(Ten minutes before Naruto arrives)

(At the Spear Pillar)

At the site of the former temple to the gods, we find a single man meditating on the raised platform at the center of the temple. Sitting with his legs crossed over each other, his Shakujo laid across his lap, was Naruto Uzumaki.

Unlike his younger self, he had found that as he waded through the ages, his taste for colorful clothes and vibrant colors had faded quite a bit. Not entirely mind you, he still had an occasional flair for his favorite color but found these days he preferred simpler colors and tastes, his former jumpsuit no longer to his color preference or practical traveling choice for the various regions of this world.

Instead, he wore a simple pair of white yoroi hakama, with golden designs woven into the plates of them, each resembling an arch worn by his patron. On his white tabi coated feet rested a pair of red wooden geta, reminiscent of his old mentor Jiraiya, having found that he actually quite enjoyed the feel of them on his feet. On his torso rested a white kimono top of the Iro-montsuki category, bearing the crest of his deity on his shoulders, over which was a white haori like his fathers, with golden flames on the bottom and the full symbol of his patron covering his back. Wrapped around his waist was a grey and red obi, which stood out quite a bit from the rest of his 'official wear'. When questioned about it, he would only respond with 'A reminder of an old friend, and of my greatest failure'.

As he meditated, a rip in space began to form in front of him, larger than him by quite a bit, at least 5 times the size of himself and completely silent. As the tear fully opened, a large equine shaped being walked out, barely making a sound as it did. As the rift silently closed behind it, the entity continued to stare at the man sat in front of it in silence, until one of them decided to speak.

"You're getting quieter, I almost didn't hear you that time." Began the sage, not breaking his meditation or even moving from his position on the ground. "But your still not quite quiet enough to sneak up on me old friend."

The entity snorted in amusement, lowering itself to the floor and laying in front of its favorite human. As it did, it decided to fire back with it's personal favorite insult.

"And your looking halfway to decent, even with that untamable mop you call a head of hair" it replied, amusement seeming to twinkle in its eyes.

"HEY, I'll have you know I've been called very distinguished and formal looking in this stupid get-up! And the only reason I wear it is cause you don't stop complaining when we talk if I don't!" responded the irate blond, pointing a finger at the amused deity. As he quickly calmed down, he demeanor quickly changed from humored and carefree, to the utmost seriousness.

"So, what's the problem this time? You never summon me out of nowhere unless there's a real issue, especially not to the spear pillar?" questioned Naruto, staring into the eyes of the divine creature. Not exactly a good idea for most people, as staring into the eyes of divinity was a one way trip into insanity due to the human mind being unable to comprehend the sheer complexity behind the composition hidden in the eyes of the divine. The old phrase 'the eyes are the windows to the soul' is particularly potent in this manner. Almost no regular mortals are truly able to comprehend divinity and the full weight that comes with it. But then, as any who knew him could assure you, Naruto was far from normal or even mortal by the standard argument.

"In the region humans have come to call Kalos, the core stone has been forcibly mutated and warped by a group of humans into a weapon capable of wiping out all life on this earth if it gathers enough energy. It currently moves toward the settlement the humans have called Anistar city on the will of the leader of the group that began its mutation." Began the god of Pokémon, it's countenance growing grimmer and more angered as he continued to speak on what had been done to his gift to his children. He gave certain species back their more primal and stronger forms in order to protect the world and some vile little human warps his gift into a weapon against them? He was furious with the impudent whelp. "The crystal of pure power outside of it is his goal, if the core stone can absorb it, it will have enough power to explode and wipe out all life on this earth. You have to stop it before it's too late."

"I don't think my normal crew, despite their own power, will be enough… call up the disaster team, please." Naruto requested, standing from his seat on the floor. When he finished standing, 6 portals opened up around him, each leading to a different area of the world.

Naruto turned to face them, smiling at the six Pokémon that walk/floated through. Spreading his arms, he greeted each of them warmly "My friends! Welcome, thank you for taking the time to hear me today!"

"I won't lie, I asked the six of you here to help me with a dangerous task, one that might even cause injury to us all. So, I'm going to ask, will you help me?" he requested, looking at his feet.

The response? A collection of six separate, distinct calls roaring out in response to his request.

With a grin, he turned to his patron and gave his affirmative response to his silent question.

"Send us in!"

(Back to Kalos we GO)

"Come on old friend!" called Naruto, throwing out a distinct Pokéball. The bottom was a moss green color, while the top was a white base with golden highlights and three different colored circles in a circle around the top. One red, one blue, and the last a steel grey. "Let's do this Regigigas!"

With a burst of brilliant light, the colossal Pokémon crashed onto the ground with a massive boom shaking the earth under the feet of the group behind it. As it stood at its dominating 12 feet tall, the great colossus threw its head back with a mighty cry of raw power, throwing a shockwave out from the sheer force of its exertion.

"Regigigas!" it roared before charging forwards towards the Giant Rock, a cry from its old friend following behind him.

"Giga impact Regigigas! Send that thing back!" shouted Naruto, the call easily reaching the ears of his old friend. When it rapidly began to pick up speed and a cone of power began to swarm around it, he whipped around to shout at the group behind him. "BRACE YOURSELVES!"

Crouching down, the group quickly braced themselves against the earth for the incoming shockwave, while Naruto merely turned back around to stare at the coming impact.

Acting quickly, Lysander sent a group of stone tentacles to intercept the approaching legendary Pokémon, hoping to use the tentacles to bind it once the shockwave had dissipated and he could hold it hostage to prevent any further interference.

As the legendary normal type and the Giant rocks defenses collided, a massive impact and dust cloud enshrouded the area around it, completely obscuring it from view. When Naruto sensed more tentacles approaching the dust cloud, he quickly pointed his staff into the dust cloud and utilized one of his favorite techniques. It had a rather simple effect, it allowed for a second attack with double the power of the first, no matter the strength of the first.

"Twice Critical" he called, a white beam of energy flying into the dust cloud to where he knew his physically strongest ally was standing. When it vanished in, Regigigas burst out of the smoke cloud right in front of the Giant rock, the cone of energy twice as big as before and moving much faster.

Jumping at the rock, the legendary Pokémon quickly crashed into it, forcing the rock back hundreds of yards, sending the damned creation flying high off the ground in the process. Falling back to the ground, in a three point superhero landing no less, the colossal Pokémon tried to stand back up, but quickly found itself being forced to take a knee from exhaustion.

That was the rather hefty drawback of Twice Critical. In exchanged for doubling the overall power of any attack and allowing another to be performed immediately after the first, the body took massive strain, the severity depending on the move in question. A simple Tackle attack wouldn't affect the body except for the youngest of Pokémon. A move like Giga Impact, however, when affected by Twice Critical, unless painstakingly trained and experienced with the draw back and usage, wrecked even the physical powerhouse that is Regigigas. It was simply too much power in one attack to not have a massive recoil on the body.

Walking up beside the kneeling titan of physical power, putting his hand on the knee of one of his oldest friends, Naruto spoke directly to him.

"Take a break, with that attack, you've pushed him back a significant amount. Plenty enough to buy the other's ample amounts of time to deal with it."

Turning slightly to look at the one human it actually liked, the master of the titans nodded what passed for its head, before ceasing its efforts to rise to its feet and began the process of recovering it's incredible strength.

Pulling out four more Pokéballs he quickly whipped them forward, releasing the four Pokémon squad of his response team. This squad weren't as directly powerful as Regigigas or the last member of his squad, but together they were capable of putting up an amazing fight against even far superior opponents. The four Pokéballs, just like the first, each had a unique design to them.

The first one was a mostly matte black ball bar the small, jagged circle of red surrounding a circle of pure white on the top. Emerging from the haze the ball released when it opened was the Pitch-Black Pokémon, Darkrai. Unlike most of the species, who stood at just under 5 feet tall, this one stood at just over 6 feet tall, marking it as a superior member of the Darkrai species. Not quite an Alpha, those rumored to possess the kings gene, but still stronger than the average member of the species. One of the oldest members of the squad, he had joined in the days before Sinnoh had been known as Sinnoh, back when it was still Hisui.

The second Pokéball was a mostly colored a soft purple color, with two white protrusions on the bottom half, and a golden square on the top with two peach ovals right beneath them on the 'front' of the ball. In those ovals were two smaller circles. Emerging from the ball was the Paleozoic Pokémon, the ancient Genesect. With matching colors to its Pokéball, the ancient, revived Pokémon quickly shifted from its normal form to its high speed flight configuration and took off to circle around and scan for other threats.

The third poke ball had a soft cream colored bottom with a deep blue top, the top having three stripes running over the top of it. The middle stripe was a vibrant orange color, with the two smaller one's on either side having a softer blue color then the rest of the ball. Emerging from the ball was the Colt Pokémon, Keldeo. He was the newest addition to the response team, only working with them for 10 short years. The newest member before him had been around for 20 years, everyone else had been around for hundreds.

The fourth and final Pokéball of the team was the most multicolored of the lot, with a darker blue bottom, a darker orange colored top with three lighter blue circles on the top. The last detail was the button on the front, instead of being the standard metal grey, was a deep, yet pale purple. Emerging from the ball was the DNA Pokémon, the space born Deoxys. He had joined them when Naruto had saved it from being destroyed by his oldest friend. Feeling a sense of gratefulness for its life being saved, it had joined them in an effort to repay what it viewed as a life-dept.

This was the group that Naruto had assembled to aid him in large scale threat suppression. In fact, the last time the two deities' of time and space decided to stir the pot in the mortal realm and have a battle there, his team were able to sperate them and force them to put the conflict off till they were away from the four of them, and away from human settlements.

"All right, let's go guys!" called Naruto looking at his squadron, before looking past them to the monstrosity that was arising from where Regigigas had hit it to. "We've got to bring that thing down. You all know how to fight together, so follow Darkrai's orders. He's in command for a reason."

Seeing the great rock rise, he pointed the staff right at it, a cry leaving his lips. "Go! Destroy it!"

As his disaster response team charged in to attempt to destroy the monstrosity, he turned to face the assembled group behind him, observing the group as they studied him, trying to determine if they were anything worth speaking to. The three at the front were by far and away the strongest members of the group, from what he understood of the modern realm, they were viewed as high ranking members of the Pokémon league organization, the current regional professor, the current regional league champion, and the former league champion of Hoenn region.

Their Pokémon beside them were all incredibly strong, each being an exemplary member of their species. Though, in his own mind, not as strong as his own members of their species, but that might just be bias on his part. Not only were they strong though, no they had formed a strong enough bond to use the mega-evolution process his patron had returned to them. An impressive accomplishment to be sure, considering the one-in-five hundred chance of forming a strong enough bond to do so.

With a small sigh, he walked right up to them, stopping in front of Steven Stone, the only one with enough guts to step forward to meet him, while the other two had taken a step back behind him, hiding behind their partners. Stevens own partner hung in the air right beside him, waiting for his trainers command.

On the outside, Naruto kept an impassive façade on his face. Inwardly, Naruto had a huge grin on his face. Finally, someone with enough guts to muster up the courage to stand in front of him without backing down. After decades of simpering league presidents, he was tired of dealing with cowards and politicians. Here was a man who had no need to be anything other than a corporate businessman, what with his father being who he was, but choose instead to become a warrior, all for the good of the world.

He gave up his own time, and often times risked his own life, all in the pursuit of keeping the peace and protecting the world itself. Hell, Naruto knew for a fact Steven had stepped in to quell the squabbling children that were Groudon and Kyogre multiple times now. Anyone who had the patience and ability to deal with those two had not only his respect, but also his partners. Not an easy thing to achieve, Naruto knew that for a fact, considering Naruto could count the number of people his partner respected aside from himself on one hand with fingers to spare.

Ah, but he must attend to him now he supposed. Staring him in the eye, he opened up dialogue between to them.

"Is everyone alright?" he questioned, glancing behind Steven to check them himself.

"Some bumps and bruises, a couple of them a bit worse than that, but by majority their alright." Steven responded, his own thoughts matching with Naruto's. Establish talks after everyone has been checked and taken care of.

"Good, I thought I didn't make it here in time. I was concerned that someone had gotten seriously hurt in my absence. Happy to hear that isn't the case." He breathed out letting the tension release within him, his shoulders sinking ever so slightly before squaring back up with the inhale.

"Now to deal with this mess…" he said turning back to face the problem at hand.

"Hold on! At least tell us your name stranger!" called professor Sycamore, reaching out to stop him from leaving until he got a name at least. After all, he had to report a trainer with multiple legendary and mythical Pokémon on his team to the league. No one trainer, no matter who that may be, could be trusted with that kind of power. Even regional champions like Steven and pyramid head Brandon were closely monitored to ensure their compliance with league and regional laws.

"Relax professor Sycamore, I'm something of an enforcer of the world peace that the league preaches." He responded, still facing towards the battle his team was fighting. "The top brass of the league is aware of my existence, along with the senior regional professors. The fact that you lot are even seeing me is an incredible shift from my usual operational standards."

"Then give us a name to reference and check, if you're so confident in that!" sycamore retorted, a light glare settling onto his face at the knowledge that he was a known factor to the Pokémon league, but not every regional professor was told about him to watch out for.

"Does the name league champion Lance satisfy your desires, professor?" he responded, his own patience beginning to slip at the audacity of the youngster behind him. "If not him, how about Cynthia of Sinnoh? If they aren't enough, will Samuel Oak suffice?"

With the three names of the references thrown out there, all of the members of the Pokémon league present stiffened, not in fear, but shock that he would so casually name drop the current indigo league champion, often viewed as one of the stronger champions out there, and immediately follow up with Cynthia of Sinnoh, the strongest female trainer on the planet by a wide margin.

Not to mention dropping the name of Professor Samuel Oak, often considered the leading expert on Pokémon worldwide, and the most respected professor around. The only one even close to being considered his equal in knowledge and experience was Professor Rowan of Sinnoh.

If he was speaking the truth, and those three were to back up his claim, then there was nothing anyone of them could do to impede him. He was league sanctioned and verified, meaning he was untouchable.

"And as for my name…" he continued, still facing the ongoing battle that his team was slowly being pushed back in, before he glanced at them over his shoulder.

"The names Naruto Uzumaki. Remember it." He finished, looking back forward to see his team take heavy blows from the rock due to Lysander controlling it, his own brilliance matching Darkrai's experience, and forcing massive damage on the team. Gritting his teeth, he quickly called all four of them back, the four of them coming to rest behind him.

"You all did well. Take a rest, me and Ryu will handle it." He whispered, pulling out his sixth and final Pokéball. It was an obsidian black ball, darker than even Darkrai's, forged of the material it was colored, with a golden infinity symbol circling the ball and red blood ruby rings circling the top and bottom of the ball. The metal band, instead of plain metal grey, was a clean golden metal with a black diamond release button. As for why it was forged of valuable metals and gems rather than regular materials like apricorns and iron, the materials used were the only ones with the ability to contain the creature within, its powers so great that normal materials were unable to hold it.

Totally not because the Pokémon within was vain and a pretentious asshole who refused to be contained in anything other than the finest of Pokéballs. Completely not because of that. Not at all. Nope.

.

..

… Alright it's because the one within was a fussy asshole who wanted to be special. There ya happy?!

"Let's go Ryu!" Naruto called, whipping the Pokéball up towards the sky, before it burst open with a massive snapping sound, before an absolutely enormous stream of white energy poured out of the ball, taking on a long, serpentine shape that flowed through the air.

When the form fully realized, the white light covering it sharded off, revealing the enormous Pokémon within. It revealed itself to be a member of the sky-high Pokémon species, the legendary Rayquaza. But there were a couple things that were different when compared to normal.

First, it was ENORMOUS! Most Rayquaza top out, from observation, at 23 feet long. This one from first observations, eclipsed them all at an easy 70 feet long! Over three times the size of a normal one! Second, it was Shiny! Instead of its normal green coloring, it was a pitch black color!

The third and final thing they all noticed was an armored collar beneath its head, with a shiny rock embedded into the middle of it. Was that…? No, that couldn't be a mega evolution stone, could it?! It was!

"The others have worn it down Ryu, let's bring it down, once and for all!" he called, his partner punctuating his statement with an earth and air shaking roar, sending everyone behind him that were stood upright to the ground from the force of its roar. Lowering its head to stare at the corrupted form of the core stone, it shifted its eyes to meet Naruto's own, before nodding its head once. Nodding his own head in response, he spun his staff quickly, the form of it shifting to have a single crystal on the top rather than his stylized ring.

"Hey, you lot have seen what a Rayquaza looks like when it mega evolves on it's own right?" he questioned, directing his question at the group behind him. At the stares he got from Steven, Sycamore and Alain, he quickly understood that only those three had any clue what he was talking about. The rest of the group looked utterly confused, glancing amongst themselves to try and decipher his words.

"Yes, what does that have to do with anything?" questioned Steven, his own curious nature shining through.

"I just said it, that's the mega form it can take on it's own, are you ready to see what happens when it has not only a partner it trusts, but one strong enough to power the other side of the bond?" questioned Naruto, a large grin spreading over his face.

Before the others could respond, he raised his staff high, the crystal on top taking on an immense light before shining a huge beam straight at the legendary dragon type Pokémon. When it hit the sky high Pokémon, the light burst from the depths, bathing the world in light.

And heralding the return of the sky dragon.

AND THAT IS IT! That's it for now, I'll have some more for you hopefully soon. I am busy with other things in life at the same time as all of this, but I'm trying folks!

So, the full 'disaster response team' as it were, are as follows:

Regigigas LV: 100

Darkrai LV: 100

Genesect LV: 90

Keldeo LV: 80

Deoxys LV: 90

Rayquaza LV: LIMIT EXCEEDED

What do I mean by 'limit exceeded'? Simple, this isn't any normal Rayquaza, beyond even the shiny or alpha factors, this Rayquaza was created specifically for Naruto by Arceus well before the species was properly born.

It holds a portion of an omnipotent god's power, to quote boomstick from death battle "what's half of infinity? IN-FUCKING-FINITY!" same concept, 1% of infinity is still infinity, that's not gonna change. The only limit on what the power output is the form it comes from. Which is why I say that movie where Arceus dies is bullshit. You can't kill an omnipotent deity, you can kill the mortal shell it channels its power through, but not the deity itself.

Anyway, yeah, Ryu is Naruto's true partner, one that's been with him since he entered the service of Arceus and is bonded to him on such a level that true mega evolution is possible for Ryu. What does that mean? I left a hint, review and let me know if anyone figured it out.

So, if you liked the story, leave a comment! It always helps me to read some positive reviews and constructive criticisms are always helpful. Any flamers will be used to cook well-done steaks for the hunters of Bherna village, the Soaratorium, Astera, Seliana, Kamura village and Elgado outpost. Keep your stamina up folks!
