Season 1: Episode 11
All four girls were still trying to make sense of things as they sat in the police station. They were all seated opposite one of the officers and had just finished telling their story, other officers had been dispatched to the farm while the officer with the girls observed them suspiciously.
"So...what exactly were you doing, going to that farm anyway?" He queried. "It's not exactly a typical hang out spot for you four?"
The girls shared a wary look, then finally Brody sighed.
"We received messages, telling us there were clues about Clementine there?"
"Clues?" The officer replied. "About a girl who died in a hit and run."
"Allegedly." Violet grumbled.
The officer frowned at that but continued.
"So it didn't strike you as suspicious, you didn't think of reporting it to us right away?"
Violet scoffed. "Why? So you can ignore it like you did Clem's death."
"Violet." Sarah hissed.
The officer glared. "Miss Adlon, that investigation is closed, it has already proven-"
"What investigation?" Violet interjected. "You didn't investigate anything, you just automatically decided it was hit and run and buried it."
"Violet, enough." Brody tried to warn her.
The officer shook his head angrily. "Miss Adlon-"
But then the door to the room opened, silencing him.
The girls turned and saw it was the police chief.
"Well, there was no sign of the man...but definitely signs he'd been there." He explained. "You girls need to be careful."
"Wait, he's still out there?" Becca gasped.
The chief nodded. "I'm afraid so. Anyway, this little talk needs to be wrapped up. There's someone here to talk to you girls."
Sharing a look they filed out while the chief began talked quietly to the officer. Confused and on edge the girls stepped out and were even more surprised to see Lily standing there.
"M-Miss Rapp?" Sarah gasped.
"Just Lily is fine." She replied, shaking her head before giving a wry smirk. "So, seems you girls had quite the adventure."
Becca tensed. "You...you know about that?"
"It's my job to know things...listen, let me take care of this, okay." She replied. "I can find things far more efficiently than the police."
Violet bit her lip, asking. "Including what really happened to Clementine?"
Lily paused, observing Violet closely. "What are you talking about Miss Adlon?"
"Violet, I don't think this is a good..." Brody began.
Violet was not to be dissuaded however. "The police didn't even bother to investigate Clem's death, something's not right, I know it."
"I think...you've been watching too much true crime, Miss Adlon." Lily remarked. "I am here to focus on real problems, like this strange individual who tried to attack you. Now excuse me, I must talk with the police, take this matter out of their hands and into mine."
"You can do that?" Sarah gasped. "Are you, some kind of special investigator?"
"Something like that."
With those final words Lily stepped past the girls and entered the office.
Once they were alone Brody rounded on Violet.
"Vi, seriously, what hell?"
Violet stepped back. "What?"
"I get it, you're upset, you want to find out the truth." Brody replied. "But you just go around attacking the police like that. It'll only end badly for you."
Violet scowled. "So we just let them lie to our face then."
"No we play it smart." Brody countered.
Sarah bit her lip. "She's right Vi."
"Seriously, we need to keep focused." Becca added. "Getting worked up won't help and neither will aggravating the police."
Violet glared and shook her head but said nothing else. At that point the door opened again and Lily stepped out with the chief.
"Alright, so it's a deal then." He said.
Lily nodded and turned to the girls. "I'll be taking it from here...but for now it's best you girls go home. After what you've been through.
Not even Violet argued that point and the chief nodded.
"We'll get officers to escort you home...just in case." He explained.
The girls understood what he meant and were nervous again. After all, that creep was still out there. So they left the station to be escorted home, wondering what to do next.

At school, once more dressed in their usual styles, which for Violet wasn't any different, the four girls were still concerned by their close encounter and its aftermath.
"Still don't get why that creep was after us...and luring us out there?" Becca wondered.
"It's worse than that." Violet pointed out. "He sent the letters directly to us, remember."
Becca's eyes widened. "Oh God you're right. He knows where we live."
"Oh that's bad." Sarah whispered. "I just hope Lily finds him soon."
"Yeah...or maybe our mysterious benefactor, the one who gave us all those warnings before will be able to do something." Brody suggested.
The girls shared a look at that, once more wondering about their mystery helper.
They then noticed Gabe, David, John and Minerva approaching and all smiled and welcomed them. Noting their expectant faces Gabe sighed.
"Sorry, I haven't been able to get those photos, teacher's been too busy trying to hook me into being the main photographer."
As he said the last part he gestured to a nearby poster announcing the arrival of the Homecoming dance soon.
"It's fine." Brody said. "We can wait."
"No sign of Sophie?" Sarah asked Minerva, noting the absence of the other redhead.
"Said she had stuff to do...probably won't see her till lunch." Minerva explained.
The others nodded and David gave a small smile.
"Heard you girls had a busy weekend."
That was all it took and they immediately began telling their story about the incident leaving all four of the others shocked.
Minerva was the first to react.
"That's crazy, you guys." She blurted out, looking mainly at Violet. "You guys went and put yourself in such danger, I mean..."
Violet shook her head. "We had to find out the truth, Minnie. No one else was going to."
"But the police-" Minerva interjected.
"Are useless." Violet countered. "They're just burying it and doing anything, so it's up to us now."
The others nodded and Minerva groaned, seeing it was a losing battle just as the bell rang and they had to hurry to their morning classes.

Smoothing down her skirt as she exited the classroom, Brody was lost in thought. Naturally she was dwelling on the mysteries that still hadn't been solved, but she had something else too. Namely the upcoming homecoming dance. Even as she thought of it she happened to glance up and notice Gabe. She felt it again, that strange feeling she got around him.
'I wonder if, am I really...?' She pondered then smiled. 'What the hell, nothing to lose right?'
She quickened her pace to catch up with him.
"Hey Gabe." She greeted as she caught up.
He turned his head and smiled. "Hi Brody, what's up?"
"I was just thinking about homecoming." She explained.
Gabe nodded. "Oh yeah, got any plans to get me out of being the main photographer?"
She laughed. "C'mon, you're great at photography, it'd be great. But um actually...I was wondering. Do you, wanna go with me?"
Gabe paused a moment, blushing lightly before replying. "You mean, together, to homecoming?"
She nodded and he smiled.
"Yes, I'd like that."
Brody smiled back, overjoyed he had agreed.

With lunch over Violet smiled as she began walking to the next class. She reflected just what had been revealed.
'Wow, so, Brody and Gabe took the plunge, going to homecoming together, Sarah said John asked her too and she said yes.' She mused. 'David and Becca will be coming too but they're not, well, they're just coming to be with their friends. But there's definitely something there between them.'
She continued to consider, realising her own chance here.
"Hey Minnie." She said quickly.
Minerva turned to face her. "Yeah?"
Violet did her best to hold her confidence, before it faltered. "Was just wondering, do you...wanna go to homecoming with me?"
"You mean...as a couple, finally open about who we are and..." Minerva gasped.
Violet nodded. "Yeah, so...what do you think?"
Minerva grinned. "I'd love to."
Both happy they turned the corner and stopped dead.
They stopped for there was Sophie, kissing a boy, which now now explained where she had been.
"Sophie?" Minnie gasped.
They parted, both smiling sheepishly, the boy was notably taller than Sophie at five foot eleven with tanned skin, short cut reddish-brown hair, olive green eyes and a normal albeit broad shouldered build, dressed rather casually.
"Um, hey Minnie." Sophie replied.
Minerva just raised an eyebrow at the boy while Violet watched with an amused smirk, it seemed even Sophie had someone to take to homecoming too.
"Well, this is my sister Minerva and this is Violet." Sophie said to boy before focusing on Minerva. "And this is my new boyfriend, Kyle Sherman."
