I felt the cold wind bite my face. I did not appreciate it. I thought we were meant to be leaving in a few days?
A rough shake to the shoulder brought me back from my dissociated reality, making me realise I was shaking terribly, and I was as pale as a ghost.
"Hey, you okay in there Billie?" A boy said, who was tall and lanky, with a mess of orange hair covering his freckled face.
"Not being rude at all, but who are you? And I am not Billie." I stated cautiously, spooking when a loud snap could be heard next to me.
"Oh. Sorry I am Ron. I thought your name was Billie?"
I sighed, and suddenly remembered exactly why I was shaking and pale.
"CHILD! GET IN HERE!" He said, the belt cracking in the wind. I ran in clumsily, getting out of the unfamiliar bed. "LAY DOWN!" He screamed, throwing me against a wall.
"No. No. Please don't. I don't wanna." I muttered under my breath, rocking back and forth. Eli? Do you need help? "I'm fine."
"Hey. It's okay. You are here, not there." A soft voice said, rubbing my back. I jerked forwards sharply, feeling the gash open up. Warmth soaked the shirt, and I felt lightheaded. And then I saw black.
