Eminence of KAGE (An Isekai/New World RWBY Fanfiction)
Chapter 1 - Death, Rebirth and Shounens
AN: This is a new project that I'm working on. This is inspired from the fanfiction "Remnant's Climax Heroes" [by Gundam-Knight-Chris] and Remnant of the Key [by lyokoMARVELanime or studiofandom in DeviantArt/YouTube]. This story is meant to honor the late Monty Oum (creator of RWBY series) and contains certain mixes from Shounen Anime. I own nothing, and certainly not RT (Rooster Teeth) as they made a huge mistake on disregarding the late creator's wish on RWBY. Seriously, I feel sad for Monty as well as disappointed to RT for causing so the series to immensely flop.
I'll follow the 'color-naming' rule for RWBY but their powers [semblances] will be familiar to readers as they are from anime. As usual to my stories… THERE WILL BE HAREM ELEMENTS IN SHIPPING. I won't be announcing their weapons yet, but in this trailer, their names might pop-up… or the future generation of this team. I'm going to avoid giving too much spoilers so there you go. As the name of the title, their team name means "Shadow" as they are shrouded in mystery that only a select few may find out. Also, everyone's favorite thing here… Pyrrha Nikos will not die. We all know how much we hated that.

[Opening Theme: Highest - OxT from Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute! (The Eminence in Shadows)]

Opening shows a wasteland while in cumulonimbus clouds darkens everything. The wasteland are filled with broken trinkets such as broken star-spangled orbs, scouter device, torn gi-cloth, forehead protectors, kunai knives, scrolls, armors, books with circles and symbols, cars, swords, shields, televisions and others.
Tada risou ni todoku made kono te nobashite [Just reach out your hand until you reach your ideals]
Then it shows four paths divided with four young men walking. The first is an African-American macho man [Christopher Carson] with fuzzy hair. The second is an Asian-American [Dawn Botenmaru] with well-combed brushed-up hair with an eyepatch. Third is a Filipino-Englishman [Joseph "Rizalino" Mercado-Alonzo] wearing a lab coat and well-kept hair. Last is a Yiddish-Christian [Elijah Ariel Belmont] wearing black clothing/rekel with a top-hat.
As the four youth continued their walk, the screen zooms out and reveals the title letters: EMINENCE OF KAGE (A RWBY Isekai Story)
Me no mae ni nobiru sentakushi [The choice that stretches out before me]
Reveals a girl in red hood (Ruby Rose) reading a magazine while listening with her headphones near a DUST shop while waiting for a vehicle to ride for home.
Zen to aku to no haguruma wa iku [The wheels of right and wrong kept going on]
Scene changes as it shows a young blond [Jaune Arc] at the verge of vomiting in a flying bullhead plane. The flying vehicle rocks which forces the blond to puke his breakfast.
Tada hitotsu dake no ketsumatsu e [Yet they both lead to one ending path]
Next scene shows a Goldilocks (Yang Xiao-Long) rushing at the escalator stairs while revealing a fliers of a white-haired heiress (Weiss Schnee) posted on the walls of the place.
Nanimokamo guuzen no Choice [Everything is an accidental choice]
Next is a building hallway showing an optimistic girl (Nora Valkyrie) chatting with a green-clothed man [Lie Ren] while he is reading some papers.
Soshite mata tsugi e no aizu [And a signal for the next chapter]
While somewhere at a dark alleyway, a cat[panther]-faunus (Blake Belladonna) is beating some human thieves while preparing to move away in hurry.
Kanousei no genkai made [To the limits of possibleness]
Scene changes as it shows a female Spartan (Pyrrha Nikos) at her contestant room, preparing for her match by donning her weapons and armors.
Sono yukusaki o mitsumete [Carefully look to where it goes]
At Beacon classroom, the screen shows Ruby sitting down at the student desk while keeping her headphones within her bags.
Only one hoka ni wa iranai [Only one, I don't want anything else]
To the one dake misuetetai [To the one that I want to focus on]
The screen zooms to the whole room showing their current routine of listening to class until it finishes with the teacher leaving the room.
Yuzure wa shinai shinnen to ketsui [Unyielding faith and dauntless determination]
Kono mune ni himete [They're all hidden in my heart]
After class, Ruby then opened her scroll device and shown a map of an incoming target. She then alerts the rest of the teams to hurry to the outside and wore their huntsman/combat clothing.
Highest, highest, I'm going on
At the sky, Grimm such as Wyvern and Nevermore soars to the sky. Yang then jumps while firing from her Ember Celica some blazing shots to the ground while Nora readies her Magnhild in hammer mode to slam the Ursa and Beowulf.
Shinjitsu yori shinsou no kage o ike [In the shadow of the truth, I'll go to where it's laid bare]
At the roof, Weiss prepares glyphs from her Myrtenaster while Jaune and Pyrrha protects her from incoming projectiles with Akouo and the shield of Crocea Mors. Blake drops into the glyph and powers herself up while readying her Gambol Shroud in reverse grip. She then rushes forwards and darts towards the Nevermore.
Highest, highest, I'll carry on
At the air, Ruby propels herself towards the Wyvern with her scythe, Crescent Rose while preparing to deliver a slashing blow. But the screen became static and shuts down like a television, revealing at the reflection of the four former youths.
Ze ga hi demo saa nozomunara kokou ni tsuranuke [No matter come what may, if you desire it then go reach for it alone]
The youth then flickers each of their television with the African-American [Christopher Carson] flicking his first, showing Coco Adel and Melanie Malachite twins then shutting off, revealing a new Spartan warrior with brown skin and odd golden marks on his body as birthmarks and two chained axe-magnums [Kuronox "Kuro" Aurelius-Kratos]. Next to flick is the Asian-American [Dawn Botenmaru], showing pictures of Blake Belladonna then Yang Xiao-Long before shutting down, revealing a new man wearing a tattered Black Fang uniform beneath some armors with four katanas with tomoe-encircling crimson eyes/Sharingan [Akatsuki Uchiha]. The next is the Filipino-Englishman flickering his TV, showing Weiss Schnee and a rabbit faunus/Velvet Scarlatina before shutting it down. Revealing a handsome man wearing Atlasian-Military uniform with gloves marked by a hexagram star/David's Star inscribed within two-layered circles and some symbols of Latin, Greek, and Hebrew (Transmutation Circle) and carrying a pair of pointed baton-lances at his belt [Filibuster "Philip" Gainsborough]. Last to flicker the fourth TV is the Yiddish-Christian showing Ruby Rose, Miltia Malachite and then a static showing of Ozpin and Glynda before flicking out and revealing a new male. This time he is wearing a Gilgamesh-gold armor with a waist-length vermilion cape and a blond-spiky hair with a face similar to Jaune Arc, donning his buckler shield and whip-sword/slingshot hybrid weapon [Elijah Loewe Arc].
After their TV shuts down, the four new young men walked away and the scene changed to a roof with Team RWBY and JNPR (Ruby and Juniper) welcoming them as they look at the sunset of the city of Vale.
[Opening Theme Ends]
-Chapter 1: Death Rebirth and Young Men-
In an unknown place, filled with the vast void of darkness, a young naked African-American awoken from his slumber, hissing in pain. "N[word], where the heck am I? Where's my clothes?" he said as other men also broke from lethargy. One of the youths is an Asian-American with an eyepatch and seemed to have a face of an gokudou (gangster). The other is a lean Filipino-Englishman with a handsome feature and last is a German/Yiddish who is short, lean and blond.
"Oh no, is this hell? Or was I kidnapped by hooligans?" the Yiddish shortie said.
Then a voice spoke, "No… all of you died. What you are now are just souls." as light then emanated from the dark void, turning everything into a pure white room. Two figures then appeared, one of which is another Asian-American with shades and bright colored hair while the other is a brown-skinned old man with silvery hairs and short facial hairs. "Wazzup, fellas." said the figure.
"Oh screw me, is that Monty Oum?", said the African-American.
"The creator of RWBY. That's him?", asked the Filipino-Englishman
"Didn't he die from coma? No disrespect sir but your death really affected many fans and how the show ran.", said the Asian-American.
"Oh I know. Kinda disappointed on how things turned out.", Monty said.
"If you're Monty, then who's he?" The Yiddish as he pointed the 'Morgan Freeman' looking fella.
"Oh yeah, he looked hella lot like Morgan Freeman… hold on, then?", The African-American realized.
"Wanna do the honors, sir?", Monty asked 'Morgan Freeman'
"Sure… I am, that I am… I AM ETERNITY, INFINITY, THE ONE ABOVE ALL, THE FIRST PRESENCE, THE BEGINNING [ALPHA/ALEPH] AND THE END [OMEGA/TAU]. Take a guess then.", He said.
"Those titles… You're God! The Lord, Jehovah/Yahweh, Adonai, Elohim, Allah in Arabic! The Supreme Maker of all!", the Yiddish proclaimed as he genuflected to the figure.
"Panginoong Bathala [Lord God], so that means we're being judged of our deeds!", the Filipino-Englishman said.
"Oh shoot, n[word]… I'm scared! I didn't do so much in my life! Please forgive us of our sins!", the African-American spoke.
"So he's Kami, the true God! Then all those religious stuff is real?", The Asian-American said.
"As real as it can get, but I also know that some people ruined my books and mistreated my commandments. Which disappoints me so much, but I still loved my creation. As for the whole judgement thing… No, you're not going to Hell. But I will evaluate you all first just to keep a track and have Monty deliver a request for you all.", God[Morgan Freeman] said and continued. [AN: The following are evaluation of each souls so assume that Morgan Freeman is talking]
First: Christopher Carson. African-American. Died in age 23. All your life, you've been streaming Sta. Monica's "God of War" series and finished "GoW: Ragnarok". You've also have been a weeb and a big fan of Akira Toriyama's "Dragon Ball" series. Your educational background is fairly average and although you didn't care about politics… you cared for your fellow African-American community that you prefer a pacifistic protest. You have a girl best friend that had a crush on you and also a fellow anime-manga fan.
Cause of death: You did one last good deed and redeeming act when you pushed a couple of girl lovers away from the harm of an incoming truck driven by a stuporous drunkard.
"So I got hit by the legendary truck-kun. And I saved a couple of lesbo… I mean, that's a good thing since I saved people, right?", Christopher asked.
Don't worry. They sued the driver and called 911 but kinda too late as your body is too broken for repair. At least they acted fairly and called for justice for your untimely demise. Next would be Dawn Botenmaru. Asian-American, mostly Japanese. A big fan of Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto series and participated in conventions and held a decent Zoro or Itachi costume. You have a bit of an 8th-grader syndrome [chuunibyou] despite being 21 but you are quite a prodigy that you've advanced a year to 3rd year college. You act like a gangster and was a top of the Kendo, Iaido and Kenjitsu studies.
Cause of death: You were daring and helped a woman from being mugged and assaulted by two thugs. You beat one with your sword while the victim escaped. But you were careless and got stabbed by a knife. The authorities arrived to capture the muggers but only captured the one you defeated. The escapee however met with a dire fate and fell to the rails of the subway and kissed an incoming train. You died bleeding to death as you arrived at the hospital. Your family had you cremated while your nephews inherited your figurines.
"I see… but what happened to the girl? Is she alright?", said Dawn.
The girl you saved is currently living a good life and destined to marry your brother. They will name their future son after you and their dog as to commemorate you. The defeated mugger will face justice and either gotten reclusion perpetua [permanent incarceration] if he behaves or death row via euthanasia. The one that died… well, he was sent to the 'boiler room' all the way down… I had Lucy himself deal with him.
Third is… Ah, Joseph Mercado-Alonzo… Moniker: Rizalino… named after your national hero I see. You've been born in Philippines with an Englishman mother. You're much younger than the rest as your only 18… about to finish high school. Excelled in the field of science and technology, mostly biochemistry. A big fan of Fullmetal Alchemist by Hiromu Arakawa and just finished the first season of Dr. Stone. Genius and analytical.
Cause of death: Conflagration. During your cleaning routine for the science lab, you were left in charge and submitting the inventory report to your teacher when the laboratory was set ablaze. Apparently you had rivals that are envious of you and sabotaged the chemicals that came in contact with plugs. The inferno trapped some students but you rushed to save them. The lead male saboteur was last to your rescue and shielded him from the roaring flames. Unfortunately, you got crushed by the debris while leading out and burned there. Although, the rival survived… he lived in regret, guilt, shame and haunting nightmares when his cohorts ratted him out. He lost his chance for honors… lost chance for college scholarship and disowned by his family due to behavioral folly.
"Well, punyemas [gosh darn it]… That's one way to go out. I feel sorry for him but… also feel like that was deserved.", Rizalio spoke.
Last on the evaluation is Elijah Ariel Belmont… despite being Yiddish, you got quite a non-German name. Jewish maybe? Born from a Jewish father and Christian mother and an Islam-converted sister. Quite the combo your family. Born and raised in faith, studied theology and martial arts. Excellent in journalism studies and plans either be in news media, writer or to serve in synagogues or churches. Admirable you are, truly a devotee and one of the few that isn't corrupted by religious favoritism and biases. Favoring truth and justice above all else… loves your family dearly and shares this love to your fellows, regardless of background. You did have a small hobby of watching JoJo's Bizarre Adventures by Hirohiko Araki when it aired in TV.
Cause of death: A quake shook the Temple Hybrid [for both Jew and Christian] in Targoviste, Wallachia that caused some debris and statues to fall off. You saved the archbishop and the rabbi when they are discussing their Sabbath sermons for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday. You saved the two men but got crushed by a falling cross.
"Ironic… I lived by that faith… died by that object of faith. But I don't regret anything except not knowing if my sister is doing okay.", Elijah said.
Your worries are valid but know that she's fine. She is married to the son of a benevolent Imam and an Iraqi refugee that fled to the Far Eastern Islamic Community to escape war and violence. The man is loyal and faithful so your sister is quite happy. I know so since she's been praying about it… and about you every time she visits the Mosques. [Note: Assuming it is Philippines, Indonesia or Malaysia.]
"Now that the evaluation is over, you'll be given a choice to either spend eternity here in Heaven or… since you lived quite a short life, you'll be given another chance. Or for common weeb term, Isekai'd to a new world. My world of RWBY to be exact, courtesy of me and God, in His omnipotence on making the Multiverse. You'll forget who you are for a while but when you reach a certain age or earned your Semblance, you'll have your past memories returned. You'll have to go through puberty all over again, but as at least, you'll all be part of the main girls' lives at Beacon", Monty instructed.
"Sweet! We accept!", the quartet spoke.
"Oh, cool. Since you accepted, you'll be given your Semblance whatever it may be. As incentive, you're all free to choose your Semblance and who knows… maybe it will improve or get upgraded each growth. Afterall, most of the Semblance given on my work haven't had a proper evolution or improvement… no thanks to those idiotic Brothers.", Monty said.
The Quartet then huddled and discussed what powers they want… as long as it can evolve or be strong in each solar cycle or in every year they spend. They've decided and spoke to Monty of their choice, in which he listened carefully.
Christopher Carson: Herculean/Saiyan Aura - The ability of every Saiyan existed in the Dragon Ball series and the Aura very dense and thick. Can also manipulate Aura energy [Chi Blasts, Kamehameha, etc.] within body and often outside [Genki-Dama: Spirit Bomb]. Can initiate Rage Mode [rebrand: Satsu no Hado/Evil Surge] when desperate or furious which gathers negative energy for power, replacing his morals with evil. Evolution: Can absorb the Universal Energy to activate Mu no Ken/Ultra Instinct which grants absolute awareness/evasion and stoic combat presence.
Dawn Botenmaru: Sharingan - The optical prowess that enables Semblance mimicry and certain abilities such as ninjutsu. Mimicry allows Semblance and combat style to be copied to its molecular level, allowing awareness of all things in field vision. Eye contact can also renders illusions and illusory immunity, allowing stronger hypnotism. Evolution into Mangekyou (Kaleidoscopic Mode) allows a much improved mimicry, awareness and abilities such as Susano'o, Amaterasu/Kagutsuchi, Kamui, Tsukuyomi, Kotoamatsukami, and Izanagi/Izanami. Eternal Mangekyou removes certain weaknesses. Final Evolved form - Rinnegan, activates when exposed to Nature Energy [Akin to Maiden Magic] which allows 6 Paths Powers: Heaven, Mecha, Human, Animal, Leech, and Hell.
Joseph Mercado-Alonzo: Alqimia/Alchemy - The ability to learn the composition of anything touched, even the air. This allows the person to transmute objects by deconstructing and reconstructing their formed structure and reshape them, like turning lead to gold, cement into iron or set air ablaze. However, certain rules must be obeyed such as the use of Transmutation Circles (Ritual Circle or Glyph) no matter the size and the Law of Equivalent Exchange [To find/gain is to lose, to lose is to gain/find], which means Conservation of Mass and Natural Providence must be applied (water can only turn to ice or steam, air can combust into flames or create twisters, rocks can be turned to pillars, metals or sand). Using human transmutation will inevitably lead to Truth and gain access to the Gate of Truth (Shaar Hamt) in exchange for a toll such as body parts, but access renders Circles obsolete.
Elijah Ariel Belmont: Tarut Ruach Qodesh/Tarot Holy Spirit - Grants the user a deck of cards representing the Tarot Arcana. On this event, the user can draw one card and from that card drawn, certain Spiritual Construct made of the user's Aura will manifest as a protective guardian to aid in battle. Each Tarot have varying effects [ex: Star - Powerful Combat Spirit, World - Time Stop, Magician - Blaze]. It can last for hours or even a whole day if trained, but will drain half of the user's Aura and will not be used after a while. Spirits drawn are at random to avoid repetitions but each may evolve over time. Injuring a spirit is near-impossible but doing so can hurt the user as well.
"Wow, I should have figure as much. Oh well, hope you enjoy your stay in the world of Vytal/Remnant. And just to remind you, say hello to Oz for me.", Oum said as he sent the quartet's soul to their respective destination. The God suddenly reminded him.
"You've neglected to say that they won't recognize each other until they meet at Beacon, Oum."
"Meh, they'll figure it out. Now I need some good cup of espresso latte."
[Planet Remnant: Formerly Vytal]
-West Coast of Menagerie-
At sunset in the western coast of Menagerie, land of the Faunus, there is a secluded island that none had ever seen… none except the Faunus people. The island is filled with trees with a small manor at the center… an island called "The War Fan", home of the secret family of Uchiha. The manor was beautiful but seemed to be quiet and empty, except for a boy, a man and a baby.
"That did it, with this… no one can resurrect 'her'. I won't let Salem nor anyone use the eyes. I won't let the Shinju tree to be erected… Father had sacrificed his life to prevent 'mother' from destroying this world. I'm only sorry that my brother will not know his real parents.", the boy said.
"It was for the best, Tasogare. Your 'mother' changed when she regained her old memories. I always have this uncanny feeling about her… about having multiple souls trapped within her. Now that I know that she's an alien not from Remnant, I did what I must and helped Nichirin fight Byakuya. As for the young boy, send him to the Belladonna's household. They'll take care of him.", the man said.
"What about you, Gainsborough? Like Oz, you're another man out of time. Where will you go now that you've sent your child to the Schnee household?", Tasogare asked.
"Gainsborough… Artaxerxes won't be my name for much longer. I'll travel the world as Theophrastus the Wandering Hermit. I'm not going to be welcomed in Solitas, in Mantle nor in Atlas anymore… not after learning the true nature of DUST and the incident using my Semblance. It's much better that way and… I get to see whether or not the Witch is making her move.", the man known as Artaxerxes/Theophrastus said.
"Ironwood may not be pleased of your choice. You along team STRQ and some few were his best buddies. I barely know the man yet his connection with Oz makes it so easy to know his nature. Then there's Arc… gone earlier than us and Daichi… that Beanie-headed giant vanishing with no trace. Deciding that it's better to be a fighter or farmer than a teacher might have been a much peaceful choice.", Tasogare added.
"I must leave now, Tasogare. This might be the last time we could meet… You've been a great protege. Daichi's a good partner… Arc's a great ally in battle. Now it's time for the past to end. A twilight of our generation if you may call it. I hope that the past would not devour the well-deserved future this generation should attain.", Artaxerxes/Theophrastus commented.
"Twilight… That's a clever word. Tasogare is Mistralian for dusk or twilight. Perhaps I should borrow that. If my brother meet me in the future, we'll be enemies… in hopes that he'll never discover the truth about our family's origin. The Shinju Tree, mother's Otsutsuki blood and invasion plan.", Tasogare [now called Twilight] said.
[AN: In a hindsight of the story, I might make KAGE Mythos which will detail certain myths, legends and histories of the world of Remnant. Containing the four deities that nurtured Remnant when Brothers of Light and Dark abandoned the planet, along with entities that benefited or threatened the life in of the planet. Since this is a fanfic X-over of RWBY and Shounen Anime, expect names/terms like Otsutsuki, Senzu Beans, Magic, Relics, etc.]
Indeed they have left. Tasogare/Twilight had used some kind of ability to form a time-space gateway to send Artaxerxes/Theophrastus to the northern fjord of Solitas, while Tasogare/Twilight left his infant brother to the doorsteps of Menagerie's chieftain household. Tasogare/Twilight's eyes glowed a crimson red as he laid down his kin, prepared to leave him. "Farewell, brother. The next time we meet, we'll be foes… so the truth may never reveal. Forgive me, but you deserve much love than what our parents could offer… but our mother is no more. She is now a husk of her former self, a monster. Ah… but that's right. I haven't given you your name. I am Twilight, you'll be my dawn… my little Akatsuki.", Tasogare/Twilight said as he kissed his infant brother's forehead and set him to the welcoming mat. Covered in blanket and placed a paper on his coating, in hopes that the new parent may know his name and read the note. "The truth is laid in darkness so that only those who can brave the shadows find it. No man can handle the truth, for they will tremble before it.", as Tasogare/Twilight spoke while knocking and soon vanishing via the time-space gate from his eyes.
-Belladonna Household-
Kali Belladonna looked down on the crib, viewing the sleeping face of her beloved infant daughter, Blake. The father and chief of the household, Ghira Belladonna is currently away and leading yet another protest for equality under the banner of White Fang. Despite the wife's desire to assist her beloved's peaceful crusade, nothing beats the duty of a mother to her child. She internally wished that her daughter could stay forever an innocent angel. Soon, she heard a knock on the door. She isn't expecting any visitors nor her husband ever noted her of one. She left her child quietly to ensure that she wouldn't wake up and cry. Once at the door, she opened it but saw nobody there.
Nobody… but the blanket-covered male infant. She looked if there are any sign of an adult that left the the poor innocent soul at her door. The blanket contained the War Fan Insignia [Uchiha Crest] with a symbol of two koi-fishes, black and white, circling each other with opposing marks [Yin-Yang: White Crescent Quarter Moon for black, Black Gibbous Quarter Moon for white.] along with the note that she picked up.
Akatsuki Uchiha, please take good care of him. He is the last of the Uchiha name.
That is what was written on the note. She then picked the sleeping boy up and asked to herself, "Who would leave a human baby here? And the last Uchiha? Does this mean… Devileye's dead? This baby is related to the man with the demon's eye!"
Mixed feelings was building up to the mother's chest, but she isn't one to turn away the fragile child to his devices. Her maternal intuition kicked in. She carried the 'human' boy inside and placed him near the infant Blake. Immediately, both infants caressed each other, as if some kind of instinct kicked in. Both smiled and and slept soundly, their destinies united. Kali said to herself, "Devileye or not, this child is innocently unaware of those cursed eyes. I'll keep them safe, from now on… I'll be your mother, Akatsuki. Oh I can't wait to tell Ghira about this."
She then left the two silently as they continued their sleep. Kali was never been that happy. She was the joyous Faunus mother that none shall comprehend.
-Continent of Solitas: City of Atlas-
At the floating city, Artaxerxes/Theophrastus is walking casually until he was stopped by a few Atlasean military bots. Afterwards, he was allowed to walk towards to his destination: Schnee Manor. The man then placed the basket he held to the doorstep of the noble home before leaving, not before reactivating the security as he had some device that controls the Atlasean technology. He then vanished from the ongoing blizzard.
A few minutes later, the head of the Schnee Dust Company, Jacques Gele-Schnee found the basket and opened it, seeing a black-haired boy, shivering in the cold weather. Wondering why would a baby be placed in his place as he was already burdened with two daughters, Jacques stared coldly on the shaking infant as it continued to suffer in the cold. The arrogant man scowled and growled softly at the sight. He could call the security to remove the nuisance… or he could do it himself as some sadistic form of stress-relief. But then came his wife…
"Jacques. What are you doing standing there?", she said as she saw the basket containing the child. She gasps in surprise and approached near. "And why haven't you've done anything? Aren't you going to take that inside? Poor child must be dying from the blizzard!"
"What reason do I need to? We've already enough trouble with two daughters. Another burden would just be a nuisance. Better remove a weed before it blooms to affect the good grass!", Jacques replied. "Oh, don't be like that. Poor child must be freezing. Besides, if you don't get a male heir, this may very well the answer. Can you deny that?", the wife responded. A grunt and sigh was uttered by the current CEO of the company. "Fine then. But it will be your cross to bear, not mine. If Winter and Weiss failed my standard, he's only to serve as backup, Willow.", Jacques spoke. Willow, for the first time, filled with glee as she took the boy inside as she caressed it and gave it warmth. She noticed a red-gem pendant that it was holding and a note within the basket. She took it and unfold the paper and saw only a few words.

"Filibuster… Gainsborough!? Is that your name?", Willow stuttered in surprise. Jacques' disinterested look became a shock as his eyes became wide open. "Gainsborough? As in like Artaxerxes the Philosopher? That child is related to that man!", Jacques question. Willow replied, "Apparently, he's the son of that man. The one with such semblance that created artificial DUST. Then this gem pendant is his last DUST".
Jacques laughed of the turn of events. He didn't expect that the one at his doorstep is the renegade Philosopher. Either Ironwood had allowed him back or he has his way with Atlasean technology as he was once a councilman and proponent of the city's success in development. Creating artificial DUST and some kind of Soul infusion laboratory for the Polledina household, along with many. That Philosopher left after some tragic incident occurred that involved his pseudo-DUST production house in both Mantle and the floating city… something to do with a failed attempt to create clones and artificial humanoids as opposed to robotic employs. Although it meant that he lost a business partner, he can never deny the use of a Gainsborough anyway, perhaps having his kin… the Philosopher's son may benefit him in the long run… if he can uphold to his father's capabilities and genius. Perhaps he can produce these so-called artificial DUST that the pendant contains. Jacques then returned to his study room as Willow is left to care for the infantile philosopher.
"So you're the son of the Philosopher. Filibuster… which means the 'rebel' or the 'stymie/hinder'. Artaxerxes gave us such a great blessing despite his exile. I promise I'll take good care of you. Winter and Weiss will be happy to have a baby brother.", Willow uttered as she carried the child to nurse him.
Meanwhile, a spy camera had taken footage of the events in the Schnee Manor. It recorded the successful adoption of Filibuster Gainsborough. The military general then whispers, "Artaxerxes… Whatever you are planning, I pray to Oum that it'll be successful. You were once our renowned Philosopher until the council removed you unjustly."
-Mistral Continent: Land of Argus-
Minerva Marcos-Nikos, the red-haired mother of the mirthful Pyrrha , is holding her daughter with great joy as she heard that her sister had also given birth to a strong monkey-tailed Faunus of a son. Diana Marcos-Kratos, wife of the retired hidden Huntsman, Daichi [named after the earth or some black soybean - as per Saiya-jin names] Aurelius-Kratos, both traveled from Mistral to Vacuo for a source of income due to their blossoming farmlands. After a few days of supply delivery to the nigh-lawless desert, the woman gave birth to such a healthy yet strong baby boy. And now, they have returned after their long trip… safely and secured, no doubt from the strength of the father. But his venture is far from over since he planned on going away again to find various seeds from whole Remnant for his farm.
Back to Minerva, she gently rocked her slumbering daughter as she hears a knock on the door. Excited to reunite with her sister and meet her nephew, Minerva shuffled the infant daughter to her left side and opened the door, revealing Diana and a baby carrier containing her son.
"Diana, good to see you after all this time!", Minerva greeted with a smile. "Likewise, sister. It's been a while.", Diana replied. Minerva and Diana are quite the sisters, twins in fact [just imagine Dream Pyrrha from Ice Queendom in either Vacuo and Mistralian attire] as both had the signature red-hair and green eyes. The son had his signature brown skin and hair with his long monkey tail wrapped like a belt on the waist. Both sisters settled down on the couch as they placed their children near and smiled in the sense of calmness and warmth. The two mothers spoke with each other as the night remained long.
"Is that my niece? Seems like she inherited most of you.", Diana said. "Yep, and this little fuzzy boy is my nephew? Strange, he has a monkey's tail. Is he a Faunus?", Minerva asked. "Yes, Daichi is afterall a monkey-Faun.", Diana said nervously as if holding to a secret. "But, I never saw his tail. Or any Faunus feature.", Minerva wondered. "It's a little thing with his ancestry in Vacuo. Before moving to Mistral after retiring from Huntsman duty, he told me about it. Said that as a passage of rites, he'll cut off the tail on the eighth year of his birth. He said about some legends that increases his Aura's density when they cut it off, but he said that he believed that the cutting was to indicate escape from captors so that no one of his family can grab their tail and drag them back to slavery.", Diana explained.
Minerva now thought of this tradition. Seems that Daichi's ancestry had a much deeper history. She believed Diana's explanation as there's no reason for her to suspect any form of adultery. The boy did have features that looked a lot like his father. Diana then asked, "What's her name?" as Minerva then replied. "Pyrrha, Pyrrha Nikos. And yours?"
"Kuronox, Kuronox Aurelius-Kratos. His father suggested Mung Dal [a type of bean - typical Saiya-jin named after vegetables] but I went against it since it sounds a bit terrible. But I know he secretly calls him Mung. I was the one who named him with Mistralian origin.", Diana replied. "Mung? Like the vegetable? That's actually cute, but why?", Minerva asks. "Well, my water broke when Daichi was selling his batch of mung beans so he thought of that name.", Diana responded.
The two sisters continued their chat as part of their happy reunion.
-Continent of Anima: Arc Household-
Jeanne Arc, a woman of many things. A mother of seven daughters and two new sons, a fearsome nurse that placed braveness to inspire patients to heal and return revitalized. A dedicated housewife, protective of her children. But a dreadful beast when angered… full Mama Bear when anyone dared harm a hair on her children. She met her husband, Vergilius Bluehide Lorenzo Arc and his half-brother (from differing mother) Anthony Dante Redgrave Arc when she nursed them back to health after a Beowulf attack. When Tony [Short for Anthony] got a himself a wife, Serena Redgrave [she kept the last name of her husband's mother] it was good news for them as their family is expanding but… Both of them vanished when they underwent for their last mission.
Back to the Arcs, Jeanne is taking photos of her twin sons, Elijah Loewe and Jaune. Both of which are wearing their bunny onesie pajamas complete with a hood that had bunny ears and cotton ball tail. Virgil [short for Vergilius] just finished writing his poems and stories as a publisher and retired Huntsman [who still often goes for duties and mentorship in schools]. He entered the room with such deadpan look at his beloved wife. "You know, they are going to grow traumatized like that, right?", Virgil said. "What's wrong with a mother taking photos of her adorable baby boys?", Jeanne retorted. "Noting, but normal photos would much better. You might enjoy it but they might grow to dislike the memories of it.", Virgil said.
Jeanne pouted as she spoke, "Oh, but I just want to make these memories last. They aren't going to stay forever young. Eventually, they'll grow up, learn at school, get jobs or go on an adventure as Huntsmen, probably fall in love, hopefully have kids for me to spoil and grandchildren after!", then she took more photos as she quietly squealed in joy. "Why don't you go to the girls and read them one of your stories that you wrote while I take more pictures of my cutie-patooties?", Jeanne said. Virgil sighed in defeat as he adjusted his monocle, "This isn't going to their photo album. I just know it. They're going to rip it out and tear it to shreds. I just know it."
The blue clad husband walked out as he looked at the Arc family tree and his Katana blade. "Brother… where art thou? I wish you were here.", Virgil whispered as he walked towards his daughters room with a dejected look… as if he misses his brother.
But little does he know, this is a beginning of a new era. An era of return, era of revolution and absolution. A change and glory of light and hope from the shadows of fear and despair.

AN: And that's the first chapter of this new story that I'm working on. Sorry that it took so long to update. I got caught on with so much workload that I have to put stories in hiatus. "It can wait" as I told myself since I have to focus on my schoolwork since I have to plan for handling my students well. I have to cut this story here and have the next chapter [CH 2] be the semblance reveal portion. That includes weapons, attire/armor, growth/appearances, etc.
I've also neglected Bloody Roar Loud long enough so I might update that next. As well as my Helluva/Hazbin may Cry fanfic and other Loud House fanfics that I've ignored for so long. But it will have to wait longer since… I have work to do. This is just a hobby to pass time, I can't be in two places at once.
