Chapter 9: Nothing but Trouble
"You don't think that I went a bit too far with telling Naruto not to help Angel, did I Vaggie?" Asked Charlie as she was currently brushing her hair in front of their room's person size mirror, while in her white silk nightgown,
"Look, while we both don't like the idea that Angel is under the reigns of a violent pimp we both know what would happen if we dare to step up against him, especially with his other friends" Vaggie said as she was currently in bed, while surfing through the channels, all while laying down in bed in her own nightgown that was a purple color instead of white.
"But it still doesn't make it right in what could happen if something does end up happening to him" She told her girlfriend."Because the chances of Angel being seriously hurt, or even possibly killed is alway on my mind"
"And I've told you before to clear your head from such thoughts" She responded back."Because the last thing you want is to be set up for heartbreak if something does end up happening"
"No, why do you have to say it like that?" Starting feel sad about something happening to the white spider."Is bad enough that we've yet to have a major breakthrough with him to really help, but having to return each day to such a toxic environment makes it hard for that to happen"
"Don't forget that when we first brought Angel here we told him what we hope to expect of him, while living under our roof, but the only thing we got in return was his constant belligerent attitude despite the many opportunities we gave him to help fix his habits.
"Maybe we just didn't try hard enough to install that into him for it to take effect" Charlie said as she turned to stare back at Vaggie."That could be the reason why Angel hasn't taken his rehab to heart"
"Charlie, we have done nothing but try to help Angel every step of the way since we open and since the moment we accepted to pick him as our first client ever since we picked him up from the side of corner turning tricks out for local johns"
"Don't you think that maybe the reason why he hadn't responded to our treatment was because we were going at it the wrong way"
"How so?" Wondering where Charles was heading with this.
"Well, there's taking into consideration that Naruto has a major effect on Angel whenever he's near him, and how he's been a great help in having Angel show up to more to the meetings this entire past month then the ones that came before it"
"That's because Angel only wants to get inside pants" Stating obvious in what the spider really wants with the whiskered blond.
"I think it goes beyond mere infauction?"
"Trust me when I say that I've got him starting at the bulge in Naruto's pants when he wasn't looking"
"Be it the case" Having a reddish hue build up on her cheeks."You can't deny that Naruto's presence makes Angel feel more relax and more likely to open up about himself"

"That's why I think that we should use a more positive language instead of using the type of words that may make others feel bad"

"Well…..not to that extent, but more on the likes of being a bit more considerate in the words you use" Said the princess as she was currently sitting next to Vaggie on of the many foldable tin chairs that were aligned together in an inner circle with Angel sitting on the opposite end of the circle."But more around the likes of speaking in a manner that won't offend the ears as much"
"Really?" Leaning back on his seat with a laid back grin."What's wrong with the way I speak?"
"You know where we're getting at"Told Vaggie with her arms crossed."Every time you open your mouth it makes it hard for people not to shut it tight"
"Talk about promoting violence aren't yeah Vags?" Grind widening a bit at the irritated expression on the moth's face."Maybe you should be the one that follows your own bullshit instead of harking it at me"
"Now Angel, just think about it for a moment and see how it can be beneficial for your character to use a more correct vocab when talking with others"
"Why the hell should I change the person that am I am for the sake of others, when am happy just the way that I am"
"But doncha think that the way you compose yourself may come off as a bit too strong that may end up alienating other people away" Said Charlie.
"Too strong?" Angel repeated with a narrowed expression."Hey whiskers, do you think that I come off too "strong" with the way I speak?"
Said blond was at the nearby crafts table on the side of the wall getting a plate of stale doughnuts while holding a foam cup half filled with day-old coffee.
"A little bit"He replied back with a mouthful, while wiping some of the crumbs off with a clean napkin.
"See, not that much"Aiming his hands at him with a gesture as if justifying his actions, before staring back at the human."Get me a cup on your way back"
"You want some creamer on it?"
"Just two drops"Holding two fingers up and ignoring the annoyance on Vaggie's face continuing to grow that grew a tad more once Angel turned around to look back at the two."What were we talking about again?"
"Your communication skills" Said Charlie as she placed a hand on her girlfriend's shoulder as an attempt to calm her down before she could blow a fuse this early into the meeting."All were asking is that you change your tune in expressing yourself in a more positive outlook instead of always resorting to such crude language"
"Look I just to don't what the big whoop is"Looking bore again at having to talk about that."Don't matter to me what others may think about the way I speak, and if they have a problem with it then they can go find some other asshole to hand out with"
The spider scooted himself from his chair as Naruto walked in and sat next to Angel with two cups of recently brewed coffee on his left hand and on the other a plate of glazed doughnut holes.
"Here you go"Handing Angel the cup.
"Thanks" Taking the cup in his own hand and having a small sip from it as he once more positioned himself back on his seat with his right leg crossed over the left one.
Naruto on his part just took to enjoying the pastries made available to him and smiled in complete content as the sweet taste of the sugar frosting going down his gullet.
"I'm glad your enjoying yourself with the food foxy, but can you please knock some of sense into that thick headed aranja friend of yours" Said the one-eyed month."Because by the looks of its he seems immune to common sense"
"Up yours bender"
"Back at yeah, you coked up porn star reject!"
"Reject!"
"Porn Star?"Asked the blond with a puzzled face as he looked at Vaggie over what she said, but before he could follow-up on what she meant by that he was beaten to the punch by Charlie.
"Please both you, show some of discretion" Said the devil princess with her hands held out."This is a safe room not a war room to fight in"
"Am not just gonna sit here and be belittled by a jump start tard who can't even keep her head leveled without blowing a blood vessel every time she gets mad-"
"You're the only one that gets me this mad!"
"See what i'm saying!" Aiming both of his lower arms to point at the seething sinner."At this point it feels as if she gets her kicks in being this angry at me"
"Look how about we all take in a couple of deep breaths in and just have a moment of silence to calm the nerves down"Offered up Charlie as she placed a hand on Vaggie's back and smoothly rubbed it up and down in an attempt to keep her grounded"
By the looks of it the back rub was doing its job in keeping her girlfriend from jumping up from her chair and throttling Angel.
"I think that's a good idea, we should try that if we want to get the ball rolling again and get those proactive talks up and running once more" Offered the other blond on the opposite side."It won't do us any good if this therapy group turns into a shouting match"
"Tell that to her not me"Angel replied back still staring down the moth who likewise did the same in total contempt."Is bad enough that I have to agree to come to this meetings in the first place, and sit through an hour of this crap being spewed at me"Placing the cup of coffee on the open seat next to him."But having her on my case like this only making me want to bolt the hell out of this room"
"Please don't" Said Naruto as also did the same with his cup and plate on the seat on his end."Resorting to anger is just an easy cop out to use when things get tough and only leads to further problems if you let it overcome you like this"

"Only because you were too reluctant to comply to an easy instruction"

"Am on no one sides, only in the side of lending a helping hand"
"You should really pay attention to what he says, Angel you can probably learn something. Though I doubt you would."
"And you Vaggie" Turning to the one-eye helper.
"What?"Surprise in having to hear her name called out."What about me?"
"You're also at fault for not keeping yourself more composed when talking to your patients"Arms crossed as he continued with his speech."As a person in charge with handling patients problems you need to be more lax and more accepting if they start to be combative to your instructions. If your too forceful with your words than it puts them on the defensive that hinders any process that you want to them to have"
"How can I do that if said patient,"Pointing at Angel."Is not willing to commit to our program, but instead chooses to take advantage of our help even with all the chances that we've given him"
"Am not saying that what Angel has done is okay, and I can see that it may be asking too much from someone that takes advantage of others gratitude, but don't forget what your trying to establish here at the Happy Hotel is to ask people to change their entire lives in a complete turnaround"

"So don't be surprise if someone as the likes such as Angel walks through those front doors asking for help, because there's bound to be someone whose in a worse off state than the one you're already working on" Before changing his tune to a more somber one."And am not saying all of these to put the both of you down, but you need to understand that asking to fix someone's personal demons is not easy task that can me mended by being too forceful"
"Then how would you go about it?" Asked Charlie who kept silent at this point and now leaned forward with her hands clenched together as her gaze looked at him with deep concentration.
Something that was shared as well as by Vaggie, and Angel who looked from the human's side with a curious expression."How much different would you approach Angel's recovery if you were in our shoes?"
"Would you mind if I can take over the session for a bit?"
"No, not at all"Shaking her head at the proposition."Feel free to try"
"Thanks"Smiling at the greenlight given, and then turning to stare at the pink-striped spider"Angel, can you do me a favor?"
"Depends on what it is" Looking at Naruto now with a perplexed look in what he had in mind."Is it something sexual because I'll be down with if it is" Sending him a smolder look with a wink.
"No! No!" Waving his hands in the air in a frantic motion."Nothing like that just a simple favor….um can you sit on one of the chairs in front me so that we can both stand in front of each other"
"...Okay" Slowly getting up and moving to the other side that had Charlie move from her own chair for Angel to sit on, while at the same time giving Vaggie a quick stink eye look with a flipped finger with his lower hand that wasn't scene by Naruto, or Charlie but clearly spotted by the moth whose eye twitched in how childish he was being."Now what?
"Now what I want you to do is just something really simple, and I hope is not too much to be asking of you" Leaning in a bit on his chair."I want you to just focus on me sole, don't look anywhere else other than me, can you do that for me?"
"Sure, why not" The spider replied back as he also did the same while leaning in a bit."Now what?"
"Okay, good now what I want to you ask is just one simple question, do you think I can ask you this without any sort of issue"The blond asked of him with his hands held together in a firm grip.
"I don't see why not" Still not sure where did was heading, but when along with nonetheless to see where this was going."Fire away with what you got in mind"
Seeing as the go ahead, Naruto took a calm breath with close eyes and gently exhales, before open them with a clear determination as he looked directly into Angel's eyes.
"What is your name?"
"Come on, Foxy you already know that by now"Chuckling a little at the question asked."Its Angel Dust"
"No, what I asked is what is your real name?"
"..."
"Angel?" The male blond called out."Can you please tell me yo-"
"I heard you the first time foxy"Was the cutoff reply that lacked the once playfulness that was typically used when talking with the shinobi."You don't have to keep on repeating yourself like a broken record"
"So is that a yes on the question"
"No, Its not"
"Is there a reason why you don't want to tell me what your name is?"
"Because that is up to me to know and no one else to find out"Falling back on the foldable chair with a resounding thud, clearly indicating his stance on the issue."The less people know it the better"
"Is there any reason as to why you don't want people to know what your real name is?"
"Is personal"He said with a tone that left no room to argue with.
"You know my name"The blond pointed out."You also know Charlie's, Vagatha, and even Alastor, why would not saying yours be any different"

"Typical"Muttered Vaggie under her breath as she tapped the sole of her left foot impatiently at the response.
"What was that princess?"Called out Angel."You could speak up because I didn't hear you right"

"Please, can the two of you not butt heads again" Added Naruto with a raised hand."And Vaggie can you please not agitate Angel anymore"
"Sorry" She huffed out.

"Fine, if you don't want to ask me what your name is then how about we do this this instead" Taking back his attention from Vaggie to his."My name is Naruto Uzumaki,am twenty-four years old, and my likes are pulling pranks on people, ramen, protecting my friends, hard work, and one day wishing for a world where people could be free and live how they choose and help those that can't fend for themselves from those who wish to them harm"Continuing with his speech as the three of his audiences looked on with wide eyes in front of him."My dislikes are for the most part people with bad intentions, those who don't owe up to their word (cue wince from Angel), and not being able to help those close to me"

Seeing that the option of getting up and just leaving would even be in bad taste even for him, especially with everything the blond just cuffed up, he looked to both sides of him to see how Charlie, and Vags seemed to react to this.
The most he caught was a nonchalant shrug from Vaggie as if indicating she didn't care what he chose, while Charlie's gesture was more of a humble one as he could see her head point towards Naruto as if telling him to not be shy to speak up.
"My name is Angel…Dust, and am..am"Pondering his head for a moment."Whoa, guess am as old as dirt here, can't seem to remember how old am currently am"
"What about the date of your birth, and expiration?"Offered Charlie."We can come up with a number from there"
"I was born on 7th of June, and I think I was about twenty-five when I died"
"What about where you died?"
"Oh, it was at this run down hospice on 47th Ave in NY."Remembering now where he expired in."I remember it because of the shit food and bedding they provided"
"Did you die of sickness?"Said Naruto.
"Well, not the type of sickness your thinking of"
"How so?"
"I was admitted by some of the local boys in blue after finding me passed out with a needle sticking outta of my arm, and dumped at a nearby shelter where I eventually went cold turkey in"
"Anything else that you may remember?"The human said with a relaxing tone."What about this place you were referring to,...um New York? Was there anything that can pinpoint the year that you died"
"What I could remember of the year was that there was this major outbreak of a disease, blanking on the name of what it was, that kinda had the city under quarantine in some parts of it"
"Was it smallpox?"Said Vaggie on his side with her phone taken out showing the article of the event.
"Bingo!"Snapping his finger at that."It was really bad time to go to NY that year"
"When did the outbreak happen?" Called out Charlie.
"It happened in 1947"
"Whoa, hearing that makes me feel even older now"
"Good, now that we have the date, and your age is now simple to put the numbers together to determine your real age"
"Just be gentle with the number of whiskers, I don't know if I can take the shock in hearing out how old I am" Angel playfully added.
"Okay, you were twenty-five when you died in 1947, so subtract the year with your age, then you were born in 1922, and the year we are currently in is…."

"Thanks, Vaggie. This would put you up to be around ninety-nine years old"
"Damm….Then I guess I'll be making some big plans to celebrate my centennial birthday come this new year"Still wrapping his head in how long he's been in Hell.

"Are you ready now to start again?" He asked Angel with a smile.
"Better time than ever I guess"Taking a calming breath in,before exhaling out."My name is Angel Dust, and I am ninety-nine years old, and my likes are…"
"Since the moment Naruto arrived here he has done nothing, but shown his willingness to help around even when he didn't have to, and for the both us that was a breath of fresh air in having someone other than the two of us work to get this rehab off the ground"
"Look, am not trying to say that am not appreciative of what Naruto has done for us, but don't go forgetting that his still a liability waiting to happen if someone from the outside finds outside that were sheltering him here" Trying to make Charlie see the bigger picture."Because if my chance someone does spot him out than everything we've done so far will be rendered mute"
"And like I've told you before that's not gonna happen because Naruto as assurance us that he'll be careful"
"Really, then how is he gonna stay hidden when we start to get guests?" Not really believing that the blond would be able to stay incognito."He can't just stay inside his room all the time without someone noticing a human in the hotel"
"Well, don't forget that he's not your typical human, and what he showed us in what he could do the first day he got here helps to lessen the chances of being figured out"
"Yeah, but he also said that he can't always use too much of…um what was it that he called it again?"

"Yeah, chak-ra" Saying the word slowly to not mispronounce it."That still doesn't confide in much confidence in me as having to rely on his bag of tricks to avoid detection"
"He said that he was working on a more suitable means of making sure that he wouldn't get caught"
"With what those illusions of his?" Still not sold.
"I think Naruto referred to them as hedges if I remember correctly"
"Whatever they're called, I still don't i'll be enough"
"Don't you think you're overreacting a bit too much over it"
"Am only thinking about the chances of someone other than the staff coming across whiskers wandering the hallways and they reacting in a negative light"
"I doubt that Naruto will just leave himself that expose, when he clearly knows what's at stake if he's ever found out"
"Babe, I love you, and all even with all this optimist that you have about everything, but don't you think you're giving Naruto a bit too much credit in how you'll think he'll react in being exposed"
"And I don't regret saying that with a straight face as I believe wholeheartedly that Naruto can take care of himself" Charlie responded back to Vagatha as she herself got herself tucked in onto the covers of the bed."Don't forget in the type of energy Naruto unleashed when he heard who hurt Angel"
"How could I forget"Shivering in remembering the intense expression that the ninja had when hearing what Valentino did that was accompanied by a sheer force of power unleashed that overwhelmed both women given how close they were in proximity to the human."It almost felt as if I was about pass out"
"That type of outburst of energy is something that I've only ever seen an overlord, or an upper class demon carry with them"
"How does it stack up against yours?"
"Am no pushover when it comes to throwing around my weight if needed"Holding out her arm in a mock flex of her that got a small smile from Vaggie."Though I can't claim to have ever fought up in space, even less than the moon itself….." Trailing off at the thought of being off planet in an epic battle in how the shinobi described it.
"So do you think that he may actually be able to hold his own against the likes as someone like Valentino?"
"I really don't want to think about the two ever coming to blows with each other"Terrified at the prospect of Naruto being hurt by someone as cruel as the porn mongol and his cronies."Having to just think about a scenario of Naruto fighting Valentino makes me shudder just thinking about it"
"But do you actually believe that Naruto may stand a chance of fighting an overlord and coming out with a win?" Asked Vaggie once more this time with a more straight lace to her tone.
"I can't say that at the moment, but seeing what Naruto has brewing inside of him plus with his background as a fighter I don't see how he would not come out from such a confrontation still on his feet" Charlie responded back, though her voice was left up in the air if she truly believed in what was said.
"Well, if they do here's hoping for that knucklehead to tear that whore-monger a new asshole"
"Please don't say that"Thinking if something like that ended up happening."If you said then is bound to happen"
"Sweetie, now your just being superstitious"Not really believing of Naruto being reckless in his actions of taking up arms against an overlord."He may have reacted a little strong about one of the V's, but I don't think he would do such a boneheaded decision"
"I don't know"Now having a worried expression."I went to check if he went to cool off at the Botany room, but didn't see him there. I even asked Husk, and Nifty if they saw him head downstairs, but both them said they didn't"
"Maybe he just went to his room to cool off, I would probably to the same thing if I was in his shoes"

"How about we just get past this whole topic and just put the tv on and snuggle for the night" Lifting up the red velvet silk covers with a smile and endearing look to her sole eye."Let's not think too much over something too nerve-wracking"

"The same as it was five minutes ago. Everyone arriving to the banquet are either being ushered inside the complex the moment they arrive, or standing around the terrance mingling with some of the other guest's"
The voices came from both exiled shinobi and party-fueled overlord as they hid within the walls from the farthest direction of the mansion. Choosing to stick to the walls of the property and using the high lengths of the crimson trees scarred through the area to keep in the shadows.
"Do you see any of the help?" Asked the one-eyed sinner as she looked once more to her side to see if any of the guards patrolling the perimeter.
"I see a group of five out in the back near the garbage cans having a smoke break" Replied the blond with narrow eyes as he saw two of them drop their buds and head back in."Correction, two of them just went inside leaving the other three by themselves"
"Yeah, the sooner we knock them out, the sooner we can get inside before anyone notice that their gone" Said Cherry looking over the blond's shoulders and see where he was staring at."I'll doubt they'll make much of a fuzz if a couple of the help go missing for a bit, even less tell difference between the real ones and the fakes with all the noise happening inside"
"Okay then, let's get a little bit closer to wheat them out somewhere quiet and take their uniforms" Replied the shinobi thanking internally that the party would act as good coverage in their disguise.
"Hopefully those disguises you mentioned work as good as you make them out to be"
"While am not as skilled in Gentjutsu as some others I've known to be experts" Sneaking through some of the trees as quietly as possible followed by the cyclops behind him."Am no slouch in making a passable disguise"
"Well, fingers cross that it I didn't come all the way here to be rip to pieces if it ended not working"
"Trust me it will"
"I'll believe it once were safe inside"
"Then let's not waste anymore time"
The two proceeded to continue on the path all while keeping their backs close to the shadows provided by the trees, while making sure not to be seen by prying eyes. The sound emanating from the ongoing party worked in their favor in keeping much of the security guards and the servants close to the the occasional patrol made their routine check-ups here and there to spot any intruders on the property.
The blond could make out some of the silhouettes of an upcoming patrol near the far end of the perimeter wall, fortunately they were still too far for them to be noticed by them, and with the pace they were keeping meant that it would be some time before they had to worry about them.
Both human and one-eyed overlord now stood crotched behind the bins of thrash near the three smoking servants, thankful that the trash they were at had a miniature wall that kept them concealed from the back.
Now that they were closer to their intended targets, Naruto could now make out the three servants standing outside on their tallest of the group was that of a lizard with a mane of purple hair that contrasted with his deep-green scaled skin whose entire face was protruding forward. Another characteristic that also made him stand out was the eye drop tattoo under the right eye lid.
The only female of the group was of that average build compared to the lizard's lanky frame, and was of medium breast size that ranged around B-cup. She herself had a pixie cut that was grey in color that went along with the same color of her eyes. Her entire appearance was that of a wolf species, but with a smaller muzzle that did not stick out as much as a regular one would.
The last member of the group was the same height as the female that rounded up to around 5,8 to their tallest member of 6,2. This was a more normal looking one in appearance, or at least what qualified as normal in Hell had a face that resembled that of a human almost close in looks as Vaggie. Having long straight hair that pitch black and skin that was deathly pale with purple eyes with sliths in the middle and clawed shaped fingers.
All three of them had the standard uniform provided by the catering company they worked under that consisted of a red button up vest with a white shirt tucked underneath that was capped off with a black bowtie. The lower garments were a pair of black pants and same color laced dress shoes.
"They seem to be in deep talks with each other" Said the shinobi as he kept his eyes on them.
"Heads up" Whispered Naruto as he paused alongside on of the heavy bin dumpsters."One of the three is heading this way"
"Is it a guy, or woman"
"Guy"
"Okay, let me handle this, and get that disguise working. I don't want anyone to see my mug" She said as she quickly moved in front of him.
"Should be on by now"
"Alright as better time, than ever" Steeling her nerves and tensing her muscles if the moment called for some quick action."Here I go"
"Just do it as quietly as possible"
"He won't even know what hit him"
"Come on Zed!, the sooner you take piss the sooner we can get back, before Marko chews our asses again!"
"Go ahead without me" Zed replied back taking another puff from his cigarette."I don't piss right if am rushed"
"Mark is not gonna like it if you're not with us" The other one replied, throwing her half-finished bud to the ground, before stomping it out with her hoof foot."You know how he gets if we're not all inside serving drinks. He still has a hard on for you from the last gig"
"Well, tell that fucking pig that I'll go in once I handle my business, then I'll head back" He said as he briefly turned back to look at both his co-workers."Don't wait up"
Both his colleagues just stared at their smoking companion disappear behind one of the trash bins as soon as he was done addressg them.
"Dev, how you head back in and stall some time for us" The female of the group suggested."I'll hang back until his finishes up to make sure he comes back, because knowing Zed he'll take his sweet time"
"Well, is good that Mark likes you better anyway of the three of us"
"But not the type I like" Rubbing the back of his fur-covered head with his open hand."Just being close to him makes me want to breakout in chills"
"We'll owe you one" Putting a heavier emphasis on the last word.
"I know you guys will" Throwing away his mostly finished bud and flicking to the ground."Just don't take too long, or our asses are gonna shit canned if we keep getting on his bad side"

"Whatever" Walking up the small steps to the back door leading back to the kitchen."Make sure Zed comes back with you, Liz"
"I will"She replied back as she saw the final visage of him as he went back inside through the backdoor of the house."Zed, you better not take to-"
"Did I keep you waiting?" A familiar voice called out.
Stopping midway through her sentence, Liz turned back and saw the image of her friend Zed holding his hands in his pockets with a sheepish smile plastered across his face.
"That didn't take long," She noted.
"Guess their wasn't much in the tank to let out"
"Doesn't matter let's just head back in before Mar-"
Lizbeth wouldn't be able to finish her sentence as the moment she turned her back from her colleague her vision instantly went dark and unconsciousness greeted her once she felt a pressure hit the back of her head.
"Whoa, what the hell did you do to her?" Asked Cherrie coming out from their hiding spot and seeing the servant collapsed quickly once the blond got near her back."She went down like nothing"
"Nothing much, just pinched the back of the pressure point on her neck" Putting the unconsciousness woman on his shoulders."Best method to take down someone non-lethally"
"Pressure points, huh?" The overlord asked out loud."I just put my guy in a gotta teach me how it works"
"I'll teach you the basics when were done with what we came here for" Lugging the woman to the back of the trash bin where her other co-worker was laying down in a undressed state."Here, you better change quickly, before their other friend comes looking for them"
"You don't have tell me twice" Already starting to get to work in undressing as she quickly took of her shirt, something that got Naruto to turn around quickly to avoid peeping."Don't get shy me now, blondie"
"I….thought you were gonna change behind the dumpster" He said with a blush as he was able to spot some exposed cleavage the moment she took off her two straped shirt.
"You did, but I don't see what's the big deal" Cherrie said as she got the button up red shirt done, and was now getting the pants going."Were all know how we look behind our clothes, so there's no point in being of shame of it"
"Is just discretion that's all"
"God, you almost sounded like my mother" She added as she was already done putting on the black pair of pants alongside that of black laced shoes."Besides not like it bothered me as much seeing get naked in front of me"Capping it off with a smile.
"That was only because we needed to get these two's outfits as quickly as we could"Stammering a bit."That's all"
"Sure it was" Shaking her head at that all while tying up her long hair with a couple of bands."Not that am complaining having front row view in what your packing underneath all those layers"
The small blush that the blond had became even more pronounced at her response,but instead of following up with his rebuttal, both occupants turned their heads to the sound of a loud commotion coming from the front of the entrance that was a mix of loud laughter and explosive music.
"Looks like the party just begun"
"We need to get going if we want to avoid getting under their radar "Naruto said as he refocused his attention to already clothed cyclops."You ready for your new look?"
"If seeing you turned into a completely different person in front my eyes could pull the wool on other's, then I am all for looking different to see what type of shit I could get into" Excited in being able to look like a completely different person.
"Alright then" Now done with hiding the disposed bodies and making sure to have them their biddings tightly strapped to avoid them from moving around if they managed to regain consciousness."Now close your eye, and get ready for the new you."
Slowly closing her sole eyeball, all Cherrie could feel was Naruto stepping close to her and hearing the sound of quick movements hailing right in front of her that almost sounded as if fingers were popping all that same time and the air whipping around it. And the feeling of an item draped on her neck.
"Now open it"
Once she did the first thing she set her sights on was her arms, and saw the perceived new changes.
"I look the same" Sounded disappointed at the lack of difference."Did something go wrong?" Giving her body a more thorough once-over and seeing much was the same other than the amulet around her collar bone."Was this?"
"How about you see yourself with this, before casting judgement on my work" Handing over one of the cutting knives from the hotel's kitchen."You won't be disappointed"
Grabbing onto the handle of the blade, she raised it up to eye level and raised her brow in surprise at what greeted her. Gone was entire physical self and there came the exact identical appearance of the female servant staring back at her from where she stood, instead of the actual one.
"Would I'll be damned" Moving the blade around to see more of her new body."Almost feels as though am not even her"
"It's practically a schematic disguise kept together by that amulate I put around your neck" Pointing at the object he gave her."It helps to keep up the disguise as long as you have it on you at all times"
"How did you manage to pull that off?"
"With the free time I get when am not out a helping hand back at the hotel, I mostly spend my time either training, or working on some new techniques that don't drain too much of chakra"
"Is that gonna be a problem once we go inside?" Wanting to know to the extend of what he could if things went sideways."Because I need some reassurance that you can keep up with me if things start to get ugly"
"I can promise that I can protect myself find even without using any of the big guns, but if I need to, and I hope it doesn't I can dish out some of the heavy guns to blow our way out"
"When you put like that it now makes me curious in what you got up your sleeve" Remembering snippets of the story he told when she was present at the dinner last month."Can make an explosion as big as you made when you where on the moon"
"That is gonna be left if were really in a bind to get out, but the good is that I don't I'll have to resort to that as I have a contingency plan if this goes without hitch"
"Come on, tell me what it is"
"I am, am" Raising his false paws up."What it is comes from my sig-"
"SLAM!"
"FOR CHRIST SAKE, ARE YOU TWO DIPSHITS EVER GONNA COME BACK TO WORK, OR WHAT!"
The sound of a loud door slamming open and the gutter roar of a very angry portly imp of a man came bursting out with throbbing veins and all who did some seemed all too happy as he stared at the two of them.
"S-s-sorry, s-sir!" Replied Naruto in a voice that wasn't his own but that of Zed.
Seeing the need to keep the charade going, it was Cherrie's turn.
"Yeah, we're going, sir!" Making sure to sound as believable as possible without sounding off with her trademark persona.
"THEN GET YOUR ASSES INSIDE NOW, BEFORE I DECIDE TO HAVE YOU ON THE MENU LIST ITSELF!"
"Right/right!" Both exclaimed at the same time as they began to walk in unison towards the open door, and once they were close to the raving catering manager he roughly pushed them inside that almost made them lose a step in their footing.
The sound of the back slamming shut as loud as it was did not compare with the buzzing noise occurring inside the kitchen area as personnel of all different types of stations were in a constant motion in either preparing the food, cleaning the dishes, taken out the trays of appetizers, or keeping the others in line to avoid a cause a delay to anything.
"Just don't stand like a couple of brainless half-wits, get going already!"The manager barked out, while handing both Naruto and Cherry a tray of Tuscan wine beverages."Now get these drinks out there, NOW!"
Not waiting to be yelled at again they both nodded their heads as they made their way through the kitchens while being careful not to drop the tray. Naruto took the time to scan his surroundings, and could make out the third friend of the group talking with some of the orderlies of the staff.
They eye conduct with each other briefly, but the blond could tell by the expression he was given by the lizard."I told you guys to hurry up" He felt the cyclops get near him, and close to his ear.
"So what now?" Whispered Cherrie under her breath.
"We'll just gonna have to act naturally to avoid standing out, and take the chance to have a better layout of the area, and once were done with that we can find a more secluded part of the mansion to talk more in what our next course of the action is gonna be"
They continued the silent conversion as they made their way through the revolving doors leading out of the kitchen and connecting to the hallway and continuing on their way to the party by the sound of loud music playing on the far right end of the hall.
Seeing the final revolving doors they needed to go through that separated them in getting one step closer to their object. Any second thoughts were thrown away for Naruto in having the image of Angel hurt flashed on his mind.
Taking one step forward with his free hand outreached to push the doors inwards and seeing what Hell's royalty and high class had to offer.
End of Chapter 9
Whoo! Another one down for the count, just around for New Year's Eve. How time flies by when writing new chapters, but having fun nonetheless while doing it. We've gotten to that point in the fact that both Naruto and Cherri have fully infiltrated the compound of the festive banquet and filled some of Pentagram City's most ardent residents all under one roof. I'll reveal Naruto's true motive by the next chapter, alongside some new introductions that many of you are waiting to show up.
The next chapter will marked the tenth chapter of this story that I started back in July that makes me happy that I've gotten this far, and though I don't write as much with each new installment with most of my chapters ranging from at least six thousand to eight thousand words I find it enough to get the story going.
Till then I hope everyone has a good New Year's Eve and here's hoping for another fun year with new updates for Hazbin Hotel, and Helluva Boss season 2 (Can't Wait!).
