And we are back again. Oh boy. This story, within a week has already surpassed my other stories in terms of Followers and Favourites! Thank you all of you for your support! And reading your comments has been a boost to my resolve in giving ya more content!
But anyways, we got comments to address before we continue Mordred's journey and I got some REALLY GOOD IDEAS coming right up.
UnknownEnemy1234: Yea I find it strange that when a SI gets inserted into a body of fiction, they still maintain full control over it. Mordred's influence on the protagonist is my way of changing it up for the story itself and showing the struggles and acceptance of said influence in time.
VGBlackwing: Where did she get the Lien? It is stated in the first chapter that the package that Mordred took from the dead huntsman that was participating in a corrupting scandal contains a tone of Lien. Just enough to keep Mordred sustained for months or even years should she manage it well.
Lance Eterna: Knowing that Zelretch was the one who brought SI Mordred to the world of Remnant, it is not wrong to say that he would bring more servants into the world to see how it goes. I'll not spoil much as I have plans to make.
As for Medusa lily? Yea she would insta kill Salem in one hit, question if she is actually going to appear in this story. Or even the first Hassan-i Sabbāh whose Noble Phantasm could impose the concept of death which should make Salem killable again. Heck! Even EA could obliterate Salem as well in one shot!
Jure (Guest): Who says that she has to find a master? The Relics are known to be magical in nature. As you can probably guess, should Mordred claim the Relic of Knowledge, she would have a magical power source and won't need a master. Of course, there are alternatives...
Guest 1: Well… Mordred is still magical in nature and she would be broken as fuck should she claim. It doesn't help that Servants out classed pretty much everyone in Remnant so giving aura to her wouldn't change much in terms of power level except no one could beat her. Ever.
SkyChaser17: Took a while to read your comment but thank you for your comment as usual! But perhaps I should give Mordred a new outfit in the future. Hmm...
RedBurningDragon: Well Mordred's body is more complex than a demi servant that's one thing for sure. You can blame Zelretch for that.
Gamingfury6124: Glad you enjoyed yourself. Well, from what I know, Servant outclassed pretty much everyone in Remnant in terms of power level so fighting them is basically suicide for everyone. Though as you could tell, Mordred was not fighting at her best and was handicapping herself on purpose as to not kill. So, raven lived to run again.
Alexander of the imperial Fist: Thanks for the complement of my improved writing! And yea, Grammar Nazis are a thing but if they come, I welcome their critique of my work.
Zekken182: Glad you enjoyed it!
DavianThule19: I agree! That's why I asked you guys on which arcs to choose due to both having your appeal. Bruh, using Pyrrha as a battery XD. At first, I was thinking of making Mordred a magic beacon as you put it, but happy with the result I chose. And yes, the lack of a master made Mordred unable to crush anyone under her unless she gets a magical power source. Lastly, everything is Zelretch's fault! Nothing will change that!
Zekken182: Yea, I can see Mordred doing that. Purposely pissing off everyone with her mouth.
Guest 2: Thanks, I can say that many people believed that this story had potential and thanks for the caution.
Guest 3: Giving Mordred a love interest? Perhaps, but the story has only just begun.
Guest 4: True but I always envisioned Zelretch as a big troll.
Dan1142000: Well Mordred is a clone of Arthur and I'm pretty sure that she should not have the Dragon core at all. I was busy checking all sources and dedicated Fate fans. None says that Mordred has the dragon core like her dad.
Sandmanwake: GIMMI YE FOOKING CLOTHES! Also, money, I guess. Seriously though, that sounds really funny.
Ok for those who had wished for Mordred to kill Raven. Heck some of you raised some very good points such as taking the Maiden powers for herself. (Though I am not so sure whether that would work… I need more time.) Others had pointed out that yes, Mordred should have crushed Raven with no issue but Mordred was holding back as she does not know where she is in the timeline. Should she kill Raven too early, it could have unintended consequences that Mordred would have to deal with in the future.
For now, at least.
Ok. Majority of those who had placed their choice in the review, have voted for the timeline to be pre-fall of Beacon. This is also including my decision which also favours before the fall of Beacon. Therefore, for those who had voted for the post fall of Beacon, I am sorry about that but the majority had spoken.
Anyways, all these comments took up two pages of the draft itself. I should resume the story, yes?
As with my other works, I do not own RWBY or any of the Fate series. All of them belong to their respective owners as such.
Chapter 3
Unexpected encounters
When I opened my eyes, I did not see the ceiling of my room, but I appear to be a medieval village of sorts? I looked down on myself only to realize that I was still in my pyjamas I bought just recently, but I then finally noticed that I was at the back of a crowd. Yet, villagers could be seen cheering and waving at someone, but my height made it rather hard to know who or what they were waving at. I then noticed a number of mounted knights parading slowly down the street. Yet…
They all look familiar…
Wait… Is that Arthur?
No… That's Artoria, she actually looks beautiful. Would I end up like her if my body is human?
Wait! Why am I thinking that way?
I snapped out of it as I could then see her, in all her glory, as well as several other Knights I recognized behind her. Tristan, Gawain, Saber Lancelot, Bedivere and many others in her circle.
Oh, and that dick wizard Merlin is there too. Yet… I could not see Artoria's eyes, as if they were shadowed. Heck, her emotionless expression is actually disturbing, at least to me. Yet, everyone else didn't seem to be bothered by it, as I could hear them cheering for their king to bring peace and security to Britain.
I then realized that I wasn't alone, as a young child wearing a brown cloak with her hood drawn was next to me the whole time.
How the hell did I miss that? It was then that I recognized that face of hers.
It was a much younger Mordred in medieval clothing underneath her hood, she lacked her armour or her rather exposed outfit that she had as her green eyes stared at the knights in admiration before she spoke.
"That is the King of Knights, Arthur?" She asked, her voice softer and more feminine compared to her current self.
"Are this Mordred's memories?" I thought to myself as the shadows of the alley started to shift as a pair of pale hands reached out and placed themselves on Mordred's shoulders as a taller blonde appeared.
"Morgan…" I mumbled. Yet, the world seemed to move on as if I didn't exist in it.
"Correct," She stated. "That's also the place you should aim for." Mordred turned to her; a questioning looks in her eyes. "And the enemy you must defeat."
Mordred looked back to her father with a rather nauseous look on her face. In my head, I can hear Mordred's thoughts, though it was rather strange to hear her thoughts in my head even though I'm here.
"I thought it was impossible. Because the King was beautiful and perfect. That's why I decided to follow him. I decided to become his sword and eliminate the threats targeting him." There was a sense of awe and admiration in those words as I turned and faced Artoria as she and her band of knights (And Merlin) slowly made their way back to their castle.
Yet…
I can feel that very same sense of awe and admiration for Artoria, as if it was my own.
It was then that everything began to fade away to darkness.
My eyes then snapped open as the ceiling greeted me. Bringing me back to reality.
Yet I was covered top to bottom with sweat as I grasped my head as I tried my best to understand what had just happened. That was Mordred's memory. But it felt so real as if I was there myself. That only brought more questions. I know one thing however.
I experienced my first dream cycle of Mordred. Servants and their Masters usually have the ability to relieve past moments of each other in dreams but... I do not have a master, so why did I relieve Mordred's memories? What the hell is happening to me?
Gah! This is too much for me. I then gaze on the alarm clock to my left which states that it was 12 in the morning. I however felt quite refreshed like I was when I first ended up in Remn…
...
"FUCK! This wasn't a dream!" I couldn't help but yell out loud as I jumped out of my bed and rushed outside to see the shattered moon in the sky in its shattered glory. My legs seemingly gave out on me as I collapsed to my knees as I gaze into the night sky.
"This is not a dream this is not a dream this is not a dream, FUCK ME!" I rambled in my head as I continued to stare at the shattered moon. I had hoped that this. All this was just a fever dream and that I would wake up the next morning back on Earth as if nothing had happened at all.
It was all for naught.
It did not take long for me to get myself back to my feet as I walked back into my room. However, I don't feel like sleeping anymore for now. I... I need a shower to hopefully forget this.
Yet, as I turned on the lights for the toilet, I could only see Mordred's face. A reminder that I am her and nothing would change that. It does not help that I am slowly losing myself to Mordred's influence. My heart sank as the boring yet safe life I had on earth would be forever gone now that I am in Remnant… Perhaps Zelretch could potentially send me back once I am done saving humanity? Ah, who am I kidding. That vampire would probably keep me here for shits and giggles. And who knows how he would fuck up the world of Remnant itself.
However, it's still worth the chance that I will go home. I have to confront him.
Personally.
Assuming he bothered showing himself as he promised.
But first a shower to refresh myself.
After my shower, which took a while because I needed some time to get used to the fact that I now possessed a woman's body. Oh, and my little brother is gone. Rest in peace little brother. You will be missed. Oh, and I gain tits in return so yay? I won't touch em as I doubt Mordred would appreciate anyone touching her petite breast anytime soon.
I was soon walking through the empty streets in the dark night. Most people would not do this as it was not safe at night in Mistral, however, I am not most people. I am confident that I can deal with whoever attempts to harm me. Besides, I saw a night market not far from my hotel and I still need information as to where I am in the timeline.
Of course, I am not dumb, as I still need to address my magical energy shortages. One way was to let it refill itself with time, since Remnant still have magic. I think. The other options include eating a lot of food to convert it to magical energy, forming a bond with someone or stealing the relics since all of them are fragments of the brother gods and, in theory, should have enough magic to sustain this body.
Or perhaps I should steal the Maiden's powers to sustain myself. But… that sounds wrong to kill someone just to benefit myself. I let out a sigh as I approached the night markets that were rather crowded. Shopkeepers could be seen haggling goods and food. Children could be seen giggling and running around while playing catch as their parents chased after them. But…
Why do I feel a sense of longing in my heart? I had a proper childhood yet…
I felt upset as I watched the children run past me.
I…
I don't understand...
I could only shake that feeling off as I encountered a vendor selling newspapers at night of all things. Not that I'm going to complain, it should help me (hopefully) figure out where I am in the timeline.
"Hey kid, what do you need?" The vendor asked as my eye twitched slightly when he called me kid. It was obvious he meant no harm but I guess Mordred was at it again.
"I need a newspaper to take home. The most recent to date would be nice to have sir. Oh! And a bag to carry stuff please." I said in response as he nodded.
"Sure, thing kid, though it is rare for youngsters like you to be buying newspapers. I suppose your parents asked you to buy for them?" Again, my eye twitched at his response.
"Yea…" I answered his question with a drag as he nodded and retrieved the items I asked for. He then retrieves a bag that matches in colour with my leather jacket. How kind of him.
"Here you go. That would be 25 Lien." A bit expensive for my liking but… I think I can get a better deal by haggling. Thanks, dad, for teaching me this stuff.
Time to put it to good use.
"Really now? I'm sure it could be lower don't ya think?" I countered as he gave a smile.
"Is that so kid? Name your price." The man seemed to be intrigued by my haggling as he played along.
"You got it at 17." Well, it was definitely too low and would no doubt get rejected but… it would put pressure on him. After all that's the point of haggling, yes?
"17, eh? That's too low for my liking kid. 23!" Down by two Lien? Not much but it can be better. Let's ramp it up!
"Nope! Still too expensive for my liking! 19!"
"21!" Though at this point we were starting to garner some attention from some of the bystanders who were curious on where all that shouting was coming from.
Whoops.
"20!"
"Deal!" Both the man and I yelled out as I gave him a grin before handing in the cash. Now that I think about it, Mordred has C- rank in Charisma. Maybe that helped me a bunch in my interactions now that I think about it.
"You're a good kid when it comes to haggling. Could definitely be improved but not bad. Not bad at all." He said as I took the newspaper and my new bag with me.
"Yea I appreciate it. In fact, that was my first haggling attempt." I added in and he actually looked impressed and proud as if he watched someone grow up.
Aw... how sweet.
Wait a minute.
"Really now? You did pretty good for your first attempt, kid. But you should get back to your home. There are some strange things going on as of now." He complimented me before giving me a warning? That is strange unless something fishy is going on. I just arrived here.
"Strange things? Tell me more as I wasn't aware of it." I asked him as he gave a thoughtful look before nodding to my request.
"Well kid, there have been cases of corpses of huntsmen and huntresses being found in alleyways of lower Mistral. Even more strange or terrifying if you were to go that way was that..." The shopkeeper seemed to pause to take a breath before speaking. I have a bad feeling about this… "Many of those corpses seemed to be drained dry… As if someone or something had consumed all of their aura and left them to die. It's just rumours, yet, there have already been at least 5 huntsmans that had been found dead this way in the last month. Even more obvious is that the areas in which the huntsmans were found had signs of combat and struggle."
"So, something attacked those huntsmens and consumed their aura just like that? And that whatever attacked them was strong enough to overpower them?" I asked as the shopkeeper nodded.
"Yes… Despite the fact that normal civilians were completely ignored by whatever attacked those huntsmans." Only attacking huntsmen and huntresses? And consuming their aura? The hell? Who the hell does that? I need to investigate this matter myself. There's no way I'll leave it unsolved when I have the power to stop it. Guess tonight will be an interesting night.
"Thank you, sir. I should be on my way." I said I began to walk away from the shop and back onto the streets as I could hear for the last time for now.
"Stay safe kid!"
Yet as I walked through the streets, I took out the newspaper that I just bought and had a quick glance through it. Turns out, I was placed before the Fall of Beacon. That's good I suppose, and from what I could tell, Beacon has just started recently and I have plenty of time. This would give me time to resolve this issue and deal with my lack of magical input in my system. I may soon have to get Raven, or more likely, force her myself to open the path to get the Relic of Knowledge. Whether she likes it or not.
Sheesh, what's wrong with me now? When did I get this ruthless? I think that sleep cycle I had earlier has affected me more than I thought...
Anyways, as I walked through the empty streets back to my hotel, I soon could feel eyes watching my every move. Yet, there was no one nearby when I looked around. I couldn't see who it was but I knew I was being followed by someone or something.
"This place gives me the creeps…" I can't help myself but mutter with distraught in it as I continue to observe my surroundings. However, it appears that I was correct when I heard a voice whispering into my ears with a warning.
Behind you.
Swish! Clang!
That was all I needed to know when I summoned Clarent and blocked a blade attack from behind that seemed to be emerging from someone's arm? The hell? Kars is that you?
It was then realized that I can't even see the attacker's face! Except for her golden eyes that seem to stare at me with indifference. They also have a faint glow to them, and her pupils are polygonal.
The fuck? That's not human.
"You are not a normal person. Re-evaluating options. Pulling back." That was what that woman said as she jumped up and onto the roofs and began to make her retreat much to my surprise at her attack and the pure audacity to flee from an ambush.
"What the!? Hey, get back here! You don't just attack people in the middle of the night!" I yelled as I jumped onto the roofs myself and began to pursue my attacker. Yet from the darkness alone, that woman seemed to be moving so fast that I had to use my mana burst to catch up to her, even then, she was still ahead of me much to my frustration. It doesn't help that I was chasing her on the rooftops as we slowly moved towards the lower parts of Mistral.
"Oi! Stop running! Or I'll make it worse when I get my hand on you!" I yelled out in frustration as we ran through the rooftops of Mistral, I finally noticed one thing about my attacker.
She looks familiar…
Who is she again? And why do those eyes remind me of someone?
Well, it appears that my target doesn't appreciate my threat against her as she seems to spin clockwise while throwing kunai at speeds that shouldn't be possible for a normal human. The only reason those kunai didn't hit me in the face or my body was due to my perception kicking in to allow me to dodge them.
Then it hit me as both of us seemed to arrive in the middle of a field court that had lambs all around.
"A servant? Here? How the hell did they end up here!? unless..." I growled in my head as now I have to deal with rouge servants that somehow ended up in Remnant?! Well fuck you Zelretch! But then the mysterious servant was revealed to me as the lights from the lamps revealed who she was.
The first thing was her clothing of choice. She is dressed in a Shinobi inspired design that does not hide the nature of her puppet origins, as showcased by her ball joints on her metallic limbs. She also wears a ridiculously long red scarf around her neck that seems to stretch down until it could touch the floor. Her black hair was also tied up into a ponytail by some cloth, while also possessing armour on her joints and a head ornament piece on her head.
Only one servant I know has that kind of look.
Assassin class, Katou Danzou. Or known by her people as Black Kite. Her outfit looks like her 2nd Ascension from what I can tell. Kind of fitting she ends up in Mistral… But how did she get here?
Or better question why?
At this point I was expecting a fight against her as my armour magically appeared all over me with my helmet on as well for more protection. Clarent also appeared in my hand as I slowly walked towards her.
It appears she doesn't like me approaching her as she then spoke with no emotion that alerts me. "Servant origin confirmed detected. Switching to battle mode."
"Tch! Fine then! You owe me for trying to use a cowardly attack on me!" I can't help but threaten Katou as I pointed Clarent directly at her emotionless face.
Katou however seemed impassive at my threat before she raised her fingers towards me with holes at them. It took milliseconds for me to remember that Katou Danzou can shoot from her fingertips! Shit!
"Not good! Gotta close the distance!" I yelled at myself as I dashed in with mana burst to the sound of gunfire shots that rained towards me. I began to dodge to the side only to see Danzou approaching at breakneck speeds with her arm blades.
CLANG! Bzzt! Bzzt! Bzzt!
I managed to use Clarent to block Danzou's blades as our blades clashed with sparks and the sound of metal meeting metal. At the same time, I let out a snarl. "What the hell is a servant doing here!?" Danzou doesn't seem to care as she disengaged from the clash as she did a backflip into the air. She then pointed all her fingers at me before firing a volley at me as I dodged to the side to avoid the incoming rounds.
How is she here and still operational? Did she kill those huntsmen and consume their aura? If that's the case, is she doing it alone? No can't be. Danzou is a mechanical doll that just abided by the orders inputted into her by her origins. Does that mean that someone is ordering her to be Mistral? But from the looks of it, she was waiting for someone…
Was it me?
I don't even know.
Like hell I'll leave her intact. Though I won't have much time. All this fighting would no doubt attract the local authorities. All I can do is to beat her and find out who is her master and with that, I let out a roar as I mana burst towards where she is going to land as I landed a mana infused punch towards her abdomen.
A couple of things happened when my punch landed on her.
One. She went flying far, really far. And like I mean she flew out of Mistral and into a nearby forest. Oops.
Two, the resulting shockwave shattered every single window in the streets near the area in which Katou and I were fighting.
And three, every house in Mistral lit up like candles much to my exasperation. So much for trying to keep it a secret.
I could only give myself a mental facepalm and a sigh before I sped off into the forest with Mana burst to avoid being caught by the local authorities who no doubt was on high alert. "I should really watch my strength… Ah! Who am I kidding!" I said to myself as I reached where Danzou could have landed. Oh look, a convenient sized crater!
"Oi you servant-like doll! Get up! I ain't done with you yet!" I yelled at Danzou as I jumped into the air and attempted to slam Clarent onto her only for steam to suddenly appear in the crater itself. Danzou then suddenly materialized behind me and sent her blades towards me. Unfortunately, I could not react in time as I was in the middle of winding up for an attack when she appeared behind me.
"Shit!" I yelped as she spun around at ridiculous speeds before slamming me from behind.
BANG! Bzzt!
"AHH!" I cried in pain as my armour managed to absorb most of the blows, but a chunk of it fell off before I could feel her metal blades digging into my back. I then responded by swinging Clarent at her, but Danzou jumped back before disappearing into the darkness of the night.
"Ugh. My back…" I can't help but groan while kneeling at the same time. I used Clarent as my support. At the same time. I could feel something flowing down my back. I knew that Katou would strike again, but where? Yet Mordred's instincts knew exactly where she was. Yet my mind was suddenly clouded with rage as if someone else decided to step in charge of my body.
Don't underestimate me, you sneaky brat! And with that my helm came down to reveal my very pissed off snarl as I channelled my mana to push my speed further than I ever did with it so far. Crimson electricity coursed through my body as I accelerated myself so fast that I managed to appear in front of Danzou who was quite a distant away with my blade already swinging towards her head.
Danzo's eyes widen for a split second before she manages to parry it with her arm blades. Though unfortunately for her, I then kicked her back before dashing up to her and grabbed her throat and slammed her against the tree near her.
"You are going to tell me who you are working for or else!" I threatened her as I held her by the neck against a tree while the tip of Clarent was against her throat. Danzou however, does not seem to be bothered that Clarent was near her throat but she does answer my question rather vaguely.
"Danzou serves her lord with fidelity. Danzou's mission is to seek and eliminate those who could threaten my lord." She answers without resisting. The hell? Why is she not resisting my attempt to interrogate her? Guess I can get some answers out of her.
"Who is your lord?!" I yelled out.
"Danzou cannot tell you. It would go against the wishes of my lord."
"Do not test my patience doll! Another question for you, why did you kill those people?!" I bellowed against her as I began to inch Clarent closer into her neck.
"This world lacks the necessary mana to sustain Danzou's body. A substitute is required. They possess it." Is she talking about aura? This is new… So, aura can act as a substitute for magical energy huh, interesting but. Who is her lord? Could it be Salem? No, it can't be. It must be someone else that is ordering her but what?
However, my attempts to get more information from Danzou were put to a stop when I noticed hordes of Grimm heading straight for Mistral. No doubt they were attracted by confusion and panic that…
Wait…
Panic?
Oh no.
I did that huh?
Well shit.
I could only let out a sigh as I tried to process the whole thing. My interference and encounter with a servant had already wrecked an entire field as well as causing panic and confusion among its citizens. It does not help that I could stop this horde from reaching Mistral but if I were to do that, there's a chance that attention could be drawn onto me and Danzou could flee and inform her 'lord' about me.
Whoever he/she is.
Damn it! Why can't things be simpler!
Guess I got to go with it. And with that, I dropped Danzou onto the floor as I turned to face her while folding my arms as Clarent temporarily disappeared. "I hate to do this, but I need your help. There are lives at stake, and you and I could stop it. After all, this is kind of our fault. And we need to fix it." I say it with frustration as I turn my gaze onto the approaching Grimm hordes that could be seen due to the moon light.
…
Well, Danzou just kept on staring at me as if I am a book as the sound of Grimm gets louder and louder by the second. Do something already and stop staring at me! I don't like it!
Danzou then closed her eyes as she nodded. "Very well. Danzou will help you. But what is your name?" My name of all things? It should be fine I suppose… Oh, I'm starting to sound like a tsundere right now.
"Very well. I am Mordred, but please call me Saber." I said as Danzou nodded as she then introduced herself. "I am Kato Danzou. It is a pleasure to work with you. Call me Assassin." She bowed as I grunted and summoned Clarent back into my hand.
"You are aware what these dark beasts are, yes?" I then asked Danzou who is now my temporary ally despite the fact that we were trying to kill each other a couple of minutes ago. It is strange how I seemed more…
Different. Is it because of Mordred's sleep cycle?
And I also feel like I could last longer in a fight…
The hell is happening to me?
"Those are Grimm. From what the locals have called these beasts." Danzou answered me.
I can't help but give a smirk. "Good. Let's not keep them waiting." And with that my helmet reforms on my head as I charged straight in as Assassin could be seen following after me.
Here's a question for all. Who would win, a horde of black monstrous beasts or two magical beings? Answer. The magical beings. Well, to be more precise, it was a massacre. Clarent cleaving through every single Grimm, while I occasionally punched or kicked some of them. Danzou on the other hand, was efficient and not a brute like Mordred. Every kill is elegant and efficient. Each of her attacks turns every single Grimm she attacks into nothing but corpses, while occasionally blasting them with her finger guns or using wooden missiles that somehow appeared on her back before they launched off to their targets.
I have no idea how that happens. Stop asking.
It was then that a loud shriek could be heard as Nevermores were attracted to the carnage that was occurring. I could only smile as I let out a yell to alert my ally. "Those birds are mine!" And with that. I threw Clarent straight at one of the Nevermores and it landed directly on its head as it began to fall to the ground. At the same time, I enhanced myself with mana as I jumped towards one of the Nevermores before ripping its head off with one clean punch.
Danzou on the other hand, sliced through an Ursa before sliding back and pointing her arms forward as both of them began to spin as she unleashes a barrage of gunfire that tore through the Grimm masses like paper.
It did not take long for both Danzou and I to deal with the horde of Grimm before meeting up again in the middle of the forest that had Grimm corpses surrounding us and heck! There's even a pile of them in the corner by yours truly.
"Hostiles eliminated. Switching back to passive mode." Danzou said as she cut down the last Beowolf that still lives.
"Yup. That's all of them. Good job I suppose." I can't help but complement her fighting style as my helmet disassembles itself back into my armour. She is quite the beauty now that I have a closer look at it.
Uhh… MOVING ON!
"Thank you for your compliment. I advise we separate and depart from here. I am detecting incoming signatures. Local enforcement likely."
I could only sigh. It was only a matter of time that our fight would attract those from Mistral itself. Though it pains me to let her go, a part of me refuses to fight her. My guess is that it felt wrong to attack those who you previously worked with but. Didn't we try to kill each other some time ago? Ah fuck it. I've had enough action for today and I don't need more now.
"Yea… Though the next time we meet, we would either be on better terms or we would continue where we left off." I said as I dismissed my armour and back to my casual clothing. Oh, and that back wound that Danzou caused? It has stopped bleeding, which is good, but I still need to do a deeper check on it to make sure that everything is fine.
"Affirmative. See you soon. Hopefully on better terms." Danzou said her farewells as she then vanished into the forest, at the same time, I could no longer sense her presence. Must be her A Rank Presence Concealment skill. That shit is broken if you were to ask me but she is an assassin for a reason. But I should really get out of here.
And with that, I mana burst my way back into my hotel while dropping off my new bag that is still in good condition on the chair before falling flat onto my bed and passing out for the night.
A couple of hours later…
I woke up and left the hotel in the same outfit I wore earlier. I was actually looking forward to breakfast, despite the fact that Servants don't really need to eat but, who cares. I want to eat something!
So, while I was going to a cafe on my bike, I could see how everyone was unnerved as to what had happened last night. People seemed to be more guarded than usual and there were more police guards and Huntsmans patrolling the streets while keeping an eye out for any clues as to what had happened the night before.
Yea… That was kinda my fault huh?
And Danzou as well. Who thought it was a good idea to fight in the middle of a kingdom? And then we had the grail wars and somehow, people don't notice that shit when part of the city gets wrecked or blown up. And don't get me started when any of the servants start to use their Noble Phantasm and somehow, no one seems to care!
But I doubt I can get away with doing that here…
Besides that, their coffee is good. Got mocha and cake for breakfast while watching the news that was covering last night's uh, incident. I hope Ozzy doesn't get involved in it, but knowing him, he probably would. I think he would work with Lionheart, that traitorous bastard, to investigate this case. Whatever happens now, one thing I know for sure.
Canon is fucked thanks to the presence of Servants in this world.
Shall I screw it up even more? Eh time will tell. But it is news time. I then gaze upon the TV as the MNN appeared on screen as a purple haired woman could be seen reporting at a ruined field court surrounded by houses that had their windows shattered.
"Welcome back to MNN, I'm Cassandra Lavender. For those who had just tuned in, our main story for today is the destruction of a field court in a resident district as well as signs of heavy combat found just outside of Mistral." She explained as the screen then shows various wrecks and destruction of property.
"Yep, sorry about that." I thought to myself as I continued to watch.
"Around midnight, a fight took place on this field court between two unknown assailants. From what our sources could tell, there's not much info known about the assailants that were fighting or exactly, why they were fighting. However, we couldn't get an exact image of the assailants as they appear to move faster than the camera could see. It then appears that one of the assailants was sent flying into the forest with the other one pursuing them into the forest. The damage they left behind was substantial and the fighting had shattered all the windows in the vicinity as well as woken up the whole of Mistral as everyone could hear the shockwave."
Cassandra paused for a second before the screen then moved on to the forest that had signs of fighting. "When local authorities arrived at the sight of where the assailants could have gone, they found it empty except for the piles of Grimm corpses that were scattered everywhere. Some speculated that assailants were the one responsible for eliminating all the Grimm present at the site. Others believed that the Grimm just happened to get into their way. One thing's for sure on everyone's mind. Who are these people? What are we going to do about it?" And with that, the news network then moved on to advertisements.
"So much for keeping quiet… But I am glad that they did not see Danzou's or my face. That could get me into shit. But, where did Danzou go? Was it the right decision to let her go? Guess I'll deal with it when it comes." I thought to myself as I finished up my cake and mocha coffee before I walked out of the cafe. I should get my weapon repaired before heading off to confront Raven. Now that there are Servants present on Remnant, I better be prepared for their coming.
One way or another.
At Beacon…
The old wizard Ozpin had just watched the news about the incident that had occurred in Mistral. He had already contacted his fellow headmaster Leon to ask about the incident that had occurred in Mistral. Much to his surprise, Leon was also confused by the incident itself and had already sent Huntsman to investigate it with assurances that the situation was under control. Yet that bothered Ozpin.
For someone to send a punch so hard that it sends someone flying? And releases a shockwave that shook the whole of Mistral? That for someone to possess that kind of semblance is a danger to everyone. And he can't directly interfere due to Leon, he had to rely on others to help.
And so, Ozpin picked up his scroll and called a fellow follower of his.
"Yea Oz, you call?" A gruff voice could be heard on the other side of the call.
"I'm sure you are aware of what's going on in the news as of yet." Ozpin spoke as he glanced outside the window.
"Yea, I'm aware of that Ozpin. Something about two people picking fights in the middle of Mistral, yea?"
"Correct Qrow. I want you to head to Mistral and investigate this case, I believe there is something more to it than what they are telling everyone. Can I count on you, Qrow?"
"Sure thing Oz. I'll be there, and I'll let you know what I find." Qrow spoke with somewhat enthusiasm as he cut the line. Yet Ozpin can't help but feel that this investigation would open up a can of worms for some reason, as if this is going to make his life more complicated than it was before.
Place: Unknown...
A pale woman with white hair adorned in a dress of blue and black sat upon a massive throne as her personal knights stood next to her. Her will is unmatched as her cold heart freezes all who oppose her. Yet, despite everything that had happened since she succeeded the throne, nothing will change the fact that her purpose is to rule Britain under her will.
Yet, things were not as it was, an anomaly had bound her kingdom to a completely different world. A world that possesses little to no magic, despite the fact that creatures of darkness seem to infest every single continent in that world and threatens to spill over to her realm.
As a result of that, her will must be established into this new world to halt this…
Infestation.
And so, she called upon servants to heed her call. Those who would serve as her eyes and ears in this strange new realm. As of yet, one approaches her with bearing news.
"My lord." Katou Danzou called her lord as she kneed towards her master.
"Katou Danzou, I heard you brought news." The pale woman who sits on her throne asked.
"Yes, my lord. A Servant has been detected in the new world."
"A servant that does not serve her majesty? This is new." One of the knights that wields a sword and chains spoke with interest in her voice.
"Affirmative. She was detected in the Kingdom known as Mistral. Interestingly enough, she bears a face similar to you, my lord." Danzou continued.
"An imposter that bears mother's face? She must die for it!" A redheaded knight yelled out with rage.
"Tristan enough! Allow her majesty to speak her mind." The much smaller knight then spoke.
"You dare interrupt me?! To think that someone bears mother's face! It is an affront to her and must be eliminated. Preferably by my hand." She spoke with anger and malice at the thought of killing this imposter.
"Enough." The king spoke as she turned her attention to her servant and spy.
"Who is she called?"
"She prefers to be called Saber. However, her real name is Mordred. At least, that's what she is willing to tell me." Danzou continued as the knights could only look at each other.
"And how did you get this information?"
"She was willing to give it to me in exchange for my name. A deal on both sides."
"Interesting… For now, keep an eye on her. Tristan. You may kill any of those black beasts that dare to enter my realm." She ordered, as the redhead knight agreed with a sadistic glee.
"With pleasure." She giggled as she walked off.
"Now… Tell me more of what you found out in that world…"
And with that… The fate of Remnant shifts with the addition of new power that lurks in another realm.
Oh, my what's this? Morgan and her fairy knights here?! Where did they come from?!
Ok for real, I know that there is a high probability that some/most of you would hate the inclusion of other servants into the mix but, if I were to just leave it as it is, it would get boring. After all, maybe this is the threat the Vampire needs Mordred to deal with, eh?
Next on the list is Mordred's sleep cycle. We will see more of it in the future. It should be interesting to see where it goes as this would dramatically affect Mordred the more memories she uncovers with time.
Next is our Mordred's first interaction with a servant. Katou Danzou I was thinking of which servant to introduce Mordred to and I instantly began searching for Japanese servants. Because, ecstatics!
I find it weird how the grail war is supposed to be a secret war yet we have flashy or really explosive Noble Phantasms going off left and right so I added in the fact that everyone would notice some fighting in a city of all places. As you can see, this garnered the attention of Ozpin who had assigned Qrow to investigate.
Oh! And Morgan has her eyes on Remnant. So, they are screwed!
