Hey guys! RGQC back again with another chapter of this story and man. It feels good to be back writing indeed. Anyways, I see that we're not that far to 1k followers, I wonder… Can we get closer to it? That would be sweet indeed don't ya think? And other than that, we got some comments to address, so let's get to it!

Zekken182: As stated by another comment later on and if you're been paying attention to the hints of the previous chapter, Rider was sent to watch over Mordred by Morgan, as well as other hints like recognizing the Saber faces as well as perceived blindness. That should be the hints you'll need. Also, thanks and I'm back!

Triscythe59: Oh, definitely triscythe. And things are going to get interesting when that happens… Or spicy, depends on your choice, I guess. I might be wrong but Vacuo houses the Relic of Destruction. Based on the fact that Vacuo's insignia shows swords. Vale's insignia shows the laurel wreath, which is a kind of crown. This indicates that Beacon houses the Relic of Choice but we don't know where Oz hid it. Anyways, they might play a part in the future… Honestly not so sure though…

SkyChaser17: True, true. Mordred is that kind of person after all. Her fight with team SSSN might be not necessary but Mordred is not the one who would say no to a fight. Emiya's peaceful day is going to get a whole lot worse once Mordred arrives at Vale, and also the other servants that follow Morgan would also be there eventually. Maybe? I'll think about it. Ozpin's day is indeed going to get worse. After all, it's not every day that heroic spirits roam Remnant like nothing and also with Morgan watching over Remnant with curiosity… well… He's going to need aspirins after all this mess. It would be funny indeed but I don't think Mordred would do that, unless she's tired of everyone's shit. After all, she enjoys the thrill of the fight and would no doubt wish to keep it going. Just look at her reaction when fighting against team SSSN.

RookieNewbie: Thanks for understanding! It really warms my heart that people would allow me to have breaks and such. I was genuinely under the impression that people would complain that I was keeping them waiting or what not. I'm glad that's not the case here.

Guest: Yea, I agree that I need a cap on the number of servants. After all, each of them can take on an army all by themselves with no issue. And I intended on working on them. Me seeing Milf Mordred… Yes pls. Sit on me. *Chuckles*

MumeiMyLove: Good to know. In fact, I actually pulled up their profile on the wikia to get a better grasp of their personalities. I'm glad it worked and all. You're correct. I was indeed going for that kind of tone between Ozpin and Ironwood. After all, none of them had fought anything like Servants or the idea of an entirely new realm inhabited by the vilest of beings.

Guppy72: *Chuckles*

RedBurningDragon: Indeed. Morgan won't sick her knights on anyone or directly intervene in Remnant's affairs unless she was forced to or something earned her interest. In this case, Dust itself has earned her interest. Or Mordred since they basically share the same face. But yes, she's more interested in making sure that her realm is secured.

And we're done with all the reviews which isn't much it'll do. Let's get this chapter on the way and I think you're going to like what I thought of.

Like with my other stories and this one, I do not own RWBY or any of the Fate series. All of them belong to their respective owners as such.

Chapter 12

Unintended Side Effects

It's been a few days since Jeanne left Altas and was heading straight for Mistral with the assistance of the general Ironwood who provided her with a transport to Argus, Jeanne walked through the busy streets of the city port while admiring its architecture and overall mood of the place. As of yet, she was wearing dark blue blazer jacket and matching pants, and a white dress shirt alongside a dark blue tie. In a way, her choice of clothing was remising of her time back in the Grail wars.

That wasn't the only thing she had with her; it was during that the general had also granted her a gift before she left Atlas. A hand-held communication device called a scroll by the locals. The one given to her was of similar colour to her battle outfit which was strangely convenient indeed but it works. She remembered the conversation she had with the general before she left Atlas with their aid.

Days back…

Jeanne remembers that day that the general wishes to meet her before she leaves, she obliged as the ace ops picked her up the next day before escorting her to Ironwood's office.

"General Ironwood." Jeanne called the general when they finally reached his office as he could be seen on his desk as Winter could be seen standing beside him.

"Ruler," Ironwood greeted her. "I'm glad you've made it. Ace ops, you may leave now." He said as the ace ops saluted at Ironwood before leaving as he and Winter saluted back at the ace ops.

"I've heard that you wished to meet me before I leave, is there anything you need?" Jeanne asked as she sat down on the chair with Ironwood's permission as Winter pulled out a box from somewhere.

"Yes. In fact, I wish to give you a…" Ironwood noticeably glanced at Winter before looking back at Ruler. "Parting gift."

"A parting gift?" Jeanne asked as she slightly tilted her head. She was now curious, why would the general give her a gift? She could only wonder as Ironwood continued.

"Yes, I was made aware that you lack a scroll during your stay in Atlas." Ironwood stated as Winter passed him a box before he opened it up and presented the device to Ruler. Jeanne could only wonder how the general knew that she didn't have this 'scroll'?

"As a sign of good faith between the both of us, I want you to have this." Ironwood presented a violet painted scroll to which Ruler took it only to be startled by it when it unfolds itself.

"May I ask, do you know how to use it?" Ironwood then asked as Jeanne paused as she tried to get a hang of it.

"Not exactly. I'd say that this is my first scroll I've had." Jeanne could only answer the general honestly, she had no idea what she's doing with it nor how to use it well.

"I see…" Ironwood looked at his second who just nodded back at him as he looked back at Ruler who was struggling with the scroll. "Specialist Winter can help you with it." He continued on as Winter walked towards Ruler and began telling her the details on how to use the device. Though Ruler didn't know that the scroll was modified to have a hidden tracker programme inside it.

With it, Ironwood can keep an eye on Ruler's activities, who she called, where she is and such. Due to the fact that Ruler was leaving soon, he had to employ Pietro's assistance as well as Penny to help out in making the programme just in time just to keep an eye on Ruler. Pietro did question the reason as to why they need to make such a programme as it seemed strange to make one, but Ironwood just says that it's state business and that it was needed. Petro then relented while Penny seemed willing to help out without question.

Nevertheless, Ironwood watched as Winter guided Ruler as to how to use the scroll before she was dismissed from his office with the help from Winter. And as Ruler left his office, Ironwood then activated the console as it brought up a screen showing a red dot going down from his office.

Ironwood just nodded as he pressed another button as now, he could hear Winter and Ruler having a conversation about the scroll.

Back to the present…

Jeanne then taped on the scroll before it displayed that she still had a day or so before a train would arrive and take her to Mistral, then she would look and find Saber there. Hopefully. Jeanne continues to walk through the streets as she observes a several stories tall wall that seems to surround the port. She remembered reading about how the majority of humanity seemed to huddle in massive cities with walls to protect them from the Grimm, it appears that is true for some towns it seemed. But it still doesn't explain the military base that belongs to Atlas a distance away.

Why does this town have an Atlas military garrison here? There must be a reason as to why it has one to begin with. But things weren't as smooth as Jeanne thought, as recent reports show that the Grimm all over Remnant had been sent into a frenzy for some reason. On the news, there were reports that at first, Grimm activity had diminished. But now? Something happened that causes the Grimm to go into a state of hyper aggression and there's already been reports of Grimm actively tearing each other apart for some reason, or launching full scale suicidal attacks on local villages or even cities.

Jeanne can't help but wonder why these things are acting so strange. But that got her to think, was it due to the magical energies she sensed days back when she was in Atlas? That might now explain why the Grimm were acting so aggressive now. And that can't be good. If Noble Phantasms can cause the local Grimm to act aggressively, what would happen should servants with much stronger Noble Phantasms were to use theirs? Would it drive the local fauna into an even deeper state of frenzy?

Jeanne could only wonder only for her thoughts to be interrupted with a terrifying roar that shook the port as she could only look towards the sea to see a massive Grimm slowly walking towards the port itself. It only got worse that the presence of such monstrosity has caused a panic and because of the sudden spike of negative emotions, legions of Grimm flyers could be seen over the city itself and began to gather around the Leviathan.

The situation got even worse when a second Leviathan suddenly rose up from the sea and gave its own roar before both of them began to charge towards the port. This immediately got civilians around Jeanne to start running as never in their lives had they had never seen two Leviathans attacking the port at once. Jeanne could only narrow her own eyes, she has to do something or else, many will die. Nevertheless, the same settlement was felt by the defenders as Manta aircrafts could already be seen dogfighting in the air and Altas guards could be seen mobilising to action.

"Miss, would you please follow everyone else?" One of the Altas guards asked Jeanne to follow the rest of the civilians who could be seen running towards the gates. Though it was obvious to her that the guards were obviously nervous as well. Jeanne looked at the guard and back towards the two monstrosities slowly making their way as Hard-Light Dust barriers erected from the sea up. But the strain of two massive Grimm pushing against it seemed too much for it as it broke apart.

"Help the others escape." Jeanne responded back as a determined frown appeared on her face as she began to walk towards the port itself.

"Miss! Where are you going?" The guard immediately asked as he rested his hand on Jeanne's shoulder only for her to look back at him in an almost begging tone.

"Please. Help the others get to safety… I'll be fine."

"R-Right… Just be sure to get back soon, I doubt that even with our Colossus we could hold those two things back together." The guard nodded as he went off to escort the other civilians to safety.

Jeanne then began to run into one of the corridors before a small flash engulfs her body as it was now replaced with her battle dress. She then began to jump straight up the buildings until she landed on the roof to see a massive mech already moving towards the battle field as it began to fire its cannons onto the two Leviathans.

"Colossus engaging the foe!" A female voice could be seen as both Leviathans fired their breath attack and destroyed the second barrier as it also hit the colossus but its shields protected it from the leviathan's breath attack.

"May God grant me strength." Jeanne muttered to herself before she channelled her magical energies before launching herself directly at one of the massive Grimm at such inhuman speeds.

Inside the colossus…

Never in her life had she seen two Leviathans ever attack Argus at once before. Nevertheless, it is her duty to defend Argus from any Grimm threats all for the glory of the Kingdom of Atlas! If she has to take on two of those monsters alone with her Colossus, then so be it! She shall take them all on and show these Grimm the AWESOME power of Atlas! (God help me. I can feel the cringe coursing through my veins as I wrote this part.)

So, as she continues to pilot the mech from the inside, one of the screens has a popup message alerting her to a message from Argus base as she clicks on it. "Ma'am we're detecting something… No, someone? Heading straight towards those Leviathans. The person on the other side of the speaker seemed confused."

"What?! Confirm." Cordovin demanded.

"Confirm ma'am, whoever that person is, they should be in your vision soon."

Cordovin looked through all her screens until she noticed one showing a woman in a dress with armour of sorts? Flying directly towards one of the Leviathans wielding what's clearly a flag on a pole with a tipped end. Even more surprising was how fast she was flying towards it!

One of the leviathans seems to notice the oncoming person and it moves its arms to swipe the incoming projectile. Cordovin, seeing it distracted, launched several volleys of missiles which all struck the massive Grimm as she shouted into her loudspeaker.

"Unidentified civilian! You are to pull back this instant! The battlefield does not need unprofessionals that will jeopardise the mission! If you do not return to the portside this instant, I will deal with you myself when this is over! Do you hear me?!" Cordovin screamed into her mic.

Jeanne could only give a glance at the Atlas mech user inside the Colossus in utter confusion. Why is she acting so arrogant about it? Nevertheless, the missile barrage from earlier did stun one of the leviathans which allowed her to get within hitting range of its face. Jeanne let out a cry out as the flag began to glow with magical energy.

"Hyah!" Jeanne let out a thundering yell as slammed her flagpole onto the side of the Leviathan's face, her attack instantly shattered its face plate and sent a massive shockwave that could be felt by anyone within the vicinity. It also sent the Leviathan tumbling down onto the other one standing next to it. Knocking both of them down with a splash, much to the utter shock and awe of everyone watching from the port and the cameras, as this unknown person single handedly knocked down a Leviathan with one hit!

"What?!" Cordovin cried out in shock and confusion over the speaker. "Unbelievable! Impossible! I refuse to let some upstart steal the glory of Atlas!" Cordovin then piloted the Colossus to open fire and unleash everything the mech had to offer as Jeanne landed on the Leviathans legs which were sticking out of the waters, before seeing the Colossus unleashing volley after volley of attacks as she covered her face with her arm.

Yet, the Leviathans really hated that as both of them slowly got up and unleashed another terrifying roar before one sent its breath attack directly at the massive Atlas mech. Though Jeanne could only wonder one thing. Why in God's name is that woman so prideful? And claims that she's here to steal the glory. Can't she see that she's helping her defend Argus?

It was then that the Leviathan Jeanne was on then tried to swipe her only to miss as Jeanne jumped over its attack before running up its arm all while it tried to get back up onto its feet. Jeanne then had to dodge to the side as a missile had barely missed her before she leapt into the air and noticed a large opening in its head of what used to be a face plate.

"There!" Jeanne cried out as she focused all her might as she plunged her flagpole right into the opening she earlier had made. Her flag glowed once more with magic as she thrust it into the leviathan's one of many eyes. It screamed in pain as Jeanne did a backflip to avoid a cannon round that came from the colossus and hit Leviathan in the face. Killing it instantly.

"You are to leave this instant! Or you will be caught in the crossfire. And I will not be the one who has to write in the reports as to why you died!" Cordovin yelled out again as the colossus could be seen running in before plunging its drill into the other Leviathan who was still on the ground. Jeanne could only stare in awe at such a gigantic machine when she's so close to it. Come to think of it, it sorta reminded her of her fight against Caster of Black in a way…

She then watched as the other Leviathan then collapsed before she looked out and gazed onto the seas. For a long time, she always wanted to see the oceans when she arrived in Argus via airship. In fact, just watching the sea itself puts her at ease, and serves as a reminder that this world has its own share of beauties. But it's best she returned back to port and blend in with the crowds, no doubt that woman would come here for 'attempting to steal her kill'. Jeanne could only silently pray that whoever that woman was, she would learn humility as her pride and arrogance would eventually bite her sooner than later.

And so, Jeanne entered into her spirit form and made her way back to the port. Much to everyone's confusion from her disappearance, since everyone was still paying attention to the Colossus shoving its drill into the other Grimm Leviathan's skull. But the port was saved nevertheless. Jeanne then reappeared in an alleyway and back to her casual clothes before joining everyone else as if nothing had happened at all.

"WHAT?! Where did she go?!" Cordovin could be heard yelling inside the Colossus, this random person shows up out of nowhere and knocks down one of those abominations with one hit before killing it with another? What kind of sick joke is this? There's no way one person can unbelievably be that strong to do that! She must be found and detained for her actions! But before Cordovin could say or do anything, she received a message from the general himself. What an honour it must be!

"This is general Ironwood speaking here." Ironwood's voice could be heard as Cordovin gave a salute despite the fact that the general couldn't see her at all.

"General. What can I do for you?" Cordovin then asked as Ironwood's somewhat tired tone could be heard from the other side.

"Cordovin, I have been informed of the Leviathan threat. What's your status? Is the threat contained?"

"Yes sir! Both Leviathans are taken out and proves that we are strong against them! But I must report on an individual that joined the fight unwelcomed. I have full intention on lo-" Cordovin was interrupted by Ironwood who denied her intention.

"Permission denied Cordovin. Leave that individual alone, she helped in the defence of Argus, there's no need for their arrest. I expect a damage report as soon as you are able to. Ironwood out." Ironwood then cut the message as he looked at Winter who was to his left before looking back. He never liked talking to Cordovin. He finds her arrogance and pride that Atlas is the best too much, even for him, many others also disliked her so much that she was sent to Argus for being a nuisance to everyone.

Ironwood looked on the screen displaying what had happened in slow motion. Key points include Ruler seemingly jumping towards the Grimm Leviathans at such ridiculous speeds, her one attack causing a shockwave as well as shattering its faceplate, and Ruler suddenly vanishing from sight. Another tab to Ironwood's right shows Jeanne's scroll being represented by a red dot in Argus, proving that the tracker is working well and it tracks her near the walls with the other civilians. Yet Ironwood could only narrow his eyes.

Ruler is more than she claimed she was, her movements and strength are clear indications that she is not actually human. What is she in fact? Ironwood could only wonder as Winter spoke up.

"Permission to speak in general."

"Permission granted."

"General, it is clear that despite whoever she claims she was, it's obvious that she cares for the people, seeing that she intervened to fight against the Leviathans even though she didn't have to."

"That is true…" Ironwood hummed as he viewed the video feed of Ruler fading into blue dust before seemingly disappearing, over and over again.

"What are you Ruler? Perhaps Ozpin can tell who you are if he meets you…"

Mordred POV.

While on my trip to Vale onboard the sail ship, I hadn't been idling by. Most of the time, I've been looking through the CCTs and found some interesting news related to Grimm that popped up recently.

The world had been wondering as to the strange behaviour of the Grimm as of late, I was too. First was the case in which Grimm concentrations have dropped around the world and been found converging into a single spot-on Remnant. Many theories have been circulating the CCTs for quite a while already as to why they were acting that way.

Some sound decently logical and others made me question what they were thinking of when they made this theory of theirs, I mean, space aliens? Yea maybe, but that sounds stupid even for me. But things had gotten even more complicated when suddenly the Grimm went into a form of hyper aggression, in which Grimm were seen tearing each other apart or launching suicidal attacks.

To say the least, I was fucking confused while watching the news in the safety of the sail ship.

I mean, they are controlled by Salem and serve as her eyes and ears all over Remnant but that doesn't explain the cases in which Grimm could be seen attacking each other or throwing themselves at towns and cities in such suicidal attacks. What the hell is going on? That doesn't sound like Salem's doing. Did something happen to her? But then there's the case of that magical energy I'd felt days back.

A part of me could only suspect that another servant is a play here and causing everything to go out of control, yet that and then followed by the Grimm losing their goddamn minds At least, for the majority of them. The older ones, I'm not so sure… and began tearing each other apart. I fear that the presence of Servants is already fucking over everything and yet, I'm still impressed that humanity still holding on.

Wait, why did I say it like that?

Never mind that, I continue to watch the news on my bed, to say the least, after I left Mistral things had gotten well…

Boring.

I honestly don't know if it's just me or what, but my temper and emotions have been becoming more… rough and impatient. There are times in which I expressed more emotion than was necessary and it scares me to an extent. Just how far has Mordred influenced me already?

Nevertheless, I did leave the cabin to have a walk but either way, there's no recreational activities! It's just more cabins and a main diner! Sure, there's plenty of people to talk to and several did, but I never really had a meaningful conversation with them. Most of the conversations with them can be summarised as, excited for the Vytal Festival, going to Vale to see a relative or friend or just complaining about their rather fruitless lives. There are also Faunuses in the sailboat as well, and some express their surprise that I never gave a shit about their appearances.

I told them that people who are racist are fucking idiots when there's literal monsters of darkness to worry about, and that it doesn't benefit anyone in the slightest, so why be one in the first place? It just makes you look like an asshole. To say the least, they were genuinely touched and apparently disturbed by my bluntness at how stupid those humans were…

Ugh... Again, with that thought…

But point still stands, be a racist asshole in front of me, and you're gonna have a bad time even if I'm on a good day. Besides that, our meals came in the form of a buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. To say the least, it was hilarious to see everyone's surprised looks at me the first time we were seated together to have our meal. In fact, I had eaten my fifth plate of my meal with no hesitation or regret. Even the on-board chefs were surprised at the amount I've eaten.

Even funnier for me was that I had eaten more than the largest person I could see on this ship despite my small frame. Sooner than later, people went back to their meals though a couple of them could be heard talking about where all the food I ate went off to. Some of them even mentioned something about me having a bottomless pit for food.

Hehehehe…

Sucks to be them, I don't go fat. Though, I would forever be 1.54m tall. (Basically 60 inches.) Oh, and my uh, bust size. I can't help but to be jealous of the bust on some of the women I've seen ever since I got myself stuck on Remnant. I'm honestly not sure whether that's Mordred's thinking or mine. And this shit is confusing the hell out of me! Because I know for a fact that Mordred doesn't give a shit about her bust size, it's more of a fan thing that she's upset about her assets.

Unless this was a hidden thing from me. Then if that's the case, I dunno what to say anymore.

But I think we're getting distracted over flashbacks. As I continued flipping through channels with Fou happily sleeping on my lap, something of interest caught my attention, and it's related to Argus!

As I watched the news network, it explained things that were surprising to me. What's surprising was that an individual stepped in to help defend Argus from TWO bloody Leviathans! First of all, how the hell did two of those things attack at once?! Secondly, I would like to have the chance to take on one of those monstrosities by myself! There were even clips of the colossus itself attacking one of the leviathans with its cannons and missiles! What's there not to love about a giant mecha beating the shit out of monsters?!

Oh. I'm getting distracted, the main thing was that an unknown individual with a spear is definitely a Servant at first glance, but I can't tell exactly who though… The video quality was shit and was taken on the port itself by some civilians far away from the main action. All I know was that a Servant stepped in to help protect Argus from the Grimm before disappearing after both Leviathans were killed. But who is that Servant… they wield a spear… is that a lancer? Or another Servant that so happens to wield a spear like weapon?

I wonder…

Nevertheless, it sparked even more theories and questions as to who that person was as clips showed the individual whacking a Leviathan in the face and shattering its faceplate in one hit!

But that thought brought hope and comfort to me in a way. Good to know and see that there are other Servants here and protecting everyone. But that begs the question, why was that Servant doing there anyways? Could it be that they were minding their own business when the Leviathans attacked?

Could they be also like me and were looking out for other Servants? As if that's actually the reason. But there was this feeling in my head as I continued to listen to the news broadcast, I couldn't tell but whoever that person was, I knew them somehow. But I can't piece it together.

Yet as I sat on the bed staring at the TV screen, I unknowingly began to hum a song from my old world. Yet I don't even know why I began to hum it out, but it felt appropriate to my inner consciousness.

Music: Free Again

From: Lera Lynn

Note: I do not own it as well, similar to the other one I did chapters ago.

Are you dreaming?

Or are you living?

Been walking the same dead ends.

Dying the same death again and again.

Prisoner of isolation.

Fingers clawing, bleeding true.

An endless fever haunting you.

Some day we'll be free again.

Some day we'll be free again.

Faceless people.

Eyes in the shadows.

Been fighting the natural will.

Living the kill again and again.

Soldiers of a provocation.

Careless drones to loving you.

Fear and loathing stalking you.

Some day we'll be free again.

Some day we'll be free again.

Somе day we'll be free again.

We'll lеave the beast to drown in sin.

And fight in vain that brutal war within.

Prisoner of isolation.

Some day we'll be free again.

Some day we'll be free again.

Some day we'll be free again.

We'll leave the beast to drown in sin.

And fight in vain that brutal war within.

Honestly, it would be much better if I had a guitar or something, but as I hum through it, Fou seemed to be awoken by my singing as his ears twitched as his eyes opened up. Fou then looked at me and chirped as I smiled at him all while I began to scratch his ears as he began to nuzzle my hand before going back to sleep.

Once I finished humming out my song, I turned off the TV before as I began to fall asleep myself since it's like midnight and we would soon reach Vale in like a couple of days. Might as well get some rest.

Yet, as I closed my eyes, I continued to wonder in my mind.

"Just what am I dealing with here on Remnant that can cause that?"

In Vale…

Team RWBY were currently in the library studying for an upcoming test that was coming soon within a week or so, it was also during that time that the events of the Emerald Forest had already occurred and, it was during that time that their sister team wished to study alongside them, but they haven't arrived yet for some reason.

"Uh… where are they guys? Jaune says that they will be here soon…" Ruby asked as she flipped through her book as Weiss could be seen studying diligently beside her, Yang and Blake were sitting opposite Ruby and Weiss, though Yang was too busy reading comic books and not studying compared to her partner who was.

"Eh, I'm sure they'll show up eventually." Yang assured her younger sister while still reading her comics.

"Are you going to study at all Xiao Long?" Weiss then asked with a noticeable frown on her face. "You're aware that we have a test next week, right Yang?"

"I am." Yang confirmed. "But studying is not my thing, Ice queen." Yang waved off the white-haired girl as she could be heard sputtering in anger at that nickname.

"Mm… They have arrived." Blake hummed before looking at team JNPR walking towards them with Jaune leading the group.

"Hey guys!" Ruby called her friends only to realise that complex looks on their faces. Nora looked even more happier than usual and she keeps talking to Ren about a giant mech as well as hitting Grimm in the face? Ren looked calm as always. The same could not be said for Pyrrha who looked worried and confused about something. Jaune… well, he's ok, she guessed.

"Is something wrong?" Weiss bluntly asked as she stopped writing in her book.

"Yea, I think you guys need to see this." Jaune said as he pulled out his scroll before showing it to team RWBY. On the scroll it reads.

Argus attacked by Leviathan Grimms and an unknown saviour shows up.

The whole of team RWBY was shocked by this revelation. After all, just recently on the news, the Grimm were acting strangely as well as the fact that they were attacked by small packs of Grimm multiple times during their trip to the Emerald Forest which was unusual. But Leviathan Grimm?

"Leviathan Grimm?" Ruby spoke up in confusion.

"They are massive Grimm that once in a while attack Argus. To think two showed up… at Argus at once." Pyrrha looked genuinely terrified.

"Massive Grimm, how?" Yang then asked as Jaune spoke up.

"Pyrrha told us that she used to study at Sanctum Academy, which was located at Argus. And that her parents told her that usually one of those things would appear to attack her home city way before she was even born, but now with the Grimm acting crazy, that caused two of those things to attack the city."

"Then what about the unknown saviour?" Blake then raised an eyebrow as she asked.

"Well… I think it best we show you." Ren says before looking at Jaune who nervously nodded back. He then typed on his scroll again to play a video on it before showing it to team RWBY. What shows as a bird's eye view of two Leviathan Grimm making their way as a massive mech could be seen. To say the least, Ruby was ecstatic by it, but it was expected by everyone.

Another thing that everyone noticed was when someone could be seen flying directly towards one of the Grimm Leviathans at inhuman speeds as Nora could be seen grinning like a madwoman. The figure then hits the Leviathan right in the face after missiles from the massive mech had stunned it briefly, and much to Team RWBY's shock, the Leviathan head recoiled back with its faceplate completely shattered as it crashed onto the other massive Grimm, taking both down.

Boom!" Nora giggled out as she jumped slightly into the air. The rest of team RWBY were understandably surprised with their jaws open, not every day you see someone hitting a massive Grimm in the face so hard that it causes a shockwave on impact.

Ruby recovered from the shock first. "That was awesome!" Ruby yelled out as Yang agreed with her younger sister.

"Damn straight sis! It's like those superhero comics ya know? Comes in and punches the hell outta a monster."

"How is that possible? Just how strong is that person?" Weiss then asked JNPR with disbelief, how can such a person exist?

"We have no idea." Jaune answered back.

"All we know is that the authorities are currently looking for this individual as we speak." Ren then spoke next as he walked towards the empty seat nearby.

As everyone was talking about it, Blake seemed to stare at the footage as it shows the same individual vanishing into thin air. She could only wonder, who exactly is that? Is that a hunter or huntress with a spear? Then how did they fly towards the massive Grimm? If they have flight of sorts as their semblance, then it doesn't explain how that person seemed to vanish into thin air. No record so far has a record of a person with two semblances… Something is missing here…

"Blake. Are you there?" Blake's thoughts were interrupted when her partner called her.

"Huh? Yea, do you need something?"

"You've been staring at that screen for quite a while, cat got your tongue?" Yang then asked as everyone could be seen looking at Blake. Though she silently flinched when Yang made a cat joke.

"No nothing. Just trying to figure out this person is. Because there's no way someone can hit a Grimm that hard to cause a shockwave and also somehow vanish into thin air." Blake answered back as everyone kept quiet and began to think through it.

"That's what I find odd about that individual." Pyrrha admitted.

"Do you guys think there could be anyone else like them out there?" Ruby then innocently asked.

"I believe we shouldn't worry about this, since the authorities have it at hand." Weiss waved it off. "Besides, now that you're here, we can get to business, we got homework to clear." This got Ruby, Yang and Nora to groan as they all resumed what they needed to do.

Morgan.

Morgan sat on her throne, guarded by her Fae knights among hundreds of despicable courtiers all attending to her. Yet, they were all led by their respective clan leaders. Woodrose, Spriggan, Aurora, Muryan, Knocknarea, and Ainsel. Called by their Winter queen to her court for a very special meeting.

During that time before her calling, Morgan had experimented with various Dust gathered by one of her loyal servants, and the results proved interesting to her and her Fae knights. The Fae mages were tested upon by Tristan at her request, and the results were intriguing to say the least. If magical energies were to be poured into these crystals, it would activate with the corresponding elements which intrigued her massively. Red Dust releases fire, yellow Dust gives off electricity, light blue Dust gives ice, and pale green Dust creates wind from it. Yet those were the more common types of dust gathered by Danzou.

There were more exotic varieties of Dust such as Black Dust which affects gravity itself, cyan Dust that formed some sort of solid object made of light energy and the strangest one to her at least is dark orange Dust.

Which forms rocks. Somehow.

Or even green Dust that creates plants interestingly enough, it could be used both as a weapon to snare opponents as one poor Fae magician found out, or create crops for food to feed the humans.

It gets even more fascinating when Fae Tristan comes to her that some of these Dust can be combined to produce interesting effects like steam or even ice.

Nevertheless, Morgan has orders to give. And so, her cold eyes turned upon the rest of the court that awaited her with cold breath and a tinge of fear, since she had recently demanded a much higher existence tax than usual on everyone except for those who proved themselves to her. Oh, as well as commencing a purge on a village because their chief got a bit too… curious as to the portal's destination. Morgan has also been 'restricting' human shipments so that she could maintain a garrison at the portal.

"Let me make this clear to all of you, Britain is my property, and I will do anything to maintain it, am I clear?" Morgan asked as everyone bowed their heads towards her.

"We understand your majesty."

"We are but your loyal servants."

"We offer all of our time to you."

"We swear our undying loyalty to you."

"Very good. Backs against the wall." She demanded before adjusting her position. "I will not have the clan heads speak for today, for I am sure some of you have heard, or even taken part in it."

Murmurs of interest and/or confusion could be heard in the court itself before Morgan looked at Gawain and nodded at her. Gawain nodded back before she let out a single clap with her hands that silenced the entire room as the winter queen continued.

"The portal that links Britain to another world, I have sent servants to explore this new world and they have brought back some items that are worth more of my attention than most of you people here. However, to show its capabilities to all of you, I need someone to serve as a demonstration." Morgan stared at the court with her cold eyes.

"Tristan, if you please." Morgan waved her hand as the red headed girl let out a sadistic giggle. "Of course, mother…"

Tristan then began to walk across the courtroom as she landed her gaze upon every single individual all with a smile on her face. "Mmm… Nope. Not you. Too much hair… Too clean… Ah! How about you?" Tristan, while walking, begins to point fingers randomly in the court before it lands on a courtier from the King clan.

"Me?" The Fae courtier asked.

"Yes you. Now hurry up and stand in the middle of the court! You're wasting both mine and mother's time! And both of our times have merit compared to your existence. Or do you need some proper encouragement? Because I can do that too~." Tristan glared at the courtier before a sadistic smile appeared on her face. The courtier, understanding the threat within, got off his seat and stood in the middle of the court, so that everyone could see it clearly.

Morgan then looked at Lancelot who understood what her majesty wished for her to do and she walked off behind the throne room to pick up what obviously looked like a tray that had various coloured crystals on it. Lancelot returned before walking up to Tristan who had an excited grin on her face.

"Thank you, oh how so sweet of you Lancelot… But I think it's time for me to have some fun…" Tristan grinned got even larger though Lancelot remained expressionless. All the other Faes in the court now watched with interest as Tristan picked up one of the light blue crystals and walked to position. Though the poor courtier who was chosen began to feel incredibly nervous.

The crystal in Tristan's hand began to glow rapidly as she poured magic into it before throwing it at the poor courtier's feet without giving him time to react, all while cackling like a mad woman as the ice Dust detonated on his feet, covering him and a portion of the court itself in ice.

The silence that permeated the court broke off as mutters of interest could be heard within the court itself as Tristan could be seen picking up another crystal, except this one was red in colour. She then threw the crystal at the frozen courtier before firing a single magical bullet with her fingers.

BOOM!

A rather large explosion rang out within the courtroom itself as smoke blinded everyone from seeing what had just happened, that changed quickly when a gust of wind appeared out of nowhere and blew away the smoke leaving only what used to be the courtier behind as well as blood all over the place. Tristan could be seen holding a pale green crystal that was glowing like a flare in her hand.

Tristan then looked at Morgan who gave her a nod as well as a small smile on her face before turning back onto the rest of the court that now had given her their full attention. "As you can all see, that world possesses many secrets to uncover. But let me make myself clear." Morgan narrowed her eyes at everyone in the room as she stood up. "Every single thing gathered from that world will now be considered my property as well. Should any of you be caught with what's mine, I'll make not only you, but those in your clan pay the price. Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes, your majesty."

"We yield to your authority for it is only through your rule that we prosper."

"Very good. Now then, you may leave now. Your queen has business to attend to." Morgan then sat down as the clan heads and courtiers withdrew, leaving Morgan all alone with her knights. And a bloody mess of what used to be a Fae courtier. Morgan then held her hand up as magical energies swirled in her palm.

"Report."

"Master, a Servant has been found in Vale, working in a shop. He is not Saber, nor Ruler. I believe that there's another servant present here. What are your orders?" A monotone voice asked her master.

"For now, observe that Servant, and do keep an eye for Saber, for I was made aware by Rider that she's on her way there."

"Is there anything else I should be concerned about, master?"

"You will have help if any of those servants detect you. Rider will join you."

"Understood master." And with that, the message ended.

"Why did you tell those toys about Dust mother? Now they would plot and scheme against you like the ungrateful brats they are." Tristan then asked Morgan as Lancelot walked away to return the tray.

"They grow restless, my daughter. If we were to keep quiet, it would leak out eventually. But now their eyes would be on the new world, and so we can control them much better. After all, they do not know that the world that lies beyond has little to no magic, they would all die if they were to set foot in it. As one unruly Fae found out."

"Then what about us, your majesty?" Fae Gawain then turned and faced her queen. "Would we be able to go into the other world and not die from the lack of magic?" She asked as Tristan gave the large knight a death glare for speaking out suddenly.

"It is fine my daughter; her concerns are justified." Morgan reassured her knights. "We would be fine if we were to cross over to the other side, though, I've been working on a few necklaces that store an immense amount of magical energy should any of us need to use it. As of yet, it's currently in its testing phase."

"I see mother…" Tristan bowed to her mother.

Salem.

If Salem could be ever more furious than the last thousand years, she is now. After her regeneration, Salem awoke in what used to be her castle in the Land of Darkness which was now but just a crater with blue flames surrounding it. Even more shocking is that whoever casted that magic, it released what could be described as a magical pulse that unintentionally disrupted her connection to the Grimm, and because of that, she couldn't control them and it drove the Grimm into a state of hyper aggressive frenzy.

In fact, all the Grimm could be seen attacking each other around her and were actively attacking her! Salem had to use her magic to project telekinetic force that crushed any Grimm in the vicinity. She then assorted her grip on the Grimm and only successfully worked in the Land of Darkness. Those outside of the land were still in a frenzied state for now.

Salem could only growl angrily; it must be that damn woman that she saw through her Seer! It's because of this wild card that her plans were delayed for decades now! Though on the bright side, her agents were still active and away from the castle when it happened. No doubt it would take time to rebuild her castle to the state it was previously, perhaps there's a silver lining to it all…

But she still wants to lash out at that woman! She wants to launch a full-scale attack on that world! But eons of wisdom prevented her from making such rash decisions. It would be impossible to build up an army and attack that new world with her control of the Grimm disrupted.

Salem needs time.

And obviously it would be suicidal to fight that 'Winter queen' head on judging from that attack alone and her followers that reek of magical power. Perhaps she could get some help from the other side. But for now, she should hide and plan from the shadows, now there's a new wild card here. And besides, Salem knew that eventually, the people of Remnant would be alerted to this new wild card, and when that happens… She will wait for the opportunity to strike.

And she will make it painful for that Winter queen.

Ok! It's good to be back working on this story for the new year! So, how was it? Just some expositions as to what is going on over several people. Ok besides that I got some stuff I feel the need to address.

First of all, the Grimm suddenly goes berserk, we know that the Grimm are naturally attracted to the relics, as to why? I do not know but I have a theory related to magic. So, Salem getting magically nuked would no doubt cause a magical fallout. Since Salem can control Grimm directly, I went with the idea of Rhogomyniad acting like a nuke which also causes an EMP effect. Because of that and Salem getting magically blown up, she lost control of her Grimm and they were driven into an uncontrollable frenzy. As you can tell from everyone else, no one has an idea as to why it happens and theories popped up.

But those who know magic like Mordred, Jeanne and several others, will begin to suspect there's more to it and its relation to Rhogomyniad going off.

We next have the case in Argus and how some people reacted to it like Mordred and Team RWBY and JNPR. I want to expand on them and also give insight as to how Mordred was doing and how he/she had begun to feel a greater amount of Mordred's influence as more time had passed, as well as how the students were doing in Beacon. I wonder if I did it well enough.

Next is Morgan releasing information as to the world of Remnant and the idea of Dust to her court. Which at first, nearly scrapped it but I chose to expand upon it. Revealing more of Morgan's plans for her court and her intentions to use Remnant as a distraction and as a way to control them better, all while keeping key information away from them like how there's little to no magic in Remnant.

That's all I'll say for now, feel free to tell me in the reviews! And if you enjoy my content and wish to see more of it, Follow and Favourite me to keep in touch with this story! Also! I have a new story out that I don't mind you all take a look at it. It's called Unexpected Incarnate and I think some of you would enjoy it. (Shameless advertisement over here boys!)

And with that, I'll see your wonderful people next year with another chapter!

RGQC out!
