Somehow she had convinced Emily to let her go see Charlie. Where else was safer than her Dad's house? Besides, there was always a Wolf within a few hundred feet of her anyways they always knew where she was. That was her argument anyways. Truthfully, she had to do something to keep the darkness from creeping under. Since her sun wasn't around, it seemed like a useless effort.
Pulling up to the house she noticed that Charlie's squad car was gone. She huffed and rested her head against the steering wheel before drawing her eyes up to stare at her old home. Her gaze drifted to her windowsill and a shudder ran through her at the memories of Edward climbing through it to watch her sleep.
It seemed as though everywhere she went there was some sort of memory painted across the front–except for the Rez. Her hand drifted up to push her damp hair from her face as the truck backed out from the driveway. The chirping of her phone made her jump and the truck lurched back as her foot left the brake. Slamming it back down she threw the truck into park while fumbling hands answered the call.
"Hey, Dad I was just headed back home, I stopped by but didn't notice that you were at work."
"Isabella." He said her name quietly, laced with a deadly greeting as it passed his undead lips.
She didn't say anything for a moment, just stared straight ahead at her father's house while tears welled up in her eyes. "W-What do you want, Edward? Where is my Dad? What did you do to him?"
"Chief Swan was just responding to a call out here…he said that he was coming to arrest me for kidnapping and assault. Is there any way that you can meet me so we can discuss some terms, it seems to be a misunderstanding,"
Her hands shook as her knuckles turned white against the steering wheel. 'Where am I going?"
"Ah, ah. First things first, I need you to get rid of your cell phone after we talk. I am assuming that there aren't any Wolves around?"
"N-no. I came alone."
"Good, Keep it that way, Alice will be at Newton's store, I would like for you to meet her there. Just to make sure that it's a public space and no other problems arise." She gulped in a breath of air and nodded. Running her hand through her hair, she listened. "You have ten minutes."
"Wait! How do I know that Charlie's okay? What do I get into? What is Alice driving?"
She heard him huff in annoyance before her father's gruff voice sounded over the speaker. "Bells? Don't come out here, it ain't worth it. I lost you once, I love you. It's okay." She heard a rough intake of breath before the dial tone rang in her ear.
She sat there for a moment, staring at the white siding of her house before she flung herself into action. She knew that it wouldn't be long before a member of the Pack was at Charlie's. Jacob never could let her out of his sight and she was so thankful for it now. She open the notes on her phone, typed out a message, and set it on the front steps before running back to her truck. She peeled out of the driveway and set towards Newton's.
It only had the camera inside, they didn't have a whole lot of money and the crime rate in Forks definitely wasn't high enough to warrant spending on outdoor cameras. But, besides that–she knew how important it was for the tribe to keep their secrets, and Newton's was close enough to town that a giant Wolf running through it would cause some questions.
Approximately eight minutes and forty-five seconds later, she arrived at the store. Throwing herself from the vehicle as her eyes scanned the lot. She didn't know why she had even asked. A black Volvo was sitting in the furthest parking spot from the store, tinted windows just light enough for her to make out Alice's pixie form in the front seat.
Tripping she stumbled forward, catching herself on the rough gravel of the parking lot before cold hands wrapped around her arms helping her up. "Bella. God, you can never walk anywhere without tripping and falling." Alice's musical voice rang in her ears, cringing she was brought upright. "You should have taken me up on my offer, things would have been so much easier." her eyes rolled dramatically and Bella stared at her.
Alice looped her arm through Bella's, dragging her to the car as though they were best friends out for a stroll. "Nobody would have gotten hurt, and there wouldn't have been all of the theatrics." She scoffed and threw her arm out dramatically, motioning before slapping it back down. Bella stopped in her tracks just enough for Alice to pause and turn towards her.
"I swear if you hurt Charlie.."
Alice raised her eyebrows at her before tugging her back to the car. She released her and motioned her head to the door as she climbed into the driver's seat. "Come on, he's waiting." She glanced down at her bloodied palms and wrapped them around the handle, smudging as much as she could over the side of the door before climbing in. Alice wrinkled her nose before handing her a scarf. "Please cover that up, I can't wait for you to be one of us so I don't have to keep smelling that god-awful temptation."
Perching a pair of sunglasses on her too still face she backed out of the parking spot and headed towards the outskirts of town. She watched the familiar rode pass by as she stared into the trees, imagining a Wolf running beside the car to save her. She didn't know if her plan would work, or if they would get to her in time, but she needed to make sure that she at least tried.
Pinching her eyes closed she imagined the look on Jacob's face when he realizes that she was gone. That she was going to be one of them. She didn't think that he would get there in time for whatever Edward had planned, but he certainly was always one for being theatric and she wondered if that would save her.
She could only hope.

He slammed his fist down on the table before turning towards the door. Sam and Emily had let her go to Charlie's and now they were both missing. Seth had been to the house earlier and found Bella's phone on the steps before Phasing back and telling Jake. He didn't believe it, he had to make sure for himself so he went to Emily's.
Four paws slammed against the cold ground as he ran, his thoughts going a hundred miles an hour. The neverending garble of thoughts and voices echoed in the mind of his Pack as they all pushed to Charlie's house. He couldn't think at the moment, he couldn't respond. He just had to get there.
Shrugging on a pair of shorts as he ran up to the house, Seth's form came into view. Sitting on the front steps with Bella's phone in his hands he reached out to him before Jacob had even gotten there. His eyes scanned the screen for a moment as it turned on and his heart skipped a beat as he read the message.
Edward has dad, said that I had to meet him. The truck will be at Newton's. He mentioned that Charlie responded to a call–check with the police station, they might have the address where Alice is bringing me.
I love you, Jake. If I don't make it out of this, just know that, please. I'm sorry.
He threw the phone against the side of the house and watched as it shattered, his hands shaking as he turned on his heel and threw his shorts off, Phasing as he went.
Seth, grab those. I need one of you to head to the Police station with me so that I don't lose my shit. One of you heads to Newton's. I need ALL of you on this, you understand?
None of them said a word, but he felt them all in agreeance as they headed toward their respective areas. Jacob pounded on, his gait not faltering until he got to the Police Station, pulled on the pants that Seth had brought in his mouth, and stalked inside with Embry by his side.
A few persuasive and slightly intimidated moments later, they had what they needed from the lady at the front desk. The bloodsuckers had gone to their house. He wondered if Edward had assumed that he wouldn't check there, that he wouldn't believe that in their right mind that they would ever go back there. He was slightly right, he didn't think that Edward had the balls to show his face back around here. Alice had come after all with the first warning.
Throwing open the door to Leah's truck, he climbed in fighting desperately to keep the Wolf from tearing through him. He had to get into town, he had to see her truck. Piece all of the shit together. They were there within minutes and he threw open the door, stalking towards her truck. His head whipped around at the smell of her blood and he walked towards the spot in the parking lot where a few faint drops led over to the other side. He could smell it now, she had been taken to a vehicle and he guessed did something because he could smell her scent in the breeze as he stared down the road.
She was smart.
He walked back over to her truck, opening the door to get slapped in the face with her scent. Fear. Noticing that there wasn't anything out of the ordinary he walked across the road and into the treeline, Leah and Seth right behind him. "Leah has Seth bring the truck to the Cullen house, the rest of you meet me there." His eyes scanned out to the treeline as he watched the towering Wolves appear one by one. "Edward is mine, understand?" All of them nodded as he shucked his pants to his ankles and shifted.
With a snap of his jaws, every one of them tore through the woods as they followed the familiar path to the Cullens residence and his mind played through a thousand different ways to kill Edward Cullen.
