Chapter 8: Golden Rescue
A blond-haired pop idol Ren-Ren is doing a show at the Kanto Regional Mall Complex with fans cheering for her on stage. "I know, I know. I need to go," Ren-Ren said as she speeds through the crowd to go into her dressing room. She lets out a fat sigh along with her fake happy smile disappearing. "Gee, good grief. I am finally away from those losers," Ren-Ren said as she turns on the TV screen to contact her boss Maddy.
"So how did the meet and greet go?" Maddy asked to broadcast herself on the screen.
"It's all coming together boss, they are eating my words out of my hands like the degenerates they are," Ren-Ren feels dirty from being around so many desperate men.
"Well, they can sell their lungs if a pretty face tells them to do it," Maddy said as she can feel her profits soaring from her number one pop idol to help sell his products.
"I know right, show them a pretty fantasy wife, and they each drop 50,000 Poke dollars per order. It's insane how crazy these weirdos are. So how are operations going right now?" she asked.
"Perfectly, our partners are working their magic," Maddy said.
"Yep, yep. Dealing with Cipher and working with them to make a new world would be good on our end," Ren-Ren said.
"Yes, I know the grandmaster is quite the visionary and his new world is quite promising. We will be the leaders in molding the mass with my deep pockets in the entrainment industries," Maddy said.
"Indeed, I and the girls will be there to aid along the way," Ren-Ren said.
"Of course. You and Star Girls are my tips of the spear in twisting this world with your voices to our own devices," Maddy said as she cuts off the screen to speak with Lovrina. "Hello, my friend," Maddy said as the pink-haired woman is on the screen to greet her.
"Hey there Maddy, good job drumming up the media with our performance," Lovrina said.
"My pleasure, our relationship with Cipher is going to be quite fruitful," Maddy said with a naughty smile on her face.
"Speaking of which Morpheus managed to take out the Galar Champion and made it into a show," Lovrina said.
"Indeed, my reporters are spinning it in a certain way. Wes and his little gang were turning head in Galar but Morpheus is unable to seek them out," Maddy said.
"He is dead fixed on making Mother stronger and making her the blueprint for a new life in this world our grandmaster wants to create. I think it's a stupid idea, Mother is unstable and corrupting anything nearby. I think this idea of his will be a dead end," Lovrina said.
"Seems like you are working on your latest project," Maddy said.
"Yes, I am going to outdo Shadow Rayquaza. My Shadow Lugia will be twisted into an awesome weapon of power," Lovrina said.
"Any other Legendries you got your eyes on?" Maddy said as Lovrina has a few choices in mind. The Legendary Birds and a certain Psychic Pokemon she needs to track down.
"I got a few ideas," Lovrina said as she has a big grin on her face.
Back with Wes and the others hearing the news to be bothered by this. "That is insane, he defeated the Galar Champion," Lillie is beyond dumbfounded by this.
"Seems like he was flexing his powers of the Burst Heart," Wes said.
"Indeed, from what I can understand. He wields a Deoxys, a powerful Pokemon that is alien in origin," N said.
"Alien?" Lillie asked.
"Yes from what I understand. Deoxys is an Alien Pokemon who comes down from meteorites that enter the atmosphere," Sonia said on the radio.
"Cipher must have gotten their hands on one and Morpheus controls its powers. He managed to defeat Leon by using the different forms in combat seamlessly. Normal, Attack, Defense, and Speed forms interchanging between them when it suits him best," Wes said as Lillie can see this.
"Right, the Deoxys have different forms. I am going to need to form a plan to fight back when I fight him in my Burst form," Lillie said.
"Each form has a weakness and you need to exploit it if we are going to take him down," N said.
"Indeed. Leon didn't see it coming. I told them not to go after him but he insisted. Always trying to be the hero," Sonia said feeling sad about this as she just saw him lying in the hospital bed in a coma.
"Sonia, do you know the Champion?" Lillie asked.
"We been friends since we were kids and we went to do the Gym Challenge but he has blown past me. So, I went down a different pass to find my calling. Damn it, this guy," Sonia said as she collects herself. "Also, there was some fishy activity at the International Airport in Wyndon. One of the private jets was docked on the landing strip and it was very weird," Sonia said.
"What are you talking about?" Wes asked.
"Well, there is a well-known Pokemon Coordinator Serena who went here by Maddy. She disappeared from the airport," Sonia said.
"Oh Serena, she is so cool," Lillie said as she learned about her when she was in Hoenn to see videos of her shows with her Pokemon doing some beautiful displays to win several Ribbons from her contest showings. "She is very strong, I hope we can recruit her to our team," Lillie said.
"Another strong trainer would be nice if she wants to join us that is," Wes said.
"Indeed, we don't want to involve another person if they don't want to," N said.
"I have seen her performances, they were pretty good," Jessie said.
"You like contests?" N looks at her funny for she feels offended.
"I used to be in a ton of Pokemon Contests before but I can't get past the finals," Jessie said.
"Can't cut it huh?" N asked.
"She tried her best at least," James said to back her up.
"Well, she did get her ass kicked by little girls half her age," Meowth said as Jessie punches him in the face to launch him across the cave to crash into a rock.
"It was stupid luck, how can a bunch of brats beat a graceful lady like myself," Jessie flips her long magenta hair with some dignity.
"I guess so. Maybe Serena can give you some tips on how to be better," James said as he knows his friend Jessie always wanted to win a Pokemon Contest in her lifetime.
"That would be a wonderful idea. She would be able to hone my skills with the grace and beauty of winning," Jessie said.
"Well, we need to gather intel on how to find her," Wes said as he grabs a data chip that he found in the Cipher warehouse. "This will show us different locations of other minor Cipher locations. She could be held up in one of these places," Wes said.
"Let me handle this, I am good with computer stuff," James said as Wes tosses him the data chip to look it over.
"Good James, get to it," he asked.
"Yes Boss," James said as everyone disembarks to prepare for rescue operations to save Serena from Cipher.
Elsewhere Serena is in a cell deep underground to wakes up as her head was ringing. "My head, where am I?" she questioned as a Cipher Peon is watching over her cell to leer at her beautiful body fitting her red dress and her long golden honey hair.

She is in charge of the operation of Johto and uses her media empire to give coverage for our plans across the world. Keeping us on the down low," the Peon said as Serena feels betrayed by her sponsor.
"Damn it," Serena said feeling like a fool as the Peon laughs at her.
"No one is coming for you. The boss has plans to use you for experiments but we can have fun before then," Peon snares at her as Serena backs into a corner.
"My whole career was for nothing and Maddy tosses it away," Serena said.
"Yep and even if you escape. She will make hit pieces on you and drag your name in the mud. No one will be able to let you do contests again," the Peon said as Serena feels like she can cry now.
"No, no. My dreams in the dust," Serena said letting the tears flow out of her eyes to sit in a corner with her sorrow overwhelming her body.

"Thanks, it's nice to feel wanted," James said as they wait for the morning to tell about their plan.
The morning has come with everyone ready to go and getting breakfast made by James.
"Oh, breakfast sandwiches huh?" Meowth asked as his mouth is watering from it.
"Indeed, egg, bacon, cheese, and two bagels along with spices and herbs. The perfect way to enjoy your breakfast," James said feeling impressed with his work. Lillie grabs the bagel sandwiches to bite into them.

"Yeah it's quite good," Wes said.
"James knocked it out of the park again," Meowth said.
"So, we are going to head for a Cipher outpost under an abandoned bar in Gladwell," James said.
"It is a research center where they kidnap people and use them for experiments. They do have a list of people they want to kidnap and Serena is on the list," N said.
"Good work James," Wes said.
"You are welcome," James said as they prepare to head for the small sea town again.
They crowd around Espeon to teleport back to the town to head for the old bar which is in the far corner of the town. "Seems far off from the beaten path," Meowth said as they approach the bar to open the door to be within an empty.
"There is activity here, we need to find a switch to reveal a secret door," N said as everyone spread out to find the switch.
"Gee, something out of a secret agent movie," James said.
"We used to these types of things from Team Rocket all the time," Jessie said.
"Classic setup, hiding in plain sight," Meowth said as he sees a dull-looking red button to press it revealing a section of floor opening up to a fleet of stairs.
"Good work Meowth," Jessie praised him as Meowth feels proud of himself.
"Nothing to it," he said as they call the others via comlink to lead them into the room.
"Good work guys, time to raid this outpost," Wes said as they go down the stairs with him wielding his Double Shot to see a few guards nearby. He fires a few buckshots to easily put them down before drawing their weapons or poke balls.
"Time to bust this out, go Indeedee," N tosses his Poke Ball to summon his Psychic/Normal type to see Male Indeedee use Psychic to fling several Cipher Peons to clear the way.
"Damn it, Wes and his crew are here. Stop them," the Elite Peon Mike said on the loudspeakers for someone pressed a button to set up several blast doors to slow them down.
"Tri Attack," N ordered as his Male Indeedee summoned orbs of lightning, flames, and ice to fling them in a triangle formation to bust through several blast doors with ease.
"Send in the drones, slow them down," the Elite Peon said as several flying drones are firing their machine guns to pepper the hallway. They get behind crates as James summons Inkay to aid Indeedee to use their psychic powers to stop the bullets.
Inkay stuns the drones with its psychic power while Indeedee gathered all the bullets to put them together into a ball to fling it back. The bullet ball hit the wall to burst out like a grenade with broken bullets scattered everywhere.
Wes summons Biz the Umbreon to unleash bolts of darkness to take down flying drones blowing them to bits.
Lillie summons her Dedenne to use Volt Tackle for the little fairy mouse engulfs herself in lightning to bounce off the walls to tear through the drone defenses.
They reach two sets of stairs. "Okay one goes down to the warehouse where they are storing the stolen goods and the upstairs leads to the prisons," Lillie said.
"Okay N, go get the girl while I and Lillie secure the Pokemon here," Wes said.
"Right, come on guys," N said as he leads the trio upstairs while Lillie and Wes go downstairs.
Lillie and Wes go into the warehouse to see a ton of Poke balls being stored there. Peons toss out a bunch of Beedrills and Houndooms trying to take them out. Biz uses Dark Pulse to knock down several flying bees to kill them off with Dedenne zapping incoming enemy Pokemon and stunning Peons.
Wes draws out his Double Shot to fire buckshot to blow off the heads of the grunts. Biz uses Iron Tail to break the back of a Houndoom with Wes shooting its head turning it into a red mist only seeing an exposed neck slot.
A Beedrill uses Bug Buzz to unleash a wave of sounds to blow away Lillie's Dedenne to knock her into a crate. It flies in trying to stab her with its twin stingers but the little mouse covers herself in an electric ball to ward off the attacks. She flings the lightning ball at the bug Pokemon to zap it to a crisp.
"Dazzling Gleam," Lillie said as Dedenne unleash a wave of rainbow lights to strike down all the Dark Type Houndoom to wipe them out with ease.
"Looks like this place is secured," Wes said as he looks down on a crate to see a Burst Heart a real one in a glove holding an Inteleon inside. "Keep this just in case," Wes said to put it in his bag as he spots a Pokemon in a cage that looks unfamiliar to him.
"Oh, that is a Cyclizar. A Dragon/Normal type from the Paldea Region just across the sea. They use this Pokemon like a mount for it has three forms. The normal form has it runs on all fours, battle form when it stands on two legs, and mount form to become a motorcycle," Lillie said as Wes is confused by this.
"How can it become a motorcycle?" he asked.
"Well, it uses its throat sac and tail to form them into organic wheels. They use them as mounts in Paldea," Lillie said as Wes has a great interest in this Pokemon.
"So Cyclizar, want to join my team?" he asked as the lizard dragon notes his head. "Alright, welcome to the team," Wes tosses a Poke ball to capture the dragon to add him to his team.
Lillie goes over to see a weird sight on the floor to see a robotic Pokemon that looks like a mix of Gallade and Gardevoir. "This is quite weird," Lillie reaches out for it but it reactivates to catch her hand. It gets onto its feet to pull out the blades from its arms to make a double-bladed saberstaff.
"Oh gees," Lillie transforms into her Burst form to block incoming blows for the robotic Pokemon is very fast enough to take her off guard and kick her into a bunch of boxes. Dedenne tries to stop it but the robot lobs an energy blast to hit the fairy mouse to knock it out.
"Lillie," Wes said as he looks at this robotic Pokemon which looks familiar to him. "Looks like a chimera of things put together but it looks strong," he said as he fires shotgun with the Pokemon putting up a light barrier to block his shots.
The Pokemon clashes with Lillie to knock her away as it unleashes a barrage of rainbow bolts of light to pepper at Umbreon to easily knock him out. "It's a Fairy type," Lillie thought as she deeply wanted to capture this powerful robotic creature.
Wes is firing explosive slugs but the robotic Pokemon's light barrier still holds up. It unleashes waves of energy to blow Wes and Lillie away. "Wes," she said as she teleport behind the robot Pokemon to use her claws to slash into its back which tear through the barrier.
The robot Pokemon uses Drain Punch but due to Lillie's Ghost typing, it does zero damage. She leashes out with a blast of dark power to knock it into a wall. " I don't want to fight you, I want to help you," Lillie said as she pins it to the wall with a strong psychic strike which seems to be very weak.
Wes aims his gun at the robotic Pokemon as it suddenly stops struggling to submit to its new mistress. Lillie stops to land on the floor to bow before her to show Lillie has proven her worth to it. "Okay it's friendly now, see I don't want to hurt you," Lillie said as she goes up to pet it on the head to feel its smooth metal casing.
It gives a cute-sounding growl, it likes being petted by Lillie. "What is this thing?" Wes asked as Lillie grabs a tablet nearby where this was location to see an image and info about this mysterious Pokemon.
"Oh, this is called Iron Valiant. It's a Fairy/Fighting type who came from the Paldea Region with an unknown origin. It's a chimera creature taking the different types of Gallade and Gardevoir to merge into one idea. An artificial Pokemon with the best parts of both Pokemon," Lillie said as she reverts to her normal self to kiss it on the forehead.
"Interesting," Wes said.
"It's like my little Magearna, so cold and alone. It needs some love and you have a nice feminine voice too. I am going to add you to my team if you want to?" she asked as Iron Valiant nods her head to let herself be captured. "Good girl," Lillie tosses a Heal Ball to add Iron Valiant to Lillie's growing Fairy-type team.
"Well, we managed to secure this place. Hopefully, N and others got to the woman in time," Wes said.
Elsewhere Serena is in her cell to see her guards were being very anxious about the attack. "Damn it Wes and his gang are attacking the outpost," the Peon said as the hatch above the ceiling opens to reveal Indeedee and Meowth coming down nearby Serena.
"Oh my," Serena said as Indeedee uses Psywave to destroy the cell bars and kill off the guards via impact into walls.
"Hey there, we are here to save you," Meowth said as Indeedee touches her shoulder to use his mental powers to soothe her mind.
"A talking Meowth, have I gone mad?" Serena asked as Indeedee is calming her down. "Well, since you are both here. I am thankful," Serena said as they go through the hallways with Meowth and Indeedee protecting her.
"We got a whole crew raid this place to save you and others trapped here," Meowth explained.
"Well lady luck is on my side today. Those men have bad intentions," Serena said as Indeedee shakes off the evil thoughts they have of Serena.
"Yeah, it's better you don't know," Meowth said as he comes in to kick a Peon onto the ground. Indeedee uses Tri-Attack to blast the enemies with lightning, flames, and ice clearing a path.
They arrived at a room to see N in his Burst form using Night Slash to cut down Bug Pokemon in half. James' Inkay lobs orbs of darkness to blast apart enemies. Jessie's Gourgeist uses Vine Whip to hit them and knock them away.
"We got the princess and time to get out of here," James said as he calls Wes and Lillie for them to get out of there.
The gang comes to the entrance with Lillie excited to see Serena there. "Thank goodness, you are okay. I am Lillie," Lillie greeted the older woman.
"I am Serena, nice to meet you, Lillie. I know you; you were the one who conquer the Battle Frontiers in Hoenn and Johto. Bested all the Gyms in Hoenn, Johto and Kanto. Won two main tournaments in the three regions and fought evenly against Leaf and Steven despite losing to both," Serena said.
"Oh, you are a fan of mine?" she asked.
"Of course, your battles are amazing. Your Fairy types are so cute and strong," Serena said as N hands her the poke balls.
"These are yours," Serena said.
"Thanks for rescuing me," Serena said as they get out of the underground outpost to get back outside.
"No problem, we will take you to our hideout to cool off and let you relax before making your next move," Wes said as he summons Liz to summon him away back to the hideout.
"Thanks, gee we are in a cave," Serena said as she sees a two-story cabin within the cavern.
"Relax and sit back," Lillie said.
"Okay, thanks again, and saving my Pokemon as well," Serena said as they managed to save Serena and some strong Pokemon to add to their teams with the police called by Sonia to capture the broken Cipher underground outpost for it was a mission completed.
