The Mighty Ducks Re-Imagined I: The Mighty Ducks
Warnings: With this chapter, this is going to show a small portion of the possible theory to Adam's origin story in the Ducks. As Charlie takes charge and becomes his best friend on the team as the quintet do the same now for him. This is also going to be a re-imagining of the Mighty Ducks trilogy as Charlie meets Orion at the age of 10, as their lives are fused together.
As they prepare for what their future brings now, and as Charlie learns the truth. And this soon, that Orion is his real father and he has a life outside of the team. This is also going to leave out the tv show, so an alternate reality story.
Disclaimers: The Mighty Ducks don't belong to me, the story belongs to me, everything else belongs to the disney company.
Chapter 11: Team Decisions And Truths I
"Should have seen this coming you two, that your attempt to mutiny gets shot down by a real coach, one who has the experience to handle mutiny." he said and Orion crossed his arms and he swallowed hard at that. "But when that coach is a school teacher in addition to coach, now what exactly?" he asked and they paled then. "You don't know him and we spent all afternoon talking, as our relationship shifted off right now in truth here now."
"But you get all three in one with a single person, I never turned on him and I will not ever right now you two, the coach is our parents, the 7's case. Best friend and my mother's high school and college age boyfriend, being trained by a pro. That's so worth having an assistant coach and even better if the coach leaves for a try out. And with the minors, he'll come back, but in the mean time right now we got him training us now."
"That prevents what would have been coming on right now by putting our bonds into place with him 4 years prior to starting at the academy now. We've trained under him for 4 years, we gained those scholarships at the time now. And he knows what to expect, as we're his players now as we're faking it for the Varsity. Who just happens to be Adam's brother, his best friend and their team right now in truth, but that's fine now here."
"But we're no longer ducklings, we're teenage ducks under him, it's time to grow up right now, we're borderline high school students. And soon to be the new mascot of the school, these say duckling the new one is teenager, time to grow up." he said and they swallowed hard as Gordon shot his hand up, to shut him up. "Say it and you're done young man, don't go there." Orion said with a warning tone and Charlie nodded firmly.
"And we know that tone as 'think twice, young man, and then think again, you're on thin ice, so choose your words wisely, or they maybe your last on this team.'." Connie said and Orion nodded to confirm that. "When you had me around for 4 years that goes without saying as I practically raised you guys myself all your lives now." he said and she nodded as he looked at her with a look of paternal love in his eyes and she smiled then.
"Right, though he did 3 of the 4 years you did the entire thing and we had you around from now to when we start college now." Guy said and he nodded gently. "And to repeat this right now, they, the 9, trust you, just give me a chance to fix this. But you created us and now time to tie the link shut, they were too late after dad walked in. As this results in meeting dad and then with knowing he's a coach, a real one now in truth here."
"You just started, he's been doing it for over a year right now, so that helps now." Charlie said sternly and Orion nodded as he crossed his arms then sternly. "Issues in the family gang now as we settle into our lives together now here. But keypoint here, is while the duo are connected to us in one way or another right now. What about you gentlemen, what is your connection to me, aside from your being their team mates now, hmm."
"What exactly, you nearly push him into leaving, but me, you really think this attitude will work on me right now, school teacher, coach. So now what gentlemen, hmm what, I'm used to being around teenagers and that can turn into a contant case now. Of riding their tails, been around your team mates so long, that I can handle your peers now. But just what makes you think that attitude will work on me, hmm, what exactly right now."
"The captain of the team is my son and to me, you crossed the one man you shouldn't have here right now, just so you know that attitude. It will not work on me right now, but I deal with kids with your attitude problem all the time. But I call this, if you're not afraid of the cops or your teachers and principal, and you are of me. Then your fathers are never this stern with you, correct?" he asked and they nodded shaking and he nodded.
"Normal father, but having him training us in between the coach being busy with something else, yeah he's strict, but we love him like a father." Connie said and they nodded and he hid a smile. "Fortunately the only one that can get away with that is me, but the rest of you, uh uh, start mouthing off to him like that. You're asking to be kicked off the team till you stop acting like a jerk." Charlie said and they nodded sternly then.
"Didn't think he knew about this right now, he came by the diner and I told him everything right now." he said and they went white then shaking. "So guys, what's your opinion here?" he asked and Monroe answered that for all of them. "To protect the girls we need Fulton at their side, the rest of you deal with the scoring. But if we are to make it then Adam Banks could be a very big help." he said and they broke out in a sweat.
"Agreed right now, Fulton needs to protect the girls, while the 9 of you focus on the scoring, but if we are to make it to the playoffs. Then Adam Banks can and could be a very big help right now." Tremaine said and Reed, Hall and Averman all nodded in agreement then. "And there you go, straight from the horse's mouth, they agree with the coach right now, dad with them." He said and they swallowed hard at his remark shaking.
"Jeez, just what one change does for you, you expose this to an adult outside of the team and now it's all over the district now. That to keep Banks off the team, they are willing to risk the girls safety and if they get hit hard enough. Their cycles could start too soon, before we see blood all over the ice and realize that blow. Was directly to the uterus and her cycle started way too soon in whoever it is." Duncan said sternly to this remark then.
"Oh boy, so from us to Casey's normal customers and Hank, we all said the same thing, her customers were eaves dropping on your conversation?" Monroe said and he nodded gently. "And it's soon going to be all over the town, after he took that puck right to the head here." he said and they nodded. "Great wait till the press hears this, 'captain of the ducks and #44 Fulton Reed after agreeing with their coach right now are considered'."
"'In the eyes of #11 David Karp and #24 Peter Marks, as traitors for only considering the safety of their two girl members. In the eyes of the parents and their new assistant Coach, former pro hockey player, Ted Orion, father of the captain of the team. This is considering a need to permanently deactivate Marks and Karp now from the team. And for attempted mutiny and implication of Charlie Conway and Lester Averman now.'."
"'After a prank nearly resulted in a beyond deadly conclusion'." Averman's father said sternly and and Orion nodded sternly in agreement. "And like I said, you would think that taking that puck to the head and having his mental school bell. Just to wake up in the morning, rung, would knock some sense in to him. " He said and they all nodded. "You would think, but looks like it didn't." Orion said sternly and they both went white then.
"I told them, it's all over the adults right now, they all said the same thing, to protect the girls from an early start, Fulton need to protect them. We deal with the scoring, so if we are to make to the playoffs, then Banks could be a very big help." Charlie said and the duo paled at that remark, then shaking. "Mom's male customers at the diner, Uncle Hank, dad, they all said the same thing, the same as Coach, word for word right now."
"But in the words of Wesley Crusher, if we all want to come out of this in one piece, we get a coach that knows these things..." he said and they went white in fear, as they realized what they said then. "We don't want to come forward, Peter and Karp, now that we know the truth, we're all siding with you. If we want to come out of this unscathed, we should get a coach that knows these things." Conne said for all of them gently at that.
"Never see this coming that I get my dad and tell my parents and it immediately results in putting you guys in the hotseat?" he asked with a stern smirk then and they both paled, realizing it. "My father is an 8th grade to sophomore year coach, so what one choice results in doesn't it I tell him. He becomes the assistant coach, checks that tape, hears the conversation and here we stand." he said and they went white then, shaking.
"Red work sweater, E.H., that's the academy, his current students are all 14 years old, but he's training just started students directly out of the peewees here now. Though directly out of practice, he just happens to drop by the diner right now. But that's the school colors: red and white, so sure we're ducks, but the showdown once we start. It decides the future of the school as we become the new mascot now in truth here."
"But any coach doing it for several years though we practice here right now, he's discussing things with us, what we messed up and fix it for the next game. I just got thrown a curve in my life, that changed me forever right now, one now in truth. I never wanted more now, that more is sure I love the coach like a father, he's my godfather. But a chance to play for my father as my coach, I never wanted anything more now."
"Sure he's a tough and strict coach, but then he has to be when around teengers day in and day out who are beyond moody now. But that's my aim, he's my aim, playing for him now, but just finding my father now finally. I become his perfect first born cub now, but he means more then both of you together right now. I don't care if you think I'm a traitor, his and mom's opinions matter more now." he said and they swallowed hard then.
"I never lied to them, or the team's parents before, or even the coach, or our tutor if we get one and I will not start now. But this is like you saying if I can't lie to save this team then leave, but instead, I drop the bomb to them. And instead of being in trouble, you are and the 9 and I get off now." he said sternly then to them. "Just so you know, practice is cancelled for the day, we're meeting up tomorrow, like normal now in truth."
"But guys, my practice is at 2:45 with Jared and his team, I'll join you guys at 3:45, afterwards, so practice from 3:45 to 4:45, and study session from 4:45 to dinner time." Orion said and the entire team nodded. "Got it coach." "Dad." the 10 all said together gently at that as he looked at the duo sternly then. "Like Karen, she goes to your school now in truth as well here, but she gets off at the same time you guys do now."
"So her mother is picking her up at the same time Gordon gets you guys for practice, so I'll come join you guys. And I'll be there at 4:00 now as I take you through some new ones, but just consider this practice for when you're 14. In plays, as I give you some pointers to prevent an injury." he said and they all nodded gently. "So with meeting you tonight right now, next year if he's getting a try out with the minors here now."
"We'd been around you so long we knew the routine now here that our take in training as we used what you taught us. And that training is the key between us being the ones that make JV and the Hawks now. But these guys are beyond ruthless right now in truth, but to make it, we need to change strategies." he said and Orion nodded. "Your coach was a retired hockey player, after Reilly destroyed his love for the game, finding your peer."
"That brought back his love for the game right now in truth here, I retired last year and to me, in all truth I never been happier to retired, I get to watch my baby grow up. I find my son, and your classmates, and knowing who they are to me now. And that does it, I'm retired and I never made an easier choice, finally I get the chance. Now to watch my own kids and my adopted cubs, but who are you kidding right now exactly here."
"This is a no win situation right now, but he knows about my personal life, well your peer is part of that life, he's one piece to it and my daughter is the other. I had 2 reasons to retire and I never regretted that choice at all, life is what you make of it. And he made his choice, he's changed, he is not changing back, more then his father, I'm 3 in one now. I carry 3 positions in his life: parent, coach and mentor, yeah I'm strict right now."
"But I have to be, but then why are your team mates not minding this right now in all truth, why exactly right now, why gentlemen. Well the reason is because soon Gordon is turning leadership of the team over to me, but these jerseys are retired when he does. And my version are the new design Charlie's creating once we get chosen here now and for something now here in truth, but the yellow is gone and exchanged for white now."
"And your wings have grown in completely and you're ready to take flight, you consider why he had to take you through skating practice, you can't learn to fly. And till you learn to run after you learn to walk, but the more momentum you build you lift off finally. But Averman was correct, first learn the kick and then you learn to fly, which is. In truth, Morita's direct opinion, first learn that kick and then you take flight now after that."
"Our new version, that's my version of the team has sum number of players, as I upgrade what he taught you guys as I become your leader as head coach. But a coach, as your mentor now, is everything you need us to be, that at times now. You grow too attached and never want to let go, I know your peers are thinking this. As in between his returning now to Minneapolis, I'd be keeping your training, their training now, in truth."
"Updated, before we gain our sum number of players and those players have me for 6.5 years as their coach, mentor and surrogate father, as I work out the kinks. Such as our speedster has a hard time slowing down once he gets going and I got to deal with it. In teaching him to put the brakes on, before he runs someone down next." he said and the quintet exchanged smiles as they felt their hearts lifting up at that remark then.
"Just imagine the movie that comes with chapter 3, it's not you, it was never you, I was sick of all this back and forth with the Varsity right now. I was annoyed that while I'm doing all the work, no one is in place to get that shot. Now, into the goal and now to top it off as a teenager, I find something that matters now. And more then winning now to me and said is I'm in love as I turn into a teenage you." Charlie told him and he nodded.
"Yeah you got a life outside the team, one member of your trio is out of town, and our sum number has a member missing and to top it off. Adam is a plant on the Varsity, and we're waiting till they try to revoke the scholarships to pull the plug right now. And when we do that's the signal to get our missing player, Jason comes home at the same time. And both our version in ducks are back now, if Hans passes before the showdown."
"This game is in memory to your grandfather mentor." he said and the 7 nodded to the remark in agreement. "This is for Hans, we win that game for him, his legacy lives on in us now finally here, but as does my girlfriend's wish now. To change mascots now, but 4 years older, 4 years wiser, our wings have grown in completely time to take flight. But the Warriors, the Hawks, die, and the Ducks fly." he said and the team nodded, smiling then.
"In other words, though Coach is head coach, we got you training us in between seasons and you're doing our next 18 months to 2 years after this season ends?" Jesse asked him and he smiled and they smiled in delight at that remark. "And we get you ready for when I take over as head coach, you know my training strategies now. The routine I got set for you, leading into the academy, and I do your 5 entire years now in truth here now."
"You guys know me better then anyone, but in another way now, not as your coach, but..." he said and they nodded smiling. "But as our surrogate uncle we had you there all our lives, you practically raised us yourself now. So this summer and the upcoming years, always in gang family time now." Goldberg said smiling and they nodded gently. "Yeah this is going to be worth it now right now, don't worry Coach, we're in good hands now."
"We'll be fine right now, though gone nothing's changed at all, you're here, still in spirit now and we change life for the better in this town. But your remark to Ducksworth turns true, this maybe your last year at the firm, but still a lawyer now." Charlie said and Gordon nodded gently at that, smiling they were happy then. "Never expected to hear that I'm a real coach and been dealing with borderline high school students here."
"To sophomores in high school now in truth here boys, well that's your big mistake right now in truth here. But if this was from 4 years into the future, Charlie and I met today and 4 years down, you're acting the way he would be, if we never knew he was my son. You're facing a very stern coach here, as that attitude now, I will not tolerate right now, nor you mouthing off to me, raising your voice at me or whatever it is with it now."
"I maybe his father, but that doesn't mean special treatment, just captain and he and I work together to control the team here." Orion said sternly and they swallowed hard at that news then. 'God no, his father is a real coach?!' Orion saw in their eyes and he nodded sternly as Charlie leaned against him then as he saw the look of a 10 year old boy with his father as he crossed his arms then sternly as he looked between them.
"Jared Banks, that's Adam's big brother, is my current player along with his best friend, Scooter Holland, Jared told me about his sister, she's sick, lymphoma. And it's in the very early stages, he's not a bad kid, he's trying to bury his pain by being the way. Now that you see him here right now, he's a good kid in truth, with Gordon and me. He plays the way we want him to become, a true player, love of the game, we're not that rough."
"But he would understand once I did some raising money deals, and we raise more and top what the Hawks raised and kill that cancer stone dead. But this attude doesn't say Duck, it says Hawk, in everyway you can say it, but learning he has a sister. But he's changed so fast, there is no changing back, he's stuck this way for life." he said and Charlie gave the bottom line sternly as he looked between them as he read it out firmly.
"Not fair huh, well, what if it was Uncle Jason, who made the same decision, Fulton and I agree with him, still call us a traitor right now. Is that it, it doesn't matter whether it's the coach, dad, the sextet right now guys, we choose them. And we're traitors now to you guys, marginalization?" he asked and they went white, realizing it didn't matter who in the adults chosen was made the coach, the question would always be the same.
"I knew this without a doubt the argument is the same here no matter who is coach, but dropping the bomb to them just shot your attempt to keep me pointed as traitor. And Fulton with me, but telling this to the adults immediately, just saved us here. From you getting us in trouble with the principal for whatever happens later this week now. But instead of coach bailing us out of detention now, I get my dad and here we stand now."
"My dad is a real coach in truth, he's around teenagers day in and day out to know these things right now, we're his next group incoming. But him training us for 4 years, before he becomes head coach, we're perfectly happy here. And with him being the assistant coach, now and real in 4 years as 8th graders now. But more then our coach, he's their parents best friend, and my father, no win here." he said and they went pale at that.
"You really think that we're going to take it lightly right now that you get them put in detention, when you should be in practice right now. Just say if this was before we realized Ted walked right into us and then a few dozen other things. And tomorrow in class right now, as we all know you guys are in the same class together. All of you get in trouble for the whatever it is, as Gordon reveals himself to your principal now."
"And then reveals who you guys are to her, and who he is to us, as he now has to get you guys out of detention so you can practice now. Just how the heck are we supposed to take this, if Ted never came to the diner and Charlie reveals this to us. But no, the one that deserved that detention was you, for whatever said to put you in there. But this is a no win fight for you, once Charlie revealed this to us." Monroe said sternly to them then.
"Yeah I call that a no win in discussion, now that you put this into perspective, so it doesn't matter if it your parents, me or just a total stronger. We do this, they agree with us and they're an instant traitor, seems to be no win right now. Well now that the parents are involved now, you're a dead duckling now." Gordon said sternly and they both went white, realizing that was why Charlie got Orion involved immediately then in shock.
"Ha right now, but to our parents this is a death sentence in the team, you just said F..., you, to your parents, our parents right now. So to you it doesn't matter who it is right now, we pick them and instant marginalization to you idiots now in truth. Dad, Uncles Eric, Jack, David, Joey, Adam, if they chose the same thing, we side with our coach. You call us a traitor, so in your eyes, it doesn't matter who it is, we chose them here."
"And to you we're traitors, because we side with the adults over the girls protection right now in truth." he said and their fathers all crossed their arms sternly at that remark and the duo paled, realizing he just nailed them right to the wall. "I must say he has a very good point here, what if we made this same decision and they side with us. Would you still call them traitors?" Duncan said sternly and they swallowed hard at that remark.
"You guys never see this coming do you right now, if it's not Gordon, but Jason, if not Jason, it's Eric, Jack, Joe, David, Ted, Adam, me. It doesn't matter who coaches the team, we come to this decision, they agree with us and you call them traitors. Is that it, it doesn't matter who of us makes this decision, they agree with us and you call them traitors?" Duncan said sternly and they swallowed hard, realizing they were dead at that.
"I don't believe this right now, so it doesn't matter the adult that makes the decision, they choose us and you call them traitors, it's a no win argument with you guys." Orion said sternly at that remark as he crossed his arms sternly. "If that's the way it's going to be, why not throw you off the team right now and be done with it now. Because he and Fulton are the only ones thinking straight here in all truth, knowing in how we see this."
"But if we are to make it to the playoffs, and Banks can be a very big help." they all said together and they went white in fear, realizing they were never going to win the fight shaking at that. "Yeah there you see, I did what they wanted me to do, I ask questions, tell them the truth, get that tape and expose everything right to the team. But my father is the academy JV hockey coach, he's my mentor, I'm not hiding this from him now."
"And before you put the blame on me, for getting our parents involved, my father is a high school coach, I tell him and it's all over the rest of the parents. And of the team in 3 hours right now in truth, that you call us a traitor for agreeing with our fathers. And the coach, that it doesn't matter which of them makes the decision right now. We choose them and to you two, we're traitors." he said sternly and they both paled further then.
"Hawk or not has nothing to do with this, to protect the girls, we need Adam right now, Fulton needs to be on protection duty. We deal with the scoring, now if we are to make it to the playoffs Adam can be a very big help." Charlie said and they broke out in a sweat. "So that's what you were trying to say, not 'if we make it' but 'if we are to make it'?" Connie said to that and he nodded to her gently as he crossed his arms then sternly.
"No getting out of this boys, it's no matter who makes this decision if they're a good man and acting like a surrogate father with you guys. And we got two girls on this team, the question is the same no matter who the coach is here." Gordon said sternly and they swallowed hard. "And like you said, if everyone in town knows the dangers of my slapshot, just wait till our sum players see this, and it bounces off the garbage can."
"And ricochets off it, over the fence and hits a parked car, if they're used to the puck flying over the fence on a regular basis, we're not in trouble." Fulton said and the 9 started laughing at that. "After destroying the car windows, we quickly learned to not to be in range of when you're getting ready to shoot here. So we wait for you to shoot and go passed the area you're shooting from here right now, but this is well known."
"You get ready to fire, we stay out of range and anyone right now in shooting range has to take cover now." Hall said with a bemused smile and he nodded gently at that remark then. "And after 60 broken windows in 3 months we're used to the dangers right now of knowing when you get ready to fire, get out of the way and quick right now." Averman said smiling and he nodded gently in agreement to this then as they exchanged looks.
"And don't bother trying to catch that shot, or you're going to break your hand or it has the puck indention in the middle of it." Charlie said gently at that remark. "I dragged this up at the diner at the time and everyone all said the same thing. To protect the girls, adding Banks is a good idea as Fulton needs to protect the girls we focus on scoring. Coach had a very good reason, these idiots in the Hawks see the girls like they see us."
"But you would think, after getting your mental school bell rung after taking that puck right to the head, you would have the common sense. Just to look at this from their point of view." he said and Karp broke out in a sweat, realizing it hadn't. "Just where is your common sense Karp huh, where, the girls are borderline puberty. But get hit hard enough in the uterus it could start their cycles too soon and there's blood all over the ice."
"Just what is that going to do to not only you, but whoever struck them that hard?" he asked and they started shaking in fear at that. "For us, repeatedly, in blows there can destroy any chance of fathering children. But for the girls, a blow that hard can rupture the uterus, or worse, causes it to start way too soon here, you idiot. But why doesn't it surprise me you never see that, if the girls matter at all to you right now in truth."
"You wouldn't be debating this right now, and immediately protect them." he said sternly and they both swallowed hard at his remark. "That's why the Coach decided on this, Fulton is the strongest of the team right now. He can protect the girls, we and Adam focus on scoring." he said sternly and they swallowed hard at that. "Am I the only one thinking this that to prevent it starting too soon, Fulton protects the girls right now."
"We focus on the scoring now?" he asked and the 9 nodded sternly. "No I see it clearly here right now, the girls are more fragile, but we're 10 years old. Get hid hard enough, it could start it 2 to 3 years too soon, so no, to protect them, we follow the coach." Averman said gently and the quintet nodded sternly. " And I see no reason to even trust you anymore right now after you lied to them." Charlie said and then said it sternly.
"Call us traitors, for siding with an adult, why, that makes me wonder right now, if you see an adult as the enemy right now, what just does that say. And it doesn't matter which version of the conversation is used now it's same argument. So say it's Vader's apprenticeship, Star Trek itself or right now and it doesn't matter. In which version is used right now, but if I could pin this on anyone thing right now, TNG at the moment."
"So just say that our conversation matches the fight with Crusher's squadron and what happens as he shook up Picard's trust in him, hmm, what. Picard never doubted he would be a perfect officer and that nothing's happened so far. In truth, that would make him doubt that thought, but what if there was right now, what if something did. On the one hand, he turned on his squadron after a flight training accident and came forward."
"And told them the truth, yeah he was a traitor to them, but he never lost what mattered more to him, that's his relationship with his crew mates. And his mother and Picard's trust, duty to the truth, you tell the truth you get to stay, black mark on the record. And flight status revoked you get hold back a year, no big deal those can be earned back now. But you never lost the most important thing in the world to you, your mentor's trust."
"Your adult friends trust right now, your mentor and your parents trust, things never change, make a mistake in training, you learn from it and you move on. But duty to your friends, lie and when you choose to come forward, the damage is done. No matter where you go, they hear your name then drag it up, now do you want that?" he asked and Orion crossed his arms at the analogy then sternly, knowing he was right at that remark.
"Ouch, yeah you got a good point Charlie, I would rather keep my parents trust then lose it, I lie they'll never trust me again." Connie said to that remark "Yeah, us too, we never lied to our parents before, we're not starting now and we do they'll never trust us again. So no, duty to the truth and we just made that clear, we never lied before, we're not starting now, so duty to the truth." the quartet all said together at that remark then.
"Indeed, you never lied to us before and you're not starting now and you're right, the last two can be earned back, but you never lost what mattered more. And that's our trust, nothing changes between us and things stay the same, if you wanted to do it. Your probation, and under us right now we can do that as we rebuild the bonds right now. And make them stronger that's fine, you never lost us at all, our trust matters more to you."
"It always did right now." Duncan said sternly and Orion nodded in agreement to his thoughts then sternly as the sextet's parents nodded. "You both sound like the trio that cost Crusher the trust of his mother and Picard in the tv show. And that was this year, trade your remark for what he said right now, if we got a problem. And with sticking with you, then leave the team, but don't you make pay for your ignorance in the girls."
"Their safety, let us sacrifice our careers to save your buts, no to save to save the team, that's more important then you and it's more important then me. And if I was you, I would do that without thinking twice, but that's just me." Charlie said and they broke out in a sweat. "Nick Locarno anyone, you're playing Nick Locarno, just what are my parents, let alone their's, are going to say, I mean I did what I thought was best here right now."
"Fulton and I are the duo that knew lying is bad idea, and if you bothered to ask right now, you would know this, but we just immediately told our parents now. It doesn't matter which version of the conversation it took, the subtext is something. Now, they will not tolerate, I should know, I know the sextet's parents better then you do." he said and Orion crossed his arms. "Dead duck walking." Duncan said sternly at that remark then.
"And now that I know Conway is not my real father, my father is this man next to me, I never want to lose his trust, my mentor, my coach, my best friend, my father. Everything I need lays with him, can't lose his trust, I won't so yeah I'm a traitor, but cub bear. Cub bear to papa bear, papa wants me, cub, to tell the truth, I tell the truth, regardless. Now of being treated like a pariah, your opinion, it means nothing, his everything." he said and the 9 nodded softly to that.
And in agreement then. "Us too, he's our coach, our best friend, mentor and adoptive father, he's papa bear, we're cub bear, though we got our own parental bears. But our parental bears want us to tell the truth, be good and behave, then we do so. Your opinions mean nothing to us, their's, they mean everything us, I knew him longest, next to Charlie. But I love him like another father, seeing him everyday now, it's worth the truth coming out now finally here."
"We know soon enough the coach will leave and we get passed to a new one, but thing of it is now, we're not afraid, because we know who our very last one is. A man we knew all our lives, he took care of us after the coach left for a time during said try outs. But soon, as we reach our junior to senior years, now the fear comes out, we always had him there now. For you idiots you can't wait to be free of him, well for us, we're counting down the days we got left with him."
"Together, you hated him for the strict authority act, for us, he's our mentor, our teacher we all love him his trust, like our parents we can't lose and we won't." Averman said and Orion nodded gently as he pulled him him into a hug and he buried his head into his shoulder. As the 10 looked at him with love and adoration, as their parents smiled gently knowing he was it. As Gordon hid a smile knowing he was leaving his team in good hands then gently as he said it.
"Yes and whatever reason you're in trouble tell me immediately boys, okay, being a school teacher in addition to coach now, what can't be told to your parents. But just who are you kidding boys hmm, he's never lied to his mother before, me added to this. He won't to me either now, but never lied to us before, and he's not starting now." Orion said sternly at this. "That's the subtext, we're the inquiry, your father the leader of the entire team right now later on."
"So that's the paraphrase is it now, well I must say I agree with you, you never lied to me before, you're not starting now." Hall said sternly and they swallowed hard. "Yeah it is Mr. Hall, we both considered the reason you guys would choose this right now. But you deserved the reason why we're so ticked and instead of you taking on being coach. And for the rest of the season, we went to get the tape and here we stand right now."
"Grabbing the tape gave us an easy out as you handle this yourselves as you say your opinions on their calling us traitors now." Fulton said gently and he nodded. "And now they're the ones that are the pariahs here at the moment, you came forward. And told us immediately of what the heck is going on here in the team, so that helps. Still our star pupils and we're very proud of you guys, nice work." Hall said and Charlie smiled then.
"Papa bear, but I always tried to follow as you guys told me, I never kept anything from you guys before..." he said as Anna smiled gently. "And just why start now baby, I get it, and you always acted like another son to us in the 6 of us. But that's being the perfect best friend and surrogate son in our eyes, star pupil, golden child. You could do no wrong in our eyes, but these guys are a trouble magnet." Monroe's wife said smiling gently.
"So that's the real argument right now, they actually paraphrased what Locarno said to Billy?" Orion said sternly and they nodded gently. "They did, but now that you came into the picture that shoots it down dead here at the moment. But they put that into Vader's past, before he became Vader, he can't lie right now to Obi-wan. They give him this choice, them or Obi-wan, and he chooses Obi-wan, like I chose you now, dad."
"But that's the problem." he said and they nodded. "And what if that adult was your own father, would you still call us traitors?" Fulton asked and they both went white at that and their parents nodded. "So even if it means the safety of the girls, you're willing to forfeit the season right now to keep Adam off the team. You know I was always wondering if letting you on the team was a good idea and now I know right now in truth here."
"But the girls safety, helping Adam raise money to help his sister, you guys are a real piece of work right now, so you're willing to have the girls end up in the hospital. Just to keep Adam off the team, on the speculation of a single sentence right now. But not my friend, my friend would never do that, but then I thought about the way you act. In where I'm concerned you want to keep me looking like a screw up so you never lose it."
"Just so you never lose your supposed position as captain of the team?" he asked sternly and and they both paled at that. "That's not fair!" Karp said again, shaking while realizing he finally had enough of their attitude as he said with resignation firmly. "That's the key point right now here in all truth, I would never put the girls at risk. Just to keep an ex enemy off the team, but my friend would never risk the girls safety right now to do it."
"And now I know, if you're willing to put the girls in the hospital, those girls, our sister ducks, my twin, if her safety, Tammy's safety. Now means nothing to you just to keep things like this and now I know you are willing to do that." Charlie said shaking his head as Connie looked down at the title as he tried to deny it "You're looking at this all wrong!" Peter said shaking, realizing he made a dangerous error at that remark in their eyes.
"We don't think so, I think we truly are seeing you for the first time right now." Jesse said sternly and Charlie completed the sentence. "I guess you never considered what Connie and I are to each other right now, she's my twin, I love her like a sister, so to me. In order to protect her, I do what's necessary, even if it means getting Adam. We do what must be done, to protect the girls now and if that means Fulton had protection duty."
"We do what needs to be done regardless of the fact our new player is and was once the enemy right now in truth. But why, why should we listen to you anymore right now, knowing we do and the ending results could get us in trouble. So simple solution to this, you're deactivated and for the rest of the season right now. And we win the seasonal championships, then so be it now." Charlie said and the 9 all nodded in agreement.
"I'm Charlie's personal bodyguard you two, but we lead the charge to our jerseys, we were the ones that again sided with him. And before the damage becomes irreparable, we look into what was said, I meet his father and I see this now. I think Charlie deserves to be captain of the team right now, we did just what the Coach wanted us to do. Saying it in every way it can be said, we trust him." Fulton said sternly and they swallowed hard
As Charlie signaled the quintet and they all nodded in agreement then. "Charlie in truth here, you make a very good point, if we were Jedi, this is saying now. You're keeping their secret, but do that you lost your own mentor's trust, but turn them in. If it's a weapon violation, one serious to kill as those things deflect blaster shots. Without a working lightsaber that can kill someone." Goldberg said and Charlie nodded sternly.
"I'm not a traitor, you're the traitor and I think I am truly seeing you for the first time ever now, I never lied to my father or the coach before. I am not starting now, but you're with us, or you go it alone, but know that you do, you're no longer a duck." he said and they felt their hearts shatter. "Yeah that's right, the council is our parents and the coach, first rule here is you never lie to your coach, like you never would to your parents."
"But a coach of his caliber, they become a surrogate parent now, but this is how it is, but if this is what Vader was dealing with right now at post high school age. The factor of your counterparts telling my counterpart to lie to save themselves right now. I never lied to him before, and I will not start now, but call me a traitor, because I chose the team. My mother, the council, there is no forgiveness." he said and they both paled at that.
"I see no difference here in this, it's the same question no matter who coaches us, if they're like our parents and dad is my coach full time now, Karp." he said and they went pale, realizing he had a valid argument then. "So just say your fathers, or my father took over coaching for the rest of the season, they also came to this decision. And Fulton and I still agree with them, will you call us traitors then?" he asked and they swallowed hard.
"So you would rather risk the girls ending up in the hospital for an early start in puberty, then let an former enemy player on this team who is the best player in the league?" he asked sternly and they swallowed hard. "Now if we are to make it to the playoffs, then Adam can be a very big help right now in truth. But your idiocy of not considering how our parents would see this is your death sentence." he said and their parents nodded.
"Game, set and match young man, he's right, if it was us, and he and Fulton still agree with us, would you still call them traitors?" Hall said as he crossed his arms then. "I think you been listening to us way too much lately, because you're the one now. In truth that went to standard logic, if it wasn't Gordon, but one of us as your parents. Now coaching you, that we come to this same decision, no matter who the new player is right now."
"But with girls on the team, to protect them, we need a top rate shooter while Fulton focus on protection duty." Chef Goldberg said and Gordon started laughing at the bemused smile on his face. "And when we're not around, when you're in school your teachers are in charge and when in practice and games Gordon, or in this case. Ted is, so it doesn't matter who the coach is, what we say goes." Hall said in response gently then.
"And that said coach is like us as your parents, and you're calling him a traitor, simply because for siding with us, your parents, who are you kidding, we are your parents. For gods sakes, we who raised you, taught you, and everything in your life. As that is worth knowing, when it comes right down to it, that it's the parent being coach. Or in Gordon's case, the adopted parent, it's loyalty to family." he said sternly and Peter went white.
"So Uncle Jason, guys, what's your opinion now that we all came to the same decision here right now, over where this is going to lead?" Charlie asked and they crossed their arms gently. "We're doing 50 hours a week every week till the season is over here." Reed said and their parents nodded sternly in agreement then. "Yeah and that little girl's life is worth it, just like our own children are worth it, easiest choice we could make right now."
"So normal 40 hours a week is our current paychecks we add on 20 hours over time now, every week and that's two weeks, bi-weekly. So 20 hours each two week period, times 4 months now." he said and they all nodded. "This means 5 months over time, but we pay back the amount after getting a 90 day extension on our apartments here." Averman said and Hall nodded in agreement as they exchanged looks firmly at that remark then.
"Yeah okay that's the plan then, we get 5 months over time til the season is over, and the total comes to $9,250, each for all of us and a 1/6th of that is our apartment rent now. The bills dropped beyond low and we can pay everything off with the amount. In over time right now, as the kids are spending an added 4 hours a day with Ted. And Gordon now, so we got an easy solution after school's over, but for us right now in truth now."
"You better ask these brats are they willing to trade their homes for that little girl's life right now and working over time till April now." Chef Goldberg said to that gently and Charlie nodded. "This means over time, we're all working till 7, till the season is over right now, but the kids are still too young. To be left on their own, so that leaves only one option." Anna said and the others all nodded as Gordon got what she was trying to say.
"Yeah nobody at home after school and what if we got a robber or something scoping out our neighborhood, we need someone with the kids till we get off work. So the emergency legal contact, though Charlie is with Ted, for us..." Monroe said and they nodded. "Yeah, Gordon, you mind about taking the kids for several hours everyday after school. Till the season is over right now, it's just 10 weeks?" Duncan asked him and he nodded gently.
"No I don't mind at all, I can watch the kids this semester till you guys get off work." he said and they nodded in relief. "Practice, study period, we get them dinner and take them home, that's not a problem right now." Orion said gently at that. "Meaning our practice periods are now everyday after school starting now, till the end of the season." Charlie said and the 9 all nodded as they got it then firmly as they exchanged looks then.
"Just Monday, but practice and study period all week and we're going to have a slightly full schedule till the season is over guys." Guy said and he nodded. "Yeah no kidding, but this prepares us for when he's taking over the team. He said B's or better to play or we're benched, okay no problem, so we got a study period after practice. Just to do our homework, dinner then we go home after that." Goldberg said and the sextet nodded.
"This is going to be a long week this way right now as though they're using the arena we normally play at, right now, so we're using the city rink to train in everyday right now." Connie said and they nodded in agreement to her thought. "Or to the pond that Coach found us at and we train there, but we live in Minnesota, the sport was normally played outside. Before getting moved indoors now, but we better start locking the doors to train as dad implements it."
"The it, his training into our practices after a week of this and then everyone gets the shock of a life time, no more then the JV Hawks, our version's big brothers. As they see they should have conformed to his training sooner right now, start as young as we are. We'll never be defeated now, because we're going to destroy their brothers in the championships. As, if Coach leaves for said try out with the minors, it's dead duck walking." Charlie said and Orion smiled sternly.
"No kidding, after years of my training you, the Varsity, my current set are going to be terrified here and realize they should have listened to me sooner. Because if they had now, they would've been able to defeat you, but the fact they didn't now is death. And by irony, their own refusal to let go of Reilly's teachings is a double edged sword, on the one hand. It got them to being state champs, but on the other, what happens if their opponents accept the training and conform."
"And years, before they encounter said opponent, as they see how good you really are and how fast you took to my training strategies. But we defeated their brothers, sum number of times, we defeated a team just like them in said gig. And played against every team in the global circuit, that we're global champs now in all truth. And now we come home, you get that scholarship at the academy and they're screwed." Orion said and the 10 nodded smiling then.
And sternly at that remark. "And the strategy we created with you in charge always won us the game, till this becomes too easy in the eyes of certain people." he said and he nodded. "And I drilled this into you from an early age, we keep it below 5." he said to him then. "Yeah total shut out, or we keep it below 5 in our opponent's cases now at the moment. As we also put our plays into code and only we and our parents know what we're saying to each other here in plays."
"While for Adam, Jared and Scooter now in truth here, the guys are in it, as the guys are making these losers: Riley and his band of losers, so over confident. We're going to destroy them in the showdown as the playbook got updated." he said and Orion nodded smiling. "Yeah well no night practices though the bonehead that causes that, is it's like, nice work, you idiot, it's not our fault, you got us into this, you get us out." Jesse said and the sextet nodded in agreement.
"You always considered us your kids, but you knew us longer then you knew whoever it is that joins the team, but we're doing a practice game for a couple days. And then we see you off, as this begins as 1 real cub and sum number surrogate right now. But never mattered you or Uncle Ted, we had a life together and we're a flock right now." Tammy said and Gordon nodded smiling as Fulton nodded as he answered that remark.
"And our hotshot, if he's Peter at 15 years old right now this is not going to end well right now as he knows his quartet, but starts picking on us. Because we're all dressed in matching jerseys right now at the current moment. And I'm just saying this for all of us, but that's enough of this, and who the heck do you think you are. What you think because you're defense you can start picking on us?" Connie asked, crossing her arms.
"We've been together so long with dad training us and being our coach leading into this gig, we've won the championship 3 times in 3 years. As a result at the time here, we're now the Minneapolis Mighty Ducks and we're state champs. And soon, we're Global champs now as now they got to get used to being a flock, fly as one, work as one. Target a member of the team, you got the others on your head." Charlie said and they nodded.
"This character is a teenager?!" Goldberg said and she shook her head. "Your counterpart may have the better glove, but you're getting the better stick in being a goalie. As well as playing on peewee, borderline junior high level right now, but in truth. Is a case now of looks like faster reflexes on that level, but both of the guys out. This means I need protection, before whoever it is gets too rough." she said and he and Jesse nodded then.
"For us with the guys laid out, our sum number now realize, in the guys, we got to head off this jerk's getting far too rough with you right now. But whatever he did prior, doing that may protect you, but he's being caged for it." Charlie said in response and she nodded as Gordon rolled his head in annoyance. "And just saying this now, is this game is not a game, but is turning into a circus right now." he said in response to that remark.
"But there is no reason to sink to their levels right now in whoever did that in whoever we're playing right now. The Hawks are one thing, but dressed in the same colors it gave color opinions us in going from green and yellow. And to white with turquoise and purple mixed in, but we're ducklings right now and soon we're teenage ducks right now. But this wise guy needs to chill, and before a fight breaks between our sides as we do this."
"And just who does this guy think he is, this character is a goon, we don't play that kind of hockey." Fulton said and the sextet nodded in agreement to that remark. "Issues with the teenage hormones we're borderline 13 to 14 here and you know us better then that. But come on right now, there is no reason to start showing off right now, before we learn to start working as one right now here." Charlie said in response and Gordon nodded.
"You just said my thoughts out loud after I see this kid right now, but come on right now, whoever chooses me to coach the team after I get back. He needs to give me some space here, but hand over the whistle, you'll get it back at the end of the semester." he sais and they chuckled at the remark. "This is going to be a long three months leading into the 8th grade right now." Averman said and they started laughing at that remark.
"Yeah and when dad's been training us in the off season, his time as Jared's coach is over and he's focused solely on us now finally, that when we got this gig. In truth coming up right now, our yellow changed to white and we're ready to take flight." Charlie said and they nodded in agreement. "Yeah these are our memories as ducklings, as we get the new ones and now we're your father's version." Guy said to him and he nodded gently.
"If I remember correctly Varsity is 16 to 18 years and we're all 14 to 16 right now, when that happens, but you seeing me changing in attitude now. It's I'm channeling Peter for that 3 months so we got them in a cross and double cross here. So after we win that showdown and just prior now, I change back and I'm back to being the me. That you guys know again, okay, but today, he got us into this." he said and the quintet nodded.
"Which is what this nearly caused right now, he wants to go down, he's not taking us with him right now, as you told us the truth this soon. So prevent a fight from breaking out in class is the key, though your father, Charlie, is not going to take it well. That practice nearly got cancelled and because he had us thrown in detention for whatever reason." Fulton said and Orion nodded in agreement as Hall and Averman exchanged looks then.
"Hey Ted, how often is practice after school is let out?" Hall asked him and he explained that. "I got it everyday after school right now, school lets out at 2:30, at the academy right now, so 1 hour practice till 3:30. And I'm heading for the town rink at 3:45, so 3:45 to 7, so with my being their future head coach now. This sets the schedule now as the years go by if we get chosen for something else right now." he said and they nodded.
"We better write up our new schedules for the rest of the season now, as once we got the deal squared away, we tell Adam and he falls in line. And with our schedules and as he settles into his future life with our team if he chooses to join us." Averman said and she, Charlie, Goldberg, Jesse and Guy all nodded in in agreement to that. "And as I got you guys on a fixed schedule for the following 2.5 years, leading into our next gig right now."
"So you know what we're preparing for as soon it goes from outside of the school to inside and this has you prepared to for when I take over as head coach after that." he said and the team nodded. "Well our parents won't mind this for a while, this keeps us out of trouble and we got you right now if the coach leaves for whatever reason." Goldberg said and he nodded gently in agreement as their parents hid a chuckle at that.
