Heyo! RGQC back here with another Chapter for you lovely people out there! Sorry about the wait and stuff. I was too busy playing Warhammer and stuff, but we're back and this chapter should be interesting! Though, this chapter would be shorter than usual as real-life stuff and Warhammer III getting in the way.
I would like to announce that this story has now over 100 000 views and we are so close to 1k followers by like 2 more people! Holy hell guys! Thanks a lot for your support and stuff! Seeing this story rise up to its current state has been one hell of a journey for me as a writer! So once again, I wish to thank all of you for giving me your attention. It means a ton to me.
Next is the situation in Ukraine, while this is weeks late, I hope you all are doing ok. Especially my Ukrainian and Russian readers out there! We can only hope this war ends fast and not in a nuclear war or something. I have nothing else to say except that war is hell.
But now, we have comments to address, so let's get to it.
Triscythe59: oh whoops… uh, right. I'll rectify it now. The crown would only play a part of the story should Mordred or anyone relevant would end up in Vacuo. Until that happens, it's a maybe.
Guest: Who says she needs to be the one to kill her? As for Oberon- Vortigern roasting the shit out of the RWBY cast? I say pretty harsh indeed. I think it would depend on the person he's roasting.
Obsidian Nova Arc: Oh, you'll see more Mordred interacting with Team RWBY in the future. It will happen eventually with what I've planned.
Zet4: Glad to be of service!
Kolomte'49: Or Mordred calling him Satan or something along those lines.
5674785: Oh definitely! If you were to ask me, Oz's biggest flaw is his inability to give a straight answer to any question regarding the situation or his past if you were to ask me. He justified it to avoid being betrayed, leading him to engage in deflections, half-truths, lying by omission and pure deception. This as a result had alienated his allies like Ironwood who had grown frustrated at him. That's for me at least. If Mordred were to meet Oz, expect her to rip him a new one.
SkyChaser17: Welcome back Sky! Glad to see that despite her being cute occasionally, she's still the personification of dangerous cinnamon roll. Yea… pacing a bit slow due to no fighting and stuff, wanted to slow it down and not involve constant action. Then again, I believe that most of my viewers would want to see Mordred punch the shit outta everyone soonish.
Guest 2: I believe I've stated it in a previous chapter. No, Chaldea would not be in the story. It would be too much for everyone and a pain for me to manage so many characters.
Sherodx: Despite these comments, I'm glad you added this story into your alert list.
1302: Directly, maybe not. Indirectly yes.
MiharuTousaka: Was having too many POV's a problem in one chapter? Huh… Never knew it was. I'll think about it.
Warlord of Chaos: Interesting… I need to check it out. Of course, Sith would be hostile against Mordred at first until she realises that Mordred is Morgan's son. If that's the case. It would be a while before any actual interactions occur between them.
Revan Fan: Glad you enjoyed it!
JackRaiden23: Yes, it is true that Jeanne is bad at studying. But she has been on Remnant for months at this point. And our good old Vampire friend gave her the ability to read and write.
And we're done with all the reviews. Let's get this chapter on the roll!
Like with my other stories and this one, I do not own RWBY or any of the Fate series. All of them belong to their respective owners as such.
Chapter 13
Memories and Familiar Faces
Days passed ever since that news came in and nothing of interest had happened. Except for last night.
When I opened my eyes, I didn't find myself in my cabin, but in a room with a circular table in the middle? But then it hit me as I immediately realised where I am. I was by the famed Round Table And this is gonna suck as I knew what was going to happen.
Yet as I watched rays of the sun casting the room. Yet it wasn't the only thing that I felt in it, the room was. Tense. Tensed enough that you could feel it in the air itself. And for good reason as I turned my head to see myself looking startled. In fact, I could feel my own disbelief. Yet in front of us all was fath- no. In front of us was King Arthur, though for some reason I could not see his face as there's a shadow blocking his eyes.
"You won't recognize me as your son?" I heard myself speaking out with disbelief, all while staring directly at his king. I know what happened. That day replayed in my head endlessly. The day in which I've been rejected by my father huh… My breath heaved slightly and I heard myself speaking again.
"That is your answer, King of Knights?" My voice was clearly trembling. Yet, our king did not speak nor gave a reply to my answer. He just… turned his back on me and walked out of the room. Seeing it in the show was different compared to now… It hurts. I… Understand why Mordred lost his respect for his king. This scene alone. Yet I could feel myself losing control as I stood by.
"I was happy just being in your shadow," The sleep cycle me finally said something while looking down at the stone floor. I could feel the negative emotions flooding me. Hate, anger and… hurt. I could feel it building up like a dam that would soon break. I don't know how a child would react to being rejected by their parents. Guess I know now.
I watched as she spoke out. "Yet you never turned around to face me." Yet our king did not flinch, nor did he look back at all. He just kept walking forward. That proves to be the final straw as I watched as I flung her arms out violently to the side.
"King!" I heard her roar out. "Then I will…! I will destroy everything you represent!" she then declared, clenching his now-raised hands. "ARTHUR!" That was followed by a howl with tear-filled eyes as the king vanished from view. I can't take this anymore.
Without stopping I walked towards myself and grabbed my sleep cycle self in the shoulder. Yet nothing changed as I felt the darkness consumed me. The scene then changed to display one hell of a slaughter.
The hill which I found myself in was filled with bodies of countless knights as well as the stench of blood reeking in the air itself. It wasn't the only thing that was going on. Fires could be seen everywhere as the sound of combat attracted my attention. I could see myself deflecting a strike from a knight before piercing Clarent through his chest.
"Is King Arthur here?!" Sleep cycle me shouted in fury. "Show yourself, King of Knights!" Another knight then could be seen charging towards her, with his sword ready to swing at her. Unfortunately for him, with a single slice of Clarent, his arm was severed at the elbow, and the wounded knight stumbled and fell down the blood-soaked hill.
I could grimace at the brutality I've seen so far. So, this is war huh? Nothing but misery and death. Yet I could tell that the battle had been going on for like hours? Just how many lives have been lost in this kind of slaughter? It makes me shiver at how the two world wars of Earth have been like with more advanced weaponry.
I noticed Mordred leaning against her blade as I could hear her panting in exhaustion. She then scoffs before turning around to see the king of knights standing there with her own sword in hand.
Mordred pulled Clarent out of the ground and gestured toward her father with arms outstretched. "Well?" She asked viciously. "What now, King Arthur? This is the end of your kingdom!" Mordred adjusted her body into one of her ready stances, continuing her rant. "Face the consequences for not recognizing me as king!"
I could only feel pity. Perhaps how I was brought up but the idea of father and son slaying each other left a viciously bitter taste in my mouth. Yet I already know how it would end. There will be no winners in this fight.
Only losers.
Arthur is silent as she raises his sword, Excalibur, and holds it in a two-handed grip. Mordred then scoffs.
"Is it hate?" Mordred demanded. "Do you hate me? You hate me because I was born to a witch?" Still her father said nothing, Mordred then charged towards the one she had declared to be the 'Perfect King', Clarent glinting in the last rays of sunlight. "Answer me, Arthur!"
Arthur blocked Clarent with Excalibur. Even when they were fighting for hours, Mordred had great strength as Excalibur was knocked out of Arthur's hands. It was followed by the two of them leaping backwards. Mordred and I could only gaze towards the discarded Sword of Promised Victory.
I wonder how this story would have gone if father didn't remain silent. If he had just said something, just anything. How would this tragic story have turned out?
"I have never hated you," the King of Knights finally spoke. Mordred gasped softly and turned back. It was then that I noticed that father was wielding a lance? Right! That's Rhongomyniad!
"If you want to know why I didn't give you the throne…" father muttered out before he suddenly appeared in front of Mordred as he sent Rhongomyniad straight through Mordred's chest. A sickening sound of metal tearing through metal and then flesh rings throughout the battlefield as Arthur runs Mordred through with the lance
"Ah fuck." That was what I thought before a burning, stabbing sensation could be felt in my chest. I could only look down to see a hole the size of Rhongomyniad in my chest as blood could be seen pouring out of it.
If that wasn't bad enough, I was coughing out blood before collapsing onto my knees as seer agony permeated through my mind. This bloody hurts as hell! I wanted to scream or cry out! Just to do something to alleviate the agonising pain I'm feeling this instant!
"It was because you lacked the capacity to be king," Arthur finished rather coldly as Mordred's helmet cracked and exploded, blood spraying out of the fatal wound. A horrified expression was on her face as she coughed up blood, struggling to say her final words.
"Fa…ther…"
And with that I passed out from the pain. Or did I technically die? I honestly don't know.
Next thing that I know was when I woke up as I was staring at the ceiling. As well as the feeling of weight on my chest. Right, Fou could be seen in a fluff ball on my chest. With him still asleep, I had plenty of time to process what the hell that was. That was another sleep cycle. More accurately her death at the hands of father. I feel that I understood myself more in a way.
Turning my head right, I spotted a small cloth bag the size of my palm? I don't remember having one or using one to begin with? Where did that come from? My efforts to move my arm must have woken up Fou as his eyes opened up to see me looking at him. Fou could only chirp in response as I began to pet him while a small smile appeared on my face.
"Morning Fou. Did you sleep well?" I asked.
"Fou Fou!" Fou chirped as he crawled off the bed as I turned my attention to the small bag. Did someone leave it here? Or was it that Vampire again with his strange way of helping? With hesitation, I reached for the bag and grabbed it as Fou watched me with curiosity.
Opening the bag reveals… Crystal balls? Whatever those things are, they're the size of small marbles and it has a flame-like shine. "Are these embers from FGO?" I could only wonder internally as I took one out with my fingers and stared at it. Fou must have noticed my confusion as he appeared in my view before sniffing the marble.
"Did Zelretch really give me embers?" I could only wonder out loud before it hit me. "Wait. How am I supposed to use this?" I then gestured my hands at it while glancing at Fou who just stared at me. Thinking through it for God knows how long, I ended up putting it into my mouth and biting into it. Sure, it sounds like a terrible idea but, something tells me that I had to eat it to get stronger. Turns out they have no flavour in the slightest at all. I ended up chewing it like candy for like a minute or so, and much to my surprise, it actually worked!
I ended up feeling slightly powered up than before! But it feels so meniscal that I would have to eat buckets worth of that stuff for it to get anywhere. Nevertheless, today is the day in which I arrived in Vale. And that means that Fou has to hide in my bag again, and judging from the looks of his face, he's not a happy critter.
"Sorry little bud." I rubbed his ears as I got off the bed and walked to the windows to see the city in full view. I know that Vale was big but damn is the sight behold. As I watched the city from above, I could spot the various districts of the city itself, most of the Fang cells should be located in the industrial district. Perhaps once I've booked a hotel I could go there and begin hunting for Torchwick. If I could get a deal for him to lure me to Cinder…
I can crush her and put an end to one of Salem's main plots. That would spare the CCTs and the kingdoms from the fall of Beacon. Then again, Grimm has proven to be still in a state of frenzy so who the hell knows what would happen. And I need to be cautious of Ozpin, if he gets word of me, I'm in trouble and I would have people on my tail. Worst case scenario I would have to go silent like I had done in Mistral.
Oh right. I can't forget about any other servants that I may run into while in Vale. If a fight happens, let's hope it would be in the middle of the night and away from prying eyes. Perhaps the forest would be a better place to fight in if that's the case.
I could only shake that thought off, that's for another time, and I admit, I'm getting all bored and itchy finger here after staying in that sailboat for like a week. I think I need to let off some steam by going Grimm hunting or something. Yea, that doesn't sound that bad of a plan. Then again, the idea of going against an even more dangerous and frenzied Grimm seemed exciting to me.
Gods, Mordred made me a battle junkie.
As soon as I stepped out of the airport, I was immediately immersed in the city itself, in fact. There was a sense of nostalgia that I so happened to be experiencing, at first, I thought it was because of me seeing Vale already through the show, but then it hit me. Vale was heavily inspired by old European architecture in mind. Thus, I suppose it reminded the Mordred part of me of old Camelot. Either that or it's mostly due to seeing it in the show itself.
Damn that's like months back. How long have I been on Remnant already?
Nevertheless, it finally felt great to be on the ground once again as I sped through the streets of Vale with my mask on, of course it attracted some curious looks from passers-by as to why there's a blond girl wearing a metal mask on a motorbike. But they just move on with their business.
I was about to make a turn on the road when I got the same feeling that someone was watching me. I proceeded to pull over to the side of the road before facing the direction as to where I'd sensed someone watching me from, but I saw no one that looked suspicious nor anyone on the roof. Huh, strange…
I swore there must be someone watching me nearby.
Yet unknown to me because I can't see him at all, I'm being watched by another servant using illusion magic while on the rooftops. He proceeded to pull up a glass orb from his lab coat right before the face of the Winter queen makes an appearance.
"Master. Saber had just arrived in the city of Vale. I've also taken the opportunity to create some homunculi and have them blend into the society of Vale to serve as our eyes. With this, we can keep track of both Saber and an unknown servant that was detected not too long ago."
"Well done, Caster." Morgan congratulated her servant. "Keep a close eye on them. Avoid getting detected by both them and the local authorities. If so, you are to remain hidden until Rider arrives."
"It will be done master." He bowed as he kept the glass orb and continued his observations of Saber.
30 minutes later…
I then managed to find a hotel that was not too expensive and I began to settle down as I rested my bag on the chair as Fou came out of it all with a look of frustration on his face. He looks so cute!
Fou then used his hind legs to scratch his ears before he decided to leap over to where I am. Before he then proceeded to crawl onto my lap before looking at me straight into my eyes. Honesty, I wish I could understand him at all but I suppose I should tell him my plans since we're in Vale already.
"Dunno if you're curious or not, but we're here to find a certain criminal to… convince to help us." I explained as Fou just tilted his head at me. "Well, we need to find him because he knows my target and I intended to have him bring us to my target."
Fou just continued to stare at me before letting out a chirp before looking out the window. I should probably leave the hotel soon to gather some intel, the more information I can gather. The better I can use it to track Torchwick down. But before I could do anything or make plans, my scroll started to ring. Huh, who could be calling me? Fou just watched me as I took out my scroll to see that I was receiving calls from an unknown unknown. Who's calling me around this time?
Shrugging it off as nothing, I answered the call. "Hello, who's this?" But instead of hearing a man's voice which I usually get, I ended up hearing a woman's voice. And this one sounded familiar…
Hello? Is this Saber?" The female voice spoke with a question. Just who is this person? And how does she know who I am?
"Yes… this is Saber, but who are you and how did you get this number?" I then confirmed followed by asking cautiously.
"Ah, I got this number from a friend of yours, he's name is Sun? As for who I am, my name is Ruler and I remember seeing you on television a month ago. And I've been trying to reach you since then." Ruler? Hol up what?! Wait, which Ruler? I need to know more.
"Ruler? I do not know who you are but we're sharing screen now." I replied instantly before pressing the camera button on my scroll. As soon as I pressed it, the scroll showed a young blond woman that I never thought I would see again. What the hell is Jeanne doing here? And she has been looking for me ever since?
"Ruler… How the hell are you here?" I could only express my shock as Sun walked into view.
"Hey Saber, it's been a while huh? This woman here has been looking around for you or for any information as to how to contact you. It just so happens that she met me and asked some stuff related to you. And I obliged by giving her your scroll number since clearly she knows you."
I could only sigh out in response. I can't believe Sun of all people just gave Ruler my scroll number, like what the hell man. Then again, seeing Ruler again makes me feel weird, was it nervousness?
"Right…" I could only give a deadpan stare at Sun who started to get uncomfortable at me staring at him. I then turned my attention back to Ruler. "Besides that, Ruler, you've been looking for me for quite a while, am I correct? Also, looking familiar there huh?" I gave a smirk as Ruler replied back.
"I could say the same to you." the Ruler pointed out as I could only shrug in response.
"Well don't know about you ladies but my job is done here. I'll take my leave now." Sun walked off before he suddenly appeared again, which hilariously enough, startled Ruler much to my amusement as I snickered softly. "Oh yeah Saber!" Sun called out. "Tomorrow I will be heading off to Vale earlier than my team because Sage recommends that I go there earlier to spy on the other team. So, we can hang out again once I get there!"
"Really, is that so? I think it's best if you leave… Me and Ruler here need to have our… talk." Ruler seemed to agree with me as I could see her nodding in response.
"Fair enough, see you in a week's time, Saber." And with that, Sun walked off.
"Saber of Red." Ruler turned her eyes back at me.
"Ruler." I asked as she nodded. "How long have you been looking for me?"
"For quite a while I must say. Where are you right now? I can tell that you're in a bedroom." Ruler questioned as I turned my gaze on Fou who was silent the whole time before looking back at my scroll.
"I'm currently in the city of Vale in the continent of Sanus. I just arrived today earlier." I explained as Ruler gave a quizzed look at me as if she's trying to piece me together.
"Why are you over there?" I could tell that Ruler is asking a genuine question but can I trust her? Who's to say that she's not with Danzo?
"Personal reasons, and I want to explore it since there's a festival gonna happen here. If you wish to see me personally, come to Vale. I'll be waiting for you if that's the case. Also, I don't like the idea that you're speaking to me so openly. We'll talk more later." Ruler just stared at me for about a minute before she relented.
"Very well, Saber. See you soon." And with that, she ended the video call. This is just too much for me. The hell is Jeanne here? And by the fact that she called me Saber of Red means that this Jeanne was from Apocrypha. How the hell am I supposed to explain to her that I'm Mordred yet not Mordred? Yet seeing her again made me wonder, are there any more rogue servants like me and Ruler? How does that work anyways?
Knowing my luck, I would probably encounter another servant in Vale…
This shit's annoying. Ok besides that, Sun basically gave me enough info that I have at least a week before Blake decides to run away from her team because her identity as a Faunus was discovered. Kind of stupid and cowardly of her if you were to ask me. But I'm not her so perhaps that's how she ticks.
I could only rest my hands on my head. This is a whole lot to take in, but I suppose that I have some time before Ruler shows up. But I have to wonder, was she the one who defended Argus? I'll have to ask her later after my mission. At the same time, I could only turn my head to Fou who was clearly getting concerned about me.
"It's ok little bud. I just need time to soak up what has just happened." Jeanne is here… This is absurd yet I could only feel glad that she's here for some reason. Was it because she's a familiar face? This is too much for me… Don't get me started that she sounded way like her dub version! Yea! Fucking hate me all you like!
Jeanne ended her call with Saber of red as she looked up from her scroll. She finally managed to get into contact with Saber, who so happens to have left Mistral and was in Vale for reasons kept from her. It had been a day or so since Jeanne arrived at Mistral and she's been asking people whether they saw her.
It just so happens that she met Sun Wukong, who was a blond monkey Faunus that came into contact with Saber. And from the way he speaks about her, Sun really respects her and it surprised Jeanne that Saber offered Sun some advice which was strange indeed. She remembered that during her time back in Romania, Saber was more… Selfish and arrogant. Jeanne can never forget when Saber basically exhorted her for Command Seals while dealing with Caster of Black's golem that threatens all life.
Yet this Saber was willing to help him out of the goodness of her heart and became friends with him and his team. Which was both different from what Jeanne expected from what Sun had said about her, Saber seemed to have mellowed down? Was that the correct word to describe her? All Jeanne knew now was that Saber was now in Vale and she had to get to her if she wanted answers, or she could call her later.
Probably the latter.
But unknown to Jeanne as she walked off to make a booking to Vale, Ironwood was listening in on the conversation as he glanced at Winter who was always beside him. Winter just nodded back at her general as he then pressed the button that shows off their target's face. A young-looking girl that was probably the age of 15 that had blond hair as well as green eyes that shine.
"You must be the one who could be the one who fought Raven and mortally wounded her. To think you looked so young." Ironwood could only mutter to himself as he pressed several buttons on the console, seconds passed before Ozpin appeared before him in the call.
"General Ironwood, what calls you here?" Ozpin curiously asked as he took a sip of his hot coco.
"Ozpin, just recently Ruler, with an assistant of a student from Haven had been in contact with what I can assume is who we're looking for."
"Do tell?" Ozpin raised an eyebrow.
"You'll need to see this." Ironwood proceeded to send the recorded call directly to Ozpin, who began to watch through the replay as Ironwood continued. "This individual who identifies herself as Saber is currently in Vale. During that time, I've also come to believe that Saber, Ruler and others we've talked about a while ago are not human. While I'll normally encourage you to arrest Saber since she'd just arrived in Vale, the fact that a spring maiden powered Raven couldn't defeat what I could assume is her speaks volumes at how dangerous she is.
Ozpin could only give his friend a quizzed look. Never in his life had he seen Ironwood act so cautious. Most of the time, Ironwood was known for his aggressiveness to resolve a problem. The fact that Ironwood here was advising caution told Ozpin everything. Saber, while here in Vale, was not to be underestimated. Then there's the fact that Ruler clearly states in the recording that she has intention to meet up with Saber sooner than later and they both would talk again later.
"I hate to admit it, but I think it's best to observe Saber for now, I got her scroll details with me as well. Use it well Oz, if they proved hostile to everyone or jeopardise the Vytal Festival coming up, I will step in. Till then Ozpin, read through my report. We're clearly dealing with someone who looks human, but clearly isn't. From what I've managed to gather."
"That is all." And with that, Ironwood ended the call as he turned his eyes to Winter.
"I honestly hope I'm not making a mistake by observing 'Saber' instead of seeing her arrest."
"I believe in your judgement sir, since we're basing it on Ruler's… strengths. If Saber is as strong as her or perhaps even stronger than her, it would be unwise to get into a fight in the city itself. However, if we do step in, I will do it with no hesitation sir."
Ironwood nodded before and could only wonder what would happen next. It's all in Ozpin's hands now. He could only hope that his friend makes the right choice with this unknown problem.
Some time has passed and it was where the shatter moon shines. I was in my 'combat' outfit alongside my metal mask with my gear, I was also exploring the industrial district with the help of my scroll which happened to possess a GPS app as well. Nice.
More accurately I was doing a bit of parkour on the roof tops while also watching out for White Fang and other servants that could be nearby. I could say that I wasn't expecting much for tonight as I'd arrived at Vale and stuff. Though that proved to be instantly wrong when I found a White Fang patrol group and began to tail them.
Good thing I've gotten soundless boots from Sunny when I got this outfit. I wonder how she's doing right now? Hopefully much better than before but I can't be so sure since I'm not there. Nevertheless, tailing them was rather tense as one wrong move and they would instantly know. Good thing that I was able to remain quiet as I tracked them back into a warehouse.
"Hey." I paused slightly as one of the White Fang grunts wanted to ask something. Something of interest? It reminded me a hell lot of those kinds of games in which grunts would have dialogues. Of course, in this case, they're real people with families and such. Since this is the case, killing them is out of the picture unless I have a really good justification to do it.
"You know we're supposed to be patrolling right?" The other patrol White Fang grunt responded.
"Really? But, have you heard that one of our cells in the Agricultural districts was raided by someone in red?" Someone in red? That… doesn't explain much except for the cells in that district. Perhaps when I get the chance, I could have a look over there.
His buddy let out a sigh. "Why you of all people would fall for that. Boss told us that it was just rumours and that they were ambushed by cops." He shook his head, though his partner wasn't that convinced.
"I don't think so. I think the boss is hiding something from everyone." The first guy wondered as the second grunt gave a glare at him before his scroll beeped as he took it out to read the contents.
"Ah shit, we got company at our base! Follow me now!" His tone now became serious as he and his patrol partner ran off to what I can only assume was their hideout in the warehouse. But as I continued following them, the sound of combat and gunfire could be heard. I had to admit, hearing the sound of combat kind of reignited a spark of combat as a sly smile formed on my face. That changed to confusion very quickly as I sensed another servant in there!
The hell?
Ok I must have jinxed myself with this earlier, or it's because of my luck. Either way I sped through the roofs before leaping right through a window into the warehouse. I'll admit, it wasn't the greatest of ideas ever but I was wearing long clothes so I guess it's fine. Before I landed on the ground, I ended up doing a roll as I proceeded to land back on my feet to see everyone staring at me with shock. But they were not the only one shocked.
I was too when my gaze landed on a tanned man with white hair. He wore black body armour which consisted of a black tight and sleeveless shirt with silver accents, and black pants that had two black straps on his thighs, and another two strapped around his shins separate from each other. He also wears black metal plated shoes, which appear to be attached to his trousers as well as his signature red coat.
In his hands were two swords that consisted of both black and white and one was inverted of the other. A hell lot like the idea of Yin and Yang.
Archer… More specifically. That's EMIYA here! I would question that more if it wasn't for his face alone. He was surprised by my presence though, I guess it's more to do with me being a servant or something along those lines.
A grin appeared on my face beneath my mask, I've waited long enough for a chance to fight again…
"It seems that the party started without me! Care if I join in?" I rhetorically asked everyone in the warehouse before unsheathing my sword before charging at what I guessed is one of the more experienced White Fang members. That immediately caused hell to resume as the sound of gunfire and sword clashing.
Archer must have noticed this as he immediately went back to fighting. Yet I could feel his eyes at the back of my head as we fought. Both of us were taking on 15 to one and we were winning. The fact that very little of them actually had aura made me have to watch how hard I'm hitting them out of fear of outright killing them. Ironic I must say.
Archer and I were doing well together. I noticed him slicing their weapons into two with his sword as I disarmed them or occasionally did what he did and split their guns into two. At one point during the fight, Archer and I had our backs against each other surrounded as more Fang members arrived, with a few could be seen pulling their injured or unconscious out of the fighting zone.
"Psss." I shook my head in an attempt to get Archer's attention as I could feel him looking back at me.
"Who are you?" Emiya asked as I rolled my eyes. Are you seriously asking who I am now? Whatever. Tell ya later.
"Ask for my identity later. For now, let's switch places." I replied back as I felt a nod coming from Archer as we both dashed in the opposite directions. More gunfire rang out as both Archer and I began deflecting every single shot as sparks could be seen as well. I'm so glad for Servant senses and thanks to it, I can pull off shit I've seen in anime!
"How are they doing this?!" I heard one of the grunts yelling out in utter confusion.
"Don't know! Don't care! Just keep firing! They can't keep it- OOF!" What I could guess was one of the higher-ranking Fang members tried to encourage everyone else, though I interrupted him when I appeared in front of him and sent an knee strike to the gut.
Within less than 5 minutes of kicking everyone's butt, the whole warehouse was secured with unconscious bodies of White Fang members all over the place with me and Archer in the middle of it all.
Sheathing my sword away, I turned to face Archer who was already on guard against me judging by the fact that he still hasn't dissipated his weapons. Right, that guy was not known for trusting people. Now how to get his trust… Oh! I know.
"Judging by how you're behaving right now. You still don't trust me huh?" Why did I say that? What was I thinking?
"I see that your eyes are working." Archer deadpanned as I felt a twitch on my eye. Right…
"I see…" I rolled my eyes in response. Forgot he's a snarky bastard sometimes. "Perhaps I should introduce myself." I said that cordially before I reached for my mask on my face and pulled it off. Emiya must have been shocked or something, his eyes widened for a few seconds before it returned back to a guarded look.
"You may call me Saber for now, I'm a servant like you." I folded my arms with a raised eyebrow. "As for why I'm here… I have my own reasons." I explained as Archer just stared at me for a minute or two before the sound of the police sirens could be heard.
Turning my head towards where the sound was coming from and back to Archer, I voiced my thoughts. "Dunno about you, but we leave now and have our conversation another time." Archer just nodded at me as I put on my mask again and much to my surprise, Archer just went into spirit mode! I can't even do that thanks to me being part human!
Though I can sense him leaving the vicinity rather quickly, I should do so as well. And with that, I leapt towards the same window I entered in from again, before leaping towards the nearby roofs and running off as the sirens got softer the farther I went.
Ok. In just one day, I've met two familiar faces that I never thought I would see, Jeanne and Emiya. I'm not sure whether fate is trying to tell me something but I hope gosh to hell that both of them are not under Danzou's master. Because that would be bad and I would be fucked. Either that, or they're just like me.
Without looking back, I headed straight for my hotel room only to see Fou sitting on my bed while watching the television. Right, I left it on for him because I didn't want Fou to get bored waiting for me. Turns out, it was related to earlier. Huh, I suppose they sometimes work fast. Long story short, all the White Fang that did not manage to escape were captured and taken into custody by the police. There's also them mentioning about the unknown assailants that took them down. Basically me and Archer. Never thought I would see him at all here.
Then again, the presence of Servants on Remnant basically fucked the power balance of the world. If word gets out that we exist, that might cause a political and social upheaval which would be an understatement. I think only Salem could beat us since she can't die and stuff.
Resting on the bed, I realised something that I never did earlier. I've forgotten to look for information as to where Torchwick was since he's working with them.
"DAMMIT!"
You know what! I'll handle that tomorrow. Perhaps I could find where Emiya works or his base. "If he's anything like he was in one of the Fate animes, I should be able to find him in a cafe shop or something." I thought to myself as I rested my head against a pillow and pulled out my scroll, I should really contact Ruler and get more information from her. I need to know if she's a servant of whoever master Danzo serves. That was what I was thinking of.
But in a hospital not too far away… Raven could be seen resting in the bed as Glynda was once again beside her. It has been a while since Raven was admitted into the hospital before she was pronounced comatose. That was weeks ago, but that changed tonight.
When her eyes opened once again.
And we are done with this chapter which is much shorter than usual with my new work schedule and other stuff in my life getting in a way. But I'll try and get it back up to speed with the next chapter as soon as I can!
Next, I want to address Mordred's interaction with Jeanne and Emiya. Things are going to get more complicated with the both of them now aware of Mordred as well as Jeanne soon going to head to Vale. And then Mordred has a week to plan before she can capture/kidnap Torchwick for interrogation. How long would it be before both these servants realise that this Mordred is different…
I have intentions to make sure that there will be interactions between team RWBY and Mordred in the next chapters or so. More potential drama would be made if I pulled it off! Oh! And Raven's back now once again. Things are going to get spicy.
I hope.
