A memo from from Headmaster Ozpin of Beacon Academy to Councilman Julius Aurelius

Dear Councilman, I am writing to you in response to the council's desire for more information regarding the events that took place in the Emerald Forest. I am sure by now you have reviewed the tape recordings captured by the huntsmen we deployed to investigate the scene. You must have seen the bodies of the the specialists sent sent to guard it, the cryptic warning left behind, and, of course, the ship.

While we cannot say for certain what happened that day, I share your concern over the situation, however I assure you, all necessary steps are being taken to ensure the prevention of such incidents in the future. However, I take exception to your assertion that we were warned something of this nature would happen. I would like to remind you, as well as the council, that anything is possible. Some things are probable. This is what is. And my job, our job, is to deal with what is.
