are very visible. People dargged themself, the habitations are on the verge of crumbling, and their look are devoided of any life" Eligos said, noticing the frown and angry look on Cidd's eye. "But more importantly, look at that" He show a piece of paper fuul of text and a portrait. "By luck, this kingdom talk and write the same language than we does, but look at this" He give the paper to Haste, who speak.

"Wanted! Akame from Night raid. Dead or alive."

Cidd approached the paper in curiosity "She's in a group of assassins ? We have concurrence, but of course they don't stood a chance"

"We must be careful, like Cidd said, there is other assassins on the run or any other kind of group. They can attack us at any time, anywhere, and we don't know how strong these peoples can be here. So by prudence, if you crossed them, don't fight. Privilege retreat and make them lost you in sight, make sure they can't follow you." Eligos said

"Yes !" Everyone responded

"Also, you spoke about a large pack of wolves, right ?"

"That's right" Coli said "If they continued at the same direction, then they will be here only in few days"

Eligos sighed "Then we don't have choice. We willtake care of them swiftly. Coli, Pyllis and Haste, you will go after them. Cidd, you will go to the city and continue researches

"Understood" The eye patched man replied

"Then go!"

Speaking of Night raid, several members were against a huge snake like Danger Beast. The monster was on the ground, dead, while the assassins were more surprised than anything. Mine lowed her weapon "W-What the hell was that?"

Bullat reverted back his Incursio "This type of Danger Beast usually don't come in this zone."

"That was scary !I though I will die !" Lubbock screamin, hands on his eyes.

"Moreover, it was not in its normal state, like it was concerned by something."

"Like that strange sensation ?"Sheele wondered

"Likely. And I bet this thing is not the only one. The area must be infested now."

Bulat said.

"Great. What I love the most" Mine groaned
