Author's Notes
Yuugi decides...
Atemu stays...
Sugoroku meets...
Yo!
I also wanted to comment that it is impossible for Yuugi to be Atemu's reincarnation because it is explained in the manga that Atemu sealed his soul inside Sennen Pazuru by sealing Zorc Necrophades, with Atemu using his name as part of the seal, explaining the fact of his name to have been deleted from any inscription and consequently, in the Egyptian religion, when someone's name is deleted from any inscription, one cannot go into the afterlife.
In fact, this was one of the penalties applied to criminals in ancient Egypt. His name was erased from everywhere as punishment, to keep his soul from going beyond. For the Egyptians, it was the worst punishment anyone could have.
In Atemu's case, it was necessary for him to condemn himself by sacrificing himself, both physically and in relation to his name, to seal Zorc Necrophades, saving the world from destruction.
Also, for a soul to reincarnate, it cannot be sealed in something.
It was shown that Atemu was imprisoned by the item and that it took him to be defeated, then speak his name in front of the door, for his soul to go to the afterlife. Without his name in defeat, he couldn't leave.
The reason why Yuugi is similar to Atemu in terms of hair is due to the fact that Sugoroku is the reincarnation of Shimon, Tjaty (Vizir) and Royal Adviser of the Per'a'ah (Pharaoh) because in the manga, when Sugoroku manages to solve the puzzles of Pharaoh's pyramid nameless and ends up being shot, Atemu's soul emerges, in his Pharaoh's clothing and crown, stretching his hand to Sugoroku, aiming to save him from the fall while speaking: "I was waiting for you, Shimon."
In fact, it was Shimon himself who placed all those traps in Atemu's pyramid to prevent it from being looted by tomb robbers and at a certain moment, while deciphering the clues, Sugoroku comments to himself that he had the strange feeling of having already been there. and that for some reason, he felt a certain familiarity with the traps and this had nothing to do with being the "legendary player", as he was known among the players.
This in itself proves that in fact, he is Shimon's reincarnation, also explaining the fact that he is a copy of his body in his past life as an Egyptian.
In Ancient Egypt it was customary for Pharaoh's relatives to occupy high positions, such as uncles, cousins, and so on.
In fact, it was a tradition for the Pharaoh to marry one of his cousins or sisters to generate an heir while maintaining the bloodline.
Therefore, I believe Shimon was related to Atemu. Perhaps, he was a great-uncle, for example, or a cousin of Atemu's father, Akhenamkhanen, justifying Shimon's appearance and his current reincarnation, Sugoroku, with Yuugi inheriting these traits because it is shown that when he was young, he had bangs. golden and her hair was pointed, with these being the characteristics that Yuugi inherited.
Also, for a soul to reincarnate it cannot be sealed inside something. Atemu's soul was sealed in the Sennen pazuru.
I also want to explain about the fact that Atemu refers to Yuugi as "mou hitori no ore".
Ore is "I" in Japanese, as is boku.
However, the difference between the two is that "boku" is informal while the use of "ore" is formal and used by older people when talking to people younger than themselves or by superiors when talking to a subordinate. In this case, it can be used when referring to someone younger or a subordinate.
Only when Yuugi joins forces with Atemu in the canon to defeat the Pegasus fantasy world deck does he come to refer to Yuugi as "aibou", partner in Japanese and no longer "mou hitori no ore" because they both battled together when using the Mind Shuffle technique.
Even if they notice, Atemu uses the term "mou hitori no ore" again when Yuugi takes the Sennen Pazuru to face Jounouchi alone while delivering him to the blonde, who had his mind enslaved by Mariki, thus preventing the Pharaoh from forcing the exchange with he.
After all, if the item is not touching the body, the exchange does not occur.
At this point, while Atemu asks him not to die, Pharaoh refers to Yuugi as "mou hitori no ore" because they were no longer fighting together.
After this battle is over, he reverts to referring to Yuugi as "Aibou".
These differences are only possible in Japanese audio and manga.
That's all I wanted to explain and comment on.
Have a good read XD
Chapter 25 - Clothing
"Moshi moshi."
"Yuugi-kun, are you better?"
"Yes, Kisara-chan."
"Is it really better?" Another voice came over the phone.
"Yes, Nuru-chan."
"Are you okay to walk?"
"For sure."
"So let's all go to school together."
"I'll wait for you."
"In a few minutes we'll be there."
"Let's call Yukiko-chan and let her know he's fine, Kisara-chan."
"Yes, Nuru-chan."
Yuugi smiled as he listened to them taking turns on the call, with him managing to imagine the two of them sharing the phone, side by side.
"It's a good idea." The tricolor-haired young man speaks. "She was also very worried."
After talking for a few minutes, they end the call, with Yuugi saying goodbye to both of them and after putting the smartphone in his pocket, the young man looks at his black leather choker around his neck again, to later consider the possibility of using the top of his clothes. Last year's Halloween party to match the item, once she noticed how much she enjoyed using some different paraphernalia since she was in high school.
So, deciding to test whether it would be better if he added the vest made up of belts and that stuck to his chest under his uniform, the teenager goes to the drawers and after rummaging through them, manages to find the top.
Then, he puts on the vest after removing the coat and blouse from the uniform.
Yuugi looks into the mirror for a few minutes, then puts on her school blouse and jacket, leaving it open, then looking at her clothes in the mirror, realizing that she's been right in it, so to speak, with it feeling stylish as he searched for a word that best suited what he was feeling when wearing that vest full of belts and skin-tight under his uniform that matched black leather choker.
He snaps out of his thoughts upon hearing his grandfather, calling him from the kitchen, "Yuugi, you need to eat breakfast before you leave!"
The teenager checks the time on his alarm clock and realizes he was a little late, considering the fact that he needed to eat before he left.
After picking up his backpack, the young man runs down the stairs two at a time.
"I've been calling you for a few minutes. You haven't even heard the alarm clock. Are you okay?" Sugoroku asks with concern evident on her face as she sees him yawn as he enters the kitchen.
Yuugi puts his backpack on a chair, yawning again as he finds it strange that he feels sleepy all of a sudden as he descends the stairs.
"I'm just really sleepy, jii-chan. I don't think I slept well. I should have been concentrating on Kisara-chan and Nuru-chan's phone call so I wouldn't hear you. After the phone call, I put on an additional outfit as well of my usual uniform." The young man speaks through several yawns.
"What did they want?"
"Knowing if I was well enough to go to school." He explains while yawning. "As I'm fine, we're going to school together. They were going to tell Yukiko-chan."
"After you get back from school, take the time to rest. You probably didn't sleep well last night and you're sleep deprived. What about your injuries? Do you want me to get some pain medicine? After all, it's already past twelve hours apart. between doses."
"I'm fine. I don't feel pain anymore. Apparently I'm not very susceptible to pain because it only took one night's sleep for me to recover."
"Apparently yes." The grandfather speaks assent as he discreetly looks at Sennen Pazuru and then at his grandson.
"The only explanation I can find for my grandson to be uninjured is the power of this item and perhaps something else... However, I think it's too soon for me to confirm my assumption. If I confirm mine suspicions, my friend Arthur Hopkins (Arthur Hawkins) will be delighted to learn that our assumptions about this item were correct and that its relationship to Ancient Egypt lies beyond the passage in the Book of the Dead." He thinks to himself.
"Yuugi, that collar and clothes under the uniform…" He comments, showing surprise on his face when noticing the new adornment and clothes.
His grandson shows apprehension on his face that he doesn't feel as good on him as he thought and asks, showing anxiety on his face, "Is it bad, jii-chan?"
"It didn't look bad. You're a teenager now. So it's normal to look for your individuality. It's a really cool outfit." He speaks smiling while blinking.
"Oh! You are cool when you wish! I thought your taste for Ancient Egypt resonated with the present." The young man speaks in a joking tone.
"Yuugi, I can worship Ancient Egypt. However, I beg you not to compare me to a mummy." Sugoroku simulated to be scolding while the growing smile on his face gave him away.
At this, they both laugh, their laughter ceasing when they hear a knock on the kitchen door, with their grandfather getting up to open it, revealing the twins and the albino greeting Sugoroku and Yuugi, only to be greeted paternally by the grandfather of the young woman with tricolor hair and then, by the teenager.
Yukiko, Kisara and Nuru sit with them at the breakfast table, and then talk animatedly.
While his host ate his breakfast and chatted with his grandfather and friends, Atemu was in one of his rooms, more specifically in a kind of stone throne while he was in a reflective state.
The reason the young man finds himself sleepy is because he exaggerated the magic that made him fall asleep so that he could control his body while performing the modification of his memory about some of the events.
Now that he has moved away from the young man's soul chamber, after manipulating his memory and encouraging him to wear the black leather choker around his neck, he is surprised by his host's sudden interest in wearing the skin-tight vest for himself. Belts under his uniform, something that pleased him immensely, the lingering effect of his magic surged in full force.
In fact, he didn't need to have used his power at that intensity for fear that he'd wake up during Yami no Game because he didn't want to make it a habit to subdue him at all times despite being necessary to preserve the teenager's well-being as much as possible.
Now he knew the dosage he should use, without exceeding it, and was relieved that he had managed to erase the memory of Ushio's threat because he was incapacitated forever, trapped in the illusion of greed, making him no longer a threat for Yuugi and the others.
Atemu confessed that seeing the wounds inflicted by the Student Monitor, he felt an overwhelming urge to brutally torture him, in addition to punching him, breaking his bones for having made his cute host suffer.
After all, Pharaoh loved him with all the strength of his heart and ardently desired to protect him from the world that did not deserve such a noble and gentle soul. The spirit had fallen in love with the teenager as the years passed while he felt the unique nature and heart that were reflected in the warm and warm light that emanated from him and that had become his balm.
So, by having access to his memories and recollections, being able to enter the chamber of his soul that reflected his purity and his essence, the love he felt for Yuugi had been strengthened because all his assumptions about the nature of the young man were true and seeing him in person, lying peacefully on his bed with a serene face, he came to admire his stature and appearance, feeling his heart skip a beat at the sight of the face of angelic beauty. The teenager was as beautiful on the inside as he was on the outside, and his delicate appearance instilled a strong desire to protect him in his arms and to punish anyone who dared to make him suffer.
As he recalled the events after taking control of the young man's body, Atemu ends up remembering the mysterious woman and her overwhelming presence in a way he never thought possible as he felt the intensity of her magic and its level, believing it was too beyond what had felt.
In fact, she would be an unstoppable threat if she so wished and that was too troubling a thought for the Pharaoh because even if the albino did not prove to be a threat to the point of attacking him, she also made no mention of whether Becoming an enemy, the fact that his powers were immense, provoked a natural fear, with him remembering how much he needed to use his fierce and equally intense determination not to show his natural fear in front of such a powerful being.
At least, the being had maternal feelings for Yuugi, making the young man not in danger of life with her and this was something that left him calm, besides the fact that she allowed him to have his revenge and in a better way than he had imagined, with Atemu believing he would not release them from their nocturnal misery for years.
After all, I didn't believe her words because it was too surreal the idea of them becoming allies of their host, especially Jounouchi, at some point in the future despite the absolute conviction she displayed in her voice and posture when she believed in something so surreal for him.
Then, as it remembered the first time it saw Yuugi in person, the spirit begins to remember how the young man's skin was satiny to the touch, as well as his lips and hair as he ran his hands through his silky hair and then, by the entire epidermis exposed while he was immersed in the angelic and serene face while the young man was vulnerable, inciting in him the desire to protect him, more than he already felt.
The spirit closes its eyes and with a smile on its face, begins to experience through the memories, the sensations it experienced and how inviting the little lips were, promising the purest delight, with your mind reaching the point of imagining it without all those garments, believing that his body would be perfect because he was perfection in every way while he was like an angel who had to be protected tooth and nail.
Therefore, Pharaoh swore to himself that he would protect the youth who reflected the same preciousness and purity of a precious gem, just as was the amethyst in his large, expressive eyes.
Then, as he senses where his thoughts are taking him, he shakes his head sideways, trying to dispel them at the same time as he feels a discomfort in his groin, forcing him to close his eyes and soothe his partially awake member while I was grateful that he was sixteen soon because he didn't relish the idea of being attracted to someone so young, with the age of sixteen being partially acceptable to Atemu.
After getting his member back to normal, he decides to keep his mind on his control, getting back to focus on what he was doing before such thoughts came up that caused an uncomfortable situation in his groin.
His focus was to be aware of what was happening to his loved one, deciding that he should maintain his concentration so that he could capture any problem through the feelings that would be unconsciously sent to him because the Pharaoh would only have a few seconds to assimilate everything that happened as he placed the sleeping youth's consciousness in the bed of his soul chamber while taking control of his body, using his and the item's magic to replace Yuugi's body with his, at least partially, once that he could not change his face and stature, yet, so that any wounds he might suffer were directed only at him and not at the young man.
After all, taking care of his host was the least he could do in exchange for borrowing a physical body, even temporarily, making him feel alive, something he didn't have when he was in the form of a spirit and which could be an overly addictive feeling in a weaker mind, something Atemu didn't because his mind was strong enough to resist temptation along with the iron determination he possessed, reminding him that it was a temporary loan and that he should return the body as soon as he needed to take care of him in the period that was under his control.
Therefore, Pharaoh sought to transfer his body by taking control of Yuugi's body because in addition to protecting him, he could heal any previous wounds he had, just as he did with the wounds caused by Ushio, confessing that he wanted to invoke his body real, at least, in terms of stature and face at some point in the future.
As he thought about these moments in which he would take control, he was fully aware that the young man would begin to experience memory lapses no matter how much he tried to return the body as soon as possible, trying to reduce as much as possible this time of absence of memory in the teenager with amethyst eyes.
Therefore, Atemu was fully aware that he needed to be attentive to the other feelings coming from the young man, especially in case there was a change in his heart towards Sennen Aitemu, in case he started to suspect that his memory lapses might have something to do with the item, making you uncomfortable or afraid to use it, something the spirit could not allow.
After all, the Pharaoh needed the item's contact with his body to make the exchange and therefore, the removal of Sennen Pazuru from his host's body was not an acceptable hypothesis and when he thinks about it, he remembers the sensation he had felt and that it came from the item.
When remembering this feeling, the spirit senses that there was an external power that seemed to unite him to the young man and that was influencing Yuugi's decision to keep the item and not just because it was a treasure in the teenager's vision. It was an intense feeling, in addition to being aware that they were intrinsically united, that if the teenager died, he would die together because they both couldn't live if one of them was killed or destroyed as a result of fate uniting them both in an unbreakable way by keeping it together united them through the item, although the Pharaoh felt that there was something else and that it was too deep and just as powerful.
In fact, he felt that this power had united them long before the item was assembled, making Pharaoh consider the possibility that they were both predestined to be together, making their meeting not by chance of fate but something predestined because this would also explain the feeling that came from his host in the form of the desire to keep the item, plus the fact that Yuugi felt safe and calm when touching the golden surface, making him smile as he felt he could pass on his feelings of love and protection to comfort him when the golden surface was touched by the youth.
With that thought in his mind and a smile playing on his lips, Atemu reclines on his throne and allows himself to snooze, though his mind was connected to the young man's feelings to protect him the instant he was in danger with him deciding to reduce as much as possible the change of body to make your loved one's life as comfortable as possible by reducing the periods of memory lapses because I would hate to make someone so unique and who held your heart, suffer in fear of the absence of memories.
Of course, he couldn't avoid this feeling in the future, but he could reduce it as much as possible.
As he thought about the aspect of keeping his host from getting scared, Pharaoh had decided that he would only come out in his spirit form when the young man was asleep.
After all, if he left when Yuugi was awake, his host would be able to see him due to the fact that he to carry the Sennen Pazuru and if that happened, the young man would be terrified and rightly so, besides making people think he was crazy because only the teenager could see and hear him.
Furthermore, there was no reason to speak up when the teenager was awake because he could feel and observe everything he saw and felt if he wanted to, in addition to being able to quickly assimilate any information.
Of course, the ideal would be for him to stay outside.
However, if he did that, it would make him scared, ending up making him have problems as a result of his appearance with him along with the fact that he did not want the teenager to become aware of his existence, at least at the beginning.
