Chapter 30 - Dividing the preys
Behind the gym, the program director and a cameraman were hidden behind tall bushes that bordered a hallway-shaped area that had scant trees around it.
After a few minutes, the man is worried that the student will not show up and asks his assistant, "Are you sure the boy will come?"
"I think so..." The assistant responds while stammering, demonstrating his uncertainty.
"It's taking too long!" His superior roars, keeping himself hidden behind some bushes.
The subordinate glanced at his watch, then looked back, a frown on his face.
"Come on, kid! My job depends on you!" he exclaimed to himself.
Then he felt a mixture of surprise and relief to see the student approaching him, holding a bunch of flowers, causing him to exclaim in relief, "He came!"
Yuugi wore flushed cheeks as he found himself anxious while imagining an imaginary artist as he carried a bouquet of flowers he bought at a store near the school.
Upon seeing him, the program director displays a perverse happiness and orders his cameraman, "All right! Start shooting!"
"I'm glad you came! You took your time." The assistant talks to himself as the camera starts recording.
"Where's the star, Fujita-san?" Mutou asks with obvious concern in his speech after looking around.
The assistant leans down to speak close to his ear while the tricolor-haired youth arched his brows as he leaned sideways towards the man to hear better.
"I won't even tell you! Listen here..."
Then, the assistant strikes Yuugi's right cheek, who is disoriented at first, trying to understand what happened.
"What?" he mentally asks himself.
Still hidden behind the bushes, the program director orders with a crazed smile as he finds himself immersed in cruel pleasure, "Very good! Give me a prettier one!"
Yuugi is held firmly by the head while he was dizzy from the blow he took, with the assistant deciding to carry out the order given as he prepared to throw another punch.
"Are you retarded? There are no artists... Here!" He exclaims the end, then hits the young man again.
One of Mutou's eyes was slightly swollen and partially closed while the other was partially open when he heard a familiar voice.
"Stop this!"
Jonouchi angrily rushes towards the assistant as he exclaims, "What are you doing with him?"
Then, with one arm, he pushes the man back while catching his injured friend with the other arm.
"Yuugi! Are you alright?" Katsuya exclaims in a voice immersed in concern.
After carefully settling him on the ground upon realizing that his friend was disoriented by the two violent blows he took, he turns to the aggressor and lifts him by the collar, raising his fist while exclaiming angrily, "Why are you did this to my friend? I'm going to finish you!"
Terrified by the enraged teenager's posture, he fakes a face of regret immersed in the fear that was the only real feeling.
"I didn't want to do any of that...The program director ordered me to do it." He speaks stuttering.
"Program director?" Katsuya asks, her face showing confusion.
"Nice. Enough. You can go, Fujita." The director speaks, coming out of his hiding place.
Jonouchi displays a face that was a mixture of disgust and anger as he asked in confirmation tones to let go of the aggressor, mistakenly believing that the assistant had done all that because he was forced, unaware of the fact that the man had enjoyed the strike Yuugi while glad that the teenager had believed his lie, "Are you the bastard director who ordered that man to hit Yuugi?"
As the man walked away from the scene after being released by the blonde, Yukiko and the twins arrive in time to hear his question.
The man didn't answer and just smiled cruelly while the teenager heard a moan of pain that made him approach his friend, and then catch him with one arm.
"Talk to me, Yuugi!"
"Yuugi-kun!" The half dragon exclaimed, running towards them, pretending to be surprised.
"Yuugi-kun! What happened?" A tanned runs to her friend.
"Oh! Kami-sama! Yuugi-kun!" The silver one exclaims following her sister.
Yuugi was very weak from the blows he took and mutters when he sees the blonde and his friends surrounding him, "I'm sorry. It looks like there's no artist here... I was going to beg, even on my knees, for her to allow me to you saw her after promising that I would find her alone. So I hid it from you. Forgive me..."
"It's not your fault! It's these liars' fault!" Katsuya exclaims with fury evident on her face.
They arch their brows at Jounouchi who briefly explains what happened while the director ordered his cameraman, who was still in hiding unlike his superior, "Stop recording it's a waste of time! This tacky friendship doesn't give an audience!"
So, looking at the teenagers as if they were trash while wiping one ear with his finger, he decides to answer the question asked earlier.
"It was very unlucky that he was chosen to play the victim. It was a fluke. It's like rolling a dice and taking one right away." He gives a laugh of derision at the end.
Then, displaying a face full of satisfaction adorned with an evil smile, the program director speaks with intense happiness in his voice, "But thanks to you, I got some great scenes. Viewers are going to feel pity of you and we are going to have a great audience! Yuugi, you are going to be the hero of our TV network!""
"Don't tease me you bastard!" Jonouchi exclaims infuriated.
Yukiko, Nuru and Kisara showed the purest fury on her face as she glared at him, preparing to strike him along with Katsuya who had come forward, grabbing the headmaster's shirt to give him a blow.
"Are you angry? Know that your violence against me will be videotaped." the Program Director speaks with derision in his voice after chuckling.
Katsuya looks surprised as he looks at the cameraman, as well as the twins and half dragon who are about to strike him.
When the director sees the teenager distracted by the camera, he knee him hard in the abdomen, causing Katsuya to fall to the ground as he assimilates the intense pain in his abdomen and the unconsciousness that threatens to overwhelm him.
"Jounouchi-kun!" Yuugi exclaims, getting up, then running to his friend who had fallen to the ground.
"Jounouchi-kun!" Nuru exclaims going over to his friend.
"No! Jounouchi-kun!" Kisara approaches him, standing next to her sister.
Yukiko looks at the program director and exclaims, twisting her fists, "Bastard!"
"Uh! I see you're mad. It's a shame you're mad at me. You're very beautiful and would make TV hits, just like those two. Well, after that, I think it's silly to propose something to you three."
They look in a mixture of disgust and fury at the man while the princess of dragons starts to show anger in her face.
"He's just a cowardly mouse who uses the camera to keep people from hitting him. Without that cameraman, you wouldn't be brave."
"How dare you...!"
Then, he stops talking at the same time that a strange mist emerges that surrounds the place, making the twins display glazed eyes, just like Katsuya and before the mist envelops the place, the Sennen Pazuru had discreetly glowed as Atemu took control of the his host's body after putting him to sleep, with Yuugi finding himself sleeping in the bed of his soul chamber.
Before he finished taking control, Pharaoh had entered the room and saw Yuugi who was sleeping peacefully in bed.
He approaches the same, kneeling in front of him, showing fury in his eyes as he mentally visualizes the wounds of his beloved that makes him twist his fists while he rose, dedicating himself to gently brushing the young man's cheek, to then back away, stepping out of the adolescent's soul chamber as he felt the purest fury at remembering the wounds on such a gentle and pure soul.
As he opens his eyes, with a golden eye appearing on his forehead as two Ankh appear, one on each wrist, to help connect with that body, he looks sideways, noticing the familiar mist that shrouded the place in a kind of cloak magic.
Then, Pharaoh arches his brow as he looks at Katsuya bent over, showing pain on his face by the violent knee in his stomach while his host's friends beside them, display glazed eyes, as does Jounouchi, their spirit unaware of the fact that that the Yukiko he saw was fake because the real one had created a clone that was a replica of her so that her true identity would not be revealed.
Atemu notices the familiar fog getting thicker and as he looks at Katsuya again, he becomes thoughtful about his actions until he snaps out of his thoughts because he has more pressing matters to deal with.
The spirit looks to its right side and sees the terrified director, then sees the cameraman who was lying unconscious on the floor.
"Why didn't he show his presence as soon as he conjured that magical mist?" he asks without looking at any particular point.
So, Yukiko, who had returned to her original adult body, hidden in the same mask and cloak as she used to after modifying her scent and magical presence.
"Well... what's the problem with me having fun with prey?" She speaks in a false joyful voice because Pharaoh knew she was furious for what they did to the one she saw as a dear son.
After all, he had heard about the fury of dragons. Only a madman or a suicidal one would provoke the wrath of a dragon.
Atemu rolls his eyes and looks at the albino that had appeared on his right side as he stepped out of the surrounding fog.
"The problem is that this bastard is my prey, as well as the one who struck the mou hitori no ore."
"You know you wouldn't stand a chance against me in a straight confrontation. Besides, I don't see any reason for us to fight when there are two prey. We just split between ourselves."
Despite smirking, he was still furious at what they had done to his beloved host.
However, he was fully aware of the level difference between them and that he should be grateful to be able to take revenge on one of them because the being beside him wanted to share the fangs.
"In fact, there are two preys and we can split them. Did you know I'm surprised to allow me to have one of the bastards so I can get revenge for what they did to mou hitori no ore?" The spirit speaks after sighing.
"I'm not hungry and I understand you need your revenge for what they did to my beloved son. I want the assistant who hit him. You take the boss. What do you think?"
After a few minutes, Atemu sighs and nods.
"Fine. I accept the split."
"Great! I'm going to create an illusion that he's in the parking lot of the station and that the show had a great audience. That way you'll be able to apply Yami no Game to him because he's no longer afraid and will be unaware of the fact that he is in a magical fog and not in the station's parking lot. I'll also modify his perception and thoughts. Furthermore, I'll modify the memory of Yuugi's friends to forget about the director. For all intents and purposes it was a student who attacked him make them not remember the director and the cameraman. They'll only remember the assistant's face, but I'll make them think it was a student and that he ran away after a henchman showed up and hit Jounouchi, allowing them both to run away. Yuugi's memories. As for Yuugi, he didn't see his henchman as he was disoriented by the blows he took. Therefore, you must make his memories fuzzy after he was hit the second time, making him unable to stay to receive the second partner, thus letting him know the reason for being here and what he said to his friends, avoiding any lapse of memory, so that he doesn't get scared. After you apply the fate reserved for this bastard after he loses Yami no Game, I will magically take him somewhere. After all, it would be weird for him to be here at school. As for the cameraman, I'm going to do something with his memories and I'm going to move him somewhere else at the same time I'm going to erase the footage. As for his memories, I'll give you new memories. You can let me clean up this mess because I don't want Yuugi and the others to have any problems because of these bastards."
"I understand. I'll create that memory for him. In fact, it's better to avoid the memory lapses and the emergence of too many questions, ending up getting the police's attention, all the more so because we're going to avenge him."
"Yes. It's the best we can do. Now, I'm going to hunt down the bastard who hit Yuugi's cute and you deal with the headmaster."
In the meantime, ever since the half dragon cast that spell in the area, the terrified program director had tried to move away from the spot by running away, with Yukiko's magical mist making him return to the same spot he had just left. leave, making him even more terrified, and then the man realizes that the environment around him changed when it became cloudy, starting to clear up after a few seconds as it assumed the appearance of inside the TV station parking lot and that the car was he himself was in front of him, with the key in his hands, to later feel an intense pain in his mind.
After the pain stopped, he forgot about it and that he was in a fog, starting to believe that it was already night and that he was leaving work, with the princess of the dragons trying to recreate the scene of the original events exactly, more precisely where Atemu would apply Yami in the game because her and the twins' existence had caused some changes and she needed to fix them.
In this case, the scene consisted of the program director approaching his car with the keys in his hands as a man walked by, commenting on the program because Yukiko had been faithful to the scene, including in the lines, "Congratulations on that program. We had a good reception."
"The key is to have a good bait. That way we hook the audience easily." He responds as he puts the key in the car door after laughing.
"See you tomorrow." The other man created by illusion says goodbye.
"What if I killed someone in front of the TV? It would be even better!" The director comments to himself while he smiles evilly after laughing evilly.
Smiling, Pharaoh approaches his victim after having decided which Yami no Game to apply to him by remembering one of his comments.
Then the program director turns around as he sees the teenager's reflection approaching him through the side mirror of his car.
