Drago's Arquebusiers

Drago's Arquebusiers all had one thing in common with each other between the Slavic, Sami, Inuit, Asiatic, Equatorial and Mongolian factions of the northern army: all of them wore nose covering cowls, lower shin covering battleskirts with a loincloth in the front of their belts, the shooting hand that held the triggers were covered with a glove with the other being exposed as they're the ones that hold the body of the arquebuses, belts and bandoliers holding an lot of Zippleback gas capsules to fire the weapon, and melee weapons for close quarters combat to stand out among the others. Even though each of them wore many different helmets along with hats, these soldiers had their own individual helmets and hats themselves to stand out a lot more to show that Drago Bludvist trained them to kill Drayko and his tribe made of dragon riders; while leaving the dragons unharmed as the dead ones are no use to him. All six tribes of the army of the north were as followed down below:

Slavic Arquebusiers wore leather strip iron spherical helmets with a dark golden nasal guard which started out with a square shaped tip on either side, curving up before sloping down to the middle where there was a tri-flanged inverted trapezoid shape as the nasal strip formed a beaking tipped oval leaf shape; the surrounding skirt being made of chainmail with leather overlaying it for insulation from cold winds so as to protect their ears. The top of the helmet sloped upward into a conical and rounded edged vertical cylinder shape, which had formed a short horizontal cylindrical shaped base as the middle was a vertical triangular shaped cone in that it had a flat surface on top; also having a teardrop shaped oval on top with another and at last final horizontal flat surface rectangular shaped disc that was a little bit taller than the last one, being tipped with a backwards facing furball that had forked tails flowing from behind to go along with the Slavic theme of a helmet worn by them. There was a leather beltstrap which secured the helmet under the chin and came on the left and the right side, being fastened with a kind of extremely short tail so it couldn't stick out. It is a fact that these arquebus wielding soldiers of Drago's Army had square tiled leather armor and lamellar scales helped to reinforce them, but the circular crest on the front remained as along with having square tiled loincloths on the front that hung underneath the inner belt; this kind had inverted trapezoid pavise shield shaped bracers and drooping kite shield shaped greaves that clasped around, along with wearing some clothing underneath the armor to protect their otherwise exposed arms from attacks by melee or projectile weapons.

Sami Arquebusiers wore vertical cylindrical shaped hats with a fur edge going around as well as two ushanka-like ear flaps on either side, leaving the back of the head exposed. The hat is decorated with a triangular pattern on the bottom line on top of the fur edge with a stripe on the lower side of the thicker one going around, the center which was the thick stripe having a diamond pattern that went all around with four circles on each of the four tilted square shape diamond tips; along with a thin horizontal on the top and bottom of the diamond pattern, the top also having one underneath the upper triangular shaped pattern that went around. These hats had a braided tail that ended with a spherical shaped ball of fluff on the bottom, there's one on each side for the left and the right. Coming in a dark blue to a yellow and red color for the patterns, but also coming in the golden yellow and grey blue variations of the regular one as well; the regular ones being the Sami faction soldiers. It's no surprise that they're wearing short drooping circular shaped overcoats, along with them being laid over the shoulders and arms for warmth; keeping true to the colors of the warm clothing worn by the Sami trappers. Their lower shin covering battleskirts were either normal or inverted colored with their cold environment clothing they wore, their loincloths were the same T-letter shaped loincloths at the front and back like most of the Dragon Trappers in the southern regions. Their clothes are long sleeved enough as it was and stayed that way even in the warmer locations, and for the record those were shawls to be exact that were worn above their torso to cover the shoulders and arms alike

Asiatic Arquebusiers wore hexagon quilted cushioned skirt helmets that went around each of their heads which was edged off with a Chinese styled sea pattern outline, their forehead is a horizontal rectangular shaped headband with a upper half circular shape on the top center; of which was studded twice on the left and right sides as there was a spherical shaped cap as it's consisting of two sections, horizontally around with a singular stud in the middle for both the left and right sides and vertically overhead with a rectangular shaped flat cap as the top had a dual-bident shaped fork which was laid in front of the headband as the tips sloped up into an sharp end like the helmets of the Slavic soldiers. There was an horizontal rectangular shaped piece that acted as a face cover for extra protection which had a circular shape on the bottom side in the center, also protecting the chin and lower sided cheeks as well. The front also had a downward beaking tip stripe with the sides being overlaid with a lamellar skirt going round which was laced with three horizontal rectangular shaped scaled strips from top to bottom, it even had a chinstrap that was tied underneath which slanted diagonally downwards; with the tie ending in a horizontal oval shape. Their lower shin covering battleskirts were reminiscent of square tiles that formed a lamellar style pattern while the loincloth in the front had an pair of downwards facing oval shaped loops on the left and right sides respectively, the front was like a drooping kite shield shape as there were two medium length rectangular shaped strips next to each other; as part of the appearance there was a vertical shaped banner underneath the kite shield shaped piece of loincloth armor. While there was one hand that was gloved as well as the other being exposed, for these soldiers their exposed hand was equipped with an fingerless glove; so as to not get burned when touching the ejected casing that was said to be hot when the shot was spent

Inuit Arquebusiers wore closed crown hunting helmets which had two animal designs that is going downwards along with the middle and the back having one sloping upward behind the helmet itself, all of them being carved into an animal commonly seen in the different people and tribes of the Inuit culture; for even the bad side of Siberia like this faction can carry on all the traditions of their origins as well. Their helmets were even kept hidden by the parkas but could no less be seen either way underneath, another thing is that they wore snow goggles in the outdoors but lacked these indoors as they hung around their necks; made of ivory, antler, bone, leather or wood as there were slits carved into them to diminish exposure to the direct and reflected sunlight outdoors because we often forget just how blindingly bright snow is in the day. The snow goggles dated back to over two thousand years ago and like before happen to be worn by the hunters of the Inuit peoples and tribes alike. Wearing the bone, antler and leather armor with their loincloths being in a similar fashion to the amauti coats worn by the women of the Inuits, these Arquebusiers however do not possess the same child carrier that was on the back that their female counterparts do; both of them were equal size in the front and the back sides, going down to their lower shins with battleskirts that wrapped around as part of the armor that they wore. Their closed crown helmets also included leather straps for the chin and a line of three beads with a fourth one on top of a ring as well as two bigger ones underneath, having a lower half spherical shape under the last one which hung from behind. Like the Sami faction, the Inuit faction in this northern army are experts in capturing dragons to expand the size of what Drago is envisioning in order to fuel his madness and lead on this conquest on the Archipelago; rising above the dragons themselves in order to free humanity from this scourge or so he had said on that night in Berk before the chiefs he slaughtered in response rejected his offer

Equatorial Arquebusiers wore maroon spherical shaped helmets with golden sun motifs that were on the sides with the front bearing a dual stacked triangular shape, as the top became a sharp and straight conical spike which stood out because of how the sides slanted up while it stood up and thinned out into a sharp tip at the top; the sides forming the twelve and sixteen bright and wavy rays that even had golden waves that formed into plunging wave shapes that went outward on either side, the sides of the middle even overarched into a thinning line of which resembled a rounded edged whip that was lashing out like the bits of seafoam which is splashing after crashing on the rocks jutting from the surface. The upper half spherical shaped cap also formed a slightly downwards sloping saucer kettle helm shape with a horizontal line, even bearing four-sided clover leaf shaped outlines with the top of each one having what is a triangular shaped barb for each side in between the mentioned shapes as part of the helmet; there was a large heater shield shaped ear flap on either side for the left and right, while the back was a square shaped flap which sloped upwards on either side as well curving into like a inward and upper left to right facing J-letter shaped edges. The top center of the helmet had a vertical conical shaped trapezoid spike that had a flat surface on top, which was the support pillar for the much taller conical triangular shaped spike; even the chinstraps that secured the helmet formed a rounded edged beaking heater shield shape outline too, there was even an strap that went underneath their covered ears and towards over to the back of the helmet. In the case of their battleskirts they had open front and back type sarongs worn by men that are layered with leather for insulation, and komodo dragon skins that were illegally obtained by poachers in the hopes of protecting themselves from some of the fire of the dragons they are seeking to capture on Drago's orders. Their loincloths consisted of sirat cawats that covers the front and the back as well, also bearing Philippine mirror plate armor for their exposed chests but not for their upper thighs in order to maintain mobility as well as sleeves for the cold and unforgiving temperatures; wearing brigandine armor underneath which is made of heavy cloth, cavas or leather that're lined internally with small oblong steel plates riveted to the fabric as sometimes these even had a second layer of fabric on the inside. Remember, these soldiers came from Indonesia hence why they're called the Equatorial faction, and keep in mind that their helmets were based on the Majapahits; a warrior from the empire of the same name as that too was on the mainland as back then it was called the island of Java so how could they go wrong, however, real Majapahits do not hunt dragons or join a madgod in his conquest of the Archipelago as these soldiers did come from the seedier part of the Equator

Mongolian Arquebusiers wore helmets that consisted of two rounded edged rectangle flaps for both of the ears that had scaled square shaped plating with raised rounded dome shapes in the middle for each one of them, both sides above them had a horizontal rectangle shape which sloped downwards on either side including the front which had the emblems of a pair of dragons stabbed through the serpentine like bodies; which aren't actually real species but for decoration purposes, that's all really. The center of the helmet was spherical in shape as well as bearing a short comb that was thin and went upwards towards the base; there was a horizontal rectangular shaped ring which was rounded edged on top and ran up to the base where the tassel was, it was more common to see on them than the Slavic faction and more associated with these soldiers than them for that matter. There was a short inverted rounded edged horizontal rectangular shaped bill at the lip of the top edge for the open faced helmet, which also featured a chinstrap like before as it covered the front and clasped around like it's a cup for the lower jaw. The front of the helmet included four singular studded leather strips that were studded on either side as the top was the shortest while the bottom is the longest, even having a long strip go around the top edge line of the helmet as well; even having a trio of feathers that stood up vertically at the short top leather studded strip as well. As for on the top center of the helmet it kept the vertical domical and spherical shape with a rounded edge onion roof shaped cap that all sloped up and met at the middle, forming an vertical trapezoid shaped tip that became a vertical cylinder shape as the tip at the top was a spherical shape in which was also small; at the top of the spherical shaped tip was a vertical cylindrical clasp that had a vertically ribbed pattern on the top and bottom edge rims, the base pattern being like a basket weaved carved pattern. The black tassel was slim as it was long which arched over the back of the helmet as it featured an down and backwards slanting segmented studded tasset behind to protect the back of the head, the tassel itself was nicely combed and slimmed into a half circular shape which appeared to be hooking upward at the end facing backwards all by slanting a little bit up. Their battleskirts included leather diamond pattern kilts that formed a teardrop shaped pattern with the lamellar scales as well as thigh tassets and two ringed tails, which drooped on either side of the open battleskirt design that also showed a thin diamond crossed outlined pattern in the front and the back. The loincloth was a downward facing and inverted triangular shape tipped heater shield like shape that bore the design of a war mask, as seen on their banners. Along with the Japanese, Mongols had access to gunpowder in the thirteenth century and even if it weren't hand cannons like the Ottoman Empire but instead fire lances which is the first firearm ever invented; they still had thunder crash bombs and of course flamethrowers from the Five Dynasties-Ten Kingdoms period called the fierce-fire oil cabinet, which was something from the Song dynasty as they're double-piston pump naptha flameshooting weapons. The Mongols ain't no joke when it comes to conquest and sieges in Asia, and neither are these arquebusiers

Drago's Arquebuses

It's no secret that Drago Bludvist was being helped by a traitor amidst the Archipleago, and it was because all these weapons that're being deployed for his men to attack Drayko and even his Knights would be all the more familiar to the chief of Draconia himself; the aftermath that came with driving out the Colonials of Columbus and taking over their fort, these weapons of their creation were burned in a pyre so that none of these could be used against dragons ever again. Using Zippleback Gas filled canisters to fire these rifle-held projectile weapons, as this usage of the two-headed dragon's gas was meant to be used for the spark to ignite them for a propulsion that can send the projectile loaded into the barrel fly out at lightning speed; going towards the target that would be grievously wounded by the impact that runs straight through. The kickstarting sparking mechanism used a sharp and flint razor blade to scrape against on a Gronckle Iron forged wheel that required winding it up backwards for three loops to prime, it makes sense that way as these weapons were slow and didn't have much range but delivered the power they needed to take out their enemies in the form of a handheld cannon. None of this mattered to Drago as there were improvements made to the wheellock type arquebuses in collaboration with the traitor, the one who extensively studied the remains of the ones of which were wielded by the renegades as they were recovered from the pyre once it cooled a bit from the cold wind and with a little bit of water to let some steam off. These ones kept an couple of elements from the original such as the great oak wood for the body, the Hawken to Whitney Kennedy based singular barrel at the front, the Winchester 1873 handguard up at the front which was primitively built so it's not all that modern looking; and the amalgamation for all the rifles that were mentioned, built from scrap and forged into this deadly looking son of a bitch. Having the horizontal triangular shaped stock, with two inward dome shapes from on the top and the bottom with a flattop at the end that had a inward gap for the underarm hook support with a long rectangular shaped trigger guard for the hand; including the knuckles for that matter too. The start of the handguard having a Mosin-Nagant style bolt-action charging handle that was flipped over to the back side in order to rewind the wheellock backwards, as the metallic cartridge shells were also ejected like an actual bolt-action rifle for one shot and one kill. Being stout in thickness with a short to a medium size in length, using a wheellock to fire the weapon as mentioned before. All this was used for the skeleton of the arquebuses, it was entirely different from the ones used by the Colonials of Columbus

Now for what makes this arquebus different from the ones used by the colonial renegades. It had a forward and inner facing scalene triangular shaped stock which was tilted upwards, as it a sloping edge that went down a little before slanting up to the flat horizontal rectangle edge that went across towards the end of the barrel. The front and back sides of the stock featured three black markings as the top one went across forming the same shape as the back, while it formed a rounded edged left facing scalene triangular shape; the bottom left underneath had a upper right tilting horizontal rectangular shape that seemed to thin out a little bit at the end while the lower right side was a thin horizontal rectangular shape, being situated on a square whose left side curved upward with a diagonally upward trapezoid shaped tip on the top. The top line was slanting upward as the upper right side had a black square, that looked like some sort of square which was above a slightly downwards tilting silver cylindrical shape that was a bit next to the top black line. The bottom of the light brown square with a trapezoid tip even featured a slim horizontal trapezoid shape as it slanted down on the left side underneath, it's next feature was some iron plating as the previous shape mentioned before featured a kind of small scalene triangular shaped tip; which formed an circular shaped scoop as it diagonally slanted upward to form a inverted scalene triangular shaped tip. The rest of the iron grey part of the wheellock arquebus rifle's reinforced plating had a vertical rectangular shape going up, that was the left side as the right side continued with the bottom having an vertical rectangle which curved into a upper left quarter circular shaped scoop; the center formed into what the underarm handguard in the halfway section as it went forward, before curving overhead into a upper right quarter half shape as it continued to go towards the barrel. The inner barrel was rifled so the spinning bullet-cartridge projectile loaded inside could be stabilized in flight. On the top there was a reinforced iron roof that covered the top towards the end of the barrel as it featured a short vertical line that went down a slight bit, before slanting downwards to the lower right side and going horizontally over where it slanted downwards right as it sloped up into a rounded edged top; continuing over into a horizontal line that was straight with the tip at the end forming a inverted trapezoid shaped tip. The wheellock in the middle featured an outline with a circular shaped boss in the center, the top of it having a overhead curving line; the tip forming a scalene triangular shape on the left while the right had a slanted rectangular shape as the top of it was a slim inverted triangular shaped tip on the top. There was another black horizontal rectangular shaped line that went across for a short time which ended with a diagonally lower right side oval shaped tip, while the left side had an lower oval shape as the top featured a horizontal flattop on both sides of the arquebus rifle; there was a slim plate as it was a horizontal rectangular shape that also slanted upwards sharply, ending with a Y-letter shaped tip as the left and right tips slanted offward to both sides as the middle formed a kind of left overhead beaked tip as it held the razor bladed flint at the end as it was the left tip all this time. The handguard for the arquebus rifle started out with a inverted scalene triangular shape that was facing forward with a horizontal rectangular shaped bar going across, another vertical rectangular shaped bar that went down as it sloped underneath before it horizontally continued towards the back; with a vertical rectangular bar that went down and curved into the bottom as the back of the horizontal bottom bar started to slope downwards into an oval shaped tip that was vertical on one half like it was a curling fancy doorknob of the sort. Under the main barrel was a secondary barrel with a thick rifle ramrod which are used for muskets in the colonial times, this was merely a decoration in that matter. The trigger happened to be an amalgamation of the Nepalese Gahendra Martini-Henry, the Burnside Carbine guards and the McClean-Lissak Automatic Rifle; with the middle one being in a ring shape as it didn't change the overall shape of the handguard itself, nor did the latter either as the former was on top of the regular handguard but still retained the entire shape. The extractor for the cartridges that were loaded and ejected after being spent was based on a German Kar98K WWII with an kind of special controlled feed, as the metallic cartridge is engaged by the bolt as soon as it leaves the magazine; this prevents jamming in challenging situations like when the rifle is flipped in a upside down position. There were grooves for the guard along with a wooden board so the wielder can be helped in supporting the finger to ensure it doesn't go around for discomfort. It was not only a thick arquebus which is thicker than the ones used by the renegades who've harassed Native Americans in the name of their hero Christopher Columbus, but it was also a longer weapon than them because it was essentially a Afghan Jezail Musket; all thanks to the stock itself as there was a leather stitch-edged padded overlay along with a spherical shaped ball on the front to help stand the arquebuses so it doesn't get scratched. Along with a special plating that sloped down along the upper side of the stock, as either side had a short top and long bottom L-letter shape iron plating shape going backwards and inwards to the stock; with a third one going out horizontally in the middle to the last one which vertically went up, and over around to the other side. There were iron sights made of a dual vertically stacked and a rectangular shaped plate with a third thinner one on top, having three horizontal trapezoid-shaped blocks that formed the three-dot iron sight system to help in accuracy for sniping all those Dragon Riders that're interfering with their affairs. The handguard had a thick vertical facing rectangular shaped block for the hand to grip onto while the other held onto the back, where the wheellock release trigger was. Because it had the Jezail rifle look it's also meant to rest against the cheek while hiding behind rock cover on high ground above the enemies, the trigger itself also had a rectangular shaped block beneath it; the bottom curved down under it before going back up; beaking down at the pointed tip into a forked shape which then curved back up backwards into the front on the back of the trigger guard itself. With the shape of the rifles it was long and straight while the back started sloping downward into a J-letter shape, it also went out a little bit with the added additions to the plating and the spherical shaped ball meant for standing it up without scratching the wood. Another thing about the Jezail and the reason for using the base is that they outranged the Brown Besses on three-hundred to four-hundred meters on point targets, the British who used those rifles were smoothbore and it's only a hundred to a hundred-fifty meters as it's an area fire weapon. The Afghans can pick off those troops singularly and individually in groups which was another thing to go against those soldiers, as they were fighting in mass columns and could not adapt to the way of war that all of their enemies were using to their fullest advantage. At last there was rope threads tied all around close to the barrel with a loop at the end as they carried six bell shaped tassels, with a square shaped gap behind having a seventh one that hung while from the start of the trigger-guard up to the second tassel; there was a rusted chain-like sling attached to the arquebuses, made of leather and cloth of course as the rifle itself like the Jezail had about four rings that circled the weapon's barrel just like that including around the start of the stock. How all the rounds were inserted was through breechloading from the back of the arquebus, acting as if it were a Ferguson as the excellent stopping power was remarkable on that rifle. This one is loaded with an jacketed semi-wadcutter hollow point-type sharpened conical tipped bullet-metallic cartridge shell for ammunition. Finally, these were all carried by Drago's men who're tasked with killing dragon riders but leaving their dragons untouched to add to his army; and even Drayko started to carry one himself as a souvenir and memento alongside his bullhook, to know the madman whom he killed with his own blade after his reasoning was shot down by him wanting to show that he is nothing in the face to the power of his Bewilderbeast
