A/N: So the original plan I had for this chapter was pretty good, but I wasn't getting any inspiration to write it. So I suddenly got a new idea and it became this chapter. I've had almost no inspiration for so long, so this chapter isn't nearly as good as I'd like it to be. But it's the best I could do and I hope you all like it. I also have Di's outfit posted on pinterest, so look at that too please.
"I have to go! He said one hour."
The Doctor smiled and cupped my face in his hands. He gently rubbed his thumbs across my skin and let his head fall forward to rest against mine. "It hasn't been an hour yet," he whispered against my lips.
"Theta…"
He tilted his head to the side and pulled me into a kiss. I rested my hands against his chest and leaned into the kiss. Somewhere in the distance, the sound of the TARDIS materializing echoed. The Doctor pulled back a moment later, a brilliant smile on his face.
"Okay, now you can go," he told me, playfully tapping a finger against my nose. He grabbed me by the shoulders and turned me around, then gave me a light push forward. "Go!"
I ran off across the street and down the sidewalk towards the source of the noise. Sure enough, just a block away from the Pond's flat was the TARDIS. I grinned and felt a spark of energy in my chest. I ran to the door and pushed it open, giving the ship a pat on the door with my hand.
The Doctor was leaning against the console with his hands spread behind him to support himself. He smiled when I opened the door and gestured excitedly for me to come in. I closed the door behind me and ran to his side, feeling a sudden bounce in my step. After dinner with the Ponds and everyone else, I was feeling a little more like my usual self.
"So," I started.
The Doctor extended his arm and took one of my hands in his, tugging me towards him. "So, I've thought of the perfect place to take you," he replied with a smile.
"And where's that?"
"Narnia."
I paused for a moment, staring at the Doctor in confusion. "Uh… You do know that Narnia isn't real, right?" I clarified.
The Doctor grinned and wrapped his arms around my waist, tugging me against him just like his older self had done minutes ago. "Not the Narnia that C. S. Lewis wrote about. But there's another Narnia, a real Narnia."
"Are you serious?" I asked as my jaw fell open.
"Rarely. But I am telling the truth, if that's what you mean."
"Take me!" I exclaimed, jumping out of his arms to bob excitedly on my toes. "Go on! Don't just stand there and smirk at me. Actually take me!"
The Doctor reached out a hand for the dematerialization lever, his fingers tapping lightly against the metal. "The coordinates are already laid in," he told me. "Are you ready?"
I nodded and giggled in excitement. "You bet I am."
"Here we go!"
He pulled on the lever and the TARDIS let out a long wheeze, sending us off into the time vortex. I stepped forward and grabbed onto the edge of the console as the ship spun and flipped in space. The Doctor was laughing and we were both being thrown from side to side until the TARDIS finally landed.
The ship had barely landed before I was bursting out of the doors, ready to see Narnia with my own eyes. I wasn't disappointed; beyond the TARDIS doors was a lush, beautiful world full of the most vibrant colors I had ever seen in my life. Dozens of butterflies were buzzing through the air and I could hear and smell the ocean nearby. Grass and tress stretched out to the horizon on one side and on the other was more grass, then a cliff, and then the brilliant, blue ocean.
The Doctor stepped out of the TARDIS, his hands clasped behind his back. "So? What do you think?" he wondered.
"I think…" I looked over my shoulder at him and grinned. "I think that this is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen."
"Would you like to explore?"
"Is it dangerous?" I asked cautiously. "Because you said-"
"It's perfectly safe. I promise. I've been here before."
"Then let's go!"
The Doctor grabbed my hand and started running for the thicket of trees straight ahead of us. When we reached the edge of the trees, the Doctor suddenly stopped and pulled me to a stop as well.
"Just like the Narnia you know on Earth, this Narnia is magical too," he told me. "Things happen here that should be impossible, but somehow they're all possible here. Now are you ready?"
"Doctor," I sighed, "of course I'm ready. Why do you have to keep asking?"
"Because of this."
He suddenly dropped my hand and pushed me forward into the trees. I stumbled forward, tripping over a tree root, and let out a startled gasp. I was about to protest and ask why he was suddenly pushing me around when I saw something that should have been impossible: snow.
The sun was shining and there were hardly any clouds in the sky. But inside the forest, there was snow. Light, fluffy snowflakes were falling from somewhere in the treetops and had already created a light blanket of white over the ground.
"But it's… Doctor, it's snowing. How is that possible?"
The Doctor had stepped past the tree line and he flashed me a smile. "It would ruin the magic if I told you."
I looked back up, trying to see the sky through the treetops but could only spot glimpses of sunlight streaming through the leaves. The snow was falling endlessly and I stuck out my hand to catch some of it in my hand.
"It's cold," I noted. "The snow, it's cold but the weather itself is normal."
"I told you, Diana, it's Narnia. It's impossible."
I suddenly felt a streak of childishness come out of nowhere and I jumped forward, sticking my tongue out to catch the snow and bouncing around to leave mushy footprints behind me. The Doctor merely chuckled and watched me as I leapt across the forest floor.
Dinner with the Ponds had helped me clear my mind of some of the things that had been worrying me and as a result, I felt much more like my normal self. I felt almost carefree because I knew my daughter was alright and that the Doctor was alright and, most importantly, that I was alright.
The Doctor lightly tugged on my sleeve and pointed to the ceiling of the cave. "Look up," he instructed.
"Are those… fairies?"
"Yes. Narnia's full of magical creatures. You name it, they have it. Er, probably. Unless it's bad, then they probably don't have it."
"They're so beautiful. Look at all the different colors!" I pointed to one of the larger fairies in awe. "Look at that one! That's the most beautiful shade of purple I've ever seen. And that one! Oh Doctor, it looks like an emerald! Look, look!"
A few of the fairies I had pointed at flew down from the ceiling and hovered around me, chattering indistinctly. They had fine, beautiful features and were of both genders and their voices sounded like wind chimes blowing in a gentle breeze.
"They seem to like you," the Doctor said when a lilac fairy landed on my shoulder and smiled at me.
"And you," I noted as three little fairies began flitting around his head.
At first I couldn't understand the creatures' chattering, but then the TARDIS translator kicked in and I began to comprehend what they were saying.
"Look at her hair," the lilac fairy chirped. "It's like the bark of a mighty oak!"
"No, no, her eyes are the more flattering feature!" insisted a tiny fair the color of a sunflower. "Look at how many shades of green and brown are in her eyes! See, right by her iris her eyes are the color of a chestnut. And then they turn gold like the sunset and then… green like the forest!"
"No, no, no!" cried a rose red fairy. "Her nose is certainly the best feature. Look at how round it is! It's absolutely wonderful!"
I looked back at the Doctor in surprise. "They're complimenting me?"
"Why wouldn't we?" asked another fairy, this one a bright violet-blue like a hydrangea. "We are fairies of goodness and kindness and we strive only to reveal the beautiful qualities of others."
I smiled and laughed. "Have they been complimenting you too?" I asked the Doctor.
He glanced over at me and I saw that his cheeks had flushed pink. "Apparently my hair is very nice," he mumbled shyly.
"It is nice," I replied with a grin.
"Is it? I was thinking of cutting it."
"No! Don't do that! I love your hair."
"Last one in the water has to cook dinner!" I shouted as I bolted for the waves.
"Hey! That's cheating!"
I ran through the sand with a laugh and looked over my shoulder to see the Doctor trying to run after me and failing miserably. He didn't seem to be used to sand or to running in it, so I slowed down to a quick walking pace.
"You coming, slowpoke?"
"I'm… having some… difficulties," he said through gritted teeth as he tried to stomp through the sand.
I glanced back at the ocean and smirked. "Well as long as this incarnation doesn't have a tendency to burn food, I don't think I mind that you're making it."
The Doctor narrowed his eyes at me and shook his head. "Diana, I'm a part-time amnesiac. I'm lucky if I don't set the whole kitchen on fire."
I shuffled forward, kicking up little piles of sand as I went. The Doctor was slowly catching up to me. "So we should probably go out for dinner, huh?" I suggested.
"Not unless you let me win."
"Fat chance." I turned and dashed forward with a laugh. I ran right into the oncoming waves, splashing into the water until I was up to my knees. "So, any restaurant suggestions, Theta?"
"Not yet," he grumbled.
"Aww, don't frown at me. It's not my fault that you're challenged by sand."
Something suddenly grabbed me by the ankle and just seconds later, I was on my back in the water. I screamed in panic, thinking it was some dangerous sea creature trying to drown me, but I froze in shock when I saw a beautiful mermaid a few feet away in the water.
The Doctor was laughing outrageously and the mermaid was grinning mischievously at me. She had long, beautiful blue and purple hair that fell to her hips in tight, damp curls. She splashed her light purple tail in the water, the sunlight shimmering on her scales for just a few moments. Her skin was a very pale blue color that brought out the green in her green-blue eyes.
"Hello, Diana," the mermaid said in a lovely melodic voice.
"H-How do you know my name?" I stammered as another wave rolled over my body.
The mermaid glanced behind me in confusion, and then suddenly looked back at me. "You haven't been here before," she finally realized.
I shook my head. "No. Um, do I know you?"
"Not yet, it would seem." The mermaid smiled and flicked her tail again. "My name is Perla."
"It's… nice to meet you, Perla." I smiled politely and stood up, my clothes completely soaked through. "I'm guessing we're good friends at some point?"
"We are. It is also good to see your Doctor again." The Doctor had finally made it through the sand and he stood beside me, grabbing at my hand. "I see you're worse with sand this time around."
" 'This time around'?" I repeated. "You know he can regenerate?"
"Yes. Like I have been with you, the Doctor and I have been good friends for many years."
"How long?"
Perla smirked and shook her head. "Spoilers, Diana. You told me long ago never to reveal any spoilers and I still hold that promise."
"Damn my future self," I grumbled.
The Doctor, Perla, and I ended up sitting on the beach and talking. Because Perla was a mermaid the Doctor and I had to sit close to the water, but Perla sat in the shallow end of the water so we wouldn't get too wet. Perla told us about what had happened since the last time the Doctor had visited with a future me.
"Do you remember Clarice?" Perla asked.
The Doctor smiled and nodded. "She was the red one, wasn't she?"
Perla nodded and grinned. "Well, she and I got married just six months ago! We even have our own place by the reefs. We're thinking of adopting her little cousin now that the little one's parents have passed on."
"I wish the two of you the best of luck," the Doctor replied with a genuine smile.
It was then that I felt a strange burning sensation that I hadn't felt for months. I gasped and withdrew quickly from the Doctor's embrace, pulling my hand out of his and forcing myself to stand.
"Diana? What are you doing? What's wrong?"
I shook my head as the feeling of being burned began to spread across my body and my right arm began to ache. The burning sensation suddenly stopped and I felt as if my body had been doused in ice water.
"Theta… My arm," I gasped. "From when the Auton shot me. It's acting up again. It… It hasn't done this in months."
The Doctor jumped to his feet and Perla flicked her tail nervously. "Is she leaving?" the mermaid wondered, looking back and forth between the Doctor and I.
"I think so." The Doctor took my left hand and lightly squeezed it. "Diana? I know this hurts right now, but it will pass."
"But why is my arm hurting? This feeling… I haven't felt it since my first Christmas with you!"
The Doctor smiled sadly and leaned forward to kiss my forehead. "Sometimes the pain comes back when you leave, but most of the time it's dormant. We can't predict it. It comes and goes."
"So… Does this mean I'm leaving?"
"Yes."
I looked at Perla for a moment, already finding myself enjoying her company. "But I don't want to go! This was supposed to be our day," I protested as I glanced back at the Time Lord. "This was supposed to be a good day."
"It was," the Doctor answered as he gently cupped my cheek. "Now let go, Diana. I know you're fighting it. You can leave now."
"But Theta-"
"Go. It's going to be alright."
I felt my eyes sting with tears and I leaned forward to kiss the Time Lord one last time before I left him again. My eye fluttered open after I pulled away, but by then Narnia had started to fade away and was quickly turning into the vortex.
I closed my eyes again and let a few tears fall. I had come to greatly dislike the vortex during my time in the Doctor's universe because the vortex meant being alone without the Doctor or the TARDIS, it meant being lost and feeling empty. Of course it was beautiful since I could see the whole of the universe spread out before me, but I was still scared and alone.
Just sleep, I told myself. Just go to sleep and it'll be gone soon.
The next time my eyes opened, I was in a strange bed in a room I hadn't seen before. Terrified and confused, I sat up and jumped out of the bed with a stifled gasp. In my panic, I failed to see the woman sleeping in the chair beside the bed and I ended up falling right on top of her.
I inhaled sharply and quickly fell backwards, stumbling back so my legs hit the bed and I fell back on the mattress with a thud. The woman shrieked in surprise and jolted out of her seat.
"Sarah?" I exclaimed incredulously.
"What on Earth are you doing?" she asked, a hand over her heart.
"I-I-I… I woke up and I didn't know where I was and I jumped out of bed and I sort of fell… on you."
Sarah Jane smiled and shook her head. "You terrified me," she sighed. "But never mind that. You're finally awake."
"Finally? How long have I been asleep?"
"Only a few hours. Ten, I think. Where were you last?"
I rubbed my hand against my forehead and yawned a little. "Um, future, I guess. I was in 2011, then the Doctor took me to Narnia and-"
"Narnia?"
"Oh, yeah. Apparently it's real." I shrugged my shoulders and smiled. "Complete with fairies and mermaids and magical snow."
Sarah sat back down in her chair, exhaling through her nose. She ran a hand over her face and then lightly rubbed her eyes. "Once again, the Doctor does the impossible," she mumbled with a tiny smile.
"You know, the last time I saw you in was when we defeated Sutekh."
Sarah raised her eyebrows and her eyes widened. "That was a long time ago, Diana. Thirty-four years ago. A lot's changed since then."
"I know."
"Erm, speaking of change… There's something going on tomorrow that you need to know about."
I noticed the slight change in Sarah's tone and I wondered if maybe something bad had happened. "What is it? Is everything okay?"
"Oh." Sarah smiled and her eyes suddenly seemed distant. "Everything's wonderful, Diana. I'm getting married."
"What?"
A hundred different thoughts ran through my mind as I tried to place where in Sarah Jane's timeline I had found myself. And although I didn't remember much of anything, I did know that something bad was going to happen at the wedding and it would deeply hurt Sarah. I only wished I could recall what it was.
"M-Married?"
Sarah nodded. "Yes. His name's Peter Dalton and he's wonderful. Look at the ring he gave me," she said excitedly, extending her arm to show me the ring on her finger.
"I-It's… very nice, Sarah," I stammered, forcing a smile onto my face.
"And I want you to be there. At the wedding. I want you to be my maid of honor."
Now that, I hadn't been expecting. "Wait, really?"
"Of course. You're my best friend and I love you dearly. If you don't leave before tomorrow, I would love for you to come. Please?"
I smiled and grabbed Sarah's hand. "Sarah Jane Smith, it would be an honor to come to your wedding." I knew this would break her heart, but she was so happy and so excited for me to come that I couldn't make myself say no.
I stepped out of the dressing room with my hands on my hips. "Okay, what do you think of this one?" I asked the two women sitting just outside the room.
Rani chewed thoughtfully on her lip while Sarah furrowed her brows in thought. I turned around once, moving slowly so they could see the way the dress looked on me at all angles.
"It's alright, I guess," Rani sighed.
"It's my fifth one," I grumbled. "I really don't want to try on another one. Do you guys at least like the shoes?"
I fully extended one leg to show them the shoes I had picked out. They were white peep toe pumps with a single white bow by the toes on each shoe. The heel was tall enough to be fancy but not so tall that I would fall and break my neck if and when running occurred.
Rani smiled and nodded. "I think you should keep the shoes. What do you think, Sarah Jane?"
The bride-to-be nodded in agreement. "Yes, I like them. They look very nice on you. But you need a different dress."
"Let's try a different color," Rani suggested. "You like blue, right, Diana? How about a blue one instead of the yellow?"
"Sounds good to me. Sarah?"
Sarah nodded and pushed herself to her feet. "Go take the dress of and I'll find a dress for you. There's one I saw earlier that I think you should try on."
I waited in the dressing room and took the dress from over the door when Sarah returned a few minutes later. I took off the previous dress and placed it on its hanger before slipping on the new one. Immediately after I put it on, I knew it was the one.
"Guys, I think this one's it," I called. "Tell me what you think."
When I stepped out, Sarah and Rani burst into smiles. I looked down at my dress and spun around for them. The dress was a pale periwinkle blue color and fashioned predominately out of lace. The three-quarter sleeves were see-through lace, but the rest of the dress had a tan color fabric beneath the lace so you couldn't see anything. The hemline reached a few inches above my knees with two inches of lace hanging below it and the neckline was a modest scoop neck.
"Try it with the shoes!" Rani said excitedly.
I hurried back into the stall to grab the shoes and I slipped them on. "Okay. Now how do I look?" I asked again.
Sarah stood up and drew me into a hug. "You look perfect," she told me. "This is absolutely perfect."
Rani nodded and stood up as well to get a closer look at the dress. "You look beautiful, Diana. This color suits you. And it looks great with the shoes."
"Take it all off," Sarah instructed, "and I'll buy it for you."
"Oh, Sarah! You don't have to-"
"I want to. This is my gift to you."
"But it's your wedding," I protested. "I should be the one giving you gifts, not the other way around."
Sarah only smiled. "You can't convince me otherwise. We're getting this dress and these shoes, whether you approve of me paying for it or not."
Rani laughed to herself and shook her head. "Clyde's going to be speechless when he sees you, Diana."
"He is? Why's that?"
"Oh, that's right. You haven't met him yet." Rani looked at Sarah and the two seemed amused by something. "You don't know about him, do you?"
"Know what?"
"Clyde has a crush on you," Rani finally told me. "He has for years now."
"Oh no."
Rani smirked and Sarah smiled. "Oh yes," the young woman replied.
The Wedding Day
"Sarah, you look absolutely beautiful," I said as tears came to my eyes. I smiled and shook my head, pulling the woman into a tight embrace. "My best friend's getting married."
"Oh, don't cry," she whispered into my hair. "I'll start too."
"Sorry, sorry."
I pulled away and took a few steps back so I could look Sarah up and down. Rani and I had helped her with her hair and dress and the end was result left me completely speechless. Sarah looked stunning in her simple white dress, white gloves, and her hair curled just so.
"Diana's right, you look amazing," Rani added with a smile.
"Oh, I'm just a little dressed up," Sarah protested. "Just look at the two of you."
Rani was wearing a bright pink dress with a modest neckline, short, puffy sleeves, and a hemline that brushed her knees. She had pink flats the same shade as her dress and her hair had been straightened and pulled back into a half ponytail with two strands of hair curled by her temples.
I was wearing the dress and shoes Sarah had bought for me and she and Rani had helped me with my hair so it was in loose waves down my back. I was borrowing a pale blue clutch from Rani so I could keep my phone close by in case anything was to happen.
"I think we're done," Rani said as she looked between Sarah and I. "Are you ready, Sarah Jane?"
The woman smiled and nodded, smoothing her hands over her stomach. "Yes. Yes, I think I am."
Rani and I grabbed our bouquets of flowers before handing Sarah her own bouquet. We walked with her out to the car outside her house and helped her inside before Rani and I then filled in the seats on either side of her. As soon as we had buckled ourselves in, the driver started the car and drove off.
The ride was mostly quiet, although Rani could barely sit still because she was so excited. I could tell that Sarah was a little nervous by the way she fidgeted with the flowers, then her gloves, and then the seatbelt.
"It's gonna be fine," I assured her, even though I knew it probably wasn't.
"I know," Sarah muttered. "I still can't help being a little nervous."
"Weddings are nerve wracking for everyone, I think."
"I only wish that the Brigadier could have come," she sighed. "He's stuck in Peru on some sort of mission."
"What about Harry?"
Sarah turned to look at me in surprise. "You don't know?" she asked in surprise.
"Know what?"
"Harry died."
"What? No, you're wrong. He's fine."
Sarah shook her head seriously. "I'm sorry, Diana. Harry died two years ago in 2007."
"H-How can he be dead? That's… That's not right."
She put one hand on my knee and I could just see the glimmer of tears in her eyes through my own tears. "I'm sorry. I wish you would have found out under better circumstances."
I quickly turned my head to look out the window and ran a hand under my eyes to dry my tears. "No, it's… it's fine. It's not your fault."
There were a few moments of tense silence afterwards until Rani suddenly spoke up. She began a light, awkward conversation with Sarah and the two left me alone to deal with my thoughts. I knew I would be fine later on, but learning about Harry's death was yet another thing I had not expected.
When the car finally pulled up to the hotel where Sarah's wedding was to take place, I had managed to get my emotions under control. My head was spinning with guilt and sorrow and confusion as the car pulled to a stop in front of the main entrance. I withdrew from my thoughts to see Luke walking around to my side of the car and opening the door.
"Diana!" he exclaimed happily. "You're here!"
"Hey, Luke," I replied a little shyly.
He offered me a hand and helped me out of the car, giving me a quick hug. "You look wonderful!" he praised with a boyish grin. Then his eyes fell on Sarah and his entire face lit up. "Mum."
Luke offered his mother a hand out of the car as well and I could see how happy and proud he was of Sarah. His eyes were alight with joy and despite my happiness for the two, I also felt a streak of guilt. I knew the wedding wasn't going to end well.
Rani exited the car from the other side and walked around the back, her bouquet clasped in front of her stomach. She smiled sweetly at Luke, who looked completely star struck for a moment.
"Rani," Luke breathed, "you look… good."
Rani raised her eyebrows. "I look 'good'?" she asked teasingly.
Sarah smiled knowingly at her son and wrapped her hand around his arm. Luke blushed slightly and glanced down for a moment. "You look amazing. All three of you," he added.
Sarah tugged on his arm and the two started for the entryway arm in arm. "I thought you might have wanted the Doctor to give you away," Luke said as he escorted Sarah inside.
"I need somebody reliable, and I'm so very, very glad it's you. Besides, where would I send the invite? Metebelis Three?"
Only Sarah and I got the joke, but Luke and Rani smiled for our benefit. Sarah and Luke had already stepped inside with Rani and I just outside when a strange noise suddenly echoed behind us. Even though the sound was badly disfigured, I still was able to recognize it as the sound of the TARDIS trying to materialize.
"Did you hear that?" I asked Rani.
She nodded. "Yeah, but- Oh no! They're going in without us!"
Rani and I dashed forward to catch up to Luke and Sarah just as the two walked inside the reception room. Luke escorted Sarah down the aisle, with me following behind them and Rani right behind me. Luke handed Sarah over to a man who I could only guess was Peter before he sat down in the first row. Sarah looked over her shoulder at me and nodded in Luke's direction. I smiled and nodded once before following the boy's footsteps.
"Good afternoon, everyone, I'm the Superintendent Registrar. We are here today to witness the marriage of Sarah Jane Smith and Peter Anthony Dalton. In each other's company they have found happiness, fulfillment and love, and they wish to affirm their relationship with this marriage." Sarah and Peter shared a glance and they smiled at each other before looking forward at the registrar again. "Now, I have to ask this question. If any person can show just cause or impediment why they may not be joined together, let them speak now or forever hold their peace."
The same choking, disfigured sound of the TARDIS materializing echoed through the building. Sarah gasped when she finally heard and recognized the sound. The sound of someone running started in the hall and then suddenly, a tall man in a brown trench coat ran into the room.
"Stop this wedding now!" the Doctor shouted.
I jumped to my feet, my bouquet and clutch falling out of my hands. "Doctor?"
The guests burst into confused chatter as they tried to understand what was happening. "I don't believe it," Luke gasped as he stared at the Doctor.
"Is that-?" Rani asked.
K-9 suddenly rolled out from under one of the tables by the guest chairs. "Master!" he exclaimed.
"I said, stop this wedding!" the Doctor shouted again.
A strong gust of wind blew through the room, tearing at the drapes on the windows. The guests were starting to panic and K-9 was alerting the Doctor of an unknown danger.
"Sarah, stop!" the Doctor cried. "Get away from him!"
Sarah shook her head in confusion, but stepped away from her fiancé. Peter grabbed hold of her by the forearm and pulled her back. "No! Peter, no!" Sarah shouted over the wind.
Peter smiled reassuringly at Sarah. "Don't be afraid, Sarah Jane! It's the Angel!"
Just a few feet in front of me, a figure began to appear. It was a tall, faceless creature clothed in white robes. Even though I didn't remember what was going to happen next, I knew who and what the creature was.
"The Trickster!" Rani cried in shock.
The Doctor ran forward, but only moved a few inches. Something was holding him back. "Sarah! Trickster, let her go!"
"Too late, Time Lord," the Trickster replied with a laugh. "You're mine, Sarah Jane Smith. Mine forever."
"Sarah!"
I lunged towards Sarah with an arm outstretched. Sarah spotted me and reached with her free arm for me, calling my name and the Doctor's. The Trickster, who had moved so he was standing between the engaged couple, flicked a hand in my direction. I was suddenly thrown into the air and smashed against the wall.
When I fell to the floor, I tried to sit up but my vision had gone blurry and my glasses were askew. The room was spinning around me, but I could see the Trickster wave his hand again. He, Sarah, and Peter vanished into thin air and then darkness overwhelmed me.
A/N: I'd love to know what episodes you'd like to see with each Doctor. Episodes like 'Survival', 'Utopia/The Sound of Drums/The Last of the Time Lords', 'Dark Water/Death in Heaven', 'The Fires of Pompeii', or the Eighth Doctor movie are ones I can't do yet because I have something special in store for them. (I am currently preferring 12 to the other Doctors, but I'd love to hear ideas!)
