The Mighty Ducks Re-Imagined I: The Mighty Ducks
Warnings: With this chapter, this is going to show a small portion of the possible theory to Adam's origin story in the Ducks. As Charlie takes charge and becomes his best friend on the team as the quintet do the same now for him. This is also going to be a re-imagining of the Mighty Ducks trilogy as Charlie meets Orion at the age of 10, as their lives are fused together.
As they prepare for what their future brings now, and as Charlie learns the truth. And this soon, that Orion is his real father and he has a life outside of the team. This is also going to leave out the tv show, so an alternate reality story.
Sorry everyone, I lost two chapters in the update, the rest of this is on a hold till I fix this problem right now.
Disclaimers: The Mighty Ducks don't belong to me, the story belongs to me, everything else belongs to the disney company.
Chapter 12: Team Decisions And Truths II
"Yeah that's our thinking too, Gregory, this time of year being on the open streets in the middle of the night is dangerous without adult or parental supervision. So having your coach involved in our new schedule planning till the season is over. Is the best option we got starting now in truth, as he's no stranger to you in the case of Ted. But for Gordon, now, you get chosen for something else and we're leaving him responsible for you."
"So this is just preparing you guys for that as it's till you're 14 and after that, you guys can manage. But Charlie's got baby-sitting duty with Karen still too young to be on her own right now." Tremaine said gently at that and Orion nodded gently. "Yeah no kidding, I'm not leaving these guys alone with them still this young as I got the kids. And they are on a consistent schedule now till the season is over after that it goes back to normal."
"So that sets the stage for 8th grade to high school and now they know the usual routine as their days are a bit busy leading into college now." he said and their parents nodded in agreement to that remark the team exchanged smiles gently. "Talk about a change in schedules right now, we got 2.5 years here, before Jared switches coaches. After that you're on us full time now, preparing to take us on as your next group incoming now."
"So next question, what's your opinion to them picking Adam when we got girls on this team and Fulton's the strongest of the team right now?" Charlie asked and they nodded. "That's a really good idea, yes they're hockey players, but at the same time here right now. And as a parent with a girl, I'd rather Fulton was protecting my daughter and you guys. Now focus on the scoring till we get Fulton a counterpart enforcer." Duncan said gently at that remark.
"So you see this as we had a good reason to side with you as our parents and coach, and to us, we see this as the same way right now?" Averman asked, saying it for both of them as Fulton crossed his arms. "Yes son we do, agreeing with the parents is not wrong, our opinion matters more to you then your peers do, that's not wrong and peer pressure is illegal." Duncan said and the duo paled. "And peer pressure is the same as blackmail." Gordon added and they swallowed.
"So said one way out was by telling you immediately and you do the rest, as in addition to our coach, you're our lawyer." Charlie said and he nodded. "Was anyone carrying a knife or a gun on you by any chance, as that could be a reason to consider it: Blackmail at gun or knifepoint." Duncan said and they went white at that remark. "No, but these idiots might as well have, our one out was by checking on the trio." Averman said sternly and they swallowed hard at that.
"Before I dropped the bomb and now it's all over the district, that not only did these idiots say that the girls safety is not important, but they practically forced us into it. By B.B. gun or switch point, dad and you, like we saved you, you saved us from turning into J.D.'s, Coach." Charlie said and the duo broke out in a sweat. "Yeah you two are headed for a life of crime and only my intervention saved their lives right now, young man." Orion said sternly at that remark then.
"Dad's my salvation, without him, I could become like you idiots, Averman with me, we're not doing this anymore, so you want to go down. Then you're not taking us with you starting now, it's our problem, we stay out of it starting now." he said and the 9 nodded sternly. "All in favor of they get in trouble we stay out of it starting now?" Averman asked and the 10 raised their hands. "All opposed?" Orion asked and they didn't move and Charlie said it sternly to the duo.
"Alright that's it, now the team is in my leadership, I lead us, we stay out of trouble, they follow you, the only road that leads is right to prison. But this is not about your pride or about winning the season, it's about protecting the girls and doing a good deed. If that means we let him on the team and helping him raise said funds, well then so be it right now. But we're still dealing with being hatched right now, my dad is a pro player." he said and the duo swallowed hard then.
"So there you go, starting now, you go down, leave us out of it they all agree with him and are you are you really starting a fight with our parents. Over the fact he knows what he's doing right now for the girls says here now in truth as this. Now in truth us the same as the fight to tell us to take off the jerseys and you're refusing to. But this is my father you're arguing with right now, my father is our coach when the coach is not here." he said and that did it then finally.
"Wait a second, Charlie, this is not about our parents, it's about the fact he's a..." Peter started to say and he shook his head. "A Hawk and coach's remark, that what you were going to say, you're such a hypocrite, you're a Hawk in a Duck jersey." Charlie said and they looked at him in shock then. "No you are a Hawk right now, the rest of us are willing to give him a chance, our families are risking losing our apartments for him right now."
"And you're not letting him get involved, because you don't want to lose your so called position, if these idiots refuse to lose one year. They are losers, they don't deserve to live, with that in mind, well that's you now, if you're acting like this, you are loser and you don't deserve to live." he said and they felt their hearts shatter at that remark. "And with it, well you heard the evidence, Adam is a good player, but he's in emotional turmoil here."
"Because of his sister's condition, but just who do you think you are, huh, who do you think you are right now. We are doing this whether you like it or not, our parents and we see thet losing our homes is worth her gaining a long extension. And remission in recovery, she's worth it, she is worth it now, but what is it. Just because you're a tough guy, you think you everyone's going to listen to you now, our parents, our families."
"They come first, over loyalty to the team." he said sternly and the duo paled at that remark. "So what's the big deal, the coach decided on a protection idea for the girls, ran it passed our parents they all agree with this. And you start a mutiny, as coach went on our parents opinion, and we with him, what if was your fathers and we agree with them. Are you still going to call us traitors for siding with your father right now in truth."
"When he is our coach now?" Fulton asked and they looked between them shaking then. "Expecting trouble, Connie?" Jesse asked and she grabbed the pillow and smacked him. "What, what I say?!" he asked and the sextet started laughing at that response. "You want to go at it, do it when we're not this close to you guys and we get hit. And you're busted buster, so watch it." Orion said and their parents started laughing at that gently.
"Oh my god, I feel like we were trying to corral them when they were Karen's age, before a pillow fight broke out between them." Goldberg said laughing at that and he nodded. "And this is a one month old duckling, try a 2 week old duckling what next exactly here, but they're not wired right now from extensive use of the caffeine or sugar. But if this is them normal, what happens if they got both?" Monroe asked and he nodded gently then.
"I'm not waiting around to find out right now." Orion told him gently at that question. "At least you never caught my tail feathers or I'm busted here." Charlie said and he hid a chuckle at his remark. "Tail feathers another word for that is behinds, but back feathers are your jerseys, but at this age is treating this like a line of ducklings now here. But keeping a grip on those back feathers now, because I'm trying to control you guys."
"Grade school, you guys are young ducklings, one week into being activated as your new name and just hatched so controlling what goes on in this team is a big thing. As I can't leave you alone for long, but I never stepped on those feathers. When you're bouncing off the walls now, but the older you get and the sterner I need to be here. And with that now, lucky thing you're not my daughter's age or trying to corral you is a big problem."
"Do I have to keep a grip on your back feathers till you stop acting like a duckling on too much caffeine here?" Orion said and the others started laughing at that remark, as Guy nudged Jesse and he smacked him in response then and then smiled. As he got ready to get her back for the blow she gave him. "Alright ducklings that's enough of that already right now." Gordon said and Tommy lowered his head as he tried to keep from laughing.
"Well two week old duckling is Karen, we're 1 month old ducklings now in truth, that controlling this is resulting in playing around." Charlie said in response then. "We're not kindergartners, then again just born ducklings are a case of getting out of hand. And especially if a fight breaks out between them, but just normal ducklings, ahh. Put the pillow down, I saw that." Connie said sternly as Jesse got ready to smack her back then.
"Jesse so help me, you hit me with that pillow, my name takes on a whole new meaning brother, put it down now." she said, looking at her surrogate brother with a warning look and Charlie, Averman, Guy, Goldberg and Fulton exchanged smiles. "Dead duck walking right now, and guys don't start right now, do it later." Charlie said as he tried to control his voice as Terry and the Duncans were shaking in laughter at this remark.
"Just wait till Spike meets Karen, while Ginger loves me like another kitten." he said and they heard a mew of agreement and Gordon started laughing. "Love you too, girl." he added and she gave a purr to him in response. "Well boy cat and little to preteen girl, or girl cat to said boy, they act like you belong to them only. So whoever the future spouse is, they need said cat's approval first." Claire said with a chuckle at that and Orion nodded smiling at that remark.
As Jesse dropped the pillow as Connie gave him a warning look and they heard an indignant meow and Charlie looked down to see her shake her head at that. 'Kitten stop dropping those on me, I been hit 5 times in a month.' he saw her thinking gently and give another meow to them in response and started laughing at that response. "Kitten, watch where you aim that pillow, it landed on top of me when you did that." Anna said to translate that meow then.
And Gordon started laughing at the translation as Charlie ran his hand through her head fur and she started purring as she jumped in his lap and curled up then. "How many times have you dropped those in forgetting she's about to jump on the couch?" Orion said smiling at that response. "Five, and sorry, girl." Jesse said, looking at her and she gave a mew. "It's okay, but kittens you're being kenneled if you keep that up." she said and they started laughing then at her remark.
"Drop it, drop the pillow, don't try it Jesse." Averman said as Tammy started laughing at that as Charlie covered his eyes as he, Terry and Fulton started laughing. "We gave her the name belted hammer, so this is what she meant, smack her. And she's hammering him into the couch right now." Charlie said and Gordon started laughing at that. "Just like your mother baby, whenever Jason started testing her patience she beat the heck."
"Now, out of him with the pillows till a pillow fight broke out between us when we were your age." Monroe said and she nodded, smiling. "Well this is like any normal parental gang, but that gig, we're not leaving you ducklings alone for long. And just acting like any normal class trip and the added is we're your guardians. Us and your tutor right now, and that's not if Jan gets involved." Orion said and they nodded smiling at that news.
"I wonder what a wild duckling is like, but if this is a normal duckling what happens if said took in too much caffeine?" Monroe's wife asked and Hall nodded in agreement. "That or too much sugar, and guys go easy on the soda and candy here, at least you're not kindergartners or the case of too much sugar is a big problem right now. And this is why we say no sweets, first thing in the morning, before school starts right now in truth."
"The things you guys get into right now, we're not leaving you alone for long, especially if you're wired here on whatever natural stimulate it is now." Anna said and they looked down as Charlie was trying to hide a smile. And as Orion ran his hand through his hair at the back of his head. "Issues with being your coach in addition to being your father, it's controlling the internal intake here, before you cross something that's dangerous."
"But son stay clear of the stimulates, or you're nested till you're clean here." he said and Charlie nodded to him. "That or just the alcohol, but mixing the two is a trip to the hospital waiting to happen right now in all truth here now. I maybe your coach, but I'm also your father, so stay clear of that junk, okay." he said and Charlie nodded to the orders gently. "Guys..." their parents all said together and the 9 all nodded to the orders.
"We just hatched and papa duck just made his claim." Charlie said and the 9 chuckled and nodded in agreement then. "I guess that's what the yellow stands for, duckling, we're ducklings and papa duck is trying to corral us right now." Tammy said smiling and he nodded. "You maybe preteen ducks, but I'm not letting you out of my sight if we got an away game, if we get picked for something, but guys, the first whatever it is now."
"And I get hit is getting the duckling that did it a severe case of torture here." Orion said and they nodded gently to that. "Well I know I'm leaving you guys in good hands if I got one thing or another going on, he's your parents best friend. So I just took the position of being the surrogate uncle in your cases and godfather in Charlie's." Gordon said and they nodded gently smiling as she answered him then at the remark then.
"Yeah we'll be fine Coach, you chose the best person posible to be our future coach." Connie said and they nodded in agreement. "We know the routine now, but for us, we knew him all our lives, this makes it a lot easier. We know where we're headed, we know his coaching strategies, this makes it alot easier right now. But they turn this into a movie, your own double has two movies he's got the third right now here in truth."
"And we're teenagers so this results in your standard catch, but we're being picked on by the seniors and the older brothers of our version. Because we beat them out of that JV slot right now and we won that wager fair and square. And we all had it and pulled out the big guns right now and our sum number with us." Averman said to that. "Yes well the little brats are really wearing my patience thin." Orion said sternly to that remark then.
"Yeah and in addition to being our coach, you're my father." Charlie said smiling sternly and he nodded. "Issues when you helped raise us for the next 9 years, we spent our entire lives with you always there in addition to our parents. That leaving for college after you been our coach for 6 of the 9 years. That to us, you're our father figure and we're not ready to let go, don't want to let go." Guy said as he realized it as he looked at him.
"We just hatched and though Coach is our current coach, we always followed you." Connie said and as they looked at their jerseys as they now saw the meaning behind the colors on them. "Like I said, to Reilly, but we could do this better and even blindfolded right now that when you're being the parent to your players. The ending results are they're ready to follow you into the infernal regions now, but this is what's like now."
"For military commanders, their officers or in this case players, love them, love, honor, respect and they can't remember the last commander they ever felt that for. But totally devoted to their mentor, this is what it means to be such a good coach and mentor. That your own subordinates are willing to follow whatever you tell them to do. And they'll follow you into the infernal regions if we asked them to." Gordon said and they nodded.
"After 5 losers in coaches we now got two we're willing to follow orders without thinking twice about it." Terry said and the sextet nodded in agrement to that. "And questioning orders or a decision, just what does that say after what he just did?" Charlie said and they nodded. "Can't trust them anymore, but we sure do, we trust his judgement, and we'd follow them into the flames if they asked us to." Goldberg said in response then.
"If Wilson is anything like Reilly, watch it guys, they're headhunting here." Charlie said and they all nodded quickly. "A coach is like a General, captain of the team is a Colonel, his leading you guys, that's when being a normal player comes into it. But you guys are listening to him, and me without thinking twice about it. Good teacher, good mentor, and in a way, Charlie's using what I taught you guys to lead you in the right direction now."
"But with me gone for something or other, you knew Ted longer then you knew me here in truth that you're combining what I taught you guys. With what he's teaching you leading into our next competition once I come home here." Gordon said and the sextet nodded gently. "And 18 months to 2 years we've beaten them repeatedly as they keep getting second place, you come home, and we got the whatever it is now here now."
"As just the 11 of us and then get our sum number of players and by then we're completely comfortable with him now." Fulton said and they nodded gently to that remark. "Issues in the side effects and you're right guys, but the peewees are one thing, but when your own parent is your coach, that lasts forever. As we took time in training you guys and since you were this age and you understand our lessons here now."
"And better then anyone that in the months and years, since I took over, you see me as your father or just uncle and instead of attachment, it's bonds of a family gang." Orion said to that and they nodded. "And that's just us, our sum number of players are getting used to you always around us, but sure you're strict. But then you got to be when you're teaching 8th grade to high school students." Jesse said then and he nodded gently then.
"We're throwing the first match if Jared's captain and team push us too far, as we prove dad's point, not the peewees, our tricks right now. They won't work at the level anymore we got to do a serious overhaul of the playbook guys. But no longer ducklings, we're teenage ducks and now we show what we're really capable of now. As we unload everything dad ever taught us, but an injury they just ticked you off completely." Charlie said and the group and Orion nodded sternly.
"Yeah just a few short hours and already you're sounding like Ted when we were your age right now, Buddy, I think you over did in his case right now." Hall said and he nodded as Charlie smiled then. "Yeah duckling, we're ducklings, 2.5 years we go white and after that we're teenage ducks and dad has us after that now. Not alone, though Coach left, we still have dad and nothing changes after this." Charlie said and they nodded then smiling.
"Time to return to the real title finally, not coach, but uncle, Uncle Ted now." Averman said and the team nodded in agreement to that remark as he smiled at the new title. "Expecting trouble?" Connie asked him and he started laughing. "No, but keep it up and I will baby, don't get smart with me here." Orion said and she nodded smiling as Charlie looked down at that as Averman was shaking in laughter at this conversation.
"And guys, keep away from the toxic chemicals or just the stimulates." He added and the team all nodded to the orders. "Nice wording Ted and at the moment if someone is screwing with the caffeine pills. Or worse, they're benched till they're clean, those are a trip to the hospital." Monroe said and he nodded firmly. "What comes with being a coach, and you're also a parent, but for me, parent all the time here, I got a good reason to be worried as you're my cubs."
"Parent first then coach, now don't push it here." he said and the 10 nodded gently and the duo paled then. "And that's father duck and father duck is trying to control his ducklings right now, and before our feathers change colors here now and before the flock is complete. But seriously, you ever consider why said father or mother duck has them following them. And all over the place, it's because soon they're leaving the nest, but that's a real duck right now."
"We're human ducks and we're ducklings, and I'm leader of the flock, but following father duck is not wrong when he's trying to protect our girl ducks. Till the oldest gets a brother duck to protect the girls and the rest of us are dealing with the added trouble. But father how about one of the other father ducks, you going to debate this now. No matter who in our fathers takes over as coach." he said sternly and they realized they had nothing then.
"Yeah Charlie you made your point." Connie said and Gordon shook his head then firmly. "Yeah I'd say you cracked finally, you want every word to be true right now in truth. And, so you can push me into marginalization, nice try it won't work, Peter, Karp. Starting now, in truth, because they heard the parts you never heard now, as for this. You say it's not about our parents, but about his being a Hawk, but the coach now does decisions on our parents opinion here."
"Outside of the school decision, but inside, he re-enforces our parents decisions, why..., well where are we 60% of the day?" he asked and they both went white, realizing they forgot that part. "But school, to practice to afternoon study sessions, or whatever we got, say music lessons, then home same pattern. Everyday, so the coach is picking us up from school for practice and then takes us home afterwards now here in truth starting now."
"The coach is our surrogate parent, but our parents trust him with our care, with us in the peewees now, but once inside and dad takes over. Dad can get in your parents heads to know just what the best option is, based on what he would do. For me, as he's a father, being a parent first over the coach at time, but grades. They matter more then athletics, in order to play, we have to keep up our grades, should we not attend school."
"We will not be eligible to play, just the way a coach in the school system thinks, you start failing a class you're benched till you get the grades up. And that's a total stranger, however dad, when in school and he's our coach now later. Well now, we become his permanent responsibility now, your parents give him details in what they decided. He re-enforces them, so you get grounded for the whatever it is, they tell him now in truth."
"And just as you decide to leave, he's reminding you of whatever they decided, so now what?" he asked and they swallowed hard. "Thank god you never get in trouble, but I'm not a stranger to you, but your father here now. So what your mother and I decide, I re-enforce now when you're under my coaching, kiddo. While for them, they remind me of something, I handle it now." Orion said gently and he nodded in agreement then smiling.
"Yeah and you're our best friend, we make decisions together and you handle it during the school day." Hall said in response and he nodded. "While for us, whatever's going on at work, we tell you, we're running late and then you hold practice. And till we get home and then you bring them home after school and practice here. So they're not who knows where, doing who knows what right now." Duncan said in response and he nodded then.
"Correlating the schedule, to make it so if our parents are running late, we still got adult supervision." he said and they swallowed. "There, thank you, that's just the point we're trying to make, right now son, you got it correctly. When in playing school sports, your coach is being told about said probation or why you're even on restriction. And for the whatever it is, and he re-enforces our decisions as he's your coach in truth here."
"So when we're not around, he's in charge here." Monroe said and they swallowed hard as he went further sternly. "So B's or better to play, or we're benched now, screw with the toxic chemicals same thing, right now. As messing with that stuff it does a lot of damage so what happens if you collapse at the wheel of the car. And in later years and he and your parents all decide the same thing." he asked and she covered her eyes then.
"You're in rehab, and they all decide the same thing, until you're clean, you're not playing you are never touching anything resembling alcohol. And till you're of age to, so what's the reason he's always riding your tail feathers right now?" he asked and they went white at that. "That's right, we catch you with contraband, the only trip you're taking is right to the medical hospital for a check up." Orion said sternly at that and they swallowed hard.
"So you say this is not about our parents?" he asked and they swallowed hard. "No it's about our parents, it is about our parents, it always was about our parents. As the coach is a parental substitute when we're alone with him, if on a trip out of town. For our next gig, who is it that our parents leave in charge now, hmm, who exactly. Because there is no excuse that can be said for this as you rebelled here because of that, his secret."
"And yes he was a Hawk, once, but it was because of Reilly he grew up hating the game he quit, because of Reilly, ex hawks now, ex hawks are no longer hawks. No matter what their past is, he's no longer a hawk and neither is dad." he said and they realized they had no valid argument at that remark. "What about the things he said, he said we were losers, we didn't deserve to live." he said, shaking in fear at the look on his face then.
"Still hanging on to a single sentence are we, well I can chalk that up to you don't want to believe anything, but the lie now." he said with a stern smile and they swallowed hard at that, realizing they had nothing in which to use to call him and Fulton a traitor now. "Yeah that's right, boys, nothing you say can erase what was shown to them, the evidence was set in stone, dad and coach are hawks no more, and neither will Adam."
"Now be, once he takes the offer, you have nothing that can be used to keep it like this til you take us down with you right now in detention. Coach is not a hawk, not anymore, he's a duck now, and he's always going to be a duck. And dad same thing here, but this is now a psychosis right now, you're convinced he's believing everything he says. To Reilly, so clearly we got to deactivate you." Charlie said and they went white, shaking.
"Nothing you say can change our minds, what's done is done and I get them the truth and you're trying to convince them here, he's not to be trusted. And I'm a traitor and Fulton with me, and simply because we sided with him and in extension, our parents." he said and they both started shaking then. "That's not it, we swear, Charlie!" he said desperately at the stern look on Orion's face then and Charlie nodded as he said it then.
"Then why call me a traitor, if it was their fathers who made this choice and newsflash, the coach is my godfather." he said sternly and they both went white in shock. "A godparent is the second legal guardian behind the parents right now. So I wasn't siding with a normal coach or adult, but my parents best friend, my godfather. It's not wrong to side with a surrogate parent, real now or just a trusted adult, but if that's what you really think now."
"Then I think it's high time you leave the team, we can get by on 10 or 11 if he decides to take the offer right now." he said and he swallowed hard at that remark. "Just being logical right now in truth, I don't see it as siding with an adult right now. But my mentor, but a mentor is the same as a godparent, they fill in the same position now. Separated from the parents and mentor, or godparent is the legal guardian right now in truth."
"But though we got a bond as student and mentor, it's completely different with my father now. Coach, mentor, father, everything I need is in them, who matters more to me, if they created a book on this. But what is a mentor, tell me, just what is a mentor, instead of being an athlete, what if he was a cop, federal agent, military officer. What then, training me from the time I was this age to when we complete basic now."
"Separated from your parents, what's the next best thing?" he asked and they paled, realizing it wasn't about the team at all. "This is why Crusher loved Riker as a mentor, he's dad and he and Picard were the ones training him. He used everything they taught him in the case of Etana taking control of the ship. Afterwards, what if he broke his ankle after he landed that hard in the shaft, what's their next reaction here in truth now."
"Their puppetmaster barely killed their student." he asked and they paled at his remark and the duo nodded sternly in agreement. "Deadman walking." Goldberg said and Orion nodded sternly in agrement to that. "And to answer that question, a mentor is a parental substitute in training, we become everything you need right now. From a parent to a teacher, at times even a doctor if you're a med tech." Orion said gently to that remark.
"And that's why it's hard to let go as the training comes to an end, your mentor is your parent now, not ready to let go, you don't want to let go. You feel like a cub still, and they became your parent, as basic comes to an end now. If you're a cadet, the unit goes their separate ways and afterwards now, though keeping in touch. The life you lead as a cadet changes as you get a new boss and mentor." Charlie said and he sighed at that.
"This is why it's so hard to change coaches if you never knew who the new one really was to you, before you went under them. Now, just learning I find him this soon that's fine, Coach passes us to him, that's okay, he's familiar to us. Not a stranger, but just say we were going to the academy completely clueless of what we're getting into. We don't know who he really is and to us, he was a drill instructor, till one of us now in truth."
"Sees his personal life, while the others stop resisting his training and let him in finally and the barriers are let down finally. Knowing training is however long before you switch again now, you switched teachers and once you let him in. And just grown attached to the new one, and feeling like you lost a parent or in this case adoptive parent." he said and the sextet exchanged pained looks as Connie said it softly then to the possibility.
"Don't want a new one, I want him for the entire 5 years of our time at the academy." she said and the quintet nodded in agreement to her thoughts. "Coach was our first, the first we really let in, things change after his conversation with me. We take on a new name and the barriers are let down finally, but dad, he knew. He knew everything about us, he's been training us for years, before he becomes our new one now, that helps."
"So coach leaves, and dad takes over, we know the routine, we know his teaching strategies, we can do this, so sure new teachers and coach. But not new at all, he knew us for years, and is familiar to us now, nothing's changed. In fact it never changed at all, so sure new school, new teachers, new friends, but that's okay. It's fine, as we got each other, we got each other, we got him, nothing changed at all right now here, guys."
"But college or basic training, you're not alone, if one of your friends comes along right now and you know the mentor. The person training you, he or she is someone you know, that you know what you have to look forward to reminiscence. And about everything you guys remember together, just what is the big deal guys, huh, what. Coach and mentor, could be anything: that person if you knew them all your life right now in truth."
"Is everything you need them to be now, but it won't last forever, so enjoy this while it lasts right now, enjoy your time together. As what Coach would have told me is not needed as I know who he is to me, we're still us, we're getting older, but still us. I don't know why you're resisting in lettng in any adult right now in truth here. But the point I'm trying to make right now, is that when your parents are not around at the moment."
"As you just left the nest and are your own, as you meet the person who's in charge of you now as a player, so no parent now. Just what is the next best thing, but a trip like this next movie when we get your replacements. And we're gone for a few weeks, who's the one in charge here right now, we're separated from our parents. But what happens when it's you got him around all the time?" he asked and they swallowed hard at that.
"We become the parent now, when on away games, or just field-trips out of the country, so though it's a school trip, if the coach is along for the trip. Then we still remain in charge of you, but if the parent is the said coach now in truth. It's parental supervised now and you don't mind as this is a parent/cub trip when out of town together." Orion said gently and he nodded as he looked at him with the love of a son to his father.
"And in general opinion here that though I'm your coach, your father is the real one in charge as we're counting the days till you're under his leadership." Gordon said gently and he nodded. "Yeah games are fun, but so is training, and when it comes time for the game, well then it's time to get down to business." he said smiling and they smiled proudly at his direct opinion at that remark then gently as Hall hid a chuckle then.
"Well though you're our head coach, dad's been training me for years, if this was Carter's own son, I'm him in hockey form now." he said and they chuckled and nodded smiling. "Nice way to put it, he's your age, but 4 years it's added trouble, but that's Richmond this is Minneapolis, and I've been training you, since you guys were 10. I'm your coach, before I take on the job for real here now." Orion said, smiling then as he looked at him.
"So what could be the difference, sure if he was a soldier now training us, as we learn everything a real soldier did, as the shields come down. He starts warming up to you, and soon your barriers are let down and then comes a heart to heart talk. And that's it as he lets you in and you let him in and he becomes everything you need now. Can't just hold it in forever, the emotional shields have to come down sooner or later here now."
"As days turn into weeks, weeks to months, months to years and soon that bond is not student/teacher, but cub/parent now." he said and they looked down and realized it as he looked between them sternly as he went further at that remark. "But what if your parent was your teacher, now what exactly, you love your mentor like a parent. But what if your parent was your mentor now, as you can't lose them, and don't want to let go here."
"But you know have to, sure toughest teacher I ever had, but that's what I love about him, perfection means survival if he was federal and country protection. Taught me everything in my life that is worth knowing now, your parent is not your coach. Do you understand what I'm saying here, just a few hours, I learn the truth now. And yes I love the coach, he's a great mentor, but switching from him to my father right now in truth."
"Dad's been training me for 4 years now and frankly this helps right now as we prepare for starting at the academy now. You make me choose between the team, to my father, my mentor. Something you have no right to do, as it's always going to be my father, always. So call me a traitor if you want, doesn't matter, I never went against my father before and I will not now." he said sternly and they swallowed hard at that remark then.
"This is where family ties are stronger then team, but for some of us, the 6 of us are a family gang, we didn't meet you till last year right now. The rest of us are were raised together since we were cubs, so tell me, just who is it. That the others are going to side with here, over you idiots?" he asked sternly and the sextet crossed their arms. "Yeah that's right, it's going to my family, we lead the gang here in truth Peter, in truth."
"You barely know us and we were born and raised together, it never mattered now here, so to us, we're going to be a single group together. So what now, as my father is running the team when the coach is not here, you going to be like this. With him, no matter what he says as the rest of us don't mind his temper, training strategies. And whatever else, because he's not going to take or tolerate it now." Charlie said sternly then to Peter then.
"He's my father, to me, dad means more then both of you together, you idiot, in truth now here. You know if they ever put this into a Starwars, and Vader is forced by his version of you idiots, between choosing telling the truth. Or keeping your secret, he chooses Ben immediately, I know I would." he said and the duo paled at that. "Ben is the closest thing Vader had to a father, before he fell to the darkside right now here."
"Just what is the darn problem huh, we choose our parents we're automatically traitors, is that it right now?" Averman asked sternly at the remark and they both went white. "I don't think you realize this young man, but when outside of the school system. A coach, or troop leader is your guardian when on away games or training right now. But inside the school system now, we are responsible for you kids now in truth here now."
"So my job as coach means checking for injuries, keeping a clean, healthy training environment for you, training sessions with you guys. Your parents trust me with your care, so anything happens to one of you, I got to tell them immediately. But what if I knew you guys all your life, my others were total strangers, but you now. You're my surrogate cubs, the children of my best friends, they trust me here to look after you."
"And then there's Charlie, you surrogate, he's real and to me, I have to make sure, if something happens, I got to get him to the hospital. And then call his mother, joint custody arrangements, but the sport is so dangerous. That he gets hit in the right place, it could break or puncture something, it does, and he need surgery. Especially if it nails his appendix right now in truth." Orion said sternly and he swallowed hard at his remark.
"But young man, we're borderline 31 years old, I just retired from pro hockey and begun training kids your age to high school for college age hockey. This is my second year training at the academy, I know what Charlie wants right now in truth. It's to play for me, his father and there is nothing wrong with that right now in truth here. But I spent 4 years leading into the 8th grade training him and he's become so good right now."
"Though Gordon is head coach, as of right now, I'm his real coach, as I train him, leading into the academy and then I take over." he said and Charlie finished the reprimand. "A coach is a stand in parent and being our leader, so we side with our coach. We side with our parents and to you, we're a traitor, why exactly, hmm why here exactly. Our parents that raised us, taught us everything on our life that is worth knowing right now?"
"And dad just happens to be a high school teacher, but coach, teacher, my father, I got 3 in 1 with him. And dad what class do you teach exactly if you work at the academy?" he asked and he nodded. "I'm a science teacher actually, chemistry in truth right now, so that tank you hijack to pay back Jared's team mates, that's from my lab." he said and they nodded as Connie tried to keep from laughing at that and he nodded, bemused.
"Yeah just tick them off further till they don't realize we set the trap and they fall right into it." Guy said laughing and he nodded smiling. "You bonehead, remember what you said after we told you how that last one crashed, coach?" Charlie asked and he nodded. "The idiot had a heart attack, Ted, and this was before I got them through basic training, so they can actually pull it off now." Gordon said and he shook his head sternly at that.
"What was this guy's surname?" he asked and Charlie shook his head. "A Richard Peterson, you know him?" he asked and they both nodded. "Rick, god man, how much did you have have over the years, if you had a heart attack here. Rick, winning isn't everything, it's not whether you win or lose, it's how you play the game here right now. It's just a game, games should be fun, as should training, but there it is now."
"Alright, after two blown games we were making progress and then you hear I was once a Hawk, but I gave up everything he ever taught me and changed into this me. Ted with me and here we stand." Gordon said and he nodded as the duo looked at him in shock. "Rick Peterson was defense on the team in 1973." Orion said gently and he nodded. "Well we only had 10 teams, till district 5 got a new name and became the Ducks now."
"So the District 5 Mighty Ducks team, you better stand back or we throw everything we got in our arsenal at you right now, but adult Hawks. As you said time and time again, winning isn't everything." Charlie said and they nodded. "Yeah he was also a Hawk in my generation, but I guess they're trying to uphold what Reilly brainwashed them with. Like I said any Hawk that grew up, it's always winning right now, but to us right now."
"Is that it's not whether you win or lose, but how you play the games, but if that guy's still at the hospital right now, or was he released, because I intend to have a firm talk. And with these guys, but the duo on the North Stars, they're like us right now, winning isn't everything, it's not whether you win or lose, but how you play the game. But just why were you drinking, are you trying to get arrested." Orion said sternly and he nodded.
"Well thank god you guys took his place, what if he's so loaded he hurts one of the girls and we find out about it?" Monroe said sternly and Orion nodded. " And touch my cubs you're a dead man, so keep your hands off of them, in truth. But if this guy was abusive, but if a heart attack doesn't put this loser in the hospital we would have now. If he ever lays a hand on you guys like this right now." Hall said sternly and their parents nodded.
"He didn't dad, but after that happened they chose the coach and here we stand now." Jesse said to him and he nodded then. "And the only reason said hockey puck would get thrown into the bulliten board is if one of us had a reaction. Here said enough to tick him off completely, it's not that we lost or tied the game right now. It's my reaction or whoever's was uncalled for here." Charlie said and Orion nodded in agreement sternly.
"That and while you're trying to get the last shot in, no one is at the goal to make sure it goes in, but how long does take to score a goal. That's less then a second, but no lead is safe if you can't play defense, but remember. It's not how many you make, it's insuring that the only score on the other end is zero, as in shut out." he said and they nodded. "That's not my fault, just where has the defense gone." Charlie said and he nodded then.
"You're right, say you destroying your hockey stick at the whatever score we had with the opposing team and just where the heck is the defense. As the latest one goes into your hockey stick and destroys it now finally here in truth. But it's not that we lost or tied the game I'm beyond ticked off at, but that reaction. In our opinion, that's your mother's and my direction opinion now, that was completely uncalled for right now in truth here."
"And to repeat your mother right now, we just watched you jeopardize your hockey career we will not allow you to do it to your studies." he said and then said it sternly then, as he repeated his girlfriend's opinion as he looked between the duo. "Frankly your parents don't care in just who your coach is here, it doesn't matter here. If it's me or Gordon, but your reaction out there was juvenile, because Coach whoever between us."
"Nothing, you used to feel the same about Gordon you would have or you're faking it with me, so I think. Now, that the only thing that needs to change here, is your attitude problem, right now." he said sternly and the duo swallowed hard at that and Charlie nodded. "And that's just Casey, the rest of us see this the same way guys." Hall said sternly to that. "All stage acting, dad." he said and Orion nodded smiling gently then.
"So I know you're faking it here, you're pretending to be Marks till they try to revoke those scholarships?" he asked and Charlie nodded gently. "Yep, and they'll never see it coming, but our bond, 4 years together, of course there's a problem. But at that age what else, we're trapped between being cubs and adults here now. That not quite ready to let go of who we used to be yet." he said and Orion nodded in agreement then gently.
"Or is that the problem young man, get rid of the one thing that keeps him like this and pushes him over the edge?" he growled and Peter went white at that remark. "There it is, keeps driving away our coaches, so we have no type of authority, and Charlie never grows close. And to a good one till he turns into said perfect coach and he challenges him to leadership of the team." Jesse growled and the duo swallowed hard at that, realizing now he was screwed at that remark.
"And instead your brothers walk right into me and he changes so quickly, he actually challenged said rival alpha to a showdown of leader of the 12 of you." he said and Charlie nodded in stern agreement as he leaned his head into his shoulder. "But there it is, Gordon may leave, but I'm here, our relationship gets stronger every year as get older. But coach or not now, what matters more to you is my being your father, you always have me there as you grow up now finally."
"You stay you, you become a man I'm beyond proud of here now, going to be fine buddy, I'll always be here no matter what now." he said and Charlie nodded smiling gently then. 'Yeah I'm leaving him in good hands now, he's going to be just fine as he grows up now.' Gordon thought, smiling, knowing he never had to worry about leaving him, or the 10 now. Because his best friend was there keeping thing up as they grew up then in relief then.
