The Mighty Ducks Re-Imagined I: The Mighty Ducks
Warnings: With this story and trilogy it's going to have Orion running things in the team, though Gordon is head coach at the current moment right now. As he leaves Orion in charge of the team till he gets back, before the Goodwilk Games. And then their time at the academy as the team is completely under his control, while the academy is going to be a facade till the showdown, starting now here.
With this chapter, the decision to remove Karp and Peter from the team is considered. As his opinion over their calling him and Fulton a traitor is shot down. And as Charlie makes it clear in his opinion, before Adam comes into the picture next. This is going to be a re-imagining of the Mighty Ducks trilogy as Charlie meets Orion at the age of 10, as their lives are fused together.
As they prepare for what their future brings now, and as Charlie learns the truth. And this soon, that Orion is his real father and he has a life outside of the team. This is also going to leave out the tv show, with it newly created and focused on only the movies now, so an alternate reality story.

Chapter 9: Team Meetings and Unexpected Decisions VIII
But to them, he and the team were home, he was coming home to him, as his son said it sternly. "Never crossed your mind guys, well the sextet and I spent all our lives as a gang, a pack, so separate from the gang, it's beyond lonely. Just say my counterpart's girlfriend spent all her life in a pack, and the last. And of her childhood friends still there, is my counterpart's alpha's third, that your friends, your gang, or in our case, team."
"Are your family, that no need to think twice now, you had enough flying solo, it's time to return home to the team and the leader of our flock." he said and they swallowed hard at that as Orion nodded to the remark in agreement. "This is why we're getting our bond into place this soon with him, so we can manage when his father takes over. But he and the team, our parents know we're faking it, but you right now, that's for real now."
"We don't care what you say, home is the team and his father now." Fulton said sternly and Charlie said it. "He's the future leader of the team, our flock now, but in the mean time, he's the back up leader to the flock now here. Making an adjustment right now, just say coach is considering taking the try out with the minors. Dad takes over and we adjusted now to his training over the year the coach was gone, in truth here now."
"As he'd gotten us ready for the season right now and we become so good at defense mode that no one can get a shot passed us now. That the Hawks, their older brothers are in shock as are they themselves as we block each shot. But make shot after shot on them as for dad's paternal tone in this, we didn't mind that tone in his voice. Just being the father figure, he watched them grow up, he and I are beyond close, we don't mind."
"As we heard this tone all the time from him as we get adjusted years prior to his taking over now. And that would be if we never realized it then, he is my father, knowing this young, I got the easy way now in truth. But sure his personality is like Patrick when he played the narrator's big brother, I don't mind that. That just says he cares, and because he does, he's pushing us, so we become the best, as perfection means survival here."
"And that's being a soldier in this case, these scholarships only last as long as said college renews them. But the SAT's right now, we score off the charts that's our ticket to any college in the country right now. Which explains his rule on grades, it's B's or better to play, you start failing classes here right now. And you're benched, stay clean or you're benched, keeping to a clean training environment, but I notice in truth here now."
"You don't have a problem with their parents, but the second you meet my father, you hate him instantly and start making implications on my mother. Just what is that supposed to tell them Peter, but that I am your rival here. You hate me and therefore you hate my parents here." he said and they went white in shock at that accusation. "You guys are a real piece of work, or is it because she's about to start dating an ex Hawk."
"They're both ex hawks, I'm an ex hawk born?" he asked and they broke out in a sweat, realizing what he was implying as their parents crossed their arms. "That's what it is?" Karp's father sternly and they swallowed hard at that his inclination. "They were eavesdropping on Coach's conversation with Reilly at the time. So the inclination is not only am I traitor, for siding with your age group as our parents right now in truth."
"But I'm a Hawk sympathizer." he said and Orion nodded sternly. "Dead duckling walking." Hall said warningly and he paled further at that. "Well I see no reason to even consider why shouldn't I just throw you off the team right now. And be done with it, I mean you already consider me a traitor, why not we throw you off the team now. As you got three ex hawks and an ex hawk born on this team, so prejudice now here."
"If you're going to discriminate things in if you're refusing to allow ex other team members, and doesn't matter who the team is, on the team..." he said and Orion crossed his arms at that remark. "I will not allow this prejudice on the team and it doesn't matter who the player of the ex team used to be!" Gordon snapped sternly and they both went white at that and Orion nodded sternly in agreement to his opinion then.
"Remember the season 4 episode after Cuba was arrested in a hate crime, before his mentor was killed and the reason the accuser did it was because of his skin color?" he asked and they broke out in a sweat at that remark then. "The way I see it is that you hate him or us, because we used to be Hawks, which is the same thing. But the hate has got to stop somewhere, it has got to stop!" he said with a stern growl at the duo then.
"And it all starts here right now in truth, you think his remark of me being like Rick as said coach was an exaggeration, well no it's not. I agree with him completely right now in all truth here at the moment now, if this catch. And of calling them traitors is the same as this character after killing Rick's best friend in that episode. Then I see no reason to even let you stay on this team as we remove all prejudice from this team altogether."
"So that's the problem boys, we're ex hawks, to you she's..., well not going to say it. But watch your mouth young man or so help me in truth, boys, you're doing laps. And around that rink at the school for a month and in detention for 4." Orion said and they swallowed hard. "Yeah guys you made your point, but don't push it, because we get a call saying you been put in detention because of this, you're done." Marks said sternly and he paled.
"But you hate my father, is that it, you hate authority and he's 2 in one and you're sick of his always being on your cases right now here?" Charlie asked sternly and they paled and Orion crossed his arms. "Anyone else thinking this right now, we give his training a shot and then combine both together?" he asked and the 9 all nodded gently. "Yeah agreed, we're just starting out and then, if the coach goes out of town for a try out now."
"And with the minors we spent a year to 18 months under your father and we don't mind, we hear that tone in his voice all the time." Fulton said to him and the 8 nodded in agreement to his thoughts. "Yeah, but we don't mind, we spent a year under your father, and we love him like a father, that we're beyond used to it. In his training methods now, that to us it's so much easier to conform now, then it would be at 14 as the new JV."
"Before our sum number is now getting used to his training methods, but case in point, you're the one acting like the captain, before we have a test of leadership. Now that year right now as a result, but you just proved, 'C' or not, you just proved it. That you're the true captain of the team by actually looking into this, calling a team/family meeting. And now choosing our future coach, before he gets our scholarships arranged right now."
"So you got to us, before he got us in trouble, so next idea for the rest of the month?" Connie asked and he nodded. "The schedule just got fixed here right now, so with your parents possibly working from 8:30 to 7:30. We're on a schedule now, this schedule has us off the street and under the duo and Jenkins supervision right now. So that fits the schedule, leading into when we start at the academy, but in between seasons now here."
"Dad's training us during the summer, before the last season in the peewees." he said and they and Orion nodded. "Meaning that when the boys are in their last year with me, I pass them off early to Wilson and you're under my coaching after that. As I get you prepared for the starter season, before whatever gig we got that summer. As that is your last year with Gordon and I take over right now." he said and Charlie nodded to him.
"Yeah exactly, they're 16, we just hit 12, borderline 13, and you're preparing to take over permanently as we meet the said sum number now. And that's it, so the said number and the 8 of us, including Adam, are now officially your version right now. The team is complete now, as we do this in advance right now before the scholarships. Now get offered and then comes the curren JV, turned Varsity meeting us as their new enemies."
"So till then, we get the schedule fixed so you can train us." he said and Orion nodded as the duo paled at that remark. "You're not serious, right now, why get the schedule fixed?" Karp said in shock and she crossed her arms then. "It's because this way we're out of trouble, but where do you think their minds are heading here. When they got a cop car showing up outside of the apartment building, and with you in the car now."
"Or worse, they come to report something in whatever stunt you pulled and it's enough to have them beyond ticked off." he said and Orion nodded sternly in agreement to his thoughts then. "Coach just reported in, the man you did that to, turned you guys in, he never saw it. That's my or Averman's faces, he saw you and then gave your descriptions right now." he said and they went white in shock and fear and he nodded sternly then.
"So to insure you don't get in enough trouble to put you behind bars right now, I am insuring our parents know where we are at all times." he said and then held up the report then. "Just consider if anyone else was on the block, to everyone in town, you're as out of your minds. Now, as Culkin is and was in that movie, you guys are Culkin, Averman and I are Noah, so what do we have to do, but get the schedule fixed here right now."
"Doesn't matter what you say, I am the captain, so the team as cub leader of this team, I am in charge, and the duo and our parents need a schedule change." he said sternly and they paled at that. "To them, they would rather you under parental and adult supervision then let you be out there unsupervised starting now. Well the 5 of us have had it here, you go down, you're not taking us with you." he said for the quintet then in finality.
"Charlie what is this exactly, what, just because your father is a coach, you get to make choices on us?!" Peter said in shock then in anger. "Ahh, cool it young man, you're in enough trouble already right now, Charlie's being a responsible captain. He knows what we're thinking, but seems that if your own parents can't control you. Then clearly I can, but if you're afraid of me, that just works in my favor, to you in truth now here."
"That's I'm clearly your worst nightmare when I'm this strict with you guys, while the others don't mind, but that practice schedule is non negotiable." Orion said sternly and Charlie nodded in agreement. "You're not our coach!" Peter snapped and he looked at him sternly then. "Yes, I am not your head coach, not yet, but I am the father of your team mate young man. So watch your mouth right now, as you're in serious trouble and did you forget here now."
"In just who the heck you're talking to, because Adam's partner is Hank, I am formerly related to the officer that has to keep dealing with you and David?" he said and they both paled then and he nodded sternly. "Your team mate hears this tone all the time in my voice that he knows this, do not start talking back to me. But he doesn't mind that tone, just means father to him and that's what he wants most right now, his father back."
"Well he just did and he can be like every other cub on the team right now, but his mother and me matter most to him, so enough, our relationship is not your business." he said and they started shaking. "Then again, clearly none of us ever minded right now, you're slightly strict, we're cubs, you're papa bear." Connie said and he smiled gently at the title and Jesse hid a smile at the response then gently and Gordon hid a chuckle.
"Yeah you know me better then anyone, but then if I was another profession, I'm like John and being a clear soldier here. And you're my cub troops before you get into the academy for real, but this is what being a coach is. Like leading your troops, instead of meeting 4 years from now, you met me today right now. That you're used to that tone in my voice in the case of training." he said to her and she nodded smiling gently then.
"More then our coach and mentor, you're our parents' best friend, meeting at this age, we know what to expect, before we get to work as the JV team." she said and he nodded gently to her as he looked her. 'Yeah if my baby girl had another 5 years added to her, Connie is what my baby would be as a preteen now.' he thought hiding a smile. "And one dangerous side effect if there was something that came up in the brawl between you."
"And tell me immediately if these guys start messing with you, I mean it baby, though a hockey player, still a preteen to teenage girl at that age." he said to her and she nodded. "Like I said, papa bear just made his claim on us, but you pal, start getting suggestive. And we'll kill you ourselves, before we let her finish the job, if she had a double. But she's got a lot of brothers on this team and we get overly protective." Charlie said, crossing his arms and he nodded.
"Yeah before I do the rest as the paternal coach, after breaking up the fight, but the reaction between her and whoever it is, is getting Riley. Now, if he was the one that did it, a reaction most players never see in their coaches. And in whatever sport, if you're a high school student." he said and they both nodded sternly. "Wasn't there a rule of teachers not getting physical with their students?" Jesse said and he nodded gently then.
"Yeah, but as the whatever coach, we, at times, got to get physical as we're the ones responsible for you. Being your coach, in order to control you guys at times here, for the kids like Marks and Karp, but that was Carter. And he's not my personality, in which case right now, you guys knew me longer and don't mind my version. In training, but clearly if they do, they don't want the extra training, but like any cadet or trainee here now."
"You got said cub officers either hating them or seeing them as a second parent, and with the 10 of you, it's the second, though they see me as a drill instructor here." he said and the 10 nodded to the remark. "Yeah just imagine that part in that book that Heinlein made after doing The Puppetmasters and to quote his peers. They're the cadet that got his arm broken in the face off, but improper attitude pal, they kick you out of here."
"For talking like that." she said and Goldberg nodded. "Yeah, there you go down washout lane." he said and Averman nodded. "Yeah, either you got what it takes or you don't." he said and the duo swallowed hard at that remark. "You boneheads, just who are you kidding right now, you just tangled with a skilled soldier turned drill sergeant. If you never wanted that broken arm or humiliation, you should consider in all truth now."
"Not biting more off than you can chew here." Charlie said and he chuckled and nodded in agreement to that. "To put this bluntly, is that when you're trained to kill here, you learn to stop feeling that pain and than use it. Which is what Krueger realized as a young adult, but for this right now, and you guys knew never to lose your tempers. That for an act like you destroying your hockey stick after the latest goal, it's not the tie game here."
"That I was furious at now, but that reaction you gave off right now, but that said it clearly, but who are you kidding boys huh, if he's pretending to be you now. Young man, just what do you expect my reaction to be after you guys jinxed us here. And they throw everything they have at us right now, huh what exactly, as you cost us a severe lead here. But this goes into what I keep saying as no lead is safe if you can't play defense here now."
"But if I know my son's thinking strategies with my current set watching the games right now, it's making them think you're very good in the offense. But not that good at the defense and we use that against them later right now in truth. All part of the facade later on, as he's pretending to be you, till the board tries to revoke the scholarships. But that's him, but you, you nearly cost us the game as you're jealous here right now in truth."
"That they rally behind Charlie now so quickly, but if he's still hearing your voices when he chokes, just what is that supposed to tell me. But you did enough damage the only thing he's afraid of is to let me down right now, so in my eyes. Remove the problem and he gets better and better right now in truth, a very good captain. And without help, can't take the weight of leadership and crumbles at times, but start this young now in truth."
"In learning my training right now here saves a total embarassment and blow to the ego in the first game of the season later on." he said and they swallowed hard at his opinion. "Your peers don't mind, they learn this young and can conform to it this young now in truth as they use what I taught you guys at the moment here. That keep the pressure on and be ready for the anger to have these guys start choking at the moment here."
"In which case like he said, he's a cub me that I know my son's thinking strategies if I was your age and use that against them." he said and their parents hid a smile then. "And you thought you had it bad right now in all truth at the moment with being our so called new coach, as the look you shot me. And after said brawl comes to an end right now is enough to say it right now, just what caused this exactly right now guys, huh."
"And when we know this right now, and as if the annoyance of our coach is not enough, now it's the irritation of a father dealing with his cub, and his adopted cubs." Charlie said and he nodded gently to that remark. "Yeah no kidding, keeping you separated from my current JV set is a big problem, but if they're trying to push me here. And they're pressing my patience just a little too far here." he said and the rest of the team nodded.
"Case point, being under Coach for 4 years, it's hard to switch off what we were taught, to switching to a new coach right now. Their style in training, but when you met said new coach this soon, it makes it a lot easier, we can conform faster. Right now then switching coaches, as we use what he taught us, mix it with the coach's training. And pull it off, but if we got the Varsity watching, I'm faking said personality change right now in truth."
"So my attitude change, the reaction with my stick, who does this remind of if he stayed on the team till we made the academy?" he asked and the quintet looked at Peter, who paled and Orion nodded sternly and Charlie nodded. "Then again our doubles are whatever age, playing a group of 14 to 15 years olds and your's now. Wants a more grown up role then playing a teenage hockey player." Guy said and he nodded gently.
"Yeah that and acting like a normal teenager with his father, without realizing said new coach is using the paternal tone on him way too much right now. In which this time, it's dealing with the fact I reached my limit with these guys. But Jesse is still out of town, Adam is still behind enemy lines and our missing sum number chose not to come. So we're reduced to 11, till we pull the plug and get all of you back at once right now."
"As we reveal our missing number now finally here." he said and the quintet nodded gently. "Yeah and how many times have we got that one since we never realized we walked right into each other, but you're as stubborn as I am." Orion said and Hall hid a laugh at that remark gently. "Issues right now, but it's case of when we hear the paternal tone come into your voice we know we're in trouble." Charlie said and he nodded to that.
"Yeah, dad don't worry, we'll be fine with him being the assistant coach and 2 years before our next championship." Terry said and he nodded as Tammy covered her eyes as she tried to keep from laughing at his remark then. "Issues in the border-line 31 year old coach, you parent us the way you do your own if you're a parent in your own right. So the surrogate, or in his case real, you parent us the way you do him and Karen."
"Now in training." Averman said and he nodded gently. "And just trying to put the brakes on fast enough has you skidding right into the wall. And after a pop quiz comes up in the middle of the practice right now, as you made a mistake. And in clearing out the shot if it ended up behind the goal." he said and they nodded as she smiled. "You spent 3 years in training that now as you grow in skill right now, the rules start shifting into the pros."
"As you get older that the one I asked you right now was part of the high school/college hockey league training, as the stunts you pulled were considered fine. When in the peewees right now, but inside the school system is the same as the pros now." he said and the team nodded. "Get us prepared early, but if you don't want him riding your tails constantly just leave right now." Charlie said sternly and the duo swallowed hard then.
"The way he is is how he needs to be with preppie hockey players like the Hawks, you don't like it, I suggest you leave now." he said and the 9 crossed their arms. "The coach was taking us through basic training, dad now, the level we're preparing for. You need to be faster, focus more on defense and less on offense right now in truth. But start this young with my father and we stand a better chance." he said and Karp swallowed hard.
"So you'd rather get us turned into a group like the Hawks by his training us?" Peter asked and his eyes narrowed. "Oh what's the problem, you don't want the extra time in training, you'd rather be on the street pulling dangerous pranks. And till one of these pranks results in nearly killing someone?" he asked and they went white then. "Not me, not anymore, we'd rather be in training, spending some time with our uncle in truth."
"But things change, they can not change back, so get over it, we're happy with either of them, but soon, once we start at the academy, we're his team now." Averman said for him and Charlie finished it then. "And hate to break it to you right now, but based on what he told me that attitude of your's, he sees this all the time. And with the Hawks older brothers right now, but hey, with me showing that attitude is a facade right now."
"But with you, start showing attitude or lose your temper, you're boxed till you cool down right now. In truth he's the coach we need right now at the current moment, why, well it's to put an end of the attitude and bullying going on. If you're thinking that, guess again, but coach and father, so what does happen. Said is being told to him immediately right now, but better get used to it here right now, because he's 3 in 1 now here."
"And with it never hold back information from him before right now, and why get the parents involved. There is nothing you can do, but accept that they know more then you do, so what if you consider me a traitor. Your opinion is nothing, when compared with his and my parents." he said and they paled at that remark, shaking. "I just found him today and meeting my sister this soon right now, I don't give a darn what you think here."
"Not anymore, but because of you what if it was you that nearly causes another car accident, and all three of them are in the darn car?" he asked and they we went white, realizing this wasn't about the team at all, but preventing a repeater. "With me exposing the truth this soon, you guys are the ones in the hotseat right now in truth here. So as a result, that leaves the adult chooing between options in your cases right now."
"One being a fixed schedule to make sure you're not who knows where getting into who knows what or 2) and to them right now. This is ticking them off to know end, as out of the 12 of us, you're the biggest trouble makers on this team right now. As it is, to our parents and the cops, the coach, it leaves one option, but try to pull out right now. It means you're where till 7 with our folks working over time right now here in truth."
"But this schedule in all truth is better then the alternative when said is right now..." he said and Hall nodded as Monroe crossed his arms then as he said it. "ISS or detention and we got to pick you guys up from the school right now in truth. But it's this or the schedule now, we and your father set here, and personally right now. And we're all thinking this, that schedule is better then the alternative right now in truth here."
"When getting in trouble enough means out of school suspension." he said and Orion nodded sternly in agreement. "Being in practice and a study session is better then being in detention everyday." Jesse said gently and the 8 nodded in agreement. "And this was after we get jumped by Adam and the duo, but Adam hears we decided. That no hard feelings on that right now and made this choice on our own right now to help him."
"This opens a hand in friendship, as like us he's got bonding time with your father and we deepen the bonds as the weeks go by." Averman said and Jesse, Guy and Terry nodded to him. "Never get in the mind of a coach who happens to be a parent and one dealing with the JV team, that's our post now. As we're the new JV team at the academy, as we train under dad and conform to his training methods right now as the weeks go by now."
"Coach only got us started off, with dad, we become so good now the Hawks and their big brothers will never defeat us, but in order to yank it now. You realize that in order to prevent anymore stunts, this is it's getting you two off the street starting now?" he asked sternly and they both paled, realizing he was now insuring things finally. "To dad, grades are big thing, this means to keep competing, we get B's or better to play right now."
"So that means study periods so we can study and get our homework done right now, right now and with it right now in truth here. Is we get chosen for something here right now means we got a tutor anyway right now. As the years go by we can get by there on just our grades, a total lock." he said and Orion nodded gently then. "Yeah that and both together, your SAT's are your ticket to any college in the country at the moment."
"But the further up it goes, it gets dangerous, but you got 8 years, these 8 years are critical, before you start college age hockey. With my training you guys, this helps out right now as you get older, but just remember that the level. That you're training for is not going to work at the level you're on, by that I mean. That your current plays will not work at the level you're preparing for later on right now, we need to make adjustments."
"As you get older and I prepare to take over leadership of the team now in all truth here right now, but these guys are never going to see it coming. That you conformed faster then they did after only a week of training and you prove it it. That you make it and show that you're better then they think." he said and she smiled then. "Yeah that's the movie as we try to make it look like we never practiced that much and make them think."
"That we're pushovers, before we start training everyday right now and then shove it to full power as we show we conformed faster then the Varsity did, as he. The Varsity coach, is not on their case all the time right now, as they see we're now using. In what you taught now." Charlie said and she and Averman smiled at that remark. "Just imagine the second practice after you realize you got your work cut out for you, Uncle Ted."
"After you realize we never practice everyday, as you took over after he got us into the academy." Connie said and he nodded in agreement. "Yeah that and watch your languge or you're in big trouble, but start this young now. As he starts going without the symbol and then realizes he can easily lead you with or without it. We been together so long you easily got used to my methods and you became so good, it's like it was always me."
"But the Varsity, your version, is going to be in total shock you conformed this fast to my training methods now as I took you through practice." he said and the 10 nodded smiling then to him. "Yeah and I didn't need the symbol to prove I'm the real captain as I got you, grabbed that tape and expose the truth. And behind said rumors, finding you, I changed this fast now, never been happier now." Charlie said and he nodded smiling.
"Yeah you proved it easily after you chose me immediately and I took charge right now, I see what you're thinking here though and that works better. And more then leaving you to your devices after school is over right now in truth here right now. As if these guys are close to Juvenile Hall, then one option left, it's what you got in mind here." he said and Charlie nodded sternly as he looked between the duo sternly as he said it then.
"As if you idiots don't get into enough trouble already, well that's enough of this right now, dad said it. That's B's or better to play and stay clear of the toxic chemicals, so how do we insure both. And with it so they know we never get in trouble starting now, these guys in the Hawks. They already see you as a menace to society, so to fix the second, they know we're turning over a new leaf." he said sternly and they started shaking.
"You never expected me to sound like this, once dad comes into my life right now, he knows I'm not a trouble maker. And neither are the quintet now, so what's the best way to ensure this that he knows, like your parents do, where we are at all times?" he said and Orion and the rest of their parents nodded slowly as they got it. "The schedule is fixed, like a parent leaves the kids with her housekeeper as they run an errand."
"Well in this case, that said adult that your parents leave you with me is me as practice is everyday starting now." Gordon said as he read it out then and they both paled at that and their parents nodded sternly. "And this is the consequence for said mutiny, they see you everyday starting now as we make clear there is no compromise. So it's practice everyday now, or we start treating you boys like you're still a toddler right now."
"As we have you doing your homework and you're where we can see you starting now right now." Marks said sternly to that. "With his record with the cops, you need this anyway, Mr. Marks." Charlie said and he nodded as Peter went white then. "Yeah that's right, in doing this based on our parents opinions, dad says stay clear of the hawks now. Till the championships and we will, in order to do that right now, starting now here."
"Is to be on a fixed schedule that leaves the adults knowing where we are at all times and from now on, we're getting off the streets starting now. Dad's a real coach, a school teacher and most of all one of the type that got their kids schedule. Fixed, to make sure they do nothing that gets them in trouble so with that, it means a full day's schedule. So in school, and under adult supervision and I can insure this is your probation now."
"So the cops are not having to deal with you repeatedly and by their opinion, of a fixed schedule and clean training environment. Said means we're adult supervised starting now, so this leaves no more room cruel, sick practical jokes." he said and the duo both paled as the trio crossed their arms sternly, knowing he was right. "So though low middle class, we're safely off the streets doing who knows what in our parents eyes now."
"But I know you liked the freedom after school, well dad runs a much tighter ship, between 3:45 to 7, he and the coach are in charge.
