Another one! Zeus hissed. You dare sire another demon.
A child, Poseidon countered. Touch him. I will show you why you spend too much time fearing a child and so little time fearing me instead.
You dare threaten me?
I dare to protect my children!
You have broken our pact! You swore-
You broke it many years before I did brother! Do not dare to lecture on the moral ground that you yourself dare not step on!
A great flash of light blinded him within his own dream. When he opened his eyes, Percy expected to still be staring at the two gods arguing atop water. So scarily similar to the dream he had years ago. Back when he thought that these were just dreams. Those dreams meant nothing because hey it's all in your head!
Percy wasn't a child anymore. He would be turning 16 soon, and with it the world may end. The weight of the world was on him and him alone. But if the dream could be believed…
Percy rolled over and glanced outside his cabin window. Still early morning, so he mused that he could sleep for a few more hours. Secret sibling wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. Surely they could wait for Percy to eat some breakfast and perhaps hangout with Annabeth.
Just as he snuggled deeper into the covers a loud bang led out through the camp.
Great. Percy thought. Couldn't wait two hours noooo just had to be now when I want to sleep. But when Percy is up and ready! Where is the fight?
Despite his inner grumbling Percy was out of bed and following to where the rest of the campers ran. With Kronos on the rise and ready to kill them all, everyone was prepared for the worst. The battle that they would wage soon was creeping closer. Everyday Percy survived was another day closer to death.
Olympus to preserve or raze.
He tried to suppress a shudder, blaming it on the cold hair hitting him instead of what was racing through his mind.
Olympus to preserve or raze.
Yeah, Percy thought. Let's not think about that right now.
The whole camp seemed to be awake. In various states of dress children everywhere stood armed and ready to attack nothing at all. Percy pushed forward, the crowd was close to his cabin thankfully so it didn't take him long to get to the front. But even as he pushed past both the Stoll brothers he still saw absolutely nothing.
Only Chiron stood with a perplexed look, truly as if he was seeing something that wasn't even there.
"Everyone," Chiron yelled. For a moment he was looking straight at Percy before he turned away. "Please return to your cabin, there is nothing to worry about!"
I do not need to be told twice. Whatever was going on here is none of my business. Percy grimaced, turning around ready to head to his bed. His hand relaxed in the pocket where riptide resided, when he had clenched the pen he wasn't sure. Percy wasn't allowed even two steps before he heard his name being called out.
Why me? Percy lamented to himself already bracing himself for whatever horrible news that would spell out his probably immediate death. A quick turn of his heel and he found himself face to face with a grim faced Chiron. Immediate death, Percy thought. Totally have a death quest.
"Come with me to the big house." A serious situation this may be but Chiron made it feel all the more light hearted as he was sporting a very bright bonnet plopped sloppily on his head. Come on Jackson don't laugh. "I'm afraid we may have a situation."
At four years old Hibari Kyoya had seen a lot.
He's seen dogs that lunge out of the shadows and try to devour you. He's seen women with noodles for hair catch on fire. He's even seen a very large furry man rush him while he walked home from school.
But this? This topped the cake for sure.
"No strangers." Hibari hissed. These boys that approached him were not from Namimori. Hibari knew everyone in Namimori. They didn't even have the excuse of being Japanese, never had he seen people like this outside of the television.
"Oh uh-" the taller of the boys stuttered. "I'm Will and this is Chopper, we're from a place called Camp halfblood. We think you might be like us, can we talk to one of your parents?"
Hibari did not have parents. As far as he knew, one day he opened his eyes and came into existence. These two had no reason to be in Namimori, they had no reason to threaten him and his peace.
The smaller boy - Chopper - neighed. "What's your name? It's rude not to introduce yourself."
It was also rude to accost a carnivore in the street when he's defenseless. The one day he left his weapons at home was the day trouble needed to be afoot. Hibari clenched his fists, already making up his mind. Hibari breathed in slowly, feeling the air and tasting the mostur into his skin. About ten feet away was his minions, if he started a fight they would come in and help immediately. These two weaklings had nothing on 23 preschoolers. Not so far were four policemen, they would be alerted of the noise. Even farther was a group of what he felt was women. Sometimes he practiced feeling the minute differences in men and women's auras. Hibari made a wild guess that they were mothers, perhaps if he expanded himself he would find the relations between those women and his minions.
All back up he could rely on, his weapons may be gone but he was not optionless.
Will and Chopper started to speak again, but Hibari wouldn't give them a chance to continue. Without even breathing a word he lifted his fists and lunged at the smaller of the two. Chopper looked very weak compared to the boy who radiated sunlight.
"What the fuc-"
