Yukiko stays...

Chapter 29 - Proposal

After all, in addition to the amount of summoned Ka's influence the amount of spiritual energy of the summoners, there was the power of monsters. The more powerful, the greater the consumption of Bah, the spiritual energy of living beings. The summoner could increase his reservoir through spiritual training. The more powerful the summoner, the less energy consumption generated the summoning of monsters, even the most powerful when making them materialize after releasing them temporarily from the stones that confined them to obey the orders of their summoner.

There were people who could manipulate their personal monsters without needing a Sennen Aitemu at the same time they were weakened if their respective Ka's were defeated, with them coming back inside them, not being able to be summoned until they recovered.

They were called personal Ka's and obeyed the one who housed them in their bodies, as they were created by their bearer's heart and could be used in battles after users had conscious control over them in order to summon them and make them obey your orders, not needing to verbalize them, if they had an intrinsic mastery with Ka after intense training.

Atemu's childhood friends, in addition to Rishido and Diiva, had Ka within their bodies and only maintained them with the sovereign's authorization when demonstrating their mastery over them, in addition to the fact that they used them for their own safety, as well as for protect the monarch and the empire.

Even with the exception of Jounouchi, Honda, Ryo, Mariki, Leon, Leon's parents, Seto, Mahaado, Isis, Shada, Karimu, Rishido and Shimon, no one else knew that Atemu had his own personal Ka, created with his own heart and obeying his orders, with this Ka possessing his own special ability, just as it was with some other Ka who possessed special abilities.

The others were unaware of its existence because the sovereign never used it in public.

The reason that few knew about it was to provide an unusual surprise to the attackers, in case they were under attack and away from their guards, as well as in case they didn't have time to pick up a weapon or finish the invocation words. His personal Ka would provide the time needed to summon some auxiliary Ka, as well as help him get rid of his attackers at the same time.

As the others prepared to summon their personal Ka, the holy Guardians were stunned to see the Ka their king had chosen to summon when the chosen monster's stone appeared behind him.

After all, it was an unusual choice, with everyone being surprised that Per'a'ah kept this monster in his arsenal of Ka's.

Only Seto was not surprised by the choice because he had had a friendly battle with his cousin and at the time, Hem-netjr thought that all that mattered was power whereas Atemu had said that power was just an illusion, with the wielder of Sennen Shakujou finds himself wavering in his vision of power since their clash using weapons, before Atemu's marriage and coronation. The clash with Ka's took place after the coronation and marriage.

He had summoned a Ka of considerable power, the Dyuosu (Dios) and the monarch surprised him by summoning the stone of the Karibou, leaving him baffled by his unusual choice.

Initially, Seto was offended by the monster choice, erroneously judging that his cousin was not taking him seriously by not summoning a more powerful monster because the Karibou was considered one of the most pathetic and weakest monsters to be used in battle.

Infuriated, he ordered Dyuosu to break the Wedju stone slab of the Karibou, with Ka obeying his order, making him believe that he had won by smiling immensely for having destroyed the stone tablet that contained the monster, before it was released.

However, his victorious face was replaced by a terrified one when the dozens of pieces became Karibou's and attacked his Ka, immobilizing him, then defeating him by the power of the quantity that surpassed his Ka, with the his cousin reaffirming that power was nothing but illusion and that he had demonstrated this with his monster, considered the weakest of all and that he had defeated a Ka of considerable power with the power of union.

After this demonstration, his ideas about power were revised while he knew that everyone would be appalled at what a monster regarded as one of the weakest of all could do if used wisely.

Everyone watches the king taking his Sennensui, and then hitting the tip on the stone plate that appeared behind him with the monster's symbol. The impact of the glowing item made numerous golden cracks appear that spread across the surface, making appear countless pieces that floated in the air, with its Sennen Aitemu shining.

Atemu as he exclaimed as Yukiko released a blast of freezing snow towards them, "Karibou!"

Each of the respective pieces become individual Karibou's that unite in the form of a furry wall, forming an insurmountable defensive line, effectively blocking the blast in the form of a blizzard at the same time as they were frozen, before being shattered on the ground, with everyone being surprised to see that the plaque was once again complete with the symbol of a single Karibou.

The sovereign smiles to himself because being considered too weak, no one bothered to find out if that Ka had any special abilities. The monarch was the only one to investigate, ending up discovering its multiplication capacity and that it could be used defensively or offensively because despite being weak, if it were in large numbers, it would become power by quantity.

All watch their king looking fearlessly at the snarling dragon in fury.

"You won't be able to freeze us. I can do this with Karibou several times because I can reassemble your stone as many times as I like."

With the exception of childhood friends, apart from Seto, Mahaado and Shimon, everyone else was surprised that he spoke to his opponent.

"I see in your eyes that I have intelligence. In fact, that's why you were careful with the pillars that support this roof. You avoided hitting them when you waved your tail. A beast wouldn't think of that."

In the meantime, Shimon Muran approaches Mahaado, mumbling something, with the mage consenting, then Hem-netjr whispers to his colleague Karimu, "Summon your web-creating desert spider (Desert Trapdoor Spider). But don't expose it. I just want it to take the place of my chains."

The other Hem-netjr nods and begins to chant the words of invocation, bringing up a stone tablet behind him that stands upright as the drawing of a bursting spider appears.

Even weakened, he still had the spiritual power to summon Ka without risking his life.

"Show up, Ka!" Just then, a sort of spider burst out of a stone tablet and he orders it. "Use your web!"

Taking advantage of Yukiko's bewilderment by the summoning of the Karibou, the spider spurts several layers of sticky web, making it infuriate with the webs that immobilized it, in addition to bothering her too much for being sticky while Mahaado concentrated his magical power after examining the distance the collar of the young man and after identifying it, decides to replicate it.

"Yukiko-chan..." Yuugi mumbles as she finds herself close to him, her eyes popping out of their stupor.

Upon hearing his murmur with her sharp hearing, Yukiko starts talking to him mentally.

"Continue as you were. Don't use your powers. I don't want to see you punished if I can't save us. I was relieved that you didn't react sooner by finding yourself in a kind of daze and I want you to remain that way. I want to be the one attacking them because if I lose, I'll be the one to face punishment. Thankfully, the dragon that lives inside Kisara-chan only appears when she's unconscious. So she can't be punished because she didn't react." The dragon speaks the ending with relief inside her friend's mind.

"But Yukiko-chan, I can't leave you fighting alone... Even with the discipline I suffered before, I think I can fight it if you wish." He answers through her mind.

"Leave to fight when necessary. Now, it's not that situation. I don't want you to get punished for standing up to that bastard. So stay out of it. I can handle punishment. Dragons are not easily broken."

"But..."

"Without "but", are we understood?" She asks seriously and in a tone that doesn't accept challenge.

"Yes"

Yukiko smiles discreetly, then returns to displaying an angry face, making the temperature drop several degrees and dizzily around her, freezing the sticky web in a matter of seconds, then breaking it like dust, advancing then with his club against the spider that deviates from its master's orders to her frustration, which ends up making a hole in the granite floor of the palace which, until that moment, was relatively unscathed despite the occasional claw marks on the floor, coming from the claws of the snow dragon.

Then, she notices that a collar like Yuugi's appears around her neck when Mahaado has finished replicating it after muttering the incantation, making her roar in pure fury and immersed in the purest wrath, spreads her wings, preparing to generate a violent wind, with the Pharaoh noticing the collar and the eyes of Mahaado.

"Now you can stop him, Heru (Horus). Order him to stop. I replicated the young man's collar."

Then, before she uses her attack, Atemu exclaims in an authoritative tone, "Stop!"

As he wanted her to be immobilized, the collar interpreted the order and golden chains emerged from the object surrounding her, immobilizing her, making her fall to the ground as she growled, forcing her wings to curl against her body, with her tail finding herself immobilized as well.

She tries to say something, but her jaws are locked, making her frustrated.

"I see you want to say something." Atemu notices and speaks in his deep baritone voice as he approaches her after undoing the summoning stone plate of the Karibou.

"Speak, Per'a'ah? That beast?" Akhenaden comments in surprise.

"She's not a beast. She's just enraged and showed intelligence by avoiding the columns. Besides, those eyes aren't a beast. There's intelligence in them."

Mana, who was near the place with Kisara, observes that Yuugi had moved and was hugging the dragon's head, which displayed a protective posture, even imprisoned while her blue eyes sparkled with hatred.

Then, they realize that the young man seemed to influence her.

So, Atemu asks, feeling inwardly relieved that the boy has done something for himself, although he is discreet, demonstrating by this act that he has not been irreparably broken. That is, he could still be repaired, as was the blue-eyed young albino who belonged to his cousin.

"Yuugi, how did you guys meet?"

Because of the effect of the discipline he suffered while seeing his friend imprisoned, he tells their story. The remaining part of him decides to influence the narration and makes him omit about her human form, not being considered a lie by the collar that would punish him if he lied.

After all, the young man was just hiding information that was not relevant to the question.

This part of Yuugi sought to carefully analyze the questions asked so that an answer would not be given that would harm her because he wanted her friend to be spared from sexually serving their master, in case he found out about her human form. If she stayed in the form of a dragon, it would be impossible for that to happen, in his view.

The young man even regretted not being able to save his friend Kisara from a probable rape. Therefore, he would try, at least, to save Yukiko who always protected him and took care of him, from that fate by hiding that she had a second form.

After the end of the brief, abridged story he provided the monarch, he says, "Your village thought it was the daughter of the Moon Goddess because of that crescent moon symbol on your forehead and you don't know where it came from. Interesting. .."

"I don't believe she is intelligent..." Akhenaden comments in disbelief.

"Anyone would see that her gaze is not that of a beast, Akhenaden." Seto speaks coldly as he looks at his father who clenches his fists with his son's icy gaze on him.

Atemu notices that the gold chains exhibit some latches, indicating that in time, she might break control of the collar, and decides to think ahead, as she was shown to have intelligence.

Therefore, he decides to make a proposal to her.

"How about facing the three most powerful Ka I own? There are three because they will represent Yuugi, Kisara and you, once they've been brought together." Atemu noticed that she seemed to have a protective feeling with the silver because she had avoided hit her, in addition to her eyes showing concern for the young woman. "You must defeat all three. By defeating them, I will grant freedom to all of you. Are you okay? You will face each one at a time."

The dragon displays surprise in her eyes as she looks at the monarch while the Sennengan wielder is shocked.

"But, Per'a'ah..." Atemu's uncle mutters after recovering from the shock.

As for Seto, after the initial surprise, he consents because he trusted his monarch. He knew that his cousin was talking about the three Netjer (Gods) of Kemet, with Hem-netjr believing that the dragon could not handle the three most powerful Ka's while Exodia was considered the fourth most powerful Ka of all and which was sealed in five parts due to its immense power.

However, only Shimon could control him as long as he used his old Sennenjou and the last time he used it was in a war. Currently, Sennen Aitemu was meeting with his successor, Shada.

Of course, the tjaty (Vizir) and Royal Councilor showed Atemu where Exodia's holy plates were to be found, with both deciding to give it a try.

After all, if the monarch could control the Gods, he could control Exodia and that day, Shimon had borrowed Sennenjou in case he needed it.

In the end, it was shown that carrying it was unnecessary because the sovereign was able to summon and overpower Exodia easily, making Shimon very proud of him. With this text it was revealed that the royal Councilor was not the only one capable of summoning and controlling Exodia.
