BEC Starship, Shinigami
While Ron people brings up the Goa'uld crates up aboard the Girty Lue-class battleship Shinigami which was space dock in a forgotten port known only to Ron and its original builders which he nicknames: The Sterling Bunker.
Ron know this place thru his father, and it was supposed to be the PLANTs rapid response bay to launch fighters and warships using the gravitational rotation of the colony to launch them and then retrieve them via another entrance. Ron rarely use the forgotten base most of which is go criminals that are wanted by the AF and are taking sanctuary or, intel gathering.
Afterwards, everyone got on board the Shinigami and launch as the colony was on the dark side. The force of the momentum moves the Shinigami as it activated its cloak just as they pass by Zaft security grid that's been augmented by Orb Union space forces on patrol.
When they were far enough, they activate their drive and heads for AF territory, meanwhile, Ron reported to president Hayes via subspace video communication, explaining of what they found but was not happy of Ron revealing himself to the people of Morgenroete or the fact that Blue Earth Corps can enter the Plants with impunity.
"Ron, you were supposed to find out what that Ha'tak was carrying and retrieve whatever it has inside it covertly, not reveal yourself to a whole lot of people like some teenager in a frilly outfit, declaring that she's the warrior for love and justice"
"Uh, Sir, I am pretty sure I wasn't wearing any Sailor Moon uniform or frilly skirt for that matter…that would be ridiculous" he said chuckling a little while sweating a bit
"The way you showed yourself, you might as well have been wearing a tutu while dancing in the music of Swan lake!" Hayes yelled, annoyed at Ron antics
"My God Ron, you are one of my best commanders of an elite covert ops team, the head of an anti-terrorist and counter intelligence team, you don't reveal yourself to anyone, let alone Jedi mind tricking some guy to kiss his best friend who is also a guy! What part of your job description you don't understand?!"
"I know sir, I know, but I doubt Morgenroete or Zaft will publicly reveal Blue Earth Corps involvement or any of what just happened"
"Well of course they won't reveal it to the public, not unless they want to commit political suicide with the situation they are on!" Hayes answered dryly
Like Hayes, Ron knows that Zaft and Morgenroete don't want the incident to go public. The news that terrorists, are running loose around the Plants, right after the Council and Zaft promised to the people of the Plants, that their colonies are secured and safe from any terrorist threat.
A bad press would be a blow they may never recover from.
"People are already edgy as it is, and I doubt that the Plants High Council wants to aggravate their already fragile position with the Plants population" said Hayes "Even so, it was reckless of you to do so, which I am very sure that I am going to get an earful from Lady Cagalli and Chairwoman Ezalia for our breach of their sovereign territory and facility"
Ron snorted at that "So let them complain to us about or teach us about breach of sovereign territory, we save their miserable ass more than once and if we haven't done it, then they wouldn't be complaining at all. Also, this is not the first time we stop terrorists blowing up the Plants and framing it on us!"
Unbeknownst to many, Ron BEC team have kept other acts of terrorism from happening across the world, some of which are acts that would put the blame on the AF due to planted or fabricated evidence as a means to misdirect investigators who at times, are too quick to blame the usual suspects, namely terrorists they believe to be back up by the Atlantic Federation.
"Be that as it may, it's still a violation and revealing yourself was a no, no. Therefore, I am going to have to reprimand you for this one Ron"
"Oh, come on sir" Ron whine like boy who is being grounded by his parents
At times Ron is serious, focus on the mission at hand like a professional soldier and then next moment, he does this…like this sometimes. Hayes starts seeing a familiarity to his subordinate, to a certain SG-1 Colonel that he knows and from stories and report he gets from General Hammond.
From what Hayes read and heard, the good General kept on drinking Maalox all the time for one reason or another, mostly its due to O'Neill being quite a handful sometimes.
Ron and Hayes argument went on for five minutes until Ron stop whining and conceded after the president threatened him to send his beloved Sensei to him, to have a long chat with him. Ron felt a cold shiver went right down on his spine when Hayes mentioned Ron sensei name.
Ron teacher or sensei, is a person he deeply respects, and probably the only person Ron is afraid of facing.
"We are a month away from the Avalon Summit Meeting Ron, and I need you to assist the Secret Service to beef up security in Hawaii and Avalon so that there will be no surprises. Do you understand me Ron?"
"Yes Sir" Ron answered Hayes nodded to him approvingly
"Good man, now if we are able to pull this one off, then we will have achieved two sets of goals in one stroke" Ron just at that for he knows what that meant
As President Hayes orders, Ron and his team to head for Pearl Harbor base in Honolulu right after the Shinigami transfer all the confiscated Naquadah and other contraband they have to an awaiting Daedalus-class ship heading for AC195 for the installation of new armaments. Afterwards, the Shinigami will head for Artemis to bolster security.
For a while, everything was peaceful and the time has come for SG-1 Major Carter and Teal'c are allowed to leave Earth and travel to the Ida Galaxy to make contact with the Asgard to aid O'Neill condition.
For the journey to Ida Galaxy, instead of using the Tel'tak, Carter ripped off O'Neill's modified Hyperdrive unit from the Tel'tak and installed it on a Daedalus-class ship fresh out of the ship. The BC 304 Phoenix.
SG-1 left Earth, with the exception of Doctor Daniel Jackson, who was ordered to stay behind to attend other matters at hand. The reason for this is, that a week from now, another Summit Meeting with the major leader of Earth will be held on Avalon cityship.
Avalon, the chosen location of the summit meeting, and an obvious display of power and intimidation to the other nations though unnecessary since, as they are already very intimidated.
Dr. Jackson presence was there to help Dr. Elizabeth Weir as part of the negotiation team, while Ron continue to do security works for the delegates safety and keep them from getting out of line, as one particular delegate member, who should never have been invited in the first place was allowed to participate, despite its negative history with the host nation.
CSA President, Robert Kinsey, have been demanding participation and trying to rally support from the other nations, resorting to every means at his disposal from cashing in favours to anyone who could get him in the summit. Eventually, Kinsey was finally allowed in but with certain rules and restrictions for him and his entourage to follow, and that he must follow it to the letter and that they will guarantee his safety as a leader of a nation.
Kinsey grudgingly accepted it.
When news of Kinsey participation went public, many of the world leaders across the world have voiced their concerns about Robert Kinsey presence, where it seems that he has very much burn out every goodwill he has with other nations recently as much as his associates the Trust. Now, ever since the Trust dirty business became widely known, members of the Trust have found themselves shut out by many governments and any associating with them have pretty much found themselves trying distance themselves from the Trust. The Trust of course, try to use every dirty trick in the book ranging from bribery to blackmail. But unfortunately, those kinds of tactics angered many in government, resulting to many members finding themselves looking down at the barrel of a 10mm gun to facing a battalion of swat teams and drag into the courts to face numerous criminal charges.

Upon the start of the meeting, Lady Cagalli Attha of the Orb Union was the first start the discussion, and it was about the great need to re-establish the United Nations Council, her answer for global cooperation and strengthening of ties and to find ways to finally end differences and old grudges peacefully without violence and a unifying force for Earth defense.
Kinsey gave a bit of a chuckle as Cagalli explains, that years after the demise of the first UN, the Earth saw the unprecedented rise of violence, war, discrimination and terror even in a time of peace along with numerous issues of concerns from the environment to the economy.
Cagalli admits that, re-establishing the UN Council is not an answer to everything, yet to her, she said "it is the right step to a new start for everyone"
She believes that it can the corner stone, of a new foundation that will bring about the rebuilding of peace and stability on their world, one that everyone desperately needs, as they are now facing a new era with uncertainty, where extra-terrestrials are real and that some of them are extremely hostile to humans.
Many agrees with her and immediately voted to signed the ratification of the new charter. Something that Kinsey was surprised to see the leaders of the other nations were quick and enthusiastic to make such a decision without consultation.
He never thought that they would take it seriously but disregarded it as folly. Even his intelligence network is saying that Cagalli proposal is not going anywhere.
"Something is not right here" Kinsey muttered to himself as he felt like he was being left out in the dark on something important.
With nearly every world leader raising a hand as a pledge of support to many of the proposals being presented, with the exception of the ones coming from the CSA leader, Robert Kinsey finds no support and even questioning them if they are even viable. One leader even suggested that they needed to review it first and consult their people before any decision is made.
In a brief recess, Kinsey quickly cornered the Republic of East Asia President and demand to know why so many proposals were being approved on the spot while his proposal has not a single support given.
The REA President answered his question with some delight.
For months after the battle for Earth, various diplomats and members of governments scholars, academics and others have been working on the many proposals, jointly working on the details in order to make sure that everyone will benefit fairly and equally. Lady Cagalli proposal of a restored UN Council was given more attention than most as it will be the new cornerstone of the new Security Council.
Kinsey never even heard of any work being done on any proposals been made and asks the Republic of East Asia President how something like this could be kept a secret. The REA president told him "Asks President Hayes about that" he said and quickly remove Kinsey hand griping his left arm.
Up a balcony overlooking the meeting room, Ron is keeping watch of Kinsey and reports to Henry Hayes of the situation while Hayes is with Cagalli and Chairman Joule
Ron taps his Bluetooth communicator and talk "Kinsey doesn't look like he's happy"
"Doesn't matter if he doesn't like it, it's over and done with" Hayes said back and then asked "What's the situation from the outside world?"
Ron smiled, like a shark looking at his dinner "It just got noisy an hour ago"
"I see" Hayes stop communicating and look to his fellow leaders "I guess, it is time for us to finish what we have started shall we?" Cagalli and Ezalia Joule nodded in agreement
Two weeks after the Battle for Earth
Now, ever since the end of the battle for Earth, President Henry Hayes went on to invite the more moderate (and not currently hostile to the AF) leaders in the world in secret, and this was done thru the AF ambassadors who visited each world leaders for a closed-door meeting. The ambassadors told them that, in one a specific time of day, they all must allocate some privacy time for themselves for at least a day. They explain, that they will have a private meeting with their AF President and… the how they will do it is something that made their blood grow cold at the idea.
When that specific time came, they were ready with two aides and two bodyguards waiting in a circle. In an instant, an Asgard beaming brought them onboard one of the orbiting new AF battleships and then beam down to Earth, to SGC at Cheyenne Mountain where they have gathered and together and led thru the Stargate to one of SGC offworld bases, namely Heliopolis.
Cagalli at that time, stood in awe around the Ancient Castle from another world and looking up to the night sky on the alien planet. The castle, rebuilt and reinforced thanks to the Army Corps of Engineer, and is now safe to inhabit and used as a forward operating base for SGC operations against the System Lords.
There the leaders openly discuss the future of Earth are gathered for a conference without any interruption.
In a two hour-long discussion, of Hayes asking them a question, 'of what path do you choose to follow' he told them and ads another 'would you choose a change for the better or staying put and we continue on breathing down on each other's necks like we always do?'
Hayes told them that "keep in mind, we are far from being the best of friends" he said, knowing that despite the continued peaceful relationships between them have been better over the years, the usual old grudges, rivalries and hostilities between nations that went on for centuries still continues to linger on, and in the shadows are the schemers waiting to play them like a puppet master. Waiting, at the right time to wish them harm and profit on it at the same time.
They know that, it isn't just the TRUST that Hayes is referring to. There are others in the shadows who continue to pursue such line of thought, but recently, many were brutally dealt with by the Atlantic Federation authorities and especially, by the Blue Earth Corp. The once, a feared part of the Blue Cosmos black ops, Phantom Pain now turned anti-terrorist and counter intelligence led by Ron a.k.a. the infamous Grimm Reaper where he goes after those who committed the most heinous crime against the AF (meaning, they are causing trouble) and by any chance they survive the Grimm Reaper, you'd still be charged and sentenced to life in prison (sometimes in offworld prisons) and where a few of them were given death sentences because they are too dangerous to live.
The other world governments are aware of this. Though they will deny it, many of them were given covert support to help them go against the Atlantic Federation, especially the more violent ones. Eventually, the politics and politicians change hands. Governments denounced them, and ended the covert support on separatists' groups and terrorists' factions of anti-AF, cutting all ties and connections and went as far as betraying them to the AF authorities.
Now, most of the nations on Earth pursue a more peaceful relation with the AF, which many are hopeful that it would be enough for them to be part of the future that is the Stargate.
Hayes, told them that allowing them participation is not that easy as several in the AF government is against their participation, as some has cited concerns mainly the safety and security of Earth. Others think that they will just cause trouble for the locals in the galaxy and that SGC will have to clean up and they take the blame later on.
They, have a thousand concerns as much as they have reasons not to allow them, as decades upon decades of history of strife among each other taught them that, trust and faith is a commodity that is short in supply in the world.
Because of this, a few wants the AF total isolation from the whole world, keep the Stargate for themselves and focus their attention in making new homes across the galaxy using the Stargate network as their means for Interplanetary colonization. The AF literally has the means to reach far off planets, which is something many nations with overpopulation, short in resources and other problems. They are hoping to get access.
The more radical and aggressive ones have some other ideas in mind… they like the idea of dominating the whole world by force of arms and subjugate all who oppose them and become one nation and then turn to the stars to become an interstellar empire.
Fortunately, those who were broaching such ideas were few and far between. Fortunately for everyone, they were shouted down for being idiots (that, or Ron grab hold of them by the ankle's, while dangling them upside down at the edge of the Sears Tower in Chicago, Illinois) as their ideas stinks with Logos handiwork written all over it, they became really unpopular very quick..
The moderate ones, sees all those suggestion and ideas as counterproductive and could hurt them in the long-term. So now, the AF and the leaders of the world are here to try and figure out a way to let the rest of the world participate without stepping on each other's toes or be in anyone under the heel.
It was then that Cagalli, stood up and suggested one for a start…to rebuild the United Nations.
Now this was nothing new, as Cagalli suggested this once before but the others frown of resurrecting the old organization. To everyone surprise, Hayes asks her to step up and explain why she thought it was a good idea.
Cagalli step up, and said the world needed stability and that the United Nation Council is that stability for Earth. Admittedly, she said that it needs to be much better than before with new goals, one that she hopes to be the best representative of Earth in the galactic community in the future.
Surprisingly Hayes thought of reviving the Earth Alliance… however, reviving the UN is much better options, to the amazement of the others. Many leaders ask why he's so supportive of this idea now. Hayes got comfortable in his seat, and let his chief negotiator Elizabeth Weir, explains the details of why they agree with Cagalli proposal.
Weir said to them, that soon enough, many civilizations across the galaxy will hear their stunning victory over Anubis and that they will be sending envoys to Earth to either open diplomatic relations, open trade or request assistance and even offering an alliance. What SGC is most concern about is that, not all of these alien governments will be coming to Earth with peaceful intentions, but with ill-intent much like the Goa'uld or worst, the Aschen.
This was a major concern for SGC, that a world like Earth still divided into nations states, fragmented in so many ways, is a world susceptible to being infiltrated by extra-terrestrials with ill-intent. Weir reminded them, that Djibril and Ba'al were Goa'uld and others of their ilk have infiltrated their world decades ago, taken human hosts and went on to build their power and dominate the Earth without the people even knowing.
They also revealed of attempted beachhead thru the Stargate, something that they narrowly avoided yet it won't be the last attempt.
To prevent these from happening again, they thought of re-establishing the Earth Alliance Forces as many in the AF government sees the greater need. Problem is, its past history is a huge stumbling block for them, and so the idea of resurrecting the EA was scrap in favour of Cagalli, and that's reviving UN.
Despite some reservations from the AF government, the United Nations Organizations could be seen by all, as the singular representative of the people of Earth if properly reintroduced to the public. The UN Security Council, the actual power in the organization will have its duties and authority expanded and they will be seen as the de facto representative body of all the nation on Earth.
Meaning, the UN will preside over all extra-terrestrial affairs, interstellar diplomacy and not just Earth matters.
Also, they needed to create their own military to safeguards to prevent and protect themselves from another alien infiltration and invasion, they need intelligence gathering, counterintelligence as well as law enforcements as lawlessness have been an all-time high due to the rampant proliferation of salvage alien weaponries being sold on the black market along with other exotic items found among alien wreckages of Anubis fleet.
There is a problem with this, and that is, no one seems too keen to have their soldiers and police volunteer to be part of the UN military, as none of them wants anyone other than their own to take command of their servicemen.
Weir understood their reluctance as the shadow of the Earth Alliance poisoned past looms over them. 'This is not going to work' was in Weir thoughts as this was not going to be an easy sell.
Weir continue to explain, that the UN must have its own military force, and it will follow the old duties of peacekeepers within all of Earth territories. Other duties will also be added, and expanded responsibilities, and whether or not they will also engage in offworld operations will be decided on how well the UNSC functions in the vast galaxy.
She stressed that its creation is greatly needed, as the political situation across the galaxy is in a state of flux and the threat of another alien attack is very much possible, but don't know when they will come to Earth is unknown, which is worrisome.
That got everyone attention and it got the world leaders worried because most of their military rebuilding or to be precise, their own spacefleet which is currently stalled due to many problems primarily, manpower. Training crew and personnel takes a lot of time and money and even now, they are cannibalizing their air force and naval fleet crew and their military personnel on Earth, retraining them to work on spaceship operations.
In public, critics are arguing of what's the use of rebuilding their fleet if they are no match against an alien force whose military and technological power is far greater than theirs?
The only nation with the capabilities to go toe to toe with an alien armada is the Atlantic Federation Star Forces, and it gnaw in their guts and pride that they are relying on that one nation that they both hated and envy. They tried other options, but unfortunately none of them is viable for their national defense.
For this and other reasons, several leaders had to decline, that they have no fleet to give or forces to have them volunteer, but they will however support the UN in some way but not militarily.
Weir understand their situation, and in light of this, the AF have decided to loan a sizeable portion of the AFSF fleet. And, when Weir meant sizeable, she meant over 90 percent of the SF ships. Not the old Earth Alliance ships being decommissioned, but the newest ships now under construction. A new line of ships for a UN fleet.
Surprisingly, Cagalli promise to volunteer her nations spacefleet when the time comes and admits that there will be some reluctance from her people, but she can convince them that this is a right choice.
Surprisingly still, the president of the Republic of East Asia also promises to volunteer their military forces, though they have no spacefleet at the moment, but what they do have is the biggest land army in the world and currently deployed in rebuilding their member nations infrastructure across all across East Asia.
Even more of a surprise, Plants Supreme Chairman appointee, Ezalia Joule would also like to volunteer Zaft if she can as a sign of goodwill. Of course, some Zaft hardliners will be against it, however, there are enough moderates in Zaft that will support the UN with some compromise if they can get away with it.
Other than the three, no one else volunteered.
Disappointed yet it's a bit expected, so Weir thank them, then continued on and told them that the UN military will be reorganized into a more flexible command structure…a United Nation Space Command or UNSC.
She told them that its structure will be more of a NATO formed command than an Earth Alliance one, and like the former NATO, the Security Council member state will be its permanent members and will shuffle their leadership among them, namely those who first volunteered.
Hayes, stood up and thanked Cagalli the REA president and Chairwoman Joule, for their support in this endeavour commending Orb, REA and the Plants volunteering their military willingly, which to Hayes view, is quite gutsy and a step forward to right the direction.
Then Hayes drops a bombshell, informing that to build the UNSC or to be precise, it's Starfleet, the AF has started mass production of new classes of ships for the UNSC. Starships to be precise, equip with advance technology to the AFSF high standards with advanced armoured hull, a new superluminal drive, teleporters rings and energy shields.
They plan make the first twelve combat ready fleet that can outfight Anubis upgraded motherships and defend Earth's expanded territorial space. That being said Hayes wanted them…to disband their fleet and have their crew and personnel, manned these new ships of the UN Starfleet.
Hayes pulled out an 8'in tablet from a table and showed the new ships, and just seeing the size and alone shows that these are monster ships that could dwarf any warships currently in service…all made to do one thing, to wage war.

Halberd-class destroyer
Charon-class light frigate
Gladius-class corvette
The backbone of the UNSC, the shield, sword and spearhead of humanity itself.
That said, Hayes watch in total amusement seeing the other world leader comically 'drop their jaw on the floor' like some cartoon character and even Cagalli was speechless of what Hayes just said and with a bit of apprehension. The idea of the AF letting them take command and have access to advance technology is a bit to believe since the AF guards their technological secrets jealously. What they would share are bits that wouldn't be much of a concern for them yet they profited greatly in the sales of many of them like, gravity plating for spaceships and space stations made prolong space tour made things bearable.
In the discussion, Cagalli suddenly asks "Are the ships, FTL capable Mr. President?"
Hayes answered her "Well, from what I remembered from Samantha Carter detailed report, superluminal drive is an FTL on its own, but its rather slow compared to a hyperdrive and unfortunately, there is a shortage of available hyperdrive at the moment. So, one maybe two will have one installed for the time being" and the reasons why not all of the ships are FTL capable for a few reasons. Hayes elaborated the reasons.
Hyperdrive, cost as much as five to ten billion AF dollars in research and development alone and that's not including improvements and production cost and the teaching and training of crew and engineers who maintains them on the ship.
Then, there are the rare materials that are hard to find, not to mention the highly complex refinement and manufacturing of the parts which takes time to make, assemble and calibrate to work properly.
This is especially important when your Hyperdrive is a first generation Asgard design, which is far more superior than the ones currently used by the Goa'uld System Lords…which has the tendency to fling you to the nearest wall when activated.
This makes their supply of Hyperdrive limited and only those of the most advance ships in the fleet has one installed, the rest of the fleet has either a salvaged, rebuilt, stolen or shanghaied from a Goa'uld motherships.
These were the official reasons which is partly true. Hayes never said the rest of it as not to offend. These are the issues
The AF is already taking a big chance in having ships full access to their ships. Trusting them with a hyperdrive capable starships is too much, as the likelihood of them getting themselves into trouble far out into deep space is high…which SGC has a monopoly in getting into trouble, especially SG-1.
They wanted them to earn their trust, just as SGC earned the trust of the Asgard which the Asgard gifted them with advance Asgard Technology despite being outdated yet superior to any Goa'uld Technology.
Then there is the usual, backyard reverse engineering which they are not about to let anyone dismantle one for them to make a BIY (Build it Yourself) FTL…which taught SGC that, a single mistake in construction, a flawed calculation or incompatible substitute materials to make a knockoff FTL would be like opening a black hole or a subspace tare in the fabric of space and time…which is something SGC has done, two to three dozen spectacular failed test and one offworld planet imploding on itself from a Hyperdrive malfunctions or accidentally creating a quantum singularity. (care of yours truly, Samantha Carter and Rodney Mackay).
After nearly four years of trial and error, they got a working human built hyperdrive.
Hayes then added more saying that they will be expanding Earth territorial claim by establishing human presence in star systems close to Sol, but all within a hundred lightyears from Earth, claiming planets that has a suitable atmosphere for humans to inhabit and can be reach by both Stargate and Superluminal travel. The farthest of these worlds will act as 'Sentinel Worlds' as a UNSC forward base protecting planets no less than five to ten lightyears from Earth are prospects for colonization, mainly for the UN member nations to colonize.
Hayes didn't go to the scientific details as it is not his forte, but he did pull out a tablet and activate a wide screen TV at the side and shows Samantha Carter video explanation on the new ships with the superluminal drives. A human invention based on the study of the reverse engineered of Goa'uld Death Glider propulsion system which turns out to be a form of gravity control thru a subspace field. Now, after researching the propulsion system of the Death Glider, they developed their version and with a few experiments, they successfully created what scientist called 'Alcubierre drive', which has an eerie similarity to Star Trek 2009 Warp drive but they won't call it that for obvious legal reasons.
It shows a ship with the drive that passes the speed of light in normal space is fast but unfortunately, it doesn't compare to the speed and range of what a Hyperdrive ship is capable of. Despite this, the Warp drive wasn't abandoned but be integrated to the new ships as a secondary propulsion system for short range travel.
Close by, Ron was on guard but listening in and watching everyone expressions of disbelief and asks many questions that Hayes and Weir gave their best to answer them while negotiating with them at the same time. All in all, it is the first sign of real progress for peace.
While this was going on, the big screens show the new spaceships for the new spacefleet…ships that are based on that alternate universe SGC dubbed 'Haloverse' or 'Halo Universe' from the Quantum Mirror that they found a while back. After a few years of tinkering, they learn how to use it properly, and sent recon teams to see what's alternate Earths and alternate futures are like and what they could learn from them.
Eventually, they started to covertly gathering things that could help them like, getting copies of histories and knowledge that diverge from theirs. The Haloverse is the most heavily visited universe, and there SGC gathered up samples of UNSC technology for study and at the same time, they left theirs in exchange like… a Mobile Suit, energy weapons and energy shields both human and alien designs as an exchange to help the UNSC fight against genocidal aliens called the Covenant.
Afterwards, SGC left the Haloverse and destroyed the Quantum Mirror connecting to their universe. A few years later, the UNSC have successfully beaten back a covenant battlegroup with the technology they shared, forcing the Covenant to go on the defensive.
Seeing alternate Earth gives one a perspective of the life they live and might live and see the consequences of so many decision made and mistakes made. This, help Hayes administration work successfully in saving the Atlantic Federation from falling apart and get it back up to its feet.
Now thanks to what they have learned, they focus on a goal to achieve a lasting peace that many have failed in achieving it, or held it together long enough to be enjoyed by everyone. Peace, is finally close at hand. As Henry Hayes goal in re-establishing the UN is the first part, of binding of every nation on Earth and the space colonies into one nation. One that will make sure that no nation, rogue or otherwise will try anything like, welcoming a System Lord to their nation alone and establish a backdoor inroad to Earth.
From the start Ron has sensed their apprehension, doubts and fear from the leaders at first, but it soon changes as Hayes is willing to make things work if they reciprocate and do the same as well. Still, everyone knows that Hayes will not agree on some of their demands, and should they agree on some of his, the Atlantic Federation will take the lead role in the UN but not so much that they can't oppose them.
They know, that if they can't agree on anything now, then they will go back home empty handed and watch the AF go on without them to the greater galaxy thru the Stargate…leaving them behind or blocking them.
And so, they hash out agreements and concessions that are satisfactory to everyone before they put their full support to the UN. Once this is announced, the whole planet will be a beehive of activities from commerce, industry, transportation and others who wants to be part of an enormous endeavour.
Many people, will be wanting to participate in the actual colonization of the star themselves and the open trade, business and diplomatic relations with real aliens on alien worlds, both allied and non-allied worlds that are friendly.
Hearing the words like 'colonization of the stars' left the REA president felt dizzy and at the same time, elated at the prospect of establishing a colony planet for his people to settle, is something his overpopulated nations of over five billion desperately needed, and that's more living spaces.
Projects to build new colony ships with superluminal drive (Warp Drive) is being offered and with the sharing of knowledge, the new ships can get to these new colony worlds in less than a year or to within months which depends on how far.
Once a settlement is established, they can bring more people in, sometimes via Stargate, the same way the AF have been doing all these years without the world knowing about it.
Cagalli on the other hand, is thinking about the massive orbital rings.
The AF announced territorial claim and investigators from SGC has not completed their findings yet. However, Cagalli saw reports from Orb Navy long range observation group, that the Star Forces is setting up a base in an abandon city and already bringing more people in while inspecting a massive shipyard and several hundred parked ships nearby.
She suspects that the SF found out how to operate the alien shipyard and they are going to use it to build new starships, which is probably where they are building the new fleet for the UNSC. The orbital rings are a subject Hayes ask them to set aside for now and that include the Stargate, but he promises answers after they establish the UN.
Weeks after the first meeting, Diplomats, Legislature, Judicial, Academics, Scholars and Military do the follow-on meeting. They discuss plans for times of crisis and emergencies the member nations will be called upon and must comply with all of their Air, Ground and Naval forces for national defense.
A coordinated defense is important because their last battle despite their victory has cost them dearly.
Continuing on, the defunct INTERPOL will be re-established to fight international crime as well as the International Court of Justice and many organizations connected to the UN especially UNESCO and UNICEF will return, for its importance is a priority as many countries is in need of their service in many parts of the world is still devastated from as far back as the first Valentine War.
More secret meetings with world leaders followed, they talk about the UN but some wanted to talk about the Stargate future role, yet strangely enough they all agreed that it was the right thing to do to let the SGC keep it, as many of them are not sure if they can handle such a responsibility themselves.
Many imagine, that there is going to be a lot of political squabbling and legal issues of who will lead and who will follow. An endless bickering that could go on for months maybe years with no progress, which left the Stargate lays idle.
Meanwhile dangerous alien powers across the galaxy are waiting patiently at their doorstep preparing to invade the Sol System.
And so, after months of hard work, the final charter draft was made and the leaders across the Earth and the Space Colonies shake hands and made the decision of moving forward together.
Cagalli UN restoration plan is fully supported.
Cagalli felt elated that one of her dreams have come into fruition, however, she finds the UN charter along with all the proposed protocols, rules and regulations and more…looks strangely like it came out of a popular science fiction genre from a hundred years ago.
One of these proposals Cagalli noticed, is a manual for 'First Contact Protocols' as well as 'The Prime Directives' Cagalli suspected that some of them might be a Star Trek nerd that got inspiration or most likely plagiarized the genre of some of what's written and added some of their own.
How the world is going to this is unknown.
Months later
Avalon, where the Summit meeting is held is just a formality of an already decided outcome. For Hayes believe that a restored UN could keep the Earth Sol System peaceful and stable. A necessity, now that they find themselves at the centre stage of galactic history.
To say that Kinsey was angry is like saying the sun was hot, as the outcome of this meeting have been already been decided before he even step on the city. Literally, he was in the dark. Left out of everything that's been decided and practically being mocked by his peers and went as far as feeling humiliated like he's not recognized as a world leader.
Kinsey, interrupted Cagalli who was talking at the second part of the meeting, but was shot down by Hayes himself.
"Robert, SHUT UP!" Hayes shouted "you will have your turn to speak but until then you are to stay quiet and not interrupt!"
"You can't tell me to shut me up!" Kinsey shot back "I am the President of the CSA and I have a right to be here, I have the right to be heard and speak out against this scam!"
"Scam?"
"Yes SCAM, you have already decided this UN crap without consultation with the other leaders, without me!"
"No, just you Robert" Hayes told him flatly "Everyone here has been consulted, which went on for months"
"What?"
"Everyone here represents the major powers of this world, the PLANTS included and they have been closely been involved and have contributed in the reformation of the United Nation" Hayes said gesturing to everyone present
"Every nation here, Well, WE ARE HERE to sign it into reality, while you are here, out of courtesy"
"C-courtesy?!"
Kinsey, look at everyone and he can read it in their faces that what Hayes say is true. He was livid inside as he has not heard a single word, an intel or even a rumour that they are serious in resurrecting the UN.
"Y-you, all of you!" he pointed at everyone, hand shaking in anger "You are all in on this?"
"From the very beginning" Cagalli answered him savouring at the man displeasure of being left in the dark while feeling a bit sorry for him.
Seething of anger of being left out, Kinsey look at the copy of the UN charter where everyone signed it except for him as he abstained and asks to give him some time to read it. But now… he rips it apart
"I will not sign this!"
"Well then, don't sign it, not like we expect you to, Robert" said Hayes
"That's President Robert Kinsey to you!" Kinsey shot back
"Well, you were president of a country, but that was two hours ago"
"What?'
Hayes pause for a moment as General Maynard, walk towards Hayes side and whispered to his ear.
"Is this confirmed?"
"Yes sir, it's all over the news now" Maynard replied with a smirk aimed at Kinsey at the news he just delivered
"Put it on the Monitor!"
A holoprojector was activated and it showed several news broadcasts of a revolt on the CSA capital, Ontario.
"No…it can't be" Kinsey, couldn't believe what he was seeing on the monitor.
On screens shows CSA soldiers of his nation's army is storming his capital, seizing government buildings led by former government officials he personally relieved of duty after he formed the CSA and place his own people loyal only to him as lackeys.
Across the country, citizens in the hundred thousand and swelling to millions are on the streets cheering. Millions of people, who are sick and tired of Kinsey mishandling and mismanagement of their country are cheering the soldiers on as they take away his lackeys in handcuffs and the flag of the Atlantic Federation is raised up while the CSA flag is removed and thrown into a bonfire of his portraits and effigy's.
Ron appeared behind Kinsey like he was a ghost, was laughing at the sight "Well, it looks like you are out of the job butthead!" he remarks and then grab Kinsey at the back of the neck with a vice grip and then force him down on the table. Then he looks towards Hayes eagerly
"Can I book him now boss?" Ron asks and Hayes smile thinking that 'It has been a nice day and got a whole lot better' he thought and then look at Kinsey
"Robert, you do know that…the Atlantic Federation never officially recognized you or the CSA, don't you? Meaning, you are under arrest for insurrection, and that's a penalty of death"
"You, you set me up! You got me here so that-"
"This was bound to happen, Robert" Hayes cut him off "Whether you are here or over there Robert it wouldn't matter. We just help speed it up" Hayes look towards Ron
"Now, you can arrest him Ron"
"You can't arrest me!" Robert yelled back as he struggled from Ron grip "You guaranteed my safety, you gave me your word!"
"That's true, I personally guaranteed your safety, so long as you are a representative of a nation" Hayes answered agreeingly
"However, your country ceases to exist so that means, whatever guarantee or promise I made as President of the Atlantic Federation… is considered null and void, and you sir, are under arrest for insurrection" Hayes answered with a sense of satisfaction.
'Two sets of goals' Hayes thought 'Keep what we have gained and taking back what was lost…achieved in one stroke'
Kinsey and members of his entourage surrendered peacefully to AF Secret Service agents and are taken away. He looks to the other leaders silently pleading 'Help Me!' but found stoic looks and even looks relief to see him finally go.
"You can Book him now Dano!" Hayes ordered using words from an old Hawaiian police drama series
"Gladly sir!" Ron quickly grab Kinsey right arm and twist it back "Robert Kinsey, you are under arrest for acts of secession and insurrection against the Atlantic Federation and a number of other crappy things you made which you are accountable for!"
Ron gave Kinsey the boot out of the room and giving Hayes a thumbs up as he leaves and let the other leaders to finally have a civilized meeting.
"Now that bit of distraction is out of the way, we can continue this meeting, Lady Cagalli, you may continue"
"Thank You, Mr. President" Cagalli acknowledge him and went on open new subjects for discussions.
