Hours have passed since I talked to Logan and I knew I had to find Kurt.

I wanted to apologize for leaving him alone in one of the most important moments of his life.

He always wanted to know the truth about his real parents and now that he finally found a lead, I ran off without caring about his feelings and his problems.

I knocked his door and waited for a reply.

"Come in," I heard him say and I opened the door.

He was hanging upside down from the ceiling with his tail.

"Hey," I said just above a whisper and walked inside, closing the door behind me.

"Oh, hey," he said coldly making my heart ache and teleported down on his bed.

"I am really sorry for leaving the way I did this morning," I apologized and sat next to him on the bed.

"I didn't expect this from you, you know. Maybe you don't care about your past, but I do and you could have stayed to support me, because you know how much I want to know the truth," he said still not looking at me, I sighed and looked down as well.

I didn't know what to say to make this better, it couldn't get better.

"When Rogue touched you, we made a promise, that as long as we stick together, we will be okay, why did you leave? " He asked looking at me now with his yellow, demon-like eyes.

Should I tell him?

Should I let him into the darkness I had immersed myself in?

"It's okay if you don't trust me, you know, I just thought that you did," he said harshly standing up from his bed ad I ran after him panicked.

"No! I do trust you! I do. I just feel unsure of what ..," I said and drifted off at the last part.

"Of what you'll think of me," I continued.

His expression softened.

"I know we have talked about this before and I know that I can trust you. I just am not ready to share it with the others and I know they care, I just... I don't know," I said, covering my face with hands sitting back down on the bed.

I felt the bed shift as he sat next to me.

"Katzchen, it's okay, you don't have to hide. We are family here, No one will judge you. I won't judge you, you can tell me the truth," he said removing my hands away.

"I left because I already know what happened to me and I couldn't bear you or Anne or Jean found out the truth" I explained and he looked puzzled.

"Know what?" He asked confused.

"The dream said the truth about me," I admitted and his eyes widened.

"You were burned?! You were in that closet!? Oh god! " Kurt said freaking out and I placed my hand on his shoulder.

"Kurt, it's okay! I am okay," I said, trying to comfort him.

"How did you end up there? " He asked and I felt a huge.

"I-" I was cut off by a knock on the door.

"Hello?" I asked but no answer since Kurt wasn't in a good state I walked to the door, opened it but found no one there.

I stepped on something and looked down. There was an envelope on the floor, I raised an eyebrow.

Why the hell was envelope here?

I picked it up anyway, sat back on the bed and gave it to Kurt, who didn't spare it another look and tossed it on the bed.

"So? How did that happen to you? Why?" He asked concern in his voice.

I took a deep breath and begun to speak.

"This woman that Rogue saw in her dream, I remember her. She saved me, she took me out from the metallic closet I was locked in, she freed me, gave me a chance of survival and I don't want to share this story with anyone. I don't want to share it with you either, I want to forget, to move on, have a good life with the people that I love, I just want to leave my past behind and never recall it "

"But most importantly, I didn't want the X-Men to pull away from me or pity me in any way, you might understand me, but that doesn't mean everyone will accept that part of me, what if they look down at me? What if I am a bad person from thinking the way I do," I said and I saw a tear stream down Kurt's eye.

"You, okay?" I asked, panicking.

He didn't answer, he just hugged me and sniffed into the back my neck.

"Don't ever say that again, you are a really good person Kathryn Pryde and you are the only one who doesn't see it, no matter what happened or what you did, you don't have to tell me or anyone else, but if you ever want to talk, I am always here to listen and I won't judge you or your actions ever. And I promise nothing will ever change the way I feel about you,"

He said and I hugged back, knowing that my friend understood me and would always care.

"Thank you so much Kurt, just please let this stay between us," I said and he nodded rubbing my back.

We pulled away slightly and smiled softly at each other. At one point we were just staring at each other and I felt myself trying to hold back my laughter, he seemed to struggle as well.

We burst out laughing together and I fell back on the bed, still laughing as he fell next to me.

"Wait! Wait, you were mad at me, then we were crying and now we are laughing? Why are we like this? We don't make any sense," I said between laughter and he laughed harder.

"Do we ever?" He asked with a huge grin.

Suddenly, I felt something sticking uncomfortably on my neck I reached to grab the item, only to find the envelope.

"Won't you open it?" I asked, passing it to him.

He opened the envelope and got the sheet of paper that was inside and he began reading out loud.

"If you want to know the truth, come to the new mall construction site at sundown. Come alone," he read and I couldn't believe my ears.

It could be a trap, it has been long since we fought the brotherhood, but how could they possibly know about this?

I popped on my elbows and watched as Kurt walked to his desk and hid the letter, then he went to his closet and pulled out his uniform.

"What do you think you're doing?" I shouted not believing that he was actually going.

"I am going there," he said sternly and my eyes widened.

"It could be a trap!" I yelled and he looked at me seriously.

"Or a person that knows the truth about me," he said and my features softened.

"Are you willing to take that risk?" I asked him, gently revealing my concern to him.

"Wouldn't you?" He asked and I sighed knowing fully well that I would have gone too.

"Okay, but I am going with you," I announced and he shook his head negatively.

"No, the letter specifically says 'Come alone'," he pointed out.

"I know, I won't appear though, I will hide and keep an eye on you in case something goes wrong," I said and he was about to protest, but I didn't let him.

"Hush, I made my decision and if you are not taking me with you, I am gonna drive there myself," I said and he sighed in annoyances but then he laughed.

"There is no getting away from you, is there?" He said grinning sweetly.

"Nope there isn't! And now get dressed, it is almost sundown," I said and ran to my room to change into my uniform.

This will be a good night as any.

-Time Skip-

We reached the new mall construction and I hid behind it, while Kurt walked around it looking for the person.

"Okay, I am here!" Kurt yelled, making his presence known.

He waited for a reply and to our surprise he got one.

"Hello, Kurt," I heard a woman say as she stepped out of the darkness and my eyes widened.

It was her.

It was that woman that saved me. She was even wearing the same clothes as she did back then, that brown cloak and hood.

"You! You are the one in Rogue's dream and Kathryn's memories! Who are you? Why don't you show yourself?" Kurt asked harshly but she just sighed.

Her hands moved slowly to her hood.

"You already know me,son," she said and pulled down her cloak.

My jaw dropped I almost gasped but covered my mouth with my hand.

I looked at the woman with wide eyes.

It couldn't be.

She, the bitch I always compared with the devil.

She was Kurt's mother.

I thought as my eyes moved from her blue skin to her yellow eyes.

Mystique, Raven Darkholme, was Kurt's mother.

Kurt had tears running down his face as he looked at the woman he thought as enemy, but was revealed as his mother.

"No! No! It's impossible! What happened to me?! What did you do!?" Kuer yelled furiously throwing his arms in the air.

As tears of frustration run down his cheeks.

The only thing I wanted to do was run there and hug him, but no matter how shocking this was, he has to stick with the plan.

Out of nowhere Avalanche, Quicksilver, Toad and Blob surrounded Kurt.

I knew it!

That stupid bitch was playing with Kurts feeling like that.

"Get out," Mystique said and my attitude towards her changed again.

She didn't want them here, but they wouldn't listen to her.

I got closer to them, but I was still hiding.

"Whoa! This is as far you go fur boy, this conversation is over," Pietro said and I pointed my bow at his leg.

One wrong move Pietro, just one.

I thought to myself.

"Get out of here! All of you! " Mystique yelled in frustration while Kurt made eye contact with me.

I made him a sign to teleport away but he shook his head at me.

He wanted to stay there.

Come on Kurt, don't be stupid.

"Can't do, boss lady. We got higher orders," he said and clicked his finger.

Higher orders?

Mystique wasn't their leader?

And that begs the question.

Who was leading the brotherhood after all?

Blob suddenly punched Kurt in the stomach, I gasped and Kurt fell to his knees crying out loud.

I shoot an arrow at Blob's belly, knowing it wouldn't hurt him.

I wanted to distract them away from Kurt.

He and the others turned my way, including Mystique who looked shocked to see me.

I stood up from my hiding place.

"Surprised to see me? " I asked mostly her and she shook her head.

"No, not really," she answered with coldness.

"You weren't supposed to be here Kitty," Lance said kind of disappointed and I scoffed.

"Sorry to ruin your plans," I answered and the whole construction began to shake and soon gave in.

Lance groaned from the effort to bring down the half-made building.

But it soon did on me.

I phased down to the ground quietly and completely unharmed.

He should have learned by now that, his tricks don't work on me.

I phased up again hiding behind the now trashed construction.

Blob hit Kurt on the face and Kurt fell down unconscious, with blood running down his mouth and nose.

They are gonna pay for this one.

"This was easy," Pietro announced and I smirked.

Guess what asshole, it just became harder.

I aimed my bow and shot an arrow right through Pietro's right leg.

But I made sure to hit the right places, so he would be able to run again.

"Oh shit! Oh shit! That bitch shot me!" He yelled while crying in pain.

"Not that easy now, ha?" I asked smirking.

I raised my bow to my other victim.

Lance Alvers.

"It is just her, it's gonna be easy to take her down!" Toad said and I placed my bow onto my back.

"Come here and try!" I said taking a fight position.

Todd yelled as he run to me with full force, I raised an eyebrow and dropped my fight position and when he was just inches away, I phased causing him to run straight to a column.

I laughed slightly as he passed out.

"You guys are hopeless, aren't you?" I asked referring to Todd's ridiculous attempt to attack me.

Lance approached and tried to punch me, but I ducked and hit him in the face instead.

I kicked him to the ground and smiled.

"You are indeed hopeless," I said and they seemed to get really mad.

Todd was recovering and Lance stood up.

"You are the one who's hopeless!" Blob yelled and began running my way.

But suddenly a huge red blast threw him to the ground.

Blob screamed as he crushed to the ground.

I looked behind me and was surprised to see the team.

Cyclops, Spyke, Jean and Rogue.

"Get them!" Pietro yelled and Blob and Toad began attacking the X-Men.

Scott was fighting Blob, Evan was handling Todd, while me and Jean ran to Kurt's side.

We picked him up and placed his arm around our shoulders.

"Time to rock and roll," Lance said and started an earthquake, shaking everything around us, even the column Todd had crushed into before breaking down.

I couldn't do something my hands were full.

"Rock and roll this, Freak!" Rogue shouted and jumped on Lance, throwing him against the ground, touching his face, knocking him out.

"Can you hold him on your own?" I asked Jean in a rush as I saw Mystique running away from the scene.

"Yeah-" she said but I cut her off, as I let go of Kurt and ran after her, grabbing my bow from my back and an arrow.

"Stop!" I shouted and aimed at the back of her head.

She stopped and turned to face me.

"Kurt, Rogue and I have some questions for you to answer," I said harshly.

She can't play us like that.

"I am afraid is too late for answers, far too late," she said and started walking away.

I shot an arrow next to her hand, only to graze her.

"Consider this a warning," I said coldly as she cried out and covered her wound with her hand.

"That's how you treat the woman that saved you?" She asked, bringing back memories from my past.

"That's how I treat the woman that hurt my family," I said with the same coldness.

"Now speak the truth, or else the next shot is going right through your arm," I threatened, even though I knew she had healing abilities.

She laughed.

"You are your father's daughter after all," she said and I looked at her puzzled.

"What?" I asked her, lowering my bow.

"I thought you were just a coward like your mother, but I was wrong. You resemble him too. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree and you are no exception,

Kathryn Creed," she said smirking.

What the hell was that?

Creed?

"What is that supposed to mean?" I asked confused.

"Ask your, so-called, trustworthy Professor" she said and formed into a raven, leaving her brown cloak behind as she flew away.

I sat there staring at her as she got farther and farther away.

What does the Professor have to do with this?

Did she really know my parents or was it just a trick?

Could her saving me be more personal than I thought?

"Kathryn!" I heard Scott calling me and I knew I had to go back. I couldn't help, but look back at the woman obviously knew more about me than I did.

-Time Skip-

It has been hours since we met with Mystique, but her words still haunted us.

Me, Kurt and Rogue stood on Kurt's balcony just enjoying the view something we did quite often.

"I still can't believe it, Mystique is my mother!" Kurt said frustrated and I sighed.

"Listen, Kurt, who really knows? I mean this is a really crazy lady maybe she is just messing with you," Rogue said trying to comfort him.

"I don't think she I lying to you, she seemed pretty honest to me," I said to Kurt, waiting for him to voice his own opinion.

"Maybe she is lying or maybe she isn't, but there is some kind of resemblance," he said referring to his appearance and I shook my head.

"That doesn't mean anything," I said still looking at the night sky.

"Hey, let's just wait until Prof has more information," Rogue said and I scoffed.

They both turned to me with raised eyebrows.

"I bet he already knows more than he is willing to tell us," I said, thinking of Mystique.

Maybe her words were just a way to cause chaos among the team, or were they?

Kurt nodded.

"I have this feeling too," Kurt said and Rogue looked between me and him.

"Maybe, but if he does, he probably has a really good reason for not telling you," she said and I felt anger build up inside of me.

He has no right to hide the truth from us no matter how good of a reason he has.

"Yeah, whatever," I said, my voice bitter.

"Sure," Kurt answered with the same bitterness after me and looked back at the sky.

"Look guys, I understand what you are going through, we will keep looking and we will find the answers together someday, okay?" She said playing a hand on mine and Kurt's shoulder.

I couldn't help but smile at her, she was always so supportive.

"Okay," me and Kurt answered together and looked at each other surprised.

We laughed a little at each other.

"We will be okay," Kurt said hugging both me and Rogue as we kept looking at the dark sky.

Hell knows what else she is hiding from us.

How many secrets are there to discover.

But I guess if we face them together.

We will be okay.
