AN: I might've missed a couple of things here and there so sit back relax and enjoy the chapter.
Where did things go wrong everything in the sea was ten times worse than the were in the lake. ALL manner of creatures were found underneath the waters. Giant crabs and huge deadly venomous predators were down there its crazy because i had to adapt or die down there. The things down there i encountered while swimming in the sea bit harder and poisoned me. Crustaceans and similar creatures had huge pinchers and spikes.
I was practically a beach hobo for the moment - i remember watching Tom Hanks Castaway ehh it's pretty much the same situation. That dirty dog had found some way of getting into my inventory and kept eating my catch. The temporary base i had set up for the moment was right next to a cove on the coast my ramshackle hut built out of leaves and twigs. Was small compared to the huge series of tunnels that were on the inside of the cave.
This area would be a great starting point in my dream to become Poseidon of this world. But my setbacks were dragging me all over the place. First i needed to find a base underwater for the starting point for my dream of Atlantis it's going to be a huge city with a whole lot of marble. Actually i don't know how to work with different types of stone. I was just going to claim the territory i never actually thought far enough ahead on how to get an underwater breathing skill.
I wonder what goku was up to today, well its only been a few months now since i last seen him so he most likely just met oolong by now. Travel times in this world were rough and the anime pretty much skipped over how long goku actually spent during every one of his adventures. I couldn't really guess the differences of travel time when it comes between comparing the anime and real life.
It was finally time again to get my feet wet again. So to speak i entered the ocean waters again. The salty water began to sting my eyes as i took another glimpse of the massive amounts of coral reefs.
I still hadn't gotten to the dropoff point but i have found a few underwater caves. The underwater caves held alot of materials like gemstones stuck to the wall. I thought it would be a good idea to travel further into the ocean than i ever gone before as i traveled deeper down i passed by many large coral before finally finding the perfect coral to live inside it was giant more than all the others in the area. My future home was a giant coral with multitude of colors probably all surrounding the thing.
I could just use this place and live here while building my Atlantis over the next few years. I had even found an underwater cave that i was going to use that had a fresh pocket of air. I was going to use it as a temporary base in order to reach deeper into the ocean. The giant coral was connected with the underground cave and the inside of the coral was hollowed out and filled with air.
This place would work as my starter base while i scope out and start conquering the seas. My dreams of mermaids were getting closer and closer each passing day. The first natural dungeon i found was inside a gigantic ancient animal skeleton it was filled with more of those crabs from the shore. It had taken me the whole day to clear every crab in that room that dungeon was difficult up until i had received more and more level updates those had really saved my bacon. There was even a different variation of the crab that shot poison bubbles at me they were also challenging up until the super big boss crab that was guarding the treasure room spawned.
The reality of that fight was that i was struggling the entire time. I was crushed multaple times into the floor but i had been fighting these things all day long had gained enough levels battling every level i gained would trigger my zenkai and leveled up my kamehameha all throughout the day. The power level of this thing was probably around fifty the smaller crabs i been fighting all day long were all around twenty five to thirty my own power level must be around eighty to have fought for so long but i have advantage im a primate and can plan ahead while this creature was mostly reactive it keeped thinking i had died but i surprised it with a kamehameha to the face when it wasn't looking. I was able to shoot around four blasts before it went down.
I was super tired but my Ki Manipulation must have saved me from expending so much energy today. The treasure room was filled with gold and a underwater breathing skill book. I opened it up quick it showed how to breathe underwater using Ki as a medium i should teach this to fenrir and goku when i have the time.
The chest also held a gatcha ticket that i could use when i got back to the shore. I swam back on the shore and found fenrir back on his recliner i sighed and went to my area on the beach just a small hut of twigs laying down on a piece of fur rug. I pulled out my gatcha ticket and looked at it i was always good at getting a rare pull somehow i usually just timed it something inside me just suddenly started counting to ten while i thought about what i wanted. The thing i wanted was another companion something like a sea dragon i had food water was easy to come by and my dog just keeps to himself on the beach while i grind away all day.
The gatcha stopped and i recieved a companion gem for Harley Quinn. Uhh i thought about this for a while but since i really needed the help right now i ultimately decided to try the summon. I crushed the gem into my hand and she appeared on the gound she looked like she usually did face painted white she didn't really look like a harlequin at the moment. Her pigtails were colored into two colors at the tips "so this must be the birds of prey version of her" i said aloud. Fenrir got closer to her sniffing because she appeared suddenly out of nowhere "Fuzzy pillow" she said as she grabbed fenrir by the head and started to crush him in her bosom.
He had a painful expression as the blonde woman squeezed the life out of the lazy wolf. I started laughing at his misery until he let a huge whimper out. She woke up and was startled by the sudden loss of fluffy wolf in her hands. "Hey you aren't Bud or Lou, and you who are you" she asked me "where am i you creep!" She got up off the ground continued yelling. I thought about how i would answer her for a few moments as i thought about everything i knew about DC before i spoke "you are in a different multiverse because of my power" I answered her question and thought about what else i was going to say "This universe doesn't have a gotham, joker or batman" as i listed things she might've disliked or what her life was centered around.
"What! How why me! - Not that im not flattered by your first choice or anything, i am your first choice aren't i" she asked while looking surprised. Um "sure" i answered completely forgotten about my sea dragon dream. "Awww your making me blush
Like i said i sort of summoned you using my gamer powers. After explaining how my gamer power works she wanted to join my party. After i invited her she was going through her menus like a kid in a candyshop. "Genuine hammer space" she spoke in awe and hushed tone.
"Gotta say bud this must be the worst case of interdimensional kidnapping i have ever been in and you can trust me im a psychologist" she said. "Isn't that just a another word for a councilor" i said as i saw her try to catch fenrir as he struggled to try and escape. "Aww you remind me of my pet hyenas" she spoke about the pets she left behind.
"How are you so calm about everything" I asked her "Not the weirdest thing that happened to me in my life" she said "I fight grown ass men running around in bat costumes" she said while squeezing the life was left out of fenrir.
"Are you not worried about returning home" i asked "Nah, you did me a favor" she said. "Since I was in the middle of some important mission for some secret thing called suicide squad that i was roped into doing or else my brain woud go kaboom" Harly said.
"What thats terrible" I replied "don't be they basically kidnapped me and threatened me with a bomb planted in my head if i didn't do it, I had to do the thing so i just stole the thing i was supposed to steal when i got teleported outta there i almost got caught and everything" she said "In fact my boyfriend just recently broke my heart before i got kidnapped" she finished. As she told her story i wondered what she could have gotten last second that suicide squad could have wanted.
She then uncovered something very recognizable a computer this little baby holds all the weapons and development technology of all the top corporations Wayne tech, Star Labs, Lex Corp you name it and it will list it" Harly said.
"Do you mind if i safekeep it Harly" Harly stared at me for a moment before tossing the case to me "sure why though, not that i can use it" she said. "I'll just safe keep it until i find some use for it" I told her. I should definitely get on top of getting this to bulma eventually she could use it to better the world.
"So what exactly are you doing all the way out here sweetheart" Harly spoke "your really young to start becoming a super model" she said whilst looking at me shirtless. "I spend my time training and fighting for experience points" i said while getting into my routine and doing one handed pushups with a stone strapped to my back. "Im training in order to survive in the future, i suggest you do the same if you don't want to be dead weight - or get left behind" though i muttered the last part.
"Harly Quinn dead weight" she exclaimed "why i ought ta beat you up just for saying that". After a while of just standing around she spoke up. "Why what's going to happen in the future?" she said curiously. Trying to think of someway to explain it to her "Try to imagine if superman was ten times cooler and could shoot lasers out of his hands now try to imagine if everyone could achieve that level of power by just training".
"Wow that really sounds really great like really really great, am i gonna get that strong by just training with you" Harly was very enthusiastic and ready to get training all the way up to those power levels.
If you join my party then you have a decent chance to get as powerful i also invited fenrir over there but he's been nothing if not useless so far. "Actually if you join" she didn't let me finish before accepting "I accept" she said "Let me finish, if you accept Harly" i tried to finish "I accept" she didn't let me finish. "Well i was going to list all the benefits to joining before inviting you" Roshi said whilst looking at her jumping in excitement. "But I'm sure you can figure out everything while your in my party.
As soon as she accepted the prompt "Roshi invited you into his party do you accept yes/no" after clicking yes she went through a small tutorial and i showed her how to access her own inventory tab. "Hammer space" she said before going through every one of her menus and looking at her stats.
We stayed on the beach training, fighting and eating together fish was usually the more prominent thing on the menu. I started to teach her how to fight in the turtle hermit style of what i learned of it. I spent alot of time on her fighting her in the day and i continued training in the ocean water during the night while she slept and recovered. Since we spent alot of time together I eventually taught Harly how to access her own ki with my own. I then thought her how to breathe underwater using her Ki as a medium - she practiced that technique for a while alongside training her own swimming skills while Fenrir watched her back.
She was already incredible and physically fit probably because she is a modified human. Since she lived in a place like Gotham for her whole life she wasn't up to this world's standard of strength. All in all she didn't mind the change from being told what to do all the time to this daily workout routine.
We even entered the sea together entering the few natural dungeons i found and finishing them. I felt ready enough to take a trip into the city with all the gems and gold i collected underwater.
"So your name is Roshi" Harly suddenly spoke in a sugary tone after a long battle with her head on my chest "How you figure that out" i asked her "I was able to see your name for myself it's directly above your head sugar" she told me. I looked up and sure enough my name was there. "Huh" i said.
Harly was acting like Harly while i was reallocating fenrir stats to be able to catch his own food so by the time we return he should have plenty of food still left. We couldn't really take the wolf into the city since he could misbehave. Also the wolf didn't deserve to eat out in the city before he learns manners.
By the time we arrived in the south city docks it the sun was barely starting to rise up. The city life itself wasn't something that the anime focused on but it felt crazy to interact with all the things that would just have been glossed over during animation. I visited a proper bank jewelry store and a pawnshop to compare the amount of money i could get from each source. The bank seemed the most willing to buy in bulk, the jeweler offered great prices on a couple of in demand gems, the pawnshop shop was more than willing to buy but at a lower prices. I did this to receive a great price on all my uncut gems and gold coins.
So i spent some time going from place to place kinda like a vegabond just buying things from store to store. Books from bookstores, working tools like solar powered saws in capsule form from the Brief company. The current era does seem like before bulma introduced her technologies. Bulmas dad Dr.Brief does seem like a highly respected inventor who had revolutionized the current world already. So i bought brand capsules for all my stuff some of the current capsules they had available that stored food like a fridge capsule that should save my food from getting stolen for a while - the fridge i bought even had a lock on it. I took Harly all over the place getting her things she wanted like make up her new small wardrobe and even weaponry that she stored in a her hammer space she really liked the hardware store she liked the sledgehammers and baseball bats. The place she really wanted to visit was going to be the shop that made custom orders the clerk was commissioned to make her stuff like a huge wooden mallet smoke bombs and even playing cards.
While we were waiting for her bag of tricks order to get done, she wanted to take a trip throughout the city to eat at all the restaurants that lined the streets. We went buying some meat on a stick because i had started to miss the flavor of meat almost every day.
Fenrir was a great dog but his stealing tendency was staring to become anoying. I had to empty out my invintory into capsules before he tried to eat the hardware as well. Because i had alot of fish i checked on Fenrir and yeah that was the final fish gone from my inventory so he is going to have to hunt for himself in the water if he going to want to eat. He was probably panicked by now wondering how he's going to feed himself fish is his favorite and i taught him about swimming. I did dump a lot of his stat points into his ki and taught him about water breathing technique before i left he wasn't an entirely useless dog he can catch his own food from now on i so thats why i left him on the beach sleeping.
Me and Harly had got on a train to explore the country side. The train had compartments on one side and a walkway on the other. Eventually i got around to exploring the countryside i do miss the sea the ocean was just filled with a massive amount of life that fenrir was hunting the like crazy. The thought of me bringing a animal with no natural predators into a place with plentiful food and having that animal become your easy xp grinder was genius, so far that's wolf's stomach acids were near infinite and the sea was filled with all sorts of life that would only get eaten by him.
Did i feel bad for the fisherman probably getting robbed not much but Fenrir really only ate seafood in his diet so i didn't have to worry too much about people. Eventually passive xp from fenrir eating things in the ocean started trickling into our xp bars. I tought the wolf how to survive in the ocean when i could that wolf was having a buffet over there. My hand reaching for a magazine on the train that i was on there were diffrent from the one's i seen at home. The subjects were the same but the people in the magazine seemed to focus on things like Dr.Briefs a piece. Fifty of the worlds martal art's tournament winners. Beauty magazines were still the same but this world felt stuck in the pre dragon ball z era if that helped describe what i was seeing.
"What's up pudding, whats got your face in such a state" Harly said to me "nothing im just thinking about what else we would need before we return to train" i replied. "Well alrighty then if you need anything then just tell me" Harly said. "I already had to beat up a couple of guys thinking that i was that kind of clown" she said while pounding her fist in her hand. I just chuckled nervously.
When we arrived i sat noticing, just noticing, just admiring even how the dragonball world had functioned compared to our own. It was like how different society acted it was how advanced the trains were and what people were even selling it all really inspired me. I even came and saw a sushi restaurant and i loved shushi in my past life so i went inside the building. I paid for lessons on how to work and manage my skills as a chef. Since i wanted to max shushi and get the skill maxed out i left Harly alone for a while and went to go buy a lot of ingredients to make my dream of becoming the shushi king come true.
Makeing one of my old dreams a reality like becoming a world class shushi chef it would also probably spare me from Beerus when the time came.
