Hey, everyone!
Welcome to chapter 18 of My Hero Academia Illegals: Vigilante Dark Drive.
Hope you guys enjoy it!
"Speaking"

*Sounds*
[Belt-san/Kamen Rider System]
"Super Moves!"
{Television}
Most of the invited individuals were freaking out now, mainly the U.A. High students.
While not a behavior expected from future heroes in training, it was understandable why they were panicking.
After all, who wouldn't do the same if they were to stumble upon some Roidmudes in disguise that just decided to suddenly reveal themselves now?
And they were the same people claiming to work for Krim Steinbelt…
Tachibana Shinra was revealed to be the Plain Spider Type Roidmude 025. He has a dark blue-colored collar around his neck.
Haibara Kanade shows everybody that her true self was that of the Plain Cobra Type Roidmude 031. She has a light yellow-colored collar around her neck.
And lastly, Saijo Shinji reveals his true form to be that of the Plain Bat Type Roidmude 072. He has a red-colored collar around his neck.
"R-Roidmudes!?" Mina gasped at the mechanical monsters before everyone, feeling intimidated by their presence.
"It's a trap!" Minoru panicked as he and the other teenagers quickly came to this conclusion. "They want to silence us!"
"What!?"
"Is that why they called us here!?"
"Nooo!"
The students were panicking as their teachers and most of the adults tried in vain to calm them.
"Bastards!" Katsuki yelled as he, Shoto, Kamakiri, Jurota, Eijiro and Tetsutetsu seemed to be ready to fight back against the Roidmudes.
"Everybody, stop!"
Yuriko cries as she gets in the center, catching everyone's attention. She acts quickly before things could escalate any further as she tries to defuse the situation.
This seemed to work a little as the students stopped panicking.
Izuku noticed, now that he was paying close attention, that neither Belt-san, Yuuki or Kenji were panicking about the Roidmudes' revelation like the rest of them. The three of them were completely calm, indicating that they did not see the trio of androids as threats.
And the greenette also noticed that the Kamen Rider was sporting an amused expression as he seemed to take a small amount of delight in watching the kids panicking, about them not knowing what to expect.
Noticing the inheritor of [One For All] looking strangely at him, the police detective merely shrugged as he stared back at the green-haired kid.
"Everybody, calm down!" Yuriko cries again before gesturing to the Plain Roidmudes. "Look, I know this sounds a bit absurd… But they are on our side."
The policewoman remembered how she met the trio shortly after the second invasion of U.A. High.
Naturally, she was wary of the trio. But Yuriko decided to eventually give them the benefit of doubt after Yuuki and Krim vouched for the three of them.
Apparently, the three of them have defected from the Roidmude side.
And they were now also on the kill list of the rest of their kind...
Just like the rest of them.
"What!?" The majority cried in disbelief.
"You can't be serious!" Midnight says, looking warily at them. "How can we know for sure they won't try anything against us?"
She wasn't taking any chances, especially after how a Reaper Unit almost killed her.
"If we wanted to do something with your group, we would've already done so." The Cobra 031 replies dryly before reverting back into her human form. "Why would we have done something that could backfire? Why would we reveal ourselves like this then?"
"If we really wanted to kill or capture you guys, we could've used [Heavy Acceleration] to do so." Spider 025 says next before adopting his Shinra identity. "It would be over in an instant for you guys."
"Plus, we wouldn't even leave a witness." 072 says as he becomes Shinji once more. "And yet we're having a video call with Mr. Shield here." He gestured to the screen in which David was watching everything transpire before his eyes.
The three workers then sat back on their respective seats as the rest of the audience processed everything that they said while Yuriko proceeded to do the same as the androids, returning to Yuuki's side.
"..."
As everyone calmed down once the trio's pieces of arguments were delivered, the humans begrudgingly had to acknowledge that the androids raised some valid points.
Toshinori looks at Belt-san with a knowing look.
"You already knew…" He states as he looks at the sentient Drive Driver, trying not to look sourly at him. "Why didn't you just tell us about them right away, Krim?"
[It was to mainly prove a point. Unfortunately, there are high risks when needing to trust others now that the Roidmudes are around. It can be hard to tell who is and isn't human. That's why I couldn't approach you earlier, Toshinori. I couldn't risk a careless leak of intel from our side.] Belt-san replies while looking guiltily at his old friend. [Tell me, how many of you actually suspected Shinji, Kanade and Shinra to be Roidmudes in disguise right from the start?]
"..."
He was only met with silence and looks of shame and frustration.
While most of the guests were indeed wary of the trio, none of them actually suspected the employees to be androids in disguise.
[I see… *Sigh* This only proves that the Roidmudes' Advanced Camouflage is a real problem, making it very hard to distinguish one from a real human.]
"But can't you make some sort of device that can distinguish a human from a Roidmude?" Denki decided to ask as if actually wondering if the scientist in question even thought about that while others seemed to agree with him.
He was met with several deadpan looks from the Drive Team.
"You thought we already didn't think about that? We already tried to do something like a scanning machine, but it would be pointless." Yuuki explains.
Mei was confused about this.
"Why?" She asked.
"Kid, we are androids that are always 'evolving'..." Shinra explains to her with a gesture to himself. "Even if such a device is created and initially works, the Roidmudes will eventually adapt to it and quickly make such a thing obsolete in a matter of time."
"The best way to currently identify a Roidmude is pretty much through deductions, see them make a slip or to check if a person can safely move during [Slowdown] without carrying a Shift Car, a Signal Bike or a Viral Core." Yuriko explains.
"Shift Car? Signal Bike? Viral Core? What are those?" Mei asks again, now feeling more curious.
"Patience, we will get to it soon." The female detective says in return, making the pinkette pout.
"Or that was the case until now…" Yuuki resumes saying before his eyes land on Naomasa.
"Me?" The detective asks, pointing at himself.
"One of the reasons we brought you to this meeting was because of your ability, Tsukauchi." The black Rider explains. "Your [Lie Detector] Quirk could be useful in helping us identify them. Since it's a natural ability and not a technology, I'm sure that the Roidmudes will have no way of bypassing such 'skill'."
"I see…" Quickly catching on, Naomasa agrees with the reasoning.
[The other reason these three decided to reveal themselves was to help you all understand that not all Roidmudes are our enemies. There are some amongst them that can and wish to coexist with humanity.] Belt-san explains as he looks at his 'employees'.
Naturally, such a statement was met with skeptical looks.
"Considering all of our experiences so far with their kind, I find it hard to believe in such a statement." Vlad King says while still looking suspiciously at everybody on the stage.
Especially Yuuki.
Belt-san simply snorted at the comment.
[Then you will find out that it's actually quite ironic that the first Kamen Rider Drive - Proto Drive - was a Roidmude. And not a human.]
"What!?" The guests cried in shock.
My Hero Academia Illegals: Vigilante Dark Drive
Drive 18: The long-awaited revelation II
[Belt-san is now showing, in the memory screen, how he came into contact with the crucified Protozero(start of the Kamen Rider Drive Saga - Kamen Rider Chaser movie).]
"The number on his chestplate… 000… A Roidmude prototype?" Mei pondered, being fascinated, as she noticed how this one has human features and lacks the animal ones that all the others seemed to possess.
"Yes. That is Protozero… The first one to attain the title of the warrior Drive." Yuuki explains as he talks to the audience about the Human Type Roidmude.
"..." Ibara couldn't help but frown at the scene, being bothered at how the Roidmude was in a similar pose to that of Jesus Christ while Belt-san talked about Protozero's sense of justice in the memory screen.
'Is he supposed to be some sort of savior for mankind?' The vine girl wondered.
[The memory screen then shows Protozero agreeing to fight alongside Belt-san before using him to become Kamen Rider Proto Drive.]
"Ah! So that's how he transforms? The armor literally materializes around the user… Fascinating!" Mei comments, taking some notes with a pen that she brought along.
Izuku also seemed to be doing the same with his own utensils.
"All this time… People would never have guessed that Kamen Rider Drive's real identity is actually that of two individuals." The greenette commented before he looked at the sentient Drive Driver and then at Yuuki.
[The memory screen then shows Proto Drive preventing the first Global Freeze as he repels the Roidmudes' attack.
However, the initial success is short-lived as the Heart Roidmude is next shown defeating the first Drive.]
Many gasped at the scene, with several of the students actually feeling bad for Belt-san and Protozero while others became scared of the crimson behemoth that defeated the black Kamen Rider.
"Who… What was that red Roidmude?" Power Loader questioned.
Belt-san adopted a grim expression before explaining:
[That is Heart. The same Roidmude that also 'killed' me.]
{What!?} David cries in horror. {You mean that's Roidmude 002? }
Katsuki scoffed.
'What sort of name is Heart supposed to be?'
[Yes. And that is his evolved form.] The Drive Driver replies as he tells the audience how a Roidmude can go from the Plain form to the Advanced mode.
[The screen now shows a beaten Protozero laying on the ground a few meters away from Belt-san before the Drive Driver is picked up by Roidmude 001. The Plain Cobra Executive mocks the digital scientist as he tries to crush the living transformation device in his hand.]
Many of the guests glared in anger at 001, wishing to face him and bring him to justice, while others felt bad for Belt-san and Protozero, despite the latter also being a Roidmude.
While Proto Drive proved to be a nigh-infallible warrior against the Roidmudes during Global Freeze, Krim was separated from his partner after Heart defeated the Rider in battle. Following Protozero's supposed death and being haunted by dreams of his past life, the scientist grew to fear both Heart and 001.
[After I was separated from Proto Drive, I would need someone else to be the next Kamen Rider Drive…] Belt-san explained solemnly.
"Does that mean you choose Tomari-san after Proto Drive?" Izuku questioned, looking at the police detective in question.
But before the Drive Driver could continue, Nezu interrupts him.
"Still… This struck me as odd…" The mammal comments.
"What do you mean, sir?" Aizawa questions.
"We're talking about the perpetrators of a worldwide terrorist attack… And yet…"
"Yeah… It is pretty odd that there's still so little information about these Roidmudes considering the amount of damage they have caused so far… How come something as big as the world being attacked by them still hasn't made it to the news?" Gran Torino adds his input, narrowing his eyes in suspicion.
[There's a reason for that…] Belt-san speaks as everyone focuses again on him. [The Global Freeze… It hasn't happened here in this world.]
Huh?
This statement only confused everyone.
Tsukauchi sensed that the sentient Driver was telling the truth, but that didn't make sense either. How could the Global Freeze happen and yet it didn't happen in this world?
Wait… This world?
"Hold on…" Nezu also seemed to realize the meaning. "What did you mean by 'this world'?"
[The Roidmudes and I… We are not from this world.]
"What!?"
Now the majority was looking at Belt-san as if he was crazy.
As if things couldn't get any more insane…
Belt-san just finished explaining about the universe he and the Roidmudes came from, presenting all the necessary evidence to support his rather 'absurd' claim.
"Another world… Another dimension…"
Principal Nezu was ecstatic, which frankly was completely off-putting for Izuku and the rest of the students.
Well, except probably Mei.
'Given his own creations, Mr. Steinbelt's world probably even has technology more advanced than ours…! Ah, if only I could go over there now! The possibilities!' The inventor thought.
Her interest in Steinbelt only increased after that.
Another world?
Possible interdimensional invasion?
Did these thoughts deter the Principal of U.A.?
No, no they did not.
"We'll need to learn their weaknesses and prepare for the Roidmudes… but this also opens up a number of very interesting possibilities!"
Izuku stared blankly.
"Possibilities, sir?"
Tsukauchi gritted his teeth.
While an officer of the law, he had to admit, hearing Krim's story was convincing him that what the Drive Team was doing was a necessary job. And the more he thought about it, the more he realized that the public would never approve of the Kamen Riders killing Roidmudes, especially if they believed them to be the people they were copied out of.
Truthfully, the Drive Team was winning him over the second they came to help everyone at U.A. during the second invasion. He was looking at Yuuki and Yuriko in a new light, coming to deeply appreciate what they did to protect everyone from the Roidmudes.
Nezu cast his arms wide, almost knocking his coffee over his seat.
"If other worlds can send people and objects here then that means that interdimensional shipping is possible. If the Roidmudes can invade this world, then travel is possible… and if we have in this auditorium, the very first record of interdimensional travel. Then that means we in this room are at an informational advantage over everyone else on Earth! This is amazing!"
The white humanoid rat cackled in mad laughter as the number one hero and his successor stared at him in horrified silence.
No one mentioned that, this time, he did spill his coffee.
[I… I don't know if I should now feel happy or a bit disturbed about how your principal has easily accepted the idea of other universes…] Belt-san comments as he looks at everyone else from U.A. High.
[The memory screen next shows that sometime, afterward, Krim received help from one of his old colleagues, Honganji Jun, who set up the formation of the Special Investigation Unit as well as the setting of the Drive Pit.
He even recruited his old friend Sawagami Rinna to create most of Drive's arsenals and sought his mentor Harley Hendrickson to build a new Rider System that would surpass him as a safety precaution.]
"A Special Investigation Unit?" Tsukauchi questioned, looking at the emblem of this group.
[Yes, a special 'task force' solely created by the police back in my world to combat the Roidmudes.] Belt-san explained.
'As speedy as we can…' Yuriko repeated the Special Investigation Unit's motto in her mind.
ஜஜ
The Metropolitan Police Department's Special Circumstances and Incidents Investigation Division, often shortened to the Special Investigation Unit(Tokujōka) is a quirky short-staffed squad of police officers, with two of them actually outsourced help, established by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department to stop the Roidmudes and investigate bizarre occurrences possibly caused by them.
ஜஜ
Belt-san then produces a photograph showing all the members of the Special Investigation Unit, describing each of them to his audience.
The head of the team - Honganji Jun
Police officer liaison - Otta Genpachirō
The group's scientist - Sawagami Rinna
Network researcher - Saijō Kyū
But what really got everyone's attention were the last two members of the Special Investigation Unit, both possessing a certain resemblance to a pair of masked vigilantes…
"Wait… That's the same policewoman that was saved by Proto Drive back at the Global Freeze!" Ochaco pointed out, seeing that the woman was now dressed in a blue uniform similar to that of Yuriko's.
Shijima Kiriko - Police Detective
"S-Shijima?" Surprised, Tsukauchi looked at his female colleague. 'Now that I think about… Not only does she look like this other woman… But they both share the same surname as well!? And they are both detectives!?'
Having an idea of what was passing through her senpai's head, Yuriko simply shrugged in response.
"Coincidences can be quite freaky, can't they?" Yuuki tells the older detective.
But when the introduction of the last member came…
Tomari Shinnosuke - Police Detective and Kamen Rider Drive
Other than a picture of Yuuki's predecessor, Shinnosuke was also listed as a masked warrior and there was also an image of him in his Kamen Rider Drive - Type Speed armor next to it.
"Kamen Rider… Drive?" Izuku repeated as he and the majority of the kids had wide eyes upon seeing this information.
"What the… Another person with the same surname as Tomari!? And he is also a Kamen Rider as well!?" Tsukauchi comments in pure disbelief.
Okay, seriously…
What is going on!?
Once is an accident…
Twice is a coincidence…
Three times is a pattern…
[This is Tomari Shinnosuke… The one to take the title of Drive after Protozero. And my previous partner.] Belt-san explains as many gasped upon hearing this.
"And what is his connection with 'our' Tomari?" Tsukauchi asked, gesturing to Yuuki, before also looking at Yuriko. "And what about Shijima's situation?"
[As ludicrous as this may sound… This is nothing more than a mere coincidence. I didn't know about the similarities that Yuuki and Yuriko had with Shinnosuke and Kiriko beforehand.] Belt-san explained. [That said… I do believe that there must be a reason I managed to meet both of them. After all, we wouldn't have Kamen Riders in the first place if those two weren't around.]
Krim also came to the conclusion that there could always be the possibility that Yuuki and Yuriko were both counterparts in this world for Shinnosuke and Kiriko.
And maybe even reincarnations of the two of them…
But he wasn't ready to discuss this in front of everyone else yet…
"You have also just heard from me. Didn't you, Tsukauchi?" Yuuki speaks, grabbing Naomasa's attention. "I was adopted by Belt-san. That meant I was an orphan. I technically didn't have any family or relatives. I just happened to have the same surname as Shinnosuke-san. I was always alone and had no one else."
Many shifted uncomfortably at the mention of Yuuki's background.
[That's right. And Yuuki is the third Drive and my current partner. But in this world, he is officially the first Kamen Rider to exist.] The sentient Drive Driver adds.
'The first Kamen Rider…' Izuku ponders, tightening his fists.
What could he have done to have been chosen by Krim? Or would that never come to happen since he has found both Yuuki and Yuriko beforehand? What if Steinbelt couldn't have made use of them? Could he have been a candidate for Kamen Rider then?
"..."
Katsuki noticed the turmoil his classmate was going through but chose not to say anything.
'Even if that Belt didn't have Dark Drive and Tracer around, I doubt he would've chosen a wimp like you, Deku.'
Belt-san then resumes talking about the past events:
[Krim continued to supervise the upgrades to the Drive system and scouted out a new candidate, finding one in forlorn, depressed super cop Shinnosuke Tomari.
For about a month, he kept communicating with Shinnosuke while riding Tridoron until he found where the sound was coming from.
While the Drive Driver wrapped around his waist, Shinnosuke began to call him "Belt-san" and the latter informs him about the Roidmudes and how he must use the Shift Cars to fight them as the warrior Drive.]
Initially, the audience didn't think much about Shinnosuke given his 'lazy' attitude, but after learning of his backstory and how his former partner Hayase Akira got injured during the first Global Freeze, some felt pity for the second Drive.
{That vehicle… Tridoron…} David spoke. {When did you build it, Professor?}
[Shortly after the loss of Proto Drive.] Belt-san replies as he explains about the red Rider Machine's purpose to everyone and his reasons to build it, mainly gathering Mei, David and Power Loader's interests.
"And what about the black car?" Mei asked.
[That is the NEXTridoron. The successor of the Tridoron.]
{The successor… of the Tridoron…?} David asked.
While he was not showing it, the Support Items Designer was actually a bit downcast at seeing how both of the Rider Machines that Krim made seemed to be more advanced and impressive than the Allmobile he made years ago during his college days.
And it didn't help either that both Rider vehicles were apparently already completed before he even got to start his own advanced vehicle back then…
'Just how much of your true talents are you still holding back from the rest of the world, Professor?' David wondered as he kept looking through his mentor's creations.
[Everyone gets to see Shinnosuke managing to fully transform into Kamen Rider Drive - Type Speed for the first time before engaging some Roidmudes.]
"I see, so your 'user' transforms into a Kamen Rider using one of those Shift Cars, is that it? Interesting." Power Loader comments as he looks at Belt-san.
"But why the car motif?" Itsuka questioned.
She and some of the students found it silly how those Shift Cars could be easily mistaken for a bunch of toy cars.
"Yeah. Why? I mean, they kinda look like Hot Wheels." Eijiro commented.
Yuuki shrugged at that.
"There's no particular reason. Belt-san is simply too much of a car enthusiast. That's it." He explained.
"Ah, yes. David and I can also attest to it." Toshinori adds that, even back in their college days, they learned how Steinbelt liked cars a lot.
"And let's not even get started with the car collection he has gathered somewhere else in the manor's garage." Yuuki says next, surprising some in the audience as they wondered how much money Krim made to be able to afford such a thing.
At this, the detective/vigilante briefly thinks in regards to how his father told him about the First Drive Pit.
ஜஜ
The First Drive Pit is the original incarnation of the Drive Pit, built under a licensed center by Mr. Belt. It was later used as a storeroom, where Krim kept his collection of vintage cars, while at the same time secretly housing the Proto Tridoron.
ஜஜ
His mentor's fixation on cars was one of the reasons David wanted to impress his teacher by trying to make an amazing car in the form of the Allmobile…
'And the professor did praise my creation… But was he really being honest about it or just didn't want to make me feel bad?' David wondered, frowning slightly.
But he felt that now wasn't the time to confront Krim about this.
[The memory screen shows Shinnosuke deciding to fight alongside Belt-san, with the two of them and Kiriko joining forces to wipe the 108 Roidmudes.
The progress of the second Drive's evolution can be seen as he obtains Shift Cars that allows him to become Types Wild and Technique and also obtains weapons in the forms of the Handle-Ken and the Door-Ju.
When the Roidmude guardian Chase appeared, Belt-san realized that Mashin Chaser's appearance and powers were themed after Proto Drive, the first Drive. Ever since then, Krim doubted and was curious of what Chase had in relation to his first Kamen Rider.
This wasn't until the Special Investigation Unit's Christmas Eve ceremony in 2014, Belt-san witnessed Chase's Roidmude form and number, confirming that Proto-Zero is his long-lost comrade, who had mysteriously sided with the Roidmudes.]
"I can't believe… Mashin Chaser was the first Drive!? But why is he fighting for the Roidmudes now? Wasn't he Krim's companion?" Izuku wondered.
"Once a Roidmude, always a Roidmude I guess…" Monoma says, eyes narrowing suspiciously at the Plain Roidmude trio.
"Mashin Chaser…" Tensei narrowed his eyes at the familiar mechanical warrior's form.
"Nii-san..."
Tenya also heard about the incident involving the warrior and his brother, becoming wary of Chaser.
"Just a reminder, the current Chaser is not the same one from the other world." Yuuki reminds them.
"Right. Whoever he is, this person is also another Quirkless person." Yuriko adds. "The same goes for Lupin."
[The memory screen then shows Shinnosuke finally facing Heart for the first time, with the two of them getting into a fight in which the police detective was ready to sacrifice himself in order to take down the crimson monster with him.]
Seeing how the second Drive was willing to sacrifice himself without hesitation touched Toshinori's heart, making him remember how his own mentor Nana was willing to do the same to ensure his safety back then from All For One's clutches.
'Now that I think about… Krim's Drive Driver being entrusted from one individual to another sounds pretty similar to [One For All]'s ritual… Like passing down a torch of hope for the sake of the future…' The No. 1 Hero thinks as he looks between his protege and Krim's son. 'I see now… I finally understand what you meant, Krim… Both Young Midoriya and detective Tomari have been entrusted with great responsibilities of their own… The two of them seem very much alike despite the obvious differences.'
[The audience next gets to see the events of Movie War Full Throttle taking place, getting to see how Zoroku Tojo became the previous Kamen Rider Lupin alongside also learning about Kamen Rider Gaim and the threat of Megahex.]
"Wait, more Kamen Riders!?" Izuku and the others gasped. "Just how many of them exist!?"
[The honor of being the first Kamen Rider back in my world goes to Hongo Takeshi/Kamen Rider (Ichigo)#1, who made his debut back in 1971. Ever since then, the legacy of the Kamen Riders kept going on as several more defenders of humanity came after him. Even now, as we speak and while I'm gone from my homeworld, there are more Kamen Riders rising to stand up against all sorts of threats that keep appearing.] Belt-san explained as he gives a brief explanation about the history of the Kamen Riders.
"(Almost) All Kamen Riders are Quirkless Humans." Yuuki adds next, shocking Izuku and Katsuki. "All of their powers consist of high technology, science, ancient magic, space energy, or mystical civilization."
'Quirkless…' The inheritor of [One For All] repeated in his mind.
[The group gets to see how the second Drive eventually bested the first Lupin and got the title of 'Kamen Rider' back from the Phantom Thief.
After that, they saw how he and Gaim have teamed up to defeat the forces of Megahex, with both heroes trading powers with each other to obtain Drive - Type Fruits and Gaim - Drive Arms.
Lastly, the two of them and Belt-san literally headed for space on the Tridoron before blowing up planet Megahex.]
Needless to say, the audience was having a hard time processing everything that happened, especially the group's scientists.
Forget about the Multiverse Theory!
Now they were dealing with the existence of aliens and cosmic entities such as Kazuraba Kouta…
"Aliens… I can't believe aliens existed all this time…" Mina comments, still shaking her head in disbelief while also sounding delighted at the prospect.
"Oh, right." Shinra perked up as if he suddenly remembered something important before looking at Yuuki and Yuriko. "There's something I have to show you two."
The head of RD eventually came back to the auditorium with a briefcase containing the 'R' logo on it. In the meanwhile, the rest of the Drive Team prepared a table on the stage to show their whole arsenal for their guests.
The Shift Cars, the Signal Bikes and the personal weapons used by both Dark Drive and Tracer…
There were also three Mach Driver Honoh on the table.
One was the model used by Yuriko while the other two's purpose had yet to be revealed.
Naturally, Mei wanted to check and inspect each of them, but Yuuki stopped her from doing so…
"For the last time, no." The ravenette told her, starting to sound annoyed with the young inventor as he scowled at her. "I'm starting to lose my patience with you, Hatsume."
"C'mon, please! Just let me take one look at these babies!" She argued. "Don't be stingy!"
Yuriko briefly blushed at the way she spoke, despite soon understanding what Mei meant.
"I see that you guys are quite interested in them, huh?" Shinra spoke with a tone of amusement as he presents the briefcase to the Rider detectives, proceeding to open it and showing its contents to the vigilante duo.
"These are…!" Yuriko widened her eyes in surprise.
"Legend Rider Signal Bikes and Shift Cars." Yuuki finished.
ஜஜ
Legend Rider Signal Bikes are Signal Bikes that are based on the motorcycle-themed Rider Machines of previous Kamen Riders in the same fashion Signal Mach and Signal Chaser are based on their associated Riders' respective motorcycles.
When used in the Mach Driver Honoh, it gives the sound for a Signal Exchange into Legend.
One such Signal Bike, that of Kamen Rider Faiz, appears in Super Hero Taisen GP: Kamen Rider Sango(#3), where it inserts itself into Kiriko's Shift Car Holder just before she and Shinnosuke were consumed by the phenomenon emitting from the History Modifying Machine. This resulted in Kiriko's original memories of her timeline not being altered.
It later appears in the concluding episode of the three-part D-Video Special: Kamen Rider Yongo(#4) where the Great Leader of Shocker transformed into Faiz via Signal Legend Faiz.
ஜஜ
There are currently 16 Legend Rider Signal Bikes, 15 of them representing the Heisei Era Kamen Riders that came 'before' Kamen Rider Drive while the 16th one is a representation of Kamen Rider Ichigo's Double Riders' New Cyclone.
"Are these Signal Bikes for me?" Yuriko questions Shinra, inspecting the Legend Rider Signal Bikes.
"Of course." He confirms. "Considering the upcoming battles, it is necessary for you to increase your arsenal rather than just relying on the Signal Bikes and Shift Cars that already exist. I just happened to finish them last night after reading some notes that Krim gave me. I gotta say, the trickiest part was managing to combine Wizard's magic power and Fourze's Cosmic Energy with Core Driviar technology."
"W-Wait, what!? M-Magic!?" Power Loader repeated incredulously.
{Also, did you just say Cosmic Energy!?} David comments next, equally stunned.
Mei only grinned at what she heard.
Magic!? Cosmic Energy!?
The endless possibilities were opening before her!
Tachibana Shinra's role also consisted of being a helper of sorts by aiding the Drive Team in making new weapons for them, with Belt-san supervising for him whenever it is necessary.
The tanned man then turns to deliver the new Shift Cars to Yuuki.
"Here you go, Yuuki."
"Thanks, Shinra."
ஜஜ
The Legend Rider Shift Cars are based on the abilities of the previous Riders.
Yuuki received three of them:
Shift Fruits - Allows Drive to transform into Type Fruits, equipping him with the Musou Saber and Daidaimaru as well as enabling him to use Kamen Rider Gaim's abilities. The current one in Yuuki's possession is a new copy since the original one used by the previous Drive disappeared after the events of Movie War Full Throttle. Belt-san somehow made a new one from the leftover data of the original Shift Fruits.
Shift Legend TriCyclone - Based on Kamen Rider 3's TriCyclone: Allows Drive to activate a Legend Rider Tire Exchange. When used in the Drive Driver, it gives the sound for a Tire Koukan into Extra Car.
Shift Legend Ridoron - Based on Kamen Rider Black RX's Ridoron: Allows Drive to activate a Legend Rider Tire Exchange. When used in the DX Drive Driver, it gives the sound for a Tire Exchange into Ridoron.
ஜஜ
"There's also one more gift for you, Yuuki." Shinra tells the detective before giving him one more Shift Car.
"This is…?"
The Shift Car looked like a recolored version of Proto Drive's Shift Speed Prototype. But rather than being black colored, this Shift Car was multi-colored, having the same colors as that of Drive's Types Speed(back part), Wild(middle part) and Technique(front part).
This is Shift Speed Wild Technic(Shift Trinity), a Shift Car that represents the combination of Kamen Rider Drive's basic three forms(It's a Toy-Exclusive Shift Car).
"An upgrade for you and Krim to make use of." Shinra clarifies to the Rider. "Given how you guys will run into the rest of the Executives from now on, it's best to be prepared for the worst scenario."
"Right." Yuuki nods to him in appreciation before taking the new triple-themed Shift Car.
"Hey, what about the rest of us?" Sekijiro calls as they look at the Pro Hero and everyone else from U.A.
"What about it?" Shinra questions, raising an eyebrow.
"Can't you give us some of these Shift Cars?" The Blood Hero questions.
"And why should we?" Yuuki questions.
"Well, how are we supposed to fight back against the Roidmudes then?"
The detective snorted, acting as if he heard a good joke.
"What's so funny?" Aizawa questions, frowning at the vigilante.
"I think you guys misunderstood some things." The Rider spoke with an amused expression before getting serious. "When did we say that we would be openly sharing our technology with you?"
"What?"
"Are you still on to that?" The detective asked. "Don't you remember what Belt-san just said to you a few minutes ago, Eraser Head?"
[You don't get it, Eraserhead. Do you? More weapons don't solve problems, they just make things worse! Giving technology recklessly to you people is not the solution!]
Aizawa simply glared at Yuuki while the detective just gave him a Cheshire grin.
"So do you expect us to stay with our arms crossed while the Roidmudes are attacking people?" Midnight questions the Rider next.
"Let's say we give you something to move during the [Slowdown]. So what?" Yuuki starts. "Your power is pretty much shit against them, Midnight. It won't work on androids. The same goes for Eraser Head's Quirk."
"..." Both U.A. teachers in question did not have a reply to this, simply cursing inwardly as they glared at the ravenette.
[That's enough! Bickering amongst ourselves will get us anywhere.] Belt-san stops them before things escalate any further. [But Yuuki's right. As it stands now, the Pro Heroes don't stand a chance against the Roidmudes. Even if they could bypass [Heavy Acceleration, it still won't be enough.]
"And who are you to decide what we can or can't do?" Present Mic questions the scientist. "We're heroes. We still have an obligation to fight back against the villains. Even if they have some sort of advantage over us. But this can be easily solved if you just shared your stuff with us, Mr. Steinbelt."
"Then what do you plan to do when Terminus shows up again?" Yuriko asks as everyone in U.A. stiffened at the mention of the Executive. "How do you plan to defeat enemies like him?"
"And it's only a matter of time until more Roidmudes like him, who can render all Quirks useless, appear." Yuuki adds.
"That's… I…" Mic's voice was gone as he could not answer that.
"Are you sure you can't make a Driver for the heroes?" Power Loader questions Krim once more.
[What's the point of making something that none of you can use? There's simply no point. Whether you like it or not, the answer lies within the Quirkless people and their potential.] Belt-san replies.
All the guests got angry or upset by those words, Yuuki sent them an apathetic expression while Yuriko was looking at them with pity.
'Quirkless…' Izuku thinks before an idea suddenly pops into his mind.
Maybe he could…
But before the boy could speak, Belt-san resumed replaying his memories…
[The group checks the memory screen where they finally learn of a new Kamen Rider - Mach. His identity is that of one Shijima Go, Kiriko's younger brother.
Alongside that, there was also the appearance of the previous 009 Roidmude: Medic.]
Opinions of Go's attitude were varied, some liked his cheerful and carefree attitude while others were disapproving of his need to 'show off' several times.
"Mach… And he uses the same Driver as that of Tracer." Mei notices as she looks at the device around Mach's waist.
"Yeah, that's the Mach Driver Honoh." Yuriko explains with a proud smile as she shows her personal Driver and Signal Bike, explaining how they work to everyone.
"Do you also happen to have a brother, Shijima-san?" Tsuyu asks the female police officer, wondering how much were the similarities between her and Kiriko.
At this, Yuriko's smile briefly faltered before she replied:
"I… No, I don't have a brother. Nor any siblings… At all."
Yuuki frowned at the way his partner vaguely answered the teenager's question, but decided to ask her about it later. Given that Tsukauchi's Quirk also didn't react, she was telling the truth.
Was Yuriko simply upset at being an only child or was she hiding something?
{By the way, I noticed that you have three Mach Drivers there on the table. Why is that?} David questions next.
[One of them is obviously for Yuriko.] Belt-san starts. [The second one is for Yuuki.]
"Why would you need a second Driver?" Mei questioned the detective in question.
"There's always the possibility that I get separated from Belt-san at some point. I have to be prepared for the worst." Yuuki explains. "And so, I will be forced to fight on my own. Other than the Drive Driver, Belt-san already trained me to properly handle the Mach Driver as well."
{I see.} David says, looking at the Mach Driver and wondering if such an item could be mass-produced.
But he felt that it would be unwise to ask his mentor now about this.
While nobody was looking, Yuuki briefly paid attention to the NEXTridoron (car) Key that he carries around with him.
His secret weapon for emergencies…
ஜஜ
The NEXTridoron Key is a car key-shaped object which acts in a similar manner to the Shift Cars/Signal Bikes/Viral Cores, albeit lacking in sentience.
As its name implies, the NEXTridoron Key allows the user to control NEXTridoron, such as by calling it to their location. It can also collect data from Kamen Rider Dark Drive, even allowing the user to transform into a special form of Dark Drive when they insert it into the Mach Driver Honoh.
The NEXTridoron Key's original purpose is in fact to serve as backup data of Krim's consciousness, should the original one within the Drive Driver be destroyed.
ஜஜ
"I see…" Izuku says before he notices the last Mach Driver.
Was it a spare one or…?
"What about the last Mach Driver?" Momo asks the question he wanted to speak about.
[The last Mach Driver is reserved for someone else.] Belt-san replies.
"Who?" Mei asks.
[To the person that can become the next Mach.]
"Eh?"
The audience then sees Signal Mach passing through them before landing on the palm of Yuriko's hand.
[We are also looking for someone to fill the position of Kamen Rider Mach.] Belt-san explains. [But as you can see, we didn't have any success so far. And our chances of doing so seem very slim considering the rarity of Quirkless people nowadays.]
Many become uncomfortable at the reminder that only Quirkless people could become Kamen Riders. With some of them actually wanting to fulfill the empty Mach position to help in the fight against the Roidmudes.
"But what about me? Can I become a Kamen Rider?"
*Gasp!*
Hearing the familiar voice, everyone turned to face Izuku.
The boy was looking at Belt-san with an expression of resolve.
[Ah, yes. You. I almost forgot about you, Midoriya Izuku.] Belt-san addresses the kid. [You used to be Quirkless before gaining [One For All] from Toshinori, right?]
Now everyone could see where this was going…
And an idea suddenly formed inside Sir Nighteye's mind.
If the boy gave up the Quirk and passed it to Mirio…
"If I give up my Quirk and lend it to someone else, I could also turn into a Kamen Rider once I become Quirkless again." Izuku theorized.
Yuriko was surprised by his decision.
"You… Are you willing to become Quirkless once again?" She asked, looking at him in pure disbelief upon seeing no hesitation in his eyes.
While Yuriko and Yuuki were initially absent when Toshinori began to explain about his (and Izuku's) Quirk to Krim, she and Yuuki were listening to him from another room in the manor before joining them in the auditorium.
She liked being a Kamen Rider, but there would always be a part of her that wanted a Quirk…
That she longed to be like the others around her, with a Quirk of her own…
Would she be able to make such a decision if she were in Izuku's place?
'Young Midoriya…' Toshinori looked at his pupil in wonder, once again being impressed with his resolve.
"..." Even Yuuki was impressed with the courage present within the greenette boy, smirking at him in respect.
"In that case, what about entrusting [One For All] to Mirio?" Mirai suddenly asks as all eyes turn to the blue-eyed blonde in question.
"M-Me?" The 3rd Year repeats, still trying to get used to the idea that he would have become All Might's original successor.
All Might could see why his former sidekick wanted him to meet his young protégé. The blond 3rd Year was very similar to him.
A bit too similar if he were being honest.
But with Izuku possibly intent on utilizing the power of a Kamen Rider to help against the Roidmudes, and his time as the Symbol of Peace growing short, he was running out of options in terms of successors.
"Indeed, Mirio. I've always wanted to introduce you to All Might due to my past as his sidekick, but it wasn't until recently that we could get together to do so, among... other things." Sir Nighteye stated, a little more relaxed than usual.
While there was a bump in the road with Midoriya Izuku, he was glad that All Might and the green-haired boy now saw the error of their judgment.
Though something about it seemed a little off...
"Yeah, I think it will be fine if Togata-senpai gets [One For All] after all." Izuku adds.
Some of his classmates seemed to be in agreement while others were upset at not being chosen.
But in the end, everybody seemed to agree that the 3rd Year seemed to be the next best choice to inherit the powerful accumulation Quirk.
"I see..." Mirio said as he looked between his kouhai, All Might and his own mentor. "I'm honored that you all chose me-"
"Good," Sir Nighteye said. "Now then, I think that we have enough time to help you acclimate to [One for All], and-"
"- but I have to decline the offer," Mirio finished.
"Excuse me!?" Sir Nighteye said, aghast at what his pupil had just said.
All Might stared at him with surprise (and relief, with a side of guilt), as the blond rubbed the back of his head.
"I've been working on improving my usage of my Quirk for so long, and I feel like there's so much more that I still have yet to master with it," Mirio explained. "But as incredible as having [One for All] and becoming your successor sounds... I want to be a top-ranked hero on my own terms."
Everybody was surprised, not expecting the boy to actually refuse the offer. Who in their right mind would turn down such a chance!?
It's something that only happens once in a lifetime!
"I see..." All Might said, rubbing his chin in thought. "As much as I need to find a successor, I don't want to force the position onto you if you-"
"No! Mirio, you heard about how important [One for All] is, don't you realize that it needs to be passed down!?" Sir Nighteye said, standing up.
This was the first time Mirio was seeing the stoic man getting so heated.
"All Might's time is nearing an end, and he needs a successor!"
"But does it need to be me?" Mirio asked. "I mean, even with all the progress I've been making, I'm still not the best student. I've got a long way to go."
"Of course! You're the perfect person to take All Might's place as the Symbol of Peace! Mirio, you-"
"Sir, is this why you picked me?" Mirio said, as he began to connect the dots.
"I- Well... yes," Sir Nighteye admitted. "But you have to understand, Mirio-"
"Did... did you not really believe in me being able to become my own hero?" Mirio asked, making All Might's former sidekick freeze. "Was all of that training just to prepare me to become All Might's successor?"
"It's... It's not like that. I'm looking out for your future and for All Might. The world needs a Symbol of Peace, and I thought that-"
"- that I couldn't reach that on my own?" Mirio said, his eyes now glued to the floor. "Even though you've been training me?"
Sir Nighteye stood there, silent as he tried to think what he could say.
"H-Honestly, I don't blame you," All Might said, rubbing the back of his head. "Even though I inherited [One for All], I respect the desire to become a hero on your own terms..."
"Thank you, All Might," Mirio said, looking up before giving All Might a polite bow.
The young man next faced his mentor.
"Sir… I... I need some time to think."
Sir Nighteye stared at Mirio for a bit before coughing into his right hand, seemingly accepting his pupil's choice before nodding in understanding.
He then gave both Mirio and Toshinori a look of concern.
"I'm not lying when I'm saying that I'm thinking for both of your futures. So I'd like for you two to think about it as well. That's all I want." Mirai said softly.
"Right… Say, I don't think passing [One For All] to a person with a Quirk is a good idea."
All eyes now turned to Yuuki, wondering what he meant.
"All Might, I need to be sure, how old were all the most recent holders of [One For All]?" He asks the Symbol of Peace.
This got everybody even more confused.
Where was he trying to get to?
"Hmm? Do you mean when they died…? My master had been in her early thirties," Toshinori explained. "31, to be exact. The one before her had been…"
He frowned.
"My memory is foggy on it but it was a man by the name of En."
"Hmm, and, I need to know, did any one of the former holders of [One For All] die due to being 'overburdened'?"
Wait, what?
Gran Torino frowned at that.
"You think there's a danger to it?" He asked Yuuki.
[Hmm… There might be a possibility that this indeed seems to be the case now that Yuuki brought it up.] Belt-san adds his input.
The sentient Drive Driver begins to remember how the danger of being 'overburdened' was indeed true when it came to the compatibility of the Rider System between Quirkless people and individuals that have Quirks.
There was also another proof in the form of the Nomus, which considered that a 'regular' human body could not support multiple Quirks without undergoing extensive modifications through surgeries and other experiments.
Could this problem also apply to [One For All]?
"Not to someone without a Quirk, no," Yuuki said as Nezu blinked in surprise along with Nighteye and Recovery Girl. "When I think about it, with just how powerful [One For All] is… I don't think it's safe for such a thing to fall into the hands of someone with a Quirk."
"... Oh," Yuriko flinched as he nodded. "I-If Tomari-san's right, he means the fact that there'd be no room," she realized as Nighteye covered his mouth, eyes wide. "Do you know about a user who… j-just 'expired', All Might?"
"I'll need to check," the man said with a grimace. "If there's evidence of this, that'd make this entire situation direr," All Might realized as Recovery Girl grimaced.
"The amount of Quirkless people in the world is shrinking," she said. "Needless to say, if this ends up leading somewhere concerning… there may be, at best, one more chance for [One For All] to be passed down."
"No way…" Izuku whispered as his classmates looked at him in concern.
So does that mean he was indeed the best choice to get All Might's Quirk after all?
"Fuck..." Yuuki cursed, scowling at the news.
The group let that sit for a moment, All Might frowning…
"... I can't believe this situation got so difficult," Gran Torino grimaced as he looked at Yuuki. "While it'd be true, a person with a Quirk could still hold it for a time, young man. There are options, Nana, the previous holder, had [One For All] for over ten years."
"The one with the higher number outside of All Might is the fourth holder, correct?" The detective asked. "... yet, [One For All] was never that strong in their time, was it?"
He countered as Gran Torino frowned before groaning.
"I-If it gets too powerful," Yuriko said. "Then would it even matter if a Quirkless person got it?" She asked.
"It'd still last longer," Nighteye explained as Nezu nodded.
"Right now, [One For All] is beyond powerful, All Might's power is noted amongst the entire world," the principal explained as the group nodded. "Think about that, that's a power that no Quirk user alone could match. Not even Endeavor's Prominence Burn could handle All Might at his best, it's that big of a change."
"So, a Quirkless person is the best option. How ironic." Yuuki said, chuckling bitterly. "Well, I think that if anyone deserved it, it'd be someone who wants to be more like All Might than most kids that can be taught, trained, and given the knowledge to finish things," he added as Yuriko frowned.
"What do you mean-" Her eyes widened and she suddenly grew paler and the atmosphere grew tense.
"It's obvious, isn't it? If [One For All] becomes too powerful, it can't be handled anymore. It'll be utterly useless and All For One has to be destroyed before that time comes."
The words had been said and Nighteye grimaced as All Might nodded.
"He's right… I never truly considered it, not a lot," Toshinori said. "But even ignoring that, the fight with All For One... The longer things go on, the more powerful he becomes. Look at me, this was our current fight when I was at my best but what happens if he's capable of recovering enough to even be a quarter of how strong he used to be? No, even before knowing this information, I should have said something and made sure we solved this."
Yuriko then gets distraught as she suddenly remembers that there was also the problem with the Roidmudes no longer being limited to 108 Cores, becoming a bit depressed.
"... I-I can't…" She grimaced as her partner placed a hand on her shoulder. "... I'm sorry for being so fragile right now."
"Don't." He comforts her.
"I knew you'd say that… but, still, you're right," she ran her hands through her hair constantly. "Uggghhh! If I'd been able to put myself into the mindset faster, I might have just told you to push through but now we're in this mess."
"Well, to be fair, there's not no hope," All Might said with a hum and smile as the group blinked at him. "There's one other person I know who has the power to handle All For One, even when I was at my best. The Number 1 Heroine of America, Stars and Stripes and her Quirk, [New Order]."
Gran Torino blinked.
"Wait, you met such a person?" Sorahiko asked, confused, as his protege chuckled.
"Yes, she's become quite fierce since I mentored her ten years or so back? I believe."
"Huh… someone who got mentored by All Might?" Yuuki asked Yuriko, who nodded.
"I've no doubt she's more powerful than we could imagine, but she is still in America. I doubt their government is going to take kindly to us possibly repurposing her services for a villain they've no real idea about," she said as Recovery Girl nodded.
"Sadly, it's the truth. We'll have to do our best to ensure that All For One is defeated," Chiyo said.
"There's also another problem with green bean here trying to become a Kamen Rider." Yuuki says as he gestures to the 9th holder of [One For All].
"What? Is there another problem with my Quirk? Or with my body?" Izuku wondered.
Yuuki looks at the boy with a serious expression.
"Well, no. No, there isn't. The problem is… You don't serve to be a Kamen Rider, kid. You are not fit for the job. Because you simply don't have the right 'mindset'."
"W-What!? What do you mean, Tomari-san?" The greenette asks back in shock.
Yuuki sighs before speaking:
"To become a Kamen Rider requires more than intelligence or physical aptitude. Many people can be either smart, strong or both. But only a few of them would have the resolve, willpower and the courage one requires to become a Rider. And frankly, the problem is, Izuku, you are lacking in the last part. You're emotionally 'unstable'."
"W-What? I… I lack in these parts?" Izuku repeats before looking at the police detective in denial. "No! That can't be!"
"It can't be?" The Rider parroted. "First of all, you literally said to us that you're not ready to kill, just a few moments ago."
"And what's wrong with that?" Iida said, conflicted, as he came to his friend's aid. "I understand that the Roidmudes were killing people for their sick amusement. But, as a Hero, shouldn't we be on a higher moral ground?"
[*sighs* There will come a time where you need to make a hard choice as a hero] Belt-san said, reminding them of the gravity of the situation. [There will be a time where you have to make a choice in which whether someone lives or they die.]
"But…" Izuku tries to protest, but Yuuki cuts him off.
"The fight against the Roidmudes is not your typical hero vs villain battles. Not at all, no. We're talking about an actual 'war' between humanity and beings that want to wipe us all for the control of this world. If you lose, you're dead. But everyone here should prepare to give themselves the best odds of survival. Unfortunately, reality can be very ugly."
"..." Speechless, Izuku could only grimace at the Rider's words.
"It's true." Toshinori said, "Throughout my career as a hero, there were few times where I had to kill a villain to protect civilians or because they were just too dangerous to keep alive. Not only All For One."
"Indeed, students." Nezu spoke up. "Even us Heroes need to make such actions. But we hope none of you ever have to come to make those choices."
The other pro heroes nodded their heads in agreement.
But they still felt that the students shouldn't need to make such choices so soon…
Yuuki then brings up another issue:
"And there was that moment when Terminus revealed the secret behind [One For All] for everyone back at U.A." He says as Izuku flinches. "I remember how you broke down into tears after that as you could only sob in response and apologize."
This actually made the Rider feel a bit bad about bringing it up against a fellow Quirkless(Well, former Quirkless. But not that it mattered that much.), but he couldn't go back now.
"While understandable and a normal reaction, this proves that you're 'unstable' right now. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that crying is a sign of weakness. Far from it. It's perfectly okay to let it all out whenever you feel the need to do so. But you definitely have to sort out your feelings or you won't be able to move forward." The Rider advises.
He partly felt that he should at least try seeing the green-haired boy as a kindred spirit of sorts…
"And lastly, I think you should try growing a 'spine', Izuku." Yuuki warns before looking between the boy and Katsuki, narrowing his eyes at the red-eyed kid.
The ash-blonde teen soon got the feeling that whatever the detective said was not going to be good for him.
Izuku notices this as well, actually getting concerned for Kaachan.
"I have checked your background, Izuku. I know about your time at Aldera Junior High and the bullying issues you went through." He starts before noticing how both Izuku and Katsuki were choking at his words. "All because you used to be Quirkless."
Some of the students began to catch on at the implications while the teachers frowned at this.
"Bakugo used to bully a lot, didn't he?" Yuriko gently asks the green bean.
Yuuki then remembered something Terminus said back at U.A. High…
"The boy was beaten down and berated for his dream! By one Mr. Katsuki Bakugo, who feared the potential this Quirkless boy had, and so decided to beat his dream out of him to remain the best! The years go by, and he's almost but given up hope! But as luck would have it, one man found that spark of heroism. One man saw that potential. One man chose to pass his unique Quirk onto him."
"What!?" Some of their classmates cried in disbelief.
"..." Aizawa frowned at this.
When he thought about his two students' respective profiles, some pieces were starting to make sense from the interactions that he saw between Midoriya and Bakugo…
Their relationship was far from being similar to that of Kirishima and Ashido's case, the pair also coming from the same Junior High.
One last push from Yuuki…
"Bakugou's history is completely clean, too clean, while Midoriya's is riddled with black marks and notes of misdemeanors. I believe we can all say that all this is, if I may speak plainly and without formality, bullshit." Yuuki says flatly before looking in disgust at the blonde young man in question.
"It is a documented, yet often glossed over fact that those of the Quirkless population are mistreated and discriminated against, almost as much as 'Villainous' Quirks, like Blood-related Quirks, and mutant Quirks. Izuku Midoriya's demeanor and scars are likewise proof of these facts." Yuriko adds, looking at the green-haired teen with pity.
"W-Wait! It's nothing like that! I swear!" Izuku tries to argue back, some of his classmates looking in surprise as it seemed that he was apparently prepared to actually defend Katsuki, which was something that shocked most of Class 1-A.
"Stop." Yuuki cuts him off, raising a hand to silence Izuku. "Look, kid. First of all, let me make one thing clear: I don't care."
"W-What!?" Everyone looks surprised at the reply that came with a dry tone.
"Tomari-san?" The greenette also looked at him in uncertainty.
"I don't care if you plan to justify Bakugo's actions or not. I don't care if you're going to become his enemy or friend. I don't care if he is punished or not." Yuuki clarifies. "Whatever the case, I'm not here to give you a lecture or anything of the sort. I'm simply here to give advice about what you should do. Whether you will listen to my words or not, it's all up to you. This is simply not my problem, it's yours. If you don't wish to deal with it then I will not press any further. You're free to do whatever you think is the best."
This makes Izuku hesitant as he receives mixed looks from everyone else.
"The problem here is that you should at least learn to stand up for yourself more. Try to become more confident and not let others push you around. You seriously need to work on that if you wish to improve." Yuuki warns. "Otherwise, everyone else will simply keep taking advantage of you and trample on your feelings."
Truthfully, Yuuki actually saw how Izuku shared a lot of traits with Yuriko. Both seemed to have a strong sense of justice and kindness within them.
But the difference was that the boy was very naive while Yuriko was not…
Izuku certainly had the heart in the right place, but not the necessary 'drive' to step forward and do the things that others aren't willing to do…
Things that only those that become Kamen Riders are willing to do…
And both police officers were so used to dealing with horrible people like Katsuki that they eventually got tired of it, learning to let go of it.
It simply wasn't worth it to deal with racist people like them that seem to think about Quirk supremacy, that the better you are depending on how powerful your Quirk is…
"I... I understand," Izuku sighed, looking down in defeat.
He knew that he was still hung up on his admiration for Katsuki, and that it wasn't healthy, like what some of his new friends have been pointing out. But he spent so long chasing after him, seeing the explosive boy as the strongest person there is.
So who else could he look after?
That is when he stops to realize that there were new people that he could also pay attention to…
'Tomari-san and Shijima-san…' The greenette briefly thinks.
Indeed, those two were Quirkless. But unlike Izuku, both of the police detectives seemed to not mind about their 'condition', surprisingly acting as if they were proud of their birth 'defects'.
Well, considering their status as Kamen Riders, it was pretty understandable why…
Although, it also hurt to hear from them that he couldn't become like them simply because of his current personality…
Before being done, Yuuki then gives one last look at Katsuki:
"But don't think I'm done with you. We will be having a talk after this, punk."
"..." Katsuki only glared back at the police detective, gritting his teeth in frustration.
"Bakugo Katsuki will undergo anger management courses with Mr. Hound Dog." Nezu decided to speak as some of the others nodded in agreement, shocking the boy in question. "As well as perhaps therapeutic counseling given the last incident where he underwent what was clearly a panic attack of sorts by Terminus.
Midoriya Izuku-kun will likewise take this counseling, given his bullied past and similar events. In addition, we will proceed to investigate and work on the legal action against Aldera Junior High and all previous educational faculties the two boys attended. Is that in agreement?"
Truthfully, the principal was already considering several sessions with Hound Dog because of Terminus' attack at U.A. and how he managed to emotionally hurt several of his students there. It seems that Nezu now simply has another reason to do so in order to also keep an eye on Izuku and Katsuki's situation and other similar occurrences.
[The group then resumes watching the events in the memory screen, showing how Protozero was brainwashed by Freeze, Heart and Brain (and later again by Medic) to become Mashin Chaser and adopt his human form of Chase.
They then get to see how Mach's Ride Macher and Chaser's Ride Chaser could be combined together to become the Ride Crosser.]
"I wonder…" Mei started before giving a look at Yuriko. "Is your Ride Tracer able to combine with either Mach or Chaser's bikes?"
The policewoman simply gave a sly smile in return to the pinkette inventor.
"Sorry, but no spoilers."
Mei pouted at her vague answer.
[The audience next gets to see the debut of Kamen Rider Drive Type Dead Heat and Kamen Rider Deadheat Mach through the use of Shift Deadheat, the new upgrade allowing them to stand a better chance against enemies like Heart.
They next get to see the memories involving the previous Roidmude 072, who took the form of Saijo Kyu before getting killed by Medic.]
Everyone turned to face Shinji, who was now sporting a solemn look.
"So… I think you must all realize by now that the original 108 Roidmudes, with the exception of Heart, Brain and Medic, were revived in this new world with memories of our previous lives. I'm no exception to that rule." He tells them before changing to his Plain Bat Type form, the number 072 present on his chest plate.
Apparently, according to the Roidmude's new leader, the 'Mastermind', they were all revived in the new world with their previous lives' memories because that could help in their evolution progress.
"And do you still plan to do what you tried in your previous incarnation? To now coexist with humans?" Tsukauchi questions him, looking warily at the android.
"I do. That is why I decided to leave the Roidmude's Organization once I fully recovered my previous memories." 072 then gestures to Kanade and Shinra. "The same can be said for these two. They had ends similar to mine at the hands of Medic. That's why I convinced them to come with me and seek protection from Krim."
"We were betrayed… Betrayed… Forgotten… Abandoned…" Kanade muttered with an icy edge on her voice, clutching the side of her arm as she looked away.
"That doesn't excuse the fact that you harmed people in your past lives." Vlad King points out. "Why should we trust you?"
"Yes, we did. You're right." Shinra admits, adopting a guilty look. "But we never actually killed anyone in the previous world, unlike the rest of our kind. The same for this world. We technically never committed any crime here, aside from identity forgery. And we don't want to cause problems here either. We just want a fresh start."
"What about your current appearances?" Power Loader asked warily. "Did you do something… to the people whose looks you based on?"
[You can rest assured about that. They did not copy anyone's looks. Their identities are definitely original of their own. I used a software to help make their appearances.] Belt-san explained as the guests sighed in relief. [And it is also thanks to them that we mainly know about the Roidmude threat in the first place.]
"What do you mean?" Tensei questioned.
"If we didn't know about the Roidmudes beforehand, we would all have been caught off guard. Like most people did during the Global Freeze in Belt-san's world." Yuuki says before looking at the Roidmude trio. "But thanks to them, we were warned of the threat before things could escalate any further. It gave us time to prepare ourselves against them. And that's why I decided to become a Rider to fight them."
(Flashback)
The detective remembers how he met the Plain Type trio on a rainy night, a few years ago, when they showed up at the entrance of Steinbelt Manor and he was still a little kid. At first, he was scared and wary of them. But once his father confronted the rogue trio and determined that they were not a threat, young Yuuki decided to later give them the benefit of doubt.
Some years passed since then and Shinji, Kanade and Shinra also became part of their 'family', taking the role that Chase used to have as new Roidmudes that were now allied to humanity.
(Flashback ends)
"I also noticed now, but you also share the same surname as Saijo Kyu-san, don't you?" Yuriko questions 072 as he assumes his human form. "Is that your way of remembering the person that you befriended? A homage of sorts?"
"Yes, that's right. I will never forget about the bond I had with Kyu." Shinji replies, smiling fondly.
Eventually, the guests decided to also give the Plain Trio a chance, although most of them would be still keeping an eye on Shinji, Kanade and Shinra.
[The next memory finally shows the final showdown between Drive and Chaser, with the former defeating him with the debut of the Type Formula form and the use of the Trailer-Hou.
Next, the group gets to see that Go has been having self-confidence issues since he wasn't the one to defeat Mashin Chaser. But the younger Shijima eventually overcame his own problems and managed to completely master the power of the Dead Zone provided by Shift Deadheat, using it to defeat the Shoot Roidmude.
After Go restores faith in himself, he is able to control this form's Berserk Mode by repeatedly hitting the Boost Igniter until the reading on his DH Kourin maxes out, which significantly boosts his stats, making him just as powerful as Drive's Type Formula. He also gained enough power to expel the poison from the Shoot Roidmude's enhanced attacks. Alternately, he can access the Berserk Mode without repeatedly hitting the Boost Igniter.]
Many in the audience get saddened at the first news as they believed that Shinnosuke, Kiriko and Belt-san failed at trying to save Chase and convince him to become a Kamen Rider again. And having no other choice since apparently trying to reprogram Protozero was impossible, they believed that killing him was necessary.
Also serving as a mercy act of sorts…
As for Izuku, he was thinking about his own self-confidence issues and saw that he should try fixing it, using Go's experience with Shift Deadheat and his mastery over the Dead Zone as an example.
'Tomari-san is right… I need to change… Not just master [One For All]...' The boy thinks deeply.
[The next memory scene on the memory screen shows the events of Ninninger VS Kamen Rider Drive, Super Hero Taisen GP – Kamen Rider Sango(#3) and Kamen Rider Yongo(#4), showing how all three of them were somehow connected with each other.]
The audience not only gets to learn about the several Kamen Riders that came before Drive and the origin of the Legend Rider Shift Cars and Signal Bikes that were in the Drive Team's possession, but also apparently about another group of heroes simply known as Super Sentai.
But that is a story for another time…
[Everyone next gets to learn that not only Chase apparently survived the battle against Shinnosuke, but a new type of Roidmude appeared - the Fusion Evolved ones.
Following that, the memory screen then shows a person that would prove to be a major pain in the ass for everyone at the Special Crimes Unit: Nira Mitsuhide.]
"So Chase survived, huh?" Tensei comments. "I suppose it's a good thing since he gave a sample of his body to the Kamen Riders, allowing them to separate those Fusion Roidmudes back into people and the regular ones."
"Those fusion forms though… It is bad enough that the Roidmudes could cause so much trouble on their own… But to think that they could even recruit criminals here now and give these Neo Viral Cores to fuse with them…" Toshinori shuddered at the idea of a Roidmude fusing with All For One, fearing what sort of abomination would be created as a result.
{And apparently, only the Kamen Riders can separate the people fused with the Roidmudes?} David questioned as Belt-san confirmed it.
[Indeed. But thankfully, my system and the Mach Driver are already equipped with the program necessary to do so. While we will do whatever is necessary to stop our enemies, we will never do something that could result in the death of the humans that fused with the Roidmudes if it can be helped.] Belt-san assured the guests as they seemed to sigh in relief at this information, glad to learn that the Kamen Riders were not entirely cold killers in regard to those that they fought against.
"This Nira Mitsuhide though… How could someone like him even be allowed to become a police officer?" Tsukauchi comments in disbelief. "And I can't help but feel that there's something quite fishy about him, especially given the way he treats Tomari Shinnosuke…"
'Oh, you have no idea…' Yuuki thinks dryly, frowning at a picture of Nira.
[The group next gets to see that Chase thinks for himself, finally taking his own decisions as he decides to become a guardian of humanity once again, this time by becoming Kamen Rider Chaser and being equipped with the Shingou-Ax.]
"No way… He… Chase actually decided to be a Kamen Rider again?" Itsuka asked aloud as all the students were equally taken aback by that.
"Well, I hope this at least proved a little the idea that there are 'good' Roidmudes, kids." Kanade tells them with a smirk.
While some decided to concede her a point, others were still looking warily at her or with a scowl.
"Do you think that the new Mashin Chaser also has the Signal Chaser with him?" Tensei asks Yuuki. "Do you think he can become the silver Kamen Rider as well?"
"Maybe he could, but it's still too early to confirm that." The detective replies.
[The screen next shows the new enemy that stands before the Kamen Riders - the Freeze Roidmude(001) - Aka Makage Shoichi. Not only he manipulated things from the shadows, but he also had a hand in the murder of Shinnosuke's father - Tomari Eisuke.
At the same time, Go went AWOL and kept distance from the Special Crimes Unit since he refused to accept and work with the newly returned Chase, still treating him as an enemy.]
"I can't believe that the Japanese Secretary of Defense, in the other world, was a Roidmude in disguise." Aizawa comments in annoyance and horror before turning to face the Drive Team. "Am I to assume that the same is happening here?"
"Unfortunately. As we said before, the enemy already infiltrated several key spots in the government and other important parts of our society." Tsuragame replies. "They have spies even amongst the heroes' ranks."
"It can't be…" Midnight tries to deny it but she only received distraught looks in return.
[The audience learns a shocking truth: Kiriko and Go are actually children of Krim's former associate - Professor Banno, the creator of the Roidmudes.
Feeling some sort of responsibility, like Krim, Go wanted to eliminate all original 108 Roidmudes before his sister Kiriko learned the truth about their estranged father.]
"No way… They were related to Banno? How much of a coincidence can that be?" Ochaco wondered as all eyes now turned towards Yuriko, making her feel uncomfortable.
How much was she similar to Kiriko?
"So... About your parents…?" Neito tried to ask.
"I... I don't want to talk about it." The detective speaks, sounding hesitant.
"No no no, this sounds important," Neito said, getting up. "Just what-"
"Don't press the issue, brat." Yuuki suddenly said, frostily. He also gave an intense glare that further frightened the blonde. "She's not ready to talk about it."
"B-But-"
"Monoma, please, we can ask when she's ready," Itsuka said, putting a hand on her friend. "Sorry about that, I think we're all still processing this..."
"It's alright." Yuriko replies with a strained smile.
No, it wasn't.
'Yuriko…' Yuuki looks at his partner in concern.
[The group eventually gets to see how the Special Crimes Unit learned 001's true identity, with Shinnosuke intent on going after the Roidmude that 'killed' his father. They also learn about Freeze's abilities to manipulate people's memories.]
"I see… So that's what you two meant back then…" Toshinori says in realization as he looks at Belt-san and Yuuki.
He touches the spot where the needle got him, trying to feel the accursed thing.
But it was in vain...
[Even if you aren't a Roidmude, you are already 'compromised', Toshinori. Freeze got you.] Belt-san says solemnly as the Symbol of Peace nods grimly.
"Can't you make an antidote of sorts for All Might and all the people affected by Freeze?" Nezu questioned the Drive Driver.
"It's not that simple… Do you guys remember about the so-called epidemic from ten years ago?" Yuuki suddenly brings up.
"I do… It was apparently a new type of Virus?" Recovery Girl wondered. "It had a 90% mortality rate. The entire country was in a panic. And the entire population was tested."
"Yeah. The government released information about the virus and mandated the tests. But in the end, no one was infected."
"Was the entire thing perhaps orchestrated with another goal in mind?" Tensei questioned, receiving nods from the Drive Team.
"Yep. And worse, the same thing happened back in Belt-san's world." The detective Rider revealed.
"What!? Were the Roidmudes behind this too!? Why would they do that?" Recovery Girl questioned.
"It was to find people immune to Freeze's memory manipulation. And that's where our other problem comes into play." Yuriko adds as she looks at All Might.
Freeze wanted to capture and study why some people were immune to his ability, never managing to find a common cause to explain why certain individuals could not have their memories tampered with.
The Drive Team then explains to them how an antidote could only be made by extracting the needle sample's data from one of the victims. However, such a process was very dangerous and could easily kill the person with the needle inside of their brain.
Furthermore…
[We need to extract the needle sample from a person immune to Freeze's ability.] Belt-san explains as he thinks about the painful process Shinnosuke went through in order for Rinna to make a proper antidote.
He still had her recipe from back then, but they would need a new fresh sample in order to reproduce the antidote that could protect people from Freeze's needles.
[And like Quirkless, finding a person immune to Freeze's power is very rare.] Belt-san says. [Aside from me, Shinji, Shinra and Kanade, due to obvious mechanical reasons, only one other person here is truly immune to Freeze's power.]
"Who?" Izuku asked.
"Me."
All eyes turned to Yuuki, who raised his hand.
"But if possible, I would like to not have a needle inserted into my brain. Thank you very much." The male Rider replied sarcastically.
Most of the others looked at his attitude in disapproval, but there was nothing they could do about it if Freeze didn't meet Yuuki.
"You really can't try analyzing the ice needle inside of my brain then?" Toshinori pleads to Belt-san.
[Toshinori, you definitely won't survive this. Considering the state of your body, you will certainly die.] Belt-san warns him, making Yagi flinch. [You're not like Shinnosuke. Yuuki is probably the only other person capable of pulling this off without dying.]
Although not satisfied, the Symbol of Peace reluctantly decides to drop the matter.
[The memory screen then shows Drive Type Formula facing Freeze, managing to apparently defeat the polar-themed Roidmude with a shot of the Trailer-Hou.
However, the moment is short-lived as the 001 Core survived and finally attained his golden form, becoming the first Roidmude ever to reach Ultimate Evolution.
With his newfound power, Freeze proceeds to apparently kill Shinnosuke and Belt-san with a powerful icicle projectile.]
The audience gasped at this, many becoming horrified as they looked at Belt-san, who sported a pained emoji.
[But the next part of the memories showed that the Special Crimes Unit hasn't given up, they came up with a way to 'resurrect' both Shinnosuke and Krim, with Go and Chaser also doing what they could to help as the two of them momentarily set their differences aside.
They next get to see the birth of Kamen Rider Drive - Type Tridoron and how the new form was used to put an end to Freeze's evil after combining the masked warrior with the Tridoron.]
Some of the students cheered as they saw how Freeze was finally defeated, also believing that Shinnosuke avenged his father.
Mei looked at Belt-san in intrigue.
"Why have you not used Shift Tridoron so far in your battles?" She asks, pointing at said Shift Car in question.
"I can't use Shift Tridoron to transform because it's a form exclusive to Belt-san and Shinnosuke-san." Yuuki clarifies to her. "It's a symbol of their bond. It would be inappropriate of me to make use of such power."
{Well, then can't you try doing the same with the NEXTridoron?} David asks next. {To create a form that combines it with Drive?}
[Technically, it is possible. But there's a small requirement to do that.] Belt-san says.
"Oh, is that so? And what would that be?" Power Loader inquiries next.
"I would have to go through the same thing Shinnosuke-san went when Freeze 'killed' him." Yuuki explains with narrowed eyes. "I would have to 'die' and be resurrected with Belt-san around my waist, all so he could integrate his data with me."
The three inventors quickly regretted their curiosity after this, no longer planning to ask about the creation of a possible Shift NEXTridoron.
[The memory screen next shows that the circumstances around Tomari Eiji's death were far over, with the real murder revealed to be none other than Nira Mitsuhide. All because of the jealousy the man held towards Shinnosuke's father.
Not only that, Brain also finally manages to attain Ultimate Evolution after connecting with Nira's feelings of envy. The two of them then decided to work together to crush the Kamen Riders and destroy the rest of their allies.
However, thanks to Drive, Mach, Chaser and the rest of their comrades all working together, they managed to outsmart Nira and Brain's schemes, ending up with the former arrested while the latter was defeated and forced to flee.]
"I knew there was something wrong with that Nira man! He seemed too fishy to me!" Present Mic exclaims.
"His attitude seemed pretty much of a giveaway about his true colors…" Midnight says next. "But to think he would do all he did because of envy…"
"That man is a disgrace as a police officer…" Naomasa comments. "To think there are so many selfish and malicious people that would side with the Roidmudes without hesitation, regardless of the threat they pose to humanity."
"At least he was beaten in the end and justice was brought to Shinnosuke-san and his father." Yuriko says, trying to sound positive with the outcome.
[The next memory shows Medic's plan to help Heart attain his own Ultimate Evolution form, which included using their fellow Roidmudes as guinea pigs for her experiments.
Amongst her victims, there were two Roidmudes that ran by the designation of 025 and 031.
025 was the second Roidmude to receive the 'honor' of becoming a test subject for Medic's experimental project for the Roidmudes to reach Over Evolved, so as to achieve their goal of reaching the Promised Number. Given a dose of Honfleur Sunset, the secret sauce of the French restaurant, Suprême, 025 proceeded to go berserk, burning down a forest before being intercepted and neutralized by Kamen Rider Drive.
031 was the third Roidmude to receive the 'honor' of becoming a test subject for Medic's experimental project for the Roidmudes to reach Over Evolved, so as to achieve their goal of reaching the Promised Number. Given a dose of Honfleur Sunset, the secret sauce of the French restaurant, Suprême, 031 proceeded to go berserk, burning down a car park before being intercepted and neutralized by Kamen Rider Drive.]
Seeing this revelation, everyone turned to Kanade(031) and Shinra(025) as they finally understood what they meant earlier.
"You were both burned alive…" Izuku tells them, feeling sorry for the two of them.
"Yeah… Medic pretty much screwed up with us regardless of our loyalty to the Roidmude cause in our previous lives." Shinra tells the guests, sporting a bitter expression.
"We were just tools for her." Kanade says softly and with a sad expression. "But we didn't want our second chance to be wasted away like that. That's why we ran away with Shinji."
[The memory screen next shows that Heart wasn't happy with Medic's actions, furious that she was sacrificing their comrades with her Ultimate Evolution experiments.
But ultimately, Heart also forgave her since he understood the lengths of her devotion to him. Eventually, Heart finally managed to achieve Ultimate Evolution on his own, accepting Tomari Shinnosuke as a worthy rival for him.]
Eijiro and Tetsutetsu began to shout how 'manly' the relationship between Shinnosuke and Heart was as everyone watched the mutual respect that the two warriors came to have for each other despite still being mortal enemies.
[They next get to see the case with the Tornado Roidmude, with Banno being revealed as well to be still alive while in the form of a tablet that was previously in the possession of the Roidmudes before being taken away by Go.
While Banno's consciousness was restricted to the tablet, his AI was generally used to reset Roidmude Cores. Brain would take advantage of Go Shijima's connection to Banno by revealing the tablet containing Banno's AI, forcing him to go undercover just to reach closer to seize the tablet while pretending to serve the Roidmudes.
With Chase's interference in barging into the Roidmudes' hideout, Banno was ripped from Brain's possession by Go and they escaped. Though he was safe thanks to his son, Banno was still in danger and remained targeted by the Roidmudes.]
Naturally, everyone was still skeptical of Banno considering how he treated Heart before being killed…
[Despite him seemingly helping Go and the others, it turned out that he was manipulating them to achieve his own ends. After gaining control of one of the Ride Boosters, he uses it to attack the Kamen Riders and trash the Drive Pit.
Banno had his secret agent, Roidmude 004, steal the Drive Driver from him. Banno and 004 brought Mr. Belt to a makeshift lab, where they managed to replicate the Drive Driver's schematics. With the stolen data, Banno was able to successfully transfer his will into a new belt called the Banno Driver.]
"A black Drive Driver… He looks like Mr. Steinbelt…" Izuku muttered.
But why was this Roidmude 004 helping him in the first place?
[The audience gets to see that the next memory now tells about the events of Tomari Eiji, Shinnosuke and Kiriko's son from the future, and how Roidmude 108 evolved into the Paradox Roidmude in order to cause the Eternal Global Freeze.
And if that wasn't enough, they also get to see the 'first user' of the Dark Drive armor.
Next, Shinnosuke is shown destroying Belt-san because of a 'glitch'(caused by a chip Banno secretly implanted in him).
Following that, the 108 from the future later reveals how everything has been orchestrated by him in order to get rid of Krim, stripping humanity of one of their protectors.
Lastly, the audience gets to witness Shinnosuke and a revived Belt-san using Shift Next Special to access a form that combines the powers of past and future: Kamen Rider Drive - Type Special, defeating Paradox with a Rider Kick that makes use of the NEXTridoron.]
The guests gasped at this scene as they looked at Yuuki, seeing that the detective used the same Rider Kick as Drive Type Special to previously defeat the Terminus Roidmude.
But that wasn't their main concern now…
"Why…?" Izuku questioned him, looking at the police detective in confusion.
"Why, what?" Yuuki feigns ignorance despite having a feeling about what the greenette wanted to ask.
"Why are you using Dark Drive's armor!? That was the same form used by Paradox, wasn't it?" The boy insists.
He suddenly remembers the things Mashin Chaser told Yuuki back at Hosu City and now some things were starting to make sense…
"Are you implying that I shouldn't make use of Type Next's armor because it was previously used by Paradox?" Yuuki mockingly asks back.
"Yes/Yeah!" Almost all the students cried in indignation.
"That's stupid." He simply tells them back, further angering the group.
"What!?"
"So what? You think that just because someone or something 'looks' evil you shouldn't make use of it? What a load of crap. Haven't you heard of it before? You shouldn't judge a book by its cover." Yuuki lectures them, silencing the kids. "What matters is not the power itself. But the user."
Hitoshi feels a bit of understanding and appreciation upon hearing the man's words, but decides to not say anything.
Aizawa also notices the purple-haired shifts, pondering what the young man must be thinking.
"But still… Using the black armor now that we know of its origins… It is kind of unsettling." Toshinori tells him. "Why don't you use the same forms as your predecessor? They give a more 'positive' impression in comparison to your current armor. It has a better chance of showing others that they can trust you."
"Didn't you hear what I just said? Appearance is not everything. I don't care what others think of me. I will do what I must. And I don't want to hear you of all people lecturing me about 'appearances' considering the state of your body, All Might." Yuuki warns Toshinori. "You are lying to the people by technically trying to still look strong when that is far from being the case."
"I…" Toshinori faltered at this, his body sagging as he looked down.
"You don't need to go that far, Tomari." Naomasa gently scolds his coworker, prompting Yuuki to sigh before calming himself down.
"So… The NEXTridoron… Does it have this Time Road System installed in it?" Mei decides to ask as they change topics. "Can it really travel through time?"
{That car… I can't believe it's also a time machine…} David says next.
The Time Road System is a time machine created to transport Eiji Tomari from 2035 to 2015 in an attempt to avert the dystopian future overrun by the Roidmudes where he comes from. However, it was used by Paradox Roidmude disguised as him.
Suddenly, an idea pops up in Sir Nighteye's mind.
"Could you take the car at any time, at any moment?" He asks, eyeing the injured All Might.
The others seem to catch on with it, also wondering about the possibilities.
"Now hold on. That's not happening. Don't even think about it." Yuuki says with a stern expression. "That is not a good idea."
Mirai now glares back at him.
"Are you serious? How can you be so selfish now!? Imagine how much everyone would benefit if All Might is in a good condition! He wouldn't have to retire. Perhaps we could even take care of All For One as well!"
{Yes, that's right! Think about all the horrible things that could be prevented!} David argues. {What about all the people that got killed by the Roidmudes!?}
Despite accepting Izuku as his friend's successor, he also still imagined the possibility of preventing Toshinori's fall.
Toshinori heart's sank at this as he only imagined the possibility of using the time machine to actually prevent Nana's death.
[Calm down, everyone. It's not that simple.] Belt-san interrupts. [While we could get to a specific moment with the NEXTridoron's Time Road System, messing with the past can lead to horrible consequences.]
"What do you mean?" Torino asks the scientist.
[Changing a bad event in the past doesn't naturally lead to a better future. It's like the butterfly effect. A single change can later affect everything on a grand scale.]
"Butterfly effect?" Mina questioned.
"The butterfly effect is the idea that small things can have non-linear impacts on a complex system." Momo clarifies.
But some of her classmates look at her with dumbfounded expressions.
"The concept is imagined with a butterfly flapping its wings and causing a typhoon. Of course, a single act like a butterfly flapping its wings cannot cause a typhoon."
"Oh…"
Eventually, the audience decides to give up, albeit Nighteye and David still seemed reluctant about it. The latter is still thinking in disbelief about all the creations his mentor made, but that is still hiding from the rest of the world.
Can't Professor Steinbelt imagine all the good he would do if the world fully realized his talents!?
[The next memories shown are the events pertaining to Chase temporarily becoming a Super Mashin Chaser thanks to a Viral Core that the Angel Roidmude gave to him. But eventually, he decides to keep fighting as a Kamen Rider and defeats her.]
"An angel? That Roidmude could easily be a devil in disguise. Luring people with false promises." Ibara comments, frowning in disapproval.
[The next memory is now about Medic's plan to finally reach her own Ultimate Evolution and succeed in it.
At the midst of it, Banno hatches his own schemes, finally obtaining a body to host his new form as he becomes Gold Drive.]
"Now they have four Roidmudes that attained Ultimate Evolution…" Izuku says in horror as the audience learns about the truth behind the Roidmudes' Promised Number.
"Well, it's a good thing that Heart, Brain and Medic weren't revived in this case, right?" Sero comments, trying to lighten the mood.
"The current situation is not that much better." Yuriko says in dejection.
"What do you mean?" Itsuka questions the woman.
"Remember, the Roidmudes have the revived Freeze with them, who is already at Ultimate Evolution." Tsuragamae reminds them. "So what if the same is true about the Angel Roidmude?"
Many paled at the implication.
"They possibly already have two of the four Roidmudes necessary for the Promised Number." Aizawa says in realization, gritting his teeth in anger.
[Gold Drive goes after Brain and Roidmude 004 is revealed to be a copy of Krim, possessing the same level of knowledge as that of Belt-san.
Brain sacrifices himself in order to save the brainwashed Medic, getting killed in the process while Gold Drive's reveals his machinations to make use of a device called Sigma Circular.]
Some in the audience actually felt heartbroken after seeing how Heart and Medic were mourning over Brain's death while also getting even angrier with Banno as the madman just kept laughing at the 003 Roidmude's death.
[The memories then proceed to change to the final battle at the Special Defense Center, where the Kamen Riders team up with Heart and Medic to bring an end to Banno's machinations.
Chase sacrifices himself to protect Go, who then uses the Signal Chaser to become Kamen Rider Chaser Mach and defeat Gold Drive.
Drive and Heart face Banno's Sigma monster as they race against time to prevent the Global Freeze.
Medic sacrifices herself to heal Shinnosuke's wounds.
After Heart and Drive manage to destroy the Sigma Circular, Shinnosuke starts to faint as he falls out of the SSDC building, only to be rescued by Heart at the nick of time. Heart attacks his rival once he regains consciousness and denies the chance to co-exist with humanity.
Before he can attack Shinnosuke, Heart's injuries from the final attack on Sigma catches up to him. While admitting defeat, he wishes Shinnosuke to remember the Roidmudes as he dies peacefully after at least gaining a new human friend.
With Heart being the last Roidmude, all 108 of them were terminated at last as Krim's mission was finished.]
Again, part of the students felt bad for the way Chase, Heart and Medic died while also glad to see that Go managed to overcome his own problems and avenged Chaser and finally recognized Protozero as a friend, defeating Gold Drive once and for all.
"While the Roidmudes were malicious, it seems that true evil actually came from humanity. Ironically, they were just copying the behaviors they learned by observing the worst of people." Nezu comments in understanding as the students take this to the heart and try to reflect.
"Conflict, war, famine, death, suffering, inequality." Yuriko listed off. "All problems the Roidmudes saw on our planet that's presently happening. These are the data they are based on to evolve."
"But not in our case." Shinji says as everyone turns to face him and his two associates. "As a condition of having Krim's protection, the three of us had to undergo some changes. He modified us a bit to have programming similar to that of Chase."
"Does that mean the three of you cannot evolve anymore?" Power Loader questioned.
"No, we still can. However, we cannot use negative emotions like the rest of our kind." Kanade answered.
[Followed by both Gold Drive and Sigma's destruction, Belt-san went to the severely ruined Drive Pit, gathering all Shift Cars, Signal Bikes, and all of the Kamen Riders' arsenals to prepare themselves for a lockdown beneath the Drive Pit to ensure that no Core Driviars would fall into the wrong hands.
But before that, he bid his farewell to Shinnosuke and the Special Investigation Unit, all while he projected a hologram of his past human self and retrieving back the Shift Brace.]
"Wait… You… You just sealed yourself after the battle, Krim? Why?" Toshinori questioned the Drive Driver in disbelief.
[It's not like I would ever come to live life as a human again.] He replies solemnly. [Back then, my life as a human was over the moment I became this Driver.]
"Krim…"
{Professor…}
Both All Might and David looked at him in pity.
[During Shinnosuke's final case with the Special Division, there are brief moments where he imagined Mr. Belt being there. When Shinnosuke holds the Newton Ghost Eyecon, Mr. Belt momentarily appears around him, though it is unknown if it was actually him via the power of the Eyecon or if Shinnosuke was only imagining he was there.]
Izuku was impressed with the way Shinnosuke basically saved Kiriko's life without the need of transforming into Kamen Rider Drive, giving him the message that you don't always need a Quirk or a Driver in some cases to help someone in trouble.
'Could I even hope to become like them someday? I can't even become a Rider…' The boy thinks in self-doubt.
[Three months after Krim sealed the Drive technology in the Drive Pit, Shinnosuke is trying to move on with his life as a police detective and tries to find the courage to propose to Kiriko.
While investigating the link between a series of strange crimes to a temple, he meets his successor, Takeru Tenkuji, also known as Kamen Rider Ghost. Shinnosuke and Takeru end up 10 years in the past, and are unwittingly part of the events that led to the death of Takeru's father. During this time, he encounters the past Mr. Belt, and uses the Drive Driver to become Kamen Rider Zero Drive.
While in the past, trying to pass Eyecons to the future, Shinnosuke buries his ring box and tells Kiriko as a way to propose to her, in case if he cannot return. Returning to the present to battle the army, Shinnosuke realized that he cannot fight because he left behind the Drive Driver in the past to keep the timeline secure.
However, knowing he'd be needed, Krim brought all of the Drive arsenal out of storage for the fight.
After winning the battle, Krim returned to the Drive Pit Storage Bay. Kiriko revealed to Shinnosuke she was wearing the ring, thus accepting his proposal, and the adventure helped him get over his slump and move on to become an exceptional detective.]
The events of Super Movie Wars Genesis seemed to be enough to convince everyone that traveling to the past to change history was a bad idea given the temporary return of the Roidmudes.
The audience also got interested in seeing Kamen Riders Drive and Ghost fighting side by side as they teamed up to defeat the Da Vinci Gamma.
Lastly, most of the females in the crowd cooed upon seeing Shinnosuke and Kiriko's wedding, with many of them finding the bride beautiful in her dress as some imagined themselves in the woman's place.
'I wonder… Would I be able to achieve the same happiness as Kiriko-san… Wait… Do I even want that…? It's not like there's someone I currently like…' Yuriko wonders from her seat as she briefly took a look at her partner just as he was about to do the same with her.
Both police detectives quickly face the other side, feeling briefly awkward by the quick exchange of glances.
Unbeknownst to Yuriko, Yuuki was imagining the same thing as her, wondering if he would find happiness by finding someone suitable to become his life partner.
'Yuriko and I… We are just friends… Would she even be happy with someone like me…?' The man thinks, feeling briefly unsure.
[We are then shown some of the other events that Belt-san took part in, allowing him the remaining Heisei Riders that came after and even the newest ones from the Reiwa Era…
Fast forward to the more recent memories, the audience gets to learn that Krim somehow left the chamber he was sealed in, ending in the new world of Quirks with no idea of how he got there.]
"Wait, that's it? You simply popped up in our world? With no explanation?" Mei questioned the sentient belt in confusion.
[That's right.] Belt-san affirms with an equally puzzled emoji. [And the same must have happened to the Roidmudes. As for why and how? I still have no idea.]
[Having also regained his real body, Krim began to live a new life in the world of Quirks. It is revealed how he became a college teacher thanks to his knowledge and met young David Shield and his friend Yagi Toshinori. He is then shown being present at David's wedding and the graduation of his pupil, congratulating him before stepping down from his job as a teacher and leaving the US.
The memory screen next gets to show Krim leaving the United States to officially reside in Japan and make a family for himself there after founding Steinbelt Corporation. He was granted a place at I-Island, but turned down the offer.
He meets and takes a liking to young Tomari Yuuki, deciding to adopt the boy as they become father and son.
The two peacefully lived in Musutafu City together for some time until they met rogue Roidmudes 072, 025 and 031.
Eventually believing that the reason for him to come to the new world was because of the Roidmude danger, Krim makes his mission once again to face the mechanical menace and protect the humanity of his new life.
We get to see him training Yuuki to become Kamen Rider Dark Drive as this begins the fight in the new world for the future of humanity.
The audience then gets to see Yuriko joining the Drive Team as they saw all the battles that the Kamen Riders made a part of, finally bringing an end to all the necessary memories that were essential to be learned about, updating everyone in the progress.]
As the memory screen ends, the Drive Team gets to face everyone.
"So… Now what?" Yosetsu questions everybody.
[First of all, I would like everyone's cooperation here in order to deal with our enemies.] Belt-san says.
"Gentlemen, at times like these, our capacity to retaliate must be and has to be massive, to deter all forms of aggression." Chief Tsuragamae gravely adds.
"We understand. But that said, you can't expect us to not do anything while the Roidmudes are out there causing trouble." Nezu talks back. "We still need something to fight back. To at least have something to move during the [Slowdown]."
"You guys aren't ready." Yuuki says plainly. "Even if you could move, you won't make much difference in this fight as of now. You don't belong in this league yet."
[I'll… Keep this brief. You have traveled here today in search of knowledge-to hone your craft and perhaps acquire new skills. And when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people.
But I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose – direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this battle will prove that knowledge and your Quirks can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step.] Belt-san decides to tell the audience.
"And who are you to decide that!? We are heroes, we still have a duty to face those villains! Even if our chances of success are zero to none!" Vlad argued before glaring at Yuuki. "And then there's you, who is committing acts of vigilantism. Making a joke about us and our profession! Leaving the matter of killing the Roidmudes aside, why didn't you try to do things the right way? Why did you never try to become a hero!?"
The detective simply shrugged in response.
"Never been interested in this hero stuff." He says dryly. "Plus, my Quirkless and bullying background didn't help motivate me to get a 'heroic' heart either."
All Might opened and closed his mouth, unsure of how to properly answer. Frowning, he focused a little harder to see if Yuuki was trying to unbalance them, to take control of the conversation.
"I understand, but look at it this way: Being recognized as a hero can still help you more, one way or another. Your actions as a vigilante are just making some other matters worse. Causing all that collateral damage during your fights and ruining the Pro Heroes' reputation isn't helping other people's lives, it makes the citizens feel unsafe. And it doesn't help that criminals are also getting bolder because of this." The Symbol of Peace says.
Now the ravenette seemed strangely uncomfortable.
"Yeah… I've seen what it's like lately. Following the ruining of U.A. High's reputation, the crime rate rose considerably even here in Musutafu City." Yuuki admitted.
But shrugging his shoulders, he resumed:
"Usually, those we hurt, it's because of what they did to us or our citizens, so they got what was coming to 'em. This is new." Cocking his head, "Except, it's those other thugs who chose to go here and there and make trouble. But I'm not the one who said I'm a hero and promised to protect the city. Because that's what a hero does: saves the day. But I'm not one. I'm just some Quirkless guy. I will do what I must. I'm not going to make false promises around people and give them illusions that I'm their sole 'savior'."
With a sardonic smile he tacked on:
"Besides, if I kept solving everybody's problems, they'd never know how to do it for themselves."
"Some things are bigger than that," refuted Toshinori. "Sometimes you've got to stand for people when they can't stand for themselves, not just to fight back against the Roidmudes. Especially since more people wouldn't need to stand for themselves if you and your friends didn't do what you're doing."
Seeing the signs of the young man's conscience, the hero was doing all he could to remind him of his responsibilities to others.
Alas, Yuuki was already clearly looking bored at this sort of philosophy.
'Tomari-san…' Yuriko looked at her partner in concern.
Time and time again, she saw how Yuuki had proven he would do what he thought was 'right', not what others expected of him. Oh, he tolerated the authority of his superiors in the police force because he considered their rules that annoyed him to be just that: annoyances.
Nothing to raise a fuss about.
As a Pro Hero, Yuuki would be expected to adhere to the laws and customs of the Hero Public Safety Commission, and it would only be a matter of time before he refused an order on the grounds of it being stupid or unjustified, and someone would think he was bluffing.
From there it would be an inevitable downward spiral…
"That's ridiculously selfish of you!" Iida bursts out, and Izuku steps back in shock as his friend steps forward, arms flailing as he stares back at the cop in front of them. "You could do so much good with the Rider System! You have opportunities that hundreds in this country can only dream of, but to not even contribute to your police department's reputation is not only arrogant but-"
"You don't know me!" Yuuki yells, making Iida cut himself off as Izuku stares at the now angry man with eyes now a brilliant, burning silver.
The detective closes the distance between them, moving with a confidence that hadn't been there in all of their earlier interactions.
"I have nothing against you kids and your dreams about wanting to become heroes. But let's make something clear: Do not force your ideals on me." he spits out before ranting. "Everyone expects you to just do what everyone tells you to do, without any regard for what you want to do. Why is it wrong to make your own choices? Even if they're not popular, or even the most acceptable, I have a right to make them."
"O-Of course you do!" Izuku splutters, leaping in front of Iida without thinking and waving his hands, going straight into damage control - the soothing Kaachan mode. "It's not wrong to not take part if you don't want to, really!"
Meanwhile, Iida is already throwing himself into a bow.
"M-My apologies" he offers. "I have a tendency to jump to conclusions. I forget that not everyone sees things from my point of view."
"B-But really? You have something so much more powerful than almost any Quirk out there!" Izuku questions the officer.
At this, Yuriko finally decides to give her opinion on the matter.
"Iida-kun, all people are complex, they have more to them than any person can ever possibly know or read, but there is one thing most have in common. They want to create their own path, to have their own thoughts, regardless of how much the world affects them, pressures them, or suppresses them, they still want to decide on their own, what they will do, and how they will do it. And, there is nothing wrong with that." She gently tells the glasses boy before looking at her partner with a look of understanding.
She then looks at Izuku.
"And what about you? Why did you apply for U.A., Izuku-kun? You didn't have your Quirk before you applied. Before you even got to meet All Might."
...And there lies an entire novel that Izuku cannot easily explain to someone he barely met.
"I-I just always wanted to be a hero." he offers instead. "I wanted to make people happy, help save them with a smile. Be someone people could rely on."
"But you didn't have a Quirk." She insists, and Izuku grits his teeth, unsure of where this is going considering the conversation they just had.
"You don't need a Quirk to be a hero." he insists, and to his surprise, Yuriko smiles.
"I completely agree." she says, and Izuku flounders.
"But, then why-"
"Because you basically just told me that anyone with a powerful Quirk or being capable of transforming into a Kamen Rider should apply to be a hero. Regardless of their personal opinions and feelings." She explains. "And despite the fact that you applied without any at all. Without either of these options to back you up."
Izuku's eyes darted to the side…
"A hero is more than just their Quirk. Or their Driver." The woman states, noticing his discomfort. "You could have the most powerful Quirk or weapon in the world, and it wouldn't matter if you weren't the right kind of person."
The audience comes to think about her words, not having the way to entirely deny what she said. And considering the second attack on U.A., they had to acknowledge that they were ultimately saved by a group of Quirkless individuals, from all possible outcomes.
How ironic…
"I... I just have one more question for you, Tomari-san," Izuku said, fidgeting in place for a bit as he faced the black-haired detective. "Just... if there weren't Roidmudes in the first place, would you have tried to be in the Hero Course?"
"Nope," Yuuki said immediately.
"But why-"
"I just want to be the best person I can be, and I don't think being a hero is really for me, nor is necessary for that," The man said, shrugging. "I'm perfectly fine with just living my life the way I want. Sure, it's all glitz and glamor at first sight, but there's all the paperwork, the bureaucracy, the police contacts, the training, the regulations... It sounds pretty stressful overall. Not the life for me. What I would want is a happy and easy life. I wouldn't mind living a dull and ordinary lifestyle after everything I went through."
Neither Izuku nor All Might had any idea about how to reply to him.
Although Yuuki was Quirkless like them, he had a background far different from theirs…
The teens in the room stayed silent, and Chief Tsuragamae coughed into his hand.
"Either way, I hope you all respect Tomari's decision to remain in the police force, especially with his extra activities as Kamen Rider Dark Drive."
[It may not be now. But there will come a time when we will everyone's help here in our battle. For now, hone your skills and try to not get too reliant on your Quirks, everyone.] Belt-san advises them.
"... I suppose that I can't fault you for your activity in light of what we've learned," Tenya said, closing his eyes and crossing his arms. "I'm not happy with this, but considering the circumstances, I'll keep this a secret."
"Sometimes, I feel that I'm still not ready to actually commit to this or anything." Yuuki says before chuckling bitterly. "Heh. I'm not so noble as a person that I can promise to always risk my life for a complete stranger, just like I have done so far. And especially considering that I'm putting my life on the line to save the same kind of people that previously wouldn't have any qualms at discriminating me because of my Quirkless condition…
On the other hand, though… I could never just stand around and watch while someone else was being hurt. So, I'll help you all. At least, I will for now, with this work of mine, as a police officer and Kamen Rider."
"So…" he started off next casually. "What do you guys want to do with me?"
Everyone looked at him in uncertainty before Tsukauchi and Tensei soon stepped up with smiles on their faces.
"The amount of pain and courage it took for you, to tell us your whole story, is not the action of a man that is going to betray us." Tensei stated. "You also saved not only everyone back at Hosu. But also everybody that was made hostage during the second invasion of U.A. High. So, you have my trust and thanks for telling us everything." He said before he bowed a bit to Yuuki, who went wide-eyed at what the Turbo Hero did.
Given his own experience with the now former vigilante (Sky)Crawler/Haimawari Kōichi, Tensei realized that, despite everything he said, Yuuki was still a good person deep inside.
"Well, since you trust me enough to finally tell me about this, in spite of my position, I think I can do so," Tsukauchi said, sighing. "I can't say I approve of vigilante activity at all, but considering that we're facing literal androids with dangerous powers, I don't think I have a choice. Not like there actually are laws about how to deal with mechanical monsters."
"Krim. Detective Tomari. Everybody has their own secrets and yet you two were willing to share most of them, to be honest with us, and to gain our trust. My trust in you should not have wavered and never will it waver again, Krim." Toshinori said to the two of them.
One by one, everyone eventually started to give their support to the Drive Team.
"Yeah, there's like, zero gain in telling this to people, so I'm in!" Setsuna said, putting her hands behind her head.
"My lips are sealed!" Pony added.
"You can count on me to stay quiet!" Ochako said, nodding vigorously.
"We won't be telling anyone either," Itsuka said, glancing at Neito. "Right, Monoma?"
"... Right, Kendo," Neito said, gritting his teeth.
"This is quite the secret, but I understand the importance," Momo replied.
"..." Shoto silently nodded, his fists tightened.
He wasn't going to stop until Terminus was punished, for stabbing at the old wounds he thought he was growing over.
"Damn, I think my brain's about to burst from all that information," Denki said, rubbing the temples of his head.
"Nah, we'd know your brain's fried when you go 'wheeeeeeey'," Kyoka said, smirking while said blonde gave her a stink eye.
"We did just get the biggest history lesson of all time," Kosei said, stretching his arms and checking his legs.
"I think we got a lot more than we bargained for," Mina said. "Oof, I think I learned more about Kamen Riders and their enemies in one setting than I learned math in 5 years..."
"Fine, I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt." Aizawa nods to Yuuki.
"I haven't gotten to know you well, but if All Might and Shota say you're all right then you can't be that bad of a person." Present Mic added in.
"If you have the others' trust then I shall do the same." Midnight said.
"I may have opened up some old scars, but I will not deny that you have given a lot of secrets up to prove your own trustworthiness. Very well, I shall try to trust you as well." Vlad King admitted.
Yuuki may have injured him in the past, but the Blood Hero was willing to let it go and try to now give a chance to the police detective. Despite everything, he also felt that there was a debt to pay to the man for rescuing him and his students from Terminus.
"Everyone… Thank you." Yuriko says, feeling touched by their support.
They all next looked to Izuku, one of the last people to say anything.
"I need more information... I want to learn more about Kamen Riders..." Izuku said with a small smile, full of excitement, before looking through all the notes he took on the Kamen Riders.
Right, there was no need for him to specify his opinion any further…
His answer was already clear.
"Of course," Yuuki said, grinning back at the greenette.
Drive, Belt-san, Mach, Chaser, and so many other Riders before never stopped in the face of adversity.
Now it was his and Yuriko's turn...
"No."
The room turned and stared at Katsuki, who glared at Yuuki and Belt-san.
"Bakugo, what are you saying-" Eijiro began to ask.
"I'm not going to join this dumb group of yours." The explosive blonde declares, glaring at the police detective. "Not until I have a fight with you and the talking belt."
The Closing Screen of this chapter shows Shift Speed Wild Technic(Shift Trinity), Shift Fruits, Legend TriCyclone and Legend Ridoron, side by side, with the logo of Kamen Rider Dark Drive behind them.

Author Notes:
Thank you for reading!
If you guys have any ideas or suggestions that I could use for this story, you're free/welcome to share!
I struggled a bit to make this chapter. It definitely isn't my best one. But I still felt it was necessary to detail everything in it.
If possible, I would like all guest reviewers to identify themselves since this will make it easier for me to reply and for you all to check what I typed in response.
Question Corner!
(Please answer this in the Reviews if possible):
[I have no idea what to do in regards to U.A. High's Heights Alliance dormitories plan considering the events that took place in this story. The Hero Academy will have more difficulty convincing parents to let their children live there considering the attack made by the Roidmudes. Should this still happen just like it did in the anime? If so, what should Nezu and the rest of the U.A. staff do in order to convince the parents and the media about the school's safety?]
Review Time!
D3lph0xL0v3r: Thanks!
Just wait and see...
I hope the chapter has answered your questions about Shinji(Plain Bat Type 072), Shinra(Plain Spider Type 025) and Kanade's(Plain Cobra Type 031) situation.
Given that Chase won't appear in this story and Akira is replacing him as Mashin/Kamen Rider Chaser, I would like to use other characters to replace his role of 'good' Roidmudes.
Toa Solaric: Yep. And everybody involved in the second U.A. Invasion Incident got lucky that they recovered their Quirks after Terminus' defeat.
But I have plans for a later chapter, where a certain 'someone' gains the power to destroy people's Quirks.
And no, it's not the Terminus Roidmude...
With this idea, it would be interesting to explore the notion that some Pro Heroes and Villains become unable to access their Quirks and get the Deku treatment from Quirk society. Just as you suggested.
hafizfaishal1402: Here's the chapter. Hope you enjoyed it.
#2nd review: Maybe. But it had to happen at some point and it's really more convenient for me to have everyone aware now.
yogaratw607: Yes, I agree with what you said in regards to MHA.
No, I currently don't have any interest in making a Super Sentai crossover fanfic.
Unfortunately, in the MHAverse, there will still be discrimination against Quirkless because some people are simply natural 'assholes', like Katsuki.
But the people with Quirks, especially everyone involved in Terminus' attack, will slowly learn to adapt and not rely too much on their Quirks after they understand how little their powers serve to hinder the Roidmudes' actions.
Dr. Exposition: Hope you liked this as well!
And I agree with everything you pointed out in regard to Quirks and the Kamen Riders.
It will take some time, but even people like Katsuki will eventually realize their flaws and try to become better people. While Bakugo won't outright apologize for the harsh treatment against the Quirkless, he will at least acknowledge their unlimited potential.
Yes, the Roidmudes will prove to be a menace for everyone in the MHAverse.
I hope the chapter has answered whatever questions you may have about Shinji(Plain Bat Type 072), Shinra(Plain Spider Type 025) and Kanade's(Plain Cobra Type 031) situation.
Given that Chase/Protozero won't appear in this story and Akira is replacing him as Mashin/Kamen Rider Chaser, I would like to use other characters to replace his role of 'good' Roidmude.
Felipe1402XZA: Yep.
For'Sleep 3rd: Thanks! Glad you liked the chapter!
I suppose the boarding school idea has to happen nevertheless because the Roidmudes could practically attack them regardless of whether they are together or not.
I really don't know what difference I could make yet with Eri's situation, so I might not change her canon story in this fic until the point she appears in the proper chapter, in accord with the timeline.
Yes, I know that taking everyone to Steinbelt Manor might arise some suspicion from the other parties, but it was still a necessity considering what was explained during this chapter. It will help everyone in the long run as they grow closer and better prepare themselves to fight back against the bad guys.
The Roidmudes might know already about Krim's house, but they aren't dumb enough to invade his place. Considering how he died in the original Kamen Rider World, Krim has taken the proper measure to transform Steinbelt Manor into a heavily guarded place.
#2nd review: Sounds like a cool idea. Maybe I can make use of this premise in a future chapter. Thanks!
Guest DCDGojira: Thanks! Yeah, maybe I could make use of Lady Nagant, before her canon appearance in this story, as someone that can help Akira/Chaser. But I will have to think about it first.
Thanks for also offering more ideas about the Dark Drive x Shinobi crossover.
And I already decided that the characters from my Kamen Rider Kikai x Nier: Automata fanfic will come to Kamen Rider Dark Drive's world before everyone from Kamen Rider Shinobi's world. You will find out why later.
So yeah, I have at least two crossover ideas planned now...
Fiction Fan 369: No, it's fine. I understand.
Compared to my Ultraman GeeDxD fanfic, I actually have a better idea of what I'm trying to write in this story. And I was still learning to write fanfics when I started my older story. I feel like I have more experience now in comparison to before as a writer.
PhantomKnightPercival: Thanks! Well, I hope you also enjoyed this chapter.
starwing1995: Again, I still think that it's a random thing to bring up. But now I decided that I might have someone else make a joke about this to Aizawa.
zacker1590: Thanks! Well, I hope you also enjoyed this chapter.
And I believe this chapter answered your questions: Izuku will keep [One For All] because he can't become a Kamen Rider, even despite managing to somehow pass his Quirk to someone else. His body wouldn't be able to handle the Rider System and Krim would have refused to let him get a chance to try becoming one given his current emotional state.
Until the end of this story: Izuku will not become a Kamen Rider at any point. But I do have plans where he will be essential for Kamen Rider Dark Drive to obtain a powerful form that combines the abilities of the two of them.
SynchroRegis: Thanks! Well, I hope you also enjoyed this chapter.
It will take some time, but even people like Katsuki will eventually realize their flaws and try to become better people. While Bakugo won't outright apologize for the harsh treatment against the Quirkless, he will at least acknowledge their unlimited potential.
Obsidian Nova Arc: Yep.
It will take some time, but even people like Katsuki will eventually realize their flaws and try to become better people. While Bakugo won't outright apologize for the harsh treatment against the Quirkless, he will at least acknowledge their unlimited potential.
Izuku will also have a new way of viewing things given how he learned that neither Yuuki/Dark Drive nor Yuriko/Tracer showed much interest in trying to become Pro Heroes, unlike him.
You brought up an interesting point about Skeptic and the Seeker Roidmude. However, that will likely not happen since Roidmude 050 would need Nishihori Reiko(his former host) in order to obtain his red fusion evolved form. Without her, 050 cannot become the Seeker Roidmude. No matter what, not even on his own. He will have to take another route in order to evolve.
FlameFireZero X: No, I don't have plans to make sky and sea vehicles. I will just make the current Rider Machines have the abilities to be used in different situations.
Thank you for the Roidmude ideas.
#2nd review: Once again, thank you for the Roidmude ideas.
zSzSz: Well, I have revealed the reason for this in the chapter.
brave kid: Thanks!
The Knight Galahad: Thanks! I hope you liked this chapter as well.
I hope the chapter answered your question in regards to why a lot of people had to attend the meeting.
Yes, Krim will eventually 'ship' Yuuki with Yuriko, just as he did with Shinnosuke and Kiriko.
I don't know, I thought I have shown enough about the U.A. kids needing to vent after some of them had their secrets revealed. I really don't plan to make more chapter about them dealing with this topic and thought one was enough.
I thought it was important for Toshinori to let everyone understand the gravity of the situation and emphasize how dangerous All For One is. That's why he felt the need to tell everything, including the backstory part.
It will take some time, but even people like Katsuki will eventually realize their flaws and try to become better people. While Bakugo won't outright apologize for the harsh treatment against the Quirkless, he will at least acknowledge their unlimited potential.
I hope the chapter has answered whatever questions you may have about Shinji(Plain Bat Type 072), Shinra(Plain Spider Type 025) and Kanade's(Plain Cobra Type 031) situation.

Yes, David still hasn't surpassed Krim. Which will lead to a problem later in the future given that he will feel strong negative emotions that grab the interest of a certain Roidmude.
The people with Quirks, especially everyone involved in Terminus' attack, will slowly learn to adapt and not rely too much on their Quirks after they understand how little their powers serve to hinder the Roidmudes' actions.
Thanks for the form ideas, but I already made plans for two forms that Yuriko/Tracer will later make use of.
Kurogami Yaiba: Here's the chapter. I will always try to update as soon as I can.
Recentreader325: Glad you liked the previous chapter. Hope you liked this one as well.
555: Here's the chapter. I will always try to update as soon as I can.
VSX-2018: Here's the chapter. Did you like it?
#2nd review: Well, I hope you liked the way I showed everyone's reactions, in this chapter, in response to everything Krim had to reveal to them.
Austin: Thanks! I'm glad you liked the chapter.
Yes, I'm aware.
It will take some time, but even people like Katsuki will eventually realize their flaws and try to become better people. While Bakugo won't outright apologize for the harsh treatment against the Quirkless, he will at least acknowledge their unlimited potential.
Guest W: Hope you liked this chapter as well.
Not really sure yet if I plan to make use of anything related to octopus.
Maybe later...
Yes, 009 is the only female Executive. But there will be more female Roidmudes in later chapters.
TheOkWriter: No. I simply don't see any reason for this happening.
Guest: Yes, eventually.
Phantom Thief of Hearts: Thanks! Glad you liked the chapter!
1- There will come a time when all the Riders will join forces to face the Roidmude mastermind.
2- Yeah, not sure what I plan to do now with the dorm idea since U.A. is not really a safe place in comparison to Steinbelt Manor.
3- I supposed Melissa would come to see Krim as a grandfather-like figure since he was her father's mentor and all. I will try to develop that connection later when she finally gets introduced into this story. I have special plans for her.
4- Of course, David will take an interest in everything that Krim discovered and try to use this so that the Pro Heroes can eventually help the Kamen Riders later against the Roidmudes in a more meaningful way.
5- I hope the chapter has answered whatever questions you may have about Shinji(Plain Bat Type 072), Shinra(Plain Spider Type 025) and Kanade's(Plain Cobra Type 031) situation. Given that Chase/Protozero won't appear in this story and Akira is replacing him as Mashin/Kamen Rider Chaser, I would like to use other characters to replace his role of 'good' Roidmude.
6- There was another reason why everyone was invited to attend the meeting other than to hear what Belt-san had to tell the assembled group. I hope this chapter clarified why the kids were allowed to hear Krim's problems as well.
Lycrow: Maybe. I will have to think about it first. But I will definitely create a scenario later where a person with a Quirk tries to use one of the Drivers, only for that to backfire as they end up paying a terrible price for this dumb decision.
