NEW BEGINNINGS
this came to me after listening to a song by Annie Lennox. Hope you like it. It will take place after Edward left Bella in the woods,in New Moon. Bella hasn't' been to Voltera, yet. But remembered things Edward had told her about the royal vampires and she was curious.
Sam found Bella in the woods, behind her house. Charlie had been searching for her for hours. Sam brought Bella out of the woods, carrying her. Charlie took Bella from Sam, took her in the house and laid her on her bed. All Bella would say is "he's gone. He's just gone" and then she would cry. She was lethargic for over a month. Charlie asked Jake to come over and visit Bella. But his visits were no good. All Bella did was cry for Edward. She told Jake "I have to find him. I can't breath without him" Jake was angry at the way Edward had just left Bella with nothing to go on.
Bella had decided to go find Edward, on her own. Charlie and she would get into arguments about it all the time. Bella took it upon herself to go find him. She was worried if he was hurt or lost. She laughed about it, because she shouldn't feel anything. He was a prick for leaving her, like that. Charlie told her if she left to go find him then she was to never come back. She asked Jake if he would take her to the airport so she could fly to Italy. Jake was against it, at first. Then when he saw her eyes light up at the possibility. He agreed. Bella packed a bag with her stuff and gave Charlie the finger when she left. Charlie stood at the door and watched her and Jake drive off.
Bella was nervous. She had heard all the horror stories of the Vulturi but she had to do something. Edward had told Bella that Felix, the extremely tall and dark guard liked her, so she would ask for Felix. Bella was shaking so hard, her teeth were clicking. They had come to Forks to check up on the Cullen family while Bella was there, at their house. Felix was curious as to why Bella was still human.
When she arrived at her destination she knocked on the huge doors, at the entrance. She finally just pushed the doors open and walked inside. There was a receptionist desk and the woman asked her if she could help her. Bella asked for Felix and said her name. The woman picked up the phone, spoke in Italian and she hung up. Felix walked through the doors and said "BELLA! Such a nice surprise What are you doing here, are you alone?" Bella explained why she was there. Felix smiled and offered his hand. Bella took his hand, which was very large and followed him to the throne room. She met Aro, Marcus, and said "BELLA, BENVENUTO!, What brings you here alone?" Felix explained and Aro clapped, once Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh OK we shall see if we can help. Felix could tell Bella was nervous. He held her hand a little tighter. Aro reached for Bella's hands. Felix growled, under his breath, which made Aro smile. He knew that Bella was Felix's mate. Aro took Felix aside and told him what Bella was to him. Felix smiled.
Bella? Why did you come to us? We have never met. Yet you come here to seek our help. Why?
When I was still with Edward. He had told me several things about you all. And showed me a huge portrait of all of you. So you were the first people I thought of that might be able to help me. "Why do you seek Edward, if he hurt you?" Bella shrugged. "I mainly want to make sure he is OK and then, hopefully punch his face" Aro chuckled under his breath. Felix smiled and chuckled also. " I also came here hoping you would change me" "you want to be changed?" "Yes, Edward would never allow it. If I ever brought it up he would get angry" Aro shook his head "Animal blood is making them go crazy" "Bella if you would like to be changed, we can arrange that, but you would have to live here if that is your decision" "That is fine, I have nowhere else to go" Felix picked Bella up and hugged her and swung her around. "Felix, I can't breath" Felix sat her down, and apologized. Aro clapped his hands. "perfect" I shall introduce you to everyone. Jane and Bella became fast friends.
Felix explained to Bella that she was his mate. Bella smiled. "I like that" "you do?" "yes, I thought I was Edwards, but apparently not." "No, if you were true mates, he would have never been able to leave you like that." "So, you know for a fact that I am your mate?" "yes. When Aro touched your hands I growled. That was a warning growl" When male vampires have a true mate we get very possessive" . "So, if you decide to change then we will be mates forever" "Will you be the one to change me?" "Yes if that is what you decide" "When can we do this?" "When would you like to?" "NOW, the sooner the better" Felix excused himself to let Aro and the others know of Bella's decision. Aro clapped. "We shall have a celebration first. So Bella will be changed. Aro, and Felix were extremely happy. Felix went back to Bella. "We are having a celebration for you. A way to show our appreciation. "Felix, where will I stay?" "you can stay in my room, or you can have your own room, that is up to you" " I think I would like my own room, for a bit" "OK" Felix called for Jane "Yes, Felix how may I help you?" Please set miss Bella up in the room next to mine". Jane nodded and left the room She came back to get Bella and show her, her room. Bella was in awe. The room was huge and had gorgeous items in it. Beautiful paintings and gold inlaid furniture "Jane, it's beautiful" Jane smiled. And left Bella to herself.
Later, that night they had the celebration. Felix told Bella, "After the celebration, I shall change you. Would you like to do this in your room, or mine?" " Either way I will be by your side, until the transformation is complete." "OK, then your room, please" Felix smiled. He had a feeling he would be smiling a lot now that Bella will be in his life. Bella whispered to Felix " I have never had relations with anyone" "Felix asked "Not even Edward?" "No, he was afraid he would hurt me" Felix just shook his head. "Stupid vampire" Bella smiled. "You are much taller and weigh more than Edward, so that has me scared, a bit" "don't worry Amore, I won't hurt you. At least not mating with you. Sadly, the transformation will hurt, and I apologize for that, now" Bella reached up and rubbed his cheek, "don't worry, I understand. Felix looked at Bella with wonder. She was so kind and understanding. How could Edward just throw her away like that? Felix growled. Bella stepped back. Felix took her hand and placed it back on his cheek. "I'm sorry Amore I was just thinking about the stupid, ungrateful, Edward and how he hurt you." Tears welled up in her eyes. Felix growled again. "Amore, please, don't cry, it hurts me to see you so upset."
Bella told Felix "I'm ready" So Felix went to Aro, "She is ready" Aro clapped his hands and then the three brothers, along with Jane and Alec went to the room where Bella will be changed. Felix explained. I will feed on you, first. That will not have venom. I must taste your blood first though. It will hurt. But the transformation bite will,burn, I'm so sorry he laid her flat on her back with her arms by her sides. "Aro will hold your arms down. Felix leaned down and said "Are you sure, Amore?" "Bella nodded her head. Felix turned Bella's head to one side and moved her hair. Bella tilted her head up a bit and smiled. Felix noticed a stray tear fall down her cheek. "Amore?" "I"m fine Felix. Just do it, I"m ready, to set my spirit free" With that Felix bit down and Bella screamed, she screamed louder than she ever has before. More tears fell. Felix could smell her tears and sobbed. Felix listened to her heart. Her heart was still strong. So he drank a bit more. Aro touched Felix's arm "Enough Felix, she is getting weak. Felix stopped. He looked Bella in the face and said "Amore, this bite will start the burn. I will see you in 3 days. I love you. Stay strong. I won't leave your side. He bit down above her breast. Then her upper arm and then her wrist, each time licking the wound closed. Bella screamed, again. Then again, and again. With each scream Felix sobbed. He stood up and excused himself. Jane walked with him. Before he left Bella's bedside he touched her cheek and said "Amore, I will be back shortly" Then he walked off. When he walked outside, to the back courtyard, Jane was by his side. She tried to sooth, and calm him. "Felix, it is what she wanted." "I know, Jane, but I love her and it makes me sick to know what she is going through and I am the one that caused it." "Felix, you are the one she wanted. She will be fine. About that time they both heard her scream, again. Jane gasped and Felix squeezed Jane's hand. "Jane, hearing that just makes me want to cry. " I know what she is going through and I hate it, for her, and me" Jane smiled. "My brother, she is your mate, and will be forever now. And she will live here, with us. she will be one of us. She will be strong and The Cullen's' won't be an influence on her ever again." " I could kill Edward for abandoning her like he did. How could he?" Felix yelled. "She is a beautiful soul, and ever forgiving. Even after what he did to her. She deserved better" "Now she has you, brother. Someone she deserves, you deserve her also. You have waited a lifetime for her". Bella screamed again. Felix took off towards his room. Aro, and the others looked up. Felix looked down at Bella. "I'm back, Amore. I won't leave you again until you have woken" and he laid down beside her. Aro motioned for everyone to leave. Felix was happy to be alone with Bella. He talked to her and he finally read to her from his favorite book. Bella smiled and sighed. Felix smiled, knowing he wouldn't have much longer to wait. That last night was the longest he has ever had. Bella tossed and turned. She would tremble and whine. But she never cried out, again. The next morning. Felix had Jane bring Bella a change of clothes, to his room. When she woke. Felix would suggest a shower. Felix was standing across the room, when he heard her heart stop. She sat up, screamed and then said "Felix?" He turned to her and sat down, next to her. "Amore?, how are you feeling?" She touched her throat. "Thirsty, extremely thirsty" "Come my Amore, lets find you someone to drink. Bella frowned. Felix picked Bella up and placed her on his shoulder. He 'floated' to the throne room. Aro clapped "Ahhh , Bella, perfetto" "Aro, she is thirsty" "Aro motioned to them, both, to the lower floor, where the new humans were held. "Amore, chose who you would like" Bella just stood there and looked at Felix. Felix continued. "While here, Amore, you shall feed on humans" Bella nodded and walked over to a large man who looked confused. Bella grabbed the man by his throat and began to drink. She finally drained him completely. When she was finished she tossed him out of her way and looked for approval for a second victim. Aro nodded "Please Bella, chose another if you would like" She had spotted a woman that looked, and smelled very pleasant . The woman tried to crawl away from Bella, but Bella was on her in a split second. She had the woman by the throat and bit down before the woman realized what had happened. Bella drained that woman faster than the man. She tossed the woman on top of the man she had previously drained. Stood up, wiped her mouth with the back of her hand and said "full now" and smiled at both Aro and Felix. Aro was pleased with Bella.
Meanwhile in Chicago
Alice let out a loud scream. Edward fell to his knees, grabbed his head and yelled NO, NOT BELLA! WHAT HAVE I DONE? Carlisle and the rest of the family just stared at Edward. He was sobbing now. Rocking back and forth on his knees, chanting, no, no, no, not her. Carlisle questioned Alice. "What is wrong?" Alice explained what she had seen. Carlisle nodded in acknowledgment. "Alice, do you still see here there?" yes, Carlisle she is there and I believe she is going to be Felix's mate. At that Edward moaned louder, "noooooooooooooooooo she can't. Why is she doing this? "Well Edward you are the one that left, remember? Rose said sarcastically. Edward just glared at Rose. "I thought I was helping her" "Well, dumb ass you weren't "What can we do, Carlisle?" Edward asked. "Well, there really isn't anything we can do, seems Bella has made her choice" Alice just nodded her head. Carlisle said that they could fly to Italy and check on Bella, if Edward and Alice would like. They both nodded their heads. Alice made sure to check the future , which seemed to be doing fine, so far.
Back in Volterra
Jane went to Aro "Master, the Cullen's are on their way. Carlisle, Edward and Miss Alice. Aro clapped. "Splendid, Then I can get answers from mister Edward, himself. Please, Jane, inform Felix and miss Bella of their arrival. Jane went towards their bedrooms. Bella had moved into Felix's' room by now. She was in the shower when she heard the knock on the bedroom door. Jane informed Felix of the guest arriving. Felix growled, loudly. And he smashed his balled up fist down onto his dresser, making a large gash in said furniture. Bella walked out of the bathroom with a nice thick white robe around her naked body. Felix purred under his breath. "Amore, you are beautiful, just as your name suggest. Bella smiled, walked over to Felix, then proceeded to rip his shirt off. Then she ran her hands over his chest and she purred too. Felix eyes were dark, and menacing. He picked Bella up and placed her on his bed. "Bella, we mate now?" "yes, please. I've been waiting. That is the main reason I asked to move in here, now. Felix smiled. And nodded his head. "Remember, I'm new at this." "Amore this entire visit here has been for all of your new beginnings. "Are you happy?" "yes, I can truly say yes, I am happy" That made Felix's' heart swell with pride and love. He has never been in love before and he likes the way it makes him feel. Felix whispered in her ear" La mia Bella" Bella smiled and nodded. She put her arms around his neck and he hovered over her. Placing one hand on either side of her head."I'm unsure if this will hurt you, if it does, I apologize, now mia Bella, amore" Bella held herself closer to his face and kissed him, hard. She had been waiting for this. She had wanted to mate with him before her change. He entered her, slowly. Bella gasped when he entered her, completely. A sob left her throat. Felix stopped and rubbed her forehead and apologized. Bella told him to continue, she was fine. He promised her that the next time would be more enjoyable for her. She smiled, said "I love you Felix" and kissed his lips. When Felix climaxed he bit down on Bellas' neck and she did the same to Felix. It was natural for them to do,so Bella didn't need explanation.
Later that evening the Cullen's arrived. Felix was summoned to the throne room. Bella was expected also. Bella was hidden behind Felix with his cape covering her. Felix heard her growl, lightly, he patted her side and Bella knew she had to be quiet.
Aro asked "Carlisle, old friend. Why the visit?" "Alice, my daughter saw a vision and we wanted to see if it was true" "What kind of vision?" Alice spoke "I saw Bella coming to you and you changed her and I saw her becoming Felix's mate and she drank two humans". "Ahhhh, well it seems your vision was true" Edward yelled "WHY?" Bella stepped out from behind Felix Edward looked into Bellas's eyes. Now a combination brown and red,dropped to his knees."Bella, why? Why would you do this?""Well lets see Edward you left me in the woods behind my house telling me that I wasn't good enough for you or your family and then you just walked off. No Fuck you or see you later or anything. Just nothing. I was out there for 2 fucking days Edward. You have no right to ask of my decisions so go the fuck away. I am happy, finally, I have my true mate as she looked up at Felix and smiled. Edward could tell they had mated and claimed each other. He could smell it. Which made Edward grimace. Bella just smiled. "What's wrong Edward? Don't like what you see? Jane walked over to Bella, took her hand and nodded with a smile. Jane looked to Aro who nodded and Jane whispered "pain" and Edward fell and started writhing on the floor. Alice screamed for her to stop but then Alice joined Edward on the floor. Bella just stood there and smiled. Felix said "serves you right, Edward, for treating my Amore with such disdain. Edward couldn't talk. Aro stopped Jane. "I suggest you all leave and leave Bella in your memories. She is happy and well cared for here.
Bella said "Better yet, forget me. As I will forget you all. And Fuck you all to hell. Edward whispered "Love the new language Bella. Guess that human blood is really going to your head. Felix growled LOUDLY "Do not ever talk to my Amore again or I will rip your head off, or I will allow Amore to do it, she deserves payback, don't you think?"
Later that night. Bella and Felix made love and Felix was right, this time was much more enjoyable. Bella relaxed in his arms and sighed "I love you Felix" "As I love you Bella" Bella jumped up and took off running, naked. Felix laughed, a good solid laugh. He caught her in the back courtyard and they made love on the grounds. She was laughing the entire time as was Felix. "Bella I have never been this happy until now. Thank you for giving me this feeling of euphoria. I love how carefree you are, around everyone. "Bella?, would you like for us to get married?" "Felix, nothing against you, but there is no need for us to marry. If you would like me to take you name, then I will do that. We can just be a happy couple who has opted to just use the others name, sound good? "But, if you really want to marry, then yes, I will but honestly is there really a reason?" "So, I will give you a ring, I have had in my possession for centuries and you will become Bella Volturi?" "yes, that will do just fine" "I will have Aro oversee the change. It must be put on paper, for our records." Bella smiled and kissed Felix. Felix went to his room, found the ring and placed it on Bella's finger. "it's perfect, amore" Then he kissed the ring and her finger. Felix and Bella went to the throne room where all three men were seated. Felix explained to Aro what he and Bella had decided. Aro was happy. "Ahhhh so we have gained a new family member. I shall record this." He left behind a huge door and came back with a large book and pen. He wrote down Felix's name then asked Bella "What is your full given name?" "Isabella Marie Swan" "Felix smiled now you will be a Volturi and that makes me so happy" Bella wondered if Felix had a last name or if he was so old that he doesn't remember. Aro had them both sign their names on the form. Aro stated "we need another celebration. We haven't had a union here in centuries" This time it will be humans as food and not human food and everyone laughed. Bella was so happy that she was giddy. She asked for Jane. She wanted to share her news, in person with Jane. Aro pulled Felix aside. "I have a gift for our new member. After Bella's change she had gained a power. She was a shield, a strong one. Aro wanted her on the guard line so he gave her a cloak it was black with red inside. Like Felix had. Aro wanted Bella to stand with him during official meetings. Felix was so proud of Bella. He couldn't wait to tell her. When he told Bella she was surprised. But she accepted her new position with honor.
Chapter 13
Later, that night. Bella was very playful and Felix played along. He loved feeling like a kid, . Bella was running, fast, around the back courtyard and teasing Felix about how slow he was. Felix would growl and run towards her but she would project a shield and Felix would bounce off it as he got closer, Bella would roll around laughing at him. He would keep doing this just to see and hear her laugh. She needed to get her mind off of the Cullens and Edward. Bella ran past Felix and into the castle. Felix ran after her. She ran past Aro and Caius then followed Felix. Aro said "so nice to hear laughter, for a change" Caius just snorted, he's so serious. Childs play did not amuse him like it did Aro. Bella ran to their bedroom Felix was not far behind. Bella ran and jumped onto the bed. Then stripped herself of her night gown. Felix stood with his back to the large dresser and growled at Bella. Bella said "ooooooh, big scary vampire, I'm so scared then smiled at Felix" Felix took 2 giant steps toward Bella and Bella said "OK, OK, sorry. And Felix roared this powerful laugh "thought you weren't scared Amore?" "I will have my way with you, you little tease, I wish I could taste you, again, your blood is so sweet" "Do you miss me being human?" "no, amore, I would have surely killed you, by now, if you were still human" "I love you as you are" He had on his cloak but nothing , underneath. He pounced on Bella, she shrieked, and he was in her before she knew what had happened. He had covered her, completely, with his cloak. You could not see Bella due to his cloak ,between that and his body, Bella was hard to find. There was a light knock on their door. "Enter," said Felix and he started tickling Bella. She squirmed under him and was trying to stifle her laughter. It was Jane. Sorry, brother, I thought Bella was here. About that time Jane saw a hand come out from under Felix and wave at her. "Bella?" "O my god, Felix you shouldn't have told me to come in" "I'm so sorry, I will leave now" Bella started laughing, "it's OK Jane, he seems to want to tickle me instead of what a husband should be doing while on top of his wife" Then Bella screamed, with laughter. About that time Felix went flying across the room, which left Bella naked, Jane grabbed a blanket to cover Bella. "did you throw my brother across the room"? "Yes, sorry Felix" "it's OK amore, I shouldn't have tickled you and make you scream, I should have known better" "Bella? Was that from your shield?" Bella smiled and nodded.
Chapter 14
I'm adding this tidbit because I left it out of the first chapter, sorry. Before Felix bit me he asked if I would like to write to anyone, from home. I wrote to Jake, Charlie and Rene. Jake I told the truth. To my parents I told them that Edward and I had broke up and I had decided to go visit Italy and while there I met and fell in love with a wonderful man named Felix and decided to stay with him.
Chapter 15
Several months later Aro decided he wanted to travel to Forks due to the grapevine humming about some newborn and wolf fight that was supposed to happen. They arrived at SeaTac in their private jet on a Friday afternoon. They followed the sounds and smells. Bella was standing guard with Aro and Jane. Bella had Aro on the right side. Jane had Aro by the left side. When they arrived in the field, Bella and Jane held hands. This made Aro happy. Bella made Jane happy. When the Cullen family arrived they saw Bella and gasped. She had on a guard cloak and it was kept closed with a beautiful broach. Aro said it belonged to his sister, Marcus' wife. Bella was so proud to wear it. She was happy. Very happy. So glad she decided to visit Italy. The outcome was better than she hoped for.
Rose smiled and nodded to Bella. Bella returned the gesture. Jasper gave Bella a crooked smile and a "are you OK" mouthed" Bella nodded to Jasper. Edward went to walk forward, Jane squeezed Bellas hand and Bella held her hand up to Edward and shook her head. Edward stopped and looked down, he had a frown on his face. Bella smirked at Edward. She flipped Alice the finger. Esme said "Bella, how are you?" Bella smiled at Esme. "I couldn't be happier, Esme, thank you" Esme smiled and mouthed "good"
During the fight, which Aro allowed, Bella saw Jake, in wolf form. She begged Aro to allow her to guard Jake. Aro nodded. Bella threw her shield off towards Jake. He saw Bella , lowered his head and whimpered. He sauntered off, still whimpering. She wanted to go after him but she did not. Aro smiled at Bella. "Don't worry, little one, he will be fine" She smiled a weak smile at Aro.
May I speak with Edward, father? Aro smiled. He loved it that Bella has taken to calling him father. Aro waved his arm towards Edward, showing Bella she could proceed. Bella walked to Edward, head down and said "I hope you find your true mate, whether they be human or immortal. Either way I would like to give you some advice. listen to what they say, if not you will be alone for more centuries. If they are human and want to be immortal, then let them. It's their life, not yours. Then Bella reached for his face and slapped him. Then smiled and walked off. She heard Emmett, "about damn time, girl"
Aro hugged Bella and asked "feel better?" Bella smiled and said "no, not really, sir. I would prefer to pull that smirk off his face, permanently. Aro hugged Bella and motioned for Felix. Felix came over, and pulled Bella into a huge hug. Off to the side they all could hear Edward's lowly growl, displeased of Bella's position, Bella laughed. Felix picked up Bella and started walking off. Back on the plane Bella settled on Felix's lap and sat there the entire flight home. She was happy. Felix had his arms around her and she had her head againt his chest. She sighed and smiled. "Felix, thank you" "For what Amore?" "For having me as your mate. I never knew I could be this happy" He lifted her face, kissed her, and said "You have made me just as happy, so I should thank you also. You make me feel young, again. "Bella?, back in our room, months ago, you refered me as your husband, do you truly feel that way?" "Felix I hold your name, do I not?" "yes, amore" "And we signed the 'offical' document" "Yes" "then yes, you, to me, are my husband now" "Felix kissed Bella, then they slid down on the seat. Bella on her back and Felix covering her entire body. Aro said "not now my brother, wait for home, please" "Bella giggled" "sorry, father, we got caught up in the moment" Felix sat up and helped Bella up. were smiling. Caius was mumbling unapproving comments.
Upon their arrival home Bella took Felix by the hand and ran towards their room. "Amore, why the hurry?" "We need to finish what we started, on the plane" Felix growled, picked Bella up and ran. Aro was smiling. He did a lot of smiling now that Bella had joined the family. Felix tossed Bella on the bed and came at her, growling the entire time. He kissed her passionatly, she started purring. Felix said "I love when you do that, amore" "I love being able to do it. Letting you know how I feel, and how happy I am." " I never thought I would feel love again, after loosing Edward and his family." Felix moved Bella's hair out of her face. "shhh Amore, never think of them again. They were poison to you" Bella grabbed Felix's hand. "I need to fix this" Felix was confused. "Fix what?" "your nails, you need a manicure" Felix shook his head. "See you make me smile"
Later, that night. Bella had made Felix sit and she worked on his fingernails. She even had Jane find some black nail polish. She painted his nails, black. He actually liked it. Later in the week Bella ended up doing all the mens nails, Aro, Caius and Marcus had black nails now. Jane and Bella became closer as the years passed. Caius found his mate, finally and became much more calm, his mate helped calm him. She was human, but was turned about a month after he found her. Jane found her's also which depressed Bella. Jane didn't have as much time for Bella, like she used to. Jane apologized to Bella but Bella understood. Janes mate was a vampire when they met and became mates. Bella did like Janes mate, but the jealousy was there due to Janes mate being female.
Bella was still extrememly happy and never regretted her choice of coming to Italy and mating with Felix.
