Hey guys! RGQC here with another chapter for you people to enjoy and I got a goal to hopefully reach with this chapter. My goal is to achieve at least 865 followers and 725 Favourites or more before the next upload in like a month. Let's see if we can do this! But first, comments to address.
SkyChaser17: Yea! Refinement could use some work indeed but nothing too serious I suppose? Besides that, I would try to cut down on the cliff-hangers. I honestly think I had too much of it, yea?
Zekken182: Yup. Salem getting NP is hilarious indeed and yea, the brother gods would not be intervening for good reason. As for your question, Morgan won't conquer Remnant unless she needs to or is forced to. She prefers to focus on the main issue which was the portal binding Britain to Remnant.
D. : Or she did? I'll leave it up to you.
Guest: I'll see what I can do k? Also, as for your question? Any servants that lore wise, could wipe out worlds. Or Foreigner class servants. Or Oberon. Definingly Oberon
Master Guestie: Good point! I will be sure to keep an eye on Morgan. I do have the intention of her acting behind the scene and not face first. But she still has to keep an eye on the Faes for their attempts to stab her in the back like they always do.
Triscythe59: Perhaps, after all, Jeanne's new goal is to seek out Mordred. Perhaps they could work it out…
Ultima-owner: Fat chance if you were to ask me. Neither Ozpin or Salem would work together.
EmperorCeph: Oh, Salem will regenerate after getting Nped. After all, she is unkillable but most of her influence is now affected dramatically.
Gamingfury6124: Glad you will enjoy my work!
Anmjiel: Do you mean Chad Orion? Love that big guy, though his womanizer personality pisses me off for some reason.
Reeeee: I see… Well, I understand. Have a good day.
Kadzuki Kurokami: That could work but as we know now, her castle got blown to bits thanks to Morgan, so it would be a while before she gets back onto her footing again.
Guest 2: Eh eh eh… BUHAHAHAHAHAHA! I'm sorry but you gotta be more convincing than that. Besides, I know you're speaking lies so don't waste your and my time. And my time has more value.
Shooter312: Continue Omakes? Maybe? We shall see yea?
Also, seeing all your choices as to which servant you wish to bring to you to Remnant is interesting indeed. So many different opinions of servants that you guys wish to bring! Another question for you all because I'm just curious. How did you come across my story? Did you just stumble across it or did you just get recommended somehow?
Anyways, with that out of the way, let's not waste any more time.
I do not own RWBY or any of the Fate series. All of them belong to their respective owners as such.
Chapter 10
New Friends and Revelation
Hours after I dismantle my camp and continue on my journey to the last location of a convoy a thought hits me. Now that I think about it, what were they carrying and how did they lose contact? Bandits? Grimm? Or something worse? And that does help my case in the slightest.
I swear there's something in the forest following me…
"What was that?" I muttered out as I came to a screeching halt and looked towards my north, I sensed a massive magical energy build up before it went out. "The hell was that? What could have caused that? Was that a Servant?" My head ran through several potential ideas as to what could have caused that. Or more accurately, who could have released such magical power.
And so strong and overwhelming. There's no way that anyone who could use magic wouldn't have sensed that. Did someone just get magically nuked? I mean… it would explain its sudden appearance and disappearance...
It feels like an anti-fortress Noble Phantasm? But what kind? There's like 24 anti-fortress NPs. Or was it 28? Can't remember it accurately and it could be any of those NPs
…
"Never mind that. I'm getting distracted. I'll worry about that later." I thought to myself as I proceeded to rev up my bike and continued on my journey, yet the thoughts of who could have unleashed it bothered my mind until I reached the last location of a convoy and boy, it was a mess.
Trucks were clearly overturned or destroyed, corpses of the convoy crew could be seen all over the place and there were obvious signs of gunfire all over the place, as if some attacked the convoy and raided it.
"White Fang?" I could only ask myself as I slowly walked towards the convoy wreckage with my gun facing forward with my other hand resting underneath the magazine for support. Yet, as I continued to walk slowly, I could hear movement in the forest.
That got a response out of me as I immediately turned and pointed my gun at the direction of the sound and waited. But what came out of the bushes caused me to freeze with shock before it changes to terror. A little white squirrel-like creature with a bushy mane and a cape came out of the bushes before tilting its head and let out a chirp.
"Kyu?" Cath Palug, the fourth beast? Here? Wha? How?! Sure, the little critter is adorable as fuck but that thing is THE Primate Murder and how in the glorious hell did this fluff ball of (Potential) doom got onto Remnant?! It doesn't make any sense!
"Fou?" The white critter chirped again as it snapped me out of my shock and terror of the fact that he is here. He even sounds like the anime version of him! (How cute!) But that brings up another question, since Memelin used Fou as his eyes in the Grand Order, does that mean that Merlin's aware as to what's going on in Remnant? I hope not.
I only could only let out a tired sigh before I holstered my gun back onto my waist and crouched down to see Fou slowly approaching me with caution. "How the hell did you manage to get here?" I bluntly asked as I extended my hand out to Fou who just paused and stiffed my hand like a cat. I know that Fou is a unique animal and if I were to take him with me, there will be eyes on Fou.
And judging by the size of his fluffy tail… Fou's been here for a while already. I observed Fou's tail before choosing to ask Fou, despite how pointless it would probably be. "Did you know who caused this?" I asked Fou as I gaze into the destroyed convoy.
"Fou Fou!" Fou just chirped before walking a distance away before looking back at me. I think he wants me to follow him. And so, I did, Fou led me to one of the convoy trucks wrecks as he went through the openings of the overturned truck. As I opened the door, I noticed a note of sorts and began to read it.
I came to the conclusion that the convoy I was supposed to investigate had a darker intention than what I expected. On the surface, it looks like the convoy was supposed to be carrying food supplies and Dust to another village, but from the looks of it. It was also smuggling some sort of drug that I do not recognize. Probably due to me not knowing Remnant in detail.
A closer investigation proves that bandits raided it and took whatever they can get. Except the drugs. Strange. No matter, I should return back to Mistral and report as to what had happened to it. As I walked back to my bike, Fou started barking at something. That and the voice in my head called out.
You are being ambushed by Grimm.
Next thing I knew, Grimm of various types appeared from the bushes and surrounded me and I'm sure there are like 30 of them. I think. Without hesitation I pulled out my gun and sword to get ready for a fight. Fou could also be heard growling before running back to me and much to my surprise, jumped straight towards one of the Beowolfs behind me and kicked it in the face.
Said Beowolf went flying before slamming against a tree and began to disintegrate. That got the other Grimm to begin their assault as Beowolves, Ursas, Boarbatusk and several other types of Grimm charged at both me and Fou. I was actually excited for a chance to test my gear out on some Grimm and as much as I want to deny it, things were getting a bit boring for my taste.
Or was its Mordred's taste? No matter.
"Dunno about you, but we got some Grimm to kill!" I grinned at Fou before I pointed my gun at the oncoming Grimm and fired shot after shot. Each, much to my surprise actually lands on them, though only one was a headshot. Most just hit the limbs or the bodies of the Grimm and they just shrugged it off.
Sensing a Beowolf swiping at me from behind, I immediately ducked under the swipe and sent a horizontal slash that bisected the Beowolf into two. Without pause, I dashed back as a Boarbatusk then missed me as it ran past me. With my enhanced perception, time seemed to slow down before I dashed forward with Mana Burst and kicked the Boar onto its back.
"Rah!" I roared as I plunged my sword into the weak point of Boarbatusk through the belly as it squealed in pain before expiring. Sensing another attack coming to the side, I let go of my sword and sent a left hook towards Ursa's arm as it attempted to maul me. What resulted was its entire arm being turned to smithereens before I shot it right under the chin as it collapsed.
Fou could also be seen fighting as well. Much to my surprise as from what I've seen, Fou doesn't like to get his hands? Paws? Dirty, unless pressured if I'm correct. But watching a tiny fluffy boi punting Grimm left and right and being clearly smaller than they are is pretty entertaining and hilarious. And dare I say, adorable…
Cough…
Anyways, while fighting against a wave of Grimm, I noticed that one of the Beowolfs, which I suspect is the alpha, managed to grab Fou as he was kicking Grimm left and right. I then dashed in and with one slash, I cut the alpha's head off with one clean stroke as Fou crawled out of the dead alpha's grip and chirped at me. I think he's saying thanks to me.
Next thing I knew, another voice could be heard in my head as it whispered.
Nevermore projectiles incoming.
That's all I need to know as I dodged to the side as Nevermore feathers could be seen raining down upon the battlefield. I could only dodge or deflect the oncoming feathers as Fou could be seen having an easier time dodging due to his small size. As for the rest of the attacking Grimm? They were hit by their own kind as Nevermore feathers could be seen piercing various Grimm and even killing some of them in the process.
"Talk about friendly-fire." I joked to myself as I reload my gun before slashing another Ursa in the chest and fired a shot towards another in the face. The next thing I knew was that a Nevermore swooped down towards me while I was fending off another Boarbatusk, and so I did what most people 'probably' wouldn't do.
I proceeded toss my gun into the air before catching it by the barrel before slapping the Nevermore right in the face with the grip of my gun, and to my utter surprise, it worked! And also, my gun didn't break as well! Said Nevermore flew across the battlefield and took down numerous other Grimm that got in the way but in the end, the battle was won.
I have to admit to myself, it was actually refreshing to get back to fighting… Never mind, I should just be happy that both I and Fou are alive. Speaking of Fou, he took out many by himself! And if I'm correct, none of the Grimm managed to land a single hit on him. Except that one time I had to bail him out but he did the same for me. So, it's good.
"Fou!" Fou chirped as he suddenly jumped from a Grimm's corpse and towards me as I kneeled down.
"Tired little buddy?" I asked as Fou chirped back.
"Kyyyu..." That was all that emerged from Fou's mouth before he jumped right into my arms and caused me to fall onto my back with Fou on top of me. This caught me off guard but the shock changed to giggles as Fou began to nuzzle me.
Holy hell he's so cute!
"Hehehahaha!" My giggles became laughs as Fou slowly climbed onto my shoulder and rested on it as I got up.
"Fooou."
"Yea, we should go back now, eh?" At this point I was guessing as to what Fou was trying to say, but he seemed content enough that he wished to follow me. Though, I still wonder how he ended up here. Or why was he following me, since the feeling of being followed dissipated when Fou revealed himself. But now at least I have a companion. Well… A companion that was made to wipe humanity off the face of the world.
But a companion nonetheless.
And so, I got onto my bike with Fou and prepared to make my way back to Mistral before I depart for Vale. Then it hit me, how am I supposed to hide Fou from the crowds? Fou is one of a kind and having him would no doubt earn raised eyebrows of an animal no one had ever seen before. Or would they just lose themselves to how cute he is.
"Fou?" Fou must have sensed my thoughts as he looked at me before tilting his head while on my shoulder.
Should I ask Fou to hide in my overcoat? Or in my bag that I brought along? "Hey Fou, do you want to hide in my bag or overcoat?" I asked as Fou looked at me with those eyes of his before he crawled into one of my bags with his head sticking out of it.
"Well then, when we reach the city, can you stay in the bag? I'll tell you when it's safe k?" I asked back as Fou chirps.
"Fou fou!"
Is that a yes? No? Maybe? I'm just going to guess that Fou said yes.
"Right. Let's go then." I muttered as I wore my sunglasses before revving up my bike and drove off back to Mistral with Fou in my bag. I need to make preparations to make my leave to Vale soon.
Jeanne POV
After encountering what could be summarised as a slaughter in the warehouse and a fight against someone, she's familiar with, Jeanne as of yet, was in a Bullhead with the Ace ops back to Atlas but more accurately, towards the Atlas Command Centre. After all, they had made a request for her to see the general and she obliged.
Yet, her encounter with Atalanta was one of confusion, when Jeanne used her True Name Discernment skill on her. It brought more confusion as now; her full name is Atalanta Alter and her class is berserker. Was she already like that when she was summoned? And Katou Danzou…
To think that she and Atalanta shared the same master, but who exactly? Jeanne could only wonder herself as she gazed out the windows.
Seeing Atlas at night was way different from seeing it in the day. Teal lights that seemed to extend out into the night skies, skyscrapers littered the entire city as Bullheads could be seen flying all over the city itself or could be seen descending to Mantle below. All as Atlesian Airships could be seen watching over the city like guardians overseeing the protection of their people.
It was way different in her time in Romania back in the third Holy Grail War.
Jeanne could only watch as the Bullhead made its way through the city of Altas and towards the centre of the floating city. It was then that Clover could be heard speaking to her.
"Ruler, I've spoken to the general and he will see you in the morning. In the meantime, my team will escort you to a room for you to stay in and all accommodations will be provided as well."
"Ah, thank you for your generosity, Ebi." Jeanne smiled as she gave a small bow of appreciation as the Bullhead began to land. And as the aircraft began to land, a woman wearing all white as well as having white hair and slate-blue eyes could be seen waiting for them all. Another notable thing is that she had bags under her eyes. An obvious sign that she hasn't slept in a while.
"Specialist Winter." Clover winched slightly from the pain as he and the Ace ops saluted, Winter then saluted back despite her exhaustion.
"Special Operative Ebi." Winter then landed her gaze on Jeanne who was watching the interaction a distance away before she spoke again. "I see… So, you're the one who worked with the Ace ops in. I thank you for assisting them in their operation."
Jeanne could only nod as she walked forward and offered Winter a handshake. "Their help was greatly appreciated."
Winter stared at Jeanne's hand before she took it with her own and shook it. "I will not take your time any longer. But I will wait for you outside your room tomorrow. I wish you the best of night." Winter finished off before she walked off.
"Well then." Clover muttered out loud as Marrow could be seen covering his mouth to hide a yawn. "Ruler if you please, follow us and we shall take you to your room for the night." Jeanne just nodded back as the Ace ops escorted her to a room that has a bed with several clothes on it already present on it, the room itself also comes with a heater at the corner of the room as the door leads to the bathroom itself.
Jeanne could only turn around to see the Ace ops nodding at her as Clover spoke up. "As what Specialist Winter had said earlier, she would pick you up by morning. If you have any more questions, you may refer to the scroll tablet on the table over there." Clover then points at the white scroll on the table.
"I see… Will we see each other again?" Jeanne then genuinely asked. She's getting the hang of those guys and they don't seem so bad.
Marrow let out a chuckle as Elm couldn't help herself but snorted from what Jeanne had just said, Harriet on the other hand just raised an eyebrow before subtly shaking her head. Clover's cheeks turned slightly red when he heard what Ruler had said to him, but he realised what she actually meant and responded back.
"Well, I need to give my report to the general of what had happened earlier on. I'm sure we'll be there with the general tomorrow. See you soon." Clover then signalled his team to follow him as Jeanne closed the door before walking to the windows and stared into the city.
Jeanne let her mind wonder a bit as to what brought her here. But then, she sensed a massive magical energy before it went out as fast as it came. And that brought concerns to her. She can tell that magical energy she had just felt was someone using her Noble Phantasm. More accurately, it's an anti-fortress Noble Phantasm. But who did it?
Jeanne could only let out an exhausted sigh before she took the pyjamas left for her and went to the bathroom. While she technically doesn't need to do basic human needs due to her being a servant, she still enjoys doing it. Besides, the food in Remnant is much more unique than on Earth. That she won't deny it.
The next day…
Jeanne was picked up by Winter as both of them immediately went to Ironwood's office at the request of Jeanne who wishes to focus on meeting the general. No doubt he would be curious of her and Arc- no. Berserker now, from the Ace ops. Though she had to wonder to herself, can she perhaps ask for their help in tracking down Saber of red? No, that won't go well.
Jeanne was lost in thought as both she and Winter entered the elevator that took them to Ironwood's office. Yet Winter was giving suspicious glances at her, though it was justifiable.
It was then that the elevator door opened up to a circular room featuring dark blue metallic walls and windows. The floor of the office itself depicts constellations in the form of golden stars. Ironwood could be seen sitting on his desk as well as the Ace ops that she'd met just beside him.
"General." Winter saluted as Ironwood could be seen saluting back.
"Specialist Winter. I see you've brought our 'guest' here. Thank you for doing that. You may stand beside me." Ironwood thanked his subordinate as Winter could be seen walking beside him as Ironwood shuffled and pulled out a piece of paper that contained Clover's report.
"Now then, Ruler, it's a pleasure to meet you, can you take a seat? We have much to discuss." Ironwood stood up and extended a palm towards the chair in front of him. Jeanne could only nod in response as she approached forward and took her seat as Ironwood does the same.
"I've received the report from yesterday from Special Operative Ebi about the investigation of the murder cases of child traffickers. I'd like to ask some questions as well as your opinions to offer a clearer picture of the whole scenario that happened yesterday, as well as some personal questions as to who you are. Is that alright with you?" Ironwood then asked as Jeanne nodded back.
"That I can help you with."
"Good. Then let's not waste any more time." Ironwood then looked at both Winter and the Ace ops as both nodded before Ironwood looked back at Jeanne. "First of all, why do you call yourself ruler? If I may ask? In my entire life, I've never heard of anyone calling themselves that. Though at the same time, you've been known as the Saint of Mantle from what we've managed to gather about you. Reports say you helped everyone that you could, no matter whether they are human or Faunus. Admirable I must say." Ironwood started out as Jeanne thought through what he had just said.
"That is true, I do help all of them because it was the right thing that needs to be done. As for why I call myself Ruler," Jeanne paused as Ironwood, Winter and the Ace ops subtly leaned in closer. "It is just the name I prefer to call myself from where I was from." At this point, Jeanne could only pray to God to forgive her for lying to the people about the identity as to who she was, but she couldn't trust them despite them offering her accommodations.
"Then Berserker and Assassin are both from where you're from?" Ironwood then took another piece of paper as he grips it with both of his hands. Jeanne just nodded in response. "Yes, though where we stay is isolated and I prefer not to say where for their sake."
"Interesting… Then we have one related to 'Berserker'. From what the Ace ops have reported, Berserker seemed to have a… grudge against you and mainly focused on you unless they got in the way. Is there a reason as to why?" Ironwood moved on as Jeanne sighed. "It's a personal matter for her, I refuse to speak more about it."
"I see…"
"General, Permission to speak please." Marrow then made a request as his teammates gave Marrow the look.
"Permission granted." Ironwood waved off as he continued reading onto the report.
"Ruler, are you by chance related to the Arc Knights of Vale?" Marrow then asked as Jeanne gave him a quizzed look.
"Arc Knights? Who are they?" Jeanne could only ask with confusion as everyone could look at her with shock.
"You have no idea who they are?" Ironwood then asked as Jeanne shook her head in response.
"No. I've never heard of such an organisation. Can you give me a brief history as to who they were?" Jeanne then asked as Ironwood nodded.
"The Arc Knights are of a major importance in Valeian history. They played a crucial part in the rulership of the last King of Vale. They served as the sword and shield of the Kingdom and were active in the Great war. However, after the Vytal Peace Accord to end the Great war, their achievement and legacy just faded away as time passed." Ironwood explained as Jeanne could only rub her chin. This world is just full of surprises. Both good and bad.
In the end of their discussion/questioning, Ironwood asked a few more questions as well as what she plans to do next. When she answered that she wishes to head for Mistral. This earned eyebrows but she explained that she desires to see someone she knew that was at Mistral as of yet. Unaware that Mordred plans to move on to Vale soon.
In the end, Ironwood surprisingly agrees to let Ruler go as a sign of good faith and for assisting the Ace ops in the investigation. But as everyone left the room. Ironwood could look bothered as he only glanced at papers on his desk before activating his hologram, the hologram activates as it showed Ozpin on his chair who looked bothered as much as he was.
"Ozpin. I've got something that I need to share with you."
"As do I, Ironwood. I too have much to discuss with you, it's related to Leon. And it's serious."
Mordred POV
It took at least a day for me to reach back to Mistral and back to my hotel with Fou alongside me ever since I found him back at the convoy wreckages. Turns out the little fella prefers fruits and nuts for food. I also took the chance to report back and told them as to what had happened to the convoy. While also reporting that the convoy was carrying drugs as well.
As a result of that, I was paid rather handsomely.
Nice.
Hmm… Wasn't Fou's true name Cath Palug? Which is basically a demonic cat thing? Must be a- oh Fou doesn't like that.
Turns out Fou was observing me and was patting me in the face with his paws with a notable frown on his face. Also, Fou doesn't really like to hide in my bag. I just learned about that when he popped right out of my bag when we reached my room. Though that's the reason I managed to get Fou passed everyone without anyone noticing. I doubt I can keep pulling it off but we shall see.
"Fou."
"Sorry about that." I gave a small smile as I scratched his chin with my finger. Fou must have really liked it as his expression changed to one of content. At the same time, I pulled out my scroll and got a message that what I ordered is ready to be collected.
"Hey Fou," I asked as Fou looked at me. "I need to leave the hotel to collect my order. Can you wait till I get back? I'll buy some apples for you." I said that as I stood up and stretched a bit. Fou apparently doesn't like that as his long ear sank down horizontally.
"Fou…"
I could let out a sigh as I kneeled down towards him and rubbed his head. "It won't be long, ok? I'll be back, besides after this, we're heading to Vale." Fou tilted his head at me before chirping in an almost understanding tone. Or at least, that's what I guessed.
And so, I left the room and headed towards a mask shop less than an hour's drive on my motorbike from my hotel and as I entered it. A brown woman with pink eyes and blond hair in a rather… exotic choice of clothing greeted me.
"Ah! Saber! The order you've made is doneeeee!" She greeted me in a rather exaggerated way…
…
Why do people like her exist? It really makes me really want to punch her face to silence that infernal racket she's making.
Whatever.
"Right. Can I have a look at it?" I asked while deadpanned. Weirdo.
"Of course! Here and enjoy the fruits of my labourrrr!" She continued on before pulling out a rather creepy human face mask that was obviously made from a light and durable metal alloy. Parts of the mask itself were of a notably darker shade of white which are mostly around the jawline and forehead.
I then began to test the weight of the mask before nodding in approval. "Good just like what I asked for." I kept the mask in my bag before passing the required Lien to the eccentric cashier.
"Ok, take care." I waved off before leaving the store.
"Take care as well! And do come again! Oh! And bring your friends along!"
"God, I swear, help me recover from that woman. She's too much for me" I could only think of that before I went off to book a ticket for a flight to Vale which was due in two days and it was on the weekend. Perhaps I can say goodbye to Sun and Neptune before I leave. For now, at least. Oh, and the length of the flight was around a week. I also took the time to ask them if they can also take my motorbike along and they say I could, but I must pay a fee on the day itself. Fair enough I suppose.
After that, I made my way to the markets to get some snacks and fruits as well. Normally I wouldn't normally snack often back in my old world, but me being stuck in Remnant and in Mordred's body changed that. Now I would often grab a bite or have much larger portions. I'm actually glad all of that eating is being converted into magical energy instead of fats or something like that.
Anyways, I ended up buying some chocolates which I wonder where they got it from, some fruits, nuts for Fou and biscuits as well. It took a while but I soon arrived back at my hotel and as I opened the door to my room, I just saw Fou sleeping on my bed. Kinda like a cat honestly.
Oh wait.
Immediately snapping myself out, I could quietly close the door quietly before walking straight to my camping equipment and just dump it there. I don't really have that much space so I'll just make do with what I have. Besides, I doubt those snacks are going to last due to how fast I devour them. I swear, my brother was nicknamed the blackhole of food back at home. Now I overtook him with how much I eat. It's ridiculous.
Besides that, it was already approaching night time and I might as well give both Sun and Neptune a message about my plans to leave for Vale. It would be rather rude of me to just ghost them. Not especially since they were, technically, the first friends I've had since I stepped foot in Remnant. But then what next once I arrive in Vale? I couldn't help but wonder as I sat on the bed and watched as Fou slept.
Being so close to Ozpin and his gang or team RWBY would no doubt result in me interacting with them sooner than later. I could only hope that our interaction would be on the positive side. Either that, or they would be hostile to my plans to eliminate those who threaten Remnant. Now that I think about it, I need Torchwick first to find Cinder bitch.
I wonder… Has the ending of Vol 1 occurred yet? Perhaps I can use that to capture Torchwick from everyone's noses and then use him to help me find Cinder, kill her and let him go. That might work but would put me at odds with part of team RWBY, and Sun. And Penny. Especially Penny since she maybe could detect that something is different about me. Similar to how she recognizes that Blake is a cat Faunus. She must have scanned Blake and realised that she's a cat Faunus via genetics I guess.
I might have to wear my armour and bring out Clarent to hide who I am. But that would no doubt alert Ozpin since he no doubt has excess to the city's cameras. Perhaps I should go in, snag Torchwick and get out of there. That is for the best.
Now that I think about it, I haven't heard much from Raven, I know that she's probably not dead since I didn't get the maiden's powers. Either that or it went to a different woman and that would suck. Best case, she's in a coma which means that Ozpin won't have much information on me. Worst case, she's fully awake and told Ozpin as to who I was.
And that would be bad.
Very bad.
"I guess time will tell." I thought to myself as I turned off the lights and went to sleep, however, much to my surprise, Fou woke up before crawling on top of me then going to sleep again.
I could only let out a silent chuckle as I let the darkness take me for the night.
Morgan has encountered many things in her many lives. Some might say that her previous death was the most substantial. Witnessing betrayal once again when the wretched Faes held her daughter, Baobhan Sith, as a hostage by Spriggan before her death. That bastard. How dare he hold her daughter as a hostage.
To say the least, upon her surprising revival once again despite the fact that her previous life was supposed to be her last. Even more interesting, information about what had happened after her death appeared in her head as memories of how her kingdom fell to the infighting of the Fae, Vortigern unleashing his might and the rise of the beast god she tried so hard to prevent it from rising. And Chaldea ending all the threats on Britain at the cost of her kingdom.
But the most important one is that Oberon was Vortigern all along. And his death should make her realm safer.
And also because of that, Morgan did everything she could do to ensure none of the clan leaders could threaten her, especially Aurora, who she kept alive for the sake of Lancelot. Woodwose on the other hand, due to his loyalty being genuine, the fang clan were spared from her punishment and even larger restraint on the rest of the clans.
But enough of looking back, Morgan now stands at the crossworks of worlds in the form of a massive portal. It has been weeks since that portal opened up and it was during that time that her army managed to push the Grimm hordes back to where they came from. They also manage to establish an outpost within reach of the portal itself to guard against any Grimm that dares pass through it.
It was also during that time that she used her powers on the one responsible for controlling the Grimm. Yet, time after time, more Grimm enter through the portal and clash against her already stationed guards. But now, Morgan is more interested as to how to shut the portal down as her knights could be seen behind.
But to her surprise, it resisted any attempts to close it. Even with her vast magical powers. Her knights can tell that their queen is affected by that revelation and one of them took the chance to ask her.
"Your majesty, is something wrong?" Fae Gawain then asked as Morgan shook her head and looked back at her knight.
"There is a... complication. It appears that I can't close it directly from here, something else on the other side is blocking my attempts." Morgan then gazes back onto the portal as Fae Tristan then spoke.
"Mother, you mean that something on the other world is preventing you from closing this rift?" Morgan just nodded as Gawain was next.
"Then what do you command, your majesty? Shall we marshal the forces and march through?"
"No." Morgan rejected that idea. "That would earn the ire of the local humans."
"Why does it matter, mother? Might as well subjugate them and teach them their place. Besides, it is way faster than finding out why you can't close it." Fae Tristan gave her dismissive views on humans across the world.
"Forgive me, but I have to agree with your majesty Tristan. Invading another world would be a logistical challenge. That and the fact that the other world lacks magic, it would mean that we would need to seek out alternative sources to fuel our magical needs. That and from what Danzou had told your majesty, the humans of that world are more technologically advanced. Overconfidence is a flimsy shielded Tristan." Lancelot pointed out as Tristan scoffed at her while Gawain was still silent.
It was then that Danzou could be seen emerging through the portal before kneeling before Morgan. "Danzou reporting."
"You may rise, where is Berserker?" Morgan then asked when she noticed that Berserker is not with her.
"Berserker went off to hunt another Servant. It is also the reason I am here to report." Danzou reported as she rose to her feat.
"Who is that Servant, and where was that Servant found?" Morgan then asked.
"Current class of that servant is Ruler. True identity of the servant is unknown but Berserker seems to have a hostile relationship with her. Most likely she left to seek out Ruler. Ruler was detected in the Kingdom of Atlas, the most advanced of all the human kingdoms that subsidised its forces with autonomous units."
"Fascinating… Another Servant?" Morgan mutters as Danzou continues.
"I have also retrieved unique crystals from their world." Danzou pulled out several coloured crystals that glow. This understandably earned the attention of Morgan and her Fae knights as she continued. "The local humans called it Dust and use it as a form of power for their structures and propellant for their weapons. It is… Versatile in its uses."
Morgan then grabbed one of the crystals and observed it. Yet she can sense something within it. But it appears that her 'daughter' got it first.
"Mother, if I may, I sense magic within those crystals. It's faint but it's there…" Tristan mutters out as everyone's eyes widen at the implication.
"Is that so? Perhaps, there are more secrets within that world itself. If these crystals contain a faint of magic, there must be more out there." Morgan admitted.
"I will make a report and give you more details as to my findings." Danzou stood up and was about to make her way when Morgan stopped her.
"Before you go," Danzou stopped in her tracks as she looked at her lord. "I want you to assign Rider to find Mordred for me. And keep an eye on her. You on the other hand, I want you to gather as much of this, crystals as you can, once you're done with your report. I expect it within a day, understand?"
"Orders received my lord." And with that, Danzou vanished instantly as Morgan and her knights could only stare at that portal that binds their realm to another.
And we are done! WOOO!
So, Fou makes an appearance and I've technically foreshadowed his coming in my other story, "RWBY watches StarCraft 2" So yea, now Mordred has a companion. How did Fou get here? Well.. Shhhhh….. You may also have noticed that both Mordred and Jeanne sensed Morgan's NP but they don't know who did it exactly.
Next is the talk between Jeanne and Ironwood. As you can tell Jeanne had to lie about some details about her relations with Atalanta and some other stuff as well. Then we have Jeanne being called the saint of Mantle. It's a thing I came up with as Jeanne would be the person who would help everyone for the sake of helping others. So it makes sense for the locals of Mantle to at least see her as a saint of sorts.
Then we got the mention of the Arc knights. An idea that Jaune Arc's family were well known royal knights of the last king of Vale. It fits well if you were to ask me as well as the fun times if Jeanne and Jaune were to somehow meet. And the fact that the Arcs were royalty of sorts. So have at it.
Next is the masks that Mordred got for herself as a proper disguise. It's heavily based on Ash's rather robotic and creepy face from Apex Legends. (Call me out on it if you feel like it.)
And then we got the big drop of this chapter! And oh boy! Is that going to make things more interesting since now Morgan has her attention on Remnant but can't exactly march in. But what do you think about it?
