They entered Severus' office which was round in shape and covered on all walls with different potions memorabilia. He sat down and summoned some glasses of water for each of them.

"Heidi I asked to see you first as I thought you might prefer to go first. Before we begin is there anything you want to ask me?" he asked as she looked thoughtful.

"Actually there is. Well it's not something I want to ask you but something I want to show you. Before I do however I need a vow from you that you will never tell anyone else about it unless I say you can. I don't trust that you cannot be manipulated by someone who could easily look as though they care when really all they want is information or gossip. I promise you it's not a bad thing!" she reassured as he gave the vow stunned as she had accurately described Dumbledore without realising it. She pushed her hand forward showing him first the Potter ring.

"Oh I see. Well yes I can see why you might not want people to know that yet. Don't worry I'll keep mum about it unless you say otherwise!" he said as she smiled at him.

"Professor I am not done. I will tell you when I am done ok?" she said showing him the Peverell ring which made him frown.

"I am afraid I do not know that particular house crest which one is it?" he asked her carefully.

"That is the Peverell house crest and this is what I really needed the vow for!" she said showing him the Slytherin ring shocked as his eyes bugged out before he burst out laughing. He laughed so much tears were actually coming from his eyes.

"I did not truly think this would be the case. I daresay no one ever would. Now that is cunning to the highest degree I've seen in many years. I love it. Ten points to Slytherin for using good manners. I must say it that way otherwise it would look suspicious however the points are really for the best cunning I've seen in years. It felt good to laugh like that again. It's been a while for sure. Now then I need to show you something myself here in my pensive. I place a memory inside this pensive here and then you can view it. This is a memory of my life and I feel you may understand me a bit more when you see it!" he said as she stepped forward and viewed the memories plunging into it quickly.

She saw Severus being constantly beaten up at home much like Harry had experienced with the Dursleys. She saw her father targeting Snape constantly because Snape himself had targeted others and she saw how literally scarred her father had left him. She saw way more than Harry ever had. Everything was in these memories from how he'd hurt Lily to him saying sorry to her. She saw how Lily couldn't forgive him and felt severe regret pooling inside her from it. Yes he'd been vile at times but Lily could have forgiven him at least. She didn't need to do any more than that because frankly he didn't deserve more than that. The fact that her father had delighted in pranking slash tormenting others was not good and obviously not something anyone had wanted Harry to see as he had never seen it really like this at least. Severus' other memories Harry had seen were a walk in the park compared with these ones. She emerged to find him crying and was stunned into silence.

"Oh Lily I'm so sorry. I loved your mother so much Heidi but I didn't do enough good to keep her. I want to say I'm sorry and make up for it now!" he said wiping his eyes as she saw the relief from the crying on his face and smiled slightly.

"Well my own dad was no angel so I'll not be judging you for the past. It is in the past and there it should stay. I do need to ask you about Remus Lupin and if you know why he targeted me like that so plainly tonight in front of everyone? It really hurt my feelings and I was so embarrassed by it. Everyone looked at me. I feel awkward enough as it is I don't need this as well!" she said crying a few tears herself. He looked at her his gaze softening a lot.

"Heidi in most pureblood houses a family will have either one or two houses they are always sorted into and so when you did not go to Gryffindor as your parents had with Remus he found that too hard to take. He was out of line there and I know I am not the only one who noticed either. I hope you will be able to settle into Slytherin and I think we both know you'll be Queen for sure. Are you a parselmouth or someone who can talk to snakes I should say?" he asked as she nodded yes.

"Sir what do you know about the laws of our world? I need to know a bit more about them urgently!" she said in a panic as he looked at her in alarm.

"What have you done?" he asked looking highly frightened at what she might tell him.

"No I haven't done anything but Ronald Weasley in Hufflepuff said his parents told him he's contracted to marry me when he's older. I have been to the bank sir and I know they haven't. I need to understand why they are lying to their son and making him believe that. He nearly accosted me on the train with that information. He has told me he is giving me some space to come to terms with it but I won't ever marry him! I mean sure he's not ugly but I could never want to marry him when I don't know him. What should I do? Can he force me to marry him?" she asked in concern as Severus cursed really loudly for a moment. He looked beyond furious. It looked like he wanted to rip Weasley to shreds right then but he brought himself back down to earth and managed a small smile in her direction.

"If I were you Heidi I would let Weasley say whatever he wants to say for now. It's all hot air anyway because he cannot marry you or force you to marry him because that would be considered line theft and he could go to jail for it so he wouldn't want to risk that I am sure. May I have permission to take a memory of it from you so I can what he said and what happened?" he asked as she granted him permission. He guided her gently through the process complimenting her occlumency shields as he did so. He removed the memory and viewed it in his pensive while she waited nervously for him to remove himself from them at the end. Eventually he emerged and smiled.

"Susan Bones is some character isn't she? You know most of her family have been in Hufflepuff so a bit like you she's very different. She handled that situation like a pro. If he says anything more to you which is inappropriate please tell me and I'll find a way to talk to him sensibly about it. Now is the taboo really on the derogatory word for a muggleborn?" he asked in curiosity as she smiled at him.

"Actually yes it is. There is another taboo on the crutiatus curse too. If someone casts that spell whatever it does will happen to them instead. When I put my rings on one of them although I don't know which told me that it was torture curse many Slytherins used and it made me feel quite sick so I had the goblins taboo that word too. If someone says the first word they'll either faint or be stunned and knocked out for a few moments. I would prefer it if no one knows about that. Slytherins need to learn this lesson on their own and that is the only way that they will learn that respect is earned and not given away freely to anyone just because they have parents in high places!" she said seriously as looked up very suddenly at that and laughed once more.

"I really like you, you know. There is way more to you then meets the eye. I will be sure to help you get the Queen position within the house any way I can. As head of house I can suggest someone for the role which I will be doing with you. My position as head of house and former prince of Slytherin myself means I still hold a fair deal of clout here" he said as she smiled at him taking another sip of her water. His office really was lovely and he was clearly dedicated to his job.

"Sir I need to ask you something a bit tough but I kept overhearing random people on the train from other houses saying you hate them all on purpose because they are not Slytherin is this true?" she asked as he sighed deeply.

"Unfortunately it is. When I was younger and asked Professor Dumbledore to help in hiding your parents from Voldemort and he said he would do it as long as I gave him a vow stating that I would do everything he asked of me which I did. I was emotionally distraught and would have done anything at all to save the girl I loved. He made me do this and hate all the other houses to get everyone to hate Slytherin and it had worked. Everyone fears Slytherin and he has won!" he said as she shuddered slightly.

"Well I am sorry to Mr Dumbledore but as Head of Slytherin in general I must forbid it. I Heidi Marie Potter do hereby make any and all vows Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore has given to the head of Slytherin house null and void as of now. I call upon magic and ask her fairly judge and remove any and all vows and Imperfections Severus Snape has on his person!" she intoned as there was a flash of silver light and he screamed his head off. She jumped having not expected him to scream his off. She was terrified. What on earth was going on?
