Chapter Thirty: Hey look! Another "filler' chapter before a ton of action happens!
Xellos thought deeply to himself before teleporting back to the mainland where Lina and the others reside; mostly to continue observing or perhaps resorting back to spying if having to be done so. He groans at the idea of watching from afar, or worst having to recruit that ominous assassin who is dying to go toe on toe with the otherworldly woman. The man is too violent to fulfill such delicate work, that the priest fears about massive body count that could possibly follow that individual alone.
"He has to be far worst then Zuma…" There was a menacing smirk that flashed across his features. That man had existed for quite some time now within the outer layers of what once was the Mazoku barrier, which is now inactive due to the defeat of Hellmaster Fibrizo. He had quite the reputation on him and his abilities were that of a more…unnatural case. That man was a hybrid of that of both monster and of his human self. The combination was rather impressive, but later it failed when he was brought down by Lina Inverse and her associates. Xellos had theorized that the previous was fused with that of a lesser mazoku. Now this one had strength and power to him, and he too could be that mixed with one of greater ranking. As much as the trickster priest was hoping he could incorporate the assassin into his scheme, he was afraid that the damn man would complete get out of control, and start to go after the targets life. This was the very least outcome he wanted; for the one rule that he at all, must not break was to be the cause, or to witness the demised of the otherworlder. There was a reason; though vague of why his master insists on keeping that unnatural woman alive. Her intention was left unstated, which called her servant's curiosity to burn. What makes her so special exactly? His face contorted as he yanks his staff above his head before thrusting at the ground between his feet. An eerie light grew, and the surroundings warped quickly, spinning the very reality into blurs until it came into a focus; the Traven the group stayed in appears as he stood at its entrance.
"Do you think they all left?" My raven haired friend but pain-in-the-ass inquired crossly as I gave a lackluster shrug to.
"That beats me." I crossed my arms as I turn to her, walking backwards as the two of us headed to the doors. "So I guess it's up to us to figure out where they all are then?" Who knows?-but I had an inclination of where they must've run off to. I do recall Proserpina's strange sets of weaponry she had done preparations on. Gourry did get ahead of himself and went to go fetch Zelgadis, maybe he was lucky and brought him there a bit after I left. It is quite possible that Pokota and Baby are along with them. There is no telling if this is all true, but I would say so since it's my womanly intuition kicking in.
"Ms. Lina!-"Amelia grabbed my shoulder before I crashed crown first into the door itself. "You should start paying more attention to these things, you know-"She is one to speak as she trips over the edge of a runner moments before I reached the knob. Next thing I knew, I was face to face with nothing more than a certain priest standing in the way.
"Oh it's you…" I grumble unsurprisingly as Amelia huffed next to my side. Her face reddened ever more as she sneered with a sight disgusted.
'Well it didn't take long for you to return…" She scoffed crossing her arms.
"Ah, yes." Xellos remarked crossly to her comment. It's not like any one was thrill to see him to begin with. I exchange glances with her before we continue our silent observation. "Beside you should know by now that I'm not here for any of you-"
"Yeah-yeah-yeah. We know! I don't have to even guess that; it's Proserpina you're after." He fringed a shock expression, as if he was caught off by surprise. It might've fooled Amelia, but it didn't even phase my intelligence at the slightest. I've been around the block with this guy before, and there was no way I was going to let him pull the wool over my eyes again. At least this time he appeared to be impressed being that I was able to guess correctly upon his motives, and as always, he attempts to still take advance of any opportunity he thinks is there…
"Why Yes! I was actually here for her!" I could sense the mocked amused that hung heavily in his tone. "So speaking of which; have the two of you possibly seen her at any point recently?"
"No." Amelia responded sharply annoyed while I slowly shook my head. The last I saw her was at least an hour ago prior to the guys plus her disappearing at some point, but I wasn't going to allow him to know that. I just remain in pretend mode as Xellos stood in stillness before us.
"Is he just going to stand there?" The princes inquired prior to seconds of his disappearing. Ah No! It seems like the trickster priest may had given up with asking us of the whereabouts of a certain otherworldly chimera and perhaps had begun such on his own. I could call him a copycatted for taking our initial idea into his own play, knowing him though there is a chance that he could locate her and other a lot more quickly than the both of us could. Though not this time; for luck was more in our favor today! Shortly after Xellos left, the four (and a half if you count Baby) burst though. Our eyes were greeted by the first by the sight of a rather annoyed Zelgadis and an anxious Pokota who keep up with his rushed paced.
"If you just listened-"The younger prince pleaded as the other looked to be completely ignoring him. "You would see that this is all a big misunderstanding!" The chimera slipped away bursting passed the both of us as he rushed towards the stairs.
"Mister Zelgadis-!" Amelia had called after him, but he was already halfway up by the time she hurried to the bottom of the steps. Her eyebrows arched as she pinned with a strong concern as she watched his disappear into the corridor to the rooms. She hesitated to follow after him, but instead she whips her head at Pokota, eyeing him with such a fierceness she could burn him alive with!
"What did you do?" She hissed and before he could answer her, a strong yet sultry female's voice boomed from the doorway.
"He stepped on a rather sensitive subject-"Proserpina intervenes as her and Gourry waltzed in. "And instead of dropping it like I kept suggesting, he rather continues to push it until Zel flat out snap on him…"
"-But he was the one who got so bent out of shape over nothing…" Pokota fumed argumentatively casting a quick reassuring glance at the clueless blonde who was now at my side. "She didn't get so offended at what I said! Only he did!-"
"He's right in a way…" Gourrys' eyes shifted to the ground as he gradually bobbed his head, humming to himself as he did his best at recalling his memory. Good luck with that!
"That's right!" Well I'll be damned…For once he did remember something. This is the day when a good part of hell freezes over. It's a rare case he does, which doesn't occur on the daily as much the rest of us wishes. "She didn't get mad at what he said, Only Zel did."
"Then what did you say, Pokota?" I could feel my eyebrow quivered as I glanced at the younger prince. As much as I mutually respect him for his talents, there are times his boyish nature does get on my nerves. It's like he gets in the moods, and poof! There goes his filter!
"I didn't say another bad," He started as he illustrated his defense. "I only mentioned that they where a special case-I didn't think anything was wrong about that statement." I looked over at Proserpina, reading her expression as she remain unfazed from possible after hearing about this countless of times as Pokota attempted to faint he blue chimera's forgiveness. That now, may happen when all of hell freezes over. The reason why both chimeras had such a different reaction is that because one was more willingly to become what they are, while the other strongly disagrees about being one, and has been unwavering of way to restore his human self. That would make sense to me of why Proserpina remains somewhat calm while Zelgadis…Not so much. I'm pretty sure we are very oh just how comfortable he is from being different from everyone, as in having skin hard as stone and one hell of a complexion.
At some point Amelia had stormed off to where he reside, locked in the guys' room. I raced up the stairs along with Gourry and Proserpina. Pokota staged slowly along with us, I hop to the first step before she spun around, facing his with her sharp golden eyes.
"You should go wait somewhere…" She hinted with a hiss as he took a gulp. "I'm pretty sure you're the last person he wants to see right now…" With a bob of his head, he turns and retreats back to the first floor. Damn! I was amused… What did she do to make him tuck his tails between his legs and run like that? Gourry and I eyed her with a mixture of curiosity and caution as she passed us with expression that reminded me of an angry hawk; her scold waivered as Amelia knocked softly on the door.
"Mister Zelgadis…" There was a shuffling of papers before the door slowly jarred. I could see a sliver of him as he peered though the crevice. "Yes?" He said in a low voice as he glances at the lot of us while the princess opened her mouth to speak.
"I-We just wanted to check up on you to make sure that you're okay…" She consolably stammered as she corrected herself after seeing us gain closer to her. Her posture stiffens as she flashed a wary smile; I joined her as I did my earnest to appear sincere towards a mutual friend of ours. He gave a long sigh. "I'll be alright…" He murmured sounding somewhat much settled down then he was before. "…I just needed some space after all of that. Beside I wasn't entirely feeling up to causing a huge scheme in front of everyone as well…" There was a pause as the door opened more; emerging a bit out into the hallway once he noticed that the certain prince wasn't present. He inhaled deeply. "I must've had a personal nerve that finally got plucked at….it's not my fault that my appearance-"He glanced towards Proserpina briefly. "-has a wavering factor in this world. I suppose Pokota's poor choice in words may have resurfaced those old wounds I've been dealing with for this long…" I can't blame him, and I wasn't going to be the one to tell him to just get over it… I such know personally that these matters aren't that easily to just toss behind up like a ball of trashed papers, in hopes that it hit full on into the waste basket. She stood there with the rest of us, nodding her head quietly as she seemingly to understand his statement.
"I guess he forgot," I quipped with my index finger high grinning from ear to ear. "How it was like when he was trapped in that stuff animal of a body he had!-" I could hear the pearly woman let out a soft snort while Gourry rub his head as Amelia shot me a glare from the corner of her eye.
"I'm pretty sure he didn't have a choice to be in that vessel in the first place!" I mean the princess is right, like Zel, Pokota was switched from his original form into a puppet like creature with rabbit like arms for ears. Sound crazy right and I going to take a stab that no one ran that design across with Rezo to begin with. The blonde gave a nervous laugh as he waved dismissively in front of me.
"I hate to be the one to say this," I felt both brows twitch to the uppity tone of his voice. "But it seems like now Pokota is a normal man and not a magical bunny anymore…" Well that was a very obvious one, Captain!
"I suppose you can say that he got lucky," Zelgadis huffed in a single breath as he folded his arms. "Though despite that it's not his original body, but that of someone else…" There was this odd pause and then Gourry opened his dumb mouth again.
"Have you ever thought about switching bodies with someone else, Zel?" The bluish chimera just stood there with his eyes widen in shock at first, until he tilted his head to the side as a semi devious smile.
"You know, I've never considered that before…" He ponder wistfully while a fuming Amelia lean towards him with a fury burning deep in her stare. This alone snapped Zelgadis from his thought process as he took a cynical posture to her approach.
"You wouldn't even dare, now would you?" She gawped as her voice pitched; his response was first a quiver as he thought of the proper thing to say to smoothed any of her suspicions.
"Of course not Amelia-," He neurotic muttered in a single breath. "That was just a passing thought, besides it's not entity what's in sort when it comes to changing back to normal-"
"Oh I understand you want to restore your human self, but you know it's rather unjust Mister Zelgadis to just take over someone's life like that-"
"Yes I'm adware of that, but that's not what I really want to do-"Hell! I may as well try to stop her before she gets to out of hand with her rants.
"Amelia!" At first she disregard me as she continue to stared down the galled chimera as I pressed on reaching for her shoulder. I gave her a rough pinch as she torn her gaze from Zelgadis to me.
"Why did you do that for?" She crossly asked as she brushed away my hand. "That wasn't a nice way of getting someone attention, you know Miss. Lina."
"Well…It wasn't polite of you to ignore me…" There was a faint growl in my voice as I could feel parts of my face grow hot as a pulse began to build within the depths of my ears. This was getting t me fast and it was taking its toll on my patience.
"Look," Though gritted teeth I assertively expressed as the princess continue her attention to me. "It's no big deal; it was like he said; a passing thought. There is no reason to preach about how morally wrong it is. I think he's got the idea of how it works, but it's not what he has in sort." As she blinked her anger fades, and by them she made of realize that what she said could done some damage. I could tell she had the intentions to apologize to him, but what suddenly interrupted when a loud shriek occurred behind us. I spun to witness Xellos, who had decided to improperly manifest his being last of Proserpina. The pearly woman moved quickly from him just as fast as he appeared.
"Do you even believe in the concept of personal space?" she scoffed as she came closer to where Gourry and I were. "Or does that not even exist with the likes of you?" Though his amusement that oddly mirrors her frustrations of his constant habit of appearing whenever he pleases.
"Hmm." He hummed gleefully as he placed his palms together to make a small applaud. "I am impressing! You noticed me right away; while others aren't as fast as you! Bravo!" Wait! Are you suggesting that I am slow, Xellos?
"-And that is not polite to be so close to a woman like such! Aren't you a priest?" Amelia gained on him touting as she waved her fist at him. I don't reckon that's he's that type of holy man in the first place! Xellos held up both of his hands in attempt to keep her from gaining any closer. With her being now distracted by else wise; I watched as Zel sighs deeply before slowly retrieving back behind the door. I could somehow sense him shaking his head as Amelia continues her banter until the sharp click of him shutting the door cease her to a sudden quiet. She whips her head to find that the spot of where he stood was empty. She gasped before turning angrily at the trickster priest as he still remained humor in his our fashion.
"-Great! Now Mr. Zelgadis is back to hiding-!" Her usually loudness increased more as she frantically threw her hands about at Xellos, who mutely dodged each one of her complaints.
"I think while he is distracted, you should make a run for it." I whisper at Proserpina nudging her as she sharply whipped around, peering at the disgruntled princess as the priest did his best to calmly shoo her away. At least she seemed to listen, as she took heel and darted for the door that leads to the girls' room. Xellos saw this, and broke immediately from Amelia to only appear right in right of her before she had the chance to reach for the knob.
"OH GOTDAMMIT MAN!" Proserpina unbraided as she threw a miniature tantrum stumbling a bit backwards. It seems that I'm not the only one with a temper here. I can see the presentiment of when anyone is going to explode , and if that priest keeps it up, she might as just as well be as bad as I...As much as I personally detest owning up to such, but I've gain quite the reputation of being, well you, destructive… Yeah the surviving townsfolk may blame it all on me, though they tend to forget how they've gotten there in the first place. Huah! Let's not forget the restless picking and the titles I've achieve that are more insulting then a dragon avoiding me like I was a pile of…alright. I need to breathe and calm down…Breathe and calm down… There is no use of getting myself all worked up over nothing; especially now with Xellos up to his usual shenanigans. The pearly woman regained her manner as she recollected her pose.
"I got this feeling," She grunted acidly weaving her fingers though her trusses. "That you're going to be more of a pain in the ass then I was expecting-!"
"Well sadly if it has to be, then it's precisely what I have to do." He interrupted her as he informed sassily clutching his staff in front of him. "I am sent her to required information that is needed about you-"
"-Like Hell!" she again grew more irritably to where even poor Amelia took over next to me with a worried expression that drastically contrast to her fury earlier. "You know what you can do?"
"And what is that?" Xellos arched a brow as he prepared himself for whatever foulness that could be fashioned at him now.
"You can move out the way so I can go in the room-"
"But if I do that-"Geez, this guy can put out such a debate for no reasons at times as he cut her off again. "Then I won't see you for the remainders of the evening or till you decide it's time to go-."
"Oh for fuck sakes!-"
"WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?" At first, it really sounded deep, like an enraged prince Phil, but after I turn to see, it was no other then Madam Maria standing at the steps, with her hand on her hip and a profound disgruntled look on her heavily make-up features. Her face reminded me of mother's when I would get into something I wasn't suppose to… Xellos let loose a soft cough whilst the pearly woman's nostrils flared.
"He's up to his bullshit again…" She was the first to speak as the Madam continues to stare the both down like a pair of misbehaved children."He won't move so I can go into the room-"
"-Well I was still trying to acquire something from her before she disappears-"
"Yeah because I don't want you bothering me asshole!-"
Madam Maria heaved as she shook her head. "This is ridiculous…" Frowning as she clicked her tongue. "I believe we had this talk before, Master Xellos." She rasped as he raised his brows in surprise. "Yes. Don't give me that look but we did have this conversation a bit ago when she was cooking with me. "The priest's mouth formed into a silent O as he acted to remember. "See I knew you know, and I'll say it again,; this time I'll have more ear witnesses, but I'll have to request, that during your stay, you refrained from harassing both my tenants and employees-"
"I-"Xellos had intentions to probably say something within is defense, but was interjected as the brassy woman continue her say. "Again, it looks bad on business, and now with that damn vampire issues that has been rectify, I am in high hopes that this will take a greater turn around now that our exchange system is reopened. Please refrain from making the people at this inn uncomfortable. I am not repeating myself after this. Do you understand?" I was caught by surprise as Xellos shockingly nodded in a silent comprehension. There must be something to her thunder that keeps him in check; the madam carefully fixes her hair. "Good, now if you persist and I catch you again; these hands-"She held up hers as they seem to be larger than Amelia's dads' at that, with the exception that her nails were painted an elegant rose. "-will kindly escort you out, and you will be banned from stepping foot inside." Xellos quietly move aside, but before Proserpina had the chance to walk into the room, the madam stopped her.
"As for you," She begun as the pearly chimera gave a concern look as she was expecting a similar speech that the trickster received. "No more hiding! Come!" It looks like there was otherwise in store as Proserpina went to join the madam. "I need your help in the kitchen. I missed out on having you this morning!' The conversation drifted as the two of them descend down the stairs. It was just us four to linger behind standing as a rather cumbersome energy filled the hallway.
"Ah well, that didn't work out the way I'd liked for it to…" Xellos chided acceptingly as he laughed it off. "I would have better luck outside of here… What do you say, Lina?" I hated it when people insist on asking me for my opinion…Like a second input is going to help you out here. I said nothing as I rolled my eyes, watching him from the corners as he vanishes; now it just the three of us.
The waiting staff hurried along as they rushed about to set the tables of their elegance. It seems that the madam did after all inherit quite the sum after Lady Karstein was out the picture. The original dining ware that we all were first acquitted with wasn't that shabby, but once was chipped glass wear, dingy pewter tankers, and cracked ceramics was now replace with brilliant crystal, silver drink ware, and a fine assorted of well made porcelain plates. Talk of an upgrade; she really struck lucky! I marvel at its craftsmanship while I took my seat.
"She really out done herself," Amelia softly commented as she as well took to a chair next to me. "Though she went with the set different then what I suggested…It's still rather pretty, don't you think so, Ms. Lina?" I nodded vigorously as Gourry carefully observe his misshapen reflection throughout the surface of one of the many metallic mugs. At least he was too distracted to say anything dumb at this moment.
"Nice…" He murmured as he turns the one in front of him around. "It's…shiny…I like It!" AGH! How can one be so basic at times? I guess it doesn't take much to amuse Jellyfishes… I grunted in distraught as the blond remain distracted. The sound of the doors bursting opened caused me to jump as we turned to greet the sight of both princes.
"Wow! What a presentation!" Amelia's father bellowed as the younger one pursuit behind him as they took to their seating, which Prince Phil took to his daughter's side as Pokota choose the option next to him. "I really admire the choice of red; really brings it all together! What did you think?" He grabs his daughter roughly into an embrace that nearly causes her to just about to fall out of her chair.
"I preferred the pink set with the roses, daddy." Amelia quipped indifferent as her father continues to squeeze her with all his might (Well maybe not all of it. I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to hurt her by accident. "That was the one I thought would have been lovely for the set up. This one is nice though, don't get me wrong…"
'Well, Madam Maria went with otherwise. Though I could buy you that set if you really were that fond of it." She smiles warmly in appreciation as he returns with one that reminded me of a bear snaring. I grimace internally as I thank any god that was listening for not allowing my dad to be rough looking as Prince Phil is. It's not like he's a bad guy or anything; it just doesn't help that he often strongly favors an oversize troll. At least my dad isn't that bad off….What! Are you expecting me to say that my dad is hot? First off…I'M NOT THAT YPE OF PERSON… Don't get me wrong he was quite the mercenary back in the day, but nowadays he's retired, and spends most of his days doing what I like doing the most. I realized how much I missed him as I watched Amelia happily wrestled with her dad briefly before the staff finished preparing as they vanished back into the kitchen quarters.
Zelgadis and Baby were the last to join us; In fact I nearly missed him as he sulk in, glowering as he took to one of the chairs across the table. While the tiny chimera had other in mind as they stroll on in the kitchen with such confidence. I going to safely assumed that the little guy at least may have more privilege then Xellos does when it comes to limitations to both staff and Proserpina.
Plates of food where soon place before the company as Gourry and I greedily grabbed for our forks. The smell of several ingredients flooded the room with a slight hint that this was possibly cooked with wine. A properly made chicken marasla was placed tenderly in front on me, which I dug in with an opposing force as I gobble down this divinely made meal. Gourry was at his, like if there was a race of arms and the prize was a heaping pile of gold.
"They act like it's their last meal…" Pokota ruefully commented as I acted as if I didn't hear as I stuff me face with that of poultry and fungi. This was easier than I thought, until I hear what Zel retorted with.
"That's nothing new…" I nearly dropped my fork as I scramble to retain it. I could feel the tips of my ears burn as I gave the blue chimera a very sideways glance while I stab my utensil into a thick morsel of meat. He boldly glances with a rose eyebrow as some sort of response, like he was trying to ask if I was making a suggestion as he quietly chewed his proportion. I shut my eyes and return to enjoying my meal; the doors to the kitchen sing to and fro as more including themselves to the table. I peeped over and was greeted by that of Proserpina, Baby and Madam Maria; who sat before their own serving, being the last to eat.
I blench loudly as Gourry rubbed his engorged stomach, patting it as he carried on this content expression. He left a drafty yawn as I fought the urge to do so.
"That hit the spot…" The blond was right; I watched as nearly everyone had either reclined back like myself, or was softly talking amongst their selves. Proserpina was murmuring to Madam Maria who bobbed her giant head in agreement. Prince Phil was giving his daughter a rundown of some sort, and Amelia changefully went alone with whatever her father had told her. Pokota heavily sigh as he swirls around the last fragments of his plate, across from him Zelgadis sat with his arms folded, head inclined back and his eyes shut, like he was taking a nap. I went with the impulse to slap the area in front of him, which the rattling of the remaining silverware chattered as he snap back to his usual alertness.
"What was that for?" He barked with a great annoyance and I gave him a sly grin in return.
"No sleeping at the table-"
"I wasn't sleeping-"
"It sure looked like it!" I lastly chuckle as Zel furrowed his brow together. It so much easier to pluck at his nerves then it is to make his laugh. At least I've been more successful at that then anything.
"I was just merely digesting…" Sure…Let's go with that! I saw what I saw and it didn't seem like you were just absorbing, but that is a good enough excuse if you really wanted to use that one if I'd was presented the opportunity to do so. As I still mused over this, I gaze into the direction of the two chatterboxes as they barely took notice of me listening in.
"Gosh," Madam Maria heaved deeply as placed their chin into a huge palm. "I just wished I was nearly as gorgeous as you…"
'What is that suppose to mean?" the pearly woman inquired as she cocked up an eyebrow in an inquisitive manner. The madam's gaze went somewhere pass Proserpina as she thought in a daze.
"Oh if I had your looks," She croaked raspy tilting her head to the side in a daydreaming state. "Getting the guys would be such breeze." The other blinked a couple of times before bursting into a snort. Madam Maria was taken slightly aback before coming back to the defense as she held her hand together.
"Oh Please. Don't be coy…" She growled playfully as the other laughed more. "You can have any guy you want, you know that-!" Proserpina giggling caught her off guard as she trailed from her sentence. "Oh come on! Don't just sit there and tired to pretend like you don't know what I'm talking about-"
It was getting late by the time Gourry and I headed upstairs, lingering in the hallway to pass a bit more time before retiring for the evening. Everyone else had migrated into their appropriate rooming; without a single glimpse of Xellos at that, which gave the rest of us a somewhat stress free remainder of our stay.
"So this is our last night here?" I gave a carefully nodded while doing quick scan for any signs of you-know-who. The next thing I know the blonde had puckered up and planted sloppy one on my forehead! I could feel the blood rushed to my face as I went to touch where he had kissed me at. He gave me a short wave before disappearing behind the door. Within what felt like a whirl, I was entering the room where I was staying, greeted by the blinking apprehensive from the three who were already there.
"Are you okay, Ms. Lina?" Amelia buzzed from my shoulder as I felt my left side of m face twitched.
"Yeah, why?"
"Well, it's really probably nothing, but you're rather red…" The princess exclaim as she grew near examining closer as the pearl one began to laugh.
"I think she's fine…" Proserpina chimed tugging a small shirt over Baby's head. "She's just flustered…that's all."
"But….How? What would happen that would make you look like that? I've never seen Ms. Lina like this before….What is going on? What happened?" I for once kept my mouth shut as Amelia's sky blue orbs glued on to mines in hopes I would give her some kind of explanation. The other continued to snicker as the princess continued her constant glaze that felt like she was trying to read the answers from me. This was making me feel quite uncomfortable and m heart beat faster the more she stared at me.
"Wh-What?!" I found myself spurting and she raises her brows more. "I'm fine-I was just saying goodnight to Gourry-"
"It just seems like he said more than just that…" Proserpina added amusingly as she finished helping the small chimera dress for bed. "Going with how flushed you are; I'd say that there was some physical contact involved. She cooed as she winked at me, making this even more gauche then it really needs to be.
"Whatcha trying to say?" The impulse to quickly retort that to her comment was too strong; I might've given myself away without knowing. Augh! This is the last thing I wanted to be clear!
"I think Gourry is more than traveling companion," Proserpina boldly stated with a confidence that knocked the wind out of me. "I kinda think he is your boyfriend-"
"What makes you say that?!" I don't understand why I was so defensive about it, really… The pearl woman pursed her lips momentary as she gave it some thought. "I just get this "We are more than just friends' vibe for the both of you when you two are together." She shrugged braiding her long hair. "That's just my opinion…"
"Is that true, Ms. Lina?" My face grew hot as m pulsed raced more; in all honestly this was something I barely put any thought into, let alone brought up the idea to Gourry .I'm not certain of how entirely his reaction would be if the sorts where ever brought up into the air. All I could do was shrug my shoulders, which cause Amelia to shout.
Great…now this is going to be a long night!
Author's rant: Hey you guys! Look who finally posted, well not by choice. My computer needed some updating and o know how that goes…What usually takes like 20 minutes ended up being das…Simply because the person farted around until it was passed the favorable due dated… I managed to survived, by catching up on a bit of entertainment, and some reading.
I'm hoping that I can now resume back on track with posting…I'm serous behind, but priorities!
