Hey everyone,
So, here's Chapter 2, I want to thank you all for reading and apologise for the formatting of the previous chapter. There was some a problem with the upload, but it's been fixed and I'm going to make sure it doesn't happen again.
I hope you enjoy and again, please R&R.

A beep rang in her ears. Then another beep assaulted her sleep. Followed by a third that actually rose her from the slumber she had been enjoying.
Erica opened her eyes, her throat dry and hair everywhere. She pushed herself off of her bed and found her feet, forcing herself over to the door leading to the corridor beyond. Pressing a button on the panel next to her, the door gently opened, allowing Revan entry.
"Master?" Erica asked, confused.
He was no longer wearing his armour or mask, instead a simple brown robe covered his body, but he felt the same in the force. His black, shoulder length hair was slicked back while short black stubble covered his lower face. His brown eyes looked at her, filled with both light and dark, his expression twisted slightly in confusion before he suddenly realised. The most prominent feature on his face though, were the scars.
"Oh, of course, you've never seen me without my mask. I'm sorry for the confusion, Padawan." Revan nodded, clasping his hands in front of his pelvis.
"It's alright, Master." Erica smiled, tucking her hair behind her ears to get it out of her face.
"Are you hungry?" Revan queried, looking down at her. He was over six foot tall, while she was easily half a foot smaller.
"Yes, I am, Master." Erica admitted, her stomach stinging slightly.
"May I come in?" Revan asked politely.
"Of course, please." Erica nodded, moving aside for him.
Revan stepped past her and walked straight over to the square device built into the wall in the miniature kitchen area. He typed a command into the small console and waited for the chime to sound. He yanked open the door on the device and reached in to pull out a plate of hot food.
"What? How?" Erica asked, walking over to join him near the dining table.
"Rakatan technology. They used a matter-synthesis technology to create anything they need. Clothes, food, weapons, ships and more." Revan answered, placing the plate of meat onto the table before typing in a new sequence of commands. The device reactivated and produced vegetables. Revan retrieved the plate and quickly typed in another set of commands.
"This is amazing, Master. How does it work?" Erica asked, smelling the meat, savouring its fragrance.
"Enough questions, young one, sit and eat." Revan smiled, placing the vegetables next to the meat. He turned around again, this time pulling utensils from the draw below the synthesiser for her use.
Erica cut herself a chunk of the meat and cautiously placed it into her mouth, slowly chewing it. She couldn't help but be pleasantly surprised at how good it tasted.
"This is amazing." She admitted, quickly taking one of the vegetables.
"I'm glad you like it." Revan chuckled, turning around once more, this time holding two glasses of liquid, handing her one as he sat down.
"What is it?" Erica asked, looking at the strange purple liquid in the glass.
"Just try it, it'll make you feel better." Revan smiled again, taking a gulp of his glass as he clutched his side.
Erica did as he suggested and took a small sip of the liquid. Again, she was pleasantly surprised. It tasted sweet and immediately soothed her sore throat.
"That's really good." She smiled, placing it down and returning to the food. Erica looked at her master as he took another mouthful of his drink.
"I'll leave you to enjoy your food, young one. If you didn't know already, through there is a refresher and as I said before, the synthesiser can make clothes." Revan informed, pointing to the other door present in the room.
"How will I know what the clothes look like?" Erica asked, shyly.
"There's a hologram system built into it for browsing. I must return to my healing trance. I can only suggest you meditate and rest. We will train when I am able." Revan smiled before finishing his drink and leaving her to eat.
Revan simply walked back across the hall and entered his quarters. The door closed behind his entrance, and he removed his upper robe, his wounded shoulder and hip still causing him pain. He lowered himself to the floor and began to meditate, drawing the force into his body in order to speed up his recovery. As Revan sat, his wounds slowly healing, he sensed another presence with him.
"Bastilla." Revan said calmly without opening his eyes.
"Hello, Revan." Bastilla smiled, looking at his injuries.
"Don't worry, I've endured worse." He reassured, his eyes remaining closed.
"I know you have, some of them I inflicted." Bastilla smirked, watching as a smile grew on his lips.
"That's very true." Revan laughed, producing a grunt of pain as he aggravated his injury.
"The others have informed me that you are heading for the device I showed you." Bastilla said, looking at the man she loved so many years ago.
"I am, not that I know how to use it, or where I'm going after I do." Revan nodded, opening his eyes and looking at her face.
"I will give you that knowledge, but first, there is more you need to know." Bastilla informed, their eyes meeting, causing adrenaline to surge through his body.
"I'm listening, my love." Revan nodded; all of his attention focused on her.
"The shard I gave you, it's a piece of the Star Forge. We purified it, removing the dark side taint, it will be your best tool against the enemy." Bastilla explained, a smile on her lips.
"These enemy? What are they?" Revan asked, curious about the creatures from his vision.
"They are a mistake. Evil given form. They drain life of others to sustain themselves." Bastilla answered, seriousness coating her words.
"Similar to Malak." Revan nodded in understanding.
"In a way, yes. But the force does not exist with them. It avoids them, you could say. They drain life organically." Bastilla corrected.
"So, you would have me fight them?" Revan queried, although he already knew that to be the case, he wanted to know how far he should go.
"I want nothing. But the number of lives they will end, is unfathomable." Bastilla said saddened at the thought of so much death.
"Then I will do my best to defeat this enemy." Revan reassured her.
"I know you will." Bastilla nodded, another smile on her lips.
"I have a Padawan with me, her Master was killed on the Foundry. I intend to teach her all I know." Revan informed her.
"She will be a great Jedi, your greatest student. Erica will help you build a new Jedi Order." Bastilla informed, causing confusion to sprout in her husband's mind.
"But, how? There are only two of us?" Revan asked, his confusion mixing with curiosity.
"The answer will be revealed in time, a gift that has yet to be given." Bastilla said, cryptically replying to his questions.
"I only hope I am up to the task, wife." Revan admitted, referring to more than training a Padawan.
"You are, I know you are, and this will help." Bastilla nodded, leaning forward and once again kissing his forehead.
Information appeared in his mind, he now knew how to use the device and where to go once on the other side of it.
"I will go to the city and meet with these humans. I will offer them my help and support, but if they refuse it, I won't force it upon them. Instead, I will stand apart from them." Revan promised.
"They will not refuse your help. Trust me, Revan. Before I leave, I have one last thing I need to do." Bastilla smiled, reaching over and hovering her hand over his chest. Her hand began to glow gently, and Revan felt a warm heat flow through him.
He looked down at the wound on his hip and watched as it faded, being completely healed. His eyes glanced to his shoulder and that wound was also gone, as was the graze on his leg. It was the fastest healing he had ever seen; faster than even the force was capable of. But before Revan could thank her, she faded once again, this time her whole body began to glow before her form turned into pure white light.
"Thank you, my love." Revan said to the air, not sure if she could hear him. He closed his eyes again, returning to his meditation. While he no longer needing to heal, meditation would help him focus his mind.
It had been a few days since their escape from the Foundry, now being only a few hours away from the device. Both Revan and his Padawan had used the time to rest and heal. Revan hadn't realised at first, but when Bastilla had healed him, the scars on his face had been removed. The reaction from Erica informing him of the result.
Leaving his quarters, Revan walked across the hall and rang the chime on Erica's door. After a few seconds, the door opened to reveal his Padawan. She was wearing new robes from her room's synthesiser, her lightsaber hanging from the belt and her hair was once again up on a tight bun.
"Master, what can I do for you?" Erica asked, a forced smile on her lips.
"You can help me with nothing, but before we arrive at the device, I thought it prudent to assess how far along you are in your training." Revan informed, looking at her.
"Very well, Master." Erica nodded, leaving her room, the door closing behind her.
The pair walked to the transport pad and Revan set the pad to take them to the hanger bay. The door that appeared in front of them after the completion of the transporter, opened when it detected their presence. Beyond was the same hanger they had arrived in, their shuttle in the middle of the bay with crates stacked around the vessel until they were assigned to storage slots in the ship's cargo hold.
"May I?" Revan asked, pulling his lightsaber from his belt as they walked to a large open area in the hanger.
"Of course, Master." Erica nodded, collecting her own hilt and handing it to him.
Revan smiled as he gave her his weapon, both activated the hilts and examined the blades.
It had been a long time since Revan had wielded a green blade, while Erica had never even seen a purple lightsaber before. Erica's hilt was indeed unique, almost as unique as his. It was crafted from two different, but equally as expensive metals and covered in beautifully engraved patterns.
Revan deactivated the lightsaber and watched his apprentice examine his weapon. After a few more minutes, she turned his saber off and they returned each other's hilts.
"I've never seen a purple blade before." Erica admitted, holding her hilt in her hand.
"I had to go through a lot of pain to get it." Revan admitted, being completely honest with her. Before using the force to hover his lightsaber over towards one of the crates nearby.
Erica did the same as her master and waited for his instruction, but instead he threw a fist at her. She dodged the punch, completely shocked and confused.
"Master?" Erica asked as she dodged another punch.
"Defend yourself and retaliate." Revan ordered, throwing another fist at her.
She did what he told demanded and the pair began trading blows, blocks and kicks with each other.
While Erica couldn't understand why they were fighting, Revan was using it as a test to gage how well trained she was in hand-to-hand combat. Only the best Jedi could improvise as they might not always have a lightsaber at hand.
While Erica was able to block several blows, she couldn't land any on Revan. She was using the force to compensate for her lack of training and experience in weapons free combat.
Revan stopped attacking her and took a step back, his assessment of that aspect complete. Although he wouldn't say it aloud, he was disappointed.
For the next test, he summoned back his lightsaber and ignited the blade, quickly launching an attack at her.
Erica rolled out of the way and used the force to bring her hilt into her grip, turning to face her master. She rose to her feet and activated her weapon, quickly entering a defensive form.
Revan attacked again, swiping his weapon from side to side, probing her defences. While she managed to block the swings, his false lances at her body went unchallenged. She seemed focused on protecting her central mass, ignoring her exposed lower body. There were so many gaps in her defence that Revan could've disarmed her or even killed her, had that been his intent.
He couldn't help but wonder if this was why her previous master had sent her to hide. If he knew she wasn't ready to fight the Sith, or anyone for that matter.
Revan stepped back again and deactivated his lightsaber, his Padawan quickly doing the same, her breathing heavy.
"Give me your lightsaber." Revan said, holding out his hand, showing no sign of fatigue.
"Master?" Erica queried, her breathing still heavy. She was confused as to why he wanted it again, but she obeyed and handed it to him after withdrawing the blade.
"You aren't ready to wield one of these." Revan said bluntly, the words cutting into her like a knife.
"What are you talking about?" She asked, getting defensive and angry.
"A lightsaber is earned. Not given to any girl who can recite the Jedi Code. You lack even basic hand-to-hand; your defence is full of holes and your physical training is appalling." Revan answered, holding the hilt in his hand.
"But Master Raan said I was one of the best Padawan's he had ever seen." Erica said, confused.
"If that were truly the case, it's no wonder the Jedi are losing their war." Revan shrugged, walking away from her.
"What would you have me do?" Erica queried, almost begging for his advice.
"Start running. Do as many laps around this hanger as you can. Use the force to sustain you if you must." He answered before he sat on the deck and began to meditate.
Erica didn't say another word, she simply nodded and began to run around the large bay. Only after the first lap did she suddenly realise how physically unfit she actually was, her robes quickly becoming drenched in sweat and her chest burning. But she kept going, pulling on the force to help her, to increase her capabilities.
Erica ran, around and around, not willing to stop. Her willpower propelling her forward as her legs and chest screamed for her to stop. Not that she did, she wouldn't. She wanted to prove to Revan that she was ready to do what he required of her, what he needed of her. It was somewhere between her eighth and tenth lap, when she noticed he was no longer sitting in the hanger bay. But instead, he had used the transport pad to head off into the ship, but she still wasn't going to stop.
Another lap later, Revan returned with a glass of the purple liquid from before and waited for her to reach him.
"Very good, Padawan. That's enough for now. Drink this and we will meditate." Revan said, handing over the glass as she reached him and stopped, panting for air.
Erica took the glass and gulped it down as her breathing continued, her chest heaving up and down. She tried to get it under control, forcing her breaths to slow, but it was easier said than done.
Revan lowered himself to the floor and she quickly followed, still struggling for breath. But as they both closed their eyes and began to relax; she found her lung capacity returning to her.
"What would you have me do, Master?" Erica asked through calmed breath.
"Have you ever entered a healing trance before?" He queried her while his eyes remained closed.
"No, Master." She replied, shaking her head.
"Very well, I will push you into one. But I want you to remember the feeling and practice entering the trance by yourself. I won't always be there to assist you." Revan nodded, reaching out to her with the force and imagining she was a stone that was slowly being submerged into water.
"I feel it. It's cool, yet warm. It doesn't hurt, it feels enjoyable, relaxing even." Erica smiles, enjoying the force wash over her.
"Very good, now, stay with that feeling." Revan nodded, continuing to focus on her. When he felt that Erica was deep enough in the trance, he slowly removed his support and left her there.
Revan opened his eyes and looked around the hanger bay, not looking for anything in particular. Climbing to his feet, Revan didn't say another word, he simply headed back to the transporter pad.
Stepping onto the pad, Revan typed a command into the console and was moved to a different section of the ship, finding himself on the bridge.
"Master, we are exiting hyperspace now." One of the droid crew members informed as Revan stepped onto the bridge.
"Very good." Revan nodded as he walked towards one of the forward consoles, the ship abruptly slowing down. The bridges' window became consumed by the sight of the circular device from his vision.
Revan raised his hand and reached out with the force, feeling the device floating in space beyond his ship. He didn't know who made it, or how it was powered, all he knew was how to use it. Using the codes Bastilla had given him, he mentally input the command sequence and felt the ancient device activate.
Before his eyes, the segments powered up, light and power flowing between them. When it was finished, from the outskirts of the ring, energy closed in towards the centre. Upon impact, a great blossom was spat forth from the device. The energy settled back down into a rippling surface, appearing almost like water.
"Take us in." Revan managed to say, distracted by the beauty of the marvel of technology.
Without hesitation, the droid crew powered the mammoth sub-light engines and took the Bastilla's Might into the puddle.
Revan watched as his ship entered the device and felt apprehension as it consumed him. It only lasted a second or two and appeared very similar to hyperspace. The weirdest past was his body becoming covered by a strange, yet pleasant, tingling sensation.
When it was over, the Bastilla's Might emerged from an identical device and now sat outside of a completely different galaxy. Revan felt the device behind the Might deactivate, leaving space outside of this new galaxy quiet once again.
"Once basic astronomical scans are complete, take us into hyperspace once again and head for these coordinates." Revan ordered, typing a set of astrological parameters into the console before him. He honestly didn't know how long it would take for the ship to get to the city shown to him by his wife, but he knew he had to get there.
In the centre of the large window on the bridge, a hologram of this new galaxy appeared. It began to be carved into grids and sections, proving that the Rakatan computer system were far more efficient than most.
"The coordinates provided are on the edge of this galaxy, estimated time of arrival; five standard days." One of the droids around him informed.
"Very well, leave behind a satellite to continue stellar mapping while we are in transit. We will return to gather its data when we're able." Revan nodded, a smile growing in his face.
It shouldn't have surprised him that Bastilla would provide coordinates that worked perfectly with the Might's navigational system. Even long after his ship jumped into hyperspace, Revan remained on the bridge, just watching the hyperspace tunnel ahead of him.
Just like they'd spent the last four days, Revan and Erica were in the hanger bay of the Bastilla's Might, training.
For four straight days, Erica had been assigned physical and mental exercises, much to her annoyance. Running, meditating and weapons practise had filled the hours of their hyperspace voyage.
Revan had set her on the correct path, but her physical training wasn't something that was a quick fix. She would have to continue and keep this training regime for the rest of her days.
While the physical training was starting to go well, her mental and force training was extremely lacking, not to mention her combat skills. Form I was trained to younglings before they moved on to more advanced lightsaber techniques.
While Erica knew this form, her education beyond that was virtually non-existent, a fact that annoyed and confused Revan. He couldn't believe that someone so uneducated had been granted the position of Padawan, although it wasn't her fault, the failing had been her previous master.
Cole Raan either didn't have time to teach her or he was simply a bad tutor, either way, it was something that Revan had to fix. It was something Erica would suffer because of. And unfortunately, it was something that would take time. But he was already impressed with her commitment to the tough training regimen he had given her. She hadn't faltered or complained, simply following his instruction.
Today, instead of physical training, they were practising her ability to enter the healing trance. So, they weren't wearing training garb, they were fully outfitted in Jedi robes for authenticity. They were the robes the Jedi Order had come accustomed to in recent years. Sections of armour sat above the fabric on their forearms, shoulders, chests and lower legs.
"Erica, we must go to the bridge, we are about to arrive." Revan informed, causing her eyes to open, ending the healing trance she had been in.
"Yes, Master." Erica nodded before rising to her feet and watching as he did the same. With a surge in the force, she watched as his lightsaber jumped from a nearby crate and into his hand.
Without saying another word, Revan simply clipped his weapon onto his belt and led the way towards the transport pad.
Erica followed him but not before retrieving her own weapon in the same manner.
Revan had confiscated her lightsaber and modified it into a training variant by increasing the strength of the containment field. At first she'd been annoyed, angered even, after all she was a padawan of the Jedi Order. But then she had calmed down and realised he was giving her an opportunity.
A chance to prove she was ready, a chance to earn a true lightsaber. All while carrying the weapon she had created with her previous master, the last piece she had of Cole Raan.
After clipping the engraved hilt onto her belt, she caught up with Revan and stepped onto the pad.
In a blink they were outside the bridge, looking through the open door at the mechanical crew performing unspoken tasks. The pair stepped off the transporter and walked into the ships command centre, the blue shades of the hyperspace tunnel making the metal surfaces sparkling.
"Statement: Master, we are about to drop out of hyperspace at your requested coordinates." The synthetic voice of HK-47 announced from one of the consoles.
Revan, when not training Erica, had spent his time repairing the droid. Between his experience in repairing the machine and the ships droid units, HK had been fully repaired to full capabilities extraordinarily quickly.
"Good to see you up and about HK." Revan smirked before walking towards the front of the bridge to look out of the massive window, his apprentice and HK-47 following him.
The three of them stood together and watched as the tunnel faded, the ship rapidly decelerating into the orbit of an ocean covered world with a single super continent.
"It's beautiful." Erica whispered, her eyes glistening in awe.
"Query: Is it?" HK-47 asked, seeming puzzled.
"I haven't seen many worlds from orbit. Tython and before that Alderaan, my home world." She admitted, somewhat shy about her lack of life experience.
"I have a feeling you'll see many worlds on this journey, padawan." Revan remarked, not taking his eyes away from the planet as it grew larger in the window.
"Yes, Master." Erica nodded, silently hoping so.
"Are our sensors picking anything up?" Revan asked, still staring out of the bridges bay window.
HK-47 walked over to a nearby console and began typing on its keyboard, changing the screen's information several times.
"Statement: The planet is capable of supporting oxygen dependant life, there are many examples of Forna and Flora as well as an unknown power signature coming from below the planets ocean." HK informed after processing the information.
"What kind of power signature?" Revan asked, confused. Could this be an indication of what he was looking for? Could this be the city his visions showed?
"Mockery: Did I not state unknown?" The droid teased, its head turning to look at Revan.
"HK." The Jedi Master grunted, slightly frustrated, still not taking his eyes off of the view. He just watched as the ship settled into orbit, the blue ocean below them.
"Clarification: The sensors can't identify it, but it does appear to be failing." HK-47 stated, turning his head back towards the console as it started to beep wildly.
"What's wrong?" Erica asked, slightly worried.
"Explanation: The power signature, it surged. Sensors are now detecting an artificial structure rising from the ocean floor." HK-47 said, looking over to his master and his apprentice again.
"Let's go." Revan nodded before turning on the spot and walking back towards the teleport pad, Erica and HK close behind.
"Crew instructions?" One of the droids asked from its assigned console as the three of them passed.
"Remain in orbit, scan for any potential hostiles and prepare the ship's cargo for unloading." Revan ordered bluntly, not taking his eyes off of his destination.
After the trio stepped onto the pad, they watched as their view changed from the bridge to the carnivorous hanger bay in a yellow flash.
Revan, Erica and HK marched through the hanger with purpose and quickly boarded the Assault Shuttle they'd bought with them from The Foundry. Just like their escape from the Rakatan facility, Revan and Erica climbed up into the cockpit, quickly activating the ship. With a hiss the rear door closed, followed by the hum of the engines warming up with the sound vibrating through the small ship.
Revan increased the power to the engines and raised the ship from the deck, a quick flick of a switch retracting the landing gear.
The shuttles two side wings lowered into position before it moved forward, accelerating rapidly as it passed through the shield into the vacuum of space.
"Keep an eye out for the city." Revan ordered as he angled the ship downwards, intending to enter the planet's atmosphere at a sharp angle.
"It won't be hard to miss, Master." Erica reminded, thinking back to the vision he shared with her, the image of a large glistening city sat on the ocean filling her mind.
"Let's hope not." Revan nodded as the flames of planetary entry began to consume the cockpits window.
A mild shaking began to take a hold of the vessel, causing concern to bubble within Erica's stomach. She always hated this part of space travel, but she didn't dare close her eyes like she normally did during these events. Revan wouldn't approve.
It was only a few seconds and then the shaking died down, the flaming view quickly replaced with an expansive blue ocean.
Revan was piloting the shuttle, but strangely felt as if he was being guided by an unseen presence. A belief that was reinforced as directly ahead the ocean began to part and sprout tall towers of silver metal.
"Master, I found it." Erica said jokingly as the massive city came to rest on the ocean's surface, sending a ripple across it.
Revan didn't say anything, he instead simply continued their approach. His hands gripped the two flight controls and lowered their altitude even more. With a squint, he picked his destination, his intention was to use one of the piers as a landing zone and extended the landing struts. With a pass around the outer edge of the city, he gracefully lowered the shuttle onto a large flat area on his chosen pier.
With a small thud, he landed the ship after its side wings folded upwards, releasing a quiet breath of relief. It had in actuality been many years since he had flown anything. But the events of recent weeks had forced him to reacquire the skill and he was finding his love of flying slowly making a return.
"Powering down now." Erica said from the seat behind him as she worked on her console and deactivated the engines for him.
"Good work, Padawan." Revan nodded before unbuckling himself and standing to leave the cockpit. The Jedi Master climbed down the ladder to find HK already on his feet, checking over a blaster rifle that the droid had no doubt pulled from the onboard weapons locker.
"Statement: I can't wait to kill some meat bags, Master!" The droid informed as he tested the sight on his rifle.
"We're not here to kill these people, HK. We're here to help them." Revan reminded, shaking his head slightly.
"Clarification: Not these meat bags, Master. The meat bags afterwards." HK-47 corrected, holstering his rifle onto his back.
"Of course." Revan said, unwilling to argue with the machine. Behind him he heard Erica climb down the ladder, jumping to skip the last few steps.
"The ship's systems are powered down. We can leave when you're ready, Master." Erica informed, pride swelling in her voice.
"Let's move then." Revan nodded as he walked towards the rear door, slamming his palm against the ramp controls.
Immediately the door hissed open, and the ramp lowered itself to allow them to exit. Bright beams of sunlight and fresh ocean air filled the shuttles rear compartment without warning.
The trio stepped out of the ship, and all looked up at the tall towers of the city ahead of them. Silver giants with stained glass windows that sparkled in the sun's rays. It was a sight to behold for all of them.
"Admission: This place reminds me of Manaan." HK informed and Revan couldn't help but internally agree with him.
"I've never been to Manaan. But this is truly amazing. Simply beautiful." Erica admitted, completely awestruck.
"Over there." Revan said, pointing in the direction of the closest tower where a door sat at its base. It was their way into the city.
"Lead the way, Master." Erica smiled after looking over to the indicated building.
Revan did as his padawan suggested and reached out a hand as they got to the door, tapping his fingers against the control panel. The panel didn't do anything, not even a flicker of light, while the door remained sealed.
"It's never easy." Revan sighed as he reached out with the same hand and used the force to pull it open. The sound of metal scraping against metal filled his ears as he moved the door against its will.
The corridor beyond was dark and thick with moisture, water running down its walls or dripping from what was supposed to be light fixtures.
Revan pulled his lightsaber from his belt and ignited the blade as he stepped into the hallway.
The area quickly became flooded with purple light, followed by green as Erica copied her master.
"This isn't creepy at all." Erica said, shivering slightly at the sight of the darkness ahead.
Revan didn't say anything and neither did HK, instead they simply began to walk down the corridor with the droids' robotic eyes becoming brighter, Erica shivered once more before jogging slightly to catch up.
Chapter 2 complete!
I hope you all enjoyed it, once again I would like to stress that this will be a slow burn project. But I'm not ruling out possible time jumps to get to the juicier content.
Thank you for reading and please don't forget to review.
