Spider-man swung down to a dark alleyway, always the perfect place to change up without being seen, but once landing he looked around just to make sure no one or no camera was actually watching him, having the confirmation he was alone, he removed his mask and started putting his casual clothes back on.

He then took out his phone and used the feed of the phone's camera to help him comb his hair, he had to look good. Hold on, why did he have to look good? Obviously, he always took care of his hair, but he never cared about his hairstyle, always leaving his hair all messy. But even with all his might and efforts, his hair still looked messy, he gave up trying to save his hair and decided it was time to finally go in the Good Samaritan awards.

He was never too fond of these types of events, at least when it came to the social aspect of those events, he always liked being on his own, taking interesting shots in the event or just taking pictures of people having fun, that was his way of having fun.

He arrived at the Good Samaritan awards at the same time of a golden limousine pulling over near the red carpet leading to the entrance of the Museum of Arts. The back door opened, as Professor Marmalade got out of the limousine followed by the cheers of the public seeing him arrive, He waved at everyone that was surrounding the whole red carpet. For someone altruistic he sure liked the luxurious life.

Thierry Margoulin, reporter of BFC news went to Marmalade's side to tell all of his accomplishments, "Professor, in the past year, you've stopped wars, annihilated terrorism, fed the hungry and saved slaves by buying them. Some have described your goodness as second only to Mother Teresa."

"Oh, Mr. Margoulin, it's not a competition." Marmalade said, putting his face closer to the microphone, "And if it were, it would really be more of a tie."

"And where would Spider-man fit into this?" Thierry asked, "I mean, he's become a big talk in the city, so might even say he's a serious contender for the Good Samaritan award."

"Like I said before, this is not a competition. But for the sake of argument let's say we compare ourselves, in my own personal opinion, and you don't have to agree with me, it is absolutely fine if you have a different opinion..." He paused then continued emphasizing on his first word, "But...Spider-man deals with the problems of the city with violence, I mean, how can you bring peace with violence? It will only bring more of it, violence is just a barbaric way of dealing with problems, it has been proven numerous times it never works." He then changed the subject, knowing if he added more, his take on Spider-man would become controversial, "But if there is something we can all agree that there is a flower of goodness inside all of us, just waiting to blossom."

He then walked off to the building, while still waving and thanking the people for acknowledging him. Well, now he knew another person that hated Spider-man. On the back of his mind he admitted that Marmalade did bring a good point, after all he knew what he was doing as Spider-man wasn't very legal, but at the same time he wasn't breaking the law for a nefarious purpose, it was just to help the people and stop criminals, It's not like he would go out of his way to break criminal's bones.

But he shouldn't focus on that at the moment, right now, he was Angel Maguire, the photographer, so it was time to take some pictures. He looked around and quickly found the person he was looking for. Diane was talking to what seemed to be a couple, it seemed like they were having a pleasant conversation, he remembered she wasn't the social type in high school, but that was years ago, so she must have changed over time. He thought it would be wise to ask for her permission to take pictures first, she's the governor after all and he didn't want to look like a stalker.

He approached her, as he saw her waving goodbye to the people she was talking with, in this small trip he had time to mentally prepare himself on how he should greet her, he should probably introduce himself to her, since he knew she definitely wouldn't remember him.

He then took his courage and called her, "Miss governor?"

"Yes?" She turned to face Angel, her expression changed to a questioning one upon looking at him.

Angel started introducing himself, "I work for the Daily Bugle, would you mind if I c-"

"Wait." Diane interrupted him, she looked closely at him, memories starting to flood back, "You're...you're Angel Maguire, right?"

Angel was surprised, he didn't expect her to know his name, "Yes that's right, you remember me?" He pointed to himself.

"I do." She nodded, smiling at him and then raised an eyebrow, "Don't you?"

"Of course I remember you, you're not really forgettable." Angel chuckled a bit.

"You would be surprised." Diane said, "So you work for the Daily Bugle now?"

Angel nodded, "Yeah, as a photographer, still freelance though."

"I see, tomorrow I have an interview in the Daily Bugle." She then scratched the back of her head, "Truthfully, I'm not looking forward to talking to that Jonah Jameson guy."

"He can be quite the character, that's for sure." Angel understood Diane's doubts about Jameson.

"Anyway, you can take your pictures of the event, you've got a pass so no need to ask for my permission if that's what you were here for." Diane explained.

"Actually, I wanted to take pictures of you." Angel revealed, Diane stayed silent just staring at Angel upon hearing that, he looked to the side, mentally cursing at himself, realizing he should have said it in a better way. He looked back at Diane, correcting himself, "I was asked to."

Diane shook her head as she looked down, "Yeah, yeah, I get it. Do you need something specific?"

Angel looked around, it wasn't mandatory for the picture to be good, but he would like if it had some effort put into it, he looked at the wooden statue that formed an unknown shape, could be a good background, he didn't know what the statue meant but he was sure, the statue had a deep message about modern society.

He pointed at the statue, "You could go in front of it, if you want."

She turned her head back to the statue, "Yeah, sure." she walked and stopped to the right side of the statue, she looked back at Angel, "Like this?"

Angel thought for a bit, "Uh...Maybe a bit more to the center." she took some steps to the left and then stopped, Angel gave her the thumbs up as he started looking at his camera, "Perfect."

Once he found the right angle and light, he started taking the photos, after a while he stopped once he saw a man in a white tuxedo with a white fedora and a noticeable mustache appeared in the camera's field of vision. He stopped by her side, doing a bunny sign with his fingers behind Diane's head, she noticed his presence as she turned her head to him.

He chuckled, "Sorry, I couldn't resist. I hope I'm not interrupting anything."

Diane looked at Angel, after all he was the one taking the pictures, so she needed to know if it was alright to stop, Angel put down his camera as he told them, "Hum, not at all. We're done."

The man put his hands into his pockets as he turned to the statue, "I just came here to look at this piece of art, it's so interesting in how trashy and pointless it is."

"They say that art reveals more about the viewer than the artist." Diane said, putting her hand under her chin.

"And anything can be art." Angel added, walking towards them.

The man shrugged, "Sure, you can find a deep message in this, doesn't make it great, just pretentious."

"And you are Mister..." Diane asked, extending her hand to the man.

The man sensually grabbed her hand, "Poodleton. Oliver Poodleton." He kissed the back of her hand, which Diane was kind of weirded out about, making her distracted as he quickly and efficiently stole her ring. Yeah, something was definitely wrong with this guy.

"It's Angel Maguire." Angel introduced himself to the man.

"Pleasure to meet you." The man this time just did a simple handshake, nothing worth of value to steal from a freelance photographer, "If I ever appear in your photos, I hope you will make me look good."

"I always try to." Angel said, he then looked at the man's hand, the hand was very...furry, "You've got a lot of fur."

The man chuckled, as he stopped shaking Angel's hand, putting his hands back to his pocket, "My parents are Portuguese, that's why." That seemed like a logical explanation, but Oliver was still suspicious. He tried to change the subject as he turned to Diane, "You know, it's about time someone stood up to those diabolical Bad Guys."

"Well, I'm not the only one." Diane said, referring to Spider-man.

"Right." Oliver nodded, "Though, I've got to say, even he didn't succeed in turning them over."

Diane waved her hand, "Eh. I think it's just a question of time."

"I have a feeling it'll be harder than you think. I would say they're one job away from cementing their legacy." Oliver still believed in the superiority of the Bad Guys, as if he was with them...

wait-

Diane couldn't contain from bursting into laughter, as Oliver chuckled not understanding why she laughed that way, as Angel just stood there silently watching the weird scene, he was as confused as Oliver.

"Mr. Poodleton, you're-you're funny." Diane said, lightly pushing his shoulder.

Oliver continued to chuckle, "I am?" He asked uncertainty as this wasn't the reaction he expected from Diane.

"The only legacy they're cementing is life in prison. Did you see their last job? Ugh. Unsecured exits, crude disguises, compulsive showboating. I mean, it was a mess." Diane explained, "All the classic signs of a crew in decline."

"Maybe next, they're going to make it personal." Angel supposed.

"Yeah, totally." Diane agreed, "That's when you know they're toast."

Oliver wasn't expecting this. He looked away as he chuckled nervously, "Uh well, that's your opinion."

"It is, and I'm the governor." Diane asserted dominance.

"I'm just a photographer." Angel didn't assert dominance.

"But still, you've got the right for an opinion." Diane said to Angel, she then pointed to the statue, "As for the sculpture, I think it's about perspective." They looked at the statue, still looking like a mix of things that formed...something, she then looked to the side, "If you look closely enough, even trash can be recycled into something beautiful." They both looked to where Diane was looking and saw a light projecting the shadow of the statue to the wall, forming the shape of a swan.

"How about that?" Oliver was surprised, that statue actually had some thought behind it.

Angel was surprised too, "I didn't notice that." He then took a picture of the shadow.

Oliver looked back at Diane, "I guess some things aren't always as they appear." He then took out his phone, "May I? I'm not a professional photographer, but I can't miss a photo op with the governor and a pile of garbage."

"Of course you can." Diane accepted, as she stood near Oliver, "I'm a public figure, you don't need to ask for my permission, I don't bite."

"You never know." Oliver said taking a single picture. He then looked at the picture and was satisfied with it. He put his phone back in his pocket, "I'll leave now, gotta join my friends."

"Of course, enjoy the party. I hope to see you soon." Diane waved her hand at Oliver.

Oliver waved his hand as he started walking away, "I'm sure you will."

And now, Angel and Diane were back to being alone again. But Angel would have to keep an eye on this Poodleton.

Diane turned back to Angel, "Anyway, are you gonna be busy taking more pictures?"

"I took all I needed, why do you ask?" Angel asked.

"I figured you could join me inside." Diane offered, "We've got a lot to catch up."

Angel was surprised Diane wanted him to join her, he didn't refuse the offer, "Oh yeah, right."

They both went inside the museum of arts, Angel followed Diane to wherever she was taking him, he was surprised by how she was treating him, acting like they were old friends, he couldn't help but wonder why she would do that, she remembered his face and name, but did she forget what happened between them?

He decided to let that thought go, he supposed they could talk about this later. He continued to follow Diane until they soon joined up with two people that were at a table having a conversation with each other. Angel recognized these people, Norman Osborn and Marmalade.

Norman was the first to notice Diane, he got up from his chair as he turned to her, "Ah there she is."

"Hi guys." Diane greeted them, "This is Angel Maguire, an old friend of mine." She waved to Angel, "He's a photographer for the Daily Bugle."

"It's a great honor to meet you, sir." Angel put his hand forward for a handshake.

"Likewise." Norman shook his hand, "I'm Norman Osborn-"

"Head of Oscorp Technologies, right?" Angel knew who Norman Osborn was.

Norman nodded, "That's right, yes. But I'm also something of a scientist, myself."

"I know, I'm a big fan of your work. I read all your research on nanotechnology, really brilliant." Angel explained.

Norman was a bit impressed that this young man knew so much about him and his work, "Nanomachines, son. They're the future."

"They sure are." Angel agreed, then he looked at Marmalade, "And hello again, professor Marmalade."

"You two have met already?" Diane asked, looking at the both of them.

Marmalade nodded, "Yes, earlier today I taught him the importance of not getting distracted while walking on the street."

"Sorry again." Angel scratched the back of his head.

Marmalade scoffed, waving his hand, "No, it's alright. I know you didn't mean to."

"So Harry isn't coming?" Diane asked Norman, since she didn't see Harry anywhere in here.

Norman shook his head, "No, he didn't want to. He said he wasn't feeling well."

"Ah, I see. Hope he recovers quickly then." Diane said.

In the conversation, Angel felt a weird tingling feeling, his spider-sense rose up, something was going on. He interrupted the conversation, "Hey, I was wondering, you think something will happen?"

"What do you mean?" Diane asked, turning to Angel.

"This is a pretty big event, someone might try and ruin it, just a guess." Angel explained.

"You shouldn't worry about that, Oscorp has installed our latest high-end security system, if someone tries to ruin the show, they will only ruin themselves." Norman said, not worried if someone tried to sabotage the event.

But still, Angel would have to stay on his guard, something bad will definitely happen.

"Well, I will have to go on stage in about a minute, I'll see you guys later." Diane said, then she looked at Marmalade, "Except you."

"You can't get rid of me." Marmalade laughed, adjusting his bow tie.

Diane walked off to the backstage, leaving Angel, Marmalade and Norman alone. While Norman decided to drink a bit more of his wine and Marmalade continued to enjoy his food, Angel looked around the museum, to see if he could find the reasons behind his spider-sense tingling.

He did see a large woman surrounded by people, seemingly trying to help her giving birth, maybe that was the reason? It would be a weird reason, but a valid one. But still he wasn't sure how Spider-man could come into helping in that situation.

"Ladies and gentlemen." A female voice was heard in the speakers, "Your emcee for the Good Samaritan Awards..." The announcer paused as Diane then came to the stage, everyone clapped as she waved to the crowd, "...Governor Diane Foxtington."

"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you so much." Diane spoke up in the microphone, "Last year, we faced our biggest test when a meteorite crashed into our dear city." A video was projected in the projection screen on the stage, as Diane recalled the events, "That meteorite didn't just make a hole in our city. It made a hole in our hearts. But even in tragedy, Professor Marmalade, he did what he does so well. He made us look at things differently. And thanks to you, Marmalade, the love Crater Meteorite will forever serve as a symbol of how there is good even in the worst places."

The crowd applauded Diane's speech.

"I wonder what Spider-man was doing that day." Norman said his thoughts out loud.

"Maybe he was sick that day." Angel supposed. But he knew he was right, since he was sick that day.

Diane continued, "And now, please join me in welcoming to the stage..." She paused and then continued, "...Professor Marmalade."

Everyone applauded, as a light shined on Marmalade's table, Norman and Angel got a bit away from the table to give Marmalade the whole spotlight he rightfully deserved. He got off the table and walked on the red carpet to the stage.

He grabbed a microphone and started speaking, "Thank you everyone, thank you. This award is for rewarding the goodest citizen of the year, which is me obviously, but I'm not just here for the award, you see, I have an announcement to make. I will be creating a charity event called "Gala for Goodness", in which the funds collected in that event will all go to the less fortunate." The crowd applauded Marmalade's announcement.

"What a great initiative." Diane said, "And now, the moment we've all been waiting for." Both of them stepped aside, as the projector screen was slowly raised up, "And now it is my honor to award Professor Marmalade...with the Golden Dolphin!"

When the screen was raised all the way up, everyone realized the pedestal was empty, the Golden Dolphin wasn't there. There were only security laser guns pointing down, and statues with holes in them, something happened in there.

The whole crowd gasped, even Marmalade that said he didn't care about the award was heartbroken from seeing the Golden Dolphin was missing.

Norman Osborn got up from his chair, he was clearly angered but not for the same reason as everyone else, he was wondering how the hell did his security system fail?

Knowing something was up, Angel decided to stealthily step out to the museum's toilet, and going inside one of the stalls to change into his spider-man outfit, he had to be ready for action. Once suited up, he got out and then was face to face with a man that didn't expect to see the one and only Spider-man getting out of one of the toilet's stalls.

"Looking good, Spidey." The man gave him a thumbs up.

"Thanks." Spider-man slightly nodded as he then walked off the toilet. He then went up to one of the dark corners of the museum to watch over for any suspicious people.

Diane was trying to calm the crowd down, "Everyone, everyone, uh, please don't panic. Just stay calm. I'm sure there's an explanation for this. I repeat, uh, please do not panic."

"Diane, Diane, If I may..." Marmalade tried to help out Diane calm the crowd, "Like I said earlier, I didn't bring hope back to the city for an award. I did these good things because of how they made me feel. That tingly feeling I get. That shiver up my spine. The wag in my tiny tail. Because, you see, being good just feels so good. And when you're good, you're loved."

Spider-man wasn't listening too much to the speech, as he noticed a certain someone, Oliver Poodleton, he was accompanied by four other people, one of them was the pregnant lady from earlier, they were far off the crowd and Oliver had his wolf-like tail wagging.

Wait, a tail?

Portuguese people don't have tails!

This wasn't Oliver Poodleton, it was Wolf!

Spider-man shot a web string up to the glass roof, and swung on it, the crowd looked up at him, starting to cheer him, he then landed in front of the Bad Guys, that's when the crowd realized the Bad Guys were in the museum too, their cheers faded into screams of terror.

The police chief made her way to the front of the crowd as she shouted, "Arrest them!"

Without wasting a second, tons of police officers appeared from all sides, completely surrounding the bad guys in a giant circle of officers.

The chief pointed her finger towards the bad guys, "They stole the Golden Dolphin!"

Wolf chuckled, "Come on, you can't prove that."

Then, coincidently, the Golden Dolphin fell off from Shark's robe, as everyone looked down at the Golden Dolphin.

"My baby!" Shark picked up the Golden Dolphin and held it like it was an actual baby.

"On your knees, Bad Guys." The chief ordered cracking her knuckles, "With your hands up."

Snake jumped, "Never!" He looked at the others, "We're out of here."

They all smirked as Wolf got up his grappling hook gun, aimed it upwards and shot the hooked string to the glassed roof, breaking the glass that got into contact with the hook, once the hook was gripped, the bad guys held each other close looking up, as Wolf declared, "So long, suckers!"

He pushed the trigger and then the string pushed up...Only Wolf's pants and his grappler gun. The bad guys stopped smirking, quickly realizing that their escape failed.

Wolf put his paw over his head, as he chuckled nervously, "Well, this just got a little weird."

Spider-man whistled at the sight of Wolf's pink boxer with hearts symbols, "That's a cute outfit, did your husband give it to you?"

"Hey! I'm not his husband!" Snake angrily corrected Spider-man.

Wolf facepalmed himself as the others looked confusingly at him and Snake.

"Let's just focus on what's most important right now." Wolf told the group to focus.

"¿Lucha?" Piranha asked, looking up at the others.

"Yes Piranha, lucha." Shark agreed, slamming his fists together, ready to fight.

That was enough for Piranha to run first towards Spider-man, he tried to shoot webs at Piranha to stop him in his tracks, but none of them landed on him as he was fast and small. Piranha then jumped on Spider-man using the same tactic as the one used in their escape, quickly attacking on all sides without being able to retaliate. Seeing no way to get him off, Spider-man shot a web string up to the roof, hoping that by swinging around Piranha would lose balance and be open to an attack. Spider-man started to swing up, but Snake enrolled his tail around Spider-man's leg bringing him down, Spider-man fell down to his back on the floor.

Piranha puts his hands down on Spider-man's mask, "Time to unmask you."

While Piranha was busy trying to remove Spider-man's mask, he used that opportunity to push him away from his mask and body, "Sorry, buddy. But that's private."

His spider-senses suddenly tingled, he quickly got up avoiding in-extremist Shark's attack, cracks appeared in the floor tiles that Shark's fist and arms landed on. Spider-man turned to Shark who was getting up, Spider-man was about to attack Shark, but Piranha pushed him towards Shark by bouncing on his back, Spider-man made contact with Shark's body as he then held onto him, putting him into a bear hug(Shark hug in this case.) Then Shark threw him to the back as Spider-man landed on the wall behind Shark, he had no time to recover, as his spider-senses tingled on incoming danger, he shot a web string up and swung up, as he looked down and saw a bowling ball, thrown by Snake, slamming into the wall he was at a second ago.

"These guys are no joke." Spider-man thought.

But no time for praises, Spider-man swung a bit more until he landed behind Shark's back, Shark quickly made a 180 degrees turn with his arm extended far enough to hit Spider-man while making his turn, Spider-man avoided the attack by crouching down, he then grabbed Shark's robe by one hand and grabbed Shark's shoulder with his other hand, so that he could hold him up high, he turned with Shark on top of him as he saw Piranha approaching him, ready to attack, Spider-man then slammed Shark down to Piranha, who didn't have time to dodge due to Shark's massive size.

His spider-sense tingled again, but his reaction time was too slow, or Wolf was too fast, as Wolf drop kicked right in the face, throwing him back until the police chief caught him from the back, she was annoyed that she didn't join in the fight yet.

Wolf helped Shark up as they then looked down and saw Piranha was knocked out, Shark scratched his fin as he felt a bit guilty for being the cause to knock Piranha out.

Spider-man got off of the chief as he was ready to jump back into action, but the chief stopped him, as she put a hand on his shoulder.

"Yo, can I tag in?" She asked, still annoyed about doing nothing in this fight.

"Sorry, but I don't want to put you in danger." Spider-man explained, putting the chief's hand away from his shoulder.

"That's literally my job." The chief stated, but Spider continued to walk away not wanting to join forces, then she shouted angrily, "I am the danger!"

The four remaining bad guys grouped up together, as Wolf noticed Tarantula was distracted by Spider-man's presence.

"So Webs, a little help?" Wolf asked Tarantula.

"Uh? Oh yeah, sorry, on it." Tarantula focused back on protecting themselves, she got out her laptop and started typing on it, "Gimme a minute."

"You got it." Snake said, as he then vomited a combat knife, he grabbed it with his tail ready to throw it at Spider-man.

"I really wonder how you can fit in such things inside of you." Spider-man said, ready for Snake to throw his knife any moment now.

"Should have paid attention in biology class." Snake told him, as he brought his tail back about to throw the knife, he threw it, but not at Spider-man's direction, he threw the knife to his right about to go through a police officer, Snake slyly smiled, "Oops..."

Spider-man shot a web string to the knife and then brought it down, planting it on the floor, with the distraction working, Wolf punched Spider-man in the face, sending him down. Wolf was about to attack him some more, but Spider-man shot two web strings at both Wolf's legs as he pushed the web strings back, making him fall to the floor. Shark was running right behind, ready to help Wolf out and attack Spider-man, he got up and jumped on Wolf, putting one feet on his head, using it as leverage for another higher jump, with the second jump he was able to place one right kick in Shark's face, strong enough to send him down and knock him out.

He saw Snake quickly slithering towards him about to jump and bite him, but Spider-man quickly shot web at him, making sure it was enough to pin him to the floor, he was webbed to the floor with only his head out, Snake tried to force his way out of the web, but he was stuck.

Spider-man then looked down at his left, hearing Tarantula saying, "Done!"

Then a small ray turret appeared out of the floor, with a floor tile on top of it. The tip started glowing a bright red light.

Diane, Marmalade and Norman were watching the fight going from afar.

Marmalade gasped in horror, "It's horrible! Are they using Oscorp's high tech security to hurt Spider-man?"

"Seems like it." Diane said, crossing her arms.

Norman shook his head, "This wasn't supposed to happen."

Back to the fight, Wolf did notice something strange, the turret was aimed at Tarantula, he turned his head down to her, "Hey, is it supposed to be aimed at you?"

"What?" Tarantula looked at the turret, it was aimed at her, she narrowed her eyes in confusion, the turret was supposed to be aimed at Spider-man, since it would be too long to program it against him specifically she took a shortcut and put the target against spiders and her eyes shot wide in realization, "Oh." She could only say, once she found out why the turret was aimed at her.

Spider-man shot a web string at the turret, and started pushing the web string towards him until the turret detached from its other hall, Spider-man let it fall down to the floor as the red light slowly went off.

"That was so cool!" Tarantula looked up at Spider-man with a huge smile, then she remembered he was the enemy, so her smile disappeared for a forced angry look, "I mean...Argh! You will pay for this, Spider-man!" Spider-man prepared himself to fight, but Tarantula didn't attack, she just whispered to him, "Web me."

Spider-man with uncertainty webbed down Tarantula, she was very happy to being webbed by Spider-man. But no time to think about her strange feelings for him, as his spider-sense tingled again, he did a back-flip upwards as Wolf tried to attack him from behind, with the back flip he was able to dodge the attack. He landed down as Wolf turned back to face him.

"Leaving the leader of the group for last." Wolf said, readjusting his tuxedo, "...How cliché."

"I'm not really that good of a storyteller." Spider-man admitted.

And they ran towards each other ready to fight, since this was an one on one fight now, they had to only focus on one opponent, no more distractions. Wolf went for a roundhouse kick, Spider-man dodging it, in the movement Wolf went for another one, this time connecting to Spider-man's face, the force of the kick made him back away a bit, he used that backing away movement to drop a kick to Wolf, landing the kick on his stomach, in the end they both backed away from the landed kicks.

Spider-man then shot a web string to Wolf's torso, but he saw it coming, Wolf quickly grabbed the web string and pushed the string towards him, forcing Spider-man towards him too. Wolf pushed his fist back ready to punch Spider-man, but before the fist could connect, Spider-man shoulder-pushed Wolf down to the floor.

Spider-man crouched near the downed Wolf, "Webs are my thing."

"I'm your thing?!" Tarantula shouted from her web, desperate for Spider-man's attention. Which she got, as he turned his face to her.

Using that distraction, Wolf uppercutted Spider-man's chin, making him fall to the floor, they both quickly got up and ran towards each other, Wolf jumped towards Spider-man, he caught Wolf's paws with his hands, as Wolf put his leg's paws to Spider-man's knees as they struggled for control. In the struggle, Wolf tried to bite Spider-man's face.

"What a big mouth you have." Spider-man said, backing his head away.

"It's to eat you better!" Wolf said, still trying to bite Spider-man's face.

Spider-man put both of his hands around Wolf's mouth, stopping him from opening it, "Sorry, but I'm not into that."

With his free paws, Wolf grabbed Spider-man's arms and tried to get his hands off his mouth, but he couldn't make him flinch, he put his leg's paws to Spider-man's stomach trying to put more strength into getting out of his grasp. Spider-man simply let go, which Wolf didn't expect him to do it so suddenly, Wolf lost balance as Spider-man used that small window of opportunity to punch him in the face, sending Wolf back to the floor. He tried to quickly get up, but his left paw got webbed to the floor, seeing Spider-man approach him, he tried to punch him, but being stuck on the floor made it difficult to land a punch to him, Spider-man simply grabbed Wolf's free arm, making him stop trying to fight off, Wolf sighed as he admitted defeat.

"I've gotta say, you guys are pretty good at fighting." Spider-man said, looking down at Wolf.

Wolf looked to the side, he wasn't convinced, "I should take that as a compliment, but we did get our asses handed to you."

Spider-man started explaining, "I'm just saying, you could use those abilities for something like-"

"Like using them in jail!" The chief interrupted as she went to Spider-man's side, looking down at Wolf with handcuffs in her hand.

Moments later, the bad guys were being escorted away from the museum by the police.

Outside of the museum, BFC news were filming the whole thing as Thierry Margoulin was in the scene commenting on the whole live event, "The Bad Guys go bust. The nefarious fivesome has finally been captured, beaten by Spider-man and, dare I say, destroyed like San Marino does in every football match." Thierry Margoulin paused to let the joke sink in, he then shook his head, "Nobody will get this joke."

The police chief was escorting Wolf, having a last conversation with him, as her emotions started getting a hold of her, "Wow. You know, I-I just realized that I have devoted my entire adult life to putting you in jail. And I can't even do that properly with that spider around. You are supposed to be my purpose. Without you, who am I?" She paused, seemingly starting to tear up, "Ah, I'm just kidding." It was all fake, the chief shook Wolf, proudly laughing, "This is the best moment of my life! I don't care how we got to this point, I'm just glad it's the end of the Bad Guys."

All of the bad guys got carried to the S.U.C.M armored vehicle, they tried to fight back but couldn't as they were all forcefully put into the back of the vehicle.

"No!" Shark screamed as he got thrown into the vehicle.

"Get your hands off of me!" Piranha warned, his hands handcuffed in his back and a ski mask so he wouldn't bite the officers.

"Ooh, you're begging for a biting right now." Tarantula said, trying to break the glass spider cage she was in.

Snake was the only one who didn't fight back, being dragged by a long cane with a cuff around his neck, he looked back at Wolf, "Wolf!" He said as he got dragged to the vehicle.

Wolf then looked down at his tail, ashamed that his emotions got the better of him, if he had stuck to the plan he had made, they would have pulled off the heist of the century, not the failure of the century.

He then heard reporters in the back wanting to interview all the important people in the event, "Professor Marmalade! Madam Governor! Spider-man!"

He turned his head at them, wondering why nothing bad ever happened to these three people, why were they treated differently? And then his eyes shot high in realization, they weren't hated because they were good, like dogs that obeyed orders and everyone loved a good doggie, never looking at their murderous animal instincts. He smirked, finding one last trick under his sleeve.

He easily got off the chief's grasp, much to her anger, as he walked up to the three good guys, "Excuse me." The people gasped from his interjection, "Sorry to interrupt. I just wanted to congratulate the governor here. I got to say, you really got us pegged. We're just a deep well of anger and self-loathing."

"Denial." Diane added.

"Sure. That, too." Wolf nodded.

"Narcissism." Diane added more.

"Yeah. Yeah." Wolf nodded again.

"Emotional emptiness." Diane added even more, and she wasn't finished yet.

"So we're on the same page." Wolf wanted this to be over.

Diane nodded.

"What is he doing?" Shark asked the others, not understanding Wolf's plan.

"Sadly, we were never given a chance to be anything more than second-rate criminals." Wolf started pleading a case for him and his friends, Diane could clearly see what he had in mind, "If only there was someone who could help the flower of goodness inside us blossom. Some icon of love and forgiveness, like, uh, I don't know, Mother Teresa." Wolf said the last part staring right at Marmalade, he stood there mouth agape, "Best thing is to just throw us in jail for the rest of our hopeless lives."

The chief grabbed Wolf by the shoulder, "Yeah, that's the plan." She then started dragging him to the vehicle, not wanting to waste any time.

"Wait." Marmalade told the Chief to stop. Wolf couldn't help but smirk.

"Uh, beg...beg pardon?" The chief stuttered, looking back at Marmalade.

Marmalade started explaining, speaking high enough for everyone to hear, "Mr. Wolf may be a savage beast. Basically walking garbage. Sorry, I'm making a point."

"Do what you need to do, pal." Wolf didn't mind the personal attack.

"But how can we say they're hopeless if they've never been given a chance?" Marmalade asked, "What if...what if we tried a little experiment, Diane?" He turned back to Diane, "As you know-"

"If we know, then there's no need to repeat it." A random person in the crowd interrupted Marmalade.

Marmalade cleared his throat and continued like this interruption was just a cut-out joke, "My Gala for Goodness, the #charityeventoftheyear is coming up. If I can prove to everyone at that gala, that the Bad Guys have changed, will you set them free and give them a clean start?"

The crowd gasped at Marmalade's suggestion of giving the Bad Guys a chance to change.

"What? Professor Marmalade!" The chief shook her head, clearly against the idea, "No, no, no, no, no. Don't you see what he's doing? He's playing you."

"But it was my idea." Marmalade pointed out.

"It was his idea." Wolf agreed with Marmalade, giving a sly smile towards the angry Chief.

"But only because you made him have it." The Chief pointed out and pointed at Wolf too, "Madam Governor, you can't just let them go."

"Professor, I'm not about to put the safety of the city on the line for an experiment." Diane wasn't too fond of the idea.

"If I may..." Spider-man spoke up, appearing outta nowhere, "I believe we should give them a chance to write their wrongs. I know that for some of you, my job is not very clear, but I'm not doing this to punish criminals, I'm here to stop crimes and help everyone that needs it. Whatever we think of them or what they did, we can all agree they've got amazing skills, the problem is, they're just using them for the wrong purposes. But I'm ready to help them understand that with great power..."

"Comes great responsibility." Wolf finished Spider-man's phrase.

Snake just groaned loudly in the back, sick of hearing that phrase.

"If I can add something, Madam Governor. I seem to remember that a wise person once said, "Even trash can be recycled into something beautiful."" Wolf reminded Diane of their earlier conversation.

Diane chuckled, seeing Wolf using her own words against her. She then nodded, "Okay, I'm game."

"No!" The Chief was quick to react against the decision.

"But only because we've got the Spider-man and the professor teaming up to help them." Diane said to the both of them, Spider-man and Marmalade high-fived, "We'll hold on to the Dolphin until the gala. Just to remove any unnecessary temptation."

"Of course. Good thinking." Marmalade agreed, giving the Golden Dolphin to Diane, "That's why you're governor. Now that everyone's happy..."

"Not happy." The Chief crossed her arms.

"...I, Rupert Marmalade the Fourth, with a tiny help of Spider-man, will turn the Bad Guys into..." He paused dramatically, "the Good Guys!" He then whispered to himself, "Gotta remember to trademark that one."

Wolf got off of his handcuffs and threw them at the Chief, "I think these belong to you." Wolf entered the back of the vehicle, ready to close the doors.

Diane spoke up to Wolf, "Not everyone gets a second chance. Make the most of it, Mr. Poodleton."

Wolf waved at Diane and then closed the door as the vehicle drove away.

Then Diane looked around and saw Spider-man leaving without being seen, except by her. She tried to join him but journalists quickly surrounded her. She looked back at Marmalade, "Hey, could you..."

Marmalade quickly accepted her request to distract the journalists, "Of course. Of course." He readjusted his bow tie, "Ladies and Gentlemen, if you have any questions, I will be happy to answer them."

The journalists started surrounding Marmalade, as Diane gave him a thumbs up as a thanks and went on to join Spider-man.

"Hey, wait up." Diane spoke up to Spider-man.

Spider-man turned back to Diane, "I was sure I would be able to leave quietly."

"I just need a minute." Diane stated.

"Of course." Spider-man nodded.

"I wanted to thank you for helping capture the Bad Guys, quite frankly I was surprised you showed up." Diane thanked him for the help against the Bad Guys.

"Well, I am your friendly neighborhood Spider-man, always here to help." Spider-man said.

"Yeah." Diane nodded, then she looked back at Marmalade still being interviewed, "Don't tell Marmalade about this, but I was actually hesitating on who to give the goodest citizen award to, between you and Marmalade. In the end I chose Marmalade, because he represented more peace and goodness, without offense."

"None taken." Spider-man waved his hand up.

"And also, I mean there's no way to contact you." Diane pointed out, chuckling a bit.

"It's just that I prefer working without any affiliation." Spider-man explained.

"So, do you think Wolf was telling the truth? That they're going to suddenly turn a new leaf." Diane asked, wanting to know Spider-man's opinion on the matter.

"It's going to be hard, very hard. But if they don't believe in turning good, we'll have to give them a reason to." Spider-man was ready to give them a chance.

"Right. Maybe..." Diane nodded.

"Well if that's all, I will be on my way." Spider-man said, about to leave.

"Will you be at the Gala?" Diane asked one last question.

"I will bring a nice suit." Spider-man answered, as he then shot a web string up and started swinging away.

Diane smiled at Spider-man going away, he was definitely something else. She went back to the front of the museum, she wondered where Angel had gone to, he disappeared right after the Bad Guys showed up, he may have ran away from seeing them, but he never acted that way before.

Her thoughts were interrupted when she saw Norman Osborn, he was at the entrance of the museum, speaking on the phone with someone, he was practically shouting, he wasn't pleased to have his security system fail. She walked up to him and waited for him to finish his call before talking to him.

After a minute of waiting, Norman turned off his phone and put in it in his pocket. He turned to Diane as he knew she was waiting for him to finish the call for a while.

"This was a disaster." Norman admitted.

"It was." Diane nodded in agreement.

Norman put his hands over his face, this was too humiliating and it would certainly put a big blow to his company. He put down his hands and looked back at Diane as she was just silent, too silent, Norman quickly figured the problems from his failed security system will start to pile on at this moment.

He sighed and then asked, "Are you blaming me for this?"

"My office. 10 pm." Diane simply said, then she walked away, leaving Norman alone.

Norman turned back to the entrance of the museum, looking far away at the broken turret with some remnants of web on it. The turret was hacked so easily by Tarantula, it broke so easily by Spider-man's strength.

How could he be so much inferior than them?

Inside the SUCM truck, the Bad Guys stared at Wolf, confused as to why he took that deal.

"Wolf?" Snake asked for Wolf's attention, "What are you doing?"

"What?" Wolf asked back.

"Yeah!" The others wanted to know too.

"Oh, that." Wolf waved his hand as then he chuckled, "I-I'm sorry. I thought it was, uh, obvious." Then he revealed, "We're gonna go good."

The others looked at him, wondering if he was serious.

"Uh, you totally lost me." Tarantula said, crossing her palps.

"I told him to stop drinking out of the toilet." Piranha told the others.

"Hey, did you get hit on the head?" Shark asked Wolf, concerned for his health.

What? No, I didn't get hit on the head." Wolf stated.

Shark interrupted Wolf by telling the story of his cousin, "My cousin got hit on the head with an anchor, and after that, he only swam in a circle."

"No, no, guys, guys, you're not following me." Wolf tried to refocus everyone, "We're gonna pretend to go good." The others raised their eyebrows at that, Wolf explained, "Just a few days with Marmalade and Spidey. And then we roll into the gala as Good Guys and roll out scot-free with..."

"The Golden Dolphin." They all said in unison.

"You got it." Wolf said, "Since when do we not finish a job? The Bad Guys become the Good Guys so we can stay the Bad Guys. You know what I'm saying?"

They all started laughing mischievously.

"Bad guys acting good?" Snake asked, looking at Wolf, "It's the ultimate bad guy thing. It's fantastic. Wolf, you're a genius."

"It's gonna be, like, the most relaxing con ever, like a vacation." Wolf said, leaning on his seat.

"And we get to spend time with Spider-man!" Tarantula added.

Snake stopped smiling, "Nah, that one sucks."

"Hey, you take that back." Webs said, turning to Snake.

"No, you take that back!" Snake retorted, putting his face close to Webs.

"Guys, do not fight without me!" Piranha said to the others, trying to get off his handcuffs to join the incoming fight.

Wolf smiled at the scene, this is who they were, he would like to see the other two trying to change them, but then he looked down and saw his tail, it wasn't moving, unlike at the museum when he reluctantly helped a old woman out and she praised him for it, his smile faded out, that moment felt good, too good, but he knew that was just an exception of circumstances, never to happen again, right now they had the perfect plan to be remembered forever, he wouldn't throw that plan and his friends out, just for some more wagging from his tail or for that feeling of goodness.

He won't go home.

He will stay bad.

Oh hi, everyone!

Second chapter is out, and I hope you enjoyed it. The feedback from the first chapter has been rather positive, so thank you for that and I hope this second chapter was up to standard.

Anyway I also hoped you enjoyed reading the fight scene, it actually was my first time writing a detailed fight scene, so I suppose it can be quite messy here and there.

For this fanfic I will try(And I emphasize on the word, 'try') to publish chapters each saturday, technically I finish writing them a few days in advance but I give myself a few days off, before coming back with a fresh mindset to edit the finished chapter. So yeah, let's see how long it takes before I give up on this schedule.

See ya!
