Chapter 8. Visits

.

They both had their clothes soaked through and were incidentally getting the furniture wet, but little or nothing mattered; she was sitting straddling him as they kissed deeply, his hands were busy caressing her back, occasionally going over that round ass he loved. She sighed and moaned as she began to remove the top of his garment, which fell heavily somewhere in the room, and he wasn't far behind to do the same, watching her shiver a little as the garment disappeared and her skin came into contact with the cold air.

Grabbing her tightly by the hips he stood up, she wrapped her legs around his waist as he began to walk towards the bed.

He woke suddenly throwing a punch at the wall which shook momentarily as he saw the clock in the room; all indications were that he had slept just under 4 hours but he fully knew that he wouldn't be able to continue resting. He got up and dressed quickly, heading for the training field.

.

Those two months had passed a little slower than she would have liked, but certainly much faster than she expected.

The students who would be taking the exam had improved quite a bit with the advice she was able to offer on ninjutsu and taijutsu, and thanks to Haruo with purely demonstrative motives, she also had the opportunity to use a couple of basic weapon-summoning jutsu, and demonstrate her aim. She could have sworn that from that day the important tea ladies looked at her with a mixture of fear and respect.

After a hectic last few weeks before the trip where, she tended to feel short-tempered and exhausted. She couldn't help but wonder if the visit to the village was really for a week as judging by the amount of luggage it looked like they would be staying for about a year, minimum.

She remembered all her years as a kunoichi, all the missions in which she had to travel for days sometimes extending to weeks and in which her luggage consisted of a small backpack in which miraculously fit everything she needed. She smiled sadly thinking that she wished to go on her own to Konoha, jumping from tree to tree while feeling the wind on her face, but she knew that her request would be denied as soon as she made it, and would only earn her a scolding so she better chose to keep silent.

She watched for the umpteenth time through the window of the carriage as they entered the village, as if she expected things to change by that simple action, she thought that maybe meeting her old friends would help her to move forward but she was wrong, she missed them more than ever. Slowly they got off in front of the retinue that was waiting for them.

Neji, she thought holding his gaze for a short time before dodging it, he was in the retinue that would escort her visit to the village, and without a doubt the idea didn't entirely please her. She didn't know how to behave, in her husband's village she had learned to act in a certain way as no one ever knew her, but there in her native home, in front of her friends and the Hokage she felt unable to continue wearing the mask she was used to. She wanted to smile sincerely and run to hug everyone there, but she had to behave according to her rank now, she could probably stop saying Tsunade-sama as the blonde was no longer her leader, but she didn't feel an equal with her.

Her mind wandered slightly about taking advantage of being in the village again to disappear, and run away from her marriage with those white eyes fixed on her, but she knew she wouldn't be able to do it, and that when her husband said the visit was over she would unobjectionably follow him to return to her current home.

"You can't break down", she said to herself, looking up and facing those present. Neji's gaze seemed to tell her something quite similar, it almost seemed like he was pleading to her that it wasn't the time to break down, a mute promise of a better future for both of them even if it cost them, but it wasn't the time.

"Wow!" Toshio exclaimed next to her, breaking the silence, "It's a pleasure to see you again Tsunade, you still look as young as I remembered you."

"Toshio! it's a pleasure to see you again," Tsunade answered smiling, "I hope you enjoy your visit, I have arranged the best ninjas for your service," she made a slight gesture with her hand pointing to Neji, Shikamaru and Shino, "we will accompany you to your home so you can settle in, and if you like to clean yourselves a little before the dinner that was prepared in celebration of your wedding, I hope you don't mind that I have taken the audacity."

"Of course not, I'm sure Tenten will appreciate being able to share some time with her old friends, right dear?"

"Sure, Toshio-sama," she said in a tone little louder than a whisper.

Tsunade tried not to be affected by the coldness of Tenten's answer and slyly glanced sidelong at Neji evaluating his reaction, he just stared at nothing with an indecipherable expression.

"This way," the Hokage indicated, starting to walk.

She wanted to break away from the possessive grip that Toshio had on her, and straggle a little so she could talk to Shikamaru or Shino, but the way her husband was holding her was a threat so that she couldn't think of leaving his side, so resignedly she matched his pace and walked next to him.

Shino walked with Shikamaru behind them, while Neji went ahead leading them, Tsunade and Toshio were chattering about trade and the chunin exams that were about to start. She had to admit that she had only seen that house from afar and never imagined that she would be staying there. Although years ago she would have been dazzled by the size and luxury, she was so used to the level of her current home that in that sense nothing surprised her anymore.

What did surprise and almost annoy her was that her husband didn't wait until he was sure they were alone to seek some intimacy. 'Casually' he kissed her a little deeper than was appropriate, and put his hand on her butt before the last person left the place, which was no coincidence it was Neji. She could clearly see how even though his back was turned the Hyūga deviated his head and clenched his fists leaving the place slamming the door.

.

Yes, it was wrong what he did. He knew they could relieve him of the mission if a complaint was lodged with the Hokage, but he still couldn't help but slam that door. Bad-mannered! That word applied to both of them, to him for slamming the door, and to Toshio for that inappropriate kiss before he was sure he was alone with his wife. It was clear to him that the man was marking territory in front of him, just as on the wedding day when he had interrupted them while they were dancing. He exhaled heavily, heading over to where Shikamaru was standing who was beginning to explain to them the surveillance plan for the place. He cursed internally for requesting that mission.

He was in a bad mood and it was obvious, he could definitely tell that the Hokage was giving him absurd missions and unrelated to his new rank that were driving him out of his mind; he also had the feeling that something else was going on, Tsunade was hiding something from him, and wanted to send him out of the village but wouldn't give him the explanation. Although he had joined the ANBU and kept busy, he had gone to the training camp, exerting himself to the maximum until he was exhausted, the more tired he was the less likely he was to dream, lately his dreams had him disturbed.

It was then when he saw something strange: those in charge of remodeling and adapting the houses of the village were heading at full speed to the sector reserved for important visits. And he understood it, the reason why Tsunade now wanted him out of the village, Tenten and her husband were going to be in Konoha. Without even thinking about it, he went to the Hokage's office.

"I want to be present at the visit of the feudal's son and his wife to the village," were his words as soon as he entered.

"What are you talking about Neji?" Tsunade's voice had an undeniable tone of surprise.

"I know that they will be visiting the village, I can assume that for the chunin exams, so I will be present that day," his voice didn't give room for a reply.

Finally the blonde with an apprehensive look agreed.

Shikamaru's plan was simple, with a rotation of shifts to provide security 24 hours without neglecting the rest, that in the case that the visitors were in the house, for the fighting and when they were touring the village initially two of them would accompany them, but at the time they returned one would go ahead to check that everything was in order in the house.

.

The evening came faster than she would have liked; she was already perfectly dressed and arranged for the evening that awaited them, she looked at herself in the mirror once again remembering her wedding day, for it was a stranger who returned her gestures, in her hair again they had made a very elaborate hairstyle and a too overloaded makeup. She smiled in her usual way and headed for the exit where her husband was impatiently waiting for her.

"You look beautiful," was his greeting as he held out his arm for her to take it, and start walking out of there.

"Thank you very much, Toshio-sama," she replied, taking her place.

The walk was long, but Toshio for the first time since they got married was asking her questions, he pointed out places, asked what they were and she answered him. The village hadn't changed since she had left, on other routes he asked her where she lived before or in which direction the academy was. He asked her to tell him stories about her and so on, if she obviated the fact that she felt Neji watching the steps they took, it was a pleasant and nice talk, although she recognized that it seemed more like the conversation of a couple that is starting to date, than that of a married couple.
