Chapter 21 - King of Games
Seven months later, tens of kilometers from Kemet (Egypt), a burning village burned with no one to stop the ravening flames and next to the flames, there were only the screams of pain and despair, and men who were more beasts than anything else and that they would hit with pointed weapons anyone who passed close to them while capturing the healthy ones.
In the shadows of the destruction where only the shapes could be seen, there were several men around women, whose screams echoed through the air in despair only to be silenced after several minutes.
The youngest and children were terrified and were violently captured, only to be thrown into animal-drawn cages.
Yuugi watched the flames consume everything he touched as he heard the screams of pain and despair. Her eyes were focused on the cabin that was burning intensely and where it was possible to see the bodies lying around, with the young man focusing on a man with ninety percent of his body burned.
There were tears in the eyes of the young man wearing a collar, whose shackles were chained to a post and that was the lifeless body of his former owner and however rough he was, the tricolor-haired young man couldn't hate him either wish her harm. He just couldn't because his kindness and kindness were an inherent mark on him.
As he watched his former owner's dead body, he allows himself to recall when he had discovered his talent for games by accident when he made him play a game while getting drunk at the bar and had done so without expecting any victory. When he saw him win every match, he got excited and decided to cash in on his slave's newfound abilities.
Since that day, he has taken part in clandestine gambling on orders from his master who profited more and more while refusing to sell the young man who hadn't noticed the greedy looks on him because of his eyes, unusual skin color and short stature, which stood out among the dark brown color of that people. The exotic air encouraged many to buy it, but its owner said he wasn't stupid enough to sell the one who gave him money.
The punishments he suffered in the past were caused because his master was always drinking and when he got drunk, he became violent, ending up attacking him, even if he followed orders in an exemplary manner.
Moreover, Yuugi never knew he was being beaten because the albino always protected him, taking his consciousness to suffer in her place, to later heal the body and only when he was cured, he regained consciousness.
A few days before she put her plan to free her friend into practice, Yuugi's owner discovered that his slave was exceptional at the game, earning him money.
To avoid hurting him, the man started drinking outside the house so as not to take it out on Yuugi because he needed him to play well so he could profit and saving him from the beatings caused by his drunkenness was something he didn't mind avoiding.
In the underground gaming underworld, they referred to him as the King of the Games because he mastered any game, deciphering him easily as he learned the rules at unbelievable speed, his posture changing as he played, making him forget what he was.
So the fact that he'd provided something that made Yuugi very happy along with the fact that she'd never hit him or yell at him again, made her wonder if it was worth releasing him.
After all, I had never seen him as happy as he was when he played and his owner provided that happiness while he was absent from punishing him, in addition to offering perks when he made a lot of money.
Because of all of this, his initial plan to release him during the period that his friend got caught because of their master's drunkenness was undone because the punishments stopped and he started to play whenever he could, making his owner happy and consequently, earning rewards.
In the end, the half dragon decided that as long as her friend's life remained like that, unpunished and given perks, with him doing what she loved most, she wouldn't set him free.
Furthermore, there was the fact that it would be a matter of time before he ended up a slave again and in the current conjecture it was better to keep him a slave to that man, as long as he did not change the treatment for his friend.
For the young man with the amethyst eyes, playing was what he most loved to do because as he played, concentrating on his opponent, he forgot about his miserable life, plus the fact that it didn't matter if his opponent was a free, noble, or someone rich. In the game, he defeated them and at least, in that instant, a slave became superior, even if only for a few minutes of glory.
Yuugi referred to the dead man as his former master, because in one of his drunken binges, his brain soaked in alcohol, rejoicing in yet another victory for his slave, he ended up causing a fight with the wrong people and among them, there was a noble.
To prevent himself from being killed for hitting the nobleman in the shoulder, he told about his slave and his exceptional gaming skills, as well as telling him that he was a virgin and exotic, so that he would be interested in the young man and by showing him, the nobleman moans of happiness when he finds out he was exotic and decides to accept him in exchange for not killing him for having assaulted him.
As a precaution, Yuugi had been arrested, in order to prevent him from fleeing when he saw the lascivious look that his new master was showing to the tricolor-haired young man while the delivery of the property to this nobleman was made official.
Faced with this change, Yukiko decided that she would put her plan into practice to free him because she noticed the perverted look that the man decided on his friend.
At that moment, the tricolor-haired youth sighed again as tears fell from his eyes because he was incapable of hating anyone, even his ex-master and if he had been tied to that pole, he would have saved him from the flames, just as he would have saved all those who he could save regardless of the person's status.
As the invasion had been abrupt, the house was hit by a kind of flaming ball that made them burn alive, with the amethyst orbs watching in horror as the house was taken by flames in a matter of seconds, with Yuugi closing his eyes as he heard the screams of pain and despair at the same time that he felt helpless when he could not free himself from the post to help.
Meanwhile, inside him, Yukiko smiled to see the fallen man, as well as the other who had looked lustfully at his friend because he had delighted to see them in the form of fireballs, before falling dead.
Of course she had subdued, a little, her friend's mind so she wouldn't see the scene so as not to traumatize him.
The air of that village was impregnated with burnt flesh, ashes and death that hung in the air along with the smoke that ascended to the heavens in a funeral tone and whose stars seemed to want to hide, like the moon, with the clouds covering them as if they wanted to prevent them from continuing to see the grotesque spectacle of human perversity at a level unimaginable to many.
The survivors did not know that their greatest luck would have been to die in the attack because to live would mean living hell in all its fullness, gnashing of teeth, unimaginable pain and torment. For many, death would be a desired and dear friend who would free them from their torments.
While Yukiko found herself smiling at the horrible death of the former owner and new owner, some men saw Yuugi and she realized they started to come towards him, hearing about him being beautiful and exotic, realizing that they wanted to take his friend and front at this thought, she began to feel an intense hatred.
Then, smiling sadistically, the half dragon makes her friend fall asleep and starts to control her body as she feels his resistance gradually dropped, with her deciding to alter his memories to prevent him from remembering the horror that his eyes, ears and smell experienced.
The dragon surprises the men who leered at Yuugi as they watched him rise, with them swearing that his eyes weren't blue and his iris wasn't narrow, causing them to take a step back as they see fangs appear in his mouth, in addition to the nails elongating, becoming claws.
The albino could smell the odor of fear that exhaled from them, making her rejoice as an extremely sadistic smile appeared on her face.
To the terror of the two men, she grabs the chains with her claws that have taken the place of her nails and pulls them out of where they were, and then brings along with the chains the piece of wall where she was trapped under their stunned gaze.
Yukiko finishes breaking the chains in her fists as if they were mere thin sticks as she watched the two men flee in terror as they gained strength in their legs to run desperately from the place.
Smiling, she makes very hard ice crystals emerge and hits them in the cervical, in the correct place to leave them immobilized from the neck down, without paralyzing their organs, thanking the fact that knowledge arises in her mind when she needed to explain something or to act.
Using her crystals, she begins to hit all invaders at the same cervical point, leaving them tetraplegics while at the same time she begins to summon small ice spears, whose rigidity owes nothing to the diamond, with them breaking people's handcuffs that had been trapped in carts, as well as destroying the locks of the cages so that people could flee as he walked placidly through the burning village, using the cold air around him to make the toxic gases fall to ground level by the low pressure it provided while fiercely suppressed the flames.

After being released, people fled and as she passed the buildings, she found people dying or trapped under rubble.
Depending on the wounds, she rescued them and healed the wounds with her snow, leaving them terrified, then fleeing together from the others. If they had too serious injuries, the albino would end their suffering because she didn't want to use too much of her magic through her friend's body because she didn't know if he could handle the intensity of her magic that was needed to heal these very serious wounds.
So, just in case, the albino had set a limit for itself and never sought to cross it.
After all, serious injuries demanded more magic and she didn't want to go beyond the limit and so she only healed people who didn't have too serious injuries while sparing others suffering by killing them quickly after creating sharp ice axes that quickly decapitated them without they see the object that would kill them for being put to sleep.
In one place, protected from the flames, she found a simple but large cloak and decides to take it for her friend to wear, in order to hide her exotic appearance.
After verifying that the people fled and that they were left as well as the dead, the slave traders and captors who were immobilized, displaying the purest terror on their countenance, she summons ice chains and drags them away because they deserved a much more painful death and that it wasn't fast.
Then, she takes them to the deepest part of the forest surrounding the village and tortures them for a few hours, enjoying the lacerating screams of pain and the sound of bones being broken, then backs away from the place, knowing the blood will attract predators.
After ascending to heaven because she could summon their wings and tail, she watches the wild animals lick their lips as they approach them, only to hear their screams and the sound of flesh and bones being ripped open as she steps closer to watch, having fun watching the way the beasts devoured them alive.
After several minutes, it reigns deadly silence, broken only by the snarls of the beasts and the occasional bone breaking by their fangs.
As the fun had ceased in her vision, Yukiko decided to fly away from there, ending up heading to the desert while she hoped he wouldn't be captured so soon, although she knew it would be impossible not to.
Of course she wouldn't leave him in the desert but rather close to the city she had sighted in the distance while she managed the night chill because she didn't want to test the effect of the cold on her friend's body. Using her special vision, she could see a city and a palace complex in the distance, oblivious to the fact that Yuugi would become even more exotic to where she was heading, ending up aggravating her situation instead of improving as she wished when changing location.
A few kilometers from where they were, in Men-nefer (Menphis), capital of the Empire of Kemet, more precisely in the palace complex, Atemu was in her room, delighting with a servant who wanted to be taken by the monarch.
