"All right then, little fella! Now it's your turn."

"Thank you, you're so kind, Alfonso," the little silver robot puts aside the magazine he had been reading to pass the time. At the moment, Clank, the partner and best friend of Ratchet was in a special salon for bots like Him where he could come to clean up his robot parts. The owner of the store was also a robot, painted white, tall and thin, with two cheerful glowing optics for eyes. The little hero sat on the higher-backed chair and let the bot do the work. "So how's the hero life going? The other day you defeated the Nefarious from the other dimension," the cleaner started a conversation while he started brushing Clank's back, "Yes, we also had another adventure recently, and now we're back to living like we're retired."

"Well...some changes did happen though. Say, who's that cutie clinging on your friend," Alfonso grinned as the small robot on the chair opened its green optics wide, "That's Rivet, the lombax from the other dimension. I'll tell you, Alfonso. Ever since she got here, Ratchet's been acting like a love-struck teenager again."

"Oh I knew it," both bots began to laugh briefly before Clank continued, "We had to go back to her dimension so she could pack some stuff. Since the crack where Ratchet and I went through was about to close, she didn't have time to take anything with her. When that was done Rivet and Kit moved in with us here in Megapolis."

"Is Kit a lombax too?" asked his cleaner, who was polishing the antenna, "No, she's my counterpart, so she's a robot too. So as I said, and now both lombaxes are so much in love with each other. It's nice to see Ratchet so happy again, of course, but...also a little exhausting."

"Uh, are we gossiping here? Head a little to the side," mentioned the bigger robot.

"No, I just mean...", Clank tilted his head as if to say, and continued, "Those two are pretty stormy. Ratchet has shown Rivet almost every planet we've been to, I think. They go out every day to eat somewhere, party the night away, and flirt with each other a lot."

"That's just the magic of love," Alfonso continued to grin as he now began to clean Clank with a damp cloth, "Tell me more, my friend." Clank then had his eyes annoyed, because he thought of the one thing that made him the most furious about this stormy love his two friends have, "And sometimes I can't go to sleep mode at night in peace," the little bot added, briefly confusing the cleaner.

"What does that have to do with sleeping...ohhhh, now I understand. Oh my, hahaha."

"But..." the silver one of the two robots began again, "...I'm still happy about Ratchet being happy. He's even willing to retire completely for her, but since they're both more go-getters that's unlikely anyway. Ratchet really loves Rivet, and so does she him."

"Well, that's nice," continuing to drive his work forward, Alfonso decided to change the subject, "Tell me, Clank how did this quick appointment come to be?"

"Oh tomorrow I'm invited to a big science conference. They want to know how the Dimensionator works and the steps to repair it. The whole event will be hosted and commented by Captain Qwark," the bot chuckled briefly. Qwark and science are two things that don't really go together. However, he had done a good job hosting the celebration of Ratchet and Clanks parade, before the chaos began, "And that's why I want to look fancy again."

"Ah, gotcha" as the white robot was about to start drying he grinned again excitedly, "And...what do you think of this kit. You said she''s a robot too, and even almost like you."

"Uhh," if machines could blush, Clank already would have, "We...are just...friends. Ratchet and Rivet are the ones in love in the home..." "Who knows...okay and done, champ," the job was done, and Alfonso helped the little robot off the chair, already pulling out his bolts. Thanks to the hero discount, Clank didn't have to pay even half, and after a handshake, he left the robot salon again, "Why don't you come here with Kit next time, and I'll give her a free cleaning. Goodbye."

"I'll remember, bye," the silver one promised the owner and strode back towards home through the big city of Megapopolis.

The walk had not been long, and the building was directly in view. It was very large and only those with the most bolts could afford an apartment here. However, since Ratchet and Clank saved the galaxy, and that several times, they lived in the top and most expensive apartment, as a thank you for their services by the president. Clank pressed the button of the elevator, which quickly came down and let the little battle bot get in. The ride in it went only a few minutes until he arrived in the hallway where his apartment would be. With a card, he unlocked the door and stepped inside to the sweet home. Already at the entrance he saw his counterpart Kit in the living room, who was cleaning up the sofa from some stuff and also noticed the male robot, "Hello, Clank."

"Hello, Kit. What are you doing here in the living room," the silver one stepped forward, to which the yellow one gave a feigned eye roll, "I'm cleaning up the leftovers from last night's movie."

"Ah, rose petals," Clank picked up one of the petals before continuing his sentence, "The perfect decoration for watching Battlefield of Horror."

They both laughed in amusement in response, before Kit added, "I was all for a comedy movie!" Clank now continued to help the yellow one clean up the couch, which was still soiled by other things, like crumbs or empty bottles. "Rivet drank all the soda and ran to the bathroom after two minutes," the little yellow robot giggled again before the silver one finished the sentence, "And then missed the most important part." Renewed laughter followed from both of them and you slowly came to the end of cleaning up.

"Speaking of which, where are our love birds," Clank put away the glasses while Kit disposed of the mill, "On the road again. Where exactly , I'm afraid I don't know. Where have you been Clank, you look so clean and pretty." Kit then stepped forward and plucked at his red antenna again, which could have made the little battle bot redden again if he could, "Tomorrow I'll be in a conference hosted by Qwark."

"Oh the counterpart of Quantum? I've read his book Guys I told you I'm sorry. Surprisingly few misspellings," the two bots strode together toward the kitchen chairs where they sat down, "Yeah...Qwark wasn't always the hero he is now...but he's learned from his mistakes and finally taken the right path."

"Wow...against that, Quantum just wanted to be a pirate," Kit and Clank poured their oil in their glasses before the yellow one continued again, "But...I think Ratchet and Rivet are so cute together. I'm still glad to be here, even if I do miss Gary a little."

"Remember, we can always go back to visit if you want," Clank smiled at his counterpart, who did the same, "So...it's getting late and they'll be hungry when you get here. Will you help me cook something? Was also one of my hobbies I learned in retirement, hmhmhm." Kit agreed on that offer, and so both robots went to work contentedly at the stove, spending time together before the two lombaxes would be home again.

"I bet they're doing something very romantic right now, though."

Meanwhile…

"GO!"

"GO!"

"GO!"

It was a wild atmosphere. In a private bar owned by the goon 4 less, the bounty hunters were cheering on two opponents of an arm wrestling contest. Among the huge musclemen was the orange lombax, who was cheering on one of the competitors. In front of him on the table was the white lombax rebel, facing a very muscular goon, who challenged her to arm wrestle. This one was broader than his fellow goons and had even allowed Rivet to use the mechanical arm. The opponents were both sweating, as they had been in this pose for almost ten minutes and no winner had yet been decided.

Finally something happened, and it was the female lombax smashing her opponent's arm against the table, which was followed by a huge applause.

"YEAH, YOU ARE THE BEST," Ratchet came from the side and kissed several times against her cheek, whereupon Rivet wrapped her arm around his head. The hero had also arm wrestled once against one of the slightly less wide shark-like bounty hunters and won, but his girlfriend decided to grab the bull by the horns and challenged the strongest, and finally she had won.

"Oh man, I shouldn't have skipped the gym yesterday," the beaten opponent slapped both hands against his face, whereupon his buddy tapped him, "You shouldn't have done it, man." The two Lombaxes then made their way outside, saying goodbye, before being stopped by the boss, "Hey, man. It was really cool with you guys today. I'd like you to come here more often."

"I thought so, too. You guys are actually pretty cool when you're not trying to kill us," the orange lombax added, to which the goont held out his fist, "Man...you and your partner here got us out of jail, for that you're now on our NO HUNTING list. Thanks again!"

"No problem, see you next time," Rivet and Ratchet gave the shark-like one a fist bump, before they pulled away and listened to the big one's words, "And always don't forget to take your protein!" So the two loved ones walked back along the path to home, where the white rebel immediately kissed the cheek of the orange one as well and snuggled up to him again, "Wasn't that great just now, hotshot?"

"Yeah, you really showed him," Ratchet took Rivet closer to him while trying not to stray down the path, "In general...I found everything wonderful together with you so far."

"Me too...thank you for showing me your world," they both stopped. The orange one now put his hands on the cheeks of the rebel, who closed her arms around his neck and immediately wanted to share a heartfelt kiss.

Until suddenly both were jostled from the side.

"Hey, watch it," Ratchet called after the big guy in the grey vest, who showed no reaction to the lombax, "So rude...but that's just city life."

"Let's go home, and if you want, I'll punch that guy next time," Rivet joked, also making sure her counterpart laughed. The sun slowly lowered and the pair continued to stride toward home, finally ending the day.

They didn't notice the backward glance of the stranger, whose tiger snout was sticking out of his hood.

Once back in the apartment, both lombaxes smelled the smell of prepared food in the kitchen.

"You're finally here," Clank waved to the lovebirds who joined the two robots at the table, "Wow...thanks, pal."

"Hey, Rivet. Clank taught me how to cook, hihi," Kit sat down next to her best friend looking at the plate of pasta covered in sauce, "Not bad, Kit. Let's see how it tastes."

"Could be canned though...is it a cheap brand," at the joke not only the orange lombax himself laughed, but his best friend found it a bit funny as well, "Well next time you show me your cooking skills if you don't trust me."

"Next time, okay," the rest of the evening passed quietly. The four heroes ate dinner, watched some more TV together, where the two lombaxes snuggled tightly together again and before they knew it, it was already night.

"I'm going to sleep mode then, I have to get up early tomorrow," Clank got up from the couch before turning around quickly, "Kit...would you like to come with me tomorrow?"

"Me? Of course...I'd love to," flattered by the invitation she followed her silver counterpart and wished her partner goodnight again as well. "See you tomorrow Clank, see you tomorrow Kit," Ratchet yawned quickly and with his love also retreated to their bedroom. The two bots moved into the guest room so the two lombaxes could sleep in the main room. The hero got rid of his outfit so that he was standing there in just boxers, while Rivet put on just an undershirt to sleep in, leaving off her pants.

"Just a moment," the rebel then took off the prosthetic arm. Sometimes she slept with it and sometimes not. Today she decided to take it off and jumped right onto the soft mattress.

Ratchet finally joined her and gave her another hug. "Thank you Ratchet...again for everything...and for being there," Rivet loved her new life. Not only was she no longer alone and needed to run away from the emperor, but she found someone who loved her for who she is. The rebel didn't have to pretend and could be the one she was deep inside, without fearing to get laughed at. Ratchet felt the same way. He would never forget that day when she jumped through the dimensional rift and came to live with him. He thanked her a lot too, "Never forget that...I love you."

"I love you," a kiss followed from both of them and so they gently nestled together into sleep.
